i am keeping very up to date with what y'all are doing over there and so far i've been delighted by the idea that, while half of the school's named population is experiencing a prolonged hatecrime in a french catholic school, the other half will be running away to nonconsensual join a circus led by a catboy and nick wilde's humansona. i don't know enough about him to have any major thoughts, but rollo was so fun and it seems like they'll be going just as hard for this event as they did for the glorious masquerade. any event with an ortho ssr is bound to slap and i have no reason to doubt that honest fellow (because i refuse to disrespect such a brave naming choice) will contribute to that.

i don't usually read translations for events but i think i might at least find a summary or something, this time. there's just something about a deceptively charming ringleader with a habit of luring people into his pocket-reality fantasy land that feels like it would go really well with what i do here.

Tbh it seems to me to be talking more about the entire basis of purgatory as a team-based competition, not necessarily about intentionally making the teams as unbalanced as they ended up being. But anyways, wanted to share the original message to you since you were looking for it! And either way theres huge problems structurally in the server organization for sure, and full support to Lea and the admins.

They continued to talk and you recognized the familiar sound of water bottles being filled before they made your way to you. "Evening Sweetheart," Soap commented and gently moved your legs off the couch to sit.

"Not in the mood, Soap," you mumbled as you adjusted yourself and he laughed. "141's sweetheart has an attitude," he chided and you rolled your eyes. "Why do they call you 'Sweetheart' anyways?" Gaz asked, joining on an adjacent chair. "Some fucking guys in my squad thought it was hilarious," you replied, with an emphasis on your last word. You hated the callsign, something that followed you throughout basic and into selection. Your all-male squad thought it was a great idea to call you the group's sweetheart and the name stuck. The misogynistic atmosphere was one of the downsides to the job but you tried to ignore it the best you could. "I bet they thought she was a barrack bunny," Soap joked and you put down your phone to shoot daggers at him. Gaz even hit his leg lightly but the petulant sergeant continued.

"So tell me, Bonnie," he asked in a sarcastic tone, "were ya one?" You scoffed at his question and you swore you could feel your eyes roll. You took a moment to internalize your anger before replying. "Don't have to be such a bitch about it, Mactavish," you replied coldly before gesturing your hand in a 'go away' motion. Before he could bite back at your response, Ghost interrupted. "Get a shower, Soap, you smell like shit," he responded and everyone realized he had taken a position at one of the tables in the room. A Practical Discussion of Eligible MDZS Bachelors During the Second Life

So I keep seeing discussions floating around about like "why aren't any of these people married" and "are JC's standards too high?" and other assorted nonsense, so I have decided to put together a ranking of like "if a practical minded historical* woman wanted to get ahead politically with the LEAST amount of #suffering, what rankings would she give these guys." Because I've been really fond of @dangermousie's poll options, I'm calling this girl Potato.

*Historical fantasy more or less given that we assume that Potato is also a cultivator.

Jiang Cheng There are many reasons for this but 1) Jiang Cheng's in-laws consist entirely of (1) bratty nephew who doesn't even live at his house full time, 2) there are no other meddling in laws or sect elders given that Jiang Cheng is the only one! 3) he is reasonably good looking, well off, and has social status by this point in the story. Potato can probably win over a bratty nephew! Downsides include: if Potato doesn't like spicy foods oh dear, but honestly we don't know what Potato's spice tolerance is so it could still work out!

Nie Huaisang: Being married to NHS would be an exercise in perpetual embarrassment, and it's unclear if his budget line items ever since Da-ge died are any more detailed than "Summertime Sadness." There are worse people to marry, but why anyone (including Potato) would willingly choose to marry NHS for political benefit eludes me. He is ranked higher on this list than any Lan largely for the sake of "his mom was probably not in solitary confinement" and "there are likely no dietary restrictions present in his house." but the other downsides include "he's probably going to go INSANE" at some point but silver lining on that front is that he's really not a very good cultivator, so it probably won't be as bad as NMJ's insanity bender? Potato could rank him lower than any Lan options tbh.

Lan Xichen There are also many reasons why Mr. Zewu-jun is not an ideal marriage candidate for practical reasons but this largely has to do with his family. There's 33 favorite grandpas who seem to have opinions on the regular. The in-law trouble would suck tremendously. There's 5am wakeup calls and 9pm bedtimes and no meat or alcohol. There's like between 3000-4000 rules Potato will have to remember and actually follow! His mom spent her entire married life mysteriously in solitary confinement. #Yikes!

