did you know that Dean wakes up one morning and realizes he has a fucking bombshell of a wife/husband/spouse, a cozy (slightly rural) suburban house, and not one but three fucking daughters???? Did you know that he woke up one morning to toddler giggles and little kid bickering and baby babbling????? and your girls come charging in hushing their little giggles so they don't wake up mommy and daddy and so OBVIOUSLY he has to pretend to be asleep so he doesn't foil their plan. he focuses all his energy on keeping his face and body relaxed, keeping his breathing even. they're whispering and babbling and Dean peeks an eye open and looks at the love of his life and these three angels with their daddy's attitude and their mama's heart. they have your eyes and his smile. they're... the best parts of both of you, and there's something entirely new and beautiful in each of them too.

Bobby Dean is your oldest, and her 4th birthday is just around the corner. She's 3 and 3/4 right now, and won't let anyone forget it.

Your second is Jodi John, or JJ informally. She's fought her way half way through the terrible twos and is already getting a head start on the whole 3 going on 13 thing.

Mary Cass, or Cassie, is your youngest. She's just over a year old, and wants to do everything her big sisters do.

And Dean is looking at your little girls, and at you. He sees the way the morning sunlight dapples in through the window and illuminates their tangled hair and disney princess nightgowns. Your face is all puffy from sleep, and you still smell like the apple pie you made yesterday.

“-Bring me some pie,” Dean yelled, before Y/N could exit the room.

“Excuse me,” Y/N halted in her tracks and threw Dean an appalled look. “I don’t know who you’re talking to, but I sure as hell know it ain’t me.”

“Oh, come on. Don’t make this something it isn’t. You know I love me some pie.”

“Don’t gaslight me, Dean. You know I’m already upset with you. We’ve been fighting all day, you’re only going to piss me off some more.”

“I don’t know why. I did nothing to upset you.”

“Dean, I’m tired of arguing…” Y/N shot him a defeated look, hoping he’d want to begin mending things with her.

“Then don’t. Hurry on back because we have to finish up this research for tomorrow’s investigation.”

Sighing deeply, Y/N hesitated. “I’m actually gonna get some fresh air…” Grabbing her sweater from the back of her chair, Y/N huffs as she heads in the opposite direction, towards the bunker exit. Lost in thought about how she hated leaving without kissing her man goodbye, but couldn’t manage to move her feet in his direction. Instead, she vanishes out the door, not uttering a single word to Dean.

Dean was left feeling like an asshole for not preventing Y/N from leaving, but also knew he needed time for himself to cool off.

Three hours later, and not hearing a peep from Y/N, had sent an anxious Dean into a frenzy, racking his brain for ideas on how to make it up to her. The entire time he was alone at the table, gave him plenty of time to reflect and he came to the realization that, Y/N deserved better. The past couple weeks, Dean had been taking his anger and frustration out on Y/N. Although he hadn’t realized it ‘til now, he knew she deserved better. All he could do now was pray that she’d come back home, and it wasn’t too late for him to try and mend things.

Another hour later, Dean is sitting at the table again, going over the latest research with Sam and Cass. Y/N enters the bunker, a plastic shopping bag in hand, and stares down at the boys. Dean makes eye contact with her, and notices her swollen, puffy under-eyes. The guilt he felt, burned through his chest. Sam, glanced between Dean and Y/N feeling the tension, knowing a bit of what happened before Y/N left, because Dean had confided in him and Cass earlier that day.

“Don’t mind me…” Y/N speaks quietly, making her way down the steps and over towards the table. I think I’m going to shower and then you guys can fill me in?”

“Sam, Cass, can we have a minute?” Dean speaks up, signaling for the guys to leave the room.

Sam nodded, pulling Cass with him out the room.

“Dean…” Y/N speaks, once the other guys were out of sight, and she saw the hurt on Dean’s face.

“Stop, Y/N. Let me... I wanna say I’m sorry. I shouldn’t be talking to you the way that I’ve been talking to you.” Dean gets up from his chair and walks over to Y/N, getting close, and wrapping his arms around her waist. “We’ve all been under a lot more stress. This lifestyle isn’t an easy one to live, but I’m so f**king grateful to have you here, helping me through it- helping each other through it. And I hate how I’ve been treating you, so I promise I’m going to work on it.” He looks at her with sad, pleading eyes. The built up sadness and trauma from throughout the years, resurfacing and Y/N couldn’t help but tear up with him.

“It’s okay, baby.” Y/N reassures him, quickly pulling him into a hug, still holding onto her bag. “I know… It’s going to be okay.” Y/N had already forgave him before making it back home, but seeing him so torn over everything, made her even more appreciative of her boyfriend. She understood that they were both constantly under pressure, and going through the ringer, dealing with wars and hunts. Just non-stop violence. But they were always each other’s peace, and that’s what mattered the most. “I love you, Dean.”

“I love you too, sweetheart.” Dean replied, leaning into Y/N and kissing her like his life depended on it. Y/N kissing him back, gently but full of passion, as if they were healing each other through it.

