I've been into fandom stuff for a long time but a few years ago decided to be more active in fandoms I like and even now looking at those old posts and accounts makes my very happy like I still have posts on fb from when I was like 14 talking about vocaloid and its just what i imagine reading a diary is like when you were actually happy with your life it's a nice feeling and I recommend everyone to do it

I have been following you for only a few months now as I’ve only recently gotten back into the undertale fandom; but fuck that callout post. Fuck that callout post, fuck whoever’s is spreading it around and fuck whoever is harassing you for it. From what I’ve seen and heard, you are a very real and cool person, and all your analysis are banger as fuck, and it saddens me to see that people are trying to push you out of this fandom because you believe harassment is bad.

I think it’s incredibly insane how the game about being pacifist, and being kind, even when people are flawed has such a toxic fandom as this - and its not toxic because of the ships. Or the fanfics. Or the porn. Its toxic because people keep trying to push and hurt those who make such content, and it scares everyone else into a strict line and if you dare to even step a foot out by simply going “I don’t want people to be told to kill themselves”, you are the #1 enemy. This fandom is fucking scary, and I am so sorry you have become a target of it. You are in my thoughts, and I pray that this blows over relatively easy for you. <3 you are a great person and whoever thinks otherwise is a miserable, jealous wrench.

Debunking Obvious Misinformation

Hiya gang, did you miss me? I know I haven't posted properly in awhile apart from a few other posts, so I decided to post something a little more light-hearted and fun.

It's time for me to do my favorite thing. Making fun of people who have 0 critical thinking skills.

Today's culprit comes in the form of a few dumb Taekook TikTokers who are currently spreading the lie that Taehyung visited Jungkook's camp. What evidence did they use for that?

A license plate.

It takes 0.002 seconds to understand why this is wrong and incredibly stupid on so many levels.

1 - look at the license plate format, what about that screams a modern Korean license format?

Here is a brief history of what car license plates have looked like in Korea. A lot of cars on the roads in the modern day tend to have longer license plates than the smaller rectangles more commonly found in the states.

2 - The location in the back is not a company found in Korea. It's in California.

Google could've told you that. Can't believe Taehyung went all the way to California just to visit Jungkook. The Korean army really is everywhere nowadays.

3 - Why on earth would Taehyung, if wanting to be discreet about his visit, put "BTS is 7" as his license plate!?

These posts have thousands of likes and I'm incredibly confused about how anyone reasonable would look at that and assume that it was 100% the truth?

Also, the alleged owner of the car came forward on Twitter to talk about the pictures being circulated on TikTok:

Apparently they're saying this person works for HYBE. Awww, HYBE employees carpooling on the weekend. How sweet.

I think this is just too dumb for me to really comment on it. Why is the collective IQ of these people equivalent to that of a brick? I'm sure that if Taehyung went to visit Jungkook or Jimin, he would not do it in a company car that proudly displays BTS on the back of it's legal license plate. Come on now. Let's be serious.

Even outside of a shipping context, this is just a really weird thing to post. Why are you willingly posting information that -- if believed to be true -- is a complete and total invasion of BTS' privacy while in the military? How many statements do they have to release until y'all get the message to leave them the fuck alone while they undergo some of the most difficult years of their life?

I've always talked about how if you're going to ship you need to do it outside the realms of crazy town and keep to your own corner, and engaging/sharing alleged leaks and sasaeng information is not the way to do it. Obviously this particular instance is just a dumb rumor started by someone who is either ten years old or seriously lacking education -- but this is a very real and prolific problem in our fandom that people tend to address only when convenient.

Only twenty something days until Jin comes back. Pull yourself together until then.

Awww thank you for this sweet ask! 🥰 I know you’re not a Star Wars person soul, but I’ll be using these asks to help uplift Jedi that continuously get slandered in light of the anti-Jedi clownery going on in the fandom these days. So for this next ask, I’ll be choosing my lady, the luminous Master Luminara Unduli for this post, so thank you for giving me the freedom to brag about one of my favorite ladies 💚

