Sooo...recently it has been very heavily implied that Penny's father is Peony, which would make Rose her uncle. Which would make her taking her girlfriend, Spare, to a family party even more awkward than normal for various reasons.
"Spare, this is my Uncle-"
"Rose, Ex-Chairman of the Pokemon League of Gallar."
"...of course you already know who he is. Anyway, please don't attack him. Uncle Rose, this is my girlfriend Spare DelRosa, a champion rank of Paldea and Ex-Hero of Arceus."
"...Ex?"
"Dad is an asshole so I quit. Still waiting on child support for Mom, the bum."
okay, I finally looked up where people were pulling that from and whoops, I should probably play the . team star backstory and mochi madness things sometime huh. 😳
anyways this is incredible tbh, can't believe Spare's not only following the Protagonist tradition of dating a former "villain" but also adding onto that by having one of them be her girlfriend's uncle FKJDSHFKJDS
(also this sent me down a thought rabbithole. Is Rose still allowed to stay in Galar? Did he get a trial even though Interpol/The United Regions Court doesn't have jurisdiction over stopping villains? Who decided his sentence? I'm so sorry I'm derailing this and rambling about Rose but it made me think a lot 😳)
I like the Star Trek concept of "jail" only being used as a last resort for people who are currently a danger to people around them and only as a temporary measure while working out some other supports, since the current prison systems all over the real world suck in unique and horrifying ways. But more importantly, I never ever saw that as a viable sentence for any of the villains anyways -- not even Lysandre, so certainly not Rose.
(................jury's still out on Ghetsis, but he's allowed to just wander around Pasio without much fuss so I guess he's fine too as long as someone's keeping an eye on him.)
More importantly, Gene was there to vouch for Rose's honesty about wanting to make it up to Galar. He definitely got community service, but what KIND? And were Archie and Maxie precedent, or did they even get a trial? None of the villains BEFORE them did, and Rose was the first one AFTER them to let himself be "caught."
When Guz first finds out that Archie and Maxie are undermining Lysandre, he says that Gene was happy that they stepped up to do environmental work, which means that the League was the organization taking responsibility for them, NOT Interpol.
Tumblr media
But there's never any mention of paperwork regarding them, so I'm pretty sure Steven was just keeping an eye on them from there on out (especially since he was invited to their wedding later).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
By the time Rose does his thing (checks watch) 6 years later, there ARE forms for each kind of incident. I'm pretty sure Gene wrote those himself.
So here's my thought: the League was still the organization that "caught" Rose. They were the ones that pressed criminal charges against him, mainly to set a precedent for future incidents (at Rose's request), and he met the same fate as Rose does in the Pieces AU: working in Hoenn as a scientist with Archie and Maxie's team on their environmental project. (Unfortunately, those two are too busy with Ultra Flare to be there much atm.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After a while, he's able to go back to Galar to work on the energy crisis (with non-League personnel in the Villain Cleanup Division keeping an eye over his shoulder just in case and generally keeping him away from Leon so as not to distress him).
All that to say, yeah. Canon encounter.

Overture and beginners - chapter 3
< Chapter 2
Words: 2435
Content: Nothing I can think of, this one’s pretty wholesome
-----------------------------
As they’d parted so hastily with no opportunity to exchange numbers, Steve had to wait until Monday for the chance to see Katie again. He volunteered for every errand around the factory, making a detour each time to pass the administration department in the hopes of spotting her. Finally, on the fourth trip, he almost walked into her, coming out of Packing with a sheaf of dockets in her hand.
Her face broke into a delighted grin. “What are you doing here?”
“Collecting this…” He held up the tool he was carrying. “Whatever it is, from Stores.”
“On the other side of the building?”
“Er, I got lost?”
She raised one eyebrow. “Uh huh.”
Steve slid his eyes away from hers and cleared his throat. “Anyway, since I’ve bumped into you, quite by chance, I wondered if… well if… you’d like to come to the pictures with me?”
“Hmm…” She pretended to consider for a moment (as if she could possibly say no to those hopeful eyes). “Yes please.”
He beamed back at her. “Sunday? Only I’ve got band practice most nights.”
“Sunday’s good.”
“Maybe seven? I can come pick you up? Actually, best not, if your dad’s likely to be home. Meet at the bus stop on Worrall Road?”
“It’s a date.”
“Cool.” The ear-to-ear grin rather belied his casual tone.
He looked like he didn’t know quite what to do next, so Katie took pity on him. “Shouldn’t you be getting the whatever-it-is back to the workshop? Before they send out a search party?”
He looked at the object he’d forgotten he was holding, “Oh yeah. See you later then.” He ambled up the corridor and, with a final wave over his shoulder, disappeared round the corner.
On his return to the machine shop he was informed by Simon, who worked the lathe next to his, that the foreman wanted to see him in the office and was, he added with a spiteful grin, ‘hopping mad’. Steve’s happiness of a few moments ago evaporated as he made the seemingly interminable walk across the workshop and knocked apprehensively on the door.
“Ah yes, Mr Clark.”
He smiled a smile that to Steve’s eye looked very much like a hungry shark.
“Y-you wanted to see me Mr Rafferty? Sir.”
“Mr Clark, you were late three times last week, you mixed up the metric and imperial die sets, your hair is too long, and your overalls are a disgrace.”
Steve glanced down, wondering how you were supposed to work in a machine shop without getting covered in oil - surely that was the point of the overalls?
“Look at me when I’m speaking to you, boy.”
“Sorry sir.”
“Without a significant improvement in both attitude and application, the chances of you successfully completing your apprenticeship are slim. Very slim. You need to buck your ideas up, young man.”
Steve, who was pretty much counting on becoming an internationally famous millionaire rockstar within the next eighteen months primarily so he didn’t have to finish his apprenticeship, just nodded, and then added ‘Yessir’ when that didn’t seem to be sufficient.
“And on the topic of your delinquent ways.” Mr Rafferty drew himself up to his full height, which was in fact slightly shorter than Steve, but he was about twice as wide as the slender younger man and seemed to loom over him as he leaned intimidatingly close. “What are your intentions towards my daughter?”
“I… er… nothing… You have a daughter? I… um… barely know her…” he stammered in a panic.
“DON’T lie to me, boy. I saw you with her last Friday.”
“Oh… right… Friday… that daughter…” Mr Rafferty’s face had turned an alarming shade of purple by this point and Steve sought desperately to placate him. “Lovely girl, a credit to you, sir.”
“That she is. The apple of my and her mother’s eye. She has a promising future ahead of her and I won’t allow anything that could derail that. So I ask you again, your intentions towards my Katherine?”
His voice had dropped lower and quieter, but that didn’t make it sound any less dangerous. Steve’s petrified brain tried to think of something that sounded as innocent and honourable as possible. “I just… I just want to get to know her better,” was the best he could manage.
“Get to know her better?”
Steve nodded uncertainly.
“If you lay a finger on that girl…” This was delivered at a roar and Steve reflexively leaned back. “I will not be responsible for my actions!”
Already almost nose to nose, he took another step forwards, and Steve took a step back. Reverting to the hushed tone, the older man almost growled, “I can make your life a misery and I will not hesitate. Do you understand?”
He stepped forward again and Steve backed up again. In this manner he almost pushed him out of the room, adding a few more threats for good measure before slamming the door a mere inch from Steve’s toes.
-----------------------------
At the cinema, their options were Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Ice Castles, and something set during the Vietnam War, which they both instantly dismissed as depressing. Steve was steeling himself for two hours of romance and melodrama on ice when Katie piped up, “Don’t judge me, but I really like sci fi films. Can we see that one?”
“Of course, whatever you’d like.” (He would have sat through the ice skating one, for her, but he was rather glad not to have to.)
The cinema was only about half full and they chose seats near the back without too many other patrons nearby so they could talk through the trailers without being shushed.
“You can hold my hand if you get scared,” Steve offered.
“That’s very sweet of you, but whose hand are you going to hold when you get scared?”
“I’ll close my eyes.”
“Ohh, but that’s when the monsters get you,” she warned, before lunging at his neck with her teeth - fangs - bared!
He backed away in pretend terror, but actually the thought of her nibbling his neck was strangely appealing…
As it turned out, the hand-holding started almost as soon as the lights went out, questing fingers finding each other in the darkness and coming to rest on Steve’s thigh. There weren’t a lot of jump-scares in the film, though they did both jerk and tighten their grip when a supposedly inert alien body suddenly opened its eyes. Then there was one scene which wasn’t frightening as such, but was pretty disgusting, with the slimy, half-formed pod people hatching, that made Steve, who did not have a strong stomach, hide his face against her shoulder. He then basically just stayed there, his head on her shoulder, and they watched the remainder of the film as cuddled up as they could be with an armrest between them, only pulling reluctantly apart when the lights came up at the end of the credits.
“So… do you need to get back or…?”
Katie looked at her watch. “I’ve got a while longer before anyone starts worrying about me. What do you want to do? Pub maybe?”
“I think I’m hungry, are you hungry?”
“Actually, starving! I was too nervous to eat much tea.” She rolled her eyes at the needless jitters that had led her to stir lamb stew and dumplings round and round on her plate until it turned to mush.
“Me too, my mam was livid,” confessed Steve.
“The Wimpy’ll still be open, we could go there?”
Seated in the restaurant, Steve ordered a cheeseburger and Katie opted for egg and chips, but was less decisive when it came to a drink.
“I want a strawberry milkshake, but I can never drink a whole one; they’re too cold and it makes my head hurt.”
The waitress shifted from one foot to the other impatiently. “Why don’t I bring you two straws and you can share?” she offered.
When their order arrived, Steve was momentarily distracted from his burger by watching the cute shape Katie’s lips made as she sucked on the straw.
“Mm, icy but delicious. You have to have some too, save me from the brain freeze!”
He waited for her to push the glass over, but instead she put the straw back in her mouth and raised her eyebrows in invitation.
“Oh, Lady and the Tramp style.” He leaned over the table and angled his head to reach the other straw. After a few sips, he dropped the straw to remark, “You are very pretty, you know.”
“I am? How can you tell from this distance, I must be all blurry?”
Steve leaned back. “Yep, still pretty.”
“Thank you.” She lowered her eyes demurely, a pleased little smile turning up one corner of her mouth.
Steve put the cheeseburger back down and licked a splotch of ketchup from his thumb. He looked thoughtful. “Will you go out with me again?” he asked, a trace of uncertainty audible in his voice.
“Yes please,” she responded with no hesitation.
“Will you go out with me again, after that?”
“Probably. As long as you don’t take me to the opera or something!”
“No opera. And how about again after that?”
Katie laughed, “Why do I have to answer that now?”
“Because I want to get to something, and it’s too soon, but I can’t wait.”
Her brow furrowed as she tried to figure out what he was working up to. “Go on,” she said, a little guardedly.
“Would you…” He wished belatedly that he’d picked a more romantic location for this. Not that he’d actually planned it at all. More that, once he thought of it, he couldn’t wait another week to ask it. “Would you be my girlfriend?”
The wary look softened into a fond smile. “Stephen Clark. You are very odd. But I like you. Sooo, yes.”
His face cracked into that glorious half-moon grin that had been so irresistible to begin with and, unable to celebrate the new relationship with an embrace because there was a table in the way, she settled for reaching across and squeezing his hand.
“So now we’re official, I want to know all your terrible secrets!”
“Well I have tons of those. What d’you want to know?”
“Umm, what’s your middle name?”
“Maynard. Stupid name. What’s yours?”
“Meredith. After my grandmother. Second question - what’s hidden under your bed?”
“A guitar. It’s not hidden, there’s just nowhere else to put it.”
“Boring! Okay, here’s a personal one - is that your real hair?”
“Are you suggesting it’s a wig?” he asked with mock affront.
“Nooo, at least I hope not. But I don’t remember it being curly at school?”
“Alright, I confess, it’s a perm. My gran did it.”
“Ah ha! I thought so. It’s cute though, you look like Peter Frampton.”
“Is that a good thing?”
“Definitely, he’s gorgeous! Ooh, that’s a good one - who’s your celebrity crush?”
“Frida from Abba. And I had a bit of a thing for Sophia Loren when I was a kid.”
“You and every man alive I think!” laughed Katie. “And on a similar topic,” she ate the chip from the end of her fork and held it under his chin like a microphone, “first girlfriend?”
“Really?” he said with pleading eyes.
“Enquiring minds need to know.” She waved the fork again in a more threatening manner.
Steve arranged and rearranged the ketchup and mustard packets on the tabletop. “It’s not a very exciting story, I'm afraid. First real girlfriend was not long after I started at GEC, Rebecca. I met her at the college where I was doing my training course on day release; she was doing catering. We went out for the rest of that year, but then she went on to proper catering school in Leeds. We wrote, and I got the train up there once or twice but… I guess it just fizzled out.”
“Aw, that’s sad.”
“A little bit, at the time, I suppose. But I’d started with the band by then, so I was focused on that, and she’d made other friends, so it wasn’t a big dramatic breakup or anything. The only one since then was Jenny, who’s Colin’s - he’s at GEC too, a year ahead of me - sister. That was just a casual thing. We just,” he looked slightly embarrassed at the revelation, “snogged at a couple of parties. But she met someone much more interesting than me, with a motorbike, and that was the end of that. Huh, pretty pathetic really.”
“No, you’ve proved you’re not undateable at least!” she laughed.
“Okay, I’ve showed you mine, you show me yours.”
“Ah, also not much to tell. I had a boyfriend at school, but I don’t think that really counts. He went to Myers Grove and we just used to see each other at choir competitions and hold hands in the interval over orange squash and digestive biscuits. Then there were a couple of blokes I went on dates with that didn’t go anywhere. Then most recently there was Gary, who I was seeing for about a month and a half. But he was kind of dull. So I dumped him when I met someone else I liked and hoped might ask me out.” Seeing Steve’s questioning expression she clarified, “You, silly!”
“Ohh.” He grinned down at the remains of his chips.
-----------------------------
Wending their way slowly to the bus stop, arms wrapped around each other’s waists, they tried to work out when they could next see each other.
“I’m on the swing shift next week,” explained Steve, “which mucks up everything.”
“Ugh, shift work is horrible. I’m so glad we just do regular office hours.”
“Swing is the worst. I mean, it’s easier for sleeping than the night shift, but at least with nights I can go to practice beforehand. Or on dates with pretty girls.”
He swung round, abruptly stopping their progress under a streetlamp. He held Katie’s face in his hands and kissed her until with a giggle she extracted herself. “We’ve got to gooo, we’ll miss the bus.”
“There’ll be another one,” he argued, but reluctantly he started to walk again, taking her hand in his.
“I’d love to see you rehearse one day. And meet the rest of the band.”
“Ah, no girlfriends allowed at practice. Joe’s rule; he says they’re too distracting.” In response to Katie’s moue of disappointment he offers, “You could come and see the rehearsal room another time though? It’s a bit manky, but we’ve got furniture and a heater and a kettle.”
“Mmm, what girl could resist that tempting offer?”