“-oh, I brought you something.” Y/N mumbles, breaking away from the kiss and holding the plastic bag up in the air.

“-What?” Dean groans, eager to continue what they had started.

“Pie-” Before she could say anything else, Dean collides his lips with hers once more.

“Forget the pie.” Dean huffed through the kiss. After tossing the bag on the table, Dean picked Y/N up and carried her to their bedroom. “I need you.”

‘I wanna see you before I die,’ I thought as I felt more of my life being drained from me but I can't see you because you are dead. I wish I could have just told you I loved you too before the empty took you. I want to yell and scream at you for making that deal. How could you be so dumb Cass. You have always been there for me. I need you now god damn it! Where are you, you winged dick? All i can think about is how i never got to say i love you back i do i really do Cass i wish you could have told me sooner, why didn't you? You never were scared of anything, hell we even fought Lucifer together! Why couldn't you have said something? Why couldn't you have given me the chance?

Remember when things were much more simple when you were an angel of the lord and I was the man you, “Gripped tight and raised from perdition.” I've known lost all my life, I've lost pretty much everyone I ever cared about but you? Thats different you were suppose to be the one i didn't lose, the one i couldn’t lose. And now here we are, you sitting in the empty, probably cold and alone while I'm here on earth fighting for my life which is coming to an end. Sam doesn't know it yet but i can feel it im not going anywhere. This nail is holding me together at this point. I know it's probably impossible but if i make it to heaven i hope it's with you, i hope the memories that i relive is with you i wish we could have made more.

My whole life has been pretty shitty. I mean watching my mom die then my dad spiraled because of it. The one thing I got right was Sammy, I raised that kid while I was still one myself and he turned out pretty good. Jack, if you can hear my thoughts my prayers please keep him safe, keep the one thing i didn't mess up safe, keep my pain in the ass little brother safe.keep him safe because i won't be able to anymore like i have been his whole life. His whole life I took care of him cause without me he had nobody even though John clearly loved him over me he didn't show it often. Who is going to take care of him while i'm gone? I shouldn't have let this happen. I should have watched out for that nail. Why didn't I look out for it? Dad taught me better than that! I shouldn't be in this situation. It's my own damn fault that I am! Now I'm going to leave Sammy all alone because of my carelessness.

Cass, I know our time was short but it meant alot to me, and it clearly meant alot to you as well. If I ever see you again I wont need an explanation about why you left the way you did or why you said the things you did because I get it. I truly get it. I love you too that's what i would tell you if i ever got the chance to see you again i hope one day i will see some version of you, even a fragment of you would be something, Castiel, former angel of the lord, you mean alot to me thank you forever giving me the thought of day. The only reason they should make more Supernatural is if they bring Castiel back to life and give him some kind of satisfying ending. They just forgot about him at the end of the show and I'll never forgive them for that. They should do a mini-series or something to put that right at least. Or just give Misha Collins a 8 episode Cass spin-off or something. I think yeah maybe it's true that Dean and Sam's stories are over, but I didn't like the way they just fridged Castiel and forgot about him like he wasn't important. If they make more they should fix that as priority number one. #SPN

𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲: Sam and Dean are on the road looking into a lead that Castiel had given them. Sam is hoping that this will get them a step closer to getting Dean some help. Meanwhile, Dean is reluctant because the lead doesn't sound promising in aiding Cass in the hunt for Metatron. He thinks this will be a waste of time, but little does he know what he and his brother will find waiting for them in Cincinnati. Meanwhile, you are on a mission to find out why exactly Crowley has sent a demon to come and find you.

𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: SPN spoilers, the usual supernatural violence, torture and gore that may not be suitable for all audiences.

Sam was riding in the Impala beside Dean while he was driving. Castiel asked them to go to Cincinnati, Ohio to look into a lead. There was a report that a demon went to some sort of tattoo parlor and hadn't been seen again.

No one was sure if it was related to Metatron, or if an angel under him had something to do with it. Dean was a little skeptical at first but in the end he agreed to go with Sam, hoping this wouldn't be some sort of wild goose chase. It's like they've left every stone unturned when it came to locating the former Scribe of God but they would come in empty handed every time and it was really getting under Dean's skin.

"This had better be worth it, other wise we're just wasting time when we could be looking into an actual lead, not to mention it's a waste of Baby's gas." Dean said with a bit of a grumble. Sam rolled his eyes at the last part of the remark.

"With the amount of credit card frauds we've undergone, I think the car's gas is the least of our worries." Sam said with an arched brow and Dean shrugged a bit, gaze still transfixed on the road.

The constant burning in Dean's arm was relentless with the mark. He knew that he had the urge to kill. Something needed to be done, he needed to kill something on this hunt to get some sort of relief, even if it was temporary.

Sam had told Dean not to bring the first blade along. At first, Dean complied but the second that Sam wasn't looking, he tucked it into his jacket for safe keeping. After all, what if Metatron just showed up spontaneously? What if they ran into more than just a handful of demons on this 'new lead' Cass sent them on? Bringing the first blade was a necessary precaution even if Sam didn't see it that way.