This seems like an unwise place to marry into. Potato could do better.

Lan Wangji See above except for the part where he doesn't even like Potato and only thinks about WWX all day.

How to Print Embroidery Stencils Directly onto Fabric

This was requested, and I'm often asked how I do this so here's a short how to! I do almost all my stencils this way, and avoid "stick and stitch" wash away stabilizers as much as possible. I work with a lot of detail, and I've found this is the best way to capture it all. I use a basic canon inkjet printer. Nothing fancy. I make all my stencils in procreate from reference photos.

Firstly you're going to need regular 8x11 sheets of label paper. Find the fabric you want to use and stick the whole sheet straight on. Smooth out your fabric as much as possible to ensure there's no folds or wrinkles so your pattern doesn't distort or your sheet doesn't jam your printer. Lint roll it too to get rid of any extra fuzz or hair.

Cut off the edges of excess fabric to the exact size of your sheet. Make sure there are no threads hanging off. This fabric is going to stay on this sheet until you're done.

BEFORE I load the fabric into my printer, I have to format how I want the stencil to print. I want to adjust the margins to center the image, and then I play with the scale to figure out how big I want to work. I was going to be finishing this piece in a 6 inch hoop, so I had to ensure it would frame how I wanted it to. However, when I'm actually working, I work with a 7 inch hoop(it's easier on my hands). The one downside to this method is that I cannot go any larger than this(personally I don't usually work larger than 6 so it works). You need to make sure you have margins all around your working hoop so that you can tighten the fabric.

Once you've got your desired size and centered presets, load the fabric, still on the label paper, into the printer. For most printers this will be fabric side down. Then, print! Voila, you have your stencil directly on your fabric. Peel it off the sticker paper (this is the hardest part tbh), it's normal to end up with really frayed edges to the fabric sheet during this process. You won't see those on your finished piece.

There you have it. Stencils, printed right onto fabric. Happy stitching!

Side thoughts:

-i have never had this jam or screw up my printer. That's not to say it's impossible. I take the risk because so far it's worked great for me.

-i do not ever wash my pieces or get them wet. So I cannot say if the ink would or would not run on the fabric or thread. Keep that in mind.

-the fabric I use is either Kona cotton or a slightly thicker canvas material. I've never tried with anything else.

Tutorial: How I Render Accents

PART 2: COLORS

I usually do not recommend 'pixel hunting' aka going over your work with a fine tooth comb and picking out stray pixels to erase. However, for setting up a proper base layer for accents it is imperative to do so.

To explain my method of color blocking: I select everything outside of the lines, invert that selection, then fill in. This does a more accurate job than going into each and every section and filling them all in individually, and is also significantly faster. Only downside is small sections like above where you can see bits of the green (which I use bright green against a dark grey background to contrast the base color, lines, and background) poking out, as well as the inner section where it filled in a spot I did not want filled in. Getting all of this right in this stage will make your life easier as you go. (It's also the method I use to color block all my work, even beyond accents)

Now this where my style of rendering color may come off intimidating and, tbh it might be. I do gradients first and then I color over them with "normal" blend layers. I typically don't use multiply layers unless I'm shading something that has a lot of textures. If this scares you, it's okay I'll keep walking you through it. Here, my gradient goes from a pastel but deep periwinkle, to a soft more cyan blue, then to a lighter pastel green. Skipping steps and going from the periwinkle to green will give it a different look. There's also hints of a pinkish tone as an accent color.

So as I said, these additional layers are done with regular "normal" blend mode layers. I've placed one in between the butterfly line art and the line art for the rest of the flowers, and then an additional layer under everything else. This allows me to create a glow effect specifically around the butterflies, and then specifically under the flowers. Going back and forth with the proper amount of opacity (by using the airbrush transparently) helps to make it glow but not be Too Loud. Also checking it against a dark background can help to check for spots where it spills past the borders, as well as really gauge how Bright it is. I've also color matched the butterflies with the flower pits and the bulbs. This adds extra cohesion and makes them all look uniform but different enough with the gradients.

The stages of how I render gems/dew drops. Take the base color, make it a bit darker and less saturated (as well as changing the hue a bit depending on what the default color is. For yellows I go more orange/red, for blues I go more purple or even pink. It depends), add a small drop light at the bottom thats a fairly saturated version of the base color, and then a stark white/ near white highlight. That's it. Don't over complicate it, it will not matter when it gets shrunk down. Note that I do not use multiply/overlay/screen layers for these types of things as it adds too much bulk to the files and doing it manually helps to strengthen your color theory skills.

