top ten reasons why you should vote for the ramshackle trio in the @obscure-skirmish showdown
sponsored by my huuge special interest and infodumping tendencies
pls read it i put a lotta effort and time into it 👉👈 (but ig the tl;dr is im incredibly autistic abt zeddy and her work and i really want them to win)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
first off, who are these guys? skipp (the blonde-ish happy one), stone (the skrunkly emo boi), and vinnie (the pirate gremlin) are three hobos who do whatever they can to survive on the streets. pickpocketing, other kinds of theivery, murder, and general mischief. anything goes! the world theyre in is old-timey (@zeddyzi, the creator, has described it as walking into an antique shop). it was originally a comic on webtoon/tumblr, and now its getting an animated pilot sometimes! isnt that cool!?
so, do you like hobo children? the found family trope? little guys? amazing, unique art? funny characters? ramshackle has all of that and more!! so much more!
onto the actual list :3
reason #1: the comedy. ive already said this but lemme elaborate on it a bit more here. if you like comedy w heart, ramshackle might be the thing for you. the trio is just some dummies (endearing) doing dumb things together and they love each other and just waahhhh look at themm
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
reason #2: the art. just,
Tumblr media Tumblr media
look
Tumblr media
at it. zeddy mostly uses what i like to call a dirt color pallete. im just using more colorful examples bc i can. fun fact, my art style is heavily influenced by hers, and she also inspired me to draw a lot more. you should vote for that right?
reason #3: im really autistic abt ramshackle 🥺 and, and if you dont vote for it 🥺🥺youre being ableist🥺🥺🥺 /j (obviously vote for who you want to lmoo)
reason #4: uhh, i think im talking abt zeddy more than the actual ramshackle trio, so ehm, skipp! a happy-go-lucky air mandolin-playing apple enjoyer
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
he eats apples whole, core and all :0 also since he has no money he plays the air mandolin (and keep in mind this isnt rlly recent info so maybe its not canon anymore hehe, i dont rly see timestamps on posts). hes so dumb and sweet, youd vote for him right?
reason #5: stone. where do i start? hes a sopping wet pathetic emo whos addicted to monster energy, ciggies, and the weird goo leaking outta the old shack downtown (ok that one may not be... confirmed. yet). he also somehow has most of the fandom simping for him
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
reason #6: vinnie! the money gremlin! whos also vaguely pirate themed! and may or may not have stabbed someone in the dick (theres a post abt this but i cannot find it 😭)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
if you dont vote for her, she might stab *you* in the dick. just sayin.
fuck. reason #7: i put a lot of effort into this propaganda post
🥺👉👈
reason #8: do you honestly need any more reasons for that? i just feel like if this much propaganda wont sway you, nothing will
reason #9: are any of these technically reasons? or just me seeing an opportunity to infodump abt my favorite thing and swooping in?
reason #10:
Tumblr media
please.

The Stormlight Archive Volume 1: The Way of Kings’ Review: Chapters 5-8
Tumblr media
link to contents page - https://at.tumblr.com/the-vibes-are-off/hey-hey/96xd9ohihrzs
Right, well, you know how I said in my previous post that my COVID test was negative? Yeah so I was swiftly clowned and I am now SICK right on essay season. I have dug out crusty dusty old HP Pavilion to do work but I’m essentially only using it for Tumblr so. My partner is officially in another country now (I know you’re going to read this so pls come back I am dying) so I cant even be babied 24/7 due to the time difference. On season 4 of Criminal Minds already tho so ....
In terms of reading, I am officially back and LOVING it. I am limiting myself to 4 chapters in one setting because that’s how much I want my review sections to cover and writing this takes longer than I thought it would tbh. Lets get to it!
Spoiler Free Zone:
The split narrative is like definitely managing my problems with maintaining my attention. I will say that since Kaladin’s story line, although definitely interesting don’t get me wrong, would probably get boring if it was all I was reading. I’m more a magic and lore and pretty women fantasy enjoyer than a grr fight fantasy enjoyer since my like gritty lit enjoyment comes from different genres.
Loving the direction that Shallan’s plot line is going in, I’m glad Brandon doesn’t just give the characters what they want straight away and there is at least the illusion that they’re working for something even though its obvious they’ll achieve it eventually.
Mostly, I’m just loving the characters they’re introducing in Shallan’s story, maybe not so much SOME people (a certain person specifically I dislike is beginning, BEGINNING to grow on me) as they’re just so lovely and cute and nice and ugh we love to see it.
*** SPOILERS INCOMING ***
Spoiler Zone:
I’m saying it now, I did initially think Jasnah was just a bitch tbh like I get she’s all important and up her own ass or whatever but she doesn’t appreciate art??? I get Shallan like couldnt just get what she wanted but like .... come on. I was so mad when she just started shouting n shit when Shallan was waiting in the alcove like get a grip pls. However.... turning a boulder to smoke? I had to tab that as cool, like that was just a smart idea to clear it and a cool fckn power to have
Shallan wanting to steal tho? I love her, a true icon as she should steal from the bitch. I literally just tabbed it love this bc ? Slay like what else could I do. I’d steal it too
aaaaaaaaand then were back to Kaladin actually just getting fucking shit on at every turn yet again. mf has to carry a bridge?? and then get shot at with arrows?? my goodness give this man a break
The spren getting a name tho like Syl is acc like carrying Kaladin’s arc for me I want to know what is going on there I am trying so hard not to spoil it for myself
From an arts and humanities student standpoint, I did tab Shallan describing how she views her art and the process of creation as like fleshy and human. Like in both studying and writing poetry I relate to capturing a person or a place or a moment on paper
And then 2 cuties that I simply had to draw attention to in Brother Kabsal and Yalb. They are iconic and I adore them the end :*
Tab Count:
Cute: 2
Fights: 1
Sad: 1
Death: 0
Cool: 0
Wtf wow: 1
Wtf why: 0
Slay Quotes: 0
Love this: 2
Hate this: 0
Tab Total:
Cute: 3
Fights: 4
Sad: 1
Death: 2
Cool: 4
Wtf wow: 2
Wtf why: 1
Slay Quotes: 3
Love this: 5
Hate this: 1
PS: If anyone actually reads this far down comment (or post me if you’re feeling generous) your fave tea to drink when you’re sick because I’m going through maybe 10 cups a day and I am swiftly running out....

get to know better tag
thank you @achilleslikespeas!! you're so so amazing omg- anyhoo
three ships: wolfstar, ineffable husbands (someone pls talk to me about good omens I literally can NOT rn), drarry
first ship: drarry, it’s a tried and true ship for me, ive been shipping it since I was like, a child  (literally flashback to me at like, 7 years old telling my mom that harry and Draco should get over each other and buy a castle and live together forever as a happy couple (parents were not happy that their daughter was saying this (they were homophobic( (im now gay and still shipping it so suck it, ig)))
last song: I would love to lie and say its something cool like “killer queen” or “lady stardust” bc I listen to those a lot, but once again, I would be lying and my actual last song that I listened to was “no hands (ft. Roscoe dash and wale)”, yk, the frat party song, I like to play it while writing angst
last movie: Harry Potter? idk what one, I like to put the tv on while I do stuff like budget money and write fanfic and draw, so honestly idk, it was probably the chamber of secrets, that and poa are my all time favs
currently reading: ur mom LMAO (im so sorry) no, what im reading is smut, and also like, a good omens fic about Crowley’s fall (witness the fall) bc im trying to forget about season 2′s ending. im also reading away childish things (again) bc like, that's one of my fav drarry fics of all time. if we’re talking about marauders fics, it was probably her body is a temple down in the frozen food aisle  by achilleslikespeas, both for my emotional masochistic enjoyment and bc I wanted to draw a scene in the story (go read it now pls, its really good, Claude is really good a writing and im freaking out bc I wanna draw a scene from every single one of their fics I- like go-to horror dead dove fics for me I reccomend Claude and for smut I go to moonie), if we’re talking books books, Ive been reading yellowface and I am a cat which so far, are really really good, but also like, im really bad at reading so like, I haven't actually touched them in a week LMAO
currently watching: good omens, its playing on my tv in the background both because I love it and also because Neil said if u stream it enough amazon will see how valuable it is (with the strike and everything) and like, actually be willing to negotiate, essentially, help out the strike, go watch gay celestial beings
last thing i wrote: 'Til Death Do Us Part, and Even Then, I'll Do My Best to Stay With You, its a dead dove fic centering around grief and denial, uh, 2 chapters in lol
currently writing: I have like, a million wips and no motivation to write rn so lets dive into them lol
1) chapter 3 of do death do us part, very sad, like, maybe 3 sentences in?
2) the next part of my lesbian wolf star series, its the one right before the trail one, so like, part 10 is gonna be another chapter centering more around Sirius’s memories and part 11 is gonna be the trial, I have like, 2 separate things ive written for it and I need to decide where I want it to go tbh
3) smut, gay wolf star, frat hazing blow or blow smut. sirius is on his knees and almost throws up but he doesn't and its lowkey like actually non con but its also frat hazing, like, idk how to explain the vibes but sirius is referred to as a dog and a filthy animal and degraded and he's sucking remus’s dick on coke and im like 2k words in and like, running out of ways to describe a cock lol (its also hard to bc like, I don't have a dick and my textbooks are no help sometimes) but he is also called the “pike puppy” and like, I think im smart for that and also its really filthy ngl, not a happy ending?
4) a short fluff fic to make up for the angst I put my readers through, im like 200 words in
5) au kinda thing, inspired by don't worry darling and like a TikTok that I saw (and now people are commenting on me commenting if I can write the idea and asking for the fic name and like, Im 500 words in? pls I need time), the idea is that Dumbledore has everyone under imperio or a potion to get them on his side to fight for him, lily’s pov, I really like it so far, uhh im like 500 words in I think?
so yeah, when I get inspiration im gonna write everything all at once lol, probably when my body isn't trying to kill me lmao or im at work

i have an idea for an ok ko animatic that i rly want to do but idk if itd be worth it because
a) all my animatics so far have been memes and the longest one ive done was 15 secs long. the idea i have would probably be at least a full minute and def more serious so itd take a while
b) i think the fandoms dying and i dont want to spends weeks on something two people will see
so anyway if anyones interested in a kinda angsty animatic about that one scene where boxman leaves bc shadowy venomous took over pls interact with this post in some way. id probably settle for like 10 notes (maybe less). just so i know people would watch it. and if anyone wants a dm when its done lmk

no thoughts just boxman finding out that raymond has a crush on rad and ray expecting him to freak out bc rads a hero (obviously worried bc he told shannon he would discontinue her if he found out in rad likes robots) not knowing that boxman was secretly dating venomous when he was still laserblast. like father like son

power grab - k. yeosang 18+
Tumblr media
day 29 of kinktober: soft dom - kang yeosang warnings: explicit smut, unprotected sex, soft sex, fingering, praise, sir kink, clit kissing, oral sex: f, creampie, multiple orgasms, overstimulation, cum eating, soft dom yeosang wc: 1.2k genre: pwp, smut, 18+
“Come on, baby, you can take another one,” Yeosang coos, lips pressing to the inside of your thigh as gently as possible. The touch sets you alight with pleasure, and your previous two orgasms have every nerve ending on edge as he pumps two fingers in and out of your sopping cunt. A dry sob leaves your lips, and his fingers curl until they brush over your g-spot. You close your fingers around his wrist, moving as though you’re going to pull him away, but you don’t truly want to do that. “Be a good girl for sir, princess. You want to do that, don’t you?”
“I w-wanna be your good g-girl, yes,” you huff. A bead of sweat trickles down the side of your face, catching on your hairline and disappearing into the already damp strands.
“Then you’ll take another, won’t you?” Yeosang kisses a path up to your cunt and fans hot breath over your sensitive skin. When you fail to answer right away, he presses down to leave a kiss directly over your clit, brushing the sensitive bundle of nerves with his lip. A shockwave shoots through you, and you jerk at the slight touch. A pathetic whimper slips from your mouth. Yeosang hums when he hears it, tongue poking out to caress your clit again.
“I want… Yeo, baby, please I–” you can’t finish the thought, and your voice dies in your throat. Yeosang continues to lap over your cunt like a starved man. You barely notice when he pushes a third finger into your slick walls, too overrun with pleasure to pay attention to small details like that.
“What do you want, love? Tell me, and I’ll give it to you. You’ve been such a good girl so far. It’s the least you deserve,” Yeosang whispers into your folds. His voice is too quiet to cause any serious vibrations through your body, but it’s enough to have your muscles quivering under his hold on you. “Just say the word…” You push back against the mattress, body flushing with embarrassment as Yeosang tries to draw the demands out of you. His ministrations between your legs come to a halt. You’re so desperate for that touch to persist that that is all it takes for him to pull the begging from your lips.
“Pl-Please, sir, I need – need your cock in me, please. I need it so so badly. W-Want you to fill me up and fuck me full of cum. I’ll do – I’ll do anything for it, sir.” You squirm under Yeosang in attempts to wiggle your way closer to his body, but he locks a hand around your thighs and keeps you firmly in place.
“You sound so pretty and adorable when you beg, lovely. Makes me want to wreck you and leave you a blubbering mess, but… we can save that for another day. I want you to feel good now, give a reward for being so good for me.” A sigh of relief passes through you as Yeosang pulls upwards, sliding up your body until he comes face to face with you. You greet him with a hasty kiss and slot your lips against his, arms folding around his neck and dragging him down to you without any hesitation. Yeosang lets you get away with the bold action and kisses you back with equal fervor. His tongue slips between your lips, and he’s quick to explore your wet and warm cavern, releasing a minuscule groan as you intertwine your tongue with his.
He takes your moment of distraction to drag his cock through your folds, and you would gasp if not otherwise preoccupied. Instead, your hips buck upwards, dragging over his member with the movements. Yeosang hisses into your mouth, and his tongue where it is so that he can align with your fluttering hole. He buries himself in you in one quick thrust. Your walls stretch to greet him, taking him deeper and deeper with every inch he thrusts into you, and you release a wanton moan. He swallows the sound greedily, and you let your body go slack under his weight. After a few seconds in that position, Yeosang pulls away to let you both catch your breath, then his mouth moves to your jaw, peppering it with soft kisses and lapping at the sweat-slick under his tongue.
