ATEEZ San MBTI Analysis
- ISFP -
An in-depth analysis of an idol's MBTI type. Based on my opinion and observations, may change later. Not an expert.
ISFP (Fi - Se - Ni - Te)
Dom: Fi (Introverted Feeling)
A judging function that uses one's own values and belief to compare and make choices
San is incredibly Fi valued - he has a strong belief of being genuine and wants others to do the same. Fi focuses on authenticity and realness - being a highly moralistic function, it would not feel right for an Fi user to put up a front or particular image just to suit other's tastes/expecations.
His very Fi answers from Singles 2021 interview:
How I look at people
I definitely look at people based on their morality. No matter how nice of a suit they show off, It's hard for me to like them if they are rude to others. There may be achievements that can be achieved by working hard in a short period of time, but because morality cannot be made overnight, I think much more effort is needed.
Impact on the fans:
...Our fans may have received a lot of influence from us, but I hope they can all form their own values nonetheless. As much as possible, I tend to refrain from saying things that are likely to be judged as good or bad because I am worried that fans might get the wrong idea due to what I say.
Aux: Se (Extroverted Sensing)
A perceiving function that uses our 5 senses to process the external world.
San is in tune with his environment, always paying attention to others and events in the moment.
“For San, it’s movies and dramas [that inspire his performances], he takes those characters on,” explains Wooyoung. San, widely lauded for having an explosive stage presence, makes his creative choices the day of". Very Se of him to make decisions without prior planning. I've also noticed Se dom/aux type performers often have "explosive stage presence" as they're usually focused on the image and presentation of their performance.
“If there’s something I think of that I want to do that day, I share it with everyone to see if it will be okay. Then we create that image together and I simply express myself.” - i-D Magazine interview
Tert: Ni (Introverted Intuition)
A perceiving function that uses one's own personal insights and ideas.
San always had a dream of becoming a singer since he was young. Having Fi - Ni, he chose his heart and pursued his dreams. Passion drives Fi and Ni towards their visions.
Inf: Te (Extroverted Thinking)
A judging function that uses established facts and systems to make objective, working decisions.
San uses his Te to plan and pursue his goals. He always gives it his all in his career, constantly improving in his singing and performance. He loves what he does and takes the effort and steps to achieve his goals.
___
Why he's not an INFP:
Although both types are Fi dominant, their aux and tertiary functions are different. INFP has Ne-Si (Extroverted Intuition - Introverted Sensing), while ISFP uses Se-Ni. From what I've observed, San doesn't really seem to use Ne.
INFPs: IU, SF9 Hwiyoung, DAY6 Wonpil

INTJ: Logical Fairness and Equal Exchange
**I can’t pinpoint the functions one by one, else this will be too lengthy, but I’ve covered mostly the primary to tertiary functions, not much on Se.** We have… Introverted Intuition (Ni-Primary), Extraverted Thinking (Te-2ndary), Introverted Feeling (Fi-Tertiary), and Extraverted Sensing (Se-Inferior)
INTJs Perception on Fairness:
We rely on logic and intuition (or a certain inner knowing). There is this thing of fairness… and fairness to us is more logical than emotional. We can see things fairly, without it affecting our feelings, we can make choices without being attached, and we won’t see it in any way as hurtful or rude. We act fairly because we believe it to be “right”, not because a certain choice uplifts us, not because we want to appear helpful, not because of pity, and not because we want others to feel indebted to us. That’s why we find accountability and integrity--- a natural and innate concept. (if we are objectively wrong, then we're simply wrong).
And, as each person is unique(regardless of MBTI), INTJs will side on either Fairness or Manipulation (in negative). INTJs who believe in equal exchange or fairness are healthy INTJs. INTJs who explicitly manipulate have a part of them that’s underdeveloped or unhealthy, especially their feeling function.
The term of fairness and equal exchange, when applied to skills for an INTJ:
The fact is that an INTJ is JUST simply an efficient and straightforward human being; we are just good at our job and knowing things… living and getting things we want, the way we want it. We know we are capable of pushing limits, but we are not overly delusional. We have our limitations, and from time to time, we challenge those limitations, because we don’t want anything holding us back, especially our own LACK and DEFICIENCIES. We don’t want OURSELVES holding us back.
Therefore, we need SKILLS to move past these limitations. Which means valuable input and training. What better way to learn than through human interaction, human insight, and being surrounded by the right people with those skills that we want.