Just A Date - Tim Rockford
Part of the LadyBess Valentine's special! 8 Characters; 8 Dates 💜
Detective Tim Rockford x GN!Reader Mature/18+ (Minors DNI Please✨) WC: 1.2k Notable Tags: References to gun-holsters being used in the bedroom, Yeah we're starting off strong, Valentine's Date Ruined, Backup Date, Chinese Takeout, References to Alcohol, References to Sex, Kissing, Swearing, Fluff, SFW (nearly).
To say this detective only got a mere 48-seconds of screen time, he’s very quickly become a favourite in the Pedro-verse! And man, with gun holsters like that, I can see why…
Anyway!
We don’t know much about Tim, so I’ve taken a fair few creative liberties with this one! I hope that I still do the man justice!
Tumblr media
“Rockford, I’m sorry, but this case needs working tonight. A lead has opened up, and if we don’t act now we might not get a chance again,” his boss said. Tim sighed, knowing this would definitely derail his plans with you tonight, but he understood the need.
“No worries, sir. Let me just call my partner though, alright? I’m sure you can appreciate we did have plans tonight,” he said.
“I thought you might, and I’m so sorry. I’ll tell you what, I’ll throw in an extra day of paid leave in for you for making you miss your plans tonight,” he offered.
“Sounds like a deal to me,” he said, smiling faintly before pulling his phone out to call you.
Tumblr media
It had been a bummer for sure when Tim cancelled, but you were understanding. His job was demanding, and you knew from day one that his rank within the force meant he often had to prioritise work over his personal life. Tim had never minded so much, and outwardly he never complained. But you knew, deep down, that it irritated him.
At the end of the day though, he loved his work, and what he did kept the streets a much safer place. You’d sacrifice all your nights with him if it meant that he got to continue his good work. At least he now got to come home to you.
Moving in together had been the best decision you’d made, and it had made a lot of sense in the end. Both your jobs kept you tied to your desks for longer than you’d both ever like to admit, so at least now you got to spend some more time together by sharing the same bed every night. Your relationship had only gone from strength to strength ever since that day you were given a set of keys to his place.
The front door to your apartment opened several hours later. You were lay on the couch, idly scrolling through the TV channels, seeing if there were any films being showed that you fancied watching. Sure, you had streaming services, but something about watching a film ‘live’ hit different.
“Sweetheart?” Tim shouted from the door.
“In here!” you called out.
Tim smiled at the sound of your voice, the sound instantly making him feel like he was well and truly home. This had been where he lived for many years, but until you came along it hadn’t felt like somewhere he wanted to put roots down.
He slipped his coat off and hung it on the back of the kitchen chair, then headed through to you in the lounge. In his hand he held a white plastic bag, filled with his vague attempt at making up for tonight.
You smiled wide as he appeared in the doorway, his tie already loosened around his neck, brown curls ruffled and dishevelled. Tim smiled over at you, his eyes creasing behind his thick framed glasses. You could tell just by looking at him that he was exhausted, but behind the fatigue was a happiness to see you.
“Hey, you,” he said, “Sorry I had to stay late. I’m hoping this might make it up to you?” he asked, raising the white plastic bag. You furrowed your brow, sitting up on the couch and squinting at the logo on the bag.
“What is it?” you asked, and Tim slowly headed over to you. He set down the plastic bag on the coffee table, then sank down onto the couch next to you.
“Chinese takeout. It ain’t much, but I felt it was the least I could do after ruining our plans for tonight,” he said, a slight sigh coming from his lips as he relaxed into the couch. You smiled and leaned forward, kissing him softly on the cheek, just above the scruff of his beard. Tim smiled as he felt the warmth of your kiss seep into his skin, and turned to look at you.
“You haven’t ruined anything, Tim. You’re a great detective, and I’ll never hold it against you that sometimes work needs you more than I do,” you said, “I love you”.
“I love you too,” he said, reaching forward to caress your cheek, then softly kissed you. Closing your eyes, you allowed yourself to relax into his hold, all the pressures of your jobs disappearing at the contact of your skin on one another. “Come on, let’s eat before this gets cold!” he said.
You smiled and nodded, moving away from Tim to begin your assault on the plastic bag of takeout. It was always a bit of a wild card whenever Tim collected food, but there was always one guarantee: Chow Mein. Sure enough, you found a box of it tucked into the bottom, and giggled to yourself.
“You’re so predictable sometimes,” you said, getting the boxes out and spreading them out onto the table. Tim stood to his feet.
“Oh, shush!” he chuckled. “Now, fancy some wine with it too?” he said, heading over to the wine rack at the other side of the room.
“Only if you’re having some. Aren’t you working tomorrow?” you asked.
“I was, but not anymore! Boss gave me tomorrow off for fucking up tonight’s plans,” he said, pulling a bottle of red wine out the rack and then heading to get some glasses.
“Oh, brilliant! Shall we watch a film then, if we can be up a bit later?” you asked, opening up the takeout boxes and beginning to separate the chopsticks provided. Tim came back into the room a few moments later, a generous glass of wine in either hand, and he came to sit next to you.
“We sure can! Although, I’ll be frank, once we’ve eaten all of this there’s only one thing I wanna do tonight,” he chuckled, kissing your jaw once he was settled back into the couch as his hands worked away at his tie. You giggled, blushing bright red, and had to hide the wide grin across your face. Even after all this time of knowing each other, he still managed to reduce you to a complete puddle.
“Stop it, you!” you teased, jokingly slapping his thigh. “Get those gun holsters off and have your dinner with me!”.
Tim sat up, grabbing you around the waist, and buried his head in the crook of your neck. His lips danced along your ears delicately, his hot breath making your hairs stand on end. Large hands spread out across your torso, keeping you pinned to his chest as he continued to tease you.
“I thought you liked it when I kept the holsters on?” he whispered, chuckling under his breath when you whimpered in pleasure at the thought that ran across the forefront of your mind.
Safe to say, it was the fastest either of you had ever eaten dinner in your entire life.

I'm back and I'm so sorry! I won't make any promises for the last 2 ep of the Winchesters, but I will be reviewing/rewatching them anyways just ... who knows when, I dont!
But let's get started on You've got a Friend 1x11.
I hopefully will be a bit less rambly since O have a draft of my thoughts already written for this and its less... as Im watching (i can post that too if yall wanna but dunno if ull understand my handwriting)
We begin where we left off and I love that we have this scene of them needing to clean up, adds realism, adds dimension to the world. Love also that we begin with Lata being the Lata we all love - dejected in this case about her chimera paw was ruined. Queue Carlos with the teasing. The 2 of em banter a bit before Mary redirects us all to the matter at hand.
And Mary has come a long way in these episodes, because she may not join the banter (still closed off somewhat as opposed to Carlos and Lata's easy repartee) but she is going off of it and adding them into her area of interest.
But all stops when John come in blood soaked and in shock - Mary instantly worried he might be hurt, but nope, not this time.
I am so happy to see them portray the actual shock and numbness John is feeling, then the guilt and sadness, just all the reaction to Kyle's death really. And considering the survivor's guilt John is lugging around, it makes it even more heartbreaking. I also love seeing that Mary is the level headed one here - she,.imo, is clearly pushing down the grief to focus on John's issues here, hell we see very little of her grieving in this episode and everytime we do, she's quick to redirect that feeling into action - sometimes into violence point blank. She does it here, asking what the Akrida could want, she does it even moreso with Millie, where she does open up a bit since Millie is offering comfort, but then it turns into Millie coming with a plan which directly leads to Mary wanting to storm the police station guns blazing and the ep ends with Mary and John discussing Kyle (also god Mary looks absolutely exhausted here, fuck) but Mary derails it by saying they need to find Dean instead. She's def not allowing herself the moment to deal with Kyle's death which may prove relevant when discussing next episode.
I'd forgotten this ep was the Lata episode. Like ep 8 was Carlos', this one is Lata's. And god does it hurt.
1st, move the feather boa, Carlos!
2nd, I do genuinely believe Lata and Maggie were together. Everything in this episode points that way to me (but especialy the sweetpea nickname) We'll round back to this though.
The other thing we note in the sequence in Maggie's room is how close Carlos and Lata are to each other. Which we knew, but I always love seeing it again in action.
Before we continue with the emotional core of this ep, we have to get back to plot with Betty! I love Betty..I also can't blame her for being ....hesitant to say the least. Like imagine what she's seen so far: the guy who, before leaving to the marines illegally, proposed to her, is suddently interacting with, apparently, imfamous Mary Campbell, who is seen at several murder/investigation scenes suddenly appears ro have killed someone? And she already knows John had anger issues before hand. Like i get her here. And still shes trying to be nice while doing her job.
Which leads me to the next part, her job. So the detective... he's wording (even with him being really Akrida) echoes a lot of corrupt cop rethoric which only gets further emphasized when he later threatens to have John... killed 'accidently'. And, on top of them, speaking pf policw corruption even a 'good cop' like Betty becomes complicit simply because of the power the Akrida gained via the detective role cuz she was unwittingly helping them throughout.
But god, was John a bit too cocky here. (My notes have this marked as "this is why you let villains monologue, John!"). Especially since he actually doesn't have any info on Dean. (Love that we see the pic of Dean, missed him) l.
Meanwhile Lata and Carlos have found the bracelet and it's fucked them over. Also, I fucking hate the shadows thing, very creepy. Also also it reminds me of the daeva that Meg uses in s1 of SPN. I'm also reminded of SPN with the story the detective tells John about how they'll get rid of him - SPN's own crooked cop ep featured exactly this sorta plan too, but in killing Dean.
Really though, the main thing I found interesting upon rewatch is just how much Lata is our Dean mirror in this one. Specifically, in getting targeted by the bracelet she's forced to relive a trauma (Sania's death) via Carlos acting as substitute, only this time she succeeds where prior she thought she failed (which lemme make clear, no, Lata was at no point and in no way at fault, but she did internalize that guilt - much like Dean tends to internalize guilt) . Which Dean, much like Lata ends up doing when getting involved with this universe, ends up reliving a trauma (his parents death - Mary especially) of something he failed, in his mind, to prevent/save via rescuing this universe's Mary. And much like Lata, who can't undo what happened to Sania, but can "begin to make it better" (the Hey Jude line just hit me so I had to use it), so too can Dean. It won't change what happened in his life, wont save his mom, but it will help him heal nonetheless.
Adding to this Maggie? Who opperates as a Cas parallel here - she was Lata's person, who shared everything with Lata but Lata couldn't in turn for fear of judgement/shame, who notably is dead and thus Lata can't ever reveal her secret to. Well, it hurts is what it does.
But watching this I noticed another interesting thing though, for all that the bracelet seems to work like Osiris (pulling on the guilt the person feels is most agregious), the bracelet actually seems to want the wearer to get out. Carlos is taken just as Lata begins wondering which secret it's trying to make her face and is sent to Sania's room - direct answer. Then later,.even more blatant, using Maggie's face, tries to get Lata to disclose the secret, but Lata talks around it instead til the creature takes her too.
It seems like Erebus had a test for his warriors, one he wanted them to win.
Throughout all of Lata's story, I was seething. I truly hate her family and Carlos was 100% saying exactly what I was thinking.
Another thing I appreciated though, about Carlos, is the emotional maturity. Yes they were dying and yes it was urgent that Lata disclose her secret but Carlos made certain to reassure her throughout. Tried to give her as much space as possible.
In other thoughts, Lata's mom making that "vs family" distinction, uuuh it rattled sth in me only to them have Lata say "my parents would never look at m the same way"? In the Dean Winchester show? God, the echoes of John's shitty parenting were deafening. Bur yes to eveything Carlos said. It truly wasnt Lata's fault.
And I adore also the ending conversation between Lata and Carlos (both wearing blue and god I want Carlos' coat) because yes, this kind of stuff shouldn't be forced out on anither persons whim. Lata doesn't have to tell John and Mary anything, it is her story to tell, but also yes, Carlos is right to reassure her that if she wants to share it with them, they'll likely react well like he did. And yes the reason this particular scene hit so hard is partially personal, but because of that it drove me insane in SPN where there was a tendency for people to push other to open up at their own whim (and yes, Sam did it often to mutiple people, hounding them until they cracked and spilled whatever trauma they were trying to deal with but then have nothing to give in return, no comfort or even really reaction, and yes he most of all did it to Dean a lot and it did puss me off) So yea, love this episode for the Lata and Carlos of it all!
Also I have a few questions, when Millie was trying to convince Betty about the supernatural, at one point she said "it's not like-" and cut off. She was trying to defend against the accusation of 'playing make believe). Also, Betty says sth like "Mary, I expected.this from" with relation once more to her not believing in monsters soooo.... has Mary ever been taken in under suspicion of being delusional? Was Millie? Or John?! I've questions ok i need y'alls opinions on this one.
Also, I would've soo cracked if the Akrida asked about Dean, cuz I def miss him a lot and id fucking gush about him at that point.
Anyways, that's it for this one. See you guys next time where we'll be clowning (have I mentioned I hate clowns?)
@noybusiness thanks for push earlier this month, i needed that a lot and thanks for the support for this rewatch ❤
@shallowseeker thanks the new posts, been inspiring me to get back to writing this ❤

