Imposing/projecting headmate presences is great because you're a little bit uncomfy, in pain and trying (but failing) to sleep? Boom, sensation of eldritch distortion monster cuddling you.

What happens when I read your words?
I feel them.
You write about firm hands on soft flesh and I feel the faintest sensation of them.
You write about hips grinding from behind and I arch back into them.
You write about tipping a submissive's head up, and my chin rises.
A thumb probing their mouth and my lips part.
A hand in their hair and my eyes close.
They're pushed to the ground and my knees go weak.
Their face is against your sex and I inhale deeply.
Your words resonate in me with a feeling that's like being slowly edged.
I bite my lip.
I whimper.
I need more.

I think Im experiencing phantom sensations? Maybe? I’m not sure how intense those are supposed to be but like. Like I just have this vague feeling of where wings should be and how they’d shift with the rest of my body. And yesterday I had a similar experience with a tail.

(Anon because We're only out to a select few friends) We're a bit late to the system name thing but We're the Featherlight Collective, and we got our name from the vast majority (6/7 so far) of us having some kind of phantom wings! - 🪶
Awesome! That's such a nice name :)
Many of us have phantom limbs, including wings, and it's really pleasant to focus on the sensation of those additions to our physical form. It helps us feel more solid as ourselves in a body that's so different from our own. We can't literally give the body wings or antlers or tree root legs, but letting ourselves fully embrace the pale feeling of their form here and now is still a really nice sensation.
I know for some that sensation is unpleasant and causes dysphoria, and that's valid too. :)

A few of us have constant phantom shifts. In our system, fronting and having phantom shifts of your headspace body is common, which of course includes animal features. The amount of times that someone fronts and they have antlers they're trying not to bash on doorways (even though they're not physically there) is astounding.
We also have a few people who are constantly mental-shifted to a kintype or two of theirs, moreso on a sliding scale between them than anything. You could be, say, 50% one thing and 25% another while also being 15% another thing and the scales just change like adjusting a slider for each individual kintype.
We don't get other types of shifts too often, so we can't really comment on any of those. Overall it's pretty common for us to have at least one type of shift going on at any given time.
fun little question for therian tumblr
Any of y'all have shifts that just, never go away? My phantom ears and tail never go away, unless I'm having a shift for one of my other theriotypes since they usually don't blend together. Them phantom ears and tail be going HARD all the time. Paws are also a near constant.
#i think phantom shifts are the most common for us though#theyre pretty close to constant for most of us#rb#six (any pronouns)#everything althu#everything otherkin#otherkin expeirences#althu experiences#animal identity#nonhuman identity#phantom sensations#shifting

I was having a conversation yesterday morning about phantom limbs and remembered that back when we joined the otherkin/therian community, around the sort of spiritual side of it, there was relatively common talk of how they affected the real world.
Children commenting on them, animals acting as if you had them while you were shifting, or people walking around them or staying out of their way in general. We mainly heard mention of peoples interactions with children saying things like "bird!" or "fluffy!" or something, but we heard other stuff too.
Is this still a thing that's talked about? We've never experienced anything like it as far as we can remember--not that we pay attention to see if people avoid walking through our wings or tails--but we do remember it being spoken of enough for us to take note. Maybe it was just the communities that we were in, seeing as they tended to lean spirituality-based?
Honestly just curious as to if this is a thing that's still spoken of, it's a part of what we grew up around that we don't tend to see anymore and I'm wondering how common it is. Do people just not talk about it, or was it a thing that doesn't happen all too often and we were just in the right spaces to hear it?