Reverting back to “valuable”, we believe that it is healthy for humans to be INTERdependent. Because an interdependent community is where humans thrive in support and aid, which benefits all sides. EQUAL AND FAIR GIVING AND RECEIVING. If we can get information etc., from someone, then we also believe that we can offer something valuable to that someone.
Usually, skills and training are something you pay for, and when you have access to those skills via close-knit relationships, it’s much more likely for them to reject payment. INTJs can’t have that — “like, how dare we… leach off from you?! Blatant shame on us INTJs!”–we can’t face the fact that you’ll have nothing to benefit from us.
Additionally, we believe knowledge is currency; knowledge is so valuable that it is monetized. IN THIS ECONOMY?! *deep breaths* You have to at least… want to learn a thing or two from us as well.
Humans are ever evolving, skills and knowledge open you up to opportunities, in our minds… “why not take this chance of exchange, to improve each other’s skills, so that we both gain something from it, and I won’t feel like I’ve free-loaded your personal time.”
And before anyone says, “Well, ummm actually… I’ve met snobbish and selfish INTJs”... An unhealthy INTJ, on the other hand… Yes, they will think they’re far superior and untouchable… Because they haven’t developed their Fi function. They have weak philosophies in life and personal values.
INTJs are one of the most willing people to help with anything analytical, theoretical, and intellectual etc. Of course, those don’t come for free, and you should also put something on the table that you believe can prove useful to INTJ someday. (Just don’t ask them about anything feelings-related, unless you prefer brutal truths and logical discourse regarding it. Because they are fond of internalizing and rationalizing their strong inner feelings to make sense of them.)

alienation through obsessive categorization
thots on astrology? related, thoughts on mbti?
k i like that you guys just pop in my inbox from time to time and invite me to run my mouth about topics and concepts. like truly what else is this website for.
anyway astrology (& sorry, most of what i know here pertains specifically to europe in the middle ages onward) is genuinely such a bizarro historical case of a science whose core epistemological presupposition (a geocentrist and specifically anthropocentrist cosmology) has completely fallen out of favour in both popular and professional discourse, and i don't think most people appreciate how weird it is for astrology to continue existing with this degree of popular and mainstream participation lol. like most fringe science actually bothers to have some semblence of its own reactionary epistemology to fall back on; astrology just doesn't seem to care. it would be like if the medical guilds fully endorsed the position that blood is circulated in the human body by the heart, but then also recommended as treatments for clotting disorders medical practices that only make sense on the supposition that the liver is the origin of all blood and is continuously creating more of it. like no other science that i can think of tries to have it both ways to the extent astrology does. like, one reason phrenology and eugenics are bad comparison points here is because they're very much copacetic with post-enlightenment naturalism and evolutionary transpositions in the social sciences. astrology, like, intellectually is not and yet here it is anyway. ideology innit.
anyhow i assume the reason you asked about this in conjunction with mbti is because today's astrology is largely purporting to provide psychological analysis and is therefore more similar to a system like mbti than to the historical use of star-reading as a predictive science. obviously both astrology and mbti are deeply reactionary in this respect and belong to a larger trend toward attempting to categorise, measure, and taxonomise the psyche, tho an important difference here is that mbti has hereditarian elements, which no form of astrology that i know of does. i think astrology's shift in the personal-psychological direction has to do with a few different factors, including medical astrological practice (orthodox in the european middle ages, then varying degrees of heterodox from the early modern period onward) and self-help movements in the 20th century.
but in any case it, mbti, and similar attempts at psychometry are, like, staggeringly essentialist in conception and practice, and i do think their current popularity reflects some deeply reactionary tendencies amongst people who often (not always) consider themselves otherwise progressive or leftist. it's honestly kind of worrisome how many people will jump on a project that explicitly aims to define static and immutable human 'types' as long as it's dressed in quasi-spiritual or psy-scientific terminology. like i do think we all need to pause and think about the ideological ends and consequences of how we talk about each other and our bodies, minds, and birth circumstances 😵💫
#HOWEVER#mbti if done through the cognitive function stacks as a tool for self knowledge and exploration is awesome#like i’ve learned a lot about my own cognitive processes through reflecting on other infj’s discussions of our issues#mbti#infj#and also i’ve learned why some people really annoy me even tho we both mean well and it’s often bc we have a v different approach#to the same situation and the higher level knowledge helps me deal

What We Know About Ange
(last updated 6/8/25!)
