The theme of infinity can be found in a lot of Digimon material, specially in earlier media.
The original lyrics for the song Butter-fly by Kōji Wada, theme song of Digimon Adventure (1999), makes mention of an infinite dream.
In Digimon World 1, the final area of the game is called Mt. Infinity. The final boss? None other than Machinedramon, otherwise known as Mugendramon. Mugen meaning infinite.
Machinedramon's signature move is even called infinity cannon!
One of Hudiemon's (the butterfly Digimon) moves is called infinity dream, likely a reference to the song mentioned earlier. Its Support Skill also has the same name.
What do you all think is up with this?
There could be an infinity of meanings...

Sometimes the Butterflies we chase, end up being Nightmares.
When you fall in love, you feel a rush of emotions you initially can't put it into place. Some call it "Butterflies in my Stomach", a cute moniker to an incomparable experience to any other feeling — ever.
Love is a game of chance, like how you'll never know when a butterfly comes by next time you look out the window. Or even when one comes flying down your nose.
Yet for some, butterflies are only felt on first glance. Love, is rough, painful, dreadful, and a whole bunch of bullshit. It devours you from the inside out, like parasites living in your body slowly taking out the joy, peace, and fondness of everything that is known on what love should be. Love can even be the very things you've become afraid of your entire life.
Love is risky. It's a wheel of constant change — from being a winged-friend of beauty, to a pit of wallowed shame.