This guy I was talking to months ago back in November we met at a after party concert, hooked up that night in a hotel then texted after...I told him I wanted a relationship and he said the same but was hard making plans because of the fact that he lived pretty far away (an hour and half) and said he wasn’t going to drive all the way to me to just drive back the same day so always asked if he could spend the night and I currently live with my sister and her bf so always have to ask so it never really worked out and we didn’t hang out except for get drinks like a month later but didn’t hookup again or anything...he let me know that he was also moving back to where he is from due to the military and said he was sorry for leading me on, and said we could be friends to which I didn’t respond 😂 anyway...he messaged me the other day and it’s been since January we’ve talked. He goes “hey” and i was like “hey who is this” and he goes “you forgot that fast” and I was like “🤦‍♀️ who lol” then he tells me his name I really didn’t know because I deleted his contact then I was like “what’s up” and he goes “how u been?” And I’m like “pretty good, and you?” And he goes “same as well” and then I liked the text and he goes “you don’t wanna talk no more?” And I was like “I do” and he goes “really” and I was like “yeah we can be friends” and he goes “dinner type friends ?” And I was like “yeah” but I just don’t understand him or what he means lol
Okay. I've studied body language and psychology as a side hobby for a while. And one thing I can regretfully, but with certainty, I can say, is that this man wanted one thing. A hookup. He got it but wasn't interested in a relationship and tried to derail any chances of one (in this case, just making meeting also a chore). Unfortunately, this is a side effect of hookup culture, and many men are now doing this sleazy tactic, of getting sex with no strings. It's a lose-lose for the woman.
So then he tells you he's moving away and apologizes for leading you on. Not very effective, now that what's done is done and he didn't even try before. But I digress. Now he texts you after a good 4-5 months and wants to rekindle a friendship. He conveniently forgot about keeping in touch and when he's back in town I assume, he wants to be "dinner type friends"?
Honey, this man wants one thing. Sex. And if you want a stable relationship this man is not it. Cut him off, because to him? You're a booty call. I strongly tell every girl I know to work on herself and cultivate her interests before giving a man access to her heart or body. Men like these are wasting your time and making you unhappier. There are so many good men out there, why are you entertaining a man who didn't even try for you?
Know your worth. Restrict access to your mind and body for people who don't deserve it. And remove those who are draining your happiness and mental health from your life. You know what to do, love. xoxo

Sorry I have to rant, I just saw post on reddit about how Gege hates his main trio and has completely destroyed them(I'm paraphrasing) and I get it everyone has their own opinions and they can complain etc etc but the whole thing was so dumb!😭 Literally stupid reasons only because they have made so many assumptions about how the story would/should go. These last two chapters have caused such a mayhem in the fandom. People are impatient, quick to make predictions, and get upset when they things don't happen their way. And that's one thing I really don't understand and absolutely hate, how fans of a media think that they know how the story should go better than the creator itself, especially if it's something like a manga which is released on a chapter by chapter basis. Only two chapters have been out! There is more to come! Don't be hasty to judge and please have some patience! Hell! even the shippers are mad I don't know if you ship fushiita, sukuita or sukufushi but it's really chaotic right now. Fans seem to think Yuuji's only purpose was being a vessel(which is a pretty gross way to think about him in my opinion) and now he's useless. Btw thanks for the earlier ask you answered about this because I was also upset about it but that had more to do with 'megumi is the perfect vessel actually' and not Sukuna being separated from Yuuji, anyway you really helped me deal and understand it. Thank you for that! Your blog feels like a safe haven for Yuuji and Kenjaku fans. They're both so underrated and completely overshadowed by other flashier characters (megumi, Yuuta and getou respectively) I cannot tell you how happy I was that I've found like-minded people like you. They're both my faves and I feel so sad that they're ignored by most of the fandom especially Kenny who's only misfortune is being in gojou's ex's ex body.
Well, I got completely derailed and this is more of a rambling than a vent. Sorry for sending such a long ask😅. Thank you for being a part of this fandom. Also, you are very funny even your tags are so hilarious, they make my day. Keep up the good work! And have a good morning/night!
Thank you for the nice words! Funny on the internet and having correct takes on fictional characters, such high praise 😌 I'm gonna add it to my CV
It is quite a shame that Kenjaku is so unpopular. Honestly don't know why? They have the looks, the smarts, the connection to the main character (although somehow that often gets overlooked beyond the milf jokes), they drive the entire plot and have an entertaining personality. But most of the time people don't even notice that. They're just Geto 2.0.... Or a grumpy conservative old man. No idea where that characterization came from or why it's so prevalent, but especially in fanfics I see it a lot.
Yuuji is very popular, but he's often turned into Pink Naruto, despite them being very different besides some standard shonen tropes. Naruto without Kurama is unthinkable (well until Boruto happened, but that was after Naruto's main development was already over), so the same must apply to Yuuji, right? If Yuuji doesn't have Sukuna, what's the point?
Also, I don't know what it is with this fandom and going off the rails every break week. Like clockwork the "Yuuta is the real mc because he stronk and his laser beam go pew" take comes back every time and people make up the wildest stuff. I'm surprised by how many genuinely think Yuuji is dead dead. Done. Story over I guess. Megumi hasn't gotten any points, so that's clearly not the case yet. If not, he obviously has to throw around some Infinity-level technique to "prove" he's the mc. They also already see Hana at the bottom of Megumi-Sukuna's stomach I guess and/or Yuuji as Angel's new host. Somehow...how would she even get to him so fast? And sure, switch one manipulative 1000 yo sorcerer for another...what a fun and unique concept. At this point I'm more looking forward to the next leaks because it will give people something meaningful to talk about than the story (not true, I really want to know what happens next, but these takes are very annoying).
I haven't heard that Gege hates the main trio before, but I certainly see it paraded around a lot in regards to Yuuji, even though Gege clearly says in the fanbook that that comment was simply about how he is hard to write and they want to make sure to do him justice. Of course an author can get a bit exasperated, but that doesn't mean they hate the character. If that was the case, Gege wouldn't put this much thought into Yuuji.
In regards to the trio, with how jjk works and everything that's been happening, there was no way they would stay together (assuming that's what people take issue with). It's basically a tradition. Sashisu, Nanami & Haibara, Maki's group, the Kyoto gang, they all got separated, some even died. Honestly, it would be pretty unrealistic for the Tokyo trio to stay together. And as you said, things just started to pick up, much can happen. Megumi is probably gonna resurface for at least a little bit before he dies - or not who knows. Nobara's situation is a bit iffy, but she was never as important as Megumi or Maki so eh. If she comes back, I need her to be properly integrated into the story. She has no connection to the current plot, any of the main villains or adds to the lore. Her coming back with some new strong technique would be nice, but what's her function gonna be besides moral support for Yuuji and killing some less important enemies? So far I don't feel like she needs to come back for parts of the plot to progress. If she doesn't, it wouldn't be a huge loss. Therefore, if it happens, I need some character exploration for her. I still think it would be neat if her grandma somehow shows up and does...idk something, but she sounds awesome (knew from the start not to trust Jujutsu Tech, best woman) I want to know more about her.
I don't really ship any combination of Yuuji-Sukuna-Megumi, so I don't know what happened on their side. Fanartists have put out some very dramatic, traumatic and bloody ItaFushi art recently, which I appreciate, but that's all I know. After ch 212 I got the impression shippers liked the new development for the angst. Didn't know that changed, but I'm really not that in touch with that side of the fandom. Either way, Yuuji not being a vessel anymore sounds more like it would be beneficial for them (separate bodies and all) unless you're really into the possession trope.

