hey i get that you probably have your reasons for using 'afab' instead of 'woman' or something similar in your retail/sex shop/mattress store anecdote, but i wanted to point out people cannot tell assigned sex at birth by looking. many trans women also experience sexual harassment like what you describe even when people clock them. so im not sure 'afab' even covers what you were talking about fully.

So for some reason I got lost in the Elucien side of tik tok and, of course, they are convinced they are endgame. They are the ones who think Elain avoids Lucien because she’s trying to suppress her attraction to him and what not, but I just think that’s silly. Even though I agree with them about how we don’t know what’s going on in her head, I just find that theory ridiculous, especially when you look at the overall text that surrounds Elain and Lucien.

I am an Elriel supporter and have been since 2017, but I always have that “what if” in the back of my mind because we all know Sarah can just completely forget about what she’s written and do something totally different. My biggest fear is that I won’t ever accept Lucien. Like, I only really support him when I read those tiny moments when he’s talking about or with Vassa, because I can see that. But I’m scared I won’t ever accept Lucien or Elucien because of what we know.

I’ve never truly connected with Lucien. I always saw him as the annoying one. I never could understand why everyone finds him attractive or charming. I moved on quickly when we learned about his history, it didn’t really affect me. He’s just annoying to me. And I know he’s not a bad guy, like I don’t hate him. I just don’t care for him. I literally forgot all about his character in acomaf until he showed up again to kidnap Feyre, and I was totally dumbfounded when he said Elain was his mate. It was the most random thing to me. I remember reading that part 3 times because I thought I was crazy. And I was so so happy when he volunteered to go search for Vassa because that meant he was going to be gone for a while in acowar, and then I forgot about him again unless he was brought up. He’s just a very forgettable character to me and it’s going to take a lot for my opinion to change. Like I honestly hate that someone like Elain got mated to someone like him. It’s the most random thing.

Like 3 brothers x 3 sisters just makes so much sense to me and it’s so perfectly even and symmetrical. 2 brothers x 2 sisters, 1 sister x random guy, 1 brother x random girl just doesn’t make sense at all.

I don’t think I could enjoy the series anymore if Sarah has planned for Elucien and gwynriel all this time because why spend all that time building up Elriel? And I’m sorry, but people who say that they didn’t see Elriel moments as romantic clearly didn’t read them. I know we interpret things differently, but y’all are just delusional if you can’t see that.

I’ll go ahead and say it. The main reason I support vassien is because it gives Lucien a happy ending while elain is free to love who she wants and not who she is told to by the cauldron or whatever. I hate that she is being forced to make a decision that she should never have to make. And it’s not like we don’t have a reason to support vassien, there are some cute little moments between Vassa and Lucien. But even, with a vassien pov, I don’t think I would enjoy Lucien’s part. Another thing, I could totally see him dying. I’ve always thought he would seeing how he was becoming feyre’s friend and what not. That usually happens to that type of character in fantasy stories.

Who knows, though 🤷🏻‍♀️. I’m just over all these things with the fandom here lately. From the doxx threats, forcing artists to quit creating art for us because of the hate they receive, the teasing from Bloomsbury, and this stupid ship war, I’m just mentally exhausted from it.

i’ve got two zhongli origin theories

1. he’s a fallen star or a piece of the sun that fell in teyvat or a sun god/solar chariot

2. hes a servant of celestia but was banished/demoted for disobedience

theory 1 is an old theory but i always feel he’s an astral body of some sorts “planet befall” is his burst name “stars dim light fades” is his namecard description “gold is the tears of the sun” this is what the melusines say after being handed a piece of cor lapis the fact the solar chariot crashed when rex lapis was young and then zhongli is always symbolized by the sun with gold as his signature item. All the other archons (ei, rukkha, nahida, furina etc) are represented by the moon as are many other deities or divinities (azhdaha, guizhong, xiao and ganyu) zhongli is one of the few immortals to fully embody the sun

theory 2 has more to do with his connections to celestia. while super subject to change and not at all reliable i always think about one of zhongli’s beta lines is about celestia and he speaks very fondly of it stating he hasn’t been there is a long time next is the mora he produces with the triquetra symbol associated with celestia

then in chinese it states zhongli was demoted 6000 years ago when he arrived in teyvat as opposed to the eng version of ‘descended’.

