Rings of Power Season 2, Episode 1 Thoughts

Random thoughts while watching, not a review.

Spoilers ahead.

The opening scenario feels like the writers read the section of Nature of Middle-earth about the rebellious eastern orcs who didn't want to follow Sauron after the fall of Morgoth. And then those writers thought, "WHAT IF….."

The scene in which Sauron is killed by Adar reminds me A LOT how angels and demons get killed in Supernatural.

I think Sauron's death would have caused the area to be incinerated by fire, not frozen by ice.

Not sure I like Sauron's shadow form. It looks disturbingly like licorice Twizzlers….

Sauron getting run over by a wagon… HAHAHAHA

So Sauron has to vampirize/cannibalize living beings to take a form after his form is destroyed. I can see going that route, but I suspect Tolkien may have had a different idea. I always wondered if Sauron's spirit possessed beings - either living ones or corpses - until he gained enough strength to assume a physical form. This might be why Tolkien wrote so much about houseless spirits and possession, including hints that Sauron and his followers knew about things like this, and encorporated it in their dark rituals.

I'm a little confused about geography and timing in the opening scenes. Where does Adar gank Sauron? The encounter with the old man seems to imply that this is somewhere in Mordor/RoP Southlands. Maybe it is the ice and snow that are throwing me off. Also, why isn't anyone talking about how unseasonably cold it is?

Galadriel trying to snatch the Three Rings from Elrond is rather weird. At first, I thought they were playing some sort of game on horseback. Galadriel and Elrond's relationship in this show is weird. They act like peers of the same age, rather than a younger elf and his elder/mother-in-law.

Galadriel: He is Sauron. Gil-Galad: [in Sindarin] Oh, fu……

Gil-Galad is SO through with Elrond and Galadriel's BS.

In Mordor, ya bow or ya bleed! WHERE THERE'S A WHIP, THERE'S A WAY!!!!! The beatings will continue until morale improves.

I thought it was implied in Season 1 that Adar realized that Halbrand was Sauron? Or maybe that was just a fan theory and not reality?

Nori and the Wizard remind me of a LOTRO questing duo. Poppy is the player who signed on later than the rest of the fellowship.

I'm wondering if this show is filled with intentional references to other LOTR-themed properties. Gil-Galad threatens to send Galadriel to the Ettemoors - the infamous PvP area of LOTRO. Galadriel says "Elrond Lives" - a reference, perhaps, to the phrase "Frodo Lives."

▪︎ REDESIGNING UBERCORN ☆

What if I made an Ubercorn design?? Well, imagine no more, because I just did!! When I redesign the characters, it's always to add more detail and flair, NEVER because I hate a design. Plus, the canon outfits are a little too plain for my art style. So here's what's hopefully the first post in my new redesign series, of Ubercorn!!

I stuck mostly to Ubercorn's 70s and 80s inspired disco look, giving his jumpsuit a bit of an upgrade, making it look a little bit less like a baby's onesie. The top half resembles the canon one a little, still being white with a star pattern, but I deviated from there with a purple star button, a deep neck with a popped collar, blue diamond patches on the arms, and Rainbow sleeve cuffs. The bottom half of the suit deviates a little more from the canon suit, but I encorporated the canon suit's blue into this part, creating a blue-to-teal glittery gradient that stands out amongst the Go Jetters' solid-colour suits. His pants also have the same Rainbow cuffs, creating a bit of unity in the look.

I also tried to encorperate some more modern aesthetics into the look, to account for Ubercorn's love of high technology. I replaced his goggles with a star-shaped visor, with a purple and red gradient which pays homage to his old goggles. Additionally, I decided to give him a protective hairstyle, as in flashbacks or photographs in the episodes, we see that Ubercorn has 4C hair !! I wanted to bring that into his modern look, while still keeping a similar energy to his original hairstyle, so I chose to give him braids, which he wears half put-up, and half down! His tail is also braided, to match ! He also has a little bit of a beard because I just think it looks nice. Don't question how it works if he's covered in fur. Shh. The rest of the design is pretty much the same, with his horn receiving a slight curve, his hooves staying shiny, and giving him some cheek fluff, and earrings. His eyes are a cyan-blue, as I headcanon that Unicorns and other antro horse species to have thevprinter-ink colours as their natural eye colour options. And that's the deep dive into my design !!! ♡♡♡

I really hope that you like my redesign, I'm very proud of it!! I love to create these redesigns, and would eventually like to do the whole cast in this style. This would mean also drawing the Funky Four; Xuli, Kyan, Lars and Foz, then Grandmaster Glitch (& the Grimbots!!) and Tala. I would also love to include my design for JetPad's holographic human form, as to include her in the main group too. If I wanted to further extend it, I could also do Professor Wave, Professor Nouveau, or Finn! I will have to see how I go for time, could take a couple months until I am actually free enough to do all of this, if any. If there's enough positive reception on this, I'll have to get to work sooner !!