Dani randomly comes across Deadman during her travels and injects him with one of her doses of ectodejecto to heal him because he is a very weak ghost. Then argues with him for letting himself waste away like that and coming to Amity Park if things don't get better. And if it's still not okay, to ask about Fenton, but be careful, Fenton CHILD!
bonus point if he was there with other heroes as part of an investigation mission and suddenly, all “normal” humans can see him. The panic that ensues can be so glorious, especially if the magical hero doesn't realize the problem himself/herself because it doesn't change anything for him/her

mmmmm danny with sensory issues both in and out of his ghost forms, but on the opposite ends of the spectrum. Ghosts can't experience sensations the same way humans can when they're in the mortal realm. They're naturally intangible, and it takes energy to be physical. When they're physical, all touch feels the same barring the texture. They feel no heat, no chill. Sunlight passes through them, and so does wind and rain.
You know when your foot falls asleep/goes completely numb, and you go to touch it with your hand and it causes a strange jumble of sensations? You can feel the skin there, your palm is pressing against an object and there's resistance, pressure, but you can't feel the heat? It's kinda something like that. Like he's feeling everything through a set of gloves.
As a ghost, when it rains, he can feel the raindrops hitting him, and he can feel his hair getting wet, but he can't feel the chill of the water and he can't feel the wetness. His suit is soaked but there's no weight like there should be. During the winter snowflakes don't melt when they land on him, and he can't feel the chill of the snow when he gets buried under it.
Sunlight passes through him, a nice breeze ruffles his hair but there's no relief in the sensation. All pressure, no sensation. It's like a strange form of sensory deprivation. And of course, the internal things. It's even worse when he's intangible, when he's not putting energy into being physical. He doesn't feel real.
As human, things become too much. Especially when he's been a ghost for hours. He can feel the weight of his ribs pressing against his ribs, he becomes hyperaware of the expanding of his lungs when he breathes, the feeling of his heart pulsing in his chest.
He curls his fingers in and out slowly and becomes fascinated by the feeling of the joints moving. He turns and grabs Tucker's hand, and soaks in the warmth of his body heat -- he can't feel it as a ghost. He runs his fingers through his hair, and he can feel the individual strands.
There's a weight when he walks. A small drag when he bends his knee and lifts his leg and takes a step, and when he's been a ghost for too long he stumbles over himself, drags his feet along the floor and stomps when he doesn't mean to because he forgot to weigh his steps. Sometimes when it rains he goes out and sits on the front steps of the house just so he can come back in shivering and soaked through to the bone. Runs his fingers obsessively over the goosebumps up along his arms and legs because he can't get them as a ghost even if he's cold.
Because there are certain things, even when he's in the ghost zone, that are exclusive to the living. The little internal things you don't notice and take for granted. Things like breathing and goosebumps and exhaustion exclusive to running that makes your heart pound against your ribcage and your chest hurt with the need for air. Sore muscles from working out and sweating. Thirst and dry mouths, chapped lips and hands, blinking and dry eye, the feeling of the sun soaking into your skin on a nice summer's day.
As a ghost, Danny faces sensory issues in the form of not enough. When he can't feel the hair behind his ears or the weight in his limbs where there should be muscle, tissue, and bone. He can't feel the sun or the wind, everything is in a permeable state of 'just fine', and its maddening. He can breathe if he wants, but there's no point to it. He has no lungs, he can't feel them expand, and there's no relief behind it. He's going through the motions without any of the reward.
On those days, the idea of going ghost again makes him feel ill. Paranoid. He can't stand the thought. He needs to feel. He needs to feel the soft texture of the rug beneath his feet and the grooves in his knuckles, he needs to feel dirt crumble beneath his fingers and get stuck under his nails, he needs to feel the heat of his sister's hand and the feeling of body warmth passing from her to him. He lays on the carpet room and stretches out, and focuses on the feeling of his heart beating and the weight of his bones and muscles and tissue pinning him to the floor.
As a human, Danny faces sensory issues of too much. When all the things he's starving for suddenly make him sick. He feels trapped in his own skin. His ribs become a cage and breathing becomes a dumbbell that he can't put down. He can feel the hair along his arms and it rashes him. He's too cold, he's too hot. He feels like a ghost puppeteering its own corpse and he needs out.
On those days, Danny dips away when he can and goes ghost, and Sam and Tucker don't see him for the rest of the day. He's gone invisible, intangible, and he does nothing but exist.
Just, him experiencing sensory issues as both ghost and human, but in opposite directions from each other. And the idea that ghosts experience the mortal realm differently, and that there are certain things that are just exclusive sensations for the living that Danny doesn't realize until he's a halfa.
#danny fenton is not the ghost king#danny fenton#danny phantom#dp ghost headcanons#dp headcanons#dpxdc#danny phantom headcanon#<- bc i originally thought of this for the blood blossom au except its generic enough of a headcanon that it also works as a standalone#but also i think dpxdc folks would get a kick out of this#but yeah danny realizing that there's SO much that the living have and experience that ghosts don't even in the infinite realms.#i imagine that when he overshadows someone he can re-experience a handful of those sensations like if he were living and suddenly#he understands really well why there are some ghosts who come thru the portal that almost exclusively overshadow people. Or try to.#The mock feeling of being alive again must be *addicting* to some of them. Because he knows it is for him when being a ghost is too much#not a lot of extra tags today folks i got everything i needed to say out into the post :]