"Dean? You alright, man?" Sam asked. Dean perked up when he was broken from his thoughts. But the older brother nodded a little.

"Yeah. Just hoping that this lead won't be a waste. If we don't take care of this mess soon, who knows what that bastard will do. Metatron has to die and we can't afford any more screw ups. Not when we've lost enough people over it." Dean said.

"Then there's the fact that Cass is obviously having trouble finding what he needs. I should be over there helping him out. He needs some answers and those stupid angels don't know how to get it out of the other angels they capture. they don't know a damned thing about interrogation and who knows when things will get worse on his end." He continued on.

Sam frowned, understanding where Dean was coming from. He couldn't blame Dean for feeling bad about Kevin. Nobody wanted something like that to happen. He was just a kid. And Kevin didn't deserve Gadreel killing him like that.

"Dean, if they need help with some interrogation tactics then I'm sure that Cass will give us a call. Especially considering your... experience. And I'm just as angry as you are about what happened to Kevin. I get what you're going through. But unless we have any other leads to follow, this is the best one that we've got for the time being." Sam said.

Dean took in Sam's words and his jaw tensed, his grip tightened on the steering wheel as his brows furrowed together. The mere mention of what happened to that kid was enough to make his blood boil.

"How could you possibly understand what I'm going through, huh? There's been enough shit in our lives, this mark is the only thing that has brought any hope in this whole damned disaster, and you do nothing but nag about the so called effects you think it gives me. It's always one argument after another over the one thing that can bring all of this shit to an end." Dean practically snapped.

Sam was a little shocked that he'd burst like that, yet he wasn't really surprised at what had been eating at his brother. He knew Dean wasn't one to open up about how he felt, but he didn't to a good job at hiding the fact that he was bothered either.

"Okay, wrong choice of words. But putting an end to this mess is a part of why we're out here right? As long as it's a step forward, then it's at least a step closer to the goal. It's a Hell of a lot better than taking five steps back, right?" Sam said with that typically optimistic tone that he seemed to have most of the time. The tone that Dean didn't always understand when things seemed to be at its darkest.

The real reason for coming to Ohio right now was because Cass had a hunch that it wasn't one of Metatron's angels that may have killed that demon. Maybe this person would be able to assist in killing Metatron. But what Sam was hoping for the most was that this would be the break they needed. That this lead would be the foretold, missing daughter of Cain. Dean needed a win, and Sam was hoping that this would be some kind of win for the both of them. Someone to help ease the suffering, help Dean gain some kind of control.

"Yeah, I guess you're right, Sammy. But if this thing turns out to be a disaster then you won't be hearing the end of it."

"Yeah, I've already gathered that." Sam said with a slight smirk.

Dean rolled his eyes a little before he leaned forward and pushed a button on the Impala's radio to play one of his cassette tapes. The next thing they knew, they were listening to Would by Alice in Chains.

"Well this is kind of different from your classic rock you normally play isn't it?" Sam asked and Dean shrugged.

"Nothing wrong with a little variety once in a while."

But once there was silence in the car again, outside of the music that was being played, Dean focused on the road. It would be another day before they'd get to Ohio. Then they could get this little 'lead' over and done with. Then he'd be able to kill some sort of monster or he could check on Castiel and see if he needed help with gathering information from Metatron's angels.

Either way, the mark was thirsting for blood, and Dean was trying his best to hold it together to keep Sam off his back.

You were growing antsy. The burning mark on your arm was more intense than it had ever been before. And somehow, you were sensing that there was another barer of the mark. They hadn't killed in a while and you could almost feel the thirst that person was going through as well.

But you were having enough of it. You had to know who this person was and you were willing to do anything to get to the bottom of it. Because surely this person, this mortal, had no idea what they were getting themselves into.

Needless to say, your little shop was closed for the day and your appointments were cancelled of course. And now, you were in your own cellar beneath your store.

There you had a summoning circle, an iron chair, and there was a demon trapped inside since the devil's trap was engraved into the iron shackles attached to the arms of the chair.

"What do you want with me? We know you killed one of the other demons just for stepping here. If you don't want to be found then why did you summon me?" The demon asked.

"Oh, Sweetie, who said that you were the one in charge of asking questions?" You asked with a chuckle as you moved your rolling table. On top of that table was your, what you liked to call, interrogation utensils.

You stooped down to the demon you had in a bind and you held your blade up to its chin. Now, this was no ordinary blade. Granted it wasn't as legendary as the First Blade, nor was it the demon blade that Ruby used to carry, but it was something similar that killed demons, angels, and monsters alike.

"Now, don't make this easy on me. It's been a while since I've enjoyed a good, slow kill." You smirked and the demon's eyes widened. The rumors were right. You were just as menacing as your father before you.

"But what if I don't know anything?" The demon asked as it regained its composure and attempted to be as unphased by you. You cocked your head to the side and shrugged a little before placing the side of the demon's cheek and watched the steam appear from the vessel's flesh since the blade was previously dipped in Holy Water. The demon hissed and gritted his teeth as if he tried not to scream.

"Well then, I get to have my own kind of fun. It's not like I can let you go now that you know where I am." You said.