As a bonus, I have also made a "Funky Fact File" version, which includes some of my headcanons for Ubercorn (plus some canon stuff!!), and a fun alternate layout. Thank you for reading through this whole post!! ♡♡

(G1) Frankie Stein's Dark Past

Her Grandfather:

Victor Frankenstein attended Monster High through a human exchange program before the school was finished being built.

He was an Orphan and desperately desired a family and in Freaky Fusion his first attempt at creating Frankie's parents is being shown. Despite using real human organs he has yet to figure out how to encorporate emotions into his creations to make them come to live.

Sometime after this likely just after graduating he decides to join a group of scientists on an expedition to Skull Shore with the unnamed scientist.

Time on Skull Shore

They befriend each other and she gets to know Andy Beast. The other scientists including Victor look for her and fear for her safety. After multiple days she's still missing but suddenly she turns up, looking weak. She was with Andy but caught a tropical disease. Andy tried everything to help her but he was simply not knowledgeable enough about humans to help so he brought her back to her group in hopes of them being able to cure her.

They try their best but she gets worse with each passing hour and eventually she dies.

A scream is heard from the Monster. He thinks they harmed her or didn't do enough to help her and starts charging at the group.

The scientists start running, leaving the corpse behind, but her best friend Victor turns around to bring her back to the boat.

Just like him the unnamed scientist was an orphan with no relatives to speak of which is why we don't even know her name.

They sail back during which time her body starts to decompose. Victor keeps it a secret from the crew because he worries that they'd discard her because of the risk of the disease spreading postmortem.

They swear to never speak of what happened on the island ever again which makes most people forget that it even existed...

Back home Victor preserves the body in hopes of being able to bring his best friend (or maybe he might see her as a little sister) back to life.

Frankie's Parents

After many trials and tribulations he creates the parents he always wished for Viktor (with a K this time!) and Viveka.

He goes off to another expedition overseas leaving his parents at home. Sadly though Victor does not return. Now lost at sea no body to be found.

So his makeshift parents grow somber and sorrowful, being created to be parents.

Frankie's "Birth"

After some time they decide to try to create a child of their own "Frankie Stein" and who better to use than someone who is already there and who Victor clearly cared about? The scientists corpse that Victor kept for all of those years. They fix her body up from and destruction, stitching holes and filling her with fresh organs and reanimating her by the screws in her neck.

Day by day she grows more and more curious about the world and since her parents heard about monster high. By now a fully finished school for monsters of all kind, they send her there.

The rest is history~

3. What fandoms do you write for? currently stranger things, but i've got star wars (prequels + rebels) w.i.p.s in the google docs that i'd still love to see the light of day

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos? steddie overtook my oldest fics, so most remarkable thing is my number one, with two other fics in the same universe behind it (frozen with joy and the world throws its light), followed by all the missing girls and brutalist masterpieces

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? i try to respond to all of them because i'm trying to be more outgoing in fandom spaces; i also feel very humbled + touched by the response to my steddie stories so i try to stay engaged there when i can

What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? i don't think anything is particularly angsty from stranger things -- i try to lean into optimism and hopeful endings when i can, even if something tragic happens with the story; so i would have to say the untitled companion kallus au out of rebels fandom, since part two ends on a bit of a downer.

(though various stories out of the eating in the underworld series probably qualify, especially when you're reading them chronologically...)

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? i like to think the whole of most remarkable thing, and other b-sides and rarities as the happiest, i would say? mainly because the idea of steve + eddie, alive in 2023 and thriving with their family, careers, and marriage is very dear to me.

she has kings fur, her hat looks so much like his tail, and his horns.

but this design is also so, SO her.

she has her azura hat! the color of her witches wool cloak is everywhere! but most of all, she has light glyphs EVERYWHERE. she has elements of her family, found and blood, but this design is so so luz. it feels like something she'd LOVE. I really love the idea that these powers manifested to reflect *her.* the titan didn't choose luz. luz chose the titan right at the start, and then she finally chose herself.

