This song is the title of my longfic that describes Valaire's life, starting with him suffering from the aftermath of the relic.

Especially during his relationship with Faye and Valaire he was not able to let them see when he was hurt, which caused Valaire to think sometimes, that Vicco doesn't care (enough) about him. Which results in Valaire leaving him in the end for Kerry.

alrighty, since i haven't dumped out the surprising amount of mili songs i associate with batsu!omori i'll just go with rubber human like i said in that earlier post

this is gonna be long ofc so the lyric analysis is under the cut

If I can be a robot I'll be a robot that throws all your tears into the trashcan

Omori's a character often compared to that of a machine or robot. Maybe even android. In the case of this AU's interpretation of Omori, he just wants Sunny to be happy after the events of the game, hence being a robot that throws all [his] tears into the trashcan.

I'll be an eggplant Listening to you when there are no ears to be lent

Eggplants are often referenced in other songs made by Mili, most notably world.execute(me) and world.search(you), the latter of which I also associate with my AU's Omori. lmao.

That aside, I'd interpret this lyric as something referencing when Sunny was isolated with only Omori technically being around. Alternatively, it'd reference Yurushite's early chapters where Sunny's all alone after moving away, and Omori's quietly sitting in his head and listening in on his thoughts. Er, until Omori starts giving him "sleepwalking" problems.

I'll be honest, I don't have anything for the first two lyrics.

The second two, however...I'd say they reference how this AU's Omori feels guilty about his past and the mistakes he made, if he can even call them mistakes. He'd want it all to be erased, if it could be. But he can't run from his purpose, now can he?

If I can be a flower I'll be a flower that makes your desert into a garden I'll be a kitten Purring for you when no other voice can wake you up inside

You could say this references Basil and Mewo.

You could also say that these lyrics are an extension of the first, emphasizing that Omori's still wants to be there for his creator when no one else will.

You told me that I was your everything But now we're left with nothing

Omori was made as a vessel and protector, and he's supposed to carry out that role for his entire life.

That role has been relinquished. He's left with nothing.

I still have this feeling that we might be able to undo To redo Believe me it's true

He wants to atone. He wants to apologize. He wants to be better than what that emotionless vessel once was. He wants to start over, in a sense.

My day and night run on my love for you

Omori cares about Sunny. A lot. Could be an effect of being made to protect him, could be a genuine attachment. He doesn't know.

If you interpret this in a romantic way, I will smack you.

I'd say this is more talk about his guilt and how it's affecting him. He's not doing very well, as you can see.

If I can be a human I'll be a human who is way better than who I am I'll be a human A better human How much I wish that we can be in love again

Emphasis on how Omori wants to be a better person(?) than what he once was before. He doesn't want to hurt Sunny anymore, and just wishes for the both of them to reconcile in some way.

Again, if you interpret this in a romantic way, I will smack you.