"Now. Why is your pathetic king searching for me, hmm?" You asked and the demon's eyes shown black as he glared at you.

"If I'm going to die anyway, I'll never tell you." But then you slashed his cheek, causing him to wince as the wound started to bubble up due to the Holy Water.

"Oh, but I think you will. Now I'll ask you a second time: Why is Crowley looking for me."

"I will not betray the King of Hell."

Your brows narrowed. You had told him not to make it easy, but you needed to know why you were being sought after. You had to know what Crowley already knew incase you needed to go into hiding again.

So, you took your knife and cut off one of the demon's fingers before you dipped the wound in salt. Hearing the cries of the demon was a little annoying but you had to admit, there was finally a soothing feeling in your arm from the mark you were born with. It was finally some sort of release.

"Y-Your mark! He wants to know more about your mark to help a Winchester." The demon said.

You perked up when he finally gave some kind of information. You supposed losing a finger would have that effect on almost anyone.

"So your King that's too good to get his hands dirty is helping a human? Who is this Winchester?" You asked as the demon's head hung low.

You rolled your eyes with annoyance and you lifted the blade to his chin to make him have eye contact with you.

"If you have that much of a problem looking at me, I'll gouge those eyes right out of your skull. Now talk." You said as your eyes started to glow red.

"His name is Dean. Crowley was having trouble with the Knight of Hell, Abaddon. He went to Dean for help and they found your father. Your father gave Cain the Mark and Crowley wants to know more about it to hold the information over the Winchester's head to get what he wants, I assume." The demon spilled.

You lifted a brow as your eyes changed back to their normal color and you stood upright.

So, Crowley wanted some leverage, huh? You supposed that he couldn't exactly find the information he needed from some kind of book outside of the fabled Book of the Damned. No one seemed to know where that book was and that would have at least some kind of information Crowley could be after.

"That's all I know. let me go. I won't tell anyone where you are. Just spare me." The demon pleaded and you looked down at him again.

"Oh, Sweet Cheeks. I can't go around trusting demons not to give away my location. I'm sorry but you're just going to have to suffer." You said.

And with that, you placed your hand on the demon's head and your eyes glowed red once more. Suddenly, the demon started to let out a bloodcurdling scream and his eye sockets were glowing red. Blood started dripping from his eyes and the drops started rolling down his face like tears. Red droplets came out of his pores like sweat before turning into a black ooze.

Yet you looked at the demonic scum without a hint of expression in your eyes. But finally, finally there was a relief from the constant pain in your arm.

Once the demon was finally dead, you looked at the body. That has been the second demon you killed. But at least you got the information you wanted.

"Dean Winchester.." You muttered the name before looking down at the mark on your arm.

It hadn't even been two minutes but the pain was back like you needed to kill yet again. You placed your knife on the table and let your thumb graze over your mark.

"Dean, you don't realize what you've done."

Season 7 Episode 3.

I have officially lost all respect for Dean. Amy Pond had no reason to die, he went behind Sam's back and killed his friend. Killed a woman who was just trying to save her child! Told Sam he will start to trust him which means he definitely didn't before which is no shock to me. And once again was on Sam's back for not being "normal". Fuck Dean, Sam deserves better.

I am patiently waiting for Cass to come back.

IM SORRY IN ADVANCE I HAD NO IDEA THIS WOULD BE THIS LONG UGHHHH hopefully it makes sense.

In my opinion, I do think he’s the best brother to sam ever but also he is 100% abusive but also he’s been to hell… I think that’s a pretty big excuse but I’m not using it as an excuse it’s just the way he is, you know? He was pretty understanding and calm before hell but I feel like after it with a while (because right after it he was also grieving his old self and his time in there) he was just never ever the same.

like Sam came out of the cage broken because of what happened to him Dean came out broken because of what he did. They both lost parents of themselves and came out completely different.

He’s totally abusive to Sam, and Sam’s character is to always allow him to be that which is just… it’s fucked up how meant to be they are but also I feel bad for Sam, you know? I def think dean got better with the years, but still. Tbh I think he started taking it out on cass later season and his love for Sam grew after that, they became such a solid team because anytime dean thought something went wrong he mostly blamed cas not Sam (late late seasons) and I don’t like cas that much anyways so I don’t really care

That’s so true and I honestly love that about him he’s so self aware, bro never said he was a good brother, we did. He always knew he was failing Sammy in that department, but from my perspective it couldn’t have gone any other way, you know? I feel like I def watch the show from both of their perspective mostly because I can’t fathom caring about one more than the other, but Sam wants the hurt that dean gives him. He thinks he deserves every punch and insult and when dean said it should be you there he deserved that and when dean chose Benny he deserved that— but it’s also the way Dean loves him that keeps him afloat. Like if Dean had only showed Sam the sweet ‘there’s nothing, past or present, that I’d put in front of you’ and the chili scene when he called Benny to say bye and every single scene where Dean screamed at the top of his lung that he’ll burn down buildings if they touch his brother, he wouldn’t believe it and he’d think he definitely doesn’t deserve it and it’s just not real anymore, it’s not dean to him, it’s not his hot and cold brother. 