For shading and rendering, again, I create a "normal" layer and simply. Draw over what exists. Color picking and hand blending allow me to create the exact shades and effects that I want that multiply/screen/overlay layers may not be able to achieve. (which isn't to say I dont use them! i just don't use them for the main meat and potato part of my coloring) All of what is shown here is also achieved with the CSP asset SOIPEN (which can be found for free in the asset store)

another example. The one on the right is showing how the layer looks without the gradient base layer under it. All of this is rendered by hand. I also specifically put a highlight color around where the butterfly is sitting to give a better illusion that it is properly sitting on the flowers rather than just in front of them.

Next is changing the color of the lines, if needed. A method i'll use is I color just the sections I want (on a separate clipping layer) then lock that layer's alpha setting to them add in a gradient. It's a small and subtle effect that adds more depth without doing a lot of effort. (work smarter not harder)

Now we get to the Polish Layers!

first image is how it looks as a base. second image is with an overlay layer applied. I've used some dark purples and mid tone desaturated greens to push the values a bit further (especially evident on the top left wing) Third image is with a screen layer applied, highlighting the inner most part of the flowers and adding some additional bounce light.

An important thing to note about making accents vs making full coverage skins: OPACITY AND LAYER TYPES MATTER OVER TRANSPARENT SPOTS. What I mean by this is that if you use a soft, light grey to shade with a multiply layer, don't clip it to anything, and have it go outside the lines - that will no longer appear as a 'shadow' when it comes to the final result. Instead you will have a section of soft light grey that is simply laid on top of whatever the image under it is. The same applies for overlay/screen/add layers and so on. If i use a very dark color on a screen layer (to give a soft highlight) and airbrush it over a bunch of stuff and don't clip it, it will end up with this horrible dark splotch over everything that isn't opaque. To this end, mastering normal layers is imperative to having well rendered and convincing accents.

Another thing of note: when it comes to sparkles/small details, note how 'large' the sparkles behind the butterflies are. They seem a bit chunky, yeah?

this is what they look like at proper size. If anything, I could have gone larger on the small metal beads connecting the dew drop jewels to the lace.

Another trick I also like to do is this:

a slight hint of transparency! It's just enough to let the dragon's lines underneath show through but not enough to be super noticable. I like to do this a lot when it comes to sparkly and magical effects.

Next is the worst part of all: destroying all that beautiful hard work with the shadow and line art layers! (sobbing)

This stage always agonizes me. This is my first pass of the shadow/line layers and let's hope it's dark enough.

But yeah that's a start to finish look at how I create my accents. Unfortunately a lot it devolves into needing to know, yknow, line weight and silhouette importance, color theory and the ways that drawing applications actually apply color to a png vs how its rendered in app. All of these things impact the finesse of the accent, and are things you do have to learn gradually over time, but hopefully this has given yall some additional insight and perhaps some helpful tips.

And this should also explain why I get so mad when people go 'hey can I get this accent in another color' no! no you literally can't!

I dress hilariously frum for someone who isn't even orthodox, like:

Exhibit A: today I wore a long black skirt, black leggings with sneakers, pale green long-sleeved crewneck shirt, silver magen david necklace and tichel.

Exhibit B: yesterday I wore a dark grey suit dress with a shell underneath, leggings, tichel, Oxford flats, and suit jacket.

This is just... how I prefer to dress tbh? I value tzniut and I've been covering my hair for about a decade, well before I even started converting, and don't plan to stop now. Long A-line skirts with pockets and leggings underneath have all the benefits of pants without any of the downsides. Fully covering shirts mean I'm not self-conscious and am physically more comfortable pretty much always. I can move around without any fear of exposing anything I'm not comfortable with people seeing, I never have the same problems I used to with men treating me like an object (very important in my line of work what with all the men I have to stare down and have take me seriously), and physically I have relief from sun, sweat, rain, bugs, and humidity. Women feel safe around me and compliment my scarves, children sometimes are curious about them in a good way, men feel too ashamed to say anything sexual to me or give me creepy compliments, conservatives see me as Religious(TM) and liberals see me as non-Christian and therefore Marginalized(TM)/more likely to be a safe person. There are no downsides to this.

