One of my cats has THE crinkliest little toy and when he’s in a playful mood he will bring it over and drop it at your feet (he is absolutely incapable of handing anyone toys) and meow until you throw it, and which point he will HURTLE himself after the toy. sometimes I throw it in the kitchen and he skids on the floors a bit and it’s so cute he gets SO excited. he’ll pick it up and carry it back and half the time he’ll drop it before he’s even remotely close and you have to stand up and get the toy to throw it again because *cant you see he needs you to throw it? what do you mean you can’t reach it from six feet away?*

1. i usually stumble into it. especially with my long and chaptered fics. ive been wanting to get more into the habit of planning things totally out, but that usually only works with oneshots.

6. hoping for the best, my friend. i am so bad at consistently writing unless it was last years nanowrimo. same goes for posting fics, i dont think ill ever have a posting schedule.

78. umm. this one is a toughie to answer bc i kind of just end it. i find a solid place where plot isnt being introduced. unless its a cliffhanger. then i just. dramatically. stop it.

99. ive been a reader for as long as i can remember. id bring a book with me whenever possible. as for writing though, i didnt really start writing until one of my grade school english classes assigned us a creative writing project and i loved it. it is just a hobby though.

Friday Fic Recs

I'm back with more BNHA fic recs, I have read hundreds of Quirkless Vigilante Izuku fics and well, I enjoyed a lot of them. In fact, my first fic posted to AO3 was a quirkless vigilante Izuku one shot. So, today, I present fics in which Izuku is a quirkless vigilante and interacts with Aizawa Shouta. These are all less than 6k words and arranged in alphabetical order.

Izuku thought what happened on his last grocery trip was a one-off occurrence. Hint: it wasn't. Accidental vigilante Izuku! I love how he falls into vigilantism in this fic and all the lives he touches (and baffles). It's really sweet and he comes off so kind here!

After a month of chasing Knockout around corners and across rooftops, Shouta finding the vigilante bleeding on his doorstep is the last thing he expects. Our boy bites off a bit more than he can chew! I love his relationship with Aizawa in this fic and how Aizawa gained his trust. They are both so caring.

Izuku is a vigilante, Aizawa likes cats and therefore kids who help cats, and sometimes breaks must be forced upon overachieving teenagers. This one gets a special shout out for its worldbuilding! I love Izuku's backstory! I love the in-story speculating and theorizing! Aizawa's relationship with Izuku is also a delight.

Hello, my dearest My Hero Academia Readers! Tis' Maud again, and I have a hoard of fics to give to the masses again. I managed to save about 102* My Hero Academia Fanfics that I told myself that I would read..and ended up putting on the back burner.

So, since Midterms are about to be happening on my college campus...I decided to make a Post-Midterm Reading Fic List to share with anyone who’s interested!

that one tma au that i was borrowing. i’m sorry juno… i don’t even know if you remember i started writing it LMAO

oh flowery language for sure. my parents forcing me into that extracurricular english class really shines through when i get to use the sat vocabulary

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

face in hands. build up. i have the main scenes down on lock but then i have to build the suspense and tension and do all the thingymajigs and doodads before that and i collapse on my face and decompose

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

i mean if it’s in spanish or mandarin? sure. i’m confident enough in my ability to make those sound natural enough, but any other languages. well. haha. [walks into the ocean never to return]

oh, warriors cats oc fanfiction i wrote at ten years old… where would i be without you

20. Favorite fic you've written?

a hunting dog’s lullaby, by a long shot. it’s the one i worked the hardest on. it’s got some janky spots but i’ve got a net positive outlook on how it turned out. versus the craigslist fic which i made in under two days 😭
