AITA threatening to whisk my partner away after his father threatened to make us break up?

I'm gonna be frank, I only am writing this because my boyfriend thinks it's a funny idea.

Aparently the fact that I was a teenager while my partners adopted father was just a child is one of the man's main concerns and he tries to bring it up ever single time we see each other. If it's not that it's about my job and what I do and the rules he tries to impose upon me for being "part of the family now" or when I'm in his home city.

I think he's being unreasonable and needlessly concerned. It's not like the he is much older than my partner, age-wise they're more like brothers than father and son (not to mention that the whole family relationships are a mess anyway, I swear they change it every few months just to fuck with me)

After he learned my partner was pregnant he threatened me with several bodily harm and a promise to ensure that I would never be able to touch my partner again or be able to come near him, much less see my child. He even tried to imply that he would try to convince my partner to abort but we are all aware that my partner wants to have children and wouldn't listen to such a request. (Also the Bastard is weak for children as well so that was most likely a bluff to begin with).

Upon this I told him that if he even tried to seperate me and my partner I would flee the country and move somewhere where even the bastard wouldn't be able to find us.

He took this very seriously and got even more problematic, instead of backing down (not that that was to be expected). His... there is no good word to describe that person, my partners adopted grandparent disapproved of my choice of words and tried to tell me I was very out of line for it.

I do not think I am in the wrong whatsoever, nor does my partner. We are both allowed to do what we want with our own lives and I think it would actually be helpful if my partner left the controlling clutches of his father, at least for long enough to raise our child.

While the rest of the family is a bit wary of me it is for very different reasons and no one else has opposed our relationship yet. (Ignoring my partners youngest brother but that's more childish jealousy from suddenly having to share my partners attention with me.)

So am I the asshole for threatening to distance myself and my partner from his adoptive father until he learns to calm down about our relationship?

honestly im so glad the CoD wasn't in golden cheese update. Their presence would kinda ruin the vibe because we'll already know that they'll lose and its better that the conflict of GC's arc is within her kingdom.

Like, remember, everyone in that virtual world died defending the kingdom. Mozarella knew that the way GC dealt with the aftermath is not ideal but she didn't have power to do something about it.

As much as ppl are frustrated with Smoked Cheese, he's still one of the people who died defending the kingdom too. Being "revived" by your Queen God and living in a reality that you know is fake. Not being allowed to process the trauma of everything that happened because your ruler refused to acknowledge it. I genuinely think that he was pushed to the edge with it.

Golden Cheese knew that she and Smoked Cheese had different views but they both cared about the kingdom. We've seen how she reacted to it being gone, I assume that's his own reaction about it also being gone, just living in that fake world making him lose his grip. Yeah it's not a "heroic" way of dealing with it but I think it's a nice touch to show how GC's denial affected the subjects she wanted to protect.

That's why I really like how she dealt with him in the end. She's hurt and angry at his betrayal, but she's greedy and he's still her subject.

I think towards the end, seeing how Mozarella and Smoked Cheese betrayed her, realizing that she forgot about the cheese birds that survived, was a huge wake up call.

Anyways the update was GC going through the stages of grief but with a long denial arc.

I really like her relationships with Mozarella, High Priest Bird, Burnt Cheese, and Smoked Cheese. Such a nice difference towards how they see their God (and im eating it all up).

I just hope that we actually get a story of her finding out about Lily being Dark Enchantress because we SAW how HB and DCa reacted to it. But that's for another update and I believe it should be another update because girlie went through a lot lmao.

Gouda is pronounced as G (Dutch HARD G sound that sounds like you're an animal about to attack) OW (English pain sound, so just ou or au in Dutch) da (just da)

It is not close to "good" at all, and if you pronounce it in a way that sounds similar to "good", then you are wrong

( Summary: Scott noticed he's run out of milk but it's nothing that a simple grocery trip can't fix! )

“Huh, we’re out of milk.” You heard Scott say as he closed the fridge. He had his lips pursed as he turned to you, who sat at the small kitchen table eating a PopTart. He sadly looked down at his bowl of dry cereal, “guess I’ll eat something else..”

