I'm gonna ramble under the cut about the designs n stuff but you can scroll past that to get to the timelapse if u want.

@jotg-miraculousrewriteau is where you'll see any updates about this story/au/rewrite I have going on if you get interested. It'll take some time before I get around to writing it but I'll be trying to draw more. I'll list some reasons for why I haven't gotten much out recently under the cut. Not abandoning the au tho!

This one was a STRUGGLE and part of it was because I still liked last year's and because my interest in ml has taken a back burner with other interests BARGING IN this year.

Not to say that I don't want to work on my rewrite anymore, but I'm probably gonna do some more rewatching so I can get fully back into it again. I can't really plop down what I've come up with for the rewrite and be satisfied anyway, so I'm stuck until I get the thing written and drawn.

THAT ASIDE, I changed up their posing again and included updates to the character design. I don't know if what I've drawn Marinette in here will stick for her redesign as far as outfits are concerned, but I don't really like the previous outfit I gave her anymore so I needed to work with something new.

Overall I like how this turned out, even if I'm a bit unsure abt other areas.

Specifics: Once again, I liked coloring and drawing Marinette more which shouldn't be a surprise since I have more to work with in her design. I made the foolish mistake of not including her freckles in the past, so now I'm amending for that. She's sort of matching her bf now.

I included some lore bits abt Tikki and Marinette's complicated relationship here that I haven't talked abt before. Marinette is not doing anything to Tikki intentionally, but I have a plot line in the story I have planned that involves how the kwamis went from deities to kwamis. Got caged in the miraculous. And the consequences that follow.

INcluding Marinette and Tikki gaining a strained relationship for the majority of the story.

But that's all I'll say on that for now.

You might notice Marinette's skintone has changed a bit from other redesigns. What happened was, when I was first coming up with ideas for the rewrite, I was going off of critisysms I saw a lot and noting them down. One, was that Mari didn't look like she was biracial and her skin tone should reflect that. Now. I was young and figured "Oh okay! So. Lets look up what average chinese skintones are!" ...I found the racist color swatches that got pretty close to yellow and I ignorantly changed her skin tone to that.

So! Now her skin tone is closer to canon's and I've decided anything about her heritage isn't something I'll tackle in my rewrite/au since I'm not qualified. I still have some things I've changed so she looks similar to both parents, but no more of that skin tone.

As far as I know, Velvette has no canon age at death, cause of death, or death date so based on what we know we just crafted our own headcanons. AJ proposed she might've had parents who ran one of those family vlog channels with her as the face of it, becoming a child influencer under her parents' control. I was thinking she could've been a child model- yk like. dance moms or something. Idk I don't remember what was happening on that show— anyways. Yea

Either way she grew up constantly controled and perfection was her standard. All of her outside thoughts and feelings and interests and opinions were constantly dismissed in favor of what made her more marketable. She never did get that popular in life tho, and her mentors always shamed and blamed her for it.

Idk if this is canon or not, but the idea of the sinners designs reflecting their vices or things they regreted or hated in life is an untapped gold mine to me so that could explain where Velvette's supposed doll and clown themes come from. Became a toy dressed up and paraded around for the entertainment of others + joke never taken seriously. She'd hate that

(As for how that ties into my redesign…. me and AJ were thinking she could be a vampire doll, but I'm not sure IDK I wanna sketch that out and see what it's giving)

In hell she easilly fell back into this warped facsimile of her old life bc it was all she knew. "she feels some form of pseudo control and enjoyment because she has no one pulling her strings now" (<-AJ) SHE'S running things!!! Who's the puppet now!!!!!!

Then THAT had me thinking too because now that I think about it. Why Is she the backbone of the V's?? She's like. An undergrad student in my mind at the MOST and Vox and Val are two men pushing 40 I'm sure. I think a big part of it is the fact that those two are almost complete and utter buffoons who let their emotions cloud their actions constantly, Valentino most obviously but even tho Vox seems more composed like when he's talking Val down from his outburst and when he was talking to the press, we can still see he's a total mess—especially where Alastor is concerned. He lost it so bad during their duet HE SHORTED PENTAGRAM CITY'S POWER.

Now out of all the V's we've seen the least of Velvette (I'd call it what it is but yall gon get real mad at me), The most we really got out of her character was the overlord meeting (and despite her huge ego and unruly behavior she did end up speaking facts), so maybe she Is just as unstable as them in canon but canon is SHIT and this isn't about canon anymore. In my mind she's very much in charge of the back end of their work. Vox is obviously the head of the operation—or at least he seems like it to me—what with the tech company having his name and with him answering the interviews, but I think that's all he is. The figure head. Velvette is the brain behind it all. When Vox proposes new buisness endeavors off the cuff she's the one who goes back and makes sure they're getting handled properly because he doesn't really dig into the backend of how things happen. Vox goes to most of the conferences or whatever (Vel's too busy running her shows and serving cunt after all) but Vel follows up on what was learned.

(also yeah all that makes this very much an au of an au bc it'd take a lot of radical changes for the two of them to be friends I think. It's fun to imagine anyway)

THIS this. THIS! Okay uhh vague personal experience w/ abuse cw ig. skip this paragraph if you don't wanna hear it. But It kinda reminds me of my relationship with my parents- NOT THAT I SEE THEM AS TWO DADS AND A DAUGHTER I DO NOT BELIEVE IN THAT NOTION IN A POST PILOT WORLD If future content proves me wrong it proves me wrong but at this moment they're all equals in my mind (…and I hc them as poly BUT WE'LL GET THERE) but In my situation it's like. I hate my parents for the abuse they've caused me, my mom more than my dad bc she's satan incarnate, but there are still things I like about my dad and. Tolerate. About my mother. We still can talk cordialy and spend time together, have fun together even, and I show affection to them, but deep down I know I wanna cut my mom off later and maybe my dad too depending. Additionally my mom is completely Incompatent and pulls none of her weight so despite it all I've been forced to pick up the slack and become half the brains of this family. I do chores she should take care of. Handle money. Make important decisions about our health and safety she doesn't care about.

