When the boys got in the night after their post-dance practice dinner they made quite the rabble.

It was 11pm so you knew they must’ve gone somewhere afterwards… maybe they treated the staff to a drink.

Your suspicions were confirmed when there was slow knock at your door and a man entering it before you could say anything.

“Yn-ie!” Yoongi proclaimed.

The closer he came the better you could smell the alcohol off of him.

“Have a nice time?” you asked with a small voice.

“Ah it was amazing, the food was delicious, the drinks were… well…” he laughed off his sentence.

“That’s good Yoongi” was all you said, not looking up from playing your Nintendo switch.

“I know noona and she wouldn’t do that. She was my old dance teachers assistant and she’s very well respected and trusted. Otherwise BangPD-nim wouldn’t have hired her” he was defensive now.

Now your stern, raised voices had attracted the ears of the others. You looked and saw them all gathered at your door, Jungkook now looking spooked standing behind Namjoon.

“She knows all about dance yn, I’m sure if she said anything it would be to help you out. Besides… once I found out it was her joining the team as an assistant, I was going to get her transferred to our choreo team”

“Gossiping to staff members about how I shouldn’t even be part of danceline isn’t helpful Hoseok! And if you do that she’ll never stop berating and belittling me!”

His jaw tightened at your shout and formal use of his name.

No one had a comforting word to say to try and diffuse the argument. Even Jin who usually always jumped to your rescue was standing with his mouth popped open, like he was trying to find a word but couldn’t.

“She made me question myself, should I even be an idol at all if I can’t do what I’m supposed to do without being laughed at….” you tried keeping your voice even and tears held in your eyes.

“Yn-ie…” Jimin came forward and reached for your arm but you pulled back, needing space.

“I can’t sleep here tonight. I’m going to see my friends”

“And your members just let you walk out the dorm like that?” Dahyun asked with wide eyes.

You were sat in your friends dorm, piled with blankets on the sofa and surrounded by comfort snacks and drinks. The TWICE girls were always hospitable no matter when you arrived, expected or not.

You nodded in response to Dahyun’s question.

“You don’t think I’m overreacting?” you asked.

“I think I’d cry too if a staff laughed at my dancing” Tzuyu said, knees pulled to her chest.

Everyone else hummed in agreement.

“Reminds me of that time we had that rude staff member the company hired for the Cheer Up comeback” Nayeon shivered, prompting a collective shiver from the members.

“She was fired after the comeback was over but my god she made that time hellish” Jihyo commented popping pieces of popcorn into her mouth.

“Hobi said he was thinking about making her part of the choreo team, probably even to keep her on after the Dynamite comeback is over” you said with a pout.

“But then she’d be permanent!” Dahyun said with another shock.

“I know” your pout deepened.

“Ah yn-ie, don’t worry too much okay? Besides why not you just become a member of TWICE, I’m sure ONCE’s would love you” Sana suggested with a smile.

You laughed at that, as if you could just transfer from one hit kpop group to the other with no problem.

“Okay let’s settle down and watch the rest of this kdrama before bed and help yn take their mind of things”

So that’s what you did for the rest of night. Except that half of the girls didn’t last long before falling asleep, and the other half got so frustrated that when the protagonists of the kdrama refused their feelings for each other for the 7th time, they had to call it a night.

Dahyun and Sana gathered all the pillows and blankets on their dorms L-shaped sofa for you to sleep over in a make shift bed.

Just the 7 of them were waiting around - stretching, talking, drinking their coffee and scrolling on their phones.

There was a bit of awkward silence as you entered the door and placed you bag on the floor with a thud, grabbing their attention.

Then they all rushed to you at once.

Rehearsals went smoother with Hobi taking it easy on the critiques and you all going in hard with the effort. You knew then it would be all just fine… it was nice to have your sunshine back and a privilege to have such protective members. You really were bangtan for life, you thought.

Zadie, Zadie, Zadie I know you said Poison bonus chapter, but may I recommend something even better, Hype Boy bonus chapter just in time for the one and only Jake Sim's birthday.