Deans the only constant in his life and I read something that says dean’s love is conditional but his presence isn’t and that sums up the reason Sam kept fighting to live after deans gone and the reason he was able to keep going after letting out Lucifer.  I think dean gives him the feeling he craves in the only safe way. Sam is adamant he deserves hurt, and he would get what he deserves no matter what, I mean, bro almost killed himself to lock up the demons because he thought he wasn’t pure. If dean didn’t punch Sam a little, insult him from time to time, take a break from Sam and make him feel like shit, Sam would kill himself. Dean is giving him the outlet in the most safe way possible for him, but not on purpose. Maybe subconsciously.

Can you tell I’m a dean girl? I hope not because I tried to give you my opinion in a totally unbiased way because I totally love your take on EVERYTHING and I thought I’d give you my pov too because I actually love discussing spn sm like wdym this little show on my screen means this much to not just me, but other people too? um okay sorry for like the never ending message I apologize💀

i agree with a lot of what you said!

absolutely fascinating to say that dean's abuse is like an outlet for self-harm/suicidality basically. esp because i tend to view dean as more self-destructive and suicidal. (usually, but the trials are a good example of sam that way). "If dean didn’t punch Sam a little, insult him from time to time, take a break from Sam and make him feel like shit, Sam would kill himself." don't think i can personally get behind this sentiment, because i think that dean (and previously) john are the reason that sam's feelings of uncleanliness and impurity and that he's deserving of hurt are so deeply ingrained in his psyche. (plus just the general way that his life has gone rip). sam also is less dependent and dean than dean is of sam (going to stanford, doing his best to move on when dean's in purgatory, living his life after dean dies at the end). dean cannot let sam die and cannot live without him i think.

personally this sentiment also reads a little bit like dean's abuse is good for sam somehow. i think what sam really deserved was anyone who told him he didn't deserve hurt and pain and abuse. maybe if dean didn't treat him like shit, he wouldn't be so convinced that he was a bad person. but dean tells him he is, so he thinks that way. dean's love is conditional. in order to receive dean's love, he must endure dean's abuse. there's this post about this that i really wanna find but i can't T_T . i can't say i'd agree with "sam wants the hurt dean gives hime either" but i do agree that he thinks he deserves it.

idk maybe i'm just a huge optimist and think that sam could've had so much better :(( but this is the family is hell show and that's the true horror of it all!! he can never escape. anyways i'm so glad you shared your pov with me too!! i love adoring this show with other people <33 it's so fucked up i love it so much i love how you see things <3

Watching supernatural for the first time. My girlfriend says I should post my reactions, so here we go. opinions on season 7 so far:

Garth is in fact fuckable, in a vibes way not a sexual way.

Bobby deserved better. Fucking idjit. (I am not mentally ok without bobby)

Dean being upset about Sam killing Emma who was actively trying to kill him, yet thinking it was totally justified to kill Amy who had no intention of ever killing again, major dick move.

I’ve been diagnosed by my gf as a “Dean-coded Sam girl” for whatever that’s worth.

Frank is a fucking icon and I love him 💕

Dean getting his movie dreams crushed with every time travel episode will never not be funny. Him getting roasted by his idols is the funniest shit I’ve seen for real.

Sam being afraid of clowns is hilarious considering Dean is some white face paint away from being employable.

We know you never got to hear Dean’s response, that dumbass couldn’t tell you his feelings even if they were standing next to him with air raid siren. But I do hope you know he loves you. Did anyone else forget they viciously hated season 15 of supernatural. I'm on episode 17 of my whole series binge and I'm seething at what they did to Dean. Let alone how passive Castiel is before his final moments. Knowing the next episode they kill him off makes me infuriated.

Watching this season is like sex on meth. It's good when it's there but for terrible reasons and it feels nice untill it's all gone and your left empty and sad and worse than you started. (I wouldn't know, don't do drugs, kids.)

Watching Dean go on a world ending tantrum. Jack dying with the Adam bomb (get it, Adam). Cass not using any of his resources or even stopping Dean like he was supposed to.

Sam's classic we need each other speech used before every season finale was honestly stupid that it had to come to that. The Dean thing was wayyy out of left feild I was half expecting him to stamp his foot into the ground and pout.

I just don't see an ending. I see panick and rush and big stakes but what I don't see is reccelaition or Dean finally getting peace in any way shape or form.

I don't see Castiel getting treated any better than he has since season like 10. He's the most useful asset and he's treated like shit and then when he leaves everyone gets pissed like they didn't drive him away.

And Sam... Don't get me started on how much Sam DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO PICK HIS BATTLES!!! He was all for trapping Jack in a box (L.O.L) for enternity just a while ago. Sam can't decide if he wants to be Dean's supportive yes man cheerleader or a character with problems and emotions. The flip flopping is making me mad. He can't even have his own opinion about Jack without Dean's approval.