“I’m r-ready, sir,” you pant against the shell of his ear. Yeosang’s hips jerk at the sound of your neediness, and he tries to keep himself under control as you continue to release moans and whimpers. He builds up a steady pace while fucking into you with barely contained restraint. The pleasure is immeasurable; you aren’t sure you’ve ever felt this good during sex in your life, but Yeosang keeps thrusting without relent. You gasp into his ear with each drag of his cock, quickly losing your mind to the intense pleasure overtaking your body. You want to speak, to say something – anything – but your mind draws a blank every time you try to think of what to say. Thus, you just let yourself drift away in the euphoria. It’s an enjoyable ride in the very least, and you don’t know how much time has passed by the time you feel another orgasm ready to breach the dam. You open your mouth to warn Yeosang of what’s about to happen, only for him to cut you short and press hot lips over you before you get the chance to speak.
He kisses you through the orgasm, and your mind might actually go completely blank in the heat of the moment. He must reach his own high at the same time because you can feel his cock cease the dragging thrusts. Warmth blossoms throughout your gut. You could practically squeal into his mouth, but you hold that back for now and decide to just bask in the sensation of being full of nothing but him. He’s all you can feel, all you can smell, all you can hear, and when you blink your eyes over after the orgasm passes, he is all that you can see. He seems to be having similar thoughts based on the softness in his gaze as he looks down at you with nothing but love and affection.
“You did so well, baby,” he murmurs, bringing up a hand to brush over the side of your face. You lean into the gentle touch without saying anything in response. Part of you is far too exhausted to say anything, and the other part is so overwhelmed by the love in his tone that you don’t know what to say. “Let me get the shower warmed up and ready, okay?”
“Okay,” you whisper back, barely able to manage anything more than that. Before Yeosang leaves you though, you peck him once more on the lips and smile up at him with a content expression.
“I love you too.”

the one-seater sofa you were nestled in was threadbare and faded, but its old charm was what made it the perfect finishing piece to your little nook.
it sat between two wooden shelves, the excellent fit making it look like it's been specially made to be placed in that very corner of the downtown bookshop. the seat dipped down significantly after hours and hours spent carrying weight as people momentarily escaped from their mundane days and glided through one fictional world into another where they could live some other life apart from the one they had in this modern 21st-century town.
it was probably fate telling you to savor life’s simpler pleasures, having found the bookshop in one of your low-profile tours of the kingdom—one of your responsibilities as a ruler in training. you’ve been coming here ever since to no one but your assistant’s knowledge.
in the three years that passed, you couldn't remember if you have seen the seemingly insignificant yet inviting piece of furniture you were sitting on ever look new or if there was anybody in your town who has used it as much as you have.
what you did know was that every time you came to get lost in reading, a new trinket prepared by the bookshop's only owner, allen, would always be waiting on top of it. a book with a marked page, illustrations that reminded him of you, or simple items that made you smile were always accompanied by a mug of dark cocoa placed on top of a nearby shelf with a neat coaster. and don't forget the little note signed with a tiny, almost reluctantly-drawn, heart.
tonight, it was a newly-bought knitted blanket the color of lush forests in autumn. you wrapped it around yourself the moment you sat down and you noticed that it smelled like old books and oat-scented candles. "because it's almost your favorite season," the note said.
“how's my best customer enjoying their favorite spot tonight?” allen's face appeared peeking through a small space between the books to your right. he smiled, eyes and all, seeing you cradled in the knitted blanket with a book propped up with your knees, his warm mug in your hand.
allen was doing his nightly rounds, making sure new book arrivals were well stacked and sorted before he called it a day and went home. seeing you still immersed in reading a few minutes before the shop's closing time was not a new sight to him. in fact, it was how he finished many of his more enjoyable workdays.
"you know, if you treat every customer like this, they might end up falling for you." you took a sip of the dark cocoa and raised an eyebrow at him, ignoring the question. "with hot cocoa like this every time they're here? i'm surprised people aren't lining up outside."
allen didn't stop smiling and raised an eyebrow back to tease you, "so that means you're enjoying it?" he asked, making his way around the shelves and towards your sofa, plopping himself down on one of its arms.
the answer to his question was apparent with the relaxed way you were sitting, but you answered him anyway. "yes, allen. as always. thank you." you looked up at him, smiling sincerely and noticing how his warm stare didn’t falter.
"i like this one." he tapped the spine of the book you were holding, the white palace, by tom lee. allen always liked discussing books you’ve both read, going over details you yourself would have missed. he looked at you, taking the softbound item in his hand. “princess…”
you kept yourself from choking on your drink. for the past three years, a set of unusual circumstances led to allen still being clueless that you, his bookshop’s most avid patron, were indeed a crowned princess.
did he finally hear about who you were? you really wanted to be the one to tell him and you were planning to do it soon, but he must’ve found the timing impeccable, seeing you read a novel about royalty then and there.
you braced yourself for the questions, gathering up remnants of an unfinished explanation that you wanted to save for later.
“….princess mary, was that her name? the main character?” you inwardly sighed in relief and nodded.  maybe not. but soon.“how are you liking it so far?”
"i think it's quite exaggerated, the way they described the king and queen's private life. you know, they have an ordinary side to them, too. more than you would think.” you replied.
"mmhmm." he nodded thoughtfully like he always does when you expressed your opinion, like he was doing his best to grasp your perspective. “fiction has that tendency. and what are the chances of the princess getting married to a commoner?”
you shrugged and patted the small space beside you on the one-seater. what are the chances of the princess getting married to a commoner? you turned the question over and over in your head.
"i already closed up the entrance, but we can stay for another hour again if you want? wouldn't be the first time," allen said, accepting your silent offer and laughing at how both of you fit snuggly on the sofa, his chest pressed against your shoulder and his arms draped behind you.
"how about just another five minutes? i actually have to go earlier today. work." you offered him a sip from the mug to which he obliged, putting his hands over yours as he sipped up the warm drink. "but this is just too comfortable to pass up." you finished.
after a few lovely minutes, you helped allen close the bookshop. both of you walked side by side, taking the small path to the main road. the space between you two was almost nonexistent as the cold fall evening made you seek for each other’s warmth, however slight.
you loved this, the comfortable silence he always gave you when you were about to part. he wasn’t too keen about asking you questions and was contented with listening only to what you wanted to share. he never asked, for instance, why you always refused to let him bring you home. instead, he told you almost a hundred times to be careful on the way.
"i'm glad you enjoyed your nook today.” he faced you and you smiled at his words, giving him an intuitive peck on the cheek to which he scrunched his nose in delight. i enjoyed it too much, you thought. sometimes, being there made you forget that you were in line to rule an entire kingdom. you wanted to say this but decided against it. next time. i promise. “be careful on the way back, okay?”
you nodded at him to go ahead. he never ever failed to look back at you at least thrice while walking away.
tonight, you counted four.
finally, he turned a corner and you sighed.
"your highness." a car stopped in front of you not even a minute after, its front windows rolling down to reveal your assistant. you remember specifically asking him not to open the car door for you when he drops you off and picks you up a block away from the bookshop, things he still remembers to do until now.
you opened the door and sat yourself down on the backseat. "thanks, serim."
upon getting in, you knew serim was ready to update you about any developments on your current dealings, the most pertinent one being the donor’s ball, the first-ever palace event your parents, the king and queen, were letting you host on your own.
“there are some catering concerns that need to be finalized and i was told the guestlist for the donor’s ball is ready for you, your highness. when would you want to view it?”
“tonight is fine. it would be great if it was brought to the drawing-room when we arrive.”
“i’ll have it arranged. and a slot needs filling. one of the donors said they were withdrawing the donations for the children’s home, your highness,” serim reported, an undertone of annoyance just barely showing through at the said withdrawal.
“is it kim’s pages inc.?” you leaned your head on the window of the car and saw serim nod. “that’s fine. we have two weeks. that should be enough to find a replacement. let’s have a message sent to similar companies in town.”
“right away, your highness.”
you made a mental list of your commitments for the rest of the week, knowing you’d have no free time to have another one of your nights at the bookshop with allen for a few days. but this was your reality and you weren’t complaining. you were bringing people the help they needed. telling allen would have to wait.
"oh, and serim?” you leaned forward to peak at his face through the rearview mirror.
"yes, your highness?”
“remember when i told you not to call me ‘your highness’?”
“yes….your highness.” he shifted in his seat, holding back a snort.
"you don't have to call me that when we're alone. we're practically siblings and it feels weird. just casually, okay? and take those sunglasses off, it’s evening.” you patted his shoulder playfully from the backseat, all the walls of professionalism crumbling down with your high-pitched laughter.
"alright, y/n." he laughed and cleared his throat, loosening up at your signal.
serim, the only person inside the palace you could freely confide in when you were growing up, became your assistant at your request. his family has worked for the palace for years and no one could do the job better than him. ”since we're acting like actual buddies now, how's that bookshop owner doing? you told him already?” he asked, pulling up to the front gates of your residence which opened automatically at the sight of your vehicle.
"i will. soon.”

your decision to not appear on television, or any platform for that matter, even while you were accomplishing work for public service was something your family never questioned. in fact, they supported it, knowing what scrutiny could do to a young woman still finding her character.
that said, allen not knowing that you were a member of the royal family was not a big surprise, as you were less of a household face than the rest of the monarchy. you deliberately avoided media and the public eye with the help of your dedicated staff, but this didn't mean you dodged your responsibilities. you were busy as can be, meeting partners in private meetings, arranging food and basic support for local shelters, and making sure the palace helpers were well-compensated.
allen’s bookshop was your breath of relief after a long day. in fact, the morning after spending hours at your small second home always made you feel like you were living a double life—from the worn-down sofa and aged bookshelves to the grand halls and luxurious decorative pieces of the palace.
“honey, i heard you were working until 2 am last night. you should really be getting rest. you know how busy we’ll all be on the day of the ball.” the queen greeted you with a frown as you approached the breakfast table set under a small gazebo in the middle of the palace garden. you sat down and were faced with a complete breakfast setup of the best eggs, toast, fruit, and all kinds of beverages, ready for you like they always were in the mornings.
“good morning, darling.” the king greeted you after taking a sip of coffee. he eyed your mother, urging her to greet you good morning before the rest of her concerned reminders. “have some breakfast. you’ll need it with the way you’re bustling nowadays.”
“yes, father. and don’t worry, mother, we just had some unexpected things to iron out,” you assured your parents. with you taking care of the event for the first time ever, you knew they just wanted things to go smoothly.
the donor's ball was hosted every fall. its main purpose was to gather potential partners that will support the charities under the royal family’s care. it did mean going out and being seen more than you would like, but it was the perfect opportunity to bring more to your constituents. you couldn't pass up the additional support for your advocacies.
but to add to that, your parents seemed to think the donor’s ball had another purpose.
“the kangs are on the guestlist. i heard they were bringing their heir, minhee,” your mother shared, trying to sound nonchalant, but you knew exactly what she was hinting at. “right?” she nudged your father who almost choked on his buttered roll.
“right. jungmo is coming too. remember him? your horseback riding partner?” your father asked.
“when i was 12? yes, father. i remember. and for the nth time…” you smiled at both of them patiently. “i’m marrying neither minhee nor jungmo.”
the king and queen merely looked at each other. their attempts to push you to meet potential grooms in the donor’s ball were now out of the picture.
“it’s alright, i got it, thank you.” you smiled at the palace helper and took the pot of tea from her hands, pouring your own cup.
“then who will it be, y/n? you know we always let you do what you think is best for you, but we only had one request: good in-laws.” the king asked, still sounding gentle as ever despite his hard exterior and the ever-so-pressing question.
“you get a choice, dear.” your mother smiled at you over the breakfast table. “you can find someone to marry yourself or you can entrust the task to me.”
“i’m on it.” you said almost inaudibly before taking a bite of your breakfast.
“come again?” your parents were all ears now. never hearing anything about the state of your heart was the norm for them, so you suddenly saying that you were ‘on it’ was quite the surprise.
you figured that if you were going to tell allen who you really were and how you really felt about him soon, your parents might as well know before they did anything funny, like set you up with kang minhee for example. minhee was great, but he was not allen.
“what if i want to marry the owner of that small bookstore?” you asked more confidently than before. they were silenced for a few seconds, again exchanging looks, but later on, they merely shrugged like they realized just who they were talking to. by now, they would have gotten used to how unpredictable their only child could be.
“then they had better pass their background checks. oh, and of course, we will have to interview them.” your mother explained. “—and don’t worry, i’ll tell your father not to scare them away.” she added after seeing that you were about to protest. to this, your father simply rolled his eyes, making the palace helpers giggle behind you. they always loved witnessing the rather casual exchanges you had with your parents.
“alright.” you smiled, grateful that you three reached an understanding. you were anxious, yes. how is he going to take this? but you were also visibly giddy. you had too many butterflies in your stomach to worry about anything else. the technicalities would have to be taken care of some other time. “you’re going to love him.”
your parents smiled at you purely, “we can’t wait to meet him.”
Tumblr media
“if you treat every customer like this, they might end up falling for you.” allen shook his head, chuckling by himself inside his humble studio apartment. he was cooking up a simple lunch when he remembered what you told him the day before. unconsciously, he caught himself hoping that it was a masked confession. allen knew it was a reach, trying to deduce how you felt just from those words, but seeing how close you two have become—the lingering gazes, warm hugs, and pecks on the cheek—he hoped he had a chance to have his feelings reciprocated openly. it’s probably time to clear out where both of you stood. it’s been 3 years after all.
the first time you ever stepped inside the bookshop, allen thought you were terribly overdressed. it was just at the break of spring and summer. you entered the shop alone and almost unnoticed, with allen’s back turned and you making the door chimes sound softer than they usually do. he actually only realized you were inside the shop when he saw you perusing the aisle containing contemporary mystery novels. with the beige sundress and huge sunglasses that you wore, one wouldn’t assume that you were from that town.
“hi, uhm, are you a tourist?” allen asked, ready to offer his help if you said yes. however, he was not looking directly at you but at the book you had in your hands. it was one of the novels in his shop he was not very fond of due to its unnecessary wordiness and lack of research.
“uhm, no. but i am new to this shop. they have a good selection, huh?” you paused and chuckled at the expression on allen’s face. “don’t worry, i’m not fond of his writing, either.”
“huh?” with a confused expression, he looked up at your face for the first time.
“i noticed you were squinting at it,” you said, raising the book up to eye level.