AAAny ways. This is so my version of Velvette. No I'm not projecting (I am). She pulls a big chunk of the weight around there (some of it being carried by Vox and virtually none by Val). She's very close with the two of them but isn't a fan of everything they do (Cares more for Vox than Val in my mind). Speaking of, she definitely isn't some saint now, she still makes the love potions and is Impassive to both Val and Vox's behavior, but part of that Is her just seeing it as part of the business. Shady practices and exploitation are par for the course in any business to her. She never truly grew out of the harmful mindsets ingrained into her by whoever her enabling caretakers were in life and they're still apparent in hell. (Maybe she even experienced some of the darker sides of exploitation in life but was groomed into thinking it was okay contributing to why she doesn't see Valentino's actions as heinous. Idk. thinking on it)

Circling back to my poly V's idea. Idk it just seems plausible to me. Vox and Val already have their whole thing going on, they all live together, and they all have nicknames for each other (Vox calling her my dear, Val calling her baby doll, Vel calling Vox darling). Ik that could just be their personalities and the pet names don't have to mean anything more but this is MY au and my word is gospel hope this helps. It just makes sense

I could go on and ON about the toxic insanity of the Poly V's in my mind— particularly between Vox and Valentino— but this is NOT their post so maybe next time. As for Velvette, I get the vibe that she'd be intimate with both of them and enjoy it but she's never the one to initiate anything. Sometimes they're all like this 🤞🏾 and others the boys are a complete turn off to her (main example being the difference in her attitude towards Vox in episode 3 vs episode 8). Her tolerance of them flips on a dime depending on how they're acting. She also prefers to be a casually entertained observer to VoxVal more often then not (ex. end of episode 8 imo)

Boys aside. My Velvette is still a social media influencer and she's all about advertising. advertising products (like the love potion), clothing looks, technology... Heck even herself. "You're nobody if you don't wear this or use this or look like this ^ - ^". Projecting on her even further by making her have a love/hate relationship with her profession aka the modeling aspect of it: she's always had a genuine love for fashion and dressing up but the internal pressure for perfection she's placed on herself makes it hard for her. She's very hard on her models and designers bc of this

Couldn't think of a segway for this but also WHAT HAPPENED TO VELVETTE WANTING TO FIGHT THE ANGELS??? The "full assault plan" against the angels??? And then when the fight actually came they were all just lounging around watching it go down like it was afternoon tv????? This isn't even a "we'll get to it in season 2" thing did they honest to god forget? Did that line not mean anything??

Well I didn't forget and it's pissed me off since my first rewatch of that meeting scene. Don't think we don't know how the V's got the angel head, but In my head Velvette was the one who initially proposed the idea for an assault against heaven and her insatiable need to feel respected and feared only spurred this plan on, incredible risk be damned.

It also felt weird to me that Velvette just. Let it go when Carmilla said the meeting was over. Just. "Oh ok! Plan cancelled no more attacking heaven ^ - ^ I'm gonna go scroll for the rest of the show!" Hu h. My au-ified Velvette would definitely fight her on it— if she thought killing angels would change the game and Carmilla held the secrets behind it she would pry! Blow up at her about it until she wasn't getting results and bitterly storming off with as much composure as she could muster. Not wanting to team up with Carmilla but find some way to use her for all she was worth and get her way in the end, use the power and resources the V's had to actually make a plan. Would it have worked without the Morningstars? Eh. Either way I'm sure she could delude herself into thinking they were the most powerful people in hell. Ugh I don't wanna make an au rewrite of the show and I that was never my plan so idk where that'd go but. Yea

ANYWAYS anyways. wow you made it to the end somehow! Here's your treat :3

Context u didn't ask for: Some days Velvette overwhelms herself with her own impossible expectations. Nothing she creates or puts out is good enough. She gets extra anxious about her following; nothing's happened to them, but what if they see the miniscule flaw in her latest clothing that she sees? What if she's no longer perfect? (Even worse in the vamp Velvette redesign of her bc she literally feeds off their attention and admiration)

She'll snap at everyone and disapprove of every look and then hole herself away somewhere where she crashes and is just. So. Tired. But she'll be out of it the next day, ready to keep the conveyor rolling.

Redesigning Starlo NEO

All right, I haven't had time to put my thoughts together properly, but I do have some ideas about Starlo's NEO forms (or Zenith or Super forms, if you prefer).

1st Phase: Shooting Star

His first phase should not be call Sirius, he is the North Star, and the real name for the North Star is Polaris. Sirius is a completely different star, in a different constellation. I get the joke that he's become a "Serious Starlo," but that's the wrong star, he shouldn't be called Sirius at all.

I think his first phase should be called "Shooting Star," because he's literally a STAR who SHOOTS. Like, duh???

As for his design:

Yellow is actually a mid-temperature star. Based on Starlo's reactions to the Showdown boss fight, I feel like he's someone who would act cool and calm in a real, serious fight to the death. He'd have to be in order to even shoot straight. So his 1st NEO form would probably be a cooler, reddish-orange temperature. Like he's staying calm and giving you an opportunity to give up before he really starts to fight.

His lasso is on fire and burns you when he whips you. And his bullets are made of fire. Every hit has a potential to give you burn damage that lasts for a few turns, or a potential for smoke damage that leaves you unable to breathe, reducing your speed.

2nd Phase: Polaris

Much as I like the name Hypernova for Starlo, I think the North Star should get to shine under the name Polaris, yeah? But he doesn't look humanoid anymore. He still has arms and legs, but his torso and face are replaced by an intense ball of bluish-white light.

His bullets are made of plasma and deal electrical damage. His lasso looks like a streak of bluish-white lightning. If you get caught in it, you get electrocuted and can't move until he un-whips you.

3rd Phase? Singularity

We could give him a 3rd NEO phase (because why not, I mean, Ceroba got a 3-phase fight, even tho ASRIEL DREEMURR himself only got 2, but if Ceroba gets a 3rd, then why can't Starlo?).

