Harbinger of winter. Shepherd of souls. Defender of the wild.

All of these terms can describe Peyton Frost, but none of them truly encapsulate who he is. For Peyton is a fey, and not even his name is his true one. However, it is enough to justify his presence in the party he is with, to fight for a justice long stifled in a place corrupted by evil.

He doesn't fight for king or country, he fights for the land itself.

The fey are fond of solving problems in unusual ways, and one of those solutions involve inducing a fresh start. Sometimes, they even impose such a fate upon one of their own kind.

That was how he found himself being jolted awake, lying on the side of a road with nary a memory in his mind. He doesn't know who he is, what he is, or how he came to be there. Not even his given name is something that he remembers, so he has chosen that of Peyton Frost instead. Peyton, for the atonement he must now seek out in payment of what he has done, and Frost, for the eternal rime that clutches at his heart.

All he knows he is a warrior, someone who has become the darkness that common people fear. Now, he must fight that darkness inside of himself and which blankets the land, as he knows it better than anyone else.

The journey so far has not only been one to purge the evil that has corrupted nature itself, but one of self discovery. Peyton didn't even know he was a fey until he was told so. He didn't know who he should protect until instincts guided him to protect those who couldn't protect themselves. As for those who were long gone, then at least he could shelter their souls in himself.

For Peyton Frost is a hexblood, one born of the fey. He has yet to know who had transformed him into what he is now, but that is an ongoing mystery he will relentless pursue until he finds the truth, no matter how painful it might be. It has irrevocably changed him in more ways as well; he has become a blood hunter. Drawing upon his own life force to imbue his naginata with the elemental nature of ice, death is his trade, and fighting is his specialty.

Both of these aspects intertwine to make him an echo knight. However, his echo is not of himself, but the soul that he harbors within his empty heart. He gives them the opportunity to enact upon the material world while they are with him, and perhaps to even resolve any unfinished business they have remaining before they must pass on.

Peyton Frost is a relentless force of nature. He is a glacier of a man, stoic and methodical. But he is also adamant for better or worse, for nothing will deter him from doing what he believes is right.

Had a great time working on this one!

I can't say that I managed to draw everything exactly the way I wanted to on this art, but generally I am very pleased with the result. I love when the concepts from the casual dnd are shifted to modern aesthetics, and I also like to draw tired men in well-fitting clothes, haha

In fact, I come to the conclusion that warlocks are my favorite class in the game. The very concept of the class gives rise to so many unique stories, both strange and forced unions, (like the one the character of today's picture has with his patroness), and quite comfortable symbiotic relationships, like some of my personal characters, whose drawings I plan to post.

Whilst designing my unicorn species I decided I should add more to their world and not make it just Kit

Red- Narissa, a ceremony leader and political juggernaut in the political landscape of the planet Ufraxia, her weapon is crafted of the horns of other unicorns and their body crystals. Despite her rugged towering appearance and political influence through harsh violence and a iron thumb, she’s rather soft and has a tenderness and love for children.

Yellows- Nessa and Phaedra, Both are farmers and rather in love. They are unaware of the violence used to govern their planets landscape and live a cushy lifestyle to keep them complacent to provide the Black City with food. Many would rather just ignore it. Nessa (blue and polka dotted top) specializes in animal care and cultivating products from livestock. Phaedra (green top and silver jewelry) specializes in horticulture and raises prized flower fruit.

Not quite my usual. I haven't come up with a full back story for her yet, but for now I'm referring to her as the wandering mage. I wanted her staff and accessories to have an organic, earthy feel.