Speaking of Jack I just kinda don't think they knew what to do with his character when they're done doing the whole " oOoO is he good or eViL" thing they just try to kill him and and give him kind the same arc he has with Duma about making his Dad's proud which is stupid. I don't think he was givien a lot of character let alone character development so any season plot solely about him flops in my mind.

Speaking of character development. Instead of deep plots with character growth and soft down to earth inner meaning. They yell and scream at each other and I feel like none of the characters like each other anymore. Happy moments are few and far between. Dean had some serious character assassination and Sam basically got declawed after the show decided he wasn't "main character enough" to have his own arcs in Dean's spotlight.

Btw at multiple points I was SCREAMING at my television the writing 😭💀. I think at one point I said " it feels like the writers are slamming their faces into the plot and painting with their wrinkly foreheads" (for well needed context, I am pro union always have been and no matter what choices execs or producers or writers choose to make everyone deserves live able wage)

But the writing got worse with age (though the direction and color grading got way better shots from the show look fantastic) I just don't think the team had any heart of new ideas to share with the class and as someone who goes to Supernatural to cry at the end of the day when the world is too much. It breaks my heart when Sam and Dean aren't Sam and Dean anymore.

Chuck wanted an ending where the brothers killed each other.

The wanted an ending where everyone dies the end.

Though chuck didn't get what he wanted they certainly did.

I don't know. If you like this season I envy you. If you think this is the perfect ending and you love it, I am so happy for you. But me personally. This is not it.

Okay, so I wasn’t sure if I was going to say anything about this, but I have to, for my own sanity. Excuse me for my rambling (especially about Castiel) and repeating myself, which I probably will do in this post.

Truth is I only got into Supernatural a little over a year ago. I just kept avoiding it over the years. I think when it was in it’s 7th or 8th season, I thought to myself “oh this should be ending soon. I’ll just wait til its over and watch it then” That did not happen. Jump to last year when I heard about the Scoobynatural episode. I love Scooby so I had to watch. And I loved it. And I really loved Sam and Dean. But I also couldn’t stop thinking about the guy in the trench coat with the deep voice named Castiel. Did very little research to find out he’s an angel. That’s all I wanted to know. Went to netflix and started watching the show from the beginning. By the time I got midway thru season 3 I was hooked. I started buying the dvds in bunches. Watching as much as a I could a week. When I got to season 4 I was Cass on the cover of the boxset and said “that’s him! That’s the angel! He’s in the season!” I actually didn’t know he would show up right in the beginning of the season but when Dean was at that gas station and gas started shattering I thought. That’s him isn’t it? That’s Castiel. Misha’s actual entrance on the show is the best in history. I do love Sam and Dean but I’m not going to lie and pretend like Castiel isn’t my favorite. Because he is. I adore that awkward angel. He is the reason I happily kept watching and brought all the dvds because I knew Misha was still working on the show. He is the reason I will buy season 15. I started shipping Destiel in season 5 but when I re-watched the series (Yes I watched it twice in less than a year. One over a period of several months the other over a few weeks before the show came back after hiatus.) I saw moments in season 4 that i missed the first time around.

So yes this finale makes me cry and not in a good way. although there are a few saving graces.

Let’s begin.

First let me start by saying I do not in any way blame the actors. Especially Jensen. He said he thought the ending was bad and had to be talked into it. Dean/Jensen deserved better. I blame the writers and producers and The CW

Now speaking of Castiel, who I mostly want to talk about before addressing the rest of this mess. Castiel/Misha deserved better. There really is no reason Misha couldn’t be in the final episode unless there was something on his end. Although seeing that he recently went to California to shoot a something for Amazon and took West to the Winchester House. He can definitely travel. But if there was some reason on his end, then okay, fine then. However that doesn’t excuse the way the handled his character in these last two episodes.

Yes in 15x19 Dean demands Chuck bring Cass back. Dean remembers Cass’s words when Chuck calls him the ultimate killer. Yes, Dean runs to the door when he thinks Cass has just called him. Instead in was Lucifer. What a slap in the face to the fans and an insult to Misha after that beautiful confession of love.

But the end of the episode. Jack becomes God and no one says “What about Cass?”

Now 15x20. Sam brings up Castiel and Dean is just like “move on“. No, That is not Dean. No matter what Dean cared about Castiel, to the point that being without him in the past led him to depression. i understand he doesn’t want Castiel’s sacrifice to be in vein. But come on. There’s living on and being happy and then there’s acting like the guy didn’t matter. Again, no. That is not Dean. Not after all the development those two have had. I know Dean wasn’t always perfect when it came to Cass but he did care. What happened to “We lost everything. Now you’re going to bring him back” What happened to the purgatory apology and admitting his anger issues. And so much more.

Again Castiel is in heaven. Jack got him out of The Empty. But they could of made it more clear. ( I swear, if they are leaving this up to interpretation....) Because I see so many people who have “conveniently” missed what Bobby said and insist he’s still in The Empty. Or just want to say “well that’s not what he meant. Cas is still dead, he just meant his influence on Jack” or some shit like that.(Now that I think about maybe influence isn’t the right word to use with this fandom lol)

Anyway lets say that Misha could not in anyway be there for filming. YOU CAN STILL ADDRESS HIS CHARACTER PROPERLY AND GIVE HIM A SATISFYING ENDING. In fact you barely have to change the scene between Dean and Bobby just add a few more lines.