(Well okay actually the only downside to this is that I feel compelled to dress differently for marit ayin reasons when I'm doing something that is within my own Conservative practice but not up to orthodox halachic standards. But, y'know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

So as a kid, I took MSE (self-defense) classes, I did ballet for a short while, and I played badminton. But now I'm not really doing much sports anymore. I'm occasionally working out in a sad attempt to stay healthy but that's...not working out all that well because I keep forgetting about it lol. That being said, I walk anywhere as long as it's a walkable distance away (to me, that's around 90min max), idc it's the European mindset. Der Fußbus hält überall :)

When I pass strangers on the street, I try to look for little moments that bring them joy. My newest talent is being able to imitate the cry of an owl. My sister explained it to me earlier & once I got it to work I've been doing it non-stop until I got lightheaded 😭 Worth it tho Other than that, being able to teach myself the basics of a lot of things within a day (one of the upsides of ADHD), as well as abandoning a lot of my projects after a while because I suddenly decided to start a completely different one (one of the downsides of ADHD) I also have a real talent for writing angst. I used to have clownfish and a starfish, but other than that I've never had any myself. I love the dogs I dogsit with all my heart tho, and there is this cat that I sometimes meet on my way to work. She always runs up to me when she sees me and won't stop meowing until I start petting her, and last time she climbed onto my lap (I sat down in the middle of the sidewalk, I did not care lmao), she's literally the sweetest 😭😭 I also ring the doorbell for her whenever it rains so she doesn't have to stay outside lol

Heavily depended on the teacher, but generally art class because we usually got to work on whatever we wanted with and listen to music. Also English in 9th grade, math in 10th and German in 11th because the teachers were great

15 - Dream job?

I've been thinking of translations in general/software localizition for a while now. I just love dissecting all the small differences between languages (D.D.D.s being called 'D3' my beloved), + there are so many invisble choices made when translating. You'll always lose something because every language has its little quirks and a different mindset that can't be translated directly, but you'll also gain something that the original version didn't have. It's an art form in itself, and I really love that <3 The other job that keeps popping into my mind is event mangement. I already get to organize a ton of things for my uni since I'm part of the student council for one of my two majors. It's exhausting, but also really rewarding when you have people come up to you afterwards to tell you how much fun they had!

Why I think the foxes would be good (or absolute shit) at my sport (horseball, or as @rise-deepseamonster helpfully supplied, horse quiddich, been playing my whole life and it's the first time I hear someone refers to it as such, I love it 😂) :

-Dan : she's sporty, she's not too tall, she's probably flexible because she used to be a stripper and oh boy that takes strength AND flexibility. She'd do absolutely amazing, like small enough to not tire the horse, strong and nimble enough to get to the ball, A+ player right there

-Matt : uuuuuh he'll probably shit tbh, like sweetest dude in the arena ? Absolutely. But being tall and muscular is actually a downside in horseball cause we usually opt for small agile horses who can't really support this kind of morphology for a whole match and be efficient so yeaaaa....

-Allison : queen bitch on an expensive mare, she's ruthless, she's fast, she takes no shit. Also she already has the rich equestrian vibes, again A+ player, I want her on my team

-Renee : I can see her being a faux-calm and actually being a strategic demon in the arena, again she's not too tall, she's a fighter at heart which is absolutely NEEDED for that sport but it's incredibly balanced by her sweet temper which would do wonder with a horse, prime defense line rider.

-Kevin : yes but no, like the temperament is here, but too tall and for some reason I see him as a really stiff human, like he never heard of flexibility in his whole life 😂. Sorry Kev, you would have loved trying to run over someone with a horse cause they play like shit.

-Andrew : heck yes. Seriously dude's strong, he's also small (so yay to be able to ride a smaller more agile horses) and he would take absolutely no shit ever. I also think his chill and respectful of boundaries temperament would do absolute wonders with a horse, especially the hot blooded ones we have in this sport

-Aaron : yes....but no. Yes for the same morphology reasons as Andrew (duh) but idk, he gives scared of horses vibes (sorry babe)

-Nicky : probably a tad too tall but I don't see him as bulky so it might work, probably ok player but might have too much survival instinct to bend down to get the ball in the middle of galloping horse, idk.

It has its uses, admittedly. When you were ambushed by Bhaal worshippers in Bloomridge Park, and an innocent woman was struck down by one of them, his subsequent attacks were absolutely devastating. You could've stood back and left him to it, and he would've more than managed.