Critical Role Campaign 3 Episode 38
Matt, attempting to pick between a French and Cajun accent as Gambit ... oh dear ... on the other hand, Taliesin for the Mr Sinister love, nice one mate. Then there's Laura, looking PARTICULARLY cute as Rogue, which is nice. And then there's Marisha, who genuinely IS Jean Grey in that outfit ...
Meanwhile Sam clearly didn't get the memo since he turned up as Mr Fantastic. WHO ISN'T AN X-MAN!!! As the others continually remind him ... also those ridiculous extendo-arms are CLEARLY gonna be an issue going forward. I foresee considerable dice chaos with THAT shit.
Mighty Nein reunion? Really? Oooooooh ... sweet!
Liamreally committing to the Cyclops goggles might be a mistake too. We shall see ...
More whispers of U'kotoa ... XD
IT'S THURSDAY NIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT ...
Damn it ... yet again Marisha is missing from the table. I really am starting to hate this.
Okay, come on ... come on ... this really is gonna be weird if we get super emotional with everybody in fancy dress like this.
FCG: "Lady Vex, is your husband gonna be okay with this?" Vex: "He'll have to be."
Pike says to stay hydrated, kids!
Friend or a fight ... hmmmm ...
Fearne complimenting Pike is still some meta weirdness. That ain't going away any time soon.
Yeah, Delilah's kind of like herpes, really ...
FCG: "You need to hold my hand?" Sam shoves an extendo-arm into Matt's face. He accepts the joke with impressive grace, actually. Somehow Sam does not derail the solemnity of the moment.
Come back to us, Laudna. Please come back ...
Orym making red poppies bloom in Laudna's hair, that's so sweet. ONE SUCCESS!!! YES!!!
FCG: "You may not have been perfect, but you have loved, and a soul that loves at least TOUCHES perfection." Cast Compel? Seriously? NATURAL 1?!!! SHIT!!! Did he ... did he lose her?
Imogen, you're our BEST HOPE. You got this ...
Fuck, Imogen's contribution ... that's just ... fuck, she's crying and I'm crying and we're all crying ... persuasion check ... oh fuck, no ... 7? Shit ...
Gods, please, PLEASE let this work anyway ...
Wait, Pike's all floaty, that's a good sign, right?
Matt, get this resurrection roll right, man ... damn it, he's taking a picture again ...
Oh no ... what ... what does that mean?
Pike slaps Laudna awake! Wait ... MARISHA IS BACK!!! SHE'S BACK!!! YES!!! Everybody's so happy and everything is right with the world again.
Oh gods I love that Laudna's first thoughts are to ask after IMOGEN. That's love, baby!
FCG casts Detect Thoughts on her ... tiny emotional roller-coaster, man!
Vex is aiming a bow at Laudna! Yeah, that's about right ...
Seriously? Sam's gonna take a piss NOW?!!!
It's Laudna. Pike says it's JUST Laudna ... so is she gone? Insight check? Pike seems honest ... phew.
Yeah, they're in Whitestone. Chetney, to Laudna: "It's not like it was!"
Laudna has NOTHING to be sorry for ... hey, stop messing with her, stop telling her it's been YEARS!!! I mean yeah it's funny but still!
Whoa, riflemen? Fascinating ...
Yeah, that's right, WOULD SHE know who either of these women are? Intelligence of 6? Really?
Laudna: "You're very pretty." Vex: "So are you." Okay ... more meta weirdness.
Holy shit, the place is SURROUNDED!!! Yup, that's gotta be Percy. Yeah, it is. I am not even remotely surprised.
Laudna remembers what it used to be as she sees what is now ... oh, the Sun Tree, that's gotta be a hell of a thing. Laudna wants to go to it and I do not blame her at all.
Raise Dead ... yeah, that's right, she's gonna be a mess for a while after that.
Travis continues to roll like shit and I love how enthusiastic he is about it. XD
Laudna wondering if this isn't just one of Delilah's tricks hurts so much ... she's just TRAUMATISED right now, isn't she? She's still imagining the OLD Sun Tree with the hanging bodies ... the kids! Oh ...
Wow, the kid actually getting that she's FUN scary is so sweet ... oh man, Pate is gonna just blow this kid's mind fight now! "He smells funny!" Laudna: "He knows, he's a little sensitive about it."
That is SUCH a different thing from the scared kid's in the first episode, it hits SO HARD ...
Laudna hugs the Sun Tree ...
New Form of Dread ... wow ... she's embodying the Sun Tree in its life cycle! That's so awesome! Like magical therapy!
Uh oh, here comes Percy ... be nice, please ...
Holy fuck ... is he actually APOLOGISING?!!! My gods he is ... wow ... growth, man! Nice one!
Laudna: "I named my pet rat after you." Percy: "I'm sorry?"
The Sun Tree is warm ... EVERYBODY TOUCH IT!!! Ashton: "I'm just enjoying the view right now, I don't know if I can. It's just hilarious." Meanwhile Chetney gets wood ...
Yeah, Keyleth talks to the tree, everybody knows that. Laudna: "Hello, tree."
Vex continues to twist Percy around her little finger and I love it. To be honest I think he's mellowing in his old age ...
Ooooh ... Vex takes them on a tour of Whitestone.
Pike REALLY has to look up at Fearne. I love it. Seriously, Ashley are you REALLY gonna pick your old character's pocket? Whoa ... the holy symbol? Oh boy ... yeah, that wasn't gonna work, was it? Nice she gave her a pass, though. XD
Sam sneezes during Laudna's big emotional revelation. For once Ashley doesn't tell him to stop it ...
Ooooooh ... Find Familiar? Is this gonna work? Oh please let this work, the possibilities for chaos are GIGANTIC.
Fuck, it speaks! That is BRILLIANT!!!
Matt doing Familiar Pate is so fucking mental, I love it! XD this is gonna ne a riot.
Fuck, this just keeps getting better ... and Travis is DEFINITELY creeped out ... Laudna is starting to rethink this and realising it won't actually end ... hmmmm ... oh, yes, he hides in her hair, that could work ...
FCG is reminded of Shithead ... Laudna suggests he use it as therapy. Yeah, that's actually smart.
Awwwww ... Vox Machina memory lane ...
Okay, fancy dinner, this should be entertaining.
Guide Osly Kamida. Okay.
Okay, is FCG actually offering Percy some THERAPY right now?
Oh sweet, a reminder of Taryon and Doty! Awwww ... yeah, actually that might be a smart port of call for FCG actually.
Oh boy, Fearne is actually really asking for a tiny pistol for Mister. A Gunkey! Adorable ... XD Flaming shit, yes ... Holy shit, this is actually gonna work ...
Percy: "Certainly the most interesting dinner we've had in a while."
Imogen's quick thinking helps Vex avoid a Laudna triggering lobster course crisis ... Nice one. Then she checks for invisible guards with Detect Thoughts. Smart.
Mister gets his tiny pistol. Okay ... this could be problematic ... Percy advises Fearne wait until AFTER they leave the city before giving it to him, which is definitely for the best ...
Rapidly prepared potato soup ... yeah ...
One last little talk before retirement ... here we go. Oh yeah, Everybody Loves Manners ...
Oh fuck yeah, the residuum ... hmmm ... AND the Potions of Possibility ... yeah, this is gonna unsettle them a bit.
Yeah, nobody like the Cerberus Assembly much ...
So Percy already hashish eye on the Apogee Solstice, makes sense. Yeah, tell him about Ruidus. The cage, AND the city ... whoa, he doesn't seem surprised at all. That is FASCINATING. Does he know something already? Holy fuck HE DOES!!!
The Divine Gate. The post Calamity boundary between this world and that of the gods. Oh ... so the thing with Ruidus MIGHT be something else, then ...
Bloody hell Sam, what the fuck are you doing with your flask this time? Bloody hell, way to derail the whole episode ... XD
Friends in Vasselheim ... oh yes indeed ...
Fearne: "So this ... I'm sorry, I don't know anything." XD
Chetney compliments Percy on his clock tower. Uh huh ... years of intensity. Yup ...
No Chetney, the world is NOT flat. Percy sets him straight. I doubt it'll take ...
Oh yeah, call up Eshteross' friend to open the tree up for them. Smart.
Oh boy, the moment Percy leaves Chetney starts flirting with Vex. That's adorable.
D'awwwwwwww ... Laudna and Vex bonding ... it's gone beyond just a shocking reminder for her now, she really has become find of her now, hasn't she?
Did Fearne just invite Vex to some bedroom shenanigans?
LIKE a real family? They ARE a real one now, surely. XD Taliesin's costume makes the group hug a bit weird.
Camping trip out by the Sun Tree. Perfect. Oh, and it's warm there too, that works.
Matt: "And we're gonna go to break!" Everybody cheers when they realise the group are FINALLY back together, and NOW they're doing the mTh on JUST HOW CLOSE they came to failing ... oof ...
Yeah, that 2 part Mighty Nein reunion special sounds pretty frickin sweet, my man ...
Oh fuck no not another FUCKING RUIDUS DREAM for Imogen! And she's just IN THE STORM straight away ... FCG is with her, okay, that worked. Interesting ...
Is Otohan there? 16 on a Perception roll ... there's SOMEONE here, moving around in the dust. They go to follow them ...
Not Otohan, someone BIGGER. Hmmm ... ah shit, they're gone. Oh, so they were a ghost ... like with Bertrand ... someone just died? Oh fuck, who is it? Please not Eshteross ...
Really? You guys are gonna try to FLY in this? Well, at least that means they CAN use their spells here. But what kind of spell slots do they have? Ah ... FCG can't use HIS magic here, then. Hmmm ...
Oh, well THAT didn't work ... now they're just getting CHUCKED AROUND something awful.
19 Perception check ... Imogen is the same, but indistinct. Because it's a dream of course, surely. FCG thinks it makes her look cool.
Imogen tries to Message Eshteross through her dream ... no joy? What does THAT mean?
Oh, so it's not her magic, just her WILL that makes all that work. Okay.
And now they're in SPACE. FCG: "Where are we?" Imogen: "We're on the moon, bitch!"
Wake up ... well, at least they got a long rest.
Liam: "Orym's been doing crunches for 20 minutes."
Does Fearne have Speak With Plants? Technically since she just woke up, she could ...
Laudna lets Imogen keep the necklace. She will get a lot more use out of it, after all.
Matt: "So Fearne, are you doing this?" Cue laughter ... arexwe gonna get Sun Tree?
Oh cool, we are! XD I have totally missed that voice ... I love stoner Sun Tree ...
Fearne asks Sun Tree if he has any plans for the Solstice ... Nd he gives her consent to open him up, too ... that's so adorable ...
Oh fuck ... no response from Lord Eshteross ... no. Please no ...
Okay, maybe he's just sleeping. But they need to get back ... they need to contact Shania Twain or whatever her name was ... but first, BREAKFAST!!! It is awful early still over there.
That IS the only face he can actually make, so ...
Chetney in Imogen's dream ... not sure that would be the smartest move.
More flat earth humour ... XD I swear that is not getting old.
Goodbye to Vex, then? Chetney tries to drum up a little extra business.
Oh, here we go ... he finished Imogen's wooden horse ... with no metal of any kind! Special rare wood ... is it called "plastic", perhaps? "By the way if you wind it the wrong way it WILL EXPLODE!!!"
Ah yes ... SHOPPING. Might be a good idea.
Trying to get the horse to work ... Taliesin: "The tension is killing me."
Sam making podcast narration jokes ...
Is it just me or is Matt's Vex getting increasingly camp?
FCG's message to Shania is a total mess ... I am NOT surprised she hasn't got a clue who she's talking to ...
Matt: "THERE IS A GIANT CLOCK ... LITERALLY RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TOWN!!!"
Oh gods ... second message is WORSE ... they're all dying of laughter and so am I ...
Two hours ... REMEMBER THAT, people!
Gilmour's Glorious Goods! OMG!!!!
Oh man ... it's not ACTUALLY Gilmour, though. Just Jerry ... guess he'll have to do.
Ah, the in-game abridged version ... yeah well since it's not Gilmour it's probably best.
Ashton seeks a bigger stick ...
Healing Potions, always a sound investment.
Magical trinkets ... Laudna makes Jerry show off his inner nerd. Oh wow ... NOBODY speaks Elven? Really? Fancy little magic flying griffon toy ...
FCG beelines to Horizon Temple. Ooh, this place is really pretty, sweet statue ...
Ah, here's the Guide himself, he seems nice. FCG seeks answers of the Changebringer. I still suspect he's finally found his goddess. Sounds like I may be right.
Ah, the tongue ... the tongue ... witness Matt die inside a little again ...
FCG tries praying to the Changebringer ... and now he's lost in the town ...
Sam continues to play around Sith his extendo-arms. Cue chiding from Liam: "Samuel!" Laura: "Ooooh, full name!"
Back home through the tree. It's only six in the morning there ... might be all right after all ... whatever, back to Eshteross' place. But CAREFULLY ...
House looks fine ... 18 perception check from Orym ... seems okay ...
Imogen tries another message ... still nothing? Damn it, this is making me crazy now ...
FCG is going to try Locate Creature on Eshteross ... it works, it senses Eshteross. But DOES THAT mean he's still alive?
Cue in depth discussion about whether they can send Pate in to check without him getting destroyed?
Now Chetney's going in invisibly. Is he not worried about the traps?
29 to pick the front door lock ... nice. Now Time for the flying undead rat ... here we go ...
Pate continues to be hilarious. He's ridiculous and it's adorable. Given Marisha's still learning how to have a familiar it's extra fun watcher go mad trying to work out what she's doing ...
Shit ... DOES Pate have Dark Vision?
Signed of a struggle ... oh fuck ... yeah, Eshteross' traps have clearly wreaked havoc on whoever came calling. Not good.
Chetney smells blood ... oh boy ...
Oh, I have missed Laudna's creepy whispers, even under the circumstances they're still fun.
No ... no ... Eshteross is down.
That perception check is BALLS. Chetney is going to get WRECKED going in this room.
Man, Eshteross is a MESS. Perception check for familiar scents ... NATURAL 20!!! Yup. Smells like Otohan WAS here. Thought so.
Chetney tries to move a lockbox and triggers a trap, gets himself AND Eshteross hit. Ouch ...
Nope, Eshteross is OFFICIALLY dead. Argh ... why can't we have nice things, Matt? WHY?!!!
The lockbox opens. Travis: "And I die." Matt: "Game over." Travis: (imitates explosion)
Lots of letters ... oh, there's one for Bells Hells ... noooooo ...
Oh man ... he really did like them. That makes me so sad ... HE LEFT THEM THE COOKIE RECIPE?!!! SERIOUSLY?!!!
Holy fuck he left them the Silver Sun! THEY HAVE A FUCKING AIRSHIP OF THEIR OWN!!!
Matt, being a sadist, makes Travis roll for stealth to make sure he's not tracking through the blood ... 21! Nice ...
They can NEVER remember that bloody name ... the Soot and Swill, good call. Go see Pretty! Yes!
The blood smell on the cane makes Orym remember his husband's death ... and THAT'S IT for tonight! Oh man!
Eshteross, nooooooo ... just when we got Laudna back, too ...

I love seeing belial pass by my dash he’s like. a friendly summer storm. anyways I 1) think it’s so funny that whenever I see his summer art I get distracted by the whole sunsetted sky and go oooh pretty… and forget belial who is in front of that. sorry my guy. but 2) perhaps gbf has done this already but I would like to submit to the courts an idea: sleeveless black turtleneck, leather jacket worn slightly loosely so u can see his shoulders / arms partially, and fingerless gloves. just because I think it’s Weirder to pull those off with your teeth in a way that I think belial would be into. this ask was originally gonna be about like. ur rec playlist of songs was one of the only things I downloaded for my flight so I finally listened to all of it and it was very good, probably within temptation was the standout artist to me? anyways that was going to be the ask but I got derailed and had to submit my piece lol. happy thirsting or making yourselves sad I’m actually not sure entirely what’s going on ✌️
dfLKDFJDF THE WAY BELIAL DERAILED YOUR TRAIN OF THOUGHT. his power.
The background taking more of your attention than whoever is in front of that is so funny. Belial is out there out-whoring himself and you're like *shoves him aside* woah the view is so pretty!
And for the style this is SUUUUCH a cool idea. They've never truly done something like that "frankly i think every single arts of Belial still have him have a decolletage except for two sprites) and the sleeveless black turtleneck is something i've seen other angels wear more... but maybe he should just embrace it bc i'm totally down for this imagery; it'd fit him so well oghhhh. And pulling fingerless gloves with your teeth is an ordeal but i'm sure Belial could make it sexy.
Back on topic, LMAOOOO. Ultimate Belial distraction. BUT!!! I'm so glad you got around to listen to it and it made it pass the time during your flight!! i'm so glad you liked it!!!
And so so glad you liked Within Temptation ahhh <333 i adore this band!! It's a band i discovered when i was like 12 and it genuinely shaped a lot about myself, if only bc the aesthetics really spoke to me and at the time it wasn't something i was used in seeing. I kinda fell out of it when i was like 16 because i was looking back at it like "ew cringe stuff from my cringe years", but i relistened to it all a few years ago and was just. actually that slapped 12yo me knew what was up. and now i love it even more.
So i'm so glad you liked it!!! thank you so much for sharing <333 i did select songs and there's a whole lot others songs by WT that i adore so i def recommend checking more of the artist if you're curious for more! esp since a few of the album kinda have a narrative flow in a sense? Or at least i can easily project one on them and it's real fun!
ANYWAY!! thank you so much for the message and the good wishes. And with Belial it's always thirst and sadness at the same time, thank you very much <333333
Take care!!!