“ah, i’m sorry.” a bashful laugh sounded throughout the bookshop. allen looked like he could be your age but he carried himself like a young child meeting someone for the first time. “but you have to admit, his book covers feel very satisfying.”
“that’s the only reason why i was holding it. to feel it.” you laughed along with him and noticed that he was carrying a stack of at least 10 books. you removed your sunglasses to have a closer look at the titles. “you’re buying all of that?”
“no, no. i— uh, own the shop, actually. just reorganizing.” he said shyly, not used to introducing himself to a customer because everyone in the neighborhood who came to buy from him already knew this fact.
“oh! and here i was asking you about your own selections! lovely shop, by the way, sir…?”
“allen. just allen.” he held out his hand. when he asked for your name with complete curiosity and with no trace of recognition on his face, you knew that this was going to be a new and interesting place to be. from then on, his bookshop was the only place outside the palace to witness your unquenchable thirst for reading.
with every visit, your relationship with allen bloomed from awkward exchanges of greetings and smiles to a routine of long-winded discussions—ranging from the sweet and the natural to the borderline debate-like—a welcome sign that you have grown comfortable in each other’s presence. aside from the fact that he still did not know a single thing about your family background, both of you could say that you’ve come to know each other well, even up to the smallest habits and preferences.
allen could not remember when he realized that he always missed you terribly on the days you wouldn’t come. he did not know when he started to want to hold you while you had your nose up in a book. he also couldn’t tell at what point in time in the past three years his heart started beating faster at every soft tinkling sound of the door chime, always wishing it was you who entered when he turned and looked.
although he was not sure exactly when he fell for you, he’s more than certain that he wanted to be able to spend time with you and maybe have a future with you outside of the confines of his store.
“if you treat every customer like this, they might end up falling for you.” the next time you came, he was going to tell you that he’s never done special gestures like that for any other customer. his heart simply becomes happy making you smile and he’ll be glad to continue doing so for as long as you let him.
allen smiled by himself again, thinking about the mug of hot cocoa and heartfelt confession he was going to give you when you come back.
Tumblr media
it’s been a few days since you last got the chance to take a break from your endless meetings. the two weeks leading up to the ball clouded your mind with nothing but work, work, and work. the one free night you had before the ball was tomorrow and you would usually be feeling excited at the thought of seeing allen and being cradled by pages of fiction in your spot between the shelves. but with the case at hand, all you could do was worry. the excitement upon telling your parents about him was now replaced with a rabbit hole of concern.
“i can hear your heart racing through the phone lines, y/n…” your best friend said through the phone call. staying in your room cooped up with your thoughts just wasn’t going to do it. you needed someone who was not on edge to put you in the right mindset for tomorrow and no one could do it better than your childhood best friend, who just so happened to be the young prince of a neighboring kingdom.
“i know, hyeongjun. be the prince that you are and give me your thoughts, please.” you leaned your back on one of the pillars of your balcony, staring out at the wide expanse of your town and the few flickering lights in the distance. you wondered if allen was closing up his shop right this very moment.
“before that… tell me. why do you like this allen?” hyeongjun asked. as you knew he wasn’t one to judge based on status or occupation, you obliged.
“well…” you started to fill him in right from the very beginning. your eyes were still looking out at the town, but your mind was replaying your typical visits to the shop like a movie reel.
you told hyeongjun about how your heart would do somersaults seeing allen sitting on the front desk, looking dashing even in just a simple sweater; about how his eyes would light up when he turned and saw you enter the shop; how he would look down and have a tint of red on his cheeks, catching himself in the middle of a rant when you listened to his stories with a loving gaze and undivided attention.
you smiled dreamily as you continued to narrate how you found the very first note allen left for you. it was placed on top of a stack of aged books at the shelf you frequented. the note said: “y/n. because i noticed you seemed to love horror fiction. these are some of my favorites. tell me what you think about them? :)” you looked over at the front desk, meeting his eyes which were already looking in your direction. you gave him a thumbs up, earning an excited smile from him.
before you left the bookshop that day, you noticed a bunch of crumpled post-it notes inside the bin beside the front door, some of them with longer messages, some with scribbled out hearts and more smiley faces. you chuckled, imagining how flustered he must’ve been while deciding what to write before finally settling for the simpler message instead.
you jumpily described your surprise at how, several months after you first met, allen dared to hold your hand and pull you between the wooden shelves to show you the seat he set up just for you; how he would smile when you told him his shop brought you comfort; how the hours spent with him are the longest you could go without being served or addressed as a noble, but as a beloved friend and maybe even more.
“and his mind… he knows more things than i could possibly know. he’s smart. but he still listens to me like everything i say is brand new to him. he’s no prince, but he’s left me more to think about than any other prince i’ve met. no offense, hyeongjun. you know i love you.”
“none taken.” hyeongjun breathed out, taking in everything you said. “just now, it sounded like you were reading me a fairytale. y/n, i know you’re already a real princess, but you saying such things makes me think you’re a princess out of actual fantasy.”
“hyeongjun…” you whined, not understanding where he was going with this.
“okay, look. i don’t think it was for the fear of him treating you differently that you still have not told him about your background,” he rationalized. hyeongjun has always been a bubbly friend, but you could rely on him to be wise and objective when you needed it the most. “it was the comfort that he brought you after a long day. maybe it was the way he treated you like an equal that kept you contented with what he knows about you at this point in time.”
you stayed silent and felt the waves of worry ebbing away because of how accurately he described your situation.
“my point is, y/n, if he was everything you described him to be, he would understand why you took this long to tell him. don’t get ahead of yourself, okay?” hyeongjun asked. “but if he reacts negatively, i can always send some of my personal guards to talk it out with him and—“
“hyeongjun!”
“i’m kidding! i just wanted to make you laugh,” he said giggling. you shook your head and laughed along with him, feeling yourself gaining more will to face the next day. the sigh you had now was one of partial relief
“thank you… i mean it.” you told him. “see you at the ball?”
“it’s your first donor’s ball. i wouldn’t miss it for the world.”

i said i was gonna do it, so here i am! i am writing this on the fly, making it up as i go along so who knows how long it will be! who knows.
i have finally played every route in fe3h, including the dlc- currently im making my way through the new game+ and screaming because this is my life now apparently. this isn’t really a deep and meaningful essay just... my experience playing the game and all the routes.
( pls note i played on casual and normal for my original playthrough because i am a wimp. for ng+ im still playing casual but this time im playing on hard. )
this is the order in which i played the routes + dlc: verdant wind, azure moon, cindered shadows, silver snow and crimson flower.
right! so!! let’s start!
White Clouds: the first twelve chapters are obviously pretty same-y, which is fine, except when you’re playing 4 times in a row. i liked the fact that the goddess tower was unique for every route and character you were trying to get s support with. there were some unique aspects to the different house, ie. judith, arundel, rodrigue, finding out about dimitri and edelgard. but other than that i did get pretty bored when it came around to doing it... again. and idk just, like i said the reveals obviously weren’t as shocking the 4 time around but like, they were still enjoyable, which is good at least!
Verdant Wind: this route is... eh. it’s the first one i did because dear god i am in love with claude. the route in and of itself is probably one of the weakest ngl. there were things that didn’t make sense in the context of the route and unlike azure moon and crimson flower it didn’t feel unique (given that this route and silver snow are.... IDENTICAL. except the final bosses) the final boss was dope and i am obsessed with God Shattering Star, but other than that? meh. i liked it at first because it was my first one and yknow, claude. but now it’s just idk, it’s lacking. and i’m gonna be honest: i don’t like most of the class. i like claude, hilda, marianne and lysithea. that is it. the others are just overbearing or kinda boring. lorenz i just, i can’t get over his design, i know he’s a deep character but i dislike most of his c supports, i hate his hair and the way he talks. ignatz and raphael are forgettable. i know they’re also very deep characters but their surface levels make me not want to go into their characters. and just. fuck leonie, i’m sorry i just cannot handle her. she’s overbearing, annoying, thinks that because jeralt trained her she’s better than everyone??? GOD. her supports with hilda are cute, and i like her post-timeskip design but otherwise she’s one of my least favourite characters in the game. im sorry. (edit: okay im revising this because it was late at night and perhaps i was a bit harsh. i dont actually mind the characters i mentioned that much, in fact they can be quite funny, however, i still prefer characters from the other houses more.) so my verdict of this route is that i did enjoy it, i liked the cutscenes and the timeskip designs but it’s still only my second favourite. 8/10.
Azure Moon: look. i’m just saying, this route? is the best. hands down, it’s absolutely amazing. it has it’s flaws, and it’s very different from the other routes and is also very much the most fire emblem like route but that’s okay. this route is devastating, heartbreaking, really fucking sad. and that just draws me in. when i first did the route i was gonna marry mercedes because i am gay and love her but the character of dimitri is just so incredibly well done- before and after the timeskip. i like the fact that there’s essence behind his character, meaning. i actually found this route to be kinda hard in places (cornelia for example and also edelgard) and it’s also very unique. i like the way the two factions of faerghus and adrestia interact, and also the way the alliance is just dragged into it. ( claude doesn’t die which is good!!!!) in the other routes you only really see dimitri as this crazed character but in azure moon you find out WHY and yes, that is good. the characters are all very unique and i like them all they all have their own stories and characteristics that make them as unique at the route. the cutscenes and stills are, beautifully done and truly heartbreaking. and just. AH. i adore this route more than i have any right to, on the whole it’s my favourite. 10/10.
Cindered Shadows: this isn’t really a route, but that’s okay, im sure you guys don’t mind. i love the ashen wolves, they’re amazing. the story is... weak. because it doesn’t fit into the actual plot at all and that annoys me. aelfric is a character i dislike immensely but maybe that was the point? i find the explanations in the route to be its downfall, because it clashes with what we already know in the game. sitri is pretty and im glad we get a tiny bit more byleth and sitri backstory but otherwise the characters and abyss are it’s saving grace. 6/10.
Silver Snow: im gonna go ahead and say it: fuck this route. it’s verdant wind but with seteth instead of claude. it’s verdant wind but bad and boring. it’s dull and unnecessary. i had really high hopes for this route because it’s the church! i dont like the church but a route with them could be very interesting! it was not! it lacked personality, it lacked uniqueness. i don’t particularly like most of the characters and basically just used the students and fuuuuuck the final boss. the only reason i did this route was because i wanted to romance yuri but also edelgard.  2/10 would not play again.
Crimson Flower: ... ... ... WHERE ARE THE CUTSCENES!!!! where is the reunion scene between byleth and edelgard, why is it all stills!!!!!! WHY IS IT SHORTER THAN THE OTHERS!!!! WHY. the story in this route is actually very interesting, and well thought out. but the aforementioned points are what make me want to ram my head into a wall. idk why they thought to give silver snow cutscenes and not this route but it was stupid. i do like the way the portrayed the church and rhea though. as the villains they technically are. i like the characters a lot, they’re all great, and i love the angst!!! the way you get to choose if you want to spare or kill your children whom you love. ( i spared claude and lysithea because i am weak. ) but its just. the vibe of the route is ruined by the lack of cutscenes and thats dumb ik but it is what it is. and also it did NOT need to be shorter, there was no reason for it to be as short as it was. 5/10.
so in order we have:
Azure Moon
Verdant Wind
Cindered Shadows
Crimson Flower
Silver Snow
i enjoyed the game a lot, the writing was beautiful and the characterization was also really good. but some of the characters and routes were just. weak. very very weak.
idk what else to say so imma leave it here i guess!! pls feel free to debate with me, i’d like that a lot.

Top 10 PS4 Exclusives
Sony’s PlayStation 4 has been a consistently impressive console since it broke into the market in 2013 and has been producing hit after hit ever since. Though arguably the best of this powerful and versatile console has been the exclusives Sony themselves have developed, so today’s post will be counting down the top ten exclusives to make their way onto the PS4. If you’re more of a Nintendo person, be sure to check out my top 10 Switch exclusives for a look at the best Ninty console since the 64.
Note: This list includes ports and remasters because some of them definitely need a mention here
Tumblr media
10. Astro Bot Rescue Mission
Tumblr media
Easily the best game in Sony’s VR library, Astro Bot is a wonderfully creative platformer with a variety of unique gadgets, bosses and locations to play through. Astro Bot breaks the boundaries found in most VR games, which often suffer from being disappointingly short or graphically eye-hurty in VR, and creates a genuinely enjoyable experience built upon the cute little robots that apparently live in your controller. More of this pls.
9. Detroit: Become Human
Tumblr media
Very probably the edgiest game you’ll ever play, this in no way means that Detroit doesn’t deserve your attention. Detroit is a decision-based game set from the perspectives of three androids from entirely different backgrounds. As is customary in these kinds of games, your decisions affect the fates of the characters and the resolution of the story as a whole and you’ll find yourself completely taken with the perils of the characters you play as and the Blade Runner-esque world they inhabit. One to pick up if you like feeling things.
8. Shadow of the Colossus
Tumblr media
A remaster of a legendary PS2 game, Colossus is a game everyone needs to play at least once. This game breaks most of the traditions in modern RPGs, with no cities, dungeons, characters or even enemies other than the 16 gigantic ‘colossi’ you must defeat. Colossus holds up today as a very emotional and almost haunting game that requires you to think outside of the usual realms of hacking things to pieces, instead encouraging logic to discover each monster’s weak points. This worthy remaster is an experience you won’t soon forget.
7. Until Dawn
Tumblr media
While some may question Until Dawn’s place on this list, I genuinely believe this game is an essential for all PS4 owners. Taking control of eight teenagers ripped straight out of a horror movie dripping with tropes, you must survive a night of horror as the group navigates a deadly mountain that for some reason they decided to go back to after their friends died there. Rest assured, there are plenty of scares to be had and plenty of stupid decisions to make that you will definitely regret. If this is a game you know nothing about, I challenge you to get them all out alive. Because you probably won’t.
6. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
Tumblr media
Uncharted 4 marks the final chapter of the ever brilliant Nathan Drake, and this time, he’s dragging you along on the best adventure he’s ever had. After reuniting with his long lost brother, they go on a hunt for a pirate’s lost treasure. And every moment is filled with stunning visuals, slick gameplay and a group of heartfelt characters that I defy you not to get attached to. If none of that draws you in, then surely the Crash Bandicoot section at the start will justify this game’s place on the list.