So, disclaimer-- I'm no King Arthur expert. Far from it, really. I plan to read more of those stories for research soon, but what I've come up with in this universe could make every single Arthurian fan shudder collectively in horror at how I'm abusing the source material. I'm absolutely positive someone will end up feeling that way about my fairy tale retellings at this point, honestly. So feel free to take my thoughts with a grain of salt, and know that I mean no insult to the original stories

(OH and just for the record, this is set in my fairy tale world! I decided King Arthur counts as a fairy tale, so I'm encorporating them into my series. Here's hoping I do it pretty well!)

Anyways! Sir Gareth's daughter is Risha Beaumains. She doesn't spend too much time in the court with her family, but prefers to sail the high seas with her best friend, Jack Archer, as his first mate. Yes, she is a pirate. No, her family doesn't not technically condone this, but they aren't really stopping her, either

She, along with her other best friend Alec, helped start Jack's crew back in the day. When they're hanging out, the three of them have exactly one brain cell between them, and it's anyone's guess who it belongs to at any given moment

I'm pretty excited about her as a character-- I feel like she has the potential to be the kind of character I love. I'm kinda picky about liking female characters a lot of the time, and some of the ones I love the most are ones that are just human, you know? (Elizabeth McCord is a perfect example of this in my mind) My goal is to do that with Risha. And also give her a good sense of humor because that's very important to me

I've only actually written her a little so far, but she's going to have a bigger role in the next book I'm gonna write! I'm looking forward to writing her and her future boyfriend best friend since childhood Alec, they have such a fun dynamic (in my head, anyways)

Movement Statement

For my response to movement, I looked at the flow and hindrance of the movement of people through traffic lights, signs and stoppages. The three disciplines I chose for this semester were graphic design, print and photography.

At first, my inital idea was to look at people's movement through dance and the flow of water. After a week and a half of trying to come up with ideas for this concept that were accessible to me, I changed my idea to the flow of people's movements and how they are hindered. The everyday hindrances to my flow in my life that I noticed were traffic lights, pedestrian crossings, stop signs and walls.

Photography: I completed my disciplines in 2 week blocks. For photography elective, I attended both studio and pinhole photography workshops. I really enjoyed making my own pinhole camera and developing my own photos. I photographed both myself and my friends. I captured many stills to convey the idea of having to stay in place because the lights of the traffic lights decide if you move or stay. My other shots captured movement during the time the camera took to expose the images. This was to show the coming and going of the flow of people. During the studio workshops, I was figuring out how to use the different settings on the cameras, so I didn't get as many shots relating to my project as I would of liked but I did experiment with the movement of light and compositions.

Print: For the 3rd and 4th week I practiced print making. I attended Suzannahs Relief and Intaglio workshop where we cut out our own stamps from lino and foam. I quite enjoyed this workshop and I went on to make some similar lino prints at home to continue on with this discipline. For print, I focused more on the movement of people rather than what stops them. Print wasn't a discipline which I found overly interesting so coming up with ideas for it proved a little difficult for me. I encorporated my home made lino cuts with some of the photos I developed during my pinhole photography workshop which I found to create a cool print.

Graphic Design: For the 5th and 6th week I focused on the graphic design elective. This was my favourite discipline so far. I attended all the workshops available in this elective including icon design, risograph, letterpress and type and image. I feel like I certainly learnt about the important and relevance of typography in this area of design which I practiced through my risograph. Through some of these workshops I was taught how to better use Adobe photoshop and illustrator. I feel like I practiced my skills of graphic design when completing the task of recreating an album cover for the type and image workshop. I think this recrestion turned out well and I am proud of it. I took a lot of inspiration from different graphic designers such as Paula Scher. Through these workshops I got a better understanding of the graphic design industry.