Danny and co-star Isobel Steele discuss what's next for Aaron and Liv's relationship from here
Tumblr media
It is nice working together again?
Danny: Yes it’s great. I’m friends anyway with Isobel off screen so we’ve been in regular touch since I’ve been away but it’s nice to be back and see her face, and work with her on screen. As well as a lot of the other cast and characters that I’ve missed – it’s been a nice little experience to come back and be part of such a monumental part of the show, the 50th anniversary.
Isobel are you enjoying having him back?
Isobel: Hmm, not so much! [laughs] Its really nice to see him again. Really weird because it’s been a whole year since he left and – I know that Danny agrees – it genuinely feels like he’d not been away at all when we were back in the Mill. It’s so ingrained in us filming in that set all the time, and it felt like yesterday he’d been there. It’s really nice, I’m really enjoying playing those scenes out again.
Pleased Aaron wants to make it up with his sister after the murder charge?
Danny: Yes he knows he’s got groundwork to make up. Originally, he comes back because he knows his gran’s not very well and so he’s come back to see her. In the meantime, he can have an opportunity to see Liv and try and right the wrongs. Obviously, he left on the back of quite a whirlwind of fighting and arguing and all that kind of stuff, Liv’s drinking and everything that happened with Ben. He obviously had to get away - that’s the reason he left. Obviously, bad timing he couldn’t stick around he was dreading the thought that if Liv does get found guilty he’s lost his boyfriend and his sister.
Despite arguing are they still close and trusting deep down?
Danny: For me personally, it’s a bond you can’t really ever lose. They do have the opportunity to make up, being away made him realise he needs to be there for her and he wants to try and make amends. That bond they’ve got and everything they went through with Gordon and bringing Liv into the village away from Sandra and fighting off Sandra when she came back to try and take Liv back with her, it’s a bond that will never break - it’s just damaged for the short term.
Aaron saves her from Terry, will that convince her he is sorry?
Isobel: I think it’s a little bit harder for her than simply saving the day. Only because its something she’s really struggled with over this year, I know she’s been happily married and working on other relationships but Aaron leaving was a massive hole in her life, she’s really had to work to get over that. To let him back in would require a lot of forgiveness and understanding most of all, of why he left. I don’t think that she got the answers that she wanted.
I don’t think it’s just saving the day alone, they need to have a chat and work through what happened and go back to the start where they do have a great relationship and a closeness. Like Danny said, that can’t be broken - they just need to realise what they used to be, go back to how they were when they were both younger.
Liv gets knocked unconscious ends up in hospital, Vinny doesn’t want Aaron to visit and is protective, would she be pleased to know he’s fighting her corner?
Isobel: Yes I think with this particular story she is almost a bit too heartbroken to even say ‘go away’ I think Vinny knows how broken she is and he’s the one person that has seen her go through this over this year. Rightfully, so he should be putting his foot down and I think Liv appreciates that but it’s a complex issue at the end of the day - it’s her call and he can’t overstep the mark. If she wants to forgive him then she will, but I think it just takes a bit of time.
Sandra has been found out by now, can Liv forgive her for this?
Isobel: I don’t think so in this case. There are only so many chances you can give someone before you realise they’re never going to change. That would be unforgivable really, happy to completely derail Liv’s life – that’s not just getting her back on the drinking or trying to drive a wedge between her and Vinny, that’s a complete derail of someone’s life they’ve built from scratch, really. There is no room for forgiveness and I think that once this happens there’ll be no more contact between them and I don’t think Vinny would allow her to go back there anyway.
Is it fun to work with Danny?
Isobel: Don’t tell him that! I forgot how funny he was, I’ve been a really serious actor for a year and have really been cracking on with it and just getting my head down. He’s come back and I am struggling to keep it together a lot of the days! It’s really hard because he’s funny. I’m really enjoying having him back - it’s just made me really silly!

oh no i absolutely do not have time to talk about this because work but i’m thinking again about how few lines pete has after coming back from the safehouse
idk if any of this is going to make sense but
like yeah in the first half of the story pete might be pretending to be a background character, but he’s actually there a lot, very present, throwing these and those phrases around, monologuing occasionally to explain this and that to porsche. you actually *hear* him the whole time.
10th episode? literally pete’s time to shine. he actually makes his presence felt there on purpose.
he gets captured by vegas and if anything he starts talking more. he talks in defiance to vegas, he talks to himself, he talks to get through to vegas. so many lines! so many thoughts, opinions, so much of him being an alive character.
there is a whole monologue again in their final confrontation in the safehouse. a whole monologue of him voicing what he’s feeling in the moment, letting it all out. but he’s so tired at this point, so confused, hurt, desperate, *tired*. he manages an “i’m sorry” before he knocks vegas out
he manages “somebody help me please” when he steps out. but here he’s already, i don’t know how to say this- there is no more him in him at this point.
he comes back to the main house, and i mean, everyone literally thinks he’s an actual ghost for a moment.
in their bathroom, with porsche, this is pete on autopilot. “i went home, i really went home, please believe me” this is pete, bared of every protective layer he had, using his last defense, but it might as well be a piece of torn napkin he’s waving in front of porsche. and porsche sees it and he stops trying to get out any more lines out of pete
there is a silent scene of pete crying into the bowl of noodles. there is a silent scene of pete in yok’s bar, even as there so much comforting noise, and music and familiar voices and happiness and relief around. there is a silent scene of pete trying to have a smoke outside.
and then vegas shows up. and pete pulls a gun on him (a more real defense, still as useful as a napkin in pete’s hands tho, because he can’t shoot vegas, he can’t), still doesn’t say anything. it’s only when vegas presses him against that damn tree, putting them in a way too familiar dynamic for a second there, and apologizes for fuck’s sake, making a confused pete even more confused, pete who’s trying to make sense of himself now and failing, pete who’s trying to gather himself back from the pieces he has left and not managing, that’s when pete gets a “get the fuck out of my life” out.
and then he doesn’t say anything else for the rest of this scene. and it’s vegas who’s saying all these things that pete at his point couldn’t possibly say. and it’s vegas’ arms pete falls into, because he’s sososo tired, and so desperately needs to, and what could he possibly say about this. and it’s vegas seeing him again, words or not, and pete cannot hide from him anyway
next words he’ll say will be at the parking lot. before that there are going to be two scene with pete where he’s not going to say anything again.
in the parking lot he’ll shout to draw vegas’ attention. then he’ll tell these guys to go after kinn. that will be a fake line, that’s pete playing a role. and then he has only two lines again. vegas says he’s sorry, pete responds, bitter, “sorry?”. pete’s still so broken, so confused, so so so angry, and then vegas scares him. because vegas wants- to die? and that makes pete shout, and that makes pete even more confused, so fucking confused, because what the fuck *is* he talking about?
and then vegas tells him he loves him. and that dumbfounds pete for a good while. he doesn’t respond, he sobs into the kiss, he sits on the floor as vegas escapes. and not to derail my pretty serious very emotional about pete post with my stupid metaphors, but i’m pretty sure it was pete’s windows system finally restarting after all this time of him being almost fully silent, not being able to understand or express himself in any way since he escaped. this rewired pete
he finally knew what he wanted to say

Hi, I was reading your post about Jason punching Dick in the face when Dick revealed he fake his death was bullshit ( which it was) and it reminded me of an issue/question that has bothered me for sometime.
Why did people believe Dick was actually dead?
I’m not the most avid comic reader so maybe I missed something but it was always weird to me that everyone just accepted this especially given how Bruce was acting or should I say wasn’t acting.
This is a man when his child died another child had to come along and told him sir you are being too violent and emotional you need supervision. When his other child died he went all over the universe to bring him back to life because he knew it was possible ( which was happening at the same time), so why didn’t anyone think it was weird he wasn’t doing that for Dick. Can you imagine Dick really dying that soon after Damian it would be injustice Batman Version. You are telling me that Tim, Jason or Barbara didn’t think it was weird that Bruce didn’t also bring Dick’s corpse to the bring Damian back to life mission or mention it to themselves. Like what more likely Dick dead and Bruce is handling it well or that he fake his death to do something stupid and Dangerous after his partner/brother/ little bit my son the feelings are complicated died after he was knocked out and woke up to his corpse.
Oh man, this is like, the entire nature of my beef?
(Slight derail just to emphasize the fact real quick that Dick DID actually die, he was just revived quickly, but like, the trauma of his death was very real and its not like anyone was clued into Luthor having a resurrection backdoor built into his literal murder of Dick in the actual moment of it happening. So Dick’s death wasn’t fake, and additionally, he didn’t have anything to do with like, telling people about it, because he was literally comatose in the cave and recovering while Bruce was telling people....by the time Dick woke up in the cave, we already know that Alfred at least had already been convinced by Bruce that Dick was dead, so I have a kneejerk need to pushback against the Dick faked his death narrative by reminding people wherever possible that Dick had no agency in the spreading of that narrative.
It happened without him being involved, and the only actual contribution he ever made to it was just not revealing he was alive before Grayson #12, after Bruce like.....emotionally, mentally and physically badgered him into accepting that doing so would be directly harmful to his family and he didn’t want to be the reason more people died when like, people had just died because he ‘let’ himself be captured and interrogated by Power Woman’s Lasso of Submission, did he?
SORRY TO BE PEDANTIC, just wanted to start this off on a clarification, even though I know the aim of your ask was very much in tune with the rest of my response. A lot of people don’t read the actual comics, so like, I’m never gonna skip over an opportunity to emphasize that the shorthand people use to refer to Dick’s death and the year he was with Spyral, is like, literally just shorthand for describing it. Its not actually an accurate description of how all that went down and who had the most hand in it).
BUT ANYWAY. BACK TO THE MEAT OF THE BEEF.
Okay so like, not only was the entire family and Bruce himself giving Dick shit for his death and Spyral, like, PAINFULLY egregious because it was literal victim blaming in every possible sense of the word....
None of it made a LICK of sense with ANY of their characterizations, and they ONLY all accepted it on face value because the Plot Demanded It, and when you're like, no, as a reader I say The Plot Demanded It is not a good enough reason for me to be like well sure, that makes sense......looking at the characters ACTUAL actions at face value pretty much just makes them all look like assholes?
Like, Tim has never gracefully accepted anyone's death. Ever. This is core characterization for him. He will go to the ends of the earth for his loved ones and to bring them back, prove they're not dead, refuse to let death be the final verdict for them. He was tempted to use the Lazarus Pit to bring his parents back to life. He refused to accept Bruce was dead long before he had any proof whatsoever of that theory. He tried to clone his BFF/future-husband Kon in his fucking basement like, dude was two whole inches away from going Full Dark Side in his quest to bring back a lost loved one no matter WHAT the cost.....and then you've got Dick unmasked onscreen, killed offscreen, and Bruce then reporting to the rest of them with zero inflection 'oh Dick's dead now. Its very sad' and Tim's just like, sure. Sounds legit.
I mean?!?!
And you're SO RIGHT ABOUT THE DAMIAN THING! Bruce LITERALLY LITERALLY LITERALLY went BEYOND the ends of the Earth, like, he full on chartered a fucking space ship to fly his whole family out to APOKOLIPS to bring Damian back from the dead by going to EXTREME lengths.....WHILE everyone else thought Dick was dead....
And not a single person looked at Bruce and was like, okay, not that we're not down to do this for Damian because we miss Stabby Smurf something fierce ourselves, but.....what the fuck is UP with you dude? Why aren't you displaying ANY hint of this same kind of energy in regards to your eldest son that you said you watched die right in front of you?
Like....I don't know that we were actually ever told that Dick's coffin was empty or had a fake in it, but like....this family of detectives who refuse to accept death, defy death, COME BACK FROM THE DEAD....not a single one of them said like, okay, if I'm gonna like, ACCEPT accept that Dick is dead and gone for good, I need to at least just see him one last time? That's literally all it would have taken for someone to realize hey something's a little wonky here. Where's the dead body, Pops?
Since when has Jason ever missed an opportunity to prove Bruce is a) full of shit, b) acting like an emotionless robot and all his kids deserve better especially when they've just like....died, c) just factually incorrect and wrong and jumped to a conclusion before it was conclusively proved, d) lying like a liar or e) all of the above?
Nobody even ASKED if Dick's body could be put in a Lazarus Pit? Yeah, Jason wouldn't necessarily recommend it himself, given what it put him through, but actually fuck that, I take that back, because I'm NOT actually of the opinion that Jason full on hates his life and actively spends every second of every day wishing he hadn't been resurrected, even if it had come with a huge buffet of additional trauma and pain.
And that's kinda what's implied when people just take it for granted that he would never be on board with any scenario involving using a Lazarus Pit to bring Dick back, because it suggests that based even just on his own experiences and feelings, he honestly believes Dick would prefer being dead and not have ANY further opportunities to be with his loved ones, his friends, help save the damn world again at some future point.....that Jason, projecting based just off himself, legit feels Dick would rather be dead than have another shot at life even WITH the downsides of Lazarus Pit usage? Nope. Sorry, I don't buy it.
Speaking of not buying it.....you know what was missing from all those soliloquies the others monologued at Dick about how they felt and were hurt and just devastated by his death, to such a point they can't seem to muster a single shred of happiness that he's NOT dead still -
(seriously, Damian was the ONLY person in ALL THE LANDS OF EMOTION-HAVING who expressed ANY kind of positive reaction to having Dick back. We were so fucking cheated of like.....ANY opportunity to have the characters show just how much they valued him by just being fucking HAPPY he was alive, no matter what else was involved....and then most of fandom compounded that by for years being like mmmm, no, Dick didn't get yelled at enough by his family for what HE put THEM through. Needs more yelling. More punching too. Bad Dick. Bad. This is the only way you'll learn not to die and get shipped off on a mission that you don't want but at least is to protect your family after being beaten into it by your dad whilst victim blaming you for dying in the first place. WHEN WILL YOU LEARN TO THINK ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE AND THEIR FEELINGS FOR A CHANGE, DICK?!?)
- But like, BUT I DIGRESS aside....you know what was missing from all those monologues about how hard DICK'S death and ensuing year of basically exile from his loved ones was for EVERYONE BUT HIM?
We never got a single line of explanation as to what everyone else officially thinks even happened to him in the first place?
Like, did Bruce straight up just say oh bad news kids, your brother umm. Expired. Spontaneously. There's no one to blame, he just keeled over, its all very sad.
Is that how that went down?
You're telling me that the explanation of Dick's death didn't come with a single pointed finger at someone for this family of blame-happy vigilantes to like, BLAME for the loss of this brother they all mourned oh so much, they just couldn't help but blame him for all the hurt it caused them?
The family that in every other fic is like OBSESSED with avenging and being avenged and all things vengeful and even tangentially vengeance-y....like didn't ask for a single detail on whomst the fuck deprived us of our brother-having?
Where were the attempts on Luthor's life by Jason (who I mean, yeah I know it was in a previous continuity, but erasing that timeline doesn't erase my awareness of the time Dick killed Jason's murderer so like.....mmm, just saying, woulda been nice)....where was the rage directed at the Crime Syndicate and references to how seriously and personally the Batfam took making sure that they were PUNISHED for all this and would never be free to wreak havoc on their world or their family again? What did they tell Damian when he came back to life, and how are you going to tell me that this fraternal little ball of fury didn't aim himself like a cannonball at whomever the fuck had DARED take HIS Batman from him when Damian wasn't around to have his back?
Not only does everyone else's desire to be avenged start falling really flat the second you factor in hey maybe Dick feels "mmm what about MY avenging" sometimes, and why doesn't anyone ever care about doing that for him.....but also, y'know what REALLY sucks about the ONLY person we actually SEE being blamed for Dick's death and ensuing absence being like....Dick himself?
Not only were his family all super keen on making all of this HIS fault and HIM the bad guy because of how it made them all feeeeeeel (and meanwhile fuck his feelings, am I right Batfam hfaklshfklahfkla).....
They somehow found a way to justify prioritizing this OVER ever even getting around to blaming some villain for his death in the FIRST place, in the entire year or so they thought he was still dead!
Like, you couldn't come up with a single target in all that time, but Dick's back two seconds, and you don't even give him a chance to EXPLAIN before you're punching him, shutting him down with 'I expected better from you' and turning away with 'I don't want to hear it, why am I surprised Dick Grayson disappointed me again'?
afshklfhalfhalfhla
Make it make sense!
And like, it won't, cuz it doesn't, and it never will, and like I said at the top, the ONLY reason it all played out this way is because DC doesn't give a fuck about character development and deemed it necessary to go down this way for the sake of the plot (which was totes worth it, I mean, glad we sacrificed characters for this A+ plot which was clearly the greatest plot of all time and definitely justified every story choice made or not made around it loooool).
BUT.
BUT BUT BUT.
The problem isn't JUST that DC is stupid, even though that is an eternal mood and quite the problem.
Its that the SECOND large parts of fandom decided to play along with DC and just accept the story at face value, only add to it and play into it exactly as it happened in canon with no significant deviations, and like, heaping on the LITERAL abuse from Dick's siblings while ignoring the LITERAL abuse from his father....
THAT....is when all of this becomes relevant.
Because the second people decided TO engage with the reasoning DC gave for what Bruce did and how and what Dick did and how and just not mess with any of that and have it all play out exactly like that...
The second people are like, okay we're FINE with not just dismissing this story as OOC writing that doesn't make any sense, and actually VALIDATING it to various degrees by engaging with it as is....
That's when 'OOC writing' stops being an excuse or explanation for alllll of the above gaps in character logic and actions.
Because its like, when you had abundant chance to REJECT this story and say nope, this was bullshit from start to finish and I'm not here for it, when you were just as capable of transforming literally ANY aspect of this story you didn't like into something that made more sense to you....
And you chose not to.
That's.....accepting it as valid writing. You were like, okay, I'm game to just treat this as a thing that happened, just like they said that happened.
For the chance to give Dick shit for it, see. For the angst, see.
And that's when I'm like okay cool, so when engaging with this story as is and accepting it on face value and just delving into the characters as they were SHOWN interacting with and around these events......for the angst or whatever....
You guys just all decided en masse to just hop, skip and jump over allllllllll the opportunities for angst inherent in examining even ANY SINGLE ONE of the above lapses in judgment or hypocrisy on the parts of the characters (who don't get to be excused by OOC writing if you're not going to call the story an example of OOC writing, whoops).
And its just like, uh, what's up with that?