5. The Last of Us: Remastered
Tumblr media
Despite only releasing in 2013, The Last of Us seems to have already ascended to cult status and is yet another game everybody needs to play through once. The game is stunning to look at, terrifying to play and satisfying in every way, not to mention the polished crafting system that will make you do a little fist pump when you find a crowbar on the floor or some tape. But of course, the highlights of The Last of Us are the characters at its core, the growing father-daughter relationship between Joel and Ellie taking centre stage. This is a game packed full of emotion and terror in equal measure and should be on every PS4 owner’s trophy list.
4. Persona 5
Tumblr media
This one will very likely be ported over to the Switch at some point soon, so I’m putting this one in the list while I can. If you’ve never played a Persona game, that doesn’t matter. My advice to you on this one is just dive in and embrace how weird this 100 hour-ish wonderful RPG is. You play as a typical anime protagonist who is transferred out to another school and forms a group of thieves who steal people’s desires. Sounds edgy, right? But honestly, it’s amazing and there’s nothing else I can tell you without giving stuff away so go play (I’m literally only up to the end of the 1st palace and I love it)
3. Marvel’s Spider-Man
Tumblr media
Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man released only a few months ago, but it’s already being hailed as one of the best superhero games of all time. The studio behind Ratchet and Clank basically nailed everything about this game; the swinging mechanics, the combat, the character designs, plot and dialogue is all intrinsically Spider-Man. This is well-deserved to be placed among the best games of last year and very much worth your time if you’re a Marvel fan (especially with the tons of Marvel references and easter eggs) or to be honest, even if you’re not, it’s fun. Like really fun.
2. Horizon Zero Dawn
Tumblr media
To put it simply, Horizon Zero Dawn was Sony’s answer to Breath of the Wild. While the two follow completely different paths as RPGs, the concept of exploring a dizzyingly massive world is the same. The difference here is you’ve got cool robots to fight! Seriously though, Horizon is one of the best open world experiences you can get your hands on today. This game takes the usual archetype of post-apocalyptic games being grey and colourless in their landscapes and turns that around completely, providing players with a rich, bright and colourful world filled with creatures and weird plants and did I mention the cool robots? To summarise this, following Aloy on her quest to discover her roots is one you won’t soon forget.
Here’s some also pretty good games that didn’t quite make the list:
Bloodborne
Kingdom Hearts HD Remixes
Little Big Planet 3
InFAMOUS: Second Son
Driveclub
1. God of War
Tumblr media
Here it is, the game that took an already hugely successful franchise and booted it straight up into the atmosphere. Grabbing game of the year 2018 over heavy hitters like Red Dead 2 and Spider-Man, the God of War reboot was a game that captured the hearts of people everywhere, whether fans of the series or otherwise. In this entry, we see Kratos in an entirely different light as you take on the monstrous titans the series is famed for. This time, the game’s central focus is the relationship between Kratos and his son Atreus and how they grow and develop throughout their journey to scatter Atreus’ mother’s ashes. This entry took everything people loved about the GoW series and redid it all from the ground up, providing fans with an unforgettable masterpiece.
What’s your favourite exclusive? What upcoming game are you most hyped about? Do you like Kratos’ beard? Let me know down below if u wanna. Thanks for reading!

goseiger for the top 3 thing?
as a note, im only like twenty-something episodes into goseiger and will remain that way until someone ( @iwatchtoomuchtoku ) finds the time to continue it with me
top 3 favorite characters
Hyde bc for some reason i like ‘sharkboy except as an adult who probs not only has a coupon binder but also organizes his coupons by expiration date and type’, Moune bc im gay, and Alata bc im specifically gay for dragons
top 3 least favorite characters
i??? dont think i have any, actually? not enough for me to think about off the top of my head. even the villains are fairly enjoyable in their own right, enough that i dont actually dislike watching them.
top 3 otps
Hyde x Past Teammate Guy That Died (Magis? i think?). Alata and Eri have some cute potential, i remember that ep with him having her do the training stuff she taught him as kids was super adorable. i dont actually ship much in this show, im realizing. i guess my last one would be…. Hyde and Agri seems fairly popular and also p cute, i could get behind that.
top 3 notps
i mean. hand-in-hand with not really shipping anyone is not really not-shipping anyone either. i mean besides the obvious (pls tell me theres no moune and agri ppl out there, theyre siblings, yo).
top 3 brotps
Moune and Hyde are wlw/mlm solidarity and you cant change my mind. Moune and Eri are both different flavors of reckless, and its great. Alata is literally Everyone’s best friend, so can i say i brotp him with Everyone? if i gotta be specific, him with the kid is real cute.
top 3 favorite episodes/chapters/scenes/games in series
So far? the very first thing that comes to mind is when theyre all trying to communicate with their elements and alata and eri are flying, and moune and agri are just kneeling on the ground, and then theres hyde. floating, fully dressed, in the middle of the ocean. Fully Dressed. i think its part of why he became my favorite bc hyde. buddy. what are you Doing.
other than that… i liked hyde and moune working together to get outta that weird box/other dimension thing (i dont remember what episode this was). oh and when hyde and agri went shopping and hyde dragged them to all the stores to find the best deals, and then had them go back around again to actually buy all the stuff.
…all of these moments include hyde. dammit. okay lets see, a couple without hyde… alata drawing his own card bc his powers werent working was so so good. moune and eri working together whilst the boys were literal furniture was Also a gift sent to me, specifically.
top 3 other things u think ppl who like this thing should watch/read/play
i mean??? other super sentai stuff probably? idk ive seen like 2 super sentai and i dont know anything about it. i think literally everyone should go watch Leverage, and its got team-found-family dynamics and hijinks so if you like that kinda thing… thats all i can think of right now XP
my rating of this media out of 3, with 0 being lowest and 3 being highest
3 so far. its cute, and i like the team, and Hyde is my sharkman!
send me a show or anything really

Premier League Fixtures | Sky Sports
Epl schedule tomorrow - EPL Fixtures This Weekend |
If you have the Premier League then your app should be pristine video quality. They have eye money and the resources. NBC Sports gets a little lazy with the video quality because they know that no other tv network in the United States has any plans to buy the rights to click at this page the PL anytime in the near future. Can somebody please teach the idiots at NBC about what full match stats are. This happens quite often.
She never persists and changes the subject or cuts to a commercial epl schedule tomorrow. How lucky are you guys!!! Due to the virus, soccer watchers are at the mercy of network TV. Fun at first but boring.
A second sighting could be most instructive. Also, when the League starts epl schedule tomorrow, why not run the words the fans sing across the bottom of the screen. Is that a good idea. Rex Hearn, 89, Manchester City supporter since 7. Surely after all these years some enterprising fan has collected them in book form to which epl schedule tomorrow may refer. We understand! Rex Hearn. Love that we have epl schedule tomorrow start of a fixture list.
Just wondering about your source? Hi Ian, epl schedule tomorrow clubs and NBC Sports as well as other media outlets wait until tomorros is officially announced before publishing the schedules. Thanks again. It says that it is on Telemundo in the official Premier League app and I am just wanting to make sure that it is true. Sometimes the official Premier League app has informative post wrong listings. Yes, the Peacock games on Sunday will be on Gold as shedule.
Brighton-Newcastle will be on Peacock and Gold also. Replays for tojorrow matches will be available after 9 pm ET. I tried the Gold this year, but never had enough discipline to not look up the scores until 9 pm. I will not sign up for package next season. In total, Peacock Premium will present more than 1, hours of Premier League live match schedul epl schedule tomorrow programming — the most robust offering epl schedule tomorrow available in the U.
Included are full-event replays for all matches on-demand after 9 p. Here in the U. IT makes it very easy to track your wagers, post the odds, track different sportsbooks to select the best odds. Do you know if there is anything like that published in the U. I would love to subscribe to it as it would make wagering on the games less time consuming and more enjoyable.
I would imagine if there is they also might publish for the German, and other Premier level leagues. Thanks for any help you can give me.
Sky Sports picks the games for their television broadcasts, which sometimes require approval from police scheduoe games that are derbies or matches that are considered to be more dangerous requiring additional police protection for fans. The process takes time. I blame all three of them because they have cheated a huge number of Premier soccer fans from a great deal of pleasure.
A pox on all three of these selfish organizations! They took it away, now you have to pay to get it? I think you call epl schedule tomorrow extortion!? At least this Saturday and Sunday I actually will get 3 each day; unless that changes between now epl schedule tomorrow then!!! Can epl schedule tomorrow find a phone number to call Peacock for live help? I mentioned before to very wary of giving them sdhedule credit card information.
EPL Fixtures This Weekend
Rip off artists. So apparently, if epl schedule tomorrow want to watch the reigning EPL champs, you need Peacock at the moment. Maybe in November I can watch Liverpool. Epl schedule tomorrow noticed that!!! A real shame. Like I tell everyone, it was fun while it lasted! Looks like Christopher Harris was right. NBC is screwing over its cable subs a bit more this year. Chris: thanks for the link.
I caution people again to be wary of this vendor. Do you want the shock epl schedule tomorrow being wrongly charged? The hassle of dealing with an organization that hides its phone number?
Whose chat line appears inoperative? Other contact info made difficult to obtain? Even the investigator writing up the case noted difficulty reaching them. Do you have the time and disposition to deal with such problems for such a poor service? Will report outcome. Obviously it looks e;l an error occurred with otmorrow experience. Many companies make it difficult epl schedule tomorrow find their phone number.
I already pay for Peacock Premium but, unlike every other non-HBO service, it is difficult to watch Peacock outside of the home. My friend has an old Roku and a Amazon fire stick, so the app is unavailable. And she is a Comcast customer. But if you are paying for it then it should be available wherever you want to watch it.
But NBC is making it very difficult for me to share my love tomorroww the game with others. A quick update on my Peacock tribulation. Good news. Thanks to Chris H.
The sign up process was clunky, user unfriendly, and I had no confirmation that it epl schedule tomorrow thru. So I tried again but this time more cautiously opting for visit monthly, as my confidence in Peacock ebbed.
Premier League TV schedule and streaming links
Bingo… access to the Prem! I received the monthly charge, but later also got charged for the whole year for the failed sign up. My error was that, in my initial frustration to get activated, I must schesule entered my email incorrectly. So they were also charging me for that service, feeding to nobody or someone lucky! It was epl schedule tomorrow result of a harried fan being careless out of frustration, but why not install a system that would require email validation?
Looks like Peacock Premium subscribers have been screwed over?? How greedy is that? Just using it to force in new Peacock viewers!! I hope they lose the next Premier League contract. I only say this because there are many epl schedule tomorrow cutters that hope this same thing happens — but only so they can actually watch a top level match like this one via schedle stream only service like Peacock. Not as long as providers know that their traditional cable networks still draw a significant revenue stream, yet also can do so via their separate stream-only service.
EPL is most watched euro soccer league in the US and any provider will do what they can to maximize their revenue possibilities. If you epl schedule tomorrow a later model of the Roku devices with their latest software you can screen mirror to epl schedule tomorrow Roku. You then control the start and end of the game from your iPad but the video and sound comes from your TV.
I Have just bought a gen6 IPad and maybe this will do better. tomrorow pay for Peacock Premium on my old pad, how do I get to install epl schedule tomorrow on my new one without having to pay twice? Rebecca You should definitely be able to see an option to just login to Peacock app with your current profile do not sign up again epl schedule tomorrow the new iPad so helpful site to not be epl schedule tomorrow. Rebecca since Peacock allows multiple streams at the epl schedule tomorrow time your old iPad installation will not epl schedule tomorrow you from installing the app epl schedule tomorrow the Apple App store and than being charged again.
Just install the app and provide login credentials like email address and password. As far as your freezing problem is concerned it could be that your WiFi connection to the iPad is not very good. Make sure that your WiFi connection is excellent 5 bars. Other users did complain that Peacock does buffer the stream too many times to their liking.
So distinguish between buffering and freezing, epl schedule tomorrow will show a twirling circle. I always have to make sure not to connect to my Scyedule 5GHz epl schedule tomorrow as somehow that one is not as good as my 2. If I pay for the product I should be able to access the epl schedule tomorrow whenever I want to, how I want to and at a time that best suits me.
LTx In other topics here it was hotly debated what you mentioned. Several factors contributed to the lack of features in the Peacock App. There was no clear strategy how to present to the tomodrow the games as is evident by the dividing the matches between NBC, NBCSN and Peacock and than again a change in strategy by dropping games from the On-Demand Peacock streaming.
It all reeks a bit of an amateurish approach. Liverpool v. Now I am paying for less??? Makes you dizzy trying to figure it out each week. There is an error on the scheduling. On Sunday the 7th you show Wolverhampton v. Leeds and on Monday the 8th you show Leeds v. Crystal Epl schedule tomorrow. As s Leicester City fan I was miffed there was no game scheduled so went to their site and see they are epl schedule tomorrow to play Sunday v.
Otherwise keep up the good work! Man City game on Peacock will have spanish comm by the Telemundo crew epl schedule tomorrow for the first time. Life, for me, is more complicated with Peacock streaming more of the big games. Do the brave thing everyone and cancel Peacock! Then they will blog epl schedule tomorrow implement a scheeule model.

sorry for the slow responses!
it’s been a rough few weeks for me and I’ve been getting lazy at answering asks so they started piling up a.lkgjalkgj Responses are under the cut to save you guys the walls of text!
Anonymous said: Okay but instead of an arm or an eye, Lance loses a leg? And Shiro gets a flashback to when he injured Matt's leg at the arena but this time, instead of a really bad injury, a whole leg is gone; and now Shiro's instantly at Lance's side and then Lance passes out from the blood loss and Shiro accidentally calls Lance "Matt". Like he would probably be all, "Matt! Stay with me! MATT!!!"
suddenly this AU has a hint of Shatt I LIKE IT-- but omg pls save lance his limbs i beg of u
grelhou said: hi, i know you might get this a lot, but your art is exquisite!!! i mean, do you know that one post that says "PICASSO WHO!!! EAT UR HEART OUT MICHAELANGELO !!!" and similar things representing your reactions everytime your mutuals draw anything? that's actually me everytime i see literally everything you draw!!! it's just so AMAZING, i can't even describe it in words! sorry for my english, but i needed to let you know this! have a nice day :D
Ehhh ahhh thank you so much ;alkjg;adlgj Honestly i’ve never heard of such a post but thanks o)-< And your english is perfect no worries!