I don't agree with the objections to "phantom" on these grounds, but at least I see the logic. Objecting to "limb" instead is, uh... a bit strange.
Why can't we call phantom shifts "phantom limbs"?
I might make a video about this in the future, but I'd like to make you all aware of a recent development in alterhuman terminology. The use of the medical term "phantom limbs" is heavily tied to Phantom Limb Syndrome (PLS) which is a medical condition that affects amputees and those born with congenital differences in anatomy. It can be similar but is vastly different from what otherkin and therians experience during phantom shifts. People experiences PLS have made it known that comparing phantom shifts to the actual loss of a limb or PLS is offensive, so this will not be done again. We recommend using the words phantom shifts, parts or appendages, or specify that appendages such as phantom paws, wings, tails, etc. instead.
I personally take responsibility for having made this comparison in the past, and I'd like to apologize to people who experience PLS or have lost a limb for doing so. It was not my place to make this comparison, as I cannot know what the experiences is actually like.
I urge everyone who may own an Alterhuman platform (whether that be a Discord server or social media platform) to spread the word about this. You are free to use part of this text to explain things.

ever since you made that bluetooth pleasure connection joke I am not able to stop thinking about it 😭
like what if one of them forgot to disconnect and they’re in a situation? Ex: fighting for their life and trying to defend themselves and BOOM their weak in the knees and trying to fix their composure as they’re getting shot at. But finding it impossible to as they can feel the sensation of plowing into some good pussy
or if they were doing their job in a big meeting and as they were in a middle of explaining a chart and trying to get deals in but suddenly BAM we see them trying to keep their composure with an annoyed/shocked expression trying to hide their stiffie
HAHAHHAHAA OH NO 😭
This is why the Engineer always has to make sure that the Bluetooth connection is off, but maybe one day after getting plowed so hard, she forgets to. Which in turn, leaves many of the Androids going on to their respective jobs with their pleasure at the hands of whatever Android decides to fuck you next.
Perhaps Stelle stayed back with you while the other Androids went to work, and decided to do a “Round 2,”which ends up with several of the Androids stifling moans and trying to keep their composure. Kafka narrowly dodges a bullet and grimaces when she feels that familiar ghost sensation of your pussy wrapped around her, Yukong nearly drops her pen at her meeting because Stelle was thrusting into you at an erratic pace, and Firefly…I’m pretty sure Firefly just ejaculated immediately because she didn’t expect it. (Luckily, she was somewhere alone)
By the time many of the Androids return to your home, they’re all extremely pent up, exhausted, or irritated at Stelle because Stelle decided to do more than a Round 2 with you 😭😭
#🕯️spirit box#android au#imagine feeling the phantom sensations of mind blowing pussy or tongue#throughout the day#but you are forced to carry on like usual#I’d be mad at stelle too lmfao
