Skz as red flags
Chan, who professes his undying love—even after a week of radio silence.
Minho, who becomes concerningly aggressive every time you have a minor dispute.
Changbin, who begs you to join him at the gym, only to nit-pick every little detail once you do.
Hyunjin, who dramatizes his every move—especially when he accuses you of cheating.
Han, who is so insecure about your relationship that he cries when you go out and won't stop texting you until you come home.
Felix, who is so anxious about confrontation that he just can't defend you in groups; you're fine with that, until a group of guys keeps hitting on you, and Felix isn't doing anything.
Seungmin, who completely ignores you for days, even weeks, after an argument—just because he believes he's right.
Jeongin, who is unwilling to compromise on your need for skinship—and his lack thereof.

Midnight Surveillance | Sylus/Reader Ramblings
About: So about Sylus and his little crow. Sylus watches you through his crow and monitors your every move through it yes... So... Here's a quick Sylus NSFW ramble...
Pairing: Sylus/Reader
Warnings: Stalking, mentioned somno. 18+ only please! Enjoy :)
Edit: Edited the formatting and some touch ups. :) Sorry for disappearing for months >< Got really discouraged when devs said they won't update mainline for a while a few months back.
Whenever he had time, or felt like it, he watched you through the eyes of his crow. Something about watching you going through your day, doing the most mundane tasks, puts him at ease.
You knew his crow was there, somewhere, watching you. You knew you should never let your guard down, even at home. And yet, sometimes you simply forgot...
Sylus merely arched his eyebrow when he saw you through your bedroom window, sleeping in your underwear. You were too tired to remember to draw the curtains perhaps, or else he wouldn't have seen you sleeping in such a... compromising state.
If he was a better man, he would've turned away, called you to tell you about your mishap, and continued with whatever he was doing. But he was not.
You were sleeping on your side, the gentle moonlight highlighted your face as you breathed through your parted lips. Sylus traced your form with his gaze, making note of the simple underwear you wore. It was nothing special, yet the sight of you like this sparked fire in his blood.
Every time you forget to draw the curtains before bedtime, you unknowingly fanned the flames the coursed through his veins, nurtured his desire to see more of you in this state.
Sometimes you would fall asleep in a flimsy towel, flopping onto your bed immediately after a shower. Sylus would watch the gentle rise and fall of your chest, his eyes always drifting to the clumsily tucked in hem of your towel.
At times he would dream about being there, watching you sleep. sometimes they were innocent dreams; with him carefully tucking you in before wrapping an arm around your waist, pulling you in deep into his embrace before falling asleep as well. And others.. well..
He would dream about pulling your panties to the side, dipping a finger between your folds and prod your clit as he watched your breath hitch. He also dreamt about bunching your towel up to your waist, slotting himself between your buttcheeks and slowly rutting against you while you slept peacefully, unaware of how hard he was for you.
His growing obsession with you all came to a head when one night, instead of catching you asleep without drawing the curtains again, he caught you in an even more... compromising position.
Through the dim moonlight, Sylus caught you lying on your bare stomach, touching yourself. He couldn't see your face as you were burrowing your face into your pillow, but he knew you were moaning, with how your hips perked up every so often.
Sylus was not a good man, that he knew about himself. So why be a gentleman and turn away, when the person of his midnight fantasies presents themselves to him on a silver platter?
Sylus put down all the things he was working on and dismissed everyone around him. Once alone, he made quick work of his pants, undoing it and palmed over his hardened cock.
Following the rhythm you set, he stroked himself as he watched you twitch with pleasure. He pictured himself being there with you, imagining he was prodding your clit when he ran a thumb over his leaking tip.
What he wouldn't give to have you bent over his desk at that moment. Especially when you lifted your hips even more, as though begging for someone- no not someone, him, and better only him- to join in.
Sylus snarled at the thought of you asking anyone else but him to satisfy you. He watched men vie for your attention; your neighbour, your painter friend, your childhood friends... they all wanted your eyes on them. You were so friendly to all of them... but him.
Your stubborn defiance of him, paired with his desire to take back what has been always his, fed his obsession with you. What was it that the other men in your life had, that he, the leader of the feared Onychinus, didn't?
He would never voice that out however. Instead, he would draw you in, bit by bit. He would lure you into his hold... and capture your heart and mind before you even had the chance to realize.
But those plans were for later. For now, he would make a mental note to install better listening devices onto his little crow, and enjoy the tempting sight before him.