This is a desperate, last-ditch move on Star's part and will kill him if he has to stay in this phase for more than a few minutes. Hypernova has used up most of his energy and in order to continue the battle, he has to collapse in on himself. He basically becomes a small black hole. He is no longer able to hold onto a lasso. He has become a living gravity well in order to drag you in. His bullets are pure radiation, no longer being shot from a gun, but from his own body. He will only use this phase if a battle comes to point of "if I'm going down, I will drag you down with me." This kind of attitude goes against his own nature, and is something he will only use if faced with an enemy that poses a threat to all man- and monster-kind.

You can't see anything left of him but two, small, burning, white eyes, and the rainbow-colored tips of the five points of his head. The rest of him has become a black, empty void.

So when would he even use this?

Well, as we've already seen, Star doesn't use this in a Geno run. I have a lot of thoughts on this that need to go into a proper analysis post, but for now, I'll just say that he doesn't even start to develop his other phases until after the events of UTY. Because until the end of a True Pacifist run (that is, sparing Ceroba), Starlo never comes to a full understanding of Justice. He has a messed-up idea of Justice that he got from combining his movies with his monster upbringing. Clover is the one who teaches him that Justice must be combined with MERCY, or else it isn't Justice at all, it's just judgement.

So Star probably would use these phases on dangerous criminals after reaching the surface.

Ok ok so @quotidian-oblivion has been (lovingly) pestering me to make something of my/our comment thread on "bane" where we were talking about the whole "Ra's wants tim's babies" thing, and what if that actually happened, so here it is 😂 (tw for referenced rape)

So obviously this could only happen if Cass didn't save Tim from Ra's's half-sister so. Hella angst

Poor Cass is devastated that she was too late to stop it. She blames herself, even tho everyone tells it her its no one's fault but Ra's and his sister. She becomes ridiculously protective of tim in response, even well beyond the time she forgives herself

Dick clings to Tim for an entire day when he finds out, trying not to feel rain on his skin, promising it'll be ok someday, that he's there, he'll do anything he can. He's guilty too, wishing he'd been in better contact, gone with Tim, done anything that could have spared him Dick’s nightmares

Damian’s world has shattered. Grandfather... does not want Damian. As his heir. He wants a previously nonexistent child. DRAKE's child. And he has stooped to the lowest low to get it. The carefully built family around Damian is in mourning for something he doesn't fully understand, and Drake now flinches when Damian, in what was supposed to be a peace offering, calls him "Timothy"

Steph and Tim make up as friends when she comes to support him with the shock of knowing that he has (will have, bc they are NOT leaving it with Ra's) a child now that he was not ready for. She doesn't touch him once while she's there, stays at arm's length, and that, Tim thinks, is what makes the visit feel as comforting as a hug

Jason is horrorstruck and breaks out of the rage/aggression and channels it towards hunting down League assassins bc what the fuck how DARE ra's? Tim was fucking 17 and Jason does not care how powerful this bastard is, he's going the FUCK down because NOBODY messes with Jason's baby brother but Jason himself

Barbara is ranting about how Ra's cant even know the genetics are going to fucking WORK how he wants them to, but breaks off abruptly as Tim's eyes well up, changing to enumerating all the baby things she's ordered and telling the dumb science jokes on the onesies because she NEEDS to see Tim laugh

Alfred LOOKS composed but every night he grips that shotgun real tight and has to remind himself that these kids need him, he can't risk himself for vengeance, what matters is Master Tim and the new little master or miss to be. He asks Tim privately if he'd like to choose a room to be the child's nursery. Tim doesnt know, but that's ok, dear boy, that's ok.

Bruce comes home and instead of the joy of reunion (or well, after it) has to struggle not to cry bc God his poor little boy... Damian was a shock too but at least Bruce and Talia loved each other. At least Bruce fucking consented. At least bruce was a goddamn adult. He doesnt think he will ever be rid of the guilt that Tim only found his way to Ra's by looking for Bruce

And Tim himself...

He can't go underground, at all. He redesigns his costume so that he can only unfasten it with a biometric lock, and doesn't tell anyone where it is except Alfred (medical emergencies). Some days, he can't look the girls in the eyes. Some days, he can't look at them at all, not without memories of things he isn't supposed to have seen or. Or felt. He's kidnapped as Red Robin once and chained to the wall, and he dissociates until someone (Jason this time, and who'd have believed THAT a year ago?) comes to save him. He can't get a good night's sleep anymore, not that he ever could but still

He feels paralyzed. There is no putting this off, no playing for time, nothing. They were able to confirm that Ra's's sister IS pregnant, and he knows damn well it's his, and nature waits for no one. In less than nine months now there's going to be a squalling, breathing, tiny, fragile, entire child, and unless he steps in, Ra's is going to raise it. Which means torturing it into a killer.

Every part of Tim screams NO

So they use those months to plan. How do they get in, how do they get out, WHEN is this supposed to happen because they can't well kidnap the child from the delivery room, the poor thing has to be in some kind of stable health, they need to KNOW these things, and thats when Bruce gets a call

Because Talia is fucking livid. She knows Ra's is an asshole, that's why she got Damian to Bruce, but this was a whole new low, her goddamn AUNT pregnant by her teenage non consenting STEPSON? She can't stop that any more than the others now, but she knows what she CAN stop: another tiny child being twisted and corrupted by this absolute monster. They need a spy, right? Well they got one

Born during the reformation that happened after the war- basically, nobody was really fighting anymore during this time, but some big people in power were still being stupid [aka: not letting their prisoners go]

So that would be somewhere around 1947? Which would put his age at 61 in my universe [which is in 2008- the times are pretty much random, nothing really lines up irl. Ignore how they use tech and other things that shouldn't have been invented yet lol]

He grew up when the Skunk Dolls were new and popular and stuff. And he loved them- so much that the band actually kinda inspired his music career

He's not great with his words and can find it hard to express love by just telling someone. Back to the bluntness thing, you can often find him accidentally offending someone and he doesn't even realize it

The troupe very quickly learned this and it's more of an endearing trait of his to them [and to most people who know him]

REALLY good cook. Fantastic, in fact. Probably one of the best chefs out of any of the characters.