Manaka Nagao, codename Ange, is a high schooler and singer who attempted suicide, but survived, and is now recovering. She joins the team as a “Phantom Idol”, or cognitive teammate.
Her codename refers to the pseudonym she uses online when posting her songs. It's derived from the word "Angel", because her fans regard her as having the "singing voice of an angel", and her Metaverse design was mentioned to be inspired by the concept of a "reborn angel".
Her Japanese voice actress is MoeMi.
Manaka is a Confidant of Wonder’s, though exactly what the earliest point it becomes available at is unclear. Her Confidant takes place after her grandmother, Chizuko Nagao (Vino)'s side story, and focuses on her efforts to regain her mobility and get back into singing. More information about Manaka’s Confidant can be found here.
She also had a special animated promo video focused on her.
She appears briefly at the very start of the story, first walking by Wonder as he exits school, then later being seen jumping off the roof of a two-story building across the street from the train station Wonder is standing in. As Ange is a Phantom Idol, however, it seems likely that this will be the full extent of her appearance in the main story.
Manaka is shown in Chizuko's side story to have an introverted, shy personality, though she really enjoys music and singing in particular, and has no problem poking fun at her grandmother. Her desires were previously stolen by a man who was harassing and stalking her online, deriding her music mercilessly and making her scared to do anything due to his threats, but after Wonder changed his heart and he apologized, she seems to have regained some confidence.

Her Persona is Euterpe (based on the Greek muse of music), and functions as a navigator. Ange sits in the chair at the center of her Persona and sings to use her skills.
Euterpe is an Elucidation Persona, the designation used for navigators, and her trait gives her one "Hymn" at the start of each thief's turn (stacks up to 12). Also, at the start of combat, her special ability, "Song of a Thousand Sounds", can be used once. Once Wonder has taken 7 turns since its initial use, the ability will recharge one use, once per combat. Song of a Thousand Sounds dispels one negative status effect on the selected teammate, then grants them a special bonus turn which reverts them to the state they were in immediately before they took their normal turn (skill cooldowns, status effects, current health, and current SP are all included in this).
She has three support skills, which have cooldowns to use, but can be called in at will otherwise: her first support skill buffs the damage dealt by all teammates based on Ange's attack stat for two turns (then grants Ange four Hymns); second support skill heals all teammates based on Ange's attack stat and removes one negative status effect on each of them (if Ange has "Anthem", up to four levels of it will be consumed to reduce this skill's recharge time, by one turn for each level. Whenever Ange has 12 Hymns, she will consume them all to use this skill automatically, but the healing amount is reduced); her third support skill buffs the attack stat of all teammates based on Ange's attack stat, then consumes all Hymns she has and buffs their penetration and attack stats again based on how many Hymns were consumed, for two rounds.
Her passive skills buff all teammates based on Ange's stats, buff an ally's attack stat while they're in the Song of a Thousand Sounds' extra turn, and buff the penetration stat of all allies based on how many Hymns Ange currently has (stacks up to 12).
While she doesn’t strictly have a melee or ranged weapon as a navigator, P5X does have tools that the navigators use for their abilities, also obtained through the weapon gacha, and hers are microphones.
Her recommended card sets are 1) 3 of Coins (Works) + King of Cups (Hope), 2) 4 of Coins (Power) + Page of Coins (Growth).
The game has no particular recommended teams for her at the moment.

Question:
Has anybody ever forgiven aziraphale?
Like. I know it's pretty rare for aziraphale to own up to when he's done something wrong and rationalizes away his cognitive dissonance. But that behavior, while encouraged by Crowley, is out of self preservation.
With heaven there is no room to question, but there's also no room to make mistakes. Small ones are met with mockery and derision, not forgiven. Big ones? Whether it means losing his post on earth, or Crowley, or his own life, there is no second chance for aziraphale.
There's no point in apologies. Sure, he'll grovel or lie or fawn, but simply apologizing and telling the truth is just. Not an option.
He's willing to forgive heaven and Gabriel and tenants and Crowley, but cannot imagine that same kindness being extended to him. He was created in a system that reinforced the idea that he should be infinitely patient and understanding, but that he doesn't deserve the same.
And so he's constantly dealing with shame and guilt and grief and regret that stacks and stacks and hasn't had an outlet for 6000 years. Repression of those feelings is mandatory to survive the system, and remain functioning.
