I know a lot of people want it, but I don't think we'll ever get a conversation between Sandra Lynn and any of the bad kids about what Bobby Dawn did to her.
A. It's just unnecessary. We already know the gist, we can already see the ramifications of that action, and a conversation would just be retreading already discovered ground
B. Sandra's relationship with Fig is nearly always in turmoil. Ever since seeing her offer a shoulder to Adaine when she drank heavily when it was her, Fig has been avoiding Sandra when she could. She said in the fight when Baxter arrived, "I'm not trying to see my mom right now," and they didn't talk At All when she took them to the temple ruins. If Sandra Lynn was going to talk to anyone about Bobby, it would be to Fig just bc of closeness, and that's just not happening, at least not for a while. Also i see people define Bobby's short and disastrous relationship with Sandra as sexual grooming, and i find it hard to believe that if she was groomed, she'd tell her daughter, especially not to then say "Fig You Were Groomed Too" or "Fig, Don't Trust Random Men." I think people put way too much emphasis on Fig's bits where she kissed adults in earlier seasons and said "would i know if i had sex? What if I've accidentally had sex?", like those were just jokes, the latter being a joke abt how Fig didnt understand what sex was as a 14 year old, and i don't believe it would be fun for the table if those jokes were treated with the solumn seriousness of fig then being a grooming victim. Also Fig already distrusts men, she was right about Porter and she was stalking Ruben and literally every man outside of her family that she's come in contact with, she's either bullied or investigated, she doesn't need to be told a tale about how men ain't shit
C. Bobby is just much less of an antagonistic player in this conflict than previously expected. Yeah he was involved with The Big Bad, but after the reveal, a majority of the focus shifted onto Porter, Jace, and the Rat Grinders. I don't see the next two episodes having a moment where they sit down and talk about Bobby in depth, beyond "he was/is an asshole"

i think i mightve talked abt this a bit in my longpost about how insane phi as a character is to me but yknow what i really wanna point out? all the nonary game shit she has to go through happens in really quick succession to her - she doesn't really get a proper "break" in between VLR and ZTD for her mentally. junpei and akane at least have about a year between the two, and sigma has 45 years (not that either of those situations were particularly good either though, looking at how sigma and junpei especially turned out, and sigma spent years WORKING on the AB game, just not participating in it). but for phi? she has a matter of DAYS in between the two. the time sigma spends she spends in cold sleep, so mentally to her, her consciousness goes from the events of VLR's phi end to DCOM almost instantly. dcom only ends up lasting for about 5 days, and even then the prologue states that phi/sigma/akane spent most of it worrying about radical-6 and the future + the flashback with diana shows phi is just so Tired after everything after just that. and then the decision game happens. my point is just that i cannot imagine being in a death game like that (not to mention everyone had radical-6, so she went from a body that Did have it to one that didn't, which i can imagine would probably a pretty weird experience considering one of its symptoms is messing up your perception of time. and also she was on the moon.), spending 5 days like god how did the apocalypse start i can't let it happen this time and then being in Another death game that is much more gruesome and violent. not to mention both of them in a way HAD to happen because of her (2074 nonary game bc it needed to train sigma and phi's SHIFTing abilities to a good enough degree and decision game one of the reasons was to ensure she and delta were born).
in summary: i would fucking die at that point if i was phi dealing with that All At Once. in the span of a few days. and with the memories of my + others' deaths. what the fuck

The more we learn about Teru's living situation the more tragic his introduction becomes. I cant help but wonder if ONE had his backstory figured out from the start like.
At first we just knew he's lived alone for a few years. Mob is the first visitor hes had and ough Claw has been targeting him. A little weird given the circumstances but it's assumed he at least has some supervision...his parents maybe just aren't in Seasoning. maybe they are out of the city so teru can go to a good school. Who knows? They aren't present but the Kageyama parents aren't that much either at this point so its fine.
Summer omake drops and no, they are overseas. In another country and teru hasn't gone on any summer vacations and is alone the majority of his time off and doesn't know what to do with himself. They leave him alone in another country. Well, maybe it's for his and their protection. He doesn't seem bothered by their absence.
Oh...teru asked to live on his own and his parents were alright with that. In fact, they weren't really present in his life since he was 9 and even then they would see him on and off.
Well he must talk to them, right?
No, it gets revealed him and his mom don't talk talk to each other much at all
this poor kid, dude does he know this isn't okay?