Dean: “So Jack did all that?”

Bobby: “Well Cass helped”

Dean: “Wait, Cass is here?!”

Bobby: ‘Yep, Kid got him out.”

Dean: “Well where is he? Can I see him?”

Bobby (smiling): “Now calm down ya idjit. He’ll be back soon. Had some business to take of. But he is planning to stick around here with the rest of us.’

Dean (smiling, happy because he’s getting a second chance): Good. He belongs with us. With me. (takes a drink) It’s just too bad...

Bobby (knowing he’s talking about Sam: “Don’t worry he’ll be here shortly...”

Scene plays out as normal but instead when Sam and Dean are reunited. Dean tells him “Let’s head back, Mom, Dad, Bobby, and Cass are waiting for us. Along with everyone else we loved and lost when we were alive.”

Or... a few scenarios with Castiel there (even for a few moments)

1. When Dean dies (yeah we’ll talk about that) Jack sends down Cass to take him to heaven. Dean leaves his body. Watches as Sam falls apart and then hears “Hello Dean” turns and there’s Cass to guide him to heaven and also let him know Sam will be okay and will live a happy life”

2. The scene with Bobby starts the way it did but instead after he says “Well Cass helped” he points behind Dean.

Cass: “Hello Dean.”

Dean: “Cas! Aw, it’s good to see you. You have no idea.”

They embrace. Maybe the say something about the confession maybe they don’t but at least they’re together and we know that they have time to talk.

Episode continues as it did but again Dean tells Sam that Castiel is here waiting for them.

3. Episode plays exactly as it did. Except at the very end after Sam and Dean reunite on the bridge...

Cass: “Hello Dean. Hello Sam”

Both: Cass!

The three hug. Dean a bit longer.

Dean: “Well look at that. Team Free Will back together again. This time forever.”

In any scenario Castiel is living in heaven with the boys. Him and Dean eventually talk about what happened. In my canon Dean returns his feelings but even if he can’t it’s okay because Dean does care about Cass. And Castiel’s happiness was just in being able to say it. Either way they’re together along with everyone else they love and will be waiting for those who haven’t arrived yet.

Also Cass finally gets his guinea pig. Because he deserves it.

ONCE AGAIN, EVEN IF MISHA COULDN’T BE THERE. THERE WERE STILL BETTER WAYS TO HANDLE THIS ENDING! OH AND THERE BETTER NOT BE SOME LAME ASS THING LIKE ‘HE’S IN HEAVEN WORKING WITH JACK BUT ISN’T ALLOWED HERE BECAUSE THE NEW GOD LIKES TO KEEP ANGELS SEPARATE FROM THE REST OF US’

NO. CASTIEL IS DEFINITELY WITH DEAN IN HEAVEN. END OF STORY.

Moving on the other problems which I won’t go into full detail in like I did Castiel.

Dean’s death. The ever loving fuck was that? A nail?! I get that they finally get to call the shots in there own lives now but come on! A nail. And this is what a few weeks after defeating Chuck. Who, if he wants to can have a happy life. You know when Cass heard about this he rolled his eyes. Like “Really?!”

Ewwww that forehead touch. I know for most people it’s just a sweet final moment between two siblings as one dies. But we all know this is fuel for the Winc*sters and b*bros. I mean come on now. You’re afraid to have Dean even acknowledge Castiel’s feelings but a forehead touch that can and will be taken out of context as romantic between two brothers is fine and dandy. I was watching this with my Mom and even she was like “That forehead touch,,, why.. just why...”

Funny thing about my Mom. (Sorry not sorry going back to talk about Cass for a moment) She has been watching SPN with me this year but honestly only (not even) half paid attention. She has a habit of always looking at her phone even when it’s something she wants to watch. Two weeks ago after 15X18 I asked “Do you believe Cass’s confession was romantic?”

Her response. “No, they’re just friends. Angels aren’t supposed to feel romantic love.’ We get into a small argument.

A few days later...

Me: “Misha confirmed it was romantic.”

Mom: “Oh, well that settles it then. I just was taught that angels didn’t feel that kind of love.”

Me: “Yeah but your forgetting a few things. 1. Cass isn’t like other angels and 2. This is a fictional tv show not the actual bible.

Mom laughs: “Good point, Guess I didn’t think about that.”

Me: “Y’know people are actually saying  that Cass can’t be gay or bi because Dean isn’t.”

Mom: “That’s stupid. One has nothing to do with the other. Even if Dean doesn’t feel the same way that doesn’t change Castiel’s feelings.”

Jump to the last few days.

Mom: “Cass is going to show up in the finale. He and Dean will be reunited! Maybe he’s one of those people in the masks being controlled by The Empty. Or maybe there will be a scene in the barn where Dean is on the ground about to be stabbed and Cass saves him in the knick of time!”