Anonymous said: Personally - with regards to who bottoms in Klance - I've seen it go 50/50 in fanfiction so I never quite understand whenever I see people complain about never seeing one or the other because there's plenty if you know how to look for it. Then again I also read an ungodly amount of fanfic...
I think in terms of fanfics yeah i see it go 50/50 but in comparison i only read like a handful of fics because i read real slow so... i wouldn’t know 😂  I don’t think i see a lot of Lance/Keith artwork though, but then again i never really go out of my way to look for it.
Anonymous said: I know that you like bottom!Lance but what are your feelings on Bottom!Keith? Like can you read fanfiction with Bottom!Keith or you really not like it that much? I myself like both but I was curious about your opinion.
I’ve read lots of fanfics with bottom Keith! Tbh i don’t think i came across a rendition of keith bottoming that i didn’t like but sometimes i get wary of either of them getting too ooc or something... But in terms of who bottoms and tops in a relationship standpoint i like both! I like to imagine them do stupid things to determine who goes first like make bets and shit.
Anonymous said: Lance is blue, blue in the near time is ao no exorcist kyoto arc. So do you watch or read AnE? if yes, who's your fav character (s)?
YES i used to love LOVE ao no ex around the time when the first series came out. I read the manga up to a point before i lost my place but i’m really looking forward to seeing the kyoto arc animated o)-< My favorites are Rin and Shima! I loved Shima before [spoiler] but after [spoiler] i’m just o<-< I guess i really do love the asshole types.
Anonymous said: Have you heard of the Voltron Big Bang? I'm just curious whether you're interested in joining because I love seeing your art!
Oh yes i have! i think someone linked to me before but... unfortunately i have personal project i want to work on so i won’t have time for it.
Anonymous said: *screaming to the galazy and beyond* second seasoooon!!! (I definitely did not pause and thinks a lot of time why there're two shirtless people in the trailer)
s2 is already out and oh boy i have some thoughts
yuujinjou said: Omg everyone looks so great in hanbok ₍₍ (̨̡ ‾᷄♡‾᷅ )̧̢ ₎₎✨✨✨✨. Happy New Year to you too
THANK YOU!!
Anonymous said: OMG I LOVE YOU SOO MUCH!!! YOUR HANBOK VOLTRON MAKES THIS KOREAN CHILD HAPPY!!! 사랑해요~
AHHHH YOU’RE WELCOME!! I’m happy to make a fellow korean happy with my hanbok art///////
Anonymous said: HI! I'm the anon asking about Shay and Nyma. Anyways, about Shay, I can possibly see her in the medical team as well! And about Nyma and Roco, pilots would be a nice fit for them! Would they be working along Voltron if that's the case? Like flying the team to their destinations?
Hey there again!! Shay in the medic team or search and rescue would be best i think :) but in that case she probably wouldn’t be working that closely with team Voltron. Nyma and Rolo tho yes! They would be in charge of transporting teams to their mission locations-- if it calls for it.
Anonymous said: Hi! I would like to say that ur art is super gorgeous. I found ur blog b/c of Voltron (*fangirls*) and I love all of ur art and style and I could go on but I am not trying to take up ur time. Um, I have two questions: I am a person who loves drawing but I am not talented. I am very u taleneted and I feel so discouraged b/c why on Earth am I drawing if I am sucky at it... help? 1/2 - 2/2 The other thing(plz don't kill me)... I don't romantically ship anyone in Voltron(yet) and I feel like all shippers and fans would have my head if I feel like that and it makes me almost afraid of the Voltron fandom(but I love this show>_<) so... help? Ik my questions are dumb; I am sorry. Happier note: THANKS FOR SHARING UR AMAZINF SKILLS WITH THE WORLD!╰(*´︶`*)╯♡
Hi anon!! Thank you so much T T To be frank, i think your desire to draw should be fueled by how much enjoyment you get out of drawing. And if you feel that you need to improve, then always keep practicing! I don’t think it’s possible to get worse just by practicing, so there’s only one direction you can go.  LOL hey to each their own. I think first and foremost people should enjoy Voltron for its story and characters, because that’s all that really matters. Shipping and fandom stuff can come later. I don’t know why anyone would hate you for not shipping anyone? I doubt anyone cares. Pats you though THANK YOU
Anonymous said: Hey!! I think your art is absolutely gorgeous; I aspire to draw like u one day. May I use ur art as profile pic or/and wallpaper?
Thank you so much! Keep drawing anon! :D And sure of course! Credit to my blog would be highly appreciated
Anonymous said: I always thought being the bottom was cool (way cuter and they get to control the top ) haven't people heard of power bottoms before? Lance is a power bottom if you ask me, he bottoms but dam son he's still cool and in charge XP
to tell you the truth i haven’t read a lot of good power bottom fics ever... in my life.. LMAO but yes power bottoms are great :)
Anonymous said: I've been trying to find your Twitter, and I'm having issues. So quick question, what's your Twitter?

Eurogamer readers’ top 50 games of 2019 • Eurogamer.net
2019 is nearly done, and to put a ribbon on it all we present to you the Eurogamer reader’s top 50 games of the year. Thank you all for your contributions, and for proving once again you’ve all got better taste in gaming than us. Although I’m not quite sure about your take on Fallen Order… Enjoy!
50. Wreckfest
What we said: “A simple no-frills game that’s more Destruction Derby than Flatout, evoking a different era for the racing genre with its no-nonsense approach. Unassuming it may be, but it’s also absolutely wonderful, a knockabout racer that sticks to what Bugbear does best; this is all about cars lunching one another in a variety of events that are tuned towards maximum carnage, and as ever there’s a cathartic joy to be found in seeing fields of pre-loved machinery crumble at your fingertips.”
“Best racing game in years,” writes merf. “More fun than Forza and Gran Turismo and makes every everything Codemasters turn out look pish. Looks amazing, handles like a dream, excellent AI opponents, great post release support, a tuning system that makes sense and a physics system that feels like it needed next generation power to make possible.” Which is all well and good, but they go on to diss Fast & Furious and I’M NOT HAVING THAT.
“One of the best racers of the generation,” says kalel-ofkrypton, “and reminiscent of the favoured racers of previous gens.”
49. Greedfall
What we said: “GreedFall has more than its fair share of faults, and its curious mix of the sweet and the sour is far from a roleplaying revelation. But the elements that matter have been imbued with such love and care – so much so that I quickly forgave this ambitious RPG its shortcomings.”
“Spiders best yet,” says jbumi in what may be damnation with faint praise. “I was thrilled that I was able to get the ending I was aiming for.” “
nicfaz keeps it nice and simple, meanwhile. “Need more like this pls.”
48. Rage 2
What we said: “In its desperation to be edgy and in-your-face, this sequel sometimes falls just as flat as its predecessor, the copious neon pink daubings incapable of concealing its bland, repetitive wasteland and elevate this open-world shooter above its siblings of a similar ilk. But in its quieter moments – usually away from the Goon Squad scrum – you might find glimmers of surprisingly sophisticated storytelling, perhaps hidden in the lines of a datapad, or conveyed by a nameless NPC.”
“The guns are amazing,” says robozot, which says all that needs to be said really.
formulaic had more to say, though: “For the gunplay and the vibrant neon painted world this might be my game of the year, but it got tiring driving round a desert world that largely didn’t live up to the set pieces and enclosed areas within it.”
“A wholly enjoyable slice of post apocalyptic shooty mayhem in a Day-Glo world,” says FortySixerUK. “Hyper violent and fun.” And what more could you really ask for?
47. Sayonara Wild Hearts
youtube
What we said: “Sayonara Wild Hearts is such a simple thing but also such a complex thing, such a heartfelt thing. And so dense! Its exuberance is precision, its chaos is sheer choreography. It can reference Panzer Dragoon, Jet Set Radio, Dyad and Thumper while remaining entirely coherent, entirely itself.”
“Sayonara Wild Hearts is 2019’s best pop album game,” writes Dogatella_Verpoochie, and I entirely agree. “It’s a blast to play and listen to.”
46. Halo: The Master Chief Collection (PC)
A belated PC release, topped off with the addition of Reach late in the year which Digital Foundry got stuck into: “it really needs to be better – the legacy of Halo, the quality of Reach itself and the potential from a remaster practically demands it. Preserving games for the future – especially on PC – means replicating them as they were in all the places where it matters, while improving them at the same time based on the scalability of today’s hardware and beyond. Perhaps this may sound overly harsh in some respects, but this is the Halo remaster that will persist for years or even decades to come – and while the foundation is solid overall, there are clearly issues here that need attention.”
“A return to the glory days of gaming when you and your mates actually had time to waste,” says GuiltySpark.
“I hadn’t played a Halo since Reach way back when, so I was curious to see if I would still love them as much as I did,” says Spiderland. “And I did! Particularly Reach, which for one reason or another, I had forgotten everthing about. I feel Reach was the product of a team who had really honed their craft, which makes me ponder all the more as to what Bungie’s Halo 4 would have been like.”
45. Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the Necrodancer
What we said: “Cadence is better than great. It’s an authentic banger, frankly – a Zelda game to be savoured. It’s surprising and strange and funny and sad and thrilling. And when it’s over, the game that lives on in your memory really feels like Zelda.”
“Remaking Link’s Awakening was a great success for Nintendo but in the same year Zelda got its greatest spinoff yet,” says wez_316. The original Necrodancer was fun but tough. Cadence was fun but easy. For me that suits rhythm gameplay a lot more as it can be hard to stay in that zone. Now make me an easier Metroid themed adaption of Enter The Gungeon and take my money.”
44. Life is Strange 2
What we said: ” I was left feeling the loss of these two characters as people I had spent the past year checking in on and helping to guide. Like Sean, I felt, I had done all I could to help Daniel – and the brothers’ story finished in a place which felt truthful to them and the story path I took. It was beautiful while it lasted.”
A popular follow-up, though most of you kept to yourself precisely why it got your vote. Dalek5000 had this, though – “The most compelling new game I’ve played this year.”
43. Divinity Original Sin 2 (Switch)
What we said: “Divinity Original Sin 2 on Switch is another ‘impossible port’ made real, thanks to a lot of careful design choices. Flawed as it is, I’m glad this exists, and it’s uncontested as a handheld take on the game. Add in the online save sharing and it’s a very big deal for fans of the desktop experience..”
“I have not played the Switch version…” says vaskis. You cheat! “I played it on my Mac, but it is such an extensive and well polished gem of a CRPG, that it really deserves to be awarded some more awards.”
“I have this on Xbox also but I found it easier to get into on the Switch,” says nee5on, who at least played on the right format. “Second time playing has been so much fun as I now have a feeling for what I’m supposed to be doing. Starting to find the complexity thrilling and liberating. It is a genre of game I’ve always thought I would enjoy if I could get past the learning curve and having been playing games since the early 80s – I feel like I’m finally there.”
42. Yoshi’s Crafted World
What we said: “Yoshi’s Crafted World is a fine achievement. It’s a scrolling platformer with an abundance of style and imagination, and a pleasingly laid-back adventure with an ocean of depth to explore. It is, first and foremost, a work born of mastery and a keen attention to detail. This is a game of impeccable, readily appreciable craft.”
“Is Yoshi about to become the new Kirby in the best way possible?” asks simplymod. “Fair enough, Yoshi’s appearances as the main character are quite a few games shy of what Kirby can offer, but Crafted World is true to the Yoshi Feeling (twentysomething years after Super Mario World 2), brings a new art style to the table, relies on what works but is brave enough to try something new.”
41. Return of the Obra Dinn (Console)
The second appearance in as many years on our list as Obra Dinn came to console, but this is surely a treasure worth returning to: “It is a joy to poke around as the game slowly opens up new spaces. It is a pleasure – and a very harmonious pleasure – to come to an understanding of how different parts of the ship slot together, where people sleep, where they work, where they gather for a game of cards. That powdery white line that draws this bleak world is surprisingly adept at giving a sense of the material reality of the ship – razor sharp on the rarely-used stairs you use to climb aboard, breaking into radar-like speckles when ghosting an outline of waves into life. As your clues mount up and the images in the book become less and less fuzzy, so the world comes into focus. You are not just exploring a place, you are slowly getting a sense for it. What an astonishing game. What an incredible piece of work.”
“The lack of hand holding made this a challenge,” writes Lucidmatt, lucidly, “but the pay off was exceptional.”
“Never got to play it on PC, but it was worth the wait,” says disintegration7. “Totally unique gameplay and artistic style, plus a giant squid!!!” Er, spoilers mate..
40. Blood and Truth
What we said: “It all adds up to a game that is surprisingly charming. Certainly more charming than anything the actual High Ritchieverse has ever mustered. There is a sense of silliness to Blood & Truth that loves the idiotic family drama at the center of the story, that understands that VR is at times a very clumsy business so you’re going to accidentally shoot the person you’re meant to be talking to or shoot yourself in the groin while you’re trying to put your gun away.”
“Runner up for best VR of the year,” says dbvapor. “Sorry, but Ace Combat 7’s VR mode is just that good. Excellent game though, and I look forward to the next one! Reload!”
“This is the sort of polished ‘big game’ I had been waiting for from PSVR,” adds Stepharneo.
39. Kingdom Hearts 3
What we said: “Here’s the thing. Kingdom Hearts should be right up my street: I love Disney, I have a reasonable tolerance for the idiosyncrasies of your typical JRPG, and I enjoyed the second game and Birth By Sleep. I fell hard for the weaponised nostalgia of The Force Awakens and Mary Poppins Returns. So this should really be an open goal. And yet, Yoko Shimomura’s impeccable score notwithstanding (those yearning oboes of the Twilight Town theme always set me off), I remained dry-eyed throughout.”
“A game stuck in development hell that actually turned out quite well,” writes XanderXAJ. “Amazing animation that somehow often matches that of extremely-high budget CG animation — and in real time, too! It also has an amazing soundtrack – and one I had the pleasure of experiencing live at a World of Tres concert earlier this year.”
“It’s one of two games from this year I’ve really bothered to give a go,” says Solegor. “Not because there are terrible games this year, but because I’m still clearing my backlog. While KH3 is far from perfect, it’s still gorgeous to look at and at least it tries to tie up the convoluted storylines from the previous games.”
“Honestly,” says agrippA1, “the wait was worth it just for the Big Hero 6 world.”