Learned the hard way that enlisting Buster's help in the kitchen is a bad idea. Also Ash isn't great either, but he actually tries to teach her some of his recipes. And she's quickly improving

Buster was just being an idiot and forgot you shouldn't microwave tinfoil

Clay travels a lot, but spends most of his time in Calatonia [he technically still lives at his and Ruby's house, but he's super scared of accidentally closing himself off again, so he only visits to check up on the flowers and maintain the property pretty much]

He's like Ash's second [and very cool] dad. Which- also intimidates Buster quite a bit :D

I feel like their dynamic could be a sitcom. Clay is Ash's awesome dad and Buster is Ash's lame [endearing] and oddly unhinged and anxious dad who feels like he has to be as cool as Clay [and always fails heehee]

Clay is more entertained by Buster's ridiculous criminal record than horrified and I don't know if that's worrying or just a classic Calloway W

He's a very nonchalant person

Ruby's death is the only time I can really think he had a legitimate emotional break that wasn't just him being snappy [which is also pretty rare]

Clay's also like an uncle to the Piglets

He's kinda just taken up the role of "super awesome miscellaneous family member" for everyone at this point

He's back performing again after Sing 2- just not frequently or putting out any new songs [on his own at least- he might do a collaboration or two with Ash]

Ok so for the “child of Frankensteins creature”, instead of being the child of victor Frankenstein, imagine a universe where victor was actually nice to his creation, gave him a name (Adam Frankenstein), and created a child for him instead of a bride. Also imagine Frankie sees Victor as an uncle more than a grandpa even tho he is technically their grandpa lmao

15 days old = 15 yrs old, they’re a sophomore at monster high

Since Mattel can’t make Frankie green anymore because of copywrite, I made them bluish and greenish yellow, blue for the g3 design and green yellow for the book design of Frankensteins creature (his skin is yellow because of formaldehyde so why not have Frankie’s skin a little yellow too)

Loves doodling on their prothetic leg

I went with an even nerdier design than last time I drew Frankie just because in the reboot movie, they wore sweater vests a lot and I thought it was cute lol

Loves accessorizing and piercings sm like their room is probably filled with diy jewelry kits and different jewelry for piercings (ofc their dad makes them get them professionally done no diy piercings here 😞)

Has a friendship bracelet with all friends possible and probably makes more all the fime

Their bag is a blue star bag with a yellowish white fluffy shoulder pad

im using you as an excuse to talk about my very own home-grown blorbos now

So!!!!!!!!! i literally only have half of a design for the two of these ocs, i've only drawn one of them ONCE and i don't count it cuz i wanna redesign him COMPLETELY (that piece is not even canon, i had to do that for a class so i put stuff in there that doesn't even belong to the type of story it is </3), i've written for the two of them a couple times but im not even sure THAT'S canon anymore

i think the writing might still be canon tho, i do still kinda like a lot of the stuff it went over with that. N E WAYS.

basically there's this pair of witches (they don't. really have. names. oops. they did but i don't like them anymore) who enlisted and then eventually rose to the top of fighting this war/apocalypse/encroaching disaster that has been ongoing for a LONG time. like, they're at the end of the world but turns out the end of the world is a hell of a lot slower than anyone imagined. they've been fighting it for a long time (and it does involve actual fighting? like i like to think that this apocalypse acts more as like. locust swarm but the bugs are big big buggy boys that hates you hates you hates you and eats the magic out of the world)

and the first (we'll call him A) is the one who rose up in the ranks to be best of the best very quickly, because his kind of magic is very powerful and was critically effective in the fight. and the second guy (we'll call him B) is kind of. worst of the best. SORT OF. he was best of the best because he fought alongside A and B's brand of magic explicitly deals with the bond the two of them shared. (i call it bonds magic cuz i can't think of something better for now) (yes it's power of friendship) (there more to that but whatever) it was IMMENSELY powerful!!! not moreso than A's magic, but still!! very powerful!!! so B rose up because A pulled him up (not entirely true!!! but you get the point. nuance)

BUT THEN. sometime after they had been in the war for a long ass time, A leaves. either from shame, either he's disillusioned, something happened, he won't say. and just kind of. leaves B behind. who still is very much part of the war and won't say anything to sway A's mind because he cares too much about what he thinks

years later, B's still part of the war/doom effort. and magic in the world has kind of deteriorated so much that it's. honestly kind of hard to come across a solid magic user these days. they still teach them and still get people to join the effort, but compared to the older days, it's a lot less. people can learn magic, everyone can, but it's hard to get like. a professional, someone who has unlocked the higher abilities of magic. people like A or B.

speaking of! yeah. B is still part of the war effort. and it's NOW at the period of time where he's the worst of the best, but he's the only one they've got. they still keep him around because who else is there, really, and also he can still utilize the powerful bond magic he made way back when with A, so he's still very powerful but it's just. different. ya know? he's standing in the shadow of just the IDEA of A, and he's not even here anymore. and it's not filled with resentment, never. never resentment. he could never tarnish that. it's only ever love. and looking up to A. it didn't feel like he cast a shadow because to B, to him, he only ever cast light.

but also. A left. left him. alone.

so he's dealing with that in a perfectly reasonable manner (not thinking about it)

meanwhile A has decided to live a pastoral life away from the apocalypse and is totally not repressing his issues either. <3.

and like!!! the council or whatever that's in charge of all the witches is like "hey. B. you know your way cooler friend? you still keep in touch right?" and sends him off to go find A again after all these years to bring him back to the war and there's a whole mess of meeting again and having to meet with all the things you left unsaid, and all the everything and OOUAOUGHFF it's a whole mess.

anyways i want to make this a comic but also i kind of need to. yknow. design and draw the comic if i want to make the comic. so like. rage.

Skarner sketches - 2024-04-03-06

Okay, so, uh... this is new?

I don't actually play LoL for a multitude of reasons, and I can't claim to have been very deeply ingrained in its lore before either. Sometimes one champion grabs my attention temporarily, like Tahm Kench (most accurate re-imagining ever of the Devil in folklores), Kindred (Death never had a more awesome interpretation), Braum (he is just an amazing guy) or the God of All Sass in the Universe, Aurelion Sol (Boop). But I have never created fanart of them, or started reading up on the lore even at a surface level.

