My favorite thing about Annabeth is her wardrobe.

Cause like, Rick simplifies her clothes in a way a man would, and you can tell.

Cause in EVERY book, from The Lightning Thief to Chalice, she’s in the goddamn CHB shirt. With like some shorts or cargo pants. Nothing more, nothing less.

He’s made improvements over the years, giving her some other clothes. But he’ll always come back to old faithful.

Like, he most definitely did it on accident, but he made her so Adam Sandler and I love it

personal shopper!reader who lives on commission, and your favorite call to receive is always from character. he sticks to the basics and doesn’t bat an eye at exorbitant price tags, and best of all, you can always count on your rent being covered with just one shopping trip for him. he’s a bit stiff, and you can never tell what he’s thinking, and one day he catches you off guard by requesting that you pick out women’s clothes. when you ask him what size, he just waves his hand and says “she’s about your size, so whatever you fit will do”

it turns he apparently has a girlfriend. you’re not too surprised at this fact; he’s not just rich, but he’s attractive too, and genuinely a nice man. bummer. you kind of had a tiny crush on him.

the weird part abt this new development is that he seemingly doesn’t want to answer questions abt his new girlfriend; maybe you’re pushing the boundaries by simply asking him what her preferred style is? he claims whatever you like will do, and you zip your mouth, not telling him that all women are different. whatever you pick must be fine because he never complains that his girlfriend doesn’t like it. then, one night he requests that you personally model the clothes for him. this is a first. you go along with it, and he’s sitting on his luxury couch, his button-down that he wears to work now has the top few buttons popped open, and his sleeves are rolled up. his eyes never leave your form as you model an evening gown, even as he reaches for his glass full of bourbon. you watch as his eyes drink you in, and you can’t help but focus on the way he’s downing his drink, hand clenching the glass like he’s having to hold himself back.

“buy it. all of it.” he demands, and you nod, letting out a weak, “im sure your girlfriend will love the items, sir.”

your heart skips a beat when the liquor lowers his inhibitions and forces him to reveal something very interesting. there never was a girlfriend.

there was only ever you.

Also why is it so random?? Girl that whole fit is muted colors, it's serving sad beige mom aesthetic, asylum core if you will. And then leopard print is under it...his outfits are as out of wack as he is pleeeease ✋️

The funny thing is, @apparentlybychance just sent me this info right when this message came in (insomnia comes in handy sometimes).

I wonder if Bill Cunningham was riding a Lime (joking. I know he wasn’t. He was riding a Schwinn if anyone cares).

Bill Cunningham was a highly respected photographer (one of the fashion industry’s favorites). In 2010 there was a documentary made about him. He passed away in 2016.

I haven’t seen the doc, but this comment was interesting.

He also had this to say:

“[…] fashion, ah, you know, in point of fact it's the armor to survive the reality of everyday life.”

So, I don’t know if we’re on the right track (and thank you, Jen for being equally as curious).

Maybe he’s showing us he’s working (doing chores)

Maybe it’s a nod to Louis working/stunting.

Maybe it’s a nod to Bill Cunningham.

Maybe he just really loves that jacket.