38. The Witcher 3 (Switch)
youtube
What we said: “Overall, Saber and CDPR hit an impressive bar of quality here. Clearly, performance can vary, but on balance it holds 30ps more often than I expected. The Witcher 3 Complete Edition pruned back everything it can to be playable, while still somehow retaining a lot of its best visual features. Graphical points like reflections, light shafts, water physics, and even a high NPC count are incredible to see on a handheld. This is close to perfection.”
“Unfortunately, despite big releases such as Gears 5, Pokemon Sword, Jedi Fallen Order and many more, nothing truly gripped me this year,” says Dalek5000. “I’ve found myself yet again immersed into the world of The Witcher 3, despite the graphical downgrade. Commuting has never been so fun!”
“I don’t even own a Switch but this is the game of the year every year it is released,” says Rodimus Prime. Heretic! And honestly, treat yourself to one. They’re rather good.
37. The Division 2
What we said: “From start to finish, The Division 2 pulls in these bits of American history with unwavering earnesty and yet manages to say absolutely nothing. Worse, it goes out of its way to say nothing. The result is that the only real message The Division 2 manages to impart is that guns will keep you safe. Despite the advertising campaign this is not a game about saving the soul of America, it’s a game about the good guys with guns taking what they want from the bad guys with guns. A shame, because if you can look past the vacuity and the slapdash politicisation of The Division 2, there’s a great game to be enjoyed here – even if you’ll never quite escape the sense that it’s a thunderingly dumb one.”
“If I didn’t have a friend, probably not,” admits groovychainsaw. “But with a buddy this is some of the best coop shooting you can get. A superb engine, great graphics and great moment to moment shooting. Expanded well to give you plenty to do after the end, unlike many of its rivals.”
“Awesome experience with an end game that kept giving,” adds Big-Swiss.
“It’s not only one of the best Ubisoft games of the past few years but successfully built on the foundations of the first game,” says gabortoth. “Bigger, better in every way, it’s an excellent looter-shooter-RPG that seemingly never ends. Outstanding gunplay, cover system and RPG elements make this one of the best experiences for me in 2019.”
“Flawed, unfinished, and absolutely fantastic,” says atropos as they strike a more cautious note. “It’s a shame The Division 2 didn’t just build on what the original The Division had become after many, many updates (thoroughly excellent), but this was still the most time I spent in an MMO this year.”
36. Monster Hunter World: Iceborne
To our eternal shame, we weren’t able to play enough of Iceborne to provide a review, though we did enjoy what we saw: “Iceborne, with its stubborn challenges, can feel like it’s pitched more towards those expert players, but the joy of Monster Hunter – now, as ever – is how it embraces all playstyles, whether you’re thrashing about with dual blades or keeping a watching brief with a bowgun. Or, whether you’re veteran who wants to solo some of the biggest, baddest monsters, or a scrub like myself who’s happy to wade in the shallows and simply enjoy the spectacle. Iceborne does a decent job of catering to both, and there’s enough there to satisfy all corners of Monster Hunter World’s 13 million strong audience. So, don’t be put off by Iceborne – in truth, there’s never been a better time to get into Monster Hunter.”
“Every time I think that the series has peaked and can’t get any better, Ryuji Tsujimoto and his merry crew manage to tweak and improve the formula,” says XanderXAJ. “350 more hours in this expansion pack so far are testament to how well-honed the mechanics are — and how hooked I am. Capcom have had one hell of a year.”
“Monster Hunter has evolved into a free flowing beast of a game,” says Mechakabukizero. “I still love the older games in the series but l find it tough to go back after the greatness which is Monster Hunter World.”
“Improves upon the base game in so many ways,” says Aporca. “It adds a wealth of new content which is both a challenge and a joy to play. The one game I keep coming back to.”
35. Dragon Quest Builders 2
What we said: “The series’ sense of adventure, of pushing forward into new lands to make new discoveries and to unearth the warmth and character that’s always been at the series’ heart, is re-emphasised. It’s a wonderful thing, really, and the most fun I’ve had with a Dragon Quest game in years..”
“Being a jaded old fart whose gaming pedigree dates back to the early Vic20 days, I was delighted to find this recaptured some of the wonder and magic I felt with new worlds as a kid,” says Matnee. “That’s something to be cherished these days.” Ain’t that the truth.
“Everything I love about Minecraft, with none of the crippling, overwhelming, anxiety,” adds logicub. “This game is what defined my other choices, I spent so much time building up my Isle of Awakening that I haven’t played half as many games this year as I normally would.”
34. Final Fantasy 14: Shadowbringers
What we said: Well, not enough really as Final Fantasy 14’s a title we’ve struggled to cover properly. Sorry!
Thankfully you lot know your stuff. Like Gamblix here: “I have played Final Fantasy XIV since the late days of A Realm Reborn and seeing this game from strength to strength is so heartwarming, considering the games awful 1.0 launch. Shadowbringers is without a doubt, one of the best MMO expansions EVER and one of the best JRPG stories in modern video games. Anyone who has a remote interest in Final Fantasy should play this. It is near perfection in storytelling.” God, we really should play it, shouldn’t we?
33. Dirt Rally 2.0
What we said: “Dirt Rally 2.0 is part of the new Codemasters – the one that brought us the equally brilliant F1 2018 – that indulges its passion for motorsport. It’s deep, involving and crafted with love, and you can’t help but love it back in turn. The original Dirt Rally made a convincing claim at being the best off-road sim to date. I think its sequel can lay claim to being one of the best driving experiences available right now.”
“Well… it’s an improved Dirt Rally,” says DrStrangelove, keeping things to the point. “How much more praise do you need?”
“The best, better,” says hypobla5t. “Compulsive genius.”
32. Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown
What we said: “Ace Combat 7 is the real deal with a perfect blend of new and classic ideas packed into a cohesive, highly replayable package. There aren’t many games quite like this being released today so whether you’re a returning fan that has missed the classic series or a newcomer looking for something a little different, it’s an absolute must-play.”
“Ace Combat 7 is such a pure game,” says mickjohnson. “It’s action, it’s mayhem, it’s a crazy storyline, with fantastic music, and it’s beautifully delivered in a way that seems elusive to other developers. Add in some brief (but excellent) PSVR support and you’ve got my #1 game of this year.”
“Tragically underrated,” says AgrippA1. “It’s exactly what you would expect from an Ace Combat game and the VR bit was excellent.”
31. Destiny 2: Shadowkeep
youtube
What we said: Nothing. Look, we got the hint – we might have written enough already over the past few years about Destiny.
“The amount of time I’ve put into Destiny 2 since picking it back up in August doesn’t let me choose anything else, honestly,” says SnikrepJ. “It’s spectacular if you enjoy the whole shared world looter shooter MMORPG – not without its flaws, but what is these days?”
30. Super Mario Maker 2
What we said: “Years ago I read the only writing advice that I suspect anybody really needs. Type something, it ran, because then you have something to change. William Goldman said that, I think, and he would have been very at home with Mario Maker. Everyone would be at home here, I suspect. Like the first game, this is a warm bubble bath to settle into, or an afternoon on the sofa with the Sunday papers and nothing else in the diary. Has it changed? Not too much. But it is wonderfully soothing to have it back.”
“It is Mario Bros on the Nintendo Switch and you can design and share your own levels!” says Beatleben. “What else can you say?”
“The game I’ve played more than any other this year,” says EvilAspirin. “Endless Mario levels. What’s not to love?” Exactly!
29. Dragon Quest 11 S
What we said: “Is this the best Dragon Quest? Some people believe so, and I can understand why – it’s where the character, charm and colour that make this series so beloved are at their most vivid. Personally I’m not so sure, and even after the improvements made for this edition I wish Dragon Quest 11 could find a little more space for its players, though there’s no denying the eloquence of its craft, or the vastness of its scope. In terms of scale and spectacle, this is as grand an adventure you’ll find on the Nintendo Switch this side of Breath of the Wild.”
“I almost stuck it out until the final boss (before I got distracted by other games; I will return), and that is more than I can say for 99% of JRPGs…” That’s the Romeric verdict.
“Unbelievably conventional but undeniably beautifully polished. Video game comfort food – like eating a buttery hot cross bun on a gloomy, wet, winter’s evening.” Captain_T_Dawg paints a nice picture there.
28. Pokmon Sword and Shield
What we said: “Sword and Shield’s Wild Area is desperately flat. There will undoubtedly be a moment of shivers, if you’re a long-term fan, when you first see Pokmon roaming the world and you finally get to gaze around that space yourself. But that moment will wear off when you realise you’ve already seen it all. And it’ll fade from memory entirely when you inevitably hop back on the rails from which you have just at last broken free. What is intended as a great, Breath of the Wild step forward quickly turns to two giant leaps back, and with these games that sad irony is everywhere. Pokmon Sword and Shield project a sense of scale and ambition far beyond any previous ones in the series, but to take it back to those gargantuan new Dynamax forms, the size is merely a shadow. A shallow projection, in place of the real thing.”
Logicub – is that a Pokmon? – says: “Pokemon games are not made purely for the long-term fans. They’re made for everybody. If you can just remember that, then this is a thoroughly enjoyable romp through a Britain that’s better than the real one right now.”
Lukazor – is that a Pokmon? – says: “I hadn’t played a main line Pokemon game in years so I was extremely excited to play Sword/Shield and they didn’t disappoint! Extremely addictive, the new Pokemon are great and the wild area is a great addition. Loved every minute of the main story and now on the hunt to complete the Pokedex.”
27. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night
What we said: “It took more time to get here than we’d originally expected, granted, but Igarashi sure did deliver in the end.
“I backed this and, despite choosing the Switch version, had a good time with it,” says HKT3030.
“A joy to play,” agrees Navi. “Unapologetically a modern update to Castlevania, full of all the lovely little touches you’d expect from a well crafted 2D game.”
26. Red Dead Redemption 2 (PC)
Developer: Rockstar
Mods!
What we said: I bet we said something about horses and hats and I bet we ended by saying, “Saddle up, pardner!” That would be just like us.
“Eeeeeee ha.,” says Karmazyn. I hear you. Pardner.
“A magnificently lush, varied and gritty open world,” says Subquest. “A compelling story and highly enjoyable gameplay. Graphically an astonishing technical achievement. Rockstar’s finest hour.” Steady on (pardner). You do know these guys also made a Table Tennis game right?
25. Shenmue 3
What we said: “And all these years later, it makes for an entry that, as unlikely as it is, is more finessed and fully-featured than the first two games. A more astute critic might point out that the performances are uneven, the character models sometimes look wayward, you’re kind of limited as to what you can do and nothing of note really happens. That’s not me, I’m afraid. Yes, Shenmue 3 can look and play like a Dreamcast game. But it looks and plays like a Dreamcast game that’s as off-kilter, maddening, magical and majestic as the Shenmue and its sequel, both all-time classics. I think there’s good reason to rejoice in that.”
“18 years of waiting came to an end. Shenmue 3 is everything the fans could have ever expected, and probably very close to Yu Suzuki’s original vision for the game.” Ta, Hansliengnell1!
24. A Plague Tale: Innocence
youtube
What we said: “The great shock of Plague Tale is that on some level, it’s a Gears of War game. The more obvious comparison is The Last of Us, another poignant, apocalyptic escapade in which an older character guides a more innocent soul whose blood is touched by destiny, but in practice, and for all the absence of chainsaws, it’s often Epic’s game that comes to mind. It’s there in the tanky handling, with characters swivelling ponderously as though secretly many times their own size. It’s there in the sense of a historical backdrop (the Sera of Gears is a pastiche of familiar architectural traditions) being softly consumed by the supernatural: the darkness alive with eyeshine, the twisted, bony black rot the rats leave behind them, the alchemical motifs that gradually become the plot’s crucible. But above all, it’s a question of framing. As in Gears, you spend most chapters wending your way towards some distant landmark, a brooding structure such as a windmill that is teed up for you with a context-sensitive look command, then tugged into and out of view by the intervening geography. It lends each stage of Amicia and Hugo’s journey a powerful inexorability, for all the trail-and-error process of bamboozling soldiers – as though you were being drawn through its world by gravity towards a procession of massive objects. It’s worth giving into the pull. Just don’t forget to look for the flowers.”
“Very underrated title this year,” says Europsnfan70. “Absolutely beautiful and features one of the best stories this year. More people need to be playing this one.”
“Atmospheric, dark wonders,” says King_Of_Shovels.
23. Baba is You
What we said: “Baba is You is a game about how sentences work that is also, inevitably, a game about how thinking works too. How could it not be, really?”
Pjotroos here: “Can’t remember the last time any game made me feel this stupid. The core concept is spectacular. Some early puzzles made me laugh out loud in joy, once the solution clicked. But the amount of creative thinking it requires to deal with the later levels is genuinely intimidating. I’ve lost the count of times when I was sure I was thinking outside the box, only to realise I merely got myself stuck in a slightly larger box for another half hour, once the solution finally, finally clicked in. I haven’t finished it. I doubt I ever will. But I still have to respect the raw creativity on display.”
22. Metro Exodus
What we said: “We need more experiences like Metro Exodus that know how to resist empty bloodshed and kindle such closeness, finding the warmth in the wasteland.”
“Incredibly immersive and beautiful,” said Ivanbasov, one of only a few comments on Metro Exodus. Instead, I’ll tell you that lots of people who liked this also liked Slay the Spire.
21. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
What we said: “There’s a tinge of disappointment here with Modern Warfare at launch. I’m playing it in the hope that what is soon to come will pull all the right levers in all the right directions, turning this good Call of Duty into a great one. And there’s plenty waiting in the wings: Modern Warfare’s battle pass, which Activision has said will come in free and premium forms, will hopefully fuel progression in a post-prestige world. More, better-fitting multiplayer maps are essential (Infinity Ward pulled the night vision MP maps shortly after the game launched and at the time of publication, they have yet to return). And then there’s the inevitable battle royale. Undoubtedly, there’s an exciting potential to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Until that potential is realised, though, Modern Warfare remains a shooter that is at odds with itself. When it’s good, it’s great. When it’s bad it’s frustrating. Everything in between is, well, Call of Duty.”
Lots of people voted for COD, but almost nobody wrote anything about it. Here’s Phinor, who is always reliable! “A good soundtrack can lift a four star movie up to five stars and the same principle applies to games. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare did that by adding much needed oomph to gun sounds. Add the best new multiplayer game mode since forever with 2vs2 Gunfight and you have the tightest Call of Duty package since, well, Modern Warfare (the original).”