The feminine urge to write a fic for Jake's birthday is just too much, like my heart says do it, but my brain says finish your Sunghoon fic it's already at 51k and so close to being done.

I'm out of plot ideas for the moment, which like I've sent so many, instead just enjoy some thoughts for the moment.

Once they start dating y/n is quick to realize when Jay gets mad, rather than possibly yell and all at her, he'd just invite Sunghoon to go workout, getting his anger out that way rather than possibly hurting anyone with his words.

Jay is the type that once him and y/n start dating, he won't let either of them go to bed angry, it would hurt his ego, but he'd put himself aside and apologize for the argument even if it wasn't his fault. He'd apologize and just confuse y/n, since she's be just be like 'but I started the argument' and Jay's just like 'well I'm sorry I let you start an argument'. They definitely talk through everything, and Jay takes each and every word y/n says to heart. The boys definitely send that one picture that says 'me and bitch don't argue she tells me shut up and I do' to their gc and are all 'that's u Jay'.

Once y/n and Jay are dating, Sunghoon would find a reason to be at Jay's penthouse every night, just because he wants the good food. Jay would cook all the good food while y/n bakes all the amazing treats, Sunghoon calls them his parents at least once, probably in the gc at some point asking Jay 'what's for dinner', and when Jay's like 'why', he's like 'ur my parents and I'm hungry'; this interaction gets him uninvited from Jay's penthouse for like a week, until y/n ask why Sunghoon hasn't been over to raid their freshly baked goods and Jay lets him back in, but limits his visits to once a week.

Jay said y/n can personalize her area, but she refrains from it, not wanting to possibly put something out Jay does not like. Jay however notices that she does not personalize her desk like he said she can, despite how much he hates it and it hurts him, he puts a few personalized items on his own desk, seeing those makes y/n feel more comfortable about personalizing her own desk. While he might hate the items he put on his desk, he enjoys seeing the joy in y/n's face as she personalizes her own desk.

Jay isn't one for personalizing anything, but once him and y/n are dating, he has a picture of her in one of his desk drawers and whenever he can't just look at her, say he's stressed or just missing her beautiful face, he just opens up the desk drawer and stares at the photo. The boys definitely catch him smiling into his desk drawer at some point, and then clown him about how down bad he is.

Jay officially goes to therapy and stops using his notes app as a therapist after he overhears y/n say guys that take care of their mental health are sexy.

It depends on the type of block. It is good to identify that because there are different kinds of blocks. If you have ideas but no words, I recommend doing something that’ll inspire you like listening to music fit for the scene you want to write, just jumping to a scene you prefer over what you’re trying to do, perhaps changing the story in general to give you a switch up. If the block is just ideas, pay attention to the world around you, there’s plenty of inspiration! Sometimes watching movies or reading other works helps the spark. But if it’s an emotional dead kind of block, sometimes that means you’re just burned out. Best thing you can do is DONT panic and don’t write. Take a step back. Don’t force yourself….for a little. Allow yourself some space and time but after that DO push yourself so you don’t fall into fear of writing again. But if your brain needs a break, best to let it without stressing.

So out of curiosity, what gave you the idea to use orange slices (the nesta story) and then a pillow in the stimulation cream one (Rhys)? I’m asking because they’re both such specific avenues to tell the stories so I’m wondering what inspired them. For the nesta one, how did you think to come up with the slices going inside her? And then the Rhys one what made you think about using a pillow? I didn’t know people even knew about using pillows like that, I’ve only ever seen people talk about them on my period tracking app.

Just to clarify I’m asking because I’m amazed at the creativity, just trying to understand the deciding process for my curiosity.

