btw in the catboy au its considered normal for humans to pet cat/dogboys as a greeting or as praise and this was why sir john was so beloved by some of the younger boys bc he doled out pets pretty generously whereas fitzjames only pets his lieutenants and crozier pets no one unless he's forced to. dont worry tho touch-starved cat/dogboys (largely dogboys) can go to the doctors for pets and its equivalent to physiotherapy (which didn't really exist until late into the victorian era but ignore that) so here's my reviews of the medical staff based on their pet-prowess:

Goodsir - tender soft touch, favourite amongst the marines, very good at chin skritches and cheek rubs and knows exactly where to scratch behind the ears, sometimes will even hum to you if you're lucky or (gasp) call you a good boy

McDonald - firm fatherly touch, will say "there's a lad" if you purr or chuff at him, never pets you for as long as you want him to though because he's rather busy running the sick bay

Peddie - this is usually who you end up getting on terror, lil awkward since he's still learning the ropes but he's real earnest about it

Stanley - perfunctory, clinical, expedient, you will leave ruffled and feeling worse than when you came in

secret bonus contender:

Bridgens - seen petting peglar so often that soon other cat/dogboys started not-so-subtly asking him for pets too, big hands firm touch, will smile kindly at you and maybe even ask about your day, if you're lucky he'll use two hands to cup your face and for a moment all your troubles disappear, WARNING afterwards peglar will be colder towards you for a brief period of time

Oh, Brother - An outsider POV of Ghost and Soap getting together, told through the eyes of their siblings. Now a series!

I Don't Think We're in Space Anymore - An alien crash lands in Mexico, and Price and Laswell decide to give it a mask and a gun. That alien is Ghost.

Was tHat thE BiTe oF 22 - FNAF, but with COD characters. Lot's of child death, but like it's fine, they possess the animatronics! They're totally fine.

Be Kind, Rewind - Ghost gets de-aged. He's still Ghost. In theory, this could be greatness! A soldier with his experience in a younger, more virile body. He's now young, not really dumb, and full of cum! (Provided he can convince Soap to sleep with him, that is.)

Duo Fatui - An Unus Annus tribute. Soap is Unus, Ghost is Annus. Rewriting my favorite episodes/moments with the boys in place of Mark and Ethan.

Is That Gonna be a Problem? - Simon met Johnny and Jenny, twins, as a kid. On leave in Glasgow, he reconnects with his childhood friends. Post Roba, Pre 141

Cohabitation - Simon Riley died and came back. Twice. His corpse was resurrected as a zombie, and his spirit remains as a ghost that possesses said corpse. Ghost!Ghost and Zombie!Ghost, and the 141 finding out about their odd situation.

Lost a Bet - Ghost lost a bet with Gaz, and Gaz gets to design Ghost's next mask. Ghost now has to wear the cat themed mask for a month. During that time he bonds with the stray cats around base.

Outlaw Outta Time - a COD and RDR2 crossover. The boys accidentally go back in time while looking for Graves, and get tangled up in the Van der Lind gang's shenanigans. A fix it for Arthur (side ships include Ale/Rudy and Arthur/Albert Mason)

??? - Unnamed fic about trans!Ghost dropping hints that he's trans, and Soap who thought he was straight having the most confusing crush on his lieutenant. They fuck about it.

??? - Unnamed fic about a rescue mission to save Elizabeth. Johnny thinks she's Ghost's girlfriend, she is not. She's his dog. Ghost is aware of the miscommunication, and does absolutely nothing to correct it, because it's funny.

??? - Unnamed fic about Ghost and Soap getting sucked into our world a la Supernatural's The French Mistake. They have to pretend to be Samuel and Neil until they figure out how to get home.

Last Song : I have been listening to Dune OST a lot, so I have been hanszimmered (is this a verb? it should be!)

Last Film :   I use some database to keep track of all I watch and (shock not really) I realised I mostly watch TV series, and hardly any films at all. BUT I did watch Running Naked with Matthew McNulty because Matthew McNulty, and it was probably the only one this year. Ah oh no Dune as well of course.

Currently Watching :  I have too many things on the go, and I also suffer from the curse of always having to finish what I started, so sadly continuing Fear the Walking Dead, rewatching Terror as always, Our Blues (only because it has Lee Byung-hun in it, I hope he will pick some better projects in future, please man please my grey cells are dying watching this I can hear them scream as they do so). But I am also looking where I can watch North Water finally, it's been calling me for a while now. And after seeing Colin Farell as Pinguin in Batman (oh another film I have seen) I think I am ready for this.

Current Obsession :  Filling imaginary shopping baskets with second hand earrings I will not actually be buying ever but they are pretty.

Trying to find out how long the sense of smell disappears for after covid.

Dreaming what I could do if I won a lottery. (I think it's called visualising success? Maybe I got the technique wrong). I am not really obsessed with it ^^ But if I do win I am so buying that abandoned theatre in Manchester.