This of course is then perpetuated into his relationship with Crowley. He could ask for forgiveness, but he doubts it will be given, not without conditions or atonement. Why not skip to the groveling and do the silly dance? It keeps things vague, less vulnerable. There is safety in ambiguity.
He knows he can't be forgiven, but having that unambiguously confirmed, hearing Crowley tell him so directly?
He would break.

Bad Romance (College AU)
Premise: Cassie wonders if Ethan is attracted to bad girls and puts it to the ultimate test.
Fandom: Open Heart Pairing: Ethan Ramsey x F!MC (Cassie Valentine) Rating/Category: Teen. Fluff. Words: 2,140
A/N: Ever since I heard Gaga's "How Bad Do You Want Me" I wanted to write this story; I also knew it had to be during my College AU because it suited the Ethan and Cassie of that time. I would see it in my head every time the song came on -- glad I finally managed to write it.
Late submission for @choicesapril2025 prompt "new look" and to @choicesmonthlychallenge (May) Pop Prompt Palooza! prompt "a pause before the answer"
The university library was the place to be during finals week. It wasn’t exactly quiet, with the sounds of pages turning, the hum of the HVAC system and the occasional jaw-cracking yawn. But the noise was muted as students spread out across tables and study rooms, cramming whatever they could into the last few hours before exam time.
Cassie Valentine guzzled coffee as if it were going out of style, biting back a yawn. She had read the same sentence five times before her brain said, Enough!
Her last exam was in eight hours, and if she didn’t understand the cognitive function of the human brain by now, then she had just wasted four years.
Of course, there was still one brain that remained a mystery to her.
She should have been focused on finals, but it was the next four years that remained top of mind. Specifically, how she and her boyfriend would navigate their relationship once they graduated and he started medical school.
Suddenly, nothing mattered more than discussing this topic, which they had both agreed to hold off on until after finals week.
Cassie looked up from her musings to see Ethan Ramsey staring off into space, a long finger holding his place in a thick textbook on molecular biology. The glazed look in his eyes made her suspect he wasn’t focused on his studies.
Turning slightly, she followed his gaze, and froze.
A girl in ripped jeans, a leather jacket and piercings up the wazoo lounged against the stacks. Heavy makeup and smoky eyes completed the Bad Girl look—a sharp contrast to Cassie’s bare, sleep-deprived face.
A sly smile tugged at her lips. She was more amused than worried. After almost two years, she knew him; and he was way too buttoned-up for a girl like that.
Cassie cleared her throat. Ethan glanced over, blushing when he caught the knowing look in her eyes.
“What?” he asked, a touch defensively, the tips of his ears turning red.
He cleared his throat and looked away—another clear sign he was embarrassed.
“I had no idea you liked bad girls.”
He sputtered, choking on the water he’d been about to swallow.
“I— cough —don’t— cough—” He gave up, still wheezing.
Cassie walked around the table and rubbed his back until he got himself under control. Instead of returning to her seat, she leaned against the table, crossed her arms, and peered intently into his laser-blue eyes.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” he asked warily, as the silence stretched between them.
“No reason,” Cassie said with mock innocence, even as an idea sparked in her mind. If Ethan was curious about bad girls, then maybe it was time he experienced one.
Uncrossing her arms, she framed his face with her hands and pressed her lips to his, taking advantage of his confusion to deepen the kiss.
His hands found her back, pulling her down onto his lap and taking control of the kiss. Cassie broke away first.
“Tomorrow night—you, me, and lots of tequila,” she whispered against his mouth.
The next night, Ethan parked the old Camry he’d picked up for a bargain behind Cassie’s Porsche, which sat on the street outside the townhouse she shared with her brother.
Skipping up the stairs with a jaunty step, he felt both mentally and physically lighter now that finals were behind him.
In a few months, he would be in Baltimore, starting medical school at Johns Hopkins. Despite the excitement of getting into his dream school, a mild disquiet lingered at the thought of him and Cassie living in different cities for the next four years.
He rang the doorbell and stepped back, adjusting the zipper of his leather bomber jacket. He looked up at the sound of the door opening, and promptly lost the ability to speak.
Cassie stood in the doorway, looking nothing like his preppy girlfriend, one hand resting on her cocked hip.
Her blonde hair was slicked back, glossy and deliberate, like she’d stepped out of a fashion editorial in a Goth magazine. Bold red lipstick colored her lips and dark eyeliner framed her green eyes giving them a sharpness he wasn’t used to, like they could cut through excuses.