2- A Canon or Headcanon Hill I Will Die On

That Luminara LOVES Barriss!!! I have made plenty of posts on this topic that disapproves all the nonsense the fandom continues to project, but I’ll say it again. In every single piece of Star Wars that has these two interacting, it is always a loving one and it’s a damn shame we didn’t see more of them in the Clone Wars series. The fact that these two can fight in complete sync with each other proves how in tune they are with each other and I seriously doubt you would be able to do that with someone you did not care about or hated. Also if you take the time to notice Luminara’s body language and voice whenever it comes to the topic of Barriss, you just know that’s a proud Mominara right there and when her girl is in danger, she hurts real bad. It’s also a crime we don’t see Luminara in the bullshit Wrong Jedi arc but I’m sure there would have been massive heartbreak. It event states in one of the canon Star Wars books that after Barriss is arrested for the Temple bombing that Luminara just buried herself in work. Again…you wouldn’t have such a strong reaction if you didn’t love somebody. Luminara loves Barriss and Barriss loves Luminara, end of discussion 💚💙

3- Obscure Headcanon

That Luminara is a thrill junkie and loves a good speeder bike and that she may or may not have a thing for Obi-Wan Kenobi. I mean her interactions with him are so flirty 🤣

4-Favorite Line

There’s a line of hers in the Legends book “The Approaching Storm” that has and continues to stick with me. I feel this quote really captures Luminara’s spirit and shows that underneath her cool exterior that she’s very genuine and grounded.

“Always remember where you’ve hung up your courage Barriss.”

Luminara is saying this to Barriss after her Padawan expresses to her that she feels that her Master never gets scared whenever there’s danger to which Luminara immediately disagrees. She tells Barriss that of course she gets scared when they’re in life threatening situations but as Jedi she has to appear fearless for the sake of the lives she’s protecting. Luminara is teaching Barriss that it’s okay to have these feelings and address said feelings later but when people need her, she needs to be brave and being brave doesn’t mean you have no fear or feelings. Luminara is often seen as “cold” but this along with many of things she says and does that she is very down to earth and has a big heart. She understands and she cares.

5- Best Personality Trait

Her ability to self-reflect which is a trait that is RARE in people. Luminara isn’t perfect as no one is but she’s able to take a step back and take ownership over her mistakes and make amends if need be. The perfect example of this is in the Clone Wars episode “Cloak of Darkness” where Luminara apologizes to Ahsoka for thinking she can take Ventress on her own and dismissing Ahsoka’s offer for help. Not only does Luminara apologize but she offers high praise to Ahsoka which again is not something a lot of people can do. Most people would rather sulk and be bitter and never take ownership for their mistakes, but not Luminara and I absolutely adore her for that 💚

10-Best Moment On Screen (Or In A Book)

By far, Luminara’s sand dance as described in the Legends book “The Approaching Storm”. An indigenous tribe asks Luminara, Barriss, Obi-Wan, and Anakin to entertain them with a talent of theirs; Luminara chose to levitate herself in a sphere of sand (using the Force) and perform a dance. It sounds absolutely beautiful and I’d kill to see this on screen.

17- Quotes, Songs, Poems I Associate Them With

Everytime I listen the tracks “Master Luminara” and “Twin Moons” by Kevin Kiner because they’re such gorgeous and serene tracks that to me is just her. It’s who she is; she’s serene despite the chaos around her and she rises above the tragedy and heartache she faces later in life which is beautiful. As for quotes and poems, I sadly think of her whenever it’s a quote revolving around grief and sad poems because again, she has such a tragic life despite doing her very best.

23- If They Were A Scented Candle, What Would They Smell Like?

Luminara to be is the picture of serenity and calm so I feel that her candle would be a scent that would be equally calming like lavender, mint, sandalwood, etc. Just something that puts you in your calm, happy place after a very rough day.

27- Their Guilty Pleasure

With all the stress she’s under, I feel like Luminara would either be a caffeine junkie, a wine lover, a gambler, a pot head on occasion or a racer. Just anything to take the edge off 🤣

2. most annoying ship: the boat aloy takes to san francisco. can you imagine, never rowing before in your life and making that trek through choppy currents and storms? insufferable.

3. second favorite ship: aloy/kotallo. the parallels of aloy and kotallo being forced into roles they never wanted, being alone and outcast from their tribes, moving through their grief and rage by learning to trust a new found family? being seen by another for more than their physical prowess but their humanity and creativity? excellent shit.