Hi there 😊 May I request something with Jigen and the reader with the prompts #61/Fluff “You’re family.”, #34/Fluff "Are you okay?", #27/Angst "It's okay to cry.", #8/Angst "Please stay.", and #35/Smut “Are you sure? Once we start, I might not be able to stop.” Imagine the reader has been distant after a certain mission or heist that reveals that who ambushed them was her father(exact image of Dutch Van Der Linde from Red Dead Redemption/2) and his new gang. The reader chooses to go after him alone which could have even upset Lupin(he could see her as a kid sis and is the only one to know about her past "family") to a certain degree. After she could have been rescued and lectured by everyone back at the safe house Jigen confronts her. Deep down the reader could have kept everyone in the dark due to not wanting to let anyone in again after what happened to her previous "family" though those walls seemed to crumble a bit around Jigen due to her feelings for him that she kept buried until now. Heavily inspired by Red Dead Redemption and RDR 2 to even where reader's father chooses to take his own life than have her kill him or be taken by the police just like how Dutch threw himself off the cliff in the first game(SPOILER!) And her "family" could be like the gang in RDR 2 where the reader only trusted some of her "family" and wouldn't shed tears if certain ones died(NOT SORRY MICHA BELL😒). Please and thank you so much! Sorry if it's long I got carried away lol 😁

Pairing: Daisuke Jigen x F! Reader
Genre: Angst to Fluff.
Summary: That night's heist went (successfully) wrong for our favorite gang. Y/N encounters her past in a tumultuous way and Jigen tries his best to comfort her during the aftermath.
Words: 2k
TW: Death, posible mixed pronouns because of mistranslations.
A/N: I'm sorry i took so long! I honestly don't have any idea about Red Dead Redemption (i did some research tho, just didn't understand a lot) and I wasn't feeling very inspired to write this one. This has been on my drafts for as long as two months and i wanted to finish it. I skipped the smut part bc i don't write that, but i hope this work it's, at least, enjoyable!
Enjoy! ✨ Requests are still open for anyone!

The journey to the safe hiding place was silent. No one dared to say a word, as if the prevailing tension was so easy to cut just by vibrating the vocal cords. There wasn't much to say either, maybe nothing honestly. Or maybe there was, but it wasn't known what exactly. Anyway, the men inside the fiat 500 waited for Y / N to confess the reason for her erratic actions in the middle of the robbery, why the rational and indifferent Y / N could not control her emotions at that moment, but her head was a lathe, and as much as they wanted to force an explanation from her throat, they knew she wouldn't be able to. Silence.
Lupin should be happy to have escaped with the treasure that night, everything went according to plan until Y / N's derailment. And although they barely managed to keep what they have stolen, and escape in time, she could not help but think that that night could have ended in a tragedy.
Jigen was consuming cigarette after cigarette, trying to minimize the nervous breakdown she was having at that precise moment, the ashes from the cig falling on his beard. The shooter was thinking about everything and nothing at the same time, filling the car's cigarette butt holder at maximum speed.
And Y / N, meanwhile, looked at the window tiredly, while her feelings were getting more and more exhausted as she spent more time in the overwhelming silence of the car. Her head was pounding, and all the anguish, anger, panic, and adrenaline from the situation that happened was mixing in her brain, giving off thoughts she wasn't willing to even debate.
All because he had to be there. All because the person they were robbing was him and his gang. All because her father was there.
Perhaps if Lupin had known, he would have asked Goemon to accompany them instead of Y / N. He had a little knowledge about her friend's family situation, no more than what she had confessed to him. He never thought it would have the devastating effect that she was shown to have.
The plan was going as expected. The gang knew they were at risk of being ambushed by another recurring gang in the area, and they had all defense methods covered to get out of the situation unscathed with the treasure in their hands. However, once surrounded from the shadows, being pointed from every possible angle in the place, an imposing voice spoke about Lupin's narcissistic speech. He made himself heard from every corner and echoed in Y / N's head.
 "Hello, daughter".
At that moment, the young woman looked around her to make out, barely, faces as familiar as those of her relatives, but none as negatively significant as the individual above.
Y / N turned to look at him, wide eyes fixing on the intense gaze of her father, the person she least wanted to see at that moment. Her figure curved inward slightly, leaving her normal intimidating aura behind by one that exuded fear and insecurity and doubt. A lot of it.
He berated her for abandoning her, the fact that she had replaced her family with poor devils who had little to offer her, putting himself on a pedestal and ignoring the reasons for her daughter's flight. Y / N felt his gaze penetrate her from his hiding spot, and the moment she had the opportunity, she did not hesitate to separate from the group and run through the hail of bullets that was unleashed at that precise moment. She knew that if he made her come back to him he would play with a revolver at the back of her neck, and her instinct asked her to run as fast as she could to him. She wanted to finish it all forever, she would aim her revolver first.
But she didn't count on Lupin and Jigen to let them get hold of her so easily, and they scattered to run after her partner with the newly acquired loot in tow.
The incessant background noise did not persuade Y / N for a second in her resolve to murder her father. She chased him non-stop at a determined pace through every corner of the building, until they both reached the roof, and her father walked to the edge of the roof as she pointed her gun at him.
"You know, this shouldn't have to end like this, my dear Y / N" he began, turning to look at her.
"You made my life miserable" the strong wind blew between them, dulling the sound of the mess that was getting closer and closer to the two of them. "You took every measly ounce of freedom from me and stuck me in a group of people that you forced me to call 'family'. Of course this has to end like this" Y / N replied. Her pulse increased, her heart pounded, her adrenaline kept her steady even in the cold of the night.
"We teach you everything you know, you are the thief that you are for us, for me"
"I owe you absolutely nothing for it. You made me to be like this, I lost my childhood because of you and I am recovering what you took from me by exercising my right to freedom, as you are seeing me, although my concept differs from that of the law". She began to gently pull the trigger, signaling that this was his time to say his last words.
And then, before falling backwards, towards the emptiness of the night, he enunciated with a malicious smile:
"In that case, rather than giving you the pleasure of murdering me, I prefer to set you free. See you later, Y / N."
Jigen was the first to pounce on the rooftop door, grabbing a stunned Y / N by her free arm. She kept aiming at nothing, stifling a cry of anger. She felt that she had lost to him after having fought so hard to be the one to end the whole thing, and not him. She tried to wriggle out of Jigen's tight grip, she wanted to see if there was a chance that he was still alive and, if so, to be able to dedicate each of the bullets in her weapon to each moment suffered, each day lost, and each latent trauma. It didn't take long for Lupin to arrive, and as they both dragged her back so they could escape, Y / N let out her screams and insults in a heartbreaking cry. There was no time to make her see reason, so the shooter carried her on her shoulder like a bag and run away from the screams of terror from the enemy gang, upon learning that their leader was no longer with them.
. . .
Goemon was waiting for the 3 thieves in an old house in the middle of the road to the city. He had soup ready for the rest, assuming they would need it. He overly underestimated the need to replenish power after such a hectic robbery.
Y / N got out of the Fiat a few moments later than her friends, and walked slowly toward the hideout, hating the talk she knew would come later. Goemon looked somewhat puzzled at the tense atmosphere that was present and limited himself to serving the humble dinner to the rest. The silence continued until Jigen (finally) broke the dense ice.
"Are you okay, Y / N?" She raised her head, puzzled by the question. She thought that he would scold her from the outset about what had happened. But she didn't want to answer, she didn't know how. To say that it was okay was to lie blatantly and that it was wrong, a no-brainer. Thank God Lupin was the one who, after a few seconds, answered for her.
"Honestly, what do you think she'll answer, Jigen?" the thief commented and then took a spoonful from his soup bowl, while the gunman uncomfortably adjusted his fedora. "Or rather, what happened, Y / N?"
Silence again. It was too much information to process, even for her, and explaining it to them without even knowing exactly what was going on in her head wasn't going to end well either.
"Excuse me," the thief said, setting her bowl on the table and shifting her exhausted body in tow toward her designated room of hers. The three men looked at her, trying to figure out what was wrong with her. Lupin was the only one to speak before Y / N entered the room.
"Before you go to sleep, I just want you to know that we do not want to reproach you, surely you have had your reasons to act the way you did. We are only worried, Y / N. If you need help, the 3 of us are here. Goodnight". And when she turned her head to look at them, Lupin managed a small smile, which Y / N returned weakly, entering her room and gently closing the door, leaving the man in the fedora hat much more intrigued and concerned than before.
. . .
After midnight, the moon illuminated every gloomy corner of the abandoned house, and Y / N's mind continued to fight the prevailing need for sleep that her body demanded of him. Few sobs escaped her eyes that night, being that her crying was as silent as the environment that surrounded her, and the little noise that there was was that of the strong and stormy wind filtering through the worn walls.
Jigen, who smoked thoughtfully for a long time in front of the house, decided to go in to sleep once he considered that the freezing temperature of the wind was too much to bear. He shared the small room with Y / N; He did not have the initiative to enter when he thought that  she might still be awake, he would not know what to do to comfort her in case she was crying, and he hesitated to go to sleep on the worn out sofa bed. But his back ached just looking at it, and he cautiously chose to enter the room.
"Are you still up?" he asked in a low voice, to which a tired Y / N emerged from the sheets, sitting up on the bed.
"I hope that answers your question."
Jigen knew he wouldn't be able to sleep with a clear conscience if he didn't even try to relax her. Yes, he can sleep perfectly well knowing that his crimes are condemned almost everywhere, but he was not a monster, and as much as he denied it as if his life of it depended, he had a soft spot for her.
The man slowly approached Y / N's bed, and sat on the edge of it while he set his hat on the frame of the bed. He cleared his throat a little, and trying to sound as understanding as possible, he asked again:
 "Are you okay, Y / N?"
"No." She answered softly, lowering her head a little.
"Would you explain why to me? I promise not to tell anyone if that is what makes you feel bad." Jigen offered, cracking a small smile to offer her a confident figure. However, Y / N looked him in the eye, and simply burst into tears before she could say a word.
"Hey hey hey, eeerhm, come here." He said opening his arms so that she entered his embrace. The young woman did not hesitate for a moment to sink into the gunman's chest, and she wept inconsolably, venting again.
"Listen to me" Jigen whispered as he subtly stroked Y / N's back. "You don't have to explain to me now if you don't want to. But I want you to know that if you need a shoulder to cry on, count on me." He gulped nervously, hoping he was doing enough to help.
Y / N nodded slightly, while she wiped her tears with her shirt sleeve.
A few minutes passed in silence, when she whispered "I love you" to him. Jigen hugged her even tighter, and after a few moments, he had the strength to open up and answer "me too".