She wore a short leather jacket over a slinky green crop top that clung to her just enough to make his pulse skip. The tie-front dipped low, revealing a hint of lace and the glint of a belly button ring he definitely didn’t remember.
Distressed denim shorts hugged her hips, showing off her dancer’s legs—long, lean, and impossible to ignore. And was that a tattoo on her ankle? When did she get that and why hadn’t he noticed it before?
Ethan swallowed hard. He didn’t know what surprised him more: how different she looked… or how much he liked it.
“You look…” he paused, trying to find the words even as his mouth went dry with lust.
“Passable?” Cassie asked, a wry smile tugging at the corner of her lips.
“Un-fucking-believable!”
Just then, a town car pulled up, blocking his, and a driver stepped out.
“Perfect timing,” Cassie said, taking his hand as she closed and locked the door behind her.
“You arranged a car service?” Ethan asked, perplexed, as he followed her down the steps.
“I believe I mentioned ‘lots of tequila,’ and I meant it. College is over, and we’re living it up tonight. That means I want to get drunk with my boyfriend.”
Later, Ethan would think that if they had been in a movie, the night’s festivities would have played out like a montage on the screen.
They headed downtown, stepping out of the car beneath the glow of neon lights that painted the sidewalk in electric colors. Blues, red, greens and whites, all merging into a kaleidoscope he’d forever associate with this night.
Cassie hadn’t been kidding about the tequila. They did shots—bitter, colorful, lightheadedness-inducing shots—toasting the end of an era. As they bar-hopped, they ran into friends, which led to even more rounds.
But what he would remember most about that night was the easy laughter and carefree joy in each other’s company. How she had squealed in surprise when he hoisted her onto his back—right in the middle of the street—and spun them around, the lights blurring around them in an alcoholic haze.
At one dive, she pulled him onto the edge of a minuscule dance floor and wrapped herself around him, her hips grinding into his and making him wish—desperately—that they were already back at his apartment.
Cassie might have come out tonight as her alter ego, but inside—where it mattered—she was still the good girl he’d fallen in love with, even as he’d promised himself he wouldn’t.
A condom burned a hole in his wallet, and he wondered if this new, bad-girl version of Cassie would be open to a quickie in the dark alley outside.
He discarded the idea as quickly as it came. While she might say yes (though highly unlikely), he wasn’t sure that taking her against a brick wall in public was really him.
Ethan had a plan for his life: go to medical school, score a top-tier residency, and set the world of medicine on fire—figuratively.
In fifteen years, he would have traded his rundown, beaten-up car for a luxury sedan and transformed himself from a lower-middle-class kid with a junkie mother into a sophisticated, cultured and world-renowned doctor.
One the Valentines wouldn’t mind marrying their aristocratic daughter.
“Ow!”
Cassie’s pained cry cut through his heavy thoughts. She was doubled over, clutching her left knee—the one with the nasty scar from her ACL reconstruction surgery less than a year ago.
The healing process had been slow. She’d almost given up at one point, but lately, she’d been able to push herself physically more than she had just a few months ago. Clearly, they had overdone it tonight.
Without a second thought, he scooped her into his arms and carried her back to their booth. He set her down gently, placing her leg across his lap as he massaged the sore muscles.
“What happened?” he asked.
“As the music changed, I started to pirouette,” she said, her voice wobbling as she held back tears. “It was instinctive, you know? I extended the knee, but someone bumped into me, and it couldn’t hold.”
“Let’s go home.”
He could see the protest in her eyes, but she nodded, recognizing the need to take it easy.
Ethan led Cassie outside, keeping his arm around her. Not ready for the night to end, he instructed the driver to drop them off outside his building.
Hand in hand, they walked up the creaky stairs to his floor and the tiny studio apartment he rented. Once inside, Cassie flopped onto his bed while he grabbed a towel and some ice.
“I’m going to miss this place,” she said, looking out the single window at the moon high in the sky. “It has character, you know?”
“Never heard bad plumbing and a temperamental radiator described quite that way before.” Ethan rolled his eyes at the nostalgia in her voice. “Plus, you can’t have more than three people in here without committing a sin.”
“Here,” he said, placing the makeshift ice pack on her knee.
“This is not how I imagined our night ending,” Cassie said.
“Who said it’s over?” Ethan teased with a wink, making her laugh.
He removed his jacket, then hers, tossing both onto the armchair in the corner.