For Oranges—it was written a while ago so this might not be entirely accurate—I’m pretty sure a friend mentioned they were reading, or wanted to read, Call Me By Your Name, which if you don’t know has a certain scene involving a peach! In retrospect, I think I watched the film before I’d consumed any other visual media like it, so it stuck in brain since it was so odd, I suppose? Anyway, it just got me thinking about foods, and how much joy someone can get when they have a craving and it’s fulfilled? There are times in the summer specifically when all I can think about is cutting a thick wedge of bread, covering it in a thin layer of butter, slicing up some perfectly crisp (and cool) tomatoes, and sprinkling it with salt and pepper then eating it by the riverside 🫣(maybe with some mozzarella, if I’m feeling extra generous) 🤭

Essentially, I thought I’d like to combine two different types of sensory indulgence, and that’s how oranges came about! 🧡💛🍊

As for the stimulating cream one with Rhys, I can’t sleep comfortably (on my sides) without a pillow between my knees to keep the bones from knocking together when I move about, otherwise my legs hurt in the morning and sometimes my lower back, too 😬 then I would guess a couple of weeks ago I was working on a fic, and one thing kind of led to another, and the idea took root 🧡💛

okay so I love writing fluff tbh. I’m a mess when I write fluff! But a good mess. Writing fluff makes me incandescently happy, especially domestic fluff. Writing Sundays was the most amazing experience because I silently squealed the whole time lol.

I also enjoy writing angst (omg I love angst so much. Like yearning and the characters being totally consumed by each other? Yes, please.) I am currently working on a long fic called Always You (on ao3, not here) with a mixture of everything but it has quite a bit of angst and smut. I’m enjoying writing the angst but struggling slightly with the smut 🫣

when it comes to smut, I feel like my writing is a little awkward still? I’ve been working on it and trying to get better though, so hopefully it’ll come more naturally as I write. Which is why I’d appreciate pointers from more seasoned fic writers (if anyone has a moment) 🥺😂

Ack, pleeeeez, I'm so happy you enjoyed the latest chapter! It was a fecking titan to write, and it stressed me out something fierce. The birth was going to be as detailed as I could get it, I knew that going into the instalment before this one - that way, I can ease up on the detail in subsequent pregnancies (I hope lol). So there was a BUNCH of research I had to do to make sure it was right. It always grinds my gears just a little when I see something I know is medically/ physically/ generally inaccurate as a reader, notwithstanding fantasy embellishments of course. I'm glad it seems to have been pulled off well enough!

I also do try my best to write old-fashioned, haha. I was that dork in high school who thought she was better than everyone else because I carried around 'classics' and read them in my spare time. God, I was an uppity bitch. Wanna suckerpunch that ho when I think about her, lol. As a fun result, I picked up that rambling hoity-toity prose they use in older novels, so I do my best to emulate that within the bounds of reason. I try to maintain very deliberate stylistic differences between characters, too - for example, Babey rarely ever uses contractions (i.e. 'I won't' or 'please don't' etc.) to reinforce her prim-and-proper nature, and when she does it is a moment of tension (i.e. sex lol or the birth scenes). Daemon is somewhere in the middle as a noble but free-spirited dude (he'll use contractions, but he's still a bit of a fancyword guy). Kid characters like Luke will use words such as 'wanna' to highlight their youth, and so on. This adds nothing to the story, but it satisfies a little itch in my brain!

I TRIED TO ADD AS MANY NAWWWW TEAR-JERKY BITS AS I COULD HAHAHA, because I wanted this to be a real 'epiphany/ spiritual awakening' experience for Daemon. Like, "holy shit, I'm a daddy now". So this birth was big drama to unpack all that trauma that's been built up over the past 200,000-odd words and get them set on the road to healing. Babey made it through the birth just fine; she survived something she feared above all else, and Daemon was right by her side for it. (On a side note, this is actually a canon book thing - Daemon was present for all the births of his kids with Rhaenyra, INCLUDING Visenya, which makes me think he'd also have been present for Baela and Rhaena's births and his little stillborn boy.)

I have one of those history book snippets coming for the end of the next chapter, kinda like a book-end! Because I consider gevivys, donus rinus and nuhus prumys as plot-centric fics, I bookend them with the quotes; and because ilibitsos was a smut-centric one-shot fic, I began each 'part' with a quote. There is a weird method to that madness, I promise, haha! I really enjoy writing the history snippets - and this upcoming one has been written and waiting since Chapter 5 of donus rinus! Very excited to end the instalment with it.

