Nah, after this last Red Hood: Outlaws episode (oct 10), I'm not convinced anymore. It started well, the first few episodes were fun and the tone was good, but now it's all over the place, Jason is totally OOC as is Bruce, the art is sometimes stunning, sometimes just uncanny valley super weird (what the heck is going on with Artemis - one panel she's gorgeous, the next she's just... totally out of proportions), and don't get me started (again) on Jason's depiction, that is absolutely not my boy. Oh, and yeah, the pace is glacially slow. And why is there romance signed an aromantic who very much HC Jay as aro ace sorry not sorry.
To everyone who is still enjoying it: I hope you continue to do so!

having thoughts about the marinette and nathalie hug because like.
my god.
marinette's just had her world turned inside out
she's just a kid and how's she supposed to carry all this alone and what is she supposed to do and what does she tell adrien?
and then, suddenly, there's someone there to share the burden. an adult. someone who has a reputation for getting things done
so maybe, just this once, everything doesn't have to balance on marinette's shoulders alone
but it's nathalie--who, sure, adrien obviously cares about. but not someone marinette's at all close to. certainly not someone she probably thinks of as warm or parental or even very trustworthy. maybe marinette's even started to put the pieces together--if gabriel was monarch, then mayura must have been...??
those doubts seem insignificant when she actually sees nathalie
the last time marinette saw her, she was dying. and now marinette knows what gabriel wished for--at least some of it. she knows he did one good thing in the end. that he finally, to some degree, put adrien first
then another horrible truth dawns on marinette: nathalie doesn't know--of course she was aware gabriel was dying, but she still doesn't know he's dead
marinette's probably already thought up a hundred different ways she might break the news to adrien--even if she discarded them all just as quickly. she hasn't thought at all about breaking the news to nathalie
what's she supposed to say? however complicated things were in the end, gabriel was obviously someone nathalie cared about
marinette struggles to find the words, but nathalie just knows. she already suspected, because how would she be here if gabriel was as well? and now the truth's written all over marinette's face
it's not just marinette who needs that hug--though nathalie would probably never admit it, which is why it's marinette who's running to her
how many weeks has adrien been gushing to nathalie about marinette? about how she's so creative and strong and compassionate and full of love
and in that moment, nathalie understands

I am absolutely OBSESSED with the Imperator breed I would be so grateful for any scrap of info you wish to spare 🙏🙏🙏 Atrocitas is GORGEOUS
Thank you!!! And trust me if I weren't working 12-hour shifts I'd have already posted a full ref sheet alongside the roi-de-vitesse one 😔
But i can share some notes for now
Additional note: their breed name comes from the shape of their tail featuring a leaf-shaped blade resembling the spear used by soldiers during the early Roman Republic
Also their classification of heavyweight is based on Roman era standards and for a good portion of the early middle ages when dragons were smaller. In the modern era (at the time of Skies over Jura and canon Temeraire) they're comparable to a large middleweight
Here's some concept art that's already slightly outdated but I haven't managed to draw more yet

What a difference a few years makes...
Rook at age 17-18 vs age 26 & Val at age 17 vs age 32
Not a whole lot changed appearance-wise for Rook, except for getting a few more ear piercings and a lot more scars (most of which you can't even see in these pictures). And he started wearing rings/necklaces, which you can't really see. And started wearing increasingly slutty shirts.
Val also gained a scar or two, plus several tattoos. Their horns were broken when they were 17, so pre-17 they had full horns. Oh, and the eyepatch. That's a big one. And they got enough money to buy themself a big hat and a lot of fancy coats.

i've been obsesing over a tlt twilight au solely because of the silly edit with harrow seeing alecto alla bella seeing edward and.
it's so silly and dumb but gideon being the vampire and ianthe being the werewolf and they both obsessively pin over the weird loner wet rat harrow that just moved into town. i wanna say camilla, palamedes, dulcinea (the real one), protesilaus, jeannemary and isaac are part of the same family, all vampires, with abigail and magnus being the parental figures (basically the cullens). the third and second houses i'm thinking are all the werewolves, maybe the eight too. i just love the idea of ianthe and coronabeth being raised to maybe one day both take over the pack until they find out coronabeth is in fact not a werewolf.
john and all the remaining of the first would be the volturi ofc but all the cavaliers would actually be alive? i haven't thought that far.
