Tumblr is getting rid of avatars and no longer showing where a reblog comes from in post headers to “afford more room for badges.”

I always felt kinda bad when I was gifted badges and then didn’t use them, cuz people spent actual money on them. So I’m asking, please do not gift me badges, or any other tumblr merch for that matter.

I threw them a bone last year and paid for the ad-free because the ads and blazed softcore porn on the app were infuriating, but I’m canceling it. They’re not getting anything from me anymore. I’ll have to switch back to using the Firefox mobile browser. Hopefully the new dash un-fuckers that are going around will work on mobile.

“Hey, Danny.” Sam twisted her upper body as much as she could from the trio’s puppy pile on the floor. It was mid-afternoon on a Saturday, and the trio had nothing to do except comb through old occult books and internet records for more information on the supernatural. Danny was on the bottom of the pile, laying on his stomach with both a laptop and a old red journal splayed out in front of him. Sam and Tucker were piled on top of him with their own reading materials.

Sam couldn’t see his face, but she wasn’t all surprised when Danny solved this issue by simply turning his head around all the way like an owl to look back at her. Perks of being dead. He blinked. “Yeah?”

“You know how your parents have that working theory on ghosts and obsessions?” Sam asked. Tucker peeked over the edge of the laptop, interested.

Danny nodded slowly, which was odd to see when his head was backwards.

She continued, “Well we already know that some of that is true-ghosts do have obsessions but it’s not the sole reason of their existence. Right?”

“Right.”

“So would it make sense for halfas to have an obsession?”

Danny opened his mouth, then closed it as a thought occurred to him. They all thought on it for a moment.

Tucker clicked his laptop a few times. Probably pulling up their old ‘case’ files and notes for reference. “I don’t see why they wouldn’t, but maybe it’s more subdued than a full ghost’s due to their half human nature?”

“That’s a good theory.” Sam agreed. “But what if halfas are the only one with a true obsession-something that would cause them to come back to life because of it?”

“But that defeats the purpose of the ectoplasm research.” Tucker argued. “Danny was exposed to two different elements during the accident. The thing that killed him and the thing that brought him back to life. That’s what caused the halfa evolution. Besides, if a true obsession alone managed to bring someone back to life, there’s be a lot more halfas in the world.”

Sam set down her heavy occult book, dog-earring the page. (Ghost Writer won’t like that.) “Well what about Vlad?” She countered. “That fruit loop obviously has some sort of obsession going on-maybe even more that one!”

“Guys.” Danny interrupted. “I think you’re both right and wrong.” His face was still thoughtful, staring up at the ceiling that held little paper bats on string. Which, again, was a bit unsettling since his head was still turned around. “I think I do have an obsession, maybe even more than one. But it’s not because I’m part ghost.”

“Then what’s if from?” Tucker exclaimed. “What did we miss??”

Danny gave them a tiny, fanged smirk. “You forget, I have ADHD.”

the thing about me is that I have this need to pick up every angel on supernatural by their scruff and place them into an enclosure that will allow them to, if not heal and become better, than at least to be petty and vindictive in a way that causes less death and destruction and is just kind of annoying. which I would argue is also good for them. let angels make choices where the consequences of their actions are non-existent rather than world-ending. teaches them free will in a safe, healthy way.

Someone on ao3 suggested maybe the demons can’t be understood by humans but if the demon researchers used a fellow researcher for the breeding, you begin to understand them when you become pregnant! And it was such a good idea!

Demons are powerful but not as powerful as in canon, and all researchers are still technically slayers, but their main job is observing. Demons also are born in addition to being turned. If turned, they stay that age for the rest of their existence, if born, they grow at an excelled rate and stop growing physically at varying ages. The youngest observed was early 20’s. Demons don’t die by sunlight either, but staying in it for extended periods of time with severely burn them.

Demons don’t only feed on humans, in fact, they feed mainly on animals! They will feed on humans if desperate or angered by them however.

Demons are mostly observed out in the wild by researchers, left alone to do as they please, but instigated if research on their powers is needed. If they are caught attacking a human, they will be captured or slain based on their power and their strength. If their powers are something worth researching they will be captured.

Once the breeding program starts, If they are strong but with rather unremarkable powers, depending on if there’s a compatible demon with a better power currently being researched in house, the demon will be brought in for breeding/collection. That’s right! Some demons are not worth housing for breeding, so their sperm will be collected and demons used for breeding will be artificially inseminated.

The first of the stronger demons to be captured was the siblings. The researchers had capture many demons in their years of work but these were their first truly powerful demons. Breeding isn’t always done, in fact, up until the siblings capture it was rarely done at all. But the unique powers and ability to conform into one being was fascinating and worth attempting to pass on. So the boy’s sperm was collected and stored, the girl was observed separately, and then both were observed together, tagged, and released.

Some demons were trickier than others, the demon who could affect dreams was the next to be captured. He remained gagged and bound with a gag on his hand after putting one too many researchers to sleep. The demon with vibrant hair blue markings was only able to be observed in the wild, otherwise heavily sedated in captivity due to destruction via shockwaves. Both had semen collected and stored.

Legends and stories of the king of demons had long since been disregarded by the researchers as unimportant. He’d never been seen, and the breeding program needed to begin, so there was certainly no point in focusing efforts on it.

After successful breeding between weaker demons, it was decided that human testing would be done. Demons with no powers were captured, collected from, and willing participants were selected and prepared. After a handful of successful births to babies a discussion was held. The stronger demons were forbidden to be used outside of the researchers. It would be too dangerous to impregnate someone not strong enough to handle the process or raising a potentially dangerous child.

So a researcher was selected. It was a quick decision. After all, there was only one.