I've been struggling with sending you a feedback for chapter 3 and 4 for three reasons :

1. The confusion of changing dynamics and feelings has me reeling and i want to slow down (not the plot but my beating heart) before I form an opinion because it's easy to fawn over the closeness of our lead couple but there are too many variables attached.

2. I feel the guilt for Seri, I feel terrible for her.. Her boyfriend is one wide shouldered red flag who's had his reasons but they are ambiguous ones and even he can't figure out the reason for his secrecy. Also the fact that he hasn't thought about Seri or pined over her absence is another red flag. Calling it a red flag makes me guilty bcz this is Jin and we know what the plot is about but i just.. My inner female is growling and disapproving of this behavior

3. The third reason is quite stupid I just had a terribly hectic week and each time I tried to read the chapter or send you an ask i ended up passing out due to sheer exhaustion with the phone falling flat on my face and that's also why I've had a delayed response because I needed to read 3 and 4 several times together and note their flow with each other.

4. What I loved was:

a) the very domestic vibe they carried withe ach other. Its quite wholesome to see them interact and comfort each other as if it's a daily occurrence.

b) the skinship keeps increasing and it's borderline flirting. The sexual tension is building up very slowly and that's the charm of it. I enjoyed the second kiss in the 4th chapter because it stemmed from real feeling and curiousity I feel?

c) everyone including Taehyung is just rooting for them🥴 us included 😂 Sorry Seri😢

d) I love the soft pillow talk (wrong in this context but you know what I mean) the soft touches, caressing the cheeks, cupping them,the compliments were overflowing, the sunblock moment. Those soft secret and otherwise smiles Jin gives her at all times make for some very pleasant dreamy moments and makes the chapters so worthwhile to read.

5. Jin isn't a bad guy here but I think he's unfair, he's stringing Seri along. Even when he talks about her he feels relief that she's not fussy. She's just a side chick at the moment who he sees as he pleases. Idk relationships are complicated.. 😭 And im struggling to form an opinion on this part and just waiting to ride this one out.. But as the lead couple gets closer to each other, so does the guilt settle more and more in his heart.

6. This is an unpopular opinion and i may be hated for this but jin seems very fickle minded - his emotions keep swaying, he had a type in which Seri fit, OC is different so she's refreshing.. He is glad to spend all this time with OC and didn't even think about Seri.. I know these are turning points but I'm trying to find a ground for forming an opinion and currently my brain is overwhelmed with the possibilities that their relationship triangle will take..

I'm sorry for the late one i felt so guilty for not being prompt because that's how I show my love to amazing people like you 💕 hope you had a wonderful week and looking forward to chapter 5 and hoping it untangles some threads in my head 😂

My inner female is growling at Jin, too! But we'll get Seri's part a few chapters from now, and we'll get to understand her thinking, too, and why she held on as long as she did. While I was writing this, my best friend's words of "he makes me feel safe, and that's all that mattered," kept ringing in my head; she said that about her boyfriend who didn't have a good track record in terms of fidelity (I'm not defending it!) but that whole conversation made me think deeply about the values we prioritize over others, of what safety means, and the things we choose to overlook over something that matters more to us, given our respective pasts.

Pls never apologize for this! It's been a tough few weeks for me, too, but pls make sure you get proper rest. Love that you make time for this still huhu 🥹

Everything you said! In their own little world, things are indeed dreamy and giddy, and they find that peace in each other bc they're the ones put in this position, and I wanted to highlight that as well.

Jin is being unfair, but also not entirely a bad guy, and I wrote him as such! There are variables and human emotions and complications of relationships that I wanted to string in here and hopefully, the readers get to understand what I meant to portray at the end of it.

And no worries at all! Again, I wrote him as such. I've read a few boss Jin fics where he's very powerful and dominant. He still is in this story, in terms of how he handles his work, but given his own relationship experience and upbringing, he is the way he is - indecisive, fickle-minded. And I wanted to highlight that side of his character, too.