20. Days Gone
What we said: “I wasn’t expecting Days Gone to add anything new to the genre, but both in terms of its systems and its story it’s uninspired, which is driven home by the fact that it’s endlessly, needlessly long. I’m begging you, haven’t we done this enough?”
“Better than expected,” says HungaryGrowler.
“Beautiful open world game with a compelling story and characters you actually care for. Genuine heart-racing moments when freakers pour down upon your position,” says Mustabuster.
19. Borderlands 3
What we said: “You’ll likely have seen – or even experienced for yourself by now – that Borderlands 3 is everything Vault Hunters loved about its predecessors. It’s hard to imagine how, technical issues aside, existing fans could not find more to love about this latest iteration, but that could also be said for fans who didn’t like its predecessors. But whether you believe it’s giving the fans what they want or a dazzling lack of ambition – evolution or revolution, in other words – Borderlands may be polarising, but it’s back nonetheless: bigger, better, and more unapologetic than ever.”
“Whilst the new protagonists couldn’t hold a torch to Handsome Jack (very few can in any game), it was a joy to play and felt continually rewarding,” says Bigworv.
“Loot and shoot. Humour.” That’s the Clockworkzombie verdict.
18. Devil May Cry 5
youtube
What we said: “Is it the measure of the action titles that come out of that other studio in Osaka? At times it feels a little too retrograde to be the best in class, but I’m certain it’s the best Devil May Cry there’s been yet – which is still quite the claim to be able to make. This is a more vintage type of action, though that ends up serving Devil May Cry 5 incredibly well. Style like this never really goes out of fashion, after all.”
Navi has nailed this: “Dante has a silly beard, Nero’s arm now explodes and V reads poetry while demons fight each other. What’s not to love!” When I read that I can’t help but imagine it as the starting crawl for a Star Wars movie.
17. Slay the Spire
What we said: “In the end, I’m an optimist, so I went with the donut.”
OllyJ is taking us on a journey: “So, in 2019 I’ve discovered board games. From Splendor to Cosmic Encounter, I’ve been blown away by the feel of playing a board game. I’d never have played a game like this otherwise, and I’m so glad I did because my Switch has basically turned into a Slay the Spire machine. That’s now its only function, a 250 console that plays what is essentially a card game. I’m cool with that.”
Jaz666: “Meant that I enjoyed my 19hr holiday flight. Almost as much as my holiday…”
16. Astral Chain
youtube
What we said: “There’s more – there is so, so much more – to the point where Astral Chain can be dizzying in its depths. Combat boasts so many moving parts that it’s easy to become flustered, so it’s almost a relief to find it supports an easy ‘Unchained’ mode whereby much is automated. Is it sacrilege to play a Platinum game that way? Maybe, but I welcome the option to unlock Astral Chain’s spectacle to all, and it helps remove some of the frictions that might have scared some players off the studio’s previous work.”
Break it down Quizmos: “PlatinumGames at its finest once again proving they are hard to beat when it comes to fast paced action with a unique twist!” Testify!
“All hail Lappy!” says FanBoysSuck.
15. Gears 5
What we said: “Will Gears 5 rekindle Gears of War’s glory days on Xbox 360? I doubt it. But The Coalition has finally stamped its personality on the series, even if it’s taken a few missteps along the way. Gears 5’s campaign reminded me just how much I love a good Gears of War campaign. I’m not trying too hard. Gears isn’t trying too hard. We’re holding hands, safe in the collective knowledge we’re in this together, and it’s going to be one hell of a ride.”
“Again, didn’t play it (still need to get through Gears 4), but I’ve played through two of the originals in the franchise, and this game is optimized well enough I very much look forward to hitting it on PC.” BudTheCyborg, I’m not sure you really get the whole concept here.
14. Tetris 99
What we said: “It’s a phenomenal thing, pretty much justifying the cost of a Nintendo Online subscription in one fell swoop, and I dare think of the number of hours I’m going to end up putting in over the course of the year.”
“Counting the DLC as part of the overall, this is the perfect update to Tetris. The increasing tension throughout the multiplayer and the euphoria of a win (or top 10 finish for less good players like me) just add to the game’s just one more go draw.” That was Reverandglass and they’re right, aren’t they?
13. Untitled Goose Game
youtube
What we said: “Untitled Goose Game started as a joke in House House’s Slack channel, and it’s astounding how much mileage they’ve found in the gag. This is slapstick – the ultimate form of humour – and it’s slapstick of the highest order. There’s something quite classical about how its slapstick expresses itself, and how beautifully engineered it is, that makes Untitled Goose Game really stand out – if Goat Simulator is an old Farrelly Bros. film, then Untitled Goose Game is as refined and stylish as a Jacques Tati standard. It’s a perfectly formed little troublemaker.”
“Quirky, fun, endlessly meme-able. I pick UGG more for the impact it had on this year than for the game itself. We need more games like this and less loot box, microtransaction, bleed you dry games please.” Reverandglass there with a bit of a sermon.
“Fun concept,” says Watershed.
12. The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening
What we said: “I first played Link’s Awakening in black and white, more than 20 years ago, but it coloured my hopes for every Zelda since. Some frame-rate issues on the overworld at launch aside – more an annoyance than anything else – this version surpasses the hopes I had for another visit to its world. Koholint Island deserves nothing less, and while Link must journey to leave its shores, this remake will always be a place which preserves the island for others to follow.”
“Perfectly remade, this time I finally finished it unlike when I was a kid, and the music is sublime” says Foxxlet.
“Just wonderful in every possible way,” says The_jinks.
11. Apex Legends
What Martin said: “There’s opportunism here too, of course, but Apex Legends feels like something else; laser-sighted, deeply considered and incredibly smart, it’s the kind of thing you’d imagine Nintendo might come up with if ever they set their minds to a battle royale. The real test will come in where Respawn can take Apex Legends, and how it evolves as a live service – something that publisher EA has struggled with in the past with its first-person shooters. But after a few hours with this impeccably crafted battle royale, the one overriding feeling I’m left with is keen anticipation to see where Apex Legends heads next.”
“300+ hours in and I’m still utterly addicted,” says Jonny5Alive7. “The game lengths are perfect to hook you in and the regular content updates keep it varied.”
10. Luigi’s Mansion 3
What we said: “Part of me still yearns for those dusty carpets of the first Luigi’s Mansion – the near pitch black corridors, the fumbling around in the dark. This third entry, by contrast, feels more like Luigi has left the haunted house and gained free reign around the neighbouring theme park. But what a theme park. It’s left me excited to see where the series goes next.”
“This year’s best Third Person Sucker!” says EpcotMan, minting a genre that I’m not sure we’ll be allowing. “An intricately detailed fun house that reminds you of how many playful ideas Nintendo can cram into a game. Inventive, surprising and surprisingly funny. “
“Suck it,” says Clockworkzombie.
9. Disco Elysium
What we said: “One character and one story may contain multitudes, but Disco Elysium has pushed that idea to extremes, making me a flippant macho and above all a weirdo who stands for nothing. Once the novelty wears off, I feel like I’m playing a game that insistently wants to prove to me how smart it is, and that, above anything, is just really tiring.”
KDR_11k says: “The term CRPG doesn’t really describe what Disco Elysium is. It’s a game about talking and investigating. And it does talking really, really well. ” What else? “I’ve saved the world countless times in many different games over the years, but very few of these will I remember as fondly as singing karaoke in the Whirling in Rags bar in Disco Elysium.” says Nafter.
8. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
What we said: “The annoying thing is, for the first ten hours or so, I absolutely adored Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.”
“EA should’ve made this game five years ago. It’s definitely one of the top ten best Star Wars games ever made,” says Mickjohnson. EA should have mailed it to the Marx Brothers! “Rough around the edges, but the mix of Sekiro and Uncharted with a Star Wars hat on was right up my street. The Sonic the Hedgehog bits can fuck right off though.” That’s HONKHONK. He’s swearing now because he doesn’t see the point in keeping you away from this stuff anymore.
“Was surprised by how good it was,” says UltimateKGB.
7. Fire Emblem: Three Houses
youtube
What we said: “This isn’t the game to bring together fans of the old-spec Fire Emblem and those drawn in by the appeal of the new. There’s a clear divide right through the centre of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and its masterstroke is in bridging the two, the bonds you build away from the battlefield giving each blow taken on it that much more impact. It’s a deeply emotional tactical game, one in which you end up invested in each unit. In that way, it’s true to what’s always made Fire Emblem so special – it’s just that Three Houses expresses itself on a different scale, and a different style. Fire Emblem: Three Houses really is a game of two halves, but they come together to make one incredible whole.”
“Never has a game that disrespected my free time so much, been allowed to take up so much of my time in a bid to get all the endings.” says Gintoki.
“Dating sim and tactical RPG with three distinct factions to choose from. Love it,” says Humey26.
JackdawBlack agrees. “The best TRPG dating sim, not that we have many.”
6. Outer Wilds
What we said: “There’s a twofold joy to Outer Wilds – the thrill of discovery itself, as you slowly decipher the variables that swirl around each not-so-distant world, and of seeing that thrill reflected in a phrase scribbled centuries ago by some castaway alien boffin. It gives the game that feeling of displaced community, of mutual striving across the extinction barrier, you might otherwise associate with the Vigil scene in Mass Effect or feats of translation in the recent, excellent Heaven’s Vault. Moreover, the game’s pint-sized solar system is full of models of itself, from the star lifecycle models you’ll find in your home planet’s observatory, to the holographic sandtray projections and swivelling, Stone Henge-scale orreries left behind by the Nomai. It’s a setting mesmerised by its own intricacies, and it wants you to share in that delight. Whatever their differences on the subject of the apocalypse, I like to think that both Eisinga and Alta would have enjoyed it.”
Revfosco nails it: “I just loved the sense of freedom coupled with a slight sense of panic. Incredibly clever game too – one of those ones that makes you in awe of the writers/developers.”
There is nothing more to say about this one. A classic!
5. The Outer Worlds
youtube
What we said: “I don’t hate The Outer Worlds. Rather, what I hate about it is that it’s sufficiently unhateful that you can spend 30 hours playing it without noticing. It’s solidly-made enough that you keep hanging around in the hope of something more, like a layer of catchy percussion that never quite escalates into a song. I guess to sum things up, I would like two features to be added to the game. One is a powerful suction cannon with infinite extra-dimensional storage, so I can just gather all the loot in one fell swoop. The other is the option to hand off dialogue decisions to one of my companions, because I have no strong feelings either way, comrades. Let me do clean-up in the background, hosing down the level’s crevices with one earbud in, following the conversation absent-mindedly. According to my own character’s backstory as a janitor, that’s exactly the part I was born to play.”
Deadman316 is savage: @What a Bethesda game should be like. The choice directions are limitless, the worlds are varied in colour and activity, and the characters and quests are fun, funny and multidimensional. It’s a mini full-fat RPG we’ve been waiting for.”
“Decent shooting, decent RPG, decent story. Ticks the boxes.” That’s Lonebadger. I saw a lone badger one evening this summer coming home late. I thought it was a fox with a back problem at first, but no: a badger.
4. Control
What we said: “In other words, while it invokes the dark things that lie beneath, Control’s actually a peerless argument for the beauty of the surface. It revels in the peculiarly warm gloss of polished concrete, the simple and undeniable thrill of combat backed up with enthusiastic physics and animation, and the visual buzz of UI that has a stark, minimalist beauty to it. Without any shade of a slight, I would call Control a sort of coffee-table book in terms of its sheer visual flair – but for how dazzling it looks in motion as you wrench individual blocks from a stacked trolley, sending them thudding through the air, as you fling rockets back at the people who fired them at you, amber sparks glinting as they pass in and out of focus and then die away for good.”
Fore-warning: RaphaelR is right! “This game has everything: great style, mood, story, characters, and gameplay. And also the best sequence in a video game this year.” It says a lot that I know what bit they’re talking about.
“One of the most interesting games I’ve played in a long time,” says Switch024. @A fantastic setting that’s brilliantly realised and combat that’s always great fun.” Man, Control was GOOD.
3. Death Stranding
What we said: “As the credits roll on Death Stranding, heavy with unearned pathos, the impression you’re left with is of a self-congratulatory monument to the ego of a creator who is high on his own supply. Has Kojima always been this full of it? Maybe. But then you return to the game proper, select a humble delivery order, lace up your boots and plan another reckoning with those unforgettable, haunted moors. And you realise that this game has got under your skin in a way few do.”
Eugen-fet: “I’ve been waiting for a good Spider-Man game for years. This one delivers.” Ha ha ha! That was from last year’s list. I left it in because it included the word “delivers”. I’m great, me.
“A bonkers masterpiece,” says Monkman76. “Not for everyone but certainly my cup of tea,” says Emeritus. A lot of you said this sort of thing.
2. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
youtube
What we said: “I have no real insight to offer on the symbolism of wolves in Japanese culture and myth, but I think Sekiro may be a different beast. He’s more of a cockroach, getting in everywhere and all but impossible to expunge – the kind of wondrous, abhorrent creature that will be first to the top of the rubble pile as and when civilisation comes crashing down.”
“Great game. Great pacing. Great fighting system” says Ed-exley, who’s not bad at pacing either.
xRiska, we feel your pain: “Finished the whole game before finally learning how to play it on the last boss. 10/10 would bash my head against a wall again.”
EvilAspirin can take this one home: “A game that starts off feeling tough as nails, but becomes actually pretty easy once the parry system clicks. Playing the Samurai and perfectly deflecting multiple blows in epic fights is incredibly satisfying.”
1. Resident Evil 2 Remake
youtube
What we said: “It toes the line between schlocky and scary that the older Resident Evil games managed so well, and does so in perhaps one of the most atmospheric settings ever to grace a survival horror game. It’s good to be back in the RPD.”
“New ‘n’ shiny meets nostalgia to create one of the finest, most atmospheric games to date,” says TheDarkSide. “As soon as I played this all those months ago, it screamed GOTY from every pixel. THIS is how remakes should be done… Hell, this is how games should be done, full stop! Absolutely superb.”
Shotformeat agrees: “It’s a proper game and plays like the era its from in a way that holds up amazingly, but all dressed up in a chunky and satisfying fashion and looks and feels amazing to play. They really don’t make them like this anymore, except when they remake them with this level of care and attention to detail. My favourite game of the year. “
Let’s leave it with El Lawsonoso: “I had zero interest in horror or the Resident Evil franchise until I saw RE2 Remake. The design, the atmosphere, the escape room-style puzzles and the sense of panic when Lickers or Mr X are about are all top notch. Admittedly, the Police Station is a far more interesting environment than the later game, but for this non-horror fan (who probably won’t touch RE3 Remake, because it seems like it’s one big chase sequence that’ll give me anxiety) this is a true GOTY. I think that speaks volumes.”