Well, for some reason, the newly reworked Skarner has somehow gotten my attention on an entirely new level. No, I'm still not going to play League. I might check out Riot's non-PvP games, tho...

Turns out, I'm kinda sorta joining in when LoL's lore building is at its lowest, few new champions, no "color stories" anymore, and basically no other stories, which is... kind of heart-breaking, not gonna lie. Because I see the unified lore Riot is trying to build and it is genuinely impressive both in ambition and in actual execution. They can even work in redesigns and reworks into the story seamlessly at times. I hope they pick up steam again soon.

Skarner might have gotten my attention because of his design; because of his amazing similarity in appearance and in role to the best sea monster ever put to screen - Leviathan from Atlantis: The Lost Empire; because of his banger music; or because he has a lot in common with my Ra from my Egyptian mythology story idea where they both teeter on the brink between utter paranoia-fueled tyrannic rule and genuine protection of their people.

Whatever it may be, I like Skarner, the Primordial Sovereign. I am not sure how much LoL's story is allowed to progress, and champions to have arcs, but I hope against all hope that Skarner's story will involve one hell of a bi--slap from life that will get him back on the proper way to protect his people and not actually ruin them in his paranoia.

Maybe the Void will swallow Ixtal in a surprise attack, but Skarner manages to make it out with citizens on his back like Milio, and Qijana as the last Yun Tal and therefore de facto human leader of the Ixtali. The formerly isolationist nation is now forced into nomadic life atop Skarner as they seek a new home or allies to get back at the Void finally. I mean, Jax is looking for volunteers from what I have heard, and Skarner actually likes Jax and Icathia. Now... wouldn't that be a fanfic idea?

I hope I can deliver a few more sketchdumps, because I have ideas both for Skarner and for the brackern species as a whole.

I just created a Hi-Fi Rush AU!(along with a friend who has enabled my hyperfixation) :D Presenting...

The Swapped!AU (or the HiFiSwapped!AU, for tagging purposes)

This Au changes the main team, loosely like this:

Chai is Chai, he is eternal 

Peppermint gets replaced by Kale

808 gets replaced by a new character, 373 the doggo bot

Macaron gets replaced by Zanzo 

Korsica gets replaced by Rekka 

and Roquefort is there

On top of that, Peppermint replaces Kale as the CEO (And Macaron replaces Zanzo, but yeah)

I also replaced Roquefort with a brainwashed Roxanne as the Head of Finance because i really wanted to keep it down with the ocs.

Ok! Now i show you my designs and explain more (cut here because this is a long post)

First of:

AU!Peppermint

I based most of her redesign on her costumes.

In this AU, she felt ignored by her family due to Kale being the favored child and, after a few years of planning, took over Vandelay Technologies.

She usurped the company from Roxanne simularly to Kale, using a program/AU!Spectra to control Roxanne to step down and become the Head of Finance instead.

She is a hands on type of person, so she is more prominent than Kale was canonically.

AU!Kale

His and Peppermints ages are closer together in this Au.

Kale is pretty simular to his canon self. He was used to other people doing most of the work for him and is very bossy at the start. He left home because he felt like he wasn't his own person(and because he thought his mother was too overbearing).

He was, like Peppermint, very skeptical of Chai in the beginning, but he was glad to not have to do all the dirty work anymore.

He can overcharge doors and vents, but he can't break the shields of the enemies. Due to this, they don't get introduced until the R&D tracks. Oh and Zanzo takes this over once he gets around.

This counts as an oc i think. 373 (Now known as Subw00fr!) My baby boy!

He was named after a synthesizer

373 is Kales version of 808! He is based on a golden retriever. Nothing more to say here this is the best one

AU!Roquefort

This version of him starts as a human, suffering from a chronic illness. He was a family friend of the Vandelays and stuck around with Kale as a father figure.

As the story progresses, he will eventually look like his canon version. This lets him do the same things Korsica canonically does.

AU!Rekka

Rekka starts as the Head of Production like in canon. She is a lot less overbearing and more reasonable (She is still the strict Boss we love tho-) and she is very skeptical of Peppermint, as in this AU she was the Head of Production under Roxanne as well.

After the canon fight, instead of exploding she joins the gang instead (due to Roquefort convincing her. Neither Kale nor Chai would manage that at this point)

Due to her strength, she can break Z-Shielding, which gets introduced earlier in this AU. And she replaces Korsica in the Hideout.

AU!Zanzo

Zanzo was the Head of R&D under Roxanne instead of Macaron. His money spending habits were not canon-level bad in this AU because otherwise this would not work-

He was subsequently thrown out as Peppermint took over and from then on hid in R&D. Alone.

In this AU he was also the one that build Kales robot body after an accident. This is so I can write drama because they now know eachother.

Zanzo replaces Macaron in the Hideout and can overload regular shielding(with his swords like the anime character he is) . He also constantly tests new stuff on Chai, under the guise of 'Training'.

Coverton gives me amphibious vibes, tho I do think those cheek "flaps" are like. gills or something, not exactly. his chrysalis rejuvenation molting whatever is ?? helps keep his skin squishy soft and get rid of skin disease. human equivalent of a "birthday" but he only does it every 6¾ (earth) years, he's also 180 so you do the math for his human age

"Coverton" is not his real name, that's a title, as is "Coverlord" for leader of the interstellar conquering empire

loves a good mocha, I also think he would like boba tea. idk I like to imagine the aliens just trying earth drinks, I'm gonna project more and say he doesn't like soda, or champagne but does appreciate wine. the lemonade he had from the pilot was meh, whatever

from what I understand Sta'abi doesn't have a home anymore? she's a survivor of some horrid giant beast's rampage. at some point she left her planet to join an interspecies group of warriors that travel the stars, which has some association to the Coverlord Empire. so her position under this council of warriors is.. a monster hunter

her favourite kind of food is from the sea, enjoys shellfish & cephalopods the most (because her usual hunt is on land, seafood is fancy). she likes to dance despite not being very elegant, but her priority is "the mission" which excludes "having fun" (tho her idea of fun is tag)