Tumblr media
"ned... you're so wrong for so many reasons," m.j.'s expression was flat, her eyes rolling before she continued to fight ned on who was really the strongest avenger. you were supposed to be working on a group project for your history class but somehow the topic of the avengers came up and the conversation derailed. ned was making a, somewhat, compelling case for the hulk but m.j. was clearly winning with her argument for wanda.
"nobody even knows the full extent of her powers... and the hulk? what? he's gonna smash some more?"
you sat quietly, chin in the palm of your hand, listening in and out of the conversation. you didn't really feel much like contributing. you would occasionally chime in to support m.j. but mostly you just heard the noise of their bickering and let it happen.
you didn't want to be that person, but your mind was (much to your frustration) completely consumed with thoughts of peter. and at the worst time, you had so many tests coming up, and essay deadlines were also creeping up on you. usually you were on top of this stuff, but your mind was preoccupied almost all the time.
because of peter, who was no where to be seen. in the past few weeks he had stopped showing up to school all together. ned said it was something to do with tony stark but you had a feeling it was more than that. you didn't know how to explain it.
you hadn't spoken to him in a long time now, and you didn't exactly leave things on good terms. it was the longest you'd gone without talking since peter called you a poopy head in the third grade.
you just couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. especially since you had no idea what he was getting up to, peter was known to get himself into some messes when he was left to his own devices. and you just knew ned was lying to cover for his best friend but that only made you feel even more out of the loop.
everything felt a bit off without peter around, like something was missing. that, on top of the guilt and worry you were feeling, was turning your head to mush. last time you'd spoken to peter, he was erratic and wounded and desperate. something bad had to have happened for him to be gone this long.
the bell rang, signalling the end of your last period for the day, and the rest of the week seeing as it was a friday. you snapped out of your daze, jolting as your eyes focused back on your surroundings.
"what time did you say again, y/n?" your eyes drifted to m.j. who was collecting her notes on her desk, her eyes meetings yours, waiting for your answer. a crease formed between your eyebrows, you hadn't heard a word of the conversation before right now. m.j. seemed to realise this, rolling her eyes at you with a playful smile. you did this a lot lately, she was getting used to it. "homecoming? what time did you want to meet tonight?"
"oh," you nodded, still sitting at your desk as your classmates hustled around you. "right, homecoming— i— uh—"
"tell me you're still coming," ned interrupted, his eyes wide suddenly, clearly desperate that your answer was anything but no. "c'mon we've had this planned for ages!"
"no— yeah— of course i am," you nodded quickly to reassure him. "yeah— sorry— i just spaced. is seven good for you guys?"
they hummed in response, nodding.
you packed up your books, shoving them into your bag, still in a slight haze with all these thoughts running through your head about peter. you couldn't think about homecoming, it seemed trivial now compared to the worst case scenarios running through your mind. maybe you could try to call peter again? you thought to yourself as you quickly left the classroom, forgetting about m.j. and ned and homecoming, your muscle memory alone leading you to your locker.
you swapped out your books from your bag with the ones you needed to study from for your biology test next week. after slamming the locker door shut, a familiar face was met with yours.
"jesus," you muttered as he stood inches away from your face, your heart racing from the shock. clutching your books to your chest, after nearly having a heart attack, you let out a loud sigh and furrowed your eyebrows. "peter? where the hell have you been?" you regained some of your composure, enough to find some anger in you towards him. he was the last person you were expecting to see today.
"you're ok?" his usual soft brown eyes looked sunken and tired, his hair was scruffier than usual and his lips chapped as they hung open, his eyes scanning over you.
your mouth hung open to speak but he just shook his head as if answering his own question. he gripped your forearm, urging you to walk with him. you dug in your heels, yanking your arm back, wanting him to slow down and explain before you went anywhere with him. "will you just walk," he muttered sharply when you tried to resist him. "please," he softened quickly, his eyes meeting yours.
you frowned, uncomfortably shifting the stack of books in your arms as peter pulled you along behind him hastily. you watched his eyes shifting about the hallway as students weaved around the two of you, his grip not loosening for a second. he was definitely up to something stupid and dangerous that he absolutely should not be involved in.
he'd dragged you all the way out into the parking lot, pulling you aside and away from the crowd of people.
"what's going on? why do you look like— i mean no offence but— you look like crap," you couldn't help but show some level of concern. no matter how complicated your feelings were for him at the moment, he was still your best friend, and he looked like hell. you couldn't stop yourself from staring at him.
"i need you to just— stop talking and listen to me," the look in his eyes made your heart beat a bit faster, your eyes darting between his trying to understand his urgency. "you're not safe—"
"no— i'm fine—" you were never very good at doing what you were told. you glanced down at yourself, perfectly safe and standing in front of him. "see?—"
"no— no you're not," he gulped, his eyes darting away from yours for a split second. "i'm taking you home and you have to stay there. ok? please."
his voice was horse, cracking when he spoke. you didn't understand any of it. peter was the friendly neighbourhood spider-man, what the hell had he gotten himself into that had him this worked up?
you tilted your head slightly, he couldn't think you'd blindly do whatever he said. you needed some answers. "pete," you mumbled, shaking your head with a faint frown. "can't you just tell me what's going on? you're kinda' scaring me."
"i screwed up," his face contorted, his eyes screwing shut for a second and his nose scrunching. you were glued to him, following his mixed expressions trying to understand what was going through his head. he took a deep, shaky breath, running a hand through his hair. "and i know you— you hate me and the last thing you wanna' do is listen to me but i need you to do this for me."
"alright," you said after a moments hesitation. you just wanted him to relax. all your pent up anger and hurt that you'd felt over peter had dissipated quite quickly. you were too occupied with trying to ease some of his stress, and if that meant becoming a homebody for a few days, you would do it. "alright— don't worry. i've been putting off my english essay for a week now anyway, it's about time i cracked down on it."
you tried to ease the tension, act like he wasn't asking much of you. he let out a heavy sigh, looking over at you with those brown eyes. "it's homecoming tonight, i know w—"
"is it?" you feigned forgetfulness, not wanting to make him feel any worse than he already did. you shrugged. "i was never one for socialising anyway."
peter knew you better than that. he knew what he was asking you to give up. "i'm sorry," he took a step closer to you, his hands hovering in front of you, unsure that you wanted him to touch you. "i'm sorry you got dragged into this."
your eyes lingered on his hands before you pulled back up to his stare. you pursed your lips and shrugged. "i'd feel better about it if i knew what i was getting dragged into," you pulled away from your conversation for a second to slip your books into your bag. "walk me home and you can explain everything."
and he did. he told you all about the vulture, the weapons, what really happened during the decathlon trip. all of it. right up to when the vulture figured out his identity— which lead to him finding out about aunt may, about his friends, and about you. he told you about how he'd spent the past few weeks figuring out where the vulture's next major deal was being held, how he'd messed up so bad and how mr stark had taken his suit.
by the time he'd finished, your mouth hung open slightly. you didn't know how he'd been dealing with all of this by himself. spider-man helped old ladies cross the street and returned stolen bicycles, he didn't fight men in bird costumes to stop illegal sales of dangerous advanced weapon tech.
"peter, this sounds pretty dangerous," you spoke up after he told you about his plan to intercept the vulture's airplane heist. "don't you think you should just call happy? or tony? this sounds like iron man territory."
"i can't do that," he sighed. "besides, i already tried happy— he's not taking my calls right now. something about a time out."
you let out a heavy sigh, having taken everything in that he'd told you. you had reached your door, peter standing behind you with his hands stuffed in his pockets. you motioned for him to come in but he hesitated, opening his mouth to decline. "c'mon," you grabbed his arm and tugged gently. "this heist isn't happening 'til late tonight. you can keep me company 'til then."
"maybe, get some rest, too, you really do look like hell," he let you pull him inside, following behind you. he ignored the second dig you had now made about his appearance.
"may must've been pretty mad when she found out you'd been skipping school?" you collapsed onto your bed, crossing your legs over and watching peter perch himself on the edge of your bed. he leaned forward, his hand running over his face with sheer exhaustion.
"you have no idea," he groaned, holding his head up with the palm of his hand now. "i'm pretty much grounded for the rest of the year. and i have to send her a pic' of me sitting in every one of my classes from now on," you nodded, pursing your lips because that sounded about right. "but mainly she was worried."
"well, she wasn't the only one," he glanced at you over his shoulder, his eyes lingering there for a while. you breathed through your nose, looking away from him and down to your hands to give yourself a moment. you'd forgotten how difficult it was to have him look at you like that. "you just took off with no word, peter."
he turned his gaze away from you, focusing on the wall in front of him, his eyes glossy. for weeks that last conversation with you had been sitting at the back of his mind. he knew he'd handled everything in the worse possible way. he tried to protect you, hurt you by doing so, and then had everything he tried to protect you from blow up in his face anyway.
"i haven't been able to think clearly for weeks," you gulped, scared to meet his gaze again, in fear that you might lose your confidence. "i missed you. and i was worried out of my mind about you."
"y/n—" his voice was quiet.
"and i know i was the one who told you to leave. but i was hurt and sad. i'd convinced myself that you felt the same way, and when you—" you closed your eyes for a second, feeling him watching you. you hadn't been able to say any of this out loud for weeks and now it was just spilling out of you. "anyway— i shouldn't've punished you for that. they are my feelings i need to get over. it wasn't your fault and i'm sorry i made it seem like it was."
he shook his head faintly, sniffling slightly, catching your attention. "i screwed up," he shook his head a little harder, pushing himself up off your bed, his back turned to you. "i screwed up so bad," he ran his hand over his face, his thumb and forefinger pinching the bridge of his nose. your eyebrows knitted. "it wasn't supposed to turn out like this."
"don't," you shook your head, willing him to stop. "it's not your fault. i shouldn't have—"
he cut you off, turning to face you as he did. "i'm in love with you," his mouth hung open slightly, his eyes now stinging red. "i was in love with you then, and i'm in love with you now. i think i always will be."
your eyebrows unknitted, your mouth opening to speak but nothing came out. you watched his hand tug on the ends of his curls, his eyes locked onto you the entire time, trying to read your expression.
"i was trying to protect you and it went completely wrong—" his breathing was erratic. "i thought you'd be safer if i distanced myself—" the look on his face was breaking your heart. he knew how stupid it all sounded now he explained it out loud. "i screwed everything up— and now you're in more danger than ever— because of me."
"you— you—" your brain was trying to keep up. you shook your head. you had spent the past month telling yourself that everything you thought he'd felt for you wasn't real, that you'd over thought everything he'd ever done for you. you'd been telling yourself for a month to move on. "you didn't screw up, pete. i know you. whatever you did, you did for the right reasons."
the lump in your throat was growing as you tried to keep some kind of composure. it wouldn't do either of you any good to get upset with him when he was worked up like this. he didn't need to be told he'd made a mistake, he was already painfully aware.
"you don't— you—but— i—" he was hyperventilating, completely vulnerable as he fell apart in front of you.
"pete," you mumbled carefully, climbing over to where he was stood, hand in his hair and he pulled on the loose curls, his eyes wide with anxiety and stress. you moved your hands to his, pulling them down to his side and giving them a small squeeze. "calm down," you cooed. "everything will be ok."
you trailed your hands up to his shoulders, giving them a soft squeeze before pulling him into a tight hug. you wrapped your arms 'round his shoulders, one hand moving to the back of his head, running your fingers through his hair. his head ducked, burying into your neck, his arms wrapping around your waist in a desperate grip. his breathing was heavy at first, uneven and jagged as he clung onto you. your heart was beating out of your chest, you were sure he could hear it, but you held onto him as tight as you could, pressing your whole body against his trying to offer him as much comfort as you could.
after a while of standing around, holding each other, peter's breathing began to grow softer and slower. he began to notice the sweet scent lingering on your skin. his lips innocently hovering over the curve of your neck, breath fanning against your skin. you could feel goosebumps growing on your skin, the hair of your arms standing on end.
"better?" you mumbled softly. he gave you a faint nod in response, his lips leaving your skin as he pulled himself back from you. your hand slipped from in between his curls and down to the neck, your thumb brushing over his skin as he looked straight into your eyes. you gulped, eyelids fluttering.
he was a state to behold. his nose was pink, under eyes wet, your eyes trailed down to where his lips parted. he hiccuped a breath. you tried to push away the impulse to kiss him because he was clearly vulnerable. you didn't want him to later regret anything. "thanks," he mumbled breathlessly. "i don't know what happened there."
you pouted your lips, about to reply when peters eyes fluttered down your face, catching you off guard. his eyes lingered and you noticed his head tilting down and nearer, his lips catching onto yours before you could register what was happening. it was soft, gentle and didn't last longer than a couple seconds before you had to force yourself to pull away.
"peter— you're overwhelmed right now so maybe we shouldn—"
your whispers against his lips where cut short, he pressed his lips to yours again. unable to resist now he'd had a taste. his arms tightened around your waist, pulling you back flush against his chest. you swallowed a gasp, feeling his full weight behind the second kiss. his lips pushed against yours a little more desperately this time, you fell back a step, peter's arms where the only thing keeping you upright at this point.
both your hands where either side of his neck, trailing up into his hair where you pulled softly at the roots of his messy curls. he let out a soft moan against your lips, and you stumbled back once more, your thighs hitting your bed.
your hands quickly slipped down to his chest as you gently pried him off you. your head was spinning a little, his lips were plump and pink and the way he looked at you, with pure love and obsession, made you want to kiss him again and again.
"did you mean it?" you muttered breathlessly.
his eyes trailed back up from your lips, his gaze locking with yours again. he noticed the vulnerability and fear in your eyes now that he was paying you his full attention. he felt a wave of guilt hit him, knowing he was the one that put that look there.
"yeah," he hummed. "i did," he said with his chest. "i do. always will," he was breathless.
"you're not just saying it 'cause you've missed me?"
he shook his head quickly, shutting down any traces of doubt in your mind. "i have been in love with you since that summer we took that trip to coney island when you threw up after you ate too much cotton candy."
your scrunched up your nose at the memory. "gross."
he shrugged. "i don't know what to tell you. that's just when i knew."
your lips twitched into a small smile. "you should probably get some rest," you diverted the topic, trying hard not to kiss him again. he looked so tired. he had poured out months worth of anxiety and stress all in the past ten minutes. "you can't chase bad guys if you're half asleep."
he wore a half-hearted smile, his mind clearly flickering back to the task he had to take on later tonight.
"you can crash here if you want," you motioned to your bed.
"y'sure? i don't wanna get you in trouble."
"mom's working late, so you're good. plus she loves you, pete," your hands slipped down to his, giving them a quick squeeze of reassurance.
"sure she'll still love me when she finds out about us?" he quirked an eyebrow, the small smile on his lips was sloped and tired.
"m'sure," you hummed, biting back your growing smile at the word us. you moved him to sit on your bed again, his hands lazily holding yours. his eyelids fluttered as he looked up at you, a small crease forming between his eyebrows again. you could tell his mind was wandering again. "lie down, you need to rest or you're no good to anyone."
he nodded hesitantly and followed your instruction. "i'll sleep better with you next to me."
his voice was soft after you'd turned your back on him to leave him to rest. you rolled your eyes faintly, smile tugging your lips again. "is that right?"
he hummed, his arms outstretched, waiting for you to fall into them. you dragged your feet back over to him, biting the inside of your cheek, the corner of your lip twitching upwards. "there's a scientific reason behind it but my brain's too sleepy to think right now, so you'll have to take my word for it."
his words slurred together, his eyes rolling slightly the longer he forced them open. you just nodded. "alright, spidey, just this once."
"hm," he hummed as you climbed in next to him, his arms wrapping around you and immediately pulling you against his chest. "thanks," he muttered, his lips pressed against the top of your head. "don't know what i'd do without you."

