it's been exactly one year now since my first rhymix related post on my old art blog (i am 3 days late but who the fuck cares)! thought i'd redraw it for nostalgic purposes~ here's to another year of me going insane over a bunch of silly rhythm game song gijinkas, i guess! ^_^

I wanted to ask if you would mind if I drew Yamaguchi from your au, using different mobility aids from the ones you draw him with? I’m a para athlete (rowing, not volley-ball) with TBI ataxia, and your au means so much to me, and I was thinking about drawing him with forearm crutches like I use. I just wanted to ask since I didn’t want it to seem like I was “correcting” or speaking over you, and to check that you’re comfortable with adjustments to your au.

It’s alright to draw him with crutches, sure! I think it’s awesome to hear from a para-athlete with a similar disability to him!

However; to everyone else reading this, please don’t take this as a “green flag” to change the mobility aids of my AU. I’m allowing this because 1) they asked me directly, and nicely explained why, and 2) they themselves have a similar disability and understand what it entails.

I hope this makes sense! Thank you again for asking before doing it ❤️

Anyway, I got the book and haven't even read it straight because I'm too excited to do that, and

Spoilers.

- Reinhard really just had to blink and everyone died, huh...

- Groovy Gumlet is cute

- Julius is cute. He's also the MC here

- I thought that when the wiki said they didn't show Reinhard VS Cecilus, but cut to the aftermath, they were exaggerating for the sake of the wiki summary... they literally did this. Just said something like 'Begin!' and we cut to Cecilus covered in cuts

- Translations are a bit strange (Cecilus = Cecils, Ia = Ire, In = Innes, Vollachia = Volakia...)

- Cecilus is good at blending in to the point Ferris (a demihuman) didn't notice him, but Julius still happened to through magic

- Groovy makes an appearance screaming and flying through the sky and I like it. There's just a distant "YAAAAAAAHHHHH" from the forest

- Julius is really kind and compassionate here. He's also extremely perceptive of everything that I was surprised and half-scared because how???

- Cecilus is literally that guy who comes into work late, a disheveled mess

- Cecilus almost got mistaken for a woman at first glance

"Well, that's a bold statement." Ian murmured, raising his coffee cup to his lips for the fourth time that minute.

Mike looked behind himself, fixing his friend with a look that could only be described as 'miffed'. "What, bold as in we're usually prepared for this sort of thing?" He asked in a low tone, like he already knew what the answer was going to be.

"No, as in it's bold of you to assume that this team is ever prepared for any of the many insane situations we constantly finagle our way into." Ian replied. He went for another sip, only to realise that he'd completely emptied the chipped blue mug. He even tipped it out, frowning at the few dregs that fell out. "Bollocks. Okay, let's get this over with. What're we looking at?"

The two of them turned back to the threat at hand. "Oh, y'know, just Chronodile."

"Oh, not this dickhead again!" Ian groaned, tossing the mug behind himself absent-mindedly. "I know he's a time traveller and all, but surely even he knows to do the same bit twice. I mean, 'bank robbery in a sandstorm' tends to lose its appeal after a couple of goes around."

"Uh huh." Kid Thor rolled his shoulder, wincing at the stiffness in the joint. "You wanna go first? Pretty sure I pulled a muscle earlier."

The wizard grumbled, something about being 'paid too little for this shit', but eventually nodded. "Yeah, I'll hit him with some hellfire again. Worked last time. We're getting pizza after this, right? We better be."

"Yeah. Actually, y'know what?" He looked back over at Ian. "Take him down all by yourself, and I'll make it chili dogs. The greasy kind, from that lady's truck next to the building."

"You mean Alisha's Dogs?"

"Yeah, that kind. Plus, I'll pay for the extra cheese." Mike briefly raised his eyebrows, hoping to convince his co-worker into taking the brunt of the task.

Ian raised a finger slowly. "You, Michael Olsson, are perhaps the most manipulative bastard I have ever met. And considering the sheer amount of demons I know, that's saying something!" He dropped the point, huffing with an annoyed look on his face. "You've got yourself a deal. Give me ten minutes."

As the wizard threw himself at the villain, Mike simply leaned on his hammer, smirking to himself. "Heh. Works every time."