Sqweep's skin is like. dry slime. or putty texture. she is like a sterilised marshmallow if that makes any sense. smells like roasted walnuts or a burnt almond cookie

Reboot Headcanons

Coverton's legs are pretty weak compared to even the average of his species, Earth's atmosphere & gravity doesn't help either. so while he can stand, it's only for a brief time, it also fluctuates how long depending on the weather. he'd use his hoverchair or just put the spacesuit on, especially for going outdoors

‌can't stand saltwater, lousy swimmer, afraid of Earth's ocean & easily seasick

‌unlike show canon, his telekinesis is artificial & enhanced with technology

weighs like a bunch of grapes, flexible & hypermobile, near-sighted so he may wear contact lense

he carries out his rejuvenation cycle in a secure chamber, symptoms include excessive sliming ("sweat"), bubbling skin (boils), and flaking (desquamation is just the beginning). like the rest of his species, he was grown in a lab

like her parents and grandparents and great grandparents she's a super rich adult scientist that works as part of an interstellar organisation dedicated to protecting life harbouring star systems

a field researcher therefore planetary explorer, her job is to document & study life on Earth

likes romantic comedies, and loves all animals on Earth, but she's allergic to fur, which is devastating

since she does have a face and therefore is able to emote, I think the antenna colour coded light emoting is unnecessary. I'd like to find another place for it in relation to her but not her biology itself. she sparkles instead

pretty sure no bones (therefore no teeth), light as a cloud so a gust of wind could send her off like a tumbleweed, but I feel the density of her own body can regulate itself, depending on certain conditions? covered in fine fuzz, her nubby hands (tentacles?) hold things like itty bitty hooks

can't digest foods unless in the form of fluids, probably likes bland foods tbh. anything too flavorful would make her head explode

y'know maybe her species is. delicious. their "flesh" tastes like space mango, but cotton candy weight & texture 💀

some of the concepts I refer to for the most challenging and frustrating of the alien bunch, and today's look of her as I also went through & played with various designs

this version of Sta'abi is dropped on Earth to manage her "anger issues". her peers decided she needed to chill out, which is coincidentally the same day a vornicarn is brought into the world. as a hunter, she would've killed on sight, but after helping to capture it and being held captive by Area 5X herself, she starts to empathize with and eventually befriend the creature

Coverton eventually gets her to somewhat roam free in the facility and offers her a way off world but only if she helps him with his plans. he's not completely transparent about them and Sta'abi just wants to leave, she's already familiar with the empire he works for so there's some trust in his word

the males of her species have wings? is that canon? I feel like it's canon.. but in modern days they're just for show, can't fly but can glide and catch wind to hover, though only for so long as they're mostly small

came from the only egg that survived the initial meteor crash & wasn't frozen to death, laid dormant and got covered in the antartic ice until global warming exposed it millions of years later (which scientists soon discover but let the monster agents investigate as they have alien consultants)

He's a painter who came from a noble family of Seers. The future is revealed to him through his paintings. As if his hands has a mind of its own, it illustrates the reality of what's to come. He doesn't have visions of it and he never knows if the future that's revealed to him would be good or bad. He just knows that his paintings has never been proved to be false

In TKOBAI he was executed via decapitation for not obeying Alicia's order to use his Seer ability to predict the actions of her enemies. His blood would paint the ground red. And it would be his final art piece.

In TGED, a lot his paintings involved a certain brown hair civil engineer. He gets a bit tired of being shown the same guy over and over but hes glad to know that this man is trying his hardest to bring peace to the world. He eventually retired and lived a quiet life with his family

Kalei

Hailing from a small village in Sortino Barony, she's a self taught... mage? She wouldn't exactly call herself one. But either way, she can manipulate the mana around her. She always had a fascination of its correlation with life. Too bad that same fascination is also what lead her to lose her home village.

One day she was just attending the village gathering to welcome the autumn season. Then she felt a sudden surge of power roaming inside her, gradually increasing in volume. Her small body couldnt handle this huge abrupt supply of mana inside her and she could feel herself coughing until her lungs hurt, until her throat burns, until red liquid poured out. She could hear muffled screams before she blacked out. Something happened in between that and she couldnt remember. All she knows is that when she opened her eyes, everyone (but her) in the village lay lifeless and cold; her parents not excluded.

She spent the next years trying to survive by herself. It's just a good thing she had plenty of knowledge and crafty hands to aid her

In TKOBAI she would spend the rest of her remaining years alone in the forest, isolated from any human interaction. The feeling of impending doom lingers in the air. Her forest companions whisper of death and despair outside the woods, yet she's not concerned anymore. She only wonders when the sunlight would finally peek through the dark clouds. After all, her plants need sunlight to grow

In TGED she wandered north and eventually arrived to the Frontera Estate. She was given a warm welcome by the people that she met and they even gave her a place to live, food to eat, and.. a job. She doesnt complain much about it though, she's glad that her ability to help plants grow is more useful than ever now

I created Kalei before Fred, but her lore is still unfinished compared to Fred whose story I felt is already pretty solid. The one i kinda struggle to figure out with is how exactly did she absorbed the life out of the people in her village ತ⁠_⁠ತ

I was thinking maybe.. she picked up like an ancient relic when she was playing in the forest near her village thinking it was another pretty rock for her collection. And the celebration triggered the relic to activate. Basically a pebble sized life absorption relic used in ancient times during a war or somthn

But anyway, random facts about Kalei:

Shes that weird kid who would torture bugs by slurping their mana out of them, watch them writhe, and when theyre in the brink of passing away, she would return their mana. Shes done this to plants too. It's rather cruel but shes literally just a morbidly curious child (⁠・⁠–⁠・⁠;⁠)⁠ゞ Guess she had a fascination with how abrupt a being's life could end (funny how that is considering her backstory lol) She has done the opposite of if this too tho! Sometimes, she would give them (specifically plants) a piece of her mana and watch as they grow a teensy bit faster than before

She likes collecting rocks that she thinks looks cool. There's a corner in her room dedicated to them