Placing the bowl the counter, he started looking through the cabinets. “Wh- hey, where’s the PopTarts?” “Oh this was the last one.” His eyes snapped to you as you took your last bite of the last PopTart and he groaned. “Well, what am I supposed to eat?” You shrugged “That dry cereal?” You tried not to laugh at his pouty face but it was near impossible with the way he was looking at you. “I’m not eating it dry.” “Then get some milk.” “We don’t have any milk!” “Hun, I meant at the store, let’s go to the store and get some milk- and other things.” You stood and went to his side, wrapping your arms around his waist, bringing your face closer to his. “I don’t know if you’ve noticed but there really isn’t much of anything left in this kitchen.” He looked to the side and hummed, “I guess it had been a minute since I’ve gone shopping for the house." You hummed along with him and he sighed. "..I'll get my keys."

"Scott, remember we need to get real food too." You told him, looking down at your arm where your basket lays and seeing nothing but snacks. "I know that," he scoffed playfully and directed his attention back to the snacks. "I'm just grabbing stuff for Cassie." That was a half lie and you both know it. You let out a nose laugh and you shook your head as he added a bag of Goldfish to the growing basket of snacks. "That's the last one for now I swear." You audibly laughed at that one which made him let out a laugh as well. "For now?" he chuckles and goes to your side that's not carrying the basket and grabs your hand. "Yeah, for now." His smile was as big as ever as he watched you come down from your laughter. Making you laugh or smile just fills his chest with pride and he adores it.

"What are you staring at?" you quirked an eyebrow at him as he stared directly into your eyes with a smile on his lips. "You, cutie." he bumped his hip against yours and you rolled your eyes at him, though by the smile on your face it was clear you weren't annoyed in the slightest bit. "You're so cheesy Scott." He raised your intertwined hands to his lips and gave yours a kiss. "I dis-a-brie." You threw your head back and groaned as he laughed and swung your hands drastically with a large smile on his face. "Was that a fucking cheese pun?" "ha, maybe." "ughhhh you gouda brie kidding me!" Scott gasped and abruptly stopped walking. Turning to you, his shock face soon turned mischievous. "Do you realize you've just started a war?" You smirked "A cheese pun war?" Scott nodded and you sighed. "I'm gonna re-grate this, aren't I?" "Ohoho, that was gouda." "All this cheese talk has made me realize we should probably actually get some shredded cheese." Scott nodded and so the two of you progressed into the dairy aisle together.

You grabbed a shredded cheddar mix and added it to your basket. "You think we should get yogurt?" You asked but didn't get a response. "Scott?" You turned and saw Scott staring at you with a small smile on his face. He always seemed to admire you when you weren't looking. It was something you queued in on before the two of you even started dating. "You're staring again Scotty." His eyes flicked to yours and he smirked, "I can't help it, you just look so gouda today." You stared at him for a second before shaking your head. "Are gouda puns the only cheese references you can make?" You narrowed your eyes at him, "Oh you feta believe I have many more cheese puns." "Yeah? Well I'm getting feta up with these puns." "Alright alright, because I love you, I'll stop." You sighed, "thank you." "But just in queso you didn't know-" "I'm leaving." "Hey, wait up!"

You sighed as you finished unpacking your last bag of groceries. Placing the cheese in a drawer in the fridge. You were gonna close the door but something caught your eye, well more like a lack of something. You shuffled the old and new products around in your fridge before looking back towards the table where Scott was collecting the empty bags into a bigger bag. "Uhh, Scott.." Upon hearing his name his head shot up, a questioning look on his face as he waited for you to speak. "You're not gonna believe this but.." You closed the fridge and leaned against it with a nervous smile on your face. He shook his head quickly and stood up straight, his hands falling to his sides. "What?"

"...We're out of milk."