Mom after the finale: “That was terrible. Very disappointed. They really couldn’t get Misha for few minutes. They better not use covid as an excuse with all those people on that bridge. Everything about this episode felt wrong” (she said that about 15x19 too). (Grabs her phone to look at twitter) “Misha is crying. This episode doesn’t deserve pie.”

We brought pie. We did not eat it.

Moving on.. .yeah yeah the wig on Jared was awful. But who cares. What I want to know is who is the mother? Is it Eileen? I hope it’s Eileen. It better be Eileen.

The barn. Why? Why that barn? Did they really think no one would notice. I get reusing sets and locations as completely different places. But that just hurt.

Did we need so many songs with no dialogue being spoken. I mean yes Carry On was a must have but so much time could’ve been spent talking about other characters during the other songs .

And again why are they trying to make Dean look bad. It’s not his/Jensen’s fault it’s the horrible writing of these final two episodes. Why did they not take to opportunity to talk about Castiel’s confession. Yes I’m  back on Cas again. I warned you. Also he’s probably the main reason you’re reading this anyway, so yeah...

I would like to believe a conversation happened off screen but the way Sam and Dean acted it doesn’t seem like it.

Again would it be so hard. Two scenarios

1.

Dean: “Before Cass got dragged into the Empty he told me...

Sam: :Told you what?”

Dean: He told me... he told me he loved me.”

Sam (smiling): “That’s not news Dean,”

Dean: “No Sammy. He really loved me... like... you know..”

Sam: “Again, not news Dean. How do you feel? “

Dean (hesitates): “ I think... no, I know I love him too. He’s the only man I’ll ever love.”

Sam: “Well you know technically Cass really isn’t male... so...

Dean: “Oh please Sammy. Could you imagine Cass in any other body? Especially a chicks. It would be so weird.”

Sam: “Good point.”

Dean: “Besides, he was perfect the way he was.”

2.

Dean: “Before Cass got dragged into the Empty he told me...

Sam: :Told you what?

”Dean: He told me... he told me he loved me.”

Sam (smiling): “That’s not news Dean,”

Dean: “No Sammy. He really loved me... like... you know..”

Sam: “Again, not news Dean. How do you feel? “

Dean: “I can’t return his feelings. I see him as a man and you know I’m attracted to women.”

Sam: “Alright then.”

Dean. “But y’know...”

Sam: “Hmmm?”

Dean: “I still miss him. I wish he was here with us.”

There were so many easy ways to fix this and they did nothing. Did they not think 15x18 would have a huge impact. I really hope the writers are kicking themselves for this. Funny, by ignoring Castiel and his feelings they actually brought more attention and love to him and Misha.

I really don’t know if a rewrite and reshoot for the dvd release is possible. Has that ever been done, I feel like it has but I’m not sure. But if it is. Fix it. It only took a few weeks to film these last two episodes. I’m sure all the actors can come back to film for a few weeks. Once there are less Covid restrictions of courses. I know there’s been talk about a possible movie. That could fix it. As long as they bring back the angel in the trench coat. Or how about a bonus episode for the dvd 15x21 where everyone is gathered in heaven. Sam, Dean, Cass, Bobby, Mary, John, Kevin, Charlie, Eileen, Jo, Ellen, Pam. Even Crowley and Rowena because why not. Oooh and Meg too because she did sacrifice herself for them and also I just love her.  Anyway they all gather and talk about old times. Perfect excuse for an old fashion clip show. Funny/heartwarming banter in between. Make Destiel canon at the end. Another possible way to fix it is do a comic book season or even just a few issues to flesh out the ending in heaven. Just fix it.

At least we have fanfiction.

If there are any positives to take away it’s this:

1: Castiel is in heaven with Dean. They are together. They have a second chance.

2. It was said only 30% of the fanbase would like this ending. Like many people I assumed that meant a Destiel ending. Cause I thought out of the whole fanbase shippers were in the minority. Nope turns of the the Winc*sters/B*bros are the 30%. Destiel fans, Cass fans, Misha fans are part of the 70% who hate this. Though why you would want to only please 30% of your fanbase is beyond me.

3. Sam was able to live a long happy life without being codependent on his brother.

I absolutely hated the last two episodes and how this show ended. Again the only saving grace is knowing Jack got Castiel out of The Empty and he and Dean reunited in heaven. But no matter how much I hated 99% of the ending. I still love this show and all it’s characters. I will happily go back and watch it over again to relive the good, funny, sad, bittersweet moments. The final 90 minutes of the series is not going to ruin that for me. I love Sam and Dean but Castiel is my favorite and I will happily go back and enjoy everything about his character. I am not going  to let this ruin Supernatural for me. Next summer I am going to my first SPN Convention and I can’t wait. I may have only discovered the greatness of Supernatural a year ago after avoiding it for so long but I want it to stay apart of my life. Like I said I only got into Supernatural a little over a year ago but this hurt my heart so much I only imagine how those of your who’ve been here for over a decade feel.

I know this was very, very long and I probably actually forgot some things I wanted to say. But I’m tired.

Cass and Dean are in heaven together. I believe they are canon 💙💚