She has a cane because she has a limp in her right leg. It developed after The Incident™ she tripped and sprained her ankle. Never bothered to treat it because she thought that it'll just go away on its own. It never did tho. Instead, it got worse. It's to the point that she couldnt bare to put pressure on it. In TKOBAI she straight up just amputated her leg and crafted a handmade prosthetic. However, in TGED, she did get it treated but the damage has already been done

She had to fight a squirrel for acorns once. It was not a fun memory. And not only that, she had to fight with a lot of forest critters for food. Ate a lot of dubiously edible food. I think her taste buds are dead at this point. In general tho, she was dubbed a menace to the forest creatures and they made sure to stay away from her path

A SHOW IDEA THAT I WANT TO MAKE REAL ONE DAY (really long post)

this is gonna be a HUGE little rant thing because i love talking about my ideas, future ideas, concepts. etc etc

i just realized i never said anything about this but uhh, for months ive been dreaming on wanting to make this string (I've always had in mind) come true

at first it was going to be a joke play with the huge inspiration of gumball. hes based on this joke episode i made called "Lil H". a baku inspired series (by sethical)

at the first point, he was literally gonna be called Lil h, LITERALLY. but I thought of a different name for him, and i named him "douglas dinget". it was a stupid name. the first image is the first concept idea i had for him if i actually wanted to take his design seriously . (its uhm... pretty old!). second image is the actual concept drawing when i thought of him having his own show (not a serious design take obviously LOL)

for 2nd image, he's just sonic but with a square cap hat, long gloves, basically a frickin recolor/edit LOL. it was funny when I imagined how he would look if I animated him and the background is just a realistic school. and then i thought of making his name "douglas tucker". i think him having that name is pretty cool and funny

his inspiration is a mixture of a chibi figure (like gumball) and his animations would be peanuts esque. like the way how he would walk, run, slip, etc etc. BASICALLY how peanuts characters are animated. i really loved imagining that as a test animation for this design, never really did it tho. im still learning animation

now this is where i suddenly had a new idea. i imagined "what if douglas had a girlfriend and she was a cactus? because cactuses and hedgehogs are spiky.." and this is where the design comes in

her name is KATHERINE STERLING!!!!! OMLLLL!!! (also a HALF redesign on Douglas)

this was the third character i thought of tho. second character is a "My melody" rip off LOL. (which she WILL be redesigned soon)

PERSONALITIES!!!

DOUGLAS: Douglas is normal about almost everything. it would be VERY rare to see douglas scared. he is extremely calm about stuff. he is tough. he doesnt take his rage out on anyone. even if some people would try to start a fight with him. he's a strong teen and he KNOWS he would knock someone out with one punch. its rare for him to get angry because he knows how strong he is. Lets just say hes kind of the opposite of gumball. Gumball can sometimes get scared when someone is raging at him (mostly people he knows who are STRONGER than him.) hes basically a wimp LOL. douglas is the opposite of that basically. douglas just does his own without meeting any new kid unless if they want to meet him (its best for him to wait if someone wants to be friends with him first)

KATHERINE: Katherine Is a very nice and polite person. but she can overreact sometimes and get mad at douglas if he says or does something that she doesnt like at all, especially if douglas makes a joke compliment to her. she basically hits douglas multiple times on the head. usually when she does that to her friends it hurts them but douglas barely feels anything when she does it to him LMAO

HADIZA: She trys to act tough like douglas despite the fact that douglas doesnt even try to act tough at all. she basically has the personality of gumball a little bit. she trys to stand up and be a more "scarier" person, trying to scare the big character. but when the big character makes a furious noise back at her, she would bunny hop away from them fast

CLAIRE: like i said earlier, "She could overreact a lot. she doesnt do stuff harmful or anything, like causing damage and other stuff like that. shes not THAT aggressive basically."

JACKSON: Jackson Is, to put it in short, a bit of a asshole. LMAO. basically jackson is always tired and can sometimes have aggresive tones. its very common for him. douglas has gotten use to his aggressiveness because theyve being friends ever since they were in kindergarten. Jackson has been getting tired of the world throughout the years.but luckily douglas and jackson are always staying communicated everyday. they never missed a single day not communicating. they are basically BEST best friends.

Toddy's redesign!

(I'm gonna start making these redesigns and rewrites for the characters of fnafhs for an AU that I'm making where the characters are a little more closer looking to their fnaf counterparts and act more like them)

Toddy in my AU:

*Is a permanent part of the toys

*is not interested romantically with Bon, but they are still childhood friends

*She likes music but she's bad at playing instruments

*Like og Toy Freddy, she's a gamer

*personality wise: Toddy is a very strong mined character, she hates being told that's she's wrong and it's actually very creative, so when it comes to criticize something she'll be ruthless, not because she's mean but because she wants things to go to their full potential.However when she's with people she knows it can make her very insecure to be told off, she's rather in the lonely part of social relationships since most people has called her mean most of her life, so don't expect much of her talking after a fight. (Hates being alone). She's still rather foolish when it comes to things like school work but it's not that she can learn it, she just get bored easily so she prefers to do it with someone else (expect a studying sleepover as her plan)

*Storyline wise: Toddy applies in FHS highschool after she got into a fight in her old school, so her father send her to the same school as Bon so he could "teach her some manners" since he would always be more calm that her. Toddy is excited but what she didn't expected was that Bon would make more friends that her after a year without seeing eachother, making her kinda get defensive with them, Bon tries to join her to their band since they where getting scared that The Animatronics could win the music festival of this year so they needed something new, but she fails miserably to play an instruments She's still rather happy even tho she missed everything since her dream as a kid always was either being a model or a pop star, but then the canon argument of the toys happens with her not plugin the earphones so naturally she's mad at them. Even since that in every rehearsal that they have she criticize everything of their abilities, calling them underwhelming and boring, she's not dumped of the team but at some point Bon calls her off and tells her that's she's being too much with them and Toddy explotes calling him a bad friend and telling him everything she heard, then leaves before he can tell her anything. She decides that she doesn't wanna keep getting called dumb or useless by anyone anymore and plans revenge, but since she can play instruments she decides to use one of the songs that she heard of them and starts to change things on the computer. She starts to hangout with other people but one day Bon apologizes for what he did, but Toddy wasn't still mad, since no other member of the band was here to apologize, not until Bon gives her a box, signed by everybody in the band that explains why they sorry that contains the "Toys sleeves" for Toddy to become an official member. She's touched by this and in return she lets Bon hear the remixed song, this finally lets her participate in the production of the music and she's finally happy to be chasing her dream with friends this time around