The fact he looks rather pretty when he's angry is an additional bonus; all tense muscles and sharp breaths. You blame your physical reaction to watching him fight on the fact he's the first male tiefling you've been around for an extended period in years. And now you're here. Next to a seething Rolan, in front of a Flaming Fist Sergeant, being slowly surrounded by other Fists as they take note of the commotion.

Rolan scoffs, seemingly intent on digging his own grave. "Bullshit , I meant every fucking word. They call us Foulbloods but these imbeciles probably can't tell a shit from a stew."

He's going to get you killed, for sure, but the fact he's willing to fight a crowd of people because they insulted you is unfairly attractive. Stupid. Dangerous. But really fucking attractive.

As soon as your feet hit solid ground again you break into a sprint, dragging Rolan with you as he makes an indignant noise behind you. You hear the group shout, and the thunder of footsteps on the pavement as they pursue you.

Luckily, clad in robes compared to their metal plating, you and Rolan are quicker. You drag him through a few side streets, and then at the last minute you duck into an alleyway. It's a tight squeeze, but it's better than nothing.

You hiss your admonishments through your teeth at him in an attempt to keep your volume down. "What the fuck were you thinking, Rolan? I thought wizards were meant to be smart! You almost got us fucking killed!"

His eyes widen in shock, and he hisses through his teeth back at you as he argues. "Are you joking? What was I doing? You're the one that fucking walked into him! Besides, did you hear what he fucking called you? I can't believe you just-"

"Shut up!" He's raising his voice with every word and you have no idea how close behind you they are. "Of course I heard, but the middle of the street isn't the ideal spot to pick a fight with a group of Flaming Fists! They would've fucking flattened us!"

He scoffs, "as if, I fucking had them."

"Oh sure , sorry, I forgot how great and mighty you are. You obviously could've taken on a crowd of twelve blokes with military training."

He grits his teeth, "I still will if they fucking find us, what sort of hiding place is this anyway? If they spot us we're fucking cornered."

Kakania as seen with the post-journey art is likely following/ accompanying Marcus as her assistant (or something like that, all we can say deffo is that Kakania will actively avoid Isolde, like that one Wilderness interaction oh god thats so sad).

Lucy joins the suitcase after being demoted (or holiday idk), makes modifications to her appearance as more human-like (her insight 2 design).

Can't say much on Argus so far, need their anecdote but likely after discovering whatever the truth was with Kayla.

Joe, Pioneer, Mercuria AND Sputnik likely join later after the events of 2.0,2.1,2.2 since Vertin is in Brazil and Matilda's journey was just before Vertin reached Texas. Similar thing with Barbara unless we see her in 2.2.

Still no idea on Eternity, but likely she joins the suitcase wayyyy later since we know Matilda is a frequent visitor (cough. victim) of the suitcase and had not met Eternity until 2.0. Already confirmed she joined at least some point after Marcus with their comic.

Its actually very convenient to pair up Lilya and Vertin to travel long distances, the only downside being if Red-38 suffers damages then they are on foot.

For the 2.2 gang, Anjo likely under goes the process of testing and watching similar to Isolde, Tuesday and Jessica (if anything shes probably the nicest and safest person to be stuck in a room out of the lot, unless shes under orders to kill you or somethin). It will be interesting when she joins since we now can confirm she met Matilda and Joe, how Joe and Anjo might interact after 2.0 and Argus after 2.1.

Mr Duncan and White Rum I would say the same deal, join after a while. Mr Duncan is the most interesting since its confirmed he is human and with the Umbrella from 1.9 he will be the second human Vertin saves if a Storm comes to Brazil (I have a feeling it might tbh, either this patch or next). Potentially the first human to survive the Storm in the suitcase with the Umbrella maybe?

We now know the suitcase can change format so maybe big big lore implications here once we get the ability to change the lobby (wild guess if Bessmert Martha Urd is the original owner of the suitcase maybe teaches Vertin how to? Or she just meets someone who knows about it?)

Ok so. Heres the general breakdown for attack types:

Basic attacks: These attacks just use the weapons that manifest during their magical girl transformation. Theres no limit to using these. They don't utilize all that much magic but are still effective because the weapons are technically MADE of magic.