I was thinking this morning that if you had a voodoo doll made of yourself then you could stimulate it's genitals and you would get a wank that would feel like it was someone else…I really cannot stress how much I am looking forward to this sunny holiday in Greece because this shitty weather is starting to make my mind dissolve. Early this morning a package got stuck at the top of one of the chutes and I could see that the bottom of the package was wet so I called housekeeping to come and get it. When the guy arrived he glanced at the package as it sat at the very top of the chute and said "What's in it? Pop?". I wanted to say "I dunno dude I haven't gone up there and licked it to see what it is". A while back I tried to be less of a sarcastic piece of shit because I felt it was alienating me from my friends, potential friends and family but since I stopped I've found that it's started to attract even more idiots so I think I need to take it up again. Later on I got thinking about the Pokemon Hitmonchan, specifically whether or not in the Pokemon universe the sport of boxing arose out of observing this particular species. It can't have happened the other way around, the Pokemon creator God Arceus can't have seen a couple of boxers and thought "I'll encorporate that sport and it's gloves into the look of this Pokemon I'm going to create". The creator of boxing whoever that was, let's call him "Ian Boxing" must have seen two Hitmonchan sparring one day and decided he would get people to fight each other in this manner while wearing gotten gloves to replicate the look of a Hitmonchan's hands. Again, I can't stress enough: I really need this fucking holiday my mind has completely gone to shit. When I got home I played a few games with Luna and she suggested that as a punishment for losing the games I should have to drink a cup of tea out of the toilet which I refused to do because knowing her she would just flush the damn thing the second I stuck my head in so that my hair would get soaking. I know how that little pest's mind works by now. I'm really enjoying re-reading the second Lincoln Rhyme book The Coffin Dancer and I think I've settled on a design for the tattoo I want based on this series. For the first few books Lincoln Rhyme has a pair of peregrine falcons in a next on the windowsill of his office which he sees a constant source of comfort and calmness in his life. I think it would be nice to get a small tattoo of a few falcons in a next as an ode to this amazing series as long as people don't mistake it as a tribute to the Bo Selecta version of Craig David.

6) Do you outline your fics? If so, how?

Sometimes? If I'm planning for it to be multi-chaptered then yes, just because I have the tendency to start writing without a plan, and then plot stuff isn't as cohesive. I generally do it using bullet points for key scenes/general ideas, and then reference that when actually writing.

7) How do you edit your fics? What do you look for in your edits?

I use text-to-speech to listen for like grammar/syntax stuff, and also spelling errors. I also just re-read it like 7 million times. I'm generally looking for anything that disrupts the flow/reading experience :)

10) How do you feel about writing plot, setting/description, inner thoughts, dialogue?

Plot + Settings are my jam, I love to be descriptive about things. I find it really fun, and I generally like everything I write to have some sort of plot, even if it's simple. I enjoy inner thoughts/dialogue, but it's not my favourite because I never feel like I'm doing it right haha.

14) What is something you wrote in a fic that you are hoping readers picked up on but you don't know if they did? And/or, what is something that you were excited that readers did pick up on?

I tend to like... spell thing's out in fics? I want people to understand where I'm coming from. Maybe Smajor's abandoment issues that are present in like... all of his characters? I've referenced it once or twice, and a few people picked up on it which I appreciated :)

21) Writers choice - pick any of these questions that you want to answer. -> 15) If you could only write one type of fic (angst, fluff, etc.) for the rest of your life what would it be?

100% hurt/comfort! It encorporates both angst and fluff, and it's not hard to see that it's most of what I write. I love the comfort part, specifically, for a character to be hugged and told their okay and believe it is one my favourite things to write :)

My Biggest Inspirations

It's impossible to create your own art without first being inspired by someone else's. And often times, artists' work is deprived of many different inspirations, all mixed together into one unique style.

Throughout the years, I have been inspired by many artists ranging from famous artists that painted during the 1700s-1800s to artists that I follow on social media.

I think it's interesting to look at my sources of inspiration and see how they appear in my own art. So, I'll be going over a few notable artists that have influenced my art throughout the years.

Alphonse Mucha

Alphonse was a famous Czech artist during the art nouveau movement. It was rare to see artists that combined a realistic, soft painting style with harsh lines during this time period, so his art stood out to me immediately.

The black lines contrast the soft shading of the skin and hair, and I think it looks really amazing. Something you may note is how outline of the figures are much thicker and darker than the smaller details (compare the lines around the hair vs the lines on the accessories). This brilliant use of line weight makes for a great composition, and it's something I have tried to encorporate into my art as well.

82pigeon

Pigeon is an artist from Korea. I found their art on Pinterest, and I immediatelly followed them on here as well as on Twitter. They are a MASTER at shading, and it's not surprisingly that they even teach their own art classes. Pigeon has been a huge inspiration to me for a few years, and their ability to render clothing, light, hair, etc. is breathtaking.

Yoshitoshi ABe

Yoshitoshi ABe is a Japanese artist, most commonly known as the illustrator for the anime Serial Experiments Lain. He has a distinct style that gives off a somewhat eerie yet nostalgic vibe.