*Toddy and Chica were in the same school last year, expect a rivalry with an apology later

*Since I like to mess with Eddo's lore yo lucharé por mis sueños in my AU is a toddy song

*Toddy's instrument is computer synthesizer, making the Toys music to go from regular pop to electro pop

*Still no romantic partner decided, since I don't know if nightmare Bonnie would fit her now

reasons as to why Wild is now wearing green So first off youll notice he is infact not wearing the champions tunic when everyone else is wearing there main tunics

thats because age is wearing ig and I specifically do not want Wild wearing the champions tunic for not just that reason but hes not a knight anymore atlest in this au there is ni more princess or queen and no more Hyrulien army there sre no more champions which is also why i wsnt Age and Wild to be very distictly diffrent because there worlds and lifes are so different

now originally I still had Wild in blue

For one no part of it was my design yes all of them are in there own tunics from game or whatever but there slightly personalized and designed to my liking in this design the only thing that is mine is the design of the hood that is an exact copy of the zoras tunic and thr royal gaurds pants which i hated so much

so just do your own design of the zoras armor

but why the zoras armor

it was a random choice really maybe cas it was blue or maybe cas it was made by mipha but thats not like a ship im going for and ive already established i want age and wild to be as diffrent as possible so why did i do it

i have no fucking idea

but i do know another reason i hate it is a similar problem the designers had in making link originally its noted in the creating a champion book that they needed to keep him regatnixable as link, and zoras armor if your in the fandom sure but if your not then thats not link to you.

so its a big no go

its when i finally used the tunic of the wild. Now why did i choose the tunic of the wild, its although not thr most popular armor still his green tunic, diffrent from age and very very very easy to play around with and differentiate from the other links. But also the meaning that the tunic has not only is it described as a tunic that diffrent adventurers wore it also proves the hard work he did that he deffited sll the fucking shrines he collected wll the koroks wnd just helps add to that wild i fucking did it sll nature hes supposed to have

But okay wtf was this 2nd design

i just added a bunch of diffrent aspects of different outfit peices ontop of the champions. Tunic, and i fucking hated it. I had the logic of oo i cant draw him in every single outfit so ill just put them all into one snd it was ugly also again no originality to it

so i settled on the one i showed you at the top

i still added refrences to the champions leather but i just though it looked better this way more simple

i did do a design of him in the champions lesther tho

Now im able to get away with it looking diffrent from age cas its cannon that zelda had to remake the tunic so it can be new and diffrent

I made ages simpler and more like the game cas i felt it fit better no spefic reason really

i also did not relize i used the same undershirt as in the champions leather cas i based it off of the orginal one

So yeah that is my silly reasoning as to why i redesigned wild 3 times and why he is now in green

anyways here's a little list of my husk and his family hcs (mostly related to him being russian because im russian and i will immediately project my russian-ness onto any russian character i see in the distance)

there will be stuff about his childhood in russia/ussr here and i know it's said he grew up in las vegas by viv or something but fuck that shit i rewrote that because i can

- he definitely had a very kind grandma, babooshka even. she was very tactile and gave him hugs and kisses all the time. she's almost the only one husk ever allowed to do so. she also wore a headscarf a lot of babooshkas still wear for some reason...

i mean, there actually is a reason (in the older days it was considered indecent to show up in public with your head uncovered, it's not really the case anymore, but some babooshkas, especially ones that originally come from villages, still wear headscarves on their head - it just became a habit ig. also the headscarf is a pretty great protection against cold, it covers your neck and your head) but whatever. and since husk died in the 70s this was definitely still a thing his babooshka'd do.

although i think he still wears it in hell in my redesign

it's a pretty old thing that's not really a necessary thing to celebrate but anyways - it's a whole week that symbolizes saying farewell to winter and welcoming the spring!

also there's a straw man getting burnt but that's not something people necessarily do nowadays.

i mean, im not sure if they do it now actually, i remember one time when i was little they actually burned a big straw man in the park or something (it wasn't really dangerous there's usually snow outside on maslenitsa)

but i wasn't around that park for a while so im not sure if it still happens

anyways i think husk would get a random ass straw man and burn it every year and everyone would be too confused/scared to stop him

vanessa (my name for v*ggie) would try to stop him but charlie said it's "important to him" and he "looks happy" or something

also people celebrate maslenitsa by baking blini! it's a thing similar to pancakes but

thinner and just a bit different in general

(they may look a bit burned sometimes but they aren't, trust me, that's just how they look)

- they barely talked after that because they lived far away from each other, she couldn't even come to say bye before he. yk. the relationship they had was pretty good tho.

- she's in heaven too, she died around her forties-fifties in the 1990s-2000s after getting into a car crush

his grandma was a pro at card games/tricks so she taught him a lot, that's mostly why he loves it so much

- because of his childhood being poor he tried to get a lot of money in his adulthood and after retiring because of old age from a typical 9 to 5 job at a factory he eventually took on gambling

- oh yeah his parents kinda sent him and his siblings off to live with his maternal grandma, so his childhood was mostly filled with russian and christian traditiona

- his mom was russian, his dad was an african immigrant, so him and his siblings were mixed

- because of his dad being an immigrant and all of his relatives staying behind he never met dad's side of the family

- he wasn't a victim of racism as often as some of his siblings because he was more "white-passing" than them (his skin was still pretty dark but not as much as his siblings') it still happened tho

- didn't really explore his sexuality (or really knew about the existence of gay people) or gender (he's agender for me hfhk) until showing up in hell

- oh he definitely had a grey beard and grey hair when he was alive. maybe even started balding a bit? lol idk

- was/is in deep depression. i mean, this one is pretty obvious.
