I hear you. You're heard, and you're real. Sing, dear, I'll listen and dance to your voice. Let us sway, dear. Let the earth echo our chants.

@mama-qwerty
hi so I hope you don't mind me stealing a minute of your time but I really love your fics of Callie and it puts a huge smile on my face. I'm not a huge fic reader but this one really just makes me feel so insanely warm inside. Not to mention, you characterize Knuckles so well!
If you haven't read the fic, you totally should!! (and leave kudos. I'd leave a million kudos if I could.)
here's a link >:)

I've seen a lot of hate on the Cope/Mox match.
Did it crash after the high of the rest of the event? Yes.
Did it feel like a Dynamite main event? Also yes.
Was I disappointed that after the promos they cut Saturday, there was way less violence than promised? Still, yes.
BUT...
To be fair, having to follow ANY of the previous matches was just cruel.
Hanger and MJF? Fire.
Toni and Mariah? Cinema.
Swerve and Ricochet? MOTN contender.
Omega and Takeshita? Edge of my seat.
Ospreay and Fletcher? MOTN. Period. NO NOTES.
Okada/Brody was slower paced, but good. I was pleasantly surprised by the absolute fight The Outrunners brought to Hurt Syndicate. Mercedes and Momo put on a hell of a match, too.
Having to be the last match after a card like that was rough. Short of Mox ending Cope's career, or Cope absolutely losing his shit to beat Mox, there was no way for them to top what came before.
Did they save the ending with Swerve? Yes. And I fully expect the program that Swerve and Mox run to be unhinged. There is potential for an absolutely insane match. Don't hold them back, let these two men do what they do best. Violence.
I also want to add MAJOR props to Bryce Remsburg. Hands down one of the best refs in the business PERIOD. I was literally screaming at my TV "Fuck him up, Bryce!"
Thank you for making it this far.
Don Callis has slutty ankles.

Refs of two characters of mine I've become lowkey obsessed with lately! Having to frequently remind myself that I don't need to start an entirely new webcomic for them right this second when I have another I've been trying to prepare to start already

I need 2 talk abt why I think the Kyle turn happened bc I can't stop thinking abt it.
I think it has to do with Kyle's sense of loyalty in general. Bc like. Kyle's been wrestling since he was fifteen, and almost ALL of that has been as a tag team wrestler (His first gimmick was in a tag team, and 467 of his 673 matches have been tag matches, which doesn't even include singles matches fought while he was otherwise in a team, of which there are many). He's a team player by nature- and when he joins a team or a partner, or otherwise makes an ally, he's fiercely loyal and devoted.
We've seen that since he and Will reunited in AEW. Kyle was always there to support Will, throughout everything, even when Callis was trying to keep them apart. He fought MJF, who he knew would pull something dirty and try to destroy him, solely to defend Will's honor and against Don's wishes. But he's also stuck by the family, even when Don mistreated him, because of that loyalty.
But that's the other edge to his loyalty- that devotion is first and foremost what matters to him, above everything else, including morality. That's why he and Davis played heel often in Aussie Open; their ethos is that all that matters is that they're together and winning. Fuck everyone else, as long as we're on top (That was also the idea for Schadenfreude in its iterations).
And that's where the clash happens. I think the first nail in the coffin was obviously losing that tag match, and the screwdriver situation. Think about it from Kyle's perspective- he floundered after Davis first left, and he's been struggling ever since, with everything he has to get any kind of gold or recognition on the main stage, to climb the ladder, to know he can be good enough on his own.
And then there's Will- his best friend, whose back he's had for years, who's perfect and incredible and makes everything look so easy, who can just jump up to the top of the card without breaking a sweat. And he can't be mad at Will for being good, it's not his fault that he's so astoundingly talented but it can't be easy to ignore that Will is like that and Kyle just... isn't. He's always good, but never good enough- he's always the "wanna-be Ospreay".
And then they get this tag title shot, and Kyle thinks that maybe this is it, this is finally his chance. Don gives him the screwdriver and he knows it's bad, but fuck it, this is for them, for himself and for the family and more than anything, for him and Will- and then Will stops him. He tells him that being right, doing it fair, is more important than them. And then they lose, and Kyle is right back where he started. And that's where the resentment begins- no doubt stoked by Don and Takeshita, who've both already decided at this point that Will has to go.
Because how is that fair? That Kyle has been there for Will through everything, that Kyle would do anything for Will, but Will won't return the favor? And maybe that's not fair, that shouldn't be something to expect from someone, but it's the truth. Will's been Kyle's first priority this whole time, but for Will there's always something else- a rivalry or a title or a cause, and Kyle's always second. Will won't suffer from this, really- he had the international belt, he had Ricochet to worry about, main-event matches already lined up. This was everything for Kyle, but for Will, it was just a side gig. And that fucking hurt.
So maybe, now, it's time for Kyle to put aside that devotion, and start thinking about his own self-interests.