One thing I especially love about his art is the colours. There's a lot of green, blue and yellows used to give off this otherworldly feel. There's just something about early 2000's anime art that feels so nostalgic. I love this type of colouring, and I often incorporate it into my own art a lot.

Conclusion

Obviously these aren't the only artists that have inspired me, there are plenty more. Perhaps I'll make a follow up post. Anyways, definitely check these artists out, they're all fantastic and amazingly talented!

personal, monologue, art, ramble, speech. New years dedicated post (not really but inspired)

It’s New year, and although I don’t feel celebratory or cheerful in any way this year, I thought that dragging negativity throughout would not do any good for any one, including those who see my actions and read posts on tumblr. 

I’m in no way a great artist nor professional, and objectively my art is not neat nor perfect but I realized when looking at it, how crazy it is that. My 10 year old self would probably save my 24 old self’s drawings on their phone to later look at it, or stare at it and say how cool it is, and perhaps would even try to replicate the “artstyle”. 

I look at my current drawings and think “meh” or “crooked and deeply flawed but I dont care” but I looked at my drawing and thought that my child self would think I am an artist they “could never dream of becoming like” . It’s two conflicting facts. It’s ironic realizing your younger self would be unfathomably blown away by the current you even though you don’t feel anything great in your current self. My younger self feels like a separate person in that scenario but I know they would be impressed because I  well.. it was me.

I guess never hoping to become an artist spared me from the disappointment of not becoming the way I would have probably expected to become (if I had planned to become a professional artist I would have been crying over my drawings), so I am okay with just scribbling things that will mostly just satisfy me the way I am right now. I never hoped nor planned, but I have been posting drawings anyway, just because I wanted to, and just because I thought my ideas were sweet, and no napoleon ideas. And there were people who liked those drawings. Thoughout all those years it was a lot of people actually.

I do feel that I was not grateful enough toward everyone who was nice to me and toward what I posted. I had a lot of people who followed me for my drawings in past. Not sure why, since I was an amateur with unprofessional drawings but I understood that throwing around how much I dont understand other’s kindness and appreciation is like being dismissive to their care and feelings. I do also feel that I am privileged in a way for being able to draw, because I realized that many people do not do it, not because they dont care or dont want to but because they dont have the luxury to. Yet those people took their time to come forward and say they liked my stuff. I never fully realized that adulthood and jobs (and home environment) can take away your entire life and not let you even have time for what you love, so I admit that the people around me on here i have not appreciated enough.

Post Scriptum: There is a possibility that I may have encorporated style and lines I saw in drawings I saw as a child due to cryptomnesia. 

“Cryptomnesia occurs when a forgotten memory returns without its being recognized as such by the subject, who believes it is something new and original.”

In this life of this OP’s, there has been many things going on but what stayed always true, was that people in my life were welcoming and nice to my drawings. There is not much I can do (and I wont fight anyone who may say I am selfish) but the least I can do is say Thank you. The ones in past wont hear it, but at least the ones here can.

No matter how much I tried to deny, hide or alter that fact, it still remained fact, that people saw things in my drawings and said that my drawings were good and made people feel things. My feelings say that it is kind of, too kind and perhaps not entirely true, but my feelings could not define what others said. I do believe it was because I was lucky to have encountered people who believed in my drawings and I dont know how long this luck will carry on, but its part of history now, one i cannot erase.

I may be a bad person. I may be a cruel person. I may be actually not a good artist. But I was approached with kindness by persons who were open-minded and tolerant, nice toward what I scribbled or slapped on that digital canvas. I don’t want to deny people and their good intentions and what they did for me. I know this post was about me and my feelings, but it was about them as well.

I wish their year will go nicely on them and give them the same sweetness and love they gave to any nonsense I drew and showed them.

Final Outcome

My final outcome is made up of a large weave sample, 2 drawings, and three other samples, one sublimation, one disperse and one embroidery. Despite the fact my board isn’t particularly cohesive, I did include everything on there for a reason, which I am going to explain below.