In his 5th character story prior to rukkha getting erased it stated that barbatos and morax were the only original members of the seven and now it states that they were the only two in positions of leadership but isn’t that the same thing? not to mention barbatos fell asleep the same time nahida was born so in reality of the original 7 only rex lapis was in a position of leadership and then in the same text later down it still says that “The seven seats changed and again were changed, till five of the seven at the table were all departed” but if he really forgot rukkha shouldn’t it be four not five? this section of text is the same pre and post sumeru so long story short i think he remembers rukkha to some extent so he didn’t come straight from tevyat

and then even though he states he’s eroding he is very confident in his memories likely due to his contracts so i think erosion effects him differently and then their is his connection to the heavenly principles he specifically states erosion was imposed on him by them and then he praises furina for deceiving them and then there is his contract with them that stops him from talking about the cataclysm all in all i believe he’s familiar with the heavenly principles on a deeper level like he’s playing both sides

bonus: i think it’s neat zhongli is always associated with life and creation much like celestia (and the sun), he gave azhdaha eyes and created the archaic petra flower he created whales and eagles and beasts made of stone granted the adepti illumination and a mastery over alchemy

bonus bonus: morax was alive during the age of the 3 moon sisters and there are few stories were it’s implied he mentions them directly anyway this just means he’s far older than 6000 and has lived through numerous tevyat societies so he’s got a very long lifespan not as much as an elemental being but he knows far more about this world

bonus bonus bonus: zhongli’s 6th constellation is “Chrysos, Bounty of Dominator”. Chrysos is latin but is borrowed from ancient greek meaning Gold (Khrysos). Khrysos is a daimon which are lesser divinities in greek mythology and often a personification of abstract concepts. Daimons were great and powerful figures who after their death were granted divinity and some were transformed by Zeus to guide humanity. Khrysos is son of Zeus and the personification of gold and wealth ‘that cannot be devoured by moth or rust’. Son of Zeus? Free of impurities? Tasked with guiding humanity? Very similar to the relationship to the archons and celestia and could mean zhongli has very divine origins.

anyway that’s what i got, as to what he *is* maybe he’s a celestial dragon that got demoted.

or i think about heavenly chinese immortals who, when they commit crimes, or want to grow as a person, may be sent to the human realm to go through trials and suffering that comes with living and guess what zhongli does in his free time.

Sicktember 23 - Alt 3, Pounding Headache

Thief squirmed in their chair. They were tied up, but they were scarcely aware of it. All that mattered in the world was the throbbing pain in their forehead. They would have given up a lot to be able to rub it, even if that would have done nothing.

“Is it possible to remove that light ?” they whispered, closing tightly their eyes.

Villain gave them a cold stare. Without a word, they slowly pushed a button on the lamp, increasing the brightness as much as they could. Thief grimaced. They heard their heart pound inside their temples.

“First, explain why you failed to get the files I asked for.”

‘I didn't fail !” they protested weakly. “I took everything there was in the safe. It’s not my fault it wasn’t at the place you’ve told me to steal.”

“I wonder,” whispered Villain. “Unless someone was warned before you stole anything. I have to admit, you’re much too close to Hero than I’m comfortable with.”

“Close ? They always send me to prison !”

“You always escape. And they never hurt you.”

“Well, they’re a hero. I don’t think they’re going to punch you if you don’t begin first.”

“So why was the safe empty ?”

Villain had suddenly raised their voice. Thief moaned in protest.

“I don’t know !” they squeaked.

“Well,” grunted Villain, “now my plans are canceled, I can be patient. You’ll stay tied up until you spit out the truth. I have no indulgence for traitors.”

Thief just hummed in answer. It was harder and harder to focus on the conversation. They let themself slump into the chair, leaning their head back to try to relieve the pain. Villain hit the table with their fist, which made them start.

“Dammit, what’s wrong with you ? You should pay a little more attention when I’m threatening you! Do you understand your position?”

“Yep. Sitting in a chair.”

They didn’t even mean to be sarcastic; they were half-conscious by now and were just babbling words. Villain took it very personally, though. Their gloved hand slapped Thief on the face, but they barely felt it. It was nearly a welcome distraction from the other ache. Villain grabbed their chin and demanded once more:

“What’s wrong with you ?”

“Migraine.”

“Really.”

Villain let go. Thief heard them stepping away, then there was a click. One second after a radio burst into song. Thief gritted their teeth.

“Petty jerk,” they mumbled.

It was like someone had set fire inside their head now. Maybe they screamed a little - bubbles of light exploded behind their lids – there were shouting and loud noises everywhere - and they passed out.

It was not for long, though. The first thing they were conscious of was the silence. Blissful, merciful silence. Something – someone – was tugging gently at their wrists. They dared to take a look. The lamp was switched off. Inside the barely lit room, they could see bodies laid down everywhere. Villain themself was on the floor, unconscious.

Well, that took a turn.

With a definitive snap, their hands were cut free. They tried to push themself back up, but their skull was too heavy, their limbs too weak. They blinked and watched Hero becoming visible again, without moving an inch.

“That’s really weird to see you still like that,” the latter said, keeping their voice low. “It’s because of Villain?”

“Nah, it just happens sometimes. You were there all along ?”

“Yep. I’ve followed you.”

“I’m going back to prison, then.”

“I don’t think I’m going to bother with you this time. After all, you’ve just stolen worthless sheets of paper under coercion. I don’t think that counts.”

“They’ve turned against me so fast.”

“Color me surprised. I’ve already told you to stay away from them. But I’ll have all the time in the world to lecture you...”

They gently lifted Thief up, laid them down on a couch, and unfolded their scarf on their closed eyes to keep them from the light.

“...Later.”