ok this got a bit out of hand and i derailed it a bit so there is no smut (sorry) BUT i actually feel like the song is more about all the stuff before it so anyway here you go and i hope you enjoyyy haha
> Song: #31 Promiscuous by Nelly Furtado, Timbaland
> Spotify Wrapped Blurbs!
________________________________
“Sorry, am I throwing you off?” you smile lightly, seeing how Harrison was looking at you.
“Nope,” he answered swiftly. The music around you was booming and the people were dancing in close proximity, whether you knew one another or not. But you and Harrison- you knew each other. Very well, in fact.
It had started who knows when. At a party just like this. He was a member of the same fraternity that he is now, and you were just looking for some fun. Like any other fratboy, he had grown a certain reputation. One you didn’t mind but weren’t too keen on adding to. He had walked up to you, danced to a few songs hip to hip, and you knew he wanted to take it further than that.
But what would have been fun about it?
You’d thought that he’d give up after not even kissing you that time, but, months later, at a party not much different, he came back for another attempt. It pleased you, to have such an effect on him. From the way he looked at you, you could tell he was enjoying it too. It had become a game of cat and mouse, in which you were both pulling the other in as well as pushing them away. The tension was undeniable and getting stronger through every new meeting. It had gone so far, that when you saw him walk into the room, festively-themed red jacket for the holiday party, you walked over to him.
“Happy Holidays,” you had said, clinking your drinks in a toast as he replied the same words back to you. He didn’t even try to hide how his eyes scanned your body. The outfit was nothing special, but he certainly didn’t think so.
“Looking gorgeous, as ever, I see?”
“You don’t look too bad yourself, Osterfield.” You took a better look at him. The red jacket fitted him perfectly, but the shirt underneath it felt like a slightly personal attack. He never seemed to like his buttons and left them open, revealing his toned chest. The gold pendant on his necklace ornamenting it even better.
“Care for a dance?” he pointed to a less crowded spot on the dancefloor. Of course, you wanted to dance, feel his body against yours, but he should be able to wait for a little, shouldn’t he?
“Not really feel like dancing now.”
“So what do you feel like doing?” In a case such as this, when the music and everyone around you are so loud, there are two options: either you raise your voice, or as Harrison did, you move closer to the other person so your voice comes more upfront. He hadn’t had anything to drink yet, so you could smell the mint he had just taken, combined with the smell of his cologne. And the warm air you felt at your ear as he spoke ran chills down your spine, but when he pulled back to look at you, you didn’t make any of that known.
“I’m not sure, actually. Any suggestions?” You asked innocently, to which he chuckled and responded:
“I got a few things we could do on my mind.” His hand, slowly, reached for your side, making itself comfortable on your hip. You stepped closer, ending the gap between your bodies. It had taken a long time for you to get this far, through the efforts and hurdles of both your doings and you wondered how long it would take to go further. How long did you even care to go on?
You were so close to each other that the only place to look was into his eyes. The icy blue had turned darker at your sight. You wouldn’t have noticed if you weren’t this close, for the rest of his face showed this suave expression.
“Like what?” you fixed his jacket collar, making sure that he could feel your fingers on his neck as you moved gently. The way his jaw tensed up momentarily brought a smile to your face and that was how you got there.
“Sorry, am I throwing you off?”
“Nope,” he had replied and that is when he leaned in and your lips met. His grip on your hip got tighter, just a little, pulling you even closer. The kiss had come far from sudden, as it was basically what the two of you had been building up to all these months. And it went on until you parted for air.
“I’m gonna go get another drink,” you said, already stepping away, which got you an exasperated sigh from Harrison.
“Oh c’mon,” his brows were furrowed.
“Oh,” you pouted mockingly, “don’t be mad.”
“Well, don’t be mean then.”
“How am I mean, all I said was that I was going to get another drink. I didn’t even say you couldn’t come with me, did I?” This had left him a bit dumbfounded. So, you grabbed his hand, and pulled him along as you made your way to the designated drink-mixing area- also known as the kitchen of this random house you were in (no one really knew who was hosting, but it was a big place, with plenty of room to get drunk, so nobody complained).
To both your surprise, the kitchen was empty when you opened the door. On each possible surface was a collection of bottles ranging from soft drinks to hard liquor. You went on to pour yourself some more of your favourite, and as you did so, you could feel Harrison walk up to you. He leaned in, putting his arms back on your sides, his chin on your shoulder, his words were soft.
“You, know you drive me absolutely insane?”
“I didn’t know that, actually,” you turned around to face him, placing your drink on the counter, “but do tell why.”
“Everything about you, in all honesty,” his lips were hovering over your skin at this point, you could barely feel them as he kept on talking, “everything you do makes me want to do unspeakable things to you, darling. And I can tell you want me to. You’re teasing me every fucking time I see you.” His lips met yours again in a sloppy kiss that lasted between his words. “I really don’t think I’ll be able to keep going much longer with this.”
You, in the meantime, found yourself brushing your fingers through his hair, messing the style up as you tugged at it when the kiss deepened at the end of his little speech.
He was right. You wanted it, very badly. As the kiss lasted you felt your knees get weaker and your body heating up with need. But Harrison was still Harrison and you were you and this whole thing wasn’t supposed to last between you. He’d move on to someone else after your one night of fun, you got that, and it hurt a little to think about.
“I don’t think it’s a good idea,” you sighed. Harrison was confused, you could tell by his expression. “I just- I don’t want to be some kind of-”
“Ok, I get,” he smiled, “but I can promise you that this is not some kind of dumb game to me. I really like you and I-” his laugh sounded embarrassed, “I can’t get you out of my head. I can say honestly that there is no one else, and it’s you that I want.”
You were speechless. From all the things Harrison could have said, you did not expect something like that.
“That was… really sappy.”
“Ok, fuck off,” Harrison laughed your comment off. Then you pulled him in by the collar and kissed him.
“I’d rather you just fuck me, actually.”

Hi, sorry for the random ask, but just wondering if you’ve seen the new Thor movie? And if you did, did you enjoy it? :) I just saw it and liked it enough, but not as much as the last one!
Hey there! Never apologise for sending random asks, because there's nothing I love more than being prompted to give my opinions on movies and stuff. :D Yes, I saw Love & Thunder with some friends when it first came out and I really enjoyed it! I'm very easy to please when it comes to the Thor movies and had a great time with this one, even if for a story about a guy called the God Butcherer, it somehow felt lower stakes than some of the others? But that didn't stop me from liking it. I liked all of the main cast and their quest to save the kids. Jane was really good in this one! I never disliked her before, but it really took until this movie for them to get me to actually care about Jane & Thor's relationship and then... the ending happened sob. It's funny, because at the start of this movie, when they were showing how Jane & Thor grew apart, the flashback moments between them were so endearing I was just like "Why did we not get to see any of this between them until we're hearing about it after the fact??" But I digress. I'd already seen the spoilers that Zeus was in this movie and obviously as a Greek Myth enjoyer, I liked seeing all the references and also seeing Thor get to kill Zeus lol. Ending credits spoiler - but I somehow avoided seeing anything about Hercules, so that was a surprise to me. I'd seen Hercules in a few Thor comics, so I'd wondered if he'd show up eventually. It's funny, because my my Hades Games fanfics I have an OC version of Heracles, who my friend told me he headcanons Hemsworth's Thor as being the voice of, to the point where we literally just write him a bit like Thor now. So when Hercules showed up in the movie it was kinda weird to see a "Heracles" who isn't just the same as Thor haha. But I'm derailing now! The ending surprised me, because (spoiler) when Jane was dying, I thought that the God Butcherer would use his wish to save her after seeing how much Jane & Thor love each other. But nope! He still brought back his dead daughter and I'm incredibly here for wholesome single dad Thor, so I liked that. :') The one part that was kind of a shame for me was that a Thor movie just doesn't feel quite right for me personally without Loki being in it. Though I was screaming when they stripped Thor and he had all those tributes to Loki tattooed on his back. I hope that we get to see them both together again in something down the line. Also, I thought that the advertising for the film made a misstep to pimp it out as being a "Thor and the Guardians of the Galaxy" movie. I can see why they did it, since GotG gets people into seats. But those guys were barely even in the movie for the first ten minutes and I think if they'd advertised it more honestly as being a rom-com adventure they could've better hit that audience of middle-aged women who love Thor (like me haha). Anyway, I'm glad it wasn't what the ads made it seem like, because while I do like most of the GotG, I really, really hate Starlord, so it was good not to have to put up with him for long. I did like the part where Karen Gillan got to yell at Chris Pratt tho :D Oh yeah, one more thing. Again, I'm easily amused, but I did get a chuckle out of the running gag of Stormbreaker constantly getting jealous that Thor was going to cheat on it lmao SO YES I LIKED IT A LOT and will keep going to see more Thor movies even if I don't keep up with most of the rest of the MCU. I think at this point I'm happy to accept that there's just a few MCU characters I like and will show up for, but I'm not concerned about most of it.