The large, busy, weave sample I created in attempt to serve as a summary of my favourite, most important things I had discovered throughout the project. Firstly, the general use of materials that otherwise would’ve been thrown away; the bubble wrap, carrier bags, pages from old magazines and scrap pieces of fabric, I used to show the importance of sustainability within my project. Not only this, but my choice of materials was also inspired by Daniel Lismore, because the first sample I created using inspiration from his sculptures I think was really effective. To show further this piece is inspired I didn’t cut the loose pieces of material either side of the weave, because it gives the sample an almost 3D “sculptural” aesthetic. Secondly , towards the top of the sample I included quite a thick strip of bubble wrap that has a wavy piece of thick thread pulled over it. I added this to represent the importance of sound in concerts, and to show how much I enjoyed the mark making and sample making in which I allowed the beat of the music to control my hands. The third thing I included was the use of different coloured cellophanes layered and twisted with other materials; which I included to represent the intricacy of light shows at concerts, in which the different spotlights are combined and “layered” meticulously to create beautiful visuals. This is shown through my samples by the way the strips of fabric appear differently under the cellophane. I also tried to encorporate as many shiny, bright and bold materials as possible, to reflect the electric style of Owyoung that I explored earlier on in the project. I think its a really key element of the visual aspect of concerts. And finally, I believe the colour theory has been an important useful tool that has inspired lots of my samples, so I’ve also incorporated it into this sample. As you can see the bottom sections are themed by colours orange and blue, which as I discovered earlier on aids the creation of an electric look. I’ve also placed the green and red themed sections next to each other, as the contrast they create by being at opposite ends of the colour wheel makes both sections pop.

Two of the samples on the board are very similar; one is a very early mark making I produced and the other is a sample inspired by this. I chose to include both firstly because it makes the board slightly more cohesive and I like the symmetry element it adds, but also because as I explained earlier in my blog, I think the body language shown conveys devotion, which was something important I explored.

The sample composed of 2 tartan style fabrics I included firstly to give embroidery some representation on the board, but I think this sample perfectly demonstrates enjoyment in the crowd at an concert in an abstracted way.

The sample in the centre was an attempt to show the importance of set designs at concerts, which I tried to achieve by putting the artist in a block colour, to draw attention to the completely realistic background.

The final part of my board which is the fashion illustration in the top right, I included to give a brief insight into some of my favourite samples in my sketchbook, and to show case some of the processes I’ve learnt.

i wasn't expecting to see the return of so many swf crews, but i should not have been surprised bc i think they need someone to save the show's tanking popularity. mostly the matchups are pretty good, except for prowdmon that was a fucking WASTE of their skills holy shit. just jerk, eoddae, and ygx's are my faves! just jerk as always does an excellent job with the choreo but also incorporating the guest dancers' style into that choreo. the clockwork horror theme + very percussive music also suited both their styles really well, all in all just a very slick and well made package.

LOVE eoddae's intro with vogue (the song) and the picture frames!! really great and simple way to set up and image and it tells you what you're gonna get immediately. obvs both were the same/very compatible styles so there was no surprises there.

i actually liked wdbz's, but i think that's because it feels WAY more like a hook choreography than one of their own. it has a lot of the hallmarks of a hook choreo; there's a lot of big flashy formations that look very cool, but it still has the feel of looking at a series of images rather than a whole flowing choreo. granted i think that problem is much more minute and this is probably one of hook's best performances on the show(s), but also there's no real reason why it HAD to be wdbz, yanno? like as a crew they don't have a ton of character, and you could have swapped in bank 2 brothers ygx or even 1million here and it wouldn't have mattered much to the end product at all. i guess in a way that means they were successful in showcasing their guest dancers' style, but....eh. it doesn't feel as much like a collaboration as just jerk's or eoddae's.

1million had the toughest challenge of everyone lol, it's surprisingly hard to integrate latin into street dance styles bc it's predominantly partnered, and street styles are not. the only time i've seen it work semi-successfully is with waacking, which 1million did encorporate a little bit of. i think it was a great choice to use iron in the beginning bc it has a lot of heavy percussive elements that work great for syncing rhythms to, and i think they did a great job overall, given the difficultly of the task. i think they were probably one of the better choices for taking up this challenge in the first place so i'm glad that these guest dancers picked them.

bank 2 brothers...............prowdmon why. how could you do this to me. like i can sort of see some of their influence in having the concept be very literal and tied to the song + an unusual choice of song, but i just.....don't think b2b are at their level. imo they're the weakest crew on the show now and they don't have the same 1) skill level and 2) clarity of intention with choreo to match up with prowdmon and make this an equal collab.

i also did lke ygx's choreo as well, it's solid hiphop, and probably bc it was filmed by someone who was not mnet. i'm assuming it wasn't bc they were eliminated?
