supernatural movie reboot but its a ghostfacers mockumentary about their attempt to make a “serious film” about sam and dean winchester. opens on ed and harry going “CUT!” and the camera pans to a guy that looks kind of like jared padalecki pulling off a party city wig. turns out the finale was actually part of the ghostfacer’s retelling of supernatural. Sam Dean and Castiel spend the entire movie chasing after ed and harry trying to stop the thing being made. (its a huge commercial success and they screen it at the destiel wedding)

“Smart Cars” + Capitalism = a very dystopian future
Ford’s patent ranges from having a “self driving” car return itself to the dealership if you miss a payment, to having the car abruptly disable itself, to “minor inconveniences” like having the air conditioner or heater stop working until you voluntarily return the car.
Don’t think for one second that all carmakers aren’t thinking about doing the same things. Especially Tesla Motors.
Carmakers are already trying to monetize even the most basic features, like charging monthly fees for the ability to use your car’s seat warmers.

Anyway, nobody does more to radicalize people against capitalism more than greedy capitalists.

I am unapologetically a fan of the Monaco GP
It’s a track where the drivers skills can really make the difference, there’s so little room for error and the drivers have to be so switched on
The drivers make approximately 48-50 gear changes a lap around Monaco, which is only 3.337km long, which equates to nearly 4000 gear changes in the full race distance, which is nearly double what drivers do in Silverstone for example.
Qualifying at Monaco is just incomparable, seeing the cars navigate the tight twisty roads, avoiding the walls, having to deal with the tunnel
It’s not great for racing, or even good to be honest, but to be able to see the cars and the drivers at their absolute limits is just spectacular.

to me the whole point of f1, and why i got into it, is that the cars are these meticulously engineered machines that - under the right circumstances - are fucking magical to watch. like for example, a wide angle shot of a car absolutely glued to the ground while going through a sleek S chicane?? 😮‍💨🤤
street tracks are just bumpy, with awkward super slow 90-degree corners, vision is obscured too, and it’s such a waste imo to have these incredible cars race in spaces where they don’t reach their full potential.

Ferrari 250 LM Prototipo, 1963. Designed at Pininfarina this was Enzo Ferrari's blatant attempt to flout FIA rules and race the mid-engined car in the Group 3 GT class without the requisite 100 road cars being built. Ferrari's influence with the FIA wasn't as great as he had hoped and the car was disallowed and could only race in the prototype class.