Ult attacks: Utilize more magic and have a recharge time of about 5 to 10 minutes (which is a pretty long time in a fight). They can only be used after quite a bit of practice, as they require the ability to channel a lot of magic in a short amount of time. A familiar and their person must be able to work together in order for it to be effective. The familiar has to be capable of funneling the magic to the caster, and the caster has to have experience CASTING it.

Specialized spells: Each one of these attacks is different from person to person. These don't necessarily have to be attacks, they can also be defenses or evasions. These are usually the most difficult for a caster to master and take even more magic than the Ult attacks. A magical girl typically uses it the first time on accident, during the heat of the moment where they are desperately drawing on more magic to defend themselves. After that it is a concentrated effort to cast these spells. It's usually a signifier that the magic is starting to settle in them and that they're ready to cast more. The recharge time for these spells is 10 to 15 minuites.

The recharge time for casting spells will decrease the more a caster is composed of magic... which is a post for later lmao. As much as I would love to get into the fun ship of Theseus glitter body horror in this post it would just take to long lmao but its COMIN EVENTUALLY I PROMISE.

Johnny is an excellent fighter because of his POWER and his RANGE. He's best suited to fighting merged ghosts because it's one big target to aim a lot of power at. His Ult spirals out from around him and can help prevent him from getting caught if a bunch of separate ghosts try to swarm him. The downside is that its harder to direct, and he's in danger of hitting teammates if they're in his range (which I said earlier is pretty large). His specialized spell conjures essentially a cannon of fire, which he can aim wherever he pleases. His magical recharge time is slightly shorter than he norm, and he strikes me as the type of person who would use them IMMIDIETLY after he recharges.

Johnny has trouble if he doesen't have enough room to move his Scythe around. He works best in big open spaces. Hallways and elevators and the like are a BIG nope.

Robbie is unique among the other ghost fighters because 1. He's the least experienced and 2. He probably has the MOST trouble getting along with his familiar (I cant see him and Eli getting along in any fuckin universe tbh). Because of this he's not as adept at channeling large amounts of magic. When he does try at an Ult attack it usually has a much smaller effect than the others (see top right with him swinging his hammer). This means he focuses mostly on non magical attacks; having two modes to use his hammers (regular and on the end of chains to give him range). He's not as powerful so he has to be more CREATIVE. His magical recharge time is about what I described at the top.

He fights best at close range and can use his chained hammers to drag enemies that are usually too far away closer to him (GET OVER HEREEEE fuck yeah mortal kombat). His big weakness is that his smaller weapons dont allow him to block as easily, so he needs to focus on dodging or using his specialized spell, teleporting, to get out for the way (mostly dodging though. he's not great at teleporting). He HAS to stay aware of his surroundings or he could get surprised very easily.

Im gonna need. A whole nother post to try and figure out how the charger fits into all this lmao.

Dannyyyy!!! His funky moon staff was so fun for me to think about. One idea that I thought of after getting everything drawn is him sticking it around a ghosts neck and using it to guide them around and use that ghost as a shield. He has similar weakness to Johnny in that he needs space to move and cast spells. His arm guards make him just the littlest bit more able to block attacks but he still primarily uses his staff to stop attacks from going through (most of the others do. Yayyyyyy spinny capabilities).

@moosemonstrous made the WONDERFUL suggestion of his specialized spell being THROWS ACID ON YOU THROWS SO MUCH FUCKING ACID ON YOU REDUCED YOU TO YOUR BASE ELEMENTS GET FUCKED NERD GET ACIDED cause of his green era lmfao. He really REALLY does not enjoy this and uses it as little as possible. His magic recharge time is also just a little shorter.

@rokhal YOUUUUU. You mentioned Frank having time manipulation like Homura from Madoka Magica and it spawned this whole class of spell I blame you for this.

Frank has the most experience with magical girling by FAR and its very apparent in his fighting style. He sometimes uses the magic manifested by preparing his Ult without actually COMPLETING the spell which is like. Fighting with RPG backblast in magical girl world.

Franks staff is more infused with magic than the other fighters weapons, which allows him to manipulate its length (Robbie does something to a similar effect with his chains at the cost of his magical attacks not being as strong. Frank has no such limits lol).