“you can give people all the resources in the world but they still wouldnt help themselves” is completely ignoring the current situation that theyre in.
like. homelessness isnt just an effect of mental illness, it can also be the direct cause of it. someone who may not have experienced mental illness as severely when they had housing could be in a lot worse state once they lose that security. and oftentimes, community outreach is more focused on addiction treatment and mental healthcare BEFORE getting these people housed. and while i dont see that as an inherently bad thing, it is still objectively putting a bandaid over a bullet hole.
you can give people all the resources in the world to manage their addictions and treat their mental health and curb their bad decisions, but if you are not taking them out of the situation that is directly causing the pain, then it is unreasonable and unrealistic to assume these people are going to be able to just pull themselves up by their bootstraps back on their feet. and i need some of you to really listen to this next part, whether or not you believe they should, there are always going to be people who cannot simply push through the absolute worst moments of their lives, the complete and utter despair of living on the streets and feeling like society doesnt give an absolute fuck about you or whether you live or die. and honestly, i find it fucking cruel to expect people to do so and then judge them from a place of privilege when they inevitably cant.
i think that youre right in that there will always be people looking for saving. just like your so-called “Welfare Queen” who could put herself in a better spot if she just *checks notes* stopped relying on taking advantage of the system that was built to help her?!?!?
ok fine you got me. sure, there are people who you can give the best possible scenario to and they still wouldnt get any “better,” but i will not ever accept that that as an excuse to give up on them, let alone the group as a whole.

man some gender roles are just self fulfilling prophesies arent they?
(i am a white afab in america and can only speak for this perspective)
oh women are just naturally suited to domestic labor? guess we'll make our daughters cook and clean and take care of their little sisters while our sons take out the trash every once in a while. well wontcha look at that, the girls are so talented with the windex while our boys can barely remember to clean out the dryer lint. see ladies, this is why you ought to stay home and let the men work.
oh little girls are so much work, so demanding, just wait til their teenage years, i mean the rebellion and the boys! little boys are so much more easy going, even if they take a while to mature. and gosh, look at suzy, crying that she wants this dress and that toy because she's a child and doesnt know what money is yet, see she's such a brat, just keep telling her no and she'll learn to never ask for anything. oh timmy wants this bike? sure timmy, no need to cry, we'll take that dent in the budget, look how happy he is on it. emma don't get mad when your brothers bug you, they're not as mature as you. why dont you ever talk to us? why dont you respect us? what do you mean he harrassed a girl at school cus we never reprimanded him for breaking boundries and called him our handsome ladies man his whole life? no honey you cant have a boyfriend. sure son, go get her, oh look we placed him next to another baby but shes a girl look at them his little girlfriend. what do you mean youve been dating him in secret? wow, she's so timid and meek, never talks, so ladylike. and gosh he's so rambuctious, almost like he's never heard of a consequence.
oh little girls shouldnt play with science kits and medical toys, what little girls want to be scientists and doctors? boys dont want to play with dolls, give him an action figure or a toy car, and dont even let him look at pink. and wow, what do we see here? a huge imbalance in stem fields, the medical world, mechanics, and nerd culture. and men who will go up to the cashier and ask if there is "boy peptol bismol" because he doesnt want something pink.
girls care so much about their image, wonder if that has anything to do with mommy playing dress up with them and brushing their hair even when it hurts, screaming at them if they pull away cus they wont their little girl go out looking like a birds nest, and that society has deemed their looks as half of their value? boys are so into sports, wonder if that has anything to do with the fact that dad impressed his son into the little league team cus he used to be such a slugger it's in his blood, and that his dad always had his buddies come over and watch the game while mom brings him another beer?
time is a flat circle and society is an ouroboros that ceases to exist if the snake ever spits its own tail out.