“Not that I haven’t loved every minute, but what brought this change?” he asked, gesturing to her outfit and makeup. “And when did you get a tattoo?”
“It’s a temp.” Cassie shrugged. “I wanted to test a theory. I saw the way you were looking at that girl in the library. I’ve only ever seen you look at me like that.”
“Cassie, I—” He broke off, shame and guilt rising at the memory.
He hadn’t been attracted to the other girl—not really—but he couldn’t deny she’d caught his eye. He wasn’t even sure why. Cassie, the real her, was his type. They just fit in a way he hadn’t with anyone else before.
“I’m sorry,” he said quietly. “I didn’t mean to…” He sighed. The words he wanted wouldn’t come. “I don’t know why…”
“Do you wish I was like this”—she waved a hand to indicate her outfit and hair—“all the time?”
“Yes. No.” Ethan corrected himself, then added with more conviction, “No, I don’t.”
He was grateful she didn’t react, just waited for him to continue.
“I love you. You know that, right?”
She nodded.
“Tonight was fun because I was with you, not because you were trying to be someone else—someone you thought I wanted instead of you.” He rushed to explain, feeling her patience waning.
“You’re spontaneous and romantic, and I’m not. But you make me want to be. As for that other girl… I promise, I wasn’t interested. I don’t even know why I looked. She was just there—different from what I know.”
“It’s okay to look, Ethan,” Cassie said. “I won’t lie and say I haven’t found other guys attractive. But I don’t want them. I want you.”
“I don’t want anyone else either,” he said, lacing their fingers together. “I don’t know how I’ll make it the next four years without you by my side.”
“About that… I didn’t want to say anything until it was confirmed, but I applied to Hopkins’ psych grad program. They waitlisted me since I applied late,” Cassie said, twisting her lips in disappointment.
“I’m hopeful I’ll get in. But even if I don’t, we’ll make it work, Ethan. Long weekends, holidays—whatever it takes.”
“Yeah,” he said. “We’ll make it work.”
“Take me to bed!”
“I will, but first…” He climbed off the bed and padded into the bathroom, returning with a damp washcloth.
He knelt beside her and gently wiped away the makeup, smiling as her real face slowly emerged—roses-and-cream skin, soft pink lips, and those expressive eyes he could get lost in.
“There you are,” he murmured.
Cassie shook her head, amused. “And you say you’re not romantic.”
His lips brushed hers in a whisper-soft caress. “What can I say? I must have a thing for good girls.”
She burst into laughter at the exaggerated emphasis, throwing her head back as a belly-deep laugh filled the air.
Taking advantage of the moment, Ethan pulled her into his arms and onto the bed, ready to show her just how much.
And as Cassie’s laughter faded into a sigh against his skin, Ethan knew that whatever the next four years held, they’d face it together. Whatever it takes.

My brain has been utterly shot writing wise since finishing losing ghosts, however I have been toying with a little role swap idea I'm calling Hermit Kingdoms and Empire Craft, where the concepts of Hermitcraft and Empires smp are swapped, so the Hermits have their empires and the Empires folks have a more joined together and fractionated kinda vibe rather than being entirely alone.
Since the crossover happened in season nine, that is the season I used as a base for who to use in the role swap, so it's the members of Hermitcraft Season 9 (minus one) and all the members of Empires smp season 2. Here are the first five I've cooked up ideas for, tell me what you think or if you have ideas for the others!
Hermit Kingdoms:
Cleo: Cleo’s domain is known as The Machinations. It’s located in a desert but that’s mostly irrelevant, as all action in this kingdom takes place inside of giant statues that roam around the desert. Steampunk king my beloved. Cleo’s role in this society is that of the head mechanic building the giant robots. The creatures that inhabit the giant robots are… also robots, no one tell Cleo they’re actually alone.
Pearl: Pearl’s domain is the Scorched Earth, and it’s located in the basalt delta of the nether. Stories say the former farmer was resurrected after death, and placed in a purgatory where she is unable to rest until she manages to grow her crops. Day in and day out she works tirelessly, but she cannot bring life to the barren land no matter how hard she tries to do so. Pearl refers to her role in this society as the Caretaker of the Scorched Earth.
Zed: Zed’s domain is known as The Spiral. Tucked away in a savanna biome Zed is the only occupant of this space with cognitive function. Everything inside of the spiral is topsy turvy, with mob appearances being switched around so you can never tell what you are actually hitting (could that cow have been a villager? Guess you won’t know until you eat the meat it dropped). A favorite pastime of his is trapping people in a nether portal maze that resembles M. C. Escher painting: Relativity (that's the one with all the weird and upside down stairs). Zed calls himself the Host of the Spiral.