His specialized spell stops time for about 5 minutes. If he extends himself he can sometimes push this time longer but it is VERY tiring. He also has to be REALLY careful of his team mates movements. Positioning some metal shards for a ghost to fall onto is all well and good, unless Robbie manages to teleport directly onto it. His recharge time is much MUCH shorter than the others, it usually only takes him 2 minutes to recharge an Ult and 7 minutes to recharge his specialized spell (though that time does increase the more he uses it, so there are still consequences for expending that much magic)

ALSO CREDIT TO MOOSE AGAIN for starting the idea to have all of them be. Sort of afraid? of their specialized spells. Johnny is terrified that he will somehow manage to literally burn the, surprisingly sort of happy, life he's built to the ground. Robbie is scared one day he'll just pop out of existence entirely. That he'll just go to teleport and get stuck in the weird inbetween space of being composed of magic and thought without real form forever. Danny is almost too afraid to go near people while his spell is active because Please Jesus Christ don't get dissolved please please. Fuck this acid ability fuck it fuck this. Frank's is a nightmare and a dream in one. What if he finds a time so nice, so happy, that he just freezes it and gives everything he has to stay there forever? Hi! So, tbh I had a hard time choosing but I think I would go with Transformers Animated 2007, mainly bc THE AUTOBOTS ARE SO TINY 🤧

And overall it's a great twist to the story

(Although if you want to just pick whichever universe would suit me best)

Anyways, onto my personality:

I consider myself to be very outgoing and extroverted with a slight fear of confrontation (Be it known, if my guts tell me to run I'm out of there). Many people also say that my presence is extremely hard to ignore, that they relate me to the color yellow and I'm easy to spot on the crowd (probably bc I speak loudly and don't stop). I also like to see the nice in everyone and everything, and I am hopeful for stuff to change for the better.

On the downside, while I tend to be very happy overall, I have big moodswings where If I'm reminded of a big insecurity of mine (my weight, for example) I can get sad immediately. Also doesn't help that I'm a daydreamer and overthink a lot. Honesty would be a very important for there to be comunication in the relationship, although It's very easy to tell whenever I'm upset since I become cold and shut up.

In general, I do a lot of Physical contact (ofc, I ask first if the other person is comfortable with hugs and stuff) and like complimenting my partner.

Should also mention that I'm responsible but not organized, very carefree and silly

Hello pen friend! Handful of things!! 1) I got a kakuno pen and I like it! I learned I like broader nibs! I have since ordered a TWSBI eco with a broad nib! 2) have you used Noodler inks before? I wanna get a very very dark black ink for to use with my new pen for work uses, which means black only. 3) other ink reccs?

4) piston or eyedropper? 5) opinions on broad nibs, italic/stub nibs (the other choice I was leaning to on thicc lines) and then TWSBI (bc I know I asked for recs on pens before and did my own research on what I think I’ll like!)

2. i have, but i can't recommend them!! besides the guy who makes them being a huge right wing bigot his inks have awful quality control and people get moldy inks from him all the time. they do have a lot of gimmicky inks that can be enticing but lots of pen folks agree that his methods and ingredients are pointlessly experimental and may damage some pens.

you might like to look at pigment inks over dye based inks - they tend to be a lot more solid looking, water resistant once dry, and are generally more professional and serious. they do require a little more maintenance (pen cleanings, not being left in an unused pen, etc) as the pigment particles are larger than dye particles. i haven't tried it but platinum chou kuro and platinum carbon black look SUPER dark to me!

there are still more dye based inks that are very dark if you don't want to deal with pigment inks - there's Kaweco pearl black and private reserve ultra black (both very fast drying!)

3. i really adore sailor inks in general! besides being very high quality and beautifully coloured, they have this really lovely smell, a lot like good quality gouache or watercolour. also i really like the pilot iroshizuku line of colours, something about Ama-iro on a page just radiates happy summery blue swimming pool colour. photos don't do it justice at all!

4. i like the convenience of pistons and i like the capacity that eyedroppers have! downsides of pistons is they can break/need maintenance and downsides of eyedroppers is they're often 🤏this close to leaking all over the place (tbh im scared of themmm) i generally prefer pistons . twsbi pistons have it over any other mechanism imo

5. i love broad nibs and chisel nibs!!! i tend to like bright colours so the more that comes out of a pen the more i get to see it XD plus chisel nibs just FEEL so good!!! i adore twsbis, the piston as i mentioned (gotta love that huge capacity) the sleek design,the big clear portion & easy disassembly for maintenance, etc. they're fantastic! i own four and find myself tempted all the time by the newer colours (the coffee one....) i really really hope they come out with my particular shade of green someday (appley limey chartreuseish shade that i love so much)
