Hey all!

Tumblr isn’t letting me respond to all the comments on Milas photos, so I thought I’d answer some questions quick.

Yes, Mila and her friends are available! I have both knitted and crocheted frogs available (and other creatures!

To make Mila and her friends I used the crochet toad pattern by Claire Garland of DotPebblesKnits. I also used her knit frog pattern. These patterns are on ravelry, etsy, and her website. She also has Facebook groups.

The knit frog clothes are mostly from patterns by Anne De Silva. Who has a ravelry and etsy and Facebook page.

The crochet frog clothes are by me, and more of those patterns will be on my ravelry and etsy. Those are both listed in the link tree on the to of my page.

I’m also on most platforms (Instagram, Facebook, threads (my main hang out!), Bluesky, etc as Chroniccraftywitch.

A lil about me-

I am a former archeologist with chronic health issues who maintains her sanity through creating and is trying to get by by finding people who want to adopt these curious creatures. I’ve been crocheting and knitting since I was a kid, and let’s just say that’s been a few decades.

Sometimes I write books.

I’m just horrible at promoting myself.

Death’s Head Divination is collaborating with Slow Mornings Co. to bring you a silly sticker design + ways you can support your local communities and global issues as we move forward through uncertain times 🌿

SMC’s “C(r)apitalism” slogan centers the idea that capitalism causes harm through extracting resources from both people and the planet to fuel a system that benefits only the few at the top. Survival within it is necessary while we work to divest and destroy it though. Thus we need to focus on mutual aid networks, free resources, community care and slowing down despite our common struggle.

The sticker itself represents how quickly technology becomes irrelevant under this system (who remembers Blackberries?) while contributing to pollution and exploitation. While we both recognize stickers aren’t an answer to environmentalism, they are accessible ways to support creators directly and get messages out to your communities.

Following this though, we would like to donate $1 of every sticker sale to Friends of the Congo - a 501(c)(3) advocacy organization that partners with Congolese to bring change to the DRC, where cobalt extraction for phones and computers is rampant and exploitative.

Additionally, we have launched a submission form where you can add your local community’s free and accessible resources to a growing directory for everyone to use. This could include free fridges, libraries, inclusive places of worship, food banks, shelters, businesses, online events, inclusive legal and health resources, etc. This includes within the US and globally, wherever you live.

I'm a disabled and chronically ill writer. I can't write every time i want to. I can't use a keyboard or handwrite for disability reasons. The only way i can write is by typing in the notes app on my phone. This is also painful and i can write a few hundred words at most.

Isn't it interesting how i still wouldn't consider using AI to write my stories instead? If the only way for me to write my stories is by using voice to text and i can write only a single word everyday i still wouldn't choose AI

Fuck AI and fuck you for pretending to care about disability people just so you can steal art made by disabled people

Thought it would take me months to knit this, but I underestimated the power of hyperfixation when you’re virtually housebound and work like 2 hours a day, so I made it in 15 days instead. Once it’s done blocking, I’ll have a sweater I made!! In the middle of a never ending heat wave! Yay!