Wonderful stuff! All done! Happy new year everyone! May it bring you all the very best!

Games of Westeros VIII 40k battle report!
I Have returned! However this is not a X-Wing battle report as I have written before, I stopped playing X-Wing at the start of this year as I was not happy with the state of the game I just lost interest in it. But since I started painting 40k I decided to go for that instead, during this autumn I started playing my first games against friends and really really enjoyed it, so naturally I had to go to a tournament and it was Games of Westeros VIII in Västerås, an 80 player ITC Major. Now I know what you are thinking, a Shadowsword!? Well, I don’t really have any excuse for it other than that I really really like it, I know it’s not super competitive but doing 2d6 damage for every wound that goes through is just really fun! The rest of the list is pretty self explanatory, AdMech battalion for denies and repairs, one gatling tank commander for dealing a bit with hordes, as the rest of my list couldn’t really do that, and I didn’t really need more anti-tank anyway as I had a Shadowsword.
While this list could put out alot of damage what it was lacking was any form of board control, and I knew I was going to be giving up hold more most rounds, but hopefully I could shoot my enemy off the board and win by the end. Going into this tournament I knew I wasn’t bringing the best list but as it was my first tournament I didn’t really mind. My goal going in was to win one game, and I’d be really happy with two. Keep reading to see how it went!
Round 1
Opponent: Christian - Aeldari List: 3x Razorwing, 6x Skyweavers, 3x Talos, 10x Grotesques and a bunch of characters Secondary picks: Gang Busters, Old School, Big Game Hunter
Tumblr media
Christian was part of the 6ROC team, which was the same team that my friend I travelled there was in so I had chatted a bit with him before the event and we got paired for round 1. Looking at his list I really had no idea what would happen as I hadn’t played against Aeldari before, I knew he was gonna flank with planes and move the rest up the centre of the board, lets see how it goes.
We get Search and Destroy deployment so I set all my stuff up in a corner and he sets his stuff up as far forward as he can, I outflank my Demolisher TC
Turn 1: I kill one of his planes with most of my shooting but not much more happens, he kills my skitarii Vanguard.
Turn 2: He moves up and kills both my Tank Commander that were on the board, I bring my Demolisher in and make him fire twice but it completely fails and does no damage to a half health plane, my Shadowsword also does barely any damage to anything, -1 to hit really hurts…
Turn 3: This is when it goes really bad, having not killed nearly enough in the first round he bring basically his entire army into mine, alot of my army dies or gets tied up, in return I do some damage and manage to kill a character at least for the kill point. Basically only my Shadwsword and Demolisher TC are left to do anything at this point.
Turn 4: He puts a whole load of mortal wounds on the Shadowsword and charges it, I use the strat to overwatch on 5s and do decent damage, he ends up killing it in combat, but it explodes! Most of his army is in range at this point so I end up doing alot of damage and killing off a few characters, didn’t matter for the game but I always love a good explosion. My turn 4 the demolisher does a bunch of damage to his multi wound units to at least max my gang busters points
In turn 5 he kills my demolisher and I concede as I couldn’t have gotten any more points
This game was rough, I misjudged how hard the planes were to kill so in hindsight I should have put all my shooting into his melee units, but this was a hard matchup as he had good invulnerable saves on everything and all my high AP didn’t do much. The game was really enjoyable though and as we finished pretty fast we could go grab an early lunch! Loss: 13-38
Round 2
Opponent: Fredrik - Imperial Fists List: 2x Whirlwind, 1x Thunderfire, 6x Centurion Devastator, 6x Intercessor (stalker), 2x Eliminator and some characters. Secondary Picks: Butcher’s Bill, Engineers, Gang Busters
Tumblr media
Another game against a 6ROC member! This time the feared marines, I had played plenty against Raven Guard but not against Imperial Fists but I knew what they could do. Looking at his list I noticed all his scary stuff was 36inch range so I was hoping for a short edge deployment zone, and we got Spearhead Assault! I deployed almost all my stuff in cover and put the Shadowsword so it could see a Whirlwind. I outflank the demolisher and two guard squads.
Turn 1: I kill the Thunderfire with my Basilisks and my tanks pop out and take some potshots onto his infantry and then move back in cover with the Tallarn order. My shadowsword shoots its lascannons and volcano cannon into the Whirlwind it can see but it somehow fails to kill it! This is very unfortunate as it misses me both kill more and a Butcher’s Bill. He kills something in return.
Turn 2: My Demolisher drops in his backline and with the help of the Battle Cannon TC they kill half the Centurions but they roll really well on the return fire with the banner and end up killing the Demolisher in return on his turn. On his turn he moves his centurions a bit further up and brings the Shadowsword down to 7 wounds, he still has very few shots on my other TCs as they keep backing into cover.
Turn 3: The centurions get killed but my Shadowsword gets down to 3 wounds from banner firing, I outflank my guardsmen in his backline, I have no idea why I did this as it just got him kill more. I should have put them down in my backlines instead and just hid them.
Turn 4: Not much happens on this turn, just some back and forth shooting, both of us kill something but neither get Butcher’s
Turn 5: This turn was big for me, he doesn’t manage to kill anything as most of my things are hiding and his scary stuff is mostly dead. I get some kills and get my 3rd Butcher’s Bill point and kill more, at this point my Bullgryn have maxed Engineers too.
Turn 6: I very barely miss my 4th Butcher’s bill point by rolling a 1 on a D3 to kill the last marine in his squad. But he ends up not getting a kill this turn as he just ran everything into hiding to try and deny me points.
So at the end of this match none of us know the result, we just know it’s really close. We count it up and it’s a draw! Very fun game, I definitely got lucky with the deployment zone, but I made some big mistakes too. However this game i really got to see the power of the Tallarn order for Tank Commanders, he very rarely had shots on them as they just popped out and then went back into hiding, and my Enginseers did a great job repairing all the damage they took for overcharging their plasma. Also a draw means i'm guaranteed to not lose every game! Draw: 25-25
Round 3
Opponent: Niklas - Chaos List: Knight Despoiler (2x Gatling), 2x Wardog (Autocannon), 3x Plagueburst, 10x Terminators, Nurgle Daemon Prince and some characters. Secondary Picks: Big Game Hunter, Kingslayer, Engineers
Tumblr media
A knight! Finally something worthy for my Shadowsword to target! This was gonna be a fun game and I felt really good going into it as he basically only had vehicles, and my list deals well with that. We get Front-Line Assault deployment and I spread my things out a bit and Outflank two guard squads and my Demolisher (as usual). I get the +1 to go first, I fail the roll but then I seize! All is right…
Turn 1: Yeah so a Shadowsword is pretty good against knights, but you know when it’s even better? When you can put Vengeance for Cadia on it… Yeah my Shadowsword did 25 damage to his knight turn 1, and he had rotated his shields. He brings it back with a stratagem but then It’s on 1 wound so not really a big threat. The rest of my shooting kills a Plagueburst Crawler and does some damage. His return fire is decent and he managed to kill both basilisks and a vanguard squad that were in the open.
Turn 2: My Arquebus snipers do the first useful thing they have done the whole tournament, one of them rolls a 6 to wound the 1-wound Despoiler so kills it off with a mortal wound, saving me from putting some bigger guns into it. I drop my Demolisher in and it kills another Plagueburst and my other tanks kills a War Dog and the last Plagueburst. I also bring one of my infantry in to try and get the bonus but in his turn he runs the Demon Prince back and charges them. He also drop his terminators in and they shoot some of my Skitarii but fail the charge on some guardsmen.
Turn 3: My demolisher kills the Demon Prince and I kill the remaining War Dog, and start damaging the Terminators but they are (disgustingly) resilient, I charge my Shadowsword into the Terminators to hold them in place, at the end of his turn 3 he had done like 10 damage to the Shadowsword which isn’t too bad.
Turn 4: My Shadowsword back out and I finish off the remaining Terminators
On turn 5 I kill his last guy, but I didn’t know the rule that you get the max 5 points every turn if you table your opponent, oh well.
So this game was pretty brutal, and I would have got even more points in the end if I had known the rules properly. This matchup was pretty ideal for my list, and with Vengeance for Cadia the Shadowsword becomes really brutal. This was another fun game though as my opponent was really chill, funnily enough this was actually my longest game as we just chatted and his friends came over to spectate and had a chat too. Win: 33-16
End of day 1!  Going even on day 1 was way more than I had expected, so I was in a really good mood and looked at the standing and noticed I was 41st out of 80 players, could I get top half? That would be really cool if I could, and I just needed some decent scores and a win and a loss day 2!
Round 4
Opponent: Simon - Imperial Guard List: 2xWyvern, 2xBasilisk, 6x bullgryn, 3x Tank Commander (2 Demolisher, 1 Battle Cannon), 90(!) Guardsmen, some mortars and a few characters. Tanks as Vostroyan and the rest as Catachan. Secondary Picks: Engineers, Reaper, Big Game Hunter
Tumblr media
So a guard vs guard match! Seeing his list I knew it was gonna be pretty hard as he just had so many bodies and I didn’t have a great way to deal with that. Maybe I have a chance on some deployments, but we roll Front-Line Assault, ouch.
Turn 1: I end up going first, but my Shadowsword once again fails a bit and I only kill one of his Demolisher TCs and get the other one down to half. His return fire kills a basilisk and my Battle Cannon commander and he starts moving everything up the board.
Turn 2: My demolisher comes in and kills half his bullgryn, but he had screened well so I couldn’t get a shot on any vehicles. I kill the other demolisher too and some guardsmen. He keeps moving up and kills some of my infantry and my Punisher tank, good choice by him as it was my best way to clear out his infantry.
Turn 3: I blow up his relic cannon and with that his last way to kill my Shadowsword which was still on full health at this point so I start moving the Shadowsword across the board and charge it into infantry. He kills more infantry and ties up my demolisher, on the other side of the board my bullgryn are getting surrounded by infantry.
At this point there’s not much left on the board for me, my bullgryn in one corner fighting off guardsmen, some random characters and my Shadowsword, he won’t be able to kill the Bullgryn but they also won’t get engineers. The rest of the game just consists of my Shadowsword moving up the board eventually getting to and charging his artillery, trying to kill as much as possible. I end up barely missing a maxed reaper but it would not have mattered much.
This game was rough as predicted, killing both the Demolishers turn 1 would have been huge as my Relic tank commander would have lived and been able to pick off his artillery. But this amount of bodies is hard for me to deal with. I also shouldn’t have picked engineers as my bullgryn got swamped to early to max it, if I hadn’t picked I could have run them out and punched some guardsmen. Another good game though against a great opponent with a great looking army! Loss: 25-36
Round 5
Opponent: Linus - Tau List: 3x Riptide, 3x Commander, loads of drones and some characters Secondary Picks: Engineers, Butcher’s Bill, Headhunter
Tumblr media
Tau! Another army I hadn’t played against, but I had a pretty good idea of what they did. I knew this game was gonna be rough going in as my big guns wouldn’t do much until i killed his drones, but at least most of his shooting was super high strength so he might have trouble dealing with all my T8 tanks.
Turn 1: I do a little bit of damage, mostly kill off drones, I get my Butcher’s Bill from his small drone units. He shoots back and kills both my Basilisk, but I am not too sad about this, he runs a character onto the middle objective to get the bonus.
Turn 2: I end up killing enough drones to kill one of the Riptides, this is huge as it is a significant decrease in his shooting. My demolisher drops in and very nearly kills a commander, leaving him on 1 wound. I also drop one guard squad in to charge and contest his backline objective. On his turn he zooms his damaged commander over to kill my warlord and bring the demolisher down to its middle bracket.
Turn 3: My snipers do their second good thing of the game! Another 6 to wound finishes off the damaged Commander, that I otherwise wouldn’t have had a shot on. My punisher lays into the drones and clears almost all of them out. On the other side of the battle my enginseer and some vanguard are having a punching battle against som drones and Fire Warriors to hold an objective, I am winning the fight because of the Vanguard toughness reduction. His return fire blows up my Demolisher and Punisher Tank commanders.
Turn 4: With all his drones dead i put everything from my Shadowsword into one of his 3++ Riptides, but I end up doing 0 damage! Very unfortunate… I kill nothing, but he also kills nothing in return, most of his shooting goes into the bullgryn but they are very hard to kill and a single one survives and it will end up maxing Engineers in the next turn! We are also even on objectives so we both only score Hold in this round.
Turn 5: My Primaris Psykers manages to smite one of the commanders to death as they were really low from overcharging, the rest of my shooting bring the two remaining Riptides down to 1 and 2 wounds, should have focused my fire better but at least they are not very effective anymore. His shooting kills a load of my characters and the bullgryn, and he moves his riptide to contest the middle objective from my Shadowsword, getting him Hold More.
Turn 6: My remaining undamaged Battle Cannon TC moves and tallarn orders itself onto my backfield objective securing me the bonus point, I finish off the two riptides and his remaining commander. He has nothing important left so his turn is just moving some things to objectives.
Phew, this was a tense game, we count together the score. We have the exact same points in primaries, I maxed all my secondaries but as he had nothing left he missed Last Strike for his 4th Old School objective! I win by one point! I think I played this game pretty well with contesting objectives, I should have focused my fire more some of the rounds though. Shooting a volcano cannons just for it to be absorbed by drones is really annoying! Win: 29-28(!)
I Did it! 2 wins, 2 losses and a draw, should put me somewhere right in the middle, but where? As all the games finish I look in the app and I'm 39th! That’s top half, barely, but still! What a great first tournament it was, and I’m incredibly happy getting top half, especially with a Shadowsword.
My list will probably change a fair bit for the next tournament. As fun as a Shadowsword is it just isn’t worth the points sadly. And I really don’t like guard infantry, the Tank Commanders will probably stay however as they are just excellent, we will see what I decide to paint over christmas. Next tournament is still a fair bit away (probably start of march).
I would like to thank all my excellent opponent for 5 very enjoyable games and also Västerås Wargaming for organizing such a good tournament, all the tables and terrain looked awesome and it the whole event went really smooth, 10/10 would go back!
Until next time! Thanks for reading.