The LAYERS needed in a modern/human Dreamling au. Some level of Endless family dysfunction, obviously. Hob's family can be be dead or not, it's all good. Are they old enough to have individually gained the awareness they are off-puttingly intense and should hide it a bit at first, or still in that "no, why would I need to Elsa this" stage?
Option A is both of them trying to play it cool, like "don't scare him off" except they so badly want to go from zero to sixty.
(Death and Desire have ruthlessly drilled Dream with flashcards about how to react appropriately in situations.
Desire: it's your one-month anniversary, what do you do?
Dream: [hesitantly] NOT propose?
Desire and Death, conferring, because that's technically correct but the delivery was suspect.
Death, encouragingly: Good start. And?
Dream: a nice dinner and maybe a walk?
Desire: well done!
Death: and for a three-month anniversary?
Dream: give them a key to my flat.
Desire: [airhorn] NO. RED CARD.)
Option B makes them the classic anecdotal "my grandparents got engaged within seven days of meeting each other and still are happy together".
(Death, rubbing her temples: so you met this guy--
Dream: Hob
Death: -- Hob, and within 1 day you gave notice to the Registrar's Office and figured out the best day to get married. And Hob agreed to this?
Dream: NO.
Death: oh thank go-
Dream: Hob SUGGESTED this.
Death: . . .
Dream: are you going to be a witness or not?
Death, 29 days later in the Registrar's Office, to Hob's witness: Is he sane?
Johanna Constantine, drinking heavily from a large flask: unfortunately yes, by all legal definitions.
Death: fuck
Johanna: [passing the flask over] if your brother's even a tenth as intense as Hob, they'll be fine. Probably.
Death, brightening: Is Hob that bad?
Johanna: You know how sometimes you meet somebody and think "oof, they're a bit much, best give them a wide berth"?
Death: yeah.
Johanna: Hob's like a camouflaged hole in the ground of muchness. Except he's done the hole up all nice and he knows that sometimes you just want to be left alone in the hole to sulk and rattle the spikes for a bit, and occasionally get a F&M hamper tossed in.
Death: [hmmmmmmm'ing approvingly]
Johanna, morose: the bastard.
In the background, Hob and Dream are pressing their foreheads together and basking in each other's presence)

Voice actors are NOT the same as actors.
It takes a specific kind of skill-set and training to be able to warp and meld the voice. It takes a certain kind of talent and dedication to hone that talent into the ability to meld the voice and invoke emotion with one's voice alone. Actors are used to using their voice secondarily to their body language and their facial expressions. It's all mirrored back on camera. They do have nuance. But it's a different kind of nuance and a different kind of training to produce that nuance.
Voice actors might get their likeness transposed on their character's design, and maybe their mannerisms might seep into the character's animation. But when it's all said and done: their presence is in their voice. They are bringing a character to life, showing that emotion in their voice, trying to keep a specific accent, drawl, pitch, tone in that voice and keep it consistent for their recording sessions.
The voice actor is like a classically trained musician who can play first chair in a competitive, world-renown orchestra. The actor (who fills the voice actor's role) is like a moot who played violin in beginner and intermediate high school orchestra and thinks they can get into Juilliard with that 2-4 years of experience.
This doesn't mean that the HS orchestra moot can't play. They can even be really good at it. Maybe they won competitions and sat first chair. But they are not in the same league as the person who's been training their whole lives and lives and breathes to hone their craft using the instrument and all of the training they've ever acquired to perfect it. They are not meant for the same roles. They are not in the same caliber. You do not hire the HS equivalent when you want to play complex music in a competitive orchestra.
Actors are not the same as voice actors.
And furthermore, actors - especially big name actors - taking the roles of animated characters for big budget films or TV pilots makes no sense anyways when - at least in the case of TV pilots - there's not a point to hiring a big budget actors anyways. That money could be used elsewhere (like paying your animators), and the talent that is brought onto the screen for X character could then be hired on to voice said character no recasting required.
I wouldn't say voice acting as a profession is in danger exactly, but it's certainly being disrespected and overlooked for celebrity clout, and this has ALWAYS been an issue. Shoot, even Robin Williams knew that much - which is why he tried so hard not to be used as a marketing chess piece for Aladdin and got royally pissed off when it happened anyways. People shouldn't go to any movie (but especially not animated films) because "oh famous actor is in it". People should go because it's a good movie and the voice acting is good.
People who honest to god think that voice actors are replaceable because "oh well anyone can voice act" or "I like xyz celebrity so naturally it'll be good" ... Honestly I just wish you'd reassess your priorities because you're missing the point and are part of the problem.
Voice Actors ≠ Actors.