4. favorite platonic relationship: SYLENS AND BETA AND GAIA. Sylens getting taken down a fucking peg or two by a teenage girl and an infinitely compassionate AI. Beta being able to collaborate with someone (and an AI) who sees well beyond her mistakes and faults. GAIA finding consistent, complex companions who remind her fondly of Lis. Sylens making Beta food and teaching her how to cook. HELP ME.

5. Underrated ship: So many. I really love Aloy/Drakka. The idea of him being such a counter to Aloy’s single-minded focus on saving the world by being an absolute goober. But her seeing that he cares so very deeply about doing the right thing and protecting his people. Alva/Beta is sweet. I dig Erend/Talanah.

6. overrated ship: the odyssey. just kidding, i already made a joke about a boat.

7. one thing i would change in canon: the entire last act? specifically varl’s death, that kotallo doesn’t fly to the grove with aloy, that aloy ends the entire tenakth/regalla conflict via single combat duel, and then fights alone twice more with erik and tilda. RIP all the build up to aloy understanding that she’s not alone and all the people in her life are as competent and complex and have just as much stake in the fate of the world as she does. and beyond that, i deeply regret the way they wrote talanah in hfw. she shoulda had that fourth bunk in the base.

8. something canon did right: don’t get me wrong, i wish fashav hadn’t died at barren light, but i love his back story and everything we find out through his journals. added so much nuance to carja and tenakth cultures and characters in just a handful of paragraphs.

9. a thing i’m proud of creating for the fandom: i’ve been in a perpetual state of burnout for yeeeeeears. this kotallo portrait was the first piece i’ve drawn in ages. i’m also working on a bookbinding project and doing art for Kotallo with amazing folks on Focus on the Heart.

10. a character who is perfect to me: Hekarro. I hope the writers, animators, and actor who made him come to life are very proud of their work.

11. character i relate to most and why: uhhh like every other neurodivergent queer with trauma and parental issues, i gotta go with beta.

13. something i’ve learned from the fandom: awww this is cheesy, but i learned how to take a chance and post things i make again. most people are so curious and so excited to discuss lore or characters in good faith. oh, recently i did discover i missed MANY post-mission dialogues for side quests on my first few playthroughs.

Your post about reading in the NICU made me cry. What a beautiful thought, that she can know how deeply she was wanted because it was a theme you couldn’t put down. The desire for her, for parenthood, for years before she existed, in all your fandoms.

My daughter is three, a real hurricane of a kid, hasn’t stopped shaking things up since the day she came into the world. It’s wild being her parent, so hard and difficult and wonderful, more magic than I could have dreamed.

Enjoy all your newborn sounds and snuggles, they’re the sweetest, and know it only gets more fun (and it’s still pretty sweet, even if they, somehow, keep getting stickier for a while.)

Apologies if I'm late to the scene but entering the silm fandom and learning about Manwe was such a delightful experience. The idea that this overpowered dude is so fucking nice and kind and has a never ending patience is so (⁠｡⁠♡⁠‿⁠♡⁠｡⁠). But surprisingly, when I still knew nothing of Manwe's character, I've seen Manwe (and the other Valar) be called either a tyrant, homophobic, awful and abusive and by no means I am policing takes and headcanons (and how people write them) but honestly it kinda warped how people see Manwe (me at first ngl) that it's normal to just write him in such a bad light. The whiplash I got when this 'awful' Valar wasn't actually awful and the real awful dude was Melkor is just—wow. Even though I shipped Manwe and Melkor, the fact that Melkor got more apologists and defense than Manwe is not surprising but still kinda bummer. Anyway, I love love love your defense posts about Manwe, I love it, I read it a lot. Don't know where I am going with this but um more love to you. ♡⁠(⁠Ӧ⁠ｖ⁠Ӧ⁠｡⁠)

The Valar have always been pretty polarising characters. Valar hate was way more prominent a few years back, but it's still around today. Manwë, especially, gets the brunt of it, probably because he's the leader of the Valar, and so every decision of theirs, good or bad, is tied back to him. Heavy is the head that wears the crown and all that.

I can see where a lot of Valar antipathy comes from, even when I don't agree with it, but I'll never understand characterising Manwë as a tyrant, because I don't think the text supports it, like, at all. If people enjoy that kind of characterisation, good for them, but I think it's dumb. And boring. (Especially coming from Melkor stans, lmfao. I love Melkor to death, but propping him up as Manwë's moral superior is hilarious.)
