In this scene, Steb has his ears pinned back. His ears naturally rest pointing outward from his head. In the second scene, it looks like he's holding them back, but if you look closer in the first one, they're actually just resting flat against his head.

I see a lot of people saying that it's probably due to him being sad about Maddie's betrayal, but I feel like that's a little too vague. YES, he's most likely sad that his buddy stabbed him in the back, but I feel like it's more a shame kind of thing.

IN THE GIF BELOW, you'll see what I'm talking about. He looks over at Caitlyn, but after giving her a small glance, he looks back down, seeming to show some kind of shame or defeat. (Maybe even hopelessness?) There doesn't appear to be an out in their situation, and Steb knows that. I suppose he COULD be ashamed that he had trusted Maddie, but I feel like it's mainly just the defeat from the battle.

You can see his whole ear in the kneeling scene, and it's clear that he's not touching it. His ears just naturally pin back during some situations.

Not only that, but there are multiple scenes where you can see his ears twich. (I picked scenes from the same episode since it's easier to see here.)

But this is where my third bullet point comes in, as well as why I'm kind of iffy on it. During the fight with the shimmer guys, Steb almost gets FUCKING SPLIT IN HALF, but Loris comes in clutch and sheilds Steb.

While Steb is curled up for the impact, he pins his ears against his head, as you can see here.

I feel like him being "Scared" isn't exactly the reason why he pinned his ears against his head. During the whole fighting scene, you can tell he is QUITE terrified, but he didn't have his ears pinned back until the scene above. I feel like it's less terror and more tension. He tensed up and curled on himself due to him expecting impact, causing him to pin his ears back.

So like one common theme when discussing bullying is the tendency for bullies to project their insecurities on their victims right? like them taking their own shit out on the people they bully?

so i know that may not be exaaaactly the case with Max Jagerman in Nerdy Prudes Must Die like the dude even in the afterlife just really fuckin likes terrorising the shit out of people due to his god complex BUUUUT what I found very interesting was when in the Nerdy Prudes Must Die sequence, he was telling Richie to repeat after him: "Who will pray for me when my body's gone or until another Richie comes along?" And mind you, this song comes directly after another musical sequence about all the teens in that high school being so fucking happy that Max was gone. And like, well yea you can't blame the kids for being happy that Top Terrorizer #1 is gone and that they don't have to abide by his social strata anymore - but then again, having nobody pray or give a fuck about Max after him being mysteriously missing for 2 weeks is,,kinda fucked up for Max no matter the kind of person he is. So, to see someone he victimised get the attention and appreciation I would assume Max would've wanted from his team especially after being missing for so long - it really does seem to me that he was projecting onto Richie when he was about to kill him and making him feel how little he will matter to other people when he dies - like what he could've felt after literally everyone considered the high school "objectively better" now that Max was gone.

Which makes things a whole lot more interesting when Max snaps out of his WHO WILL PRAY FOR YOU solo when Richie belts out I'M NOT A LOSER - henceforth defying the idea of worthlessness Max was projecting onto Richie. So damn.

As for what you were saying about The nose and Mouth being on the same line: I'm imagining what you're talking about is the line starts at the tip of their nose and goes down to their chin? Kinda like some anime styles? My recommendation would be to do what I show above: Draw an egg-ish shape. And the make sure to draw the nose as a Spike/Orb/Whatever shape is your dream desire, popping out of it. Kinda think of it like a mountain in the middle of a flat Plane. Sticking out like a sore thumb. Besides that!!! References are your best friend!! Reference other artists!!! Reference IRL people!! And keep on keeping at it!! Like I said, I used to be TERRIBLE at drawing them, and here I am now :D I'm not always happy with them, and sometimes I still hate how I draw faces (working on that tho) but I'm miles better than when I was a kid. I just want to point out that for ep8, SANTIAGO KICKS ARMAND out of his office, moves into said office, and gives Armand his mirror, while Armand puts a few things from this office into his new little corner.

Also, the Lestat shrine cubicle by the stairs gets dismantled and reused for someone else