we talk a lot about how current kids, teenagers, and parents never learned internet safety in this age of social media, but i think we also gotta be honest with ourselves that most of us, adults on the internet who participate in fandom, never really learned how to engage with young people without setting them up for disaster.
might be weird to say it like this, but it's important to leave people how you met them or better. like hiking or going to a nature reserve. if you are regularly talking to people on the internet, especially teenagers, you need to consider whether your behavior with them is how another, shittier person would take advantage of them, because you have no real way of protecting them if that happens. like if you're going into discords and saying 'hey i'm mom! let me help you with your homework and irl issues. also please feel free to vent to me if you have any mental health issues or problems at home" you have to understand that the next person who says that to them may be leaving out the end of their plan; "that would make you easier to abuse."
sometimes you have to say "you seem fun and have a lot of great ideas but you are also 15, so if you wanna talk fandom, here are the boundaries we're going to follow, because these are the boundaries other adults should be following with you." or just refuse to talk to kids.
you decide what your responsibility, is but what you can't do is build an illegal fire pit on the hiking trail, if you catch my drift.

I keep starting and abandoning posts that go into my drafts, as I try to stay tasteful about how fucking revolted this part makes me. Like, I'm legitimately unsure if the very relevant trauma I have is making me see things that aren't here
But first we see that Star Flower is trying to ingratiate herself to the group, just after she reappears from chapter 5. Chapter 5 is about how Clear Sky is still abusive towards his son, and she comes in after stroking his ego, stressing how alone she is, and appealing to how she'll be loyal unlike his child. (She glances over at Thunder, directly implying this.)
Now in Chapter 9, she's babysitting and trying to care for Milkweed's kits (in spite of discomfort from Milkweed), taking a wet sleeping space away from the others, and pulling more than her own weight "without complaint." Putting herself through harsh sitations to prove her worth.
All while trying to appear extra attractive to Thunder, and later Clear Sky. Basically every man in power who can "protect her"
Like, am I going fucking crazy? With how we later find out that Star Flower was "promised as a mate" to One Eye's subordinate Slash, is... is that hypersexualization? One of the extremely stigmatized symptoms of sexual abuse?
She goes to find Clear Sky alone to throw herself at his paws, and he's very quickly attracted to how she promises to perfectly obey him, have no needs of her own, and finally be the perfect servant that he desires
"I don't deserve your trust because I am dirt. I understand you because I also regret something. I'd die for you. I'll never betray you unlike those who have."
This isn't manipulation. She means this. The story is playing their romance sincerely. She's comparing "betraying" Thunder by telling her own father about an assassination ambush to Clear Sky's history of child abuse, physical assault, and murder
She believes she's on the same level as this; a monster who murdered a childhood friend in a fit of entitled rage. She was a victim of One Eye who really believes that the way her father used her means she "understands" this monster, deserves this treatment.
And Clear Sky LIKES that.
He likes that she will have COMPLETE FAITH in him. That she will follow him WITHOUT QUESTION. That she will OBEY his orders. That's fucking verbatim, that's THE TEXT!!!
WHILE HE'S STILL CRYING ABOUT "ive tried to atone every day" FOLLOWING THE LAST TWO BOOKS WHERE THE ONLY SHITTY THING HE DOESN'T DO IS MURDER INNOCENT WOMEN
Am I insane?? Am I wrong??? Am I missing something here???? Why the fuck is the fandom takeaway "haha sexy girl steals his dad." Did I read the same book

i keep thinking about how i want to write a post about how Ming Isn't That Bad Really and how he clearly has some big soft spots and Maybe We Should Give Him A Chance-
and then i remember my own TERRIBLE taste in men before i met my current partner (that i've been with for almost 10 years now because he DOESN'T suck) and i'm like "no no no self, he is just like men you've dated in the past and that's why you think he's fine, that's not a GOOD thing"
i have (mostly) terrible taste in men so i absolutely get Joe is what i'm saying
and i still love Ming anyway i can't help it sorry not sorry