Empire Craft:
Scott: The server's guy to go to for any kind of food, which he sells out of a Wonka-esque factory. Everything is priced the same, with two stacks costing one player head and two diamonds. Everyone asks him what the player heads are used for but he never tells. His hair turning a soft purple is also definitely a choice he made and not at all connected to the increased amount of player blood he’s consuming.
Kathrine: Oddly enough, Kathrine is the one to supply the server with anything hostile mob related, be it rotten flesh or bones to ender pearls and the dragon egg, Kathrine has it. Everyone is always searching for her farms but the truth is she doesn’t have any, she just goes out and hunts things for fun. Buckminster Fuller: Synergetics and Systems

Synergetics
Synergetics, concept introduced by Buckminster Fuller, is an interdisciplinary study of geometry, patterns, and spatial relationships that provides a method and a philosophy for understanding and solving complex problems. The term “synergetics” comes from the Greek word “synergos,” meaning “working together.” Fuller’s synergetics is a system of thinking that seeks to understand the cooperative interactions among parts of a whole, leading to outcomes that are unpredicted by the behavior of the parts when studied in isolation.
Fuller’s understanding of systems relied upon the concept of synergy. With the emergence of unpredicted system behaviors by the behaviors of the system’s components, this perspective invites us to transcend the limitations of our immediate perception and to perceive larger systems, and to delve deeper to see relevant systems within the situation. It beckons us to ‘tune-in’ to the appropriate systems as we bring our awareness to a particular challenge or situation.
He perceived the Universe as an intricate construct of systems. He proposed that everything, from our thoughts to the cosmos, is a system. This perspective, now a cornerstone of modern thinking, suggests that the geometry of systems and their models are the keys to deciphering the behaviors and interactions we witness in the Universe.
In his “Synergetics: Explorations in the Geometry of Thinking” Fuller presents a profound exploration of geometric thinking, offering readers a transformative journey through a four-dimensional Universe. Fuller’s work combines geometric logic with metaphors drawn from human experience, resulting in a framework that elucidates concepts such as entropy, Einstein’s relativity equations, and the meaning of existence. Within this paradigm, abstract notions become lucid, understandable, and immediately engaging, propelling readers to delve into the depths of profound philosophical inquiry.
Fuller’s framework revolves around the principle of synergetics, which emphasizes the interconnectedness and harmony of geometric relationships. Drawing inspiration from nature, he illustrates that balance and equilibrium are akin to a stack of closely packed oranges in a grocery store, highlighting the delicate equilibrium present in the Universe. By intertwining concepts from visual geometry and technical design, Fuller’s work demonstrates his expertise in spatial understanding and mathematical prowess. The book challenges readers to expand their perspectives and grasp the intricate interplay between shapes, mathematics, and the dimensions of the human mind.
At its core, “Synergetics” presents a philosophical inquiry into the nature of existence and the human thought process. Fuller’s use of neologisms and expansive, thought-provoking ideas sparks profound contemplation. While some may find the book challenging due to its complexity, it is a testament to Fuller’s intellectual prowess and his ability to offer unique insights into the fundamental workings of the Universe, pushing the boundaries of human knowledge and transforming the fields of design, mathematics, and philosophy .
When applied to cognitive science, the concept of synergetics offers a holistic approach to understanding the human mind. It suggests that cognitive processes, rather than being separate functions, are interconnected parts of a whole system that work together synergistically. This perspective aligns with recent developments in cognitive science that view cognition as a complex, dynamic system. It suggests that our cognitive abilities emerge from the interaction of numerous mental processes, much like the complex patterns that emerge in physical and biological systems studied under synergetics.
In this context, geometry serves as a language to describe this cognitive architecture. Just as the geometric patterns in synergetic structures reveal the underlying principles of organization, the ‘geometric’ arrangement of cognitive processes could potentially reveal the principles that govern our cognitive abilities. This perspective extends Fuller’s belief in the power of geometry as a tool for understanding complex systems, from the physical structures he designed to the very architecture of our minds. It suggests that by studying the ‘geometry’ of cognition, we might gain insights into the principles of cognitive organization and the nature of human intelligence.

Systems
Fuller’s philosophy underscored that systems are distinct entities, each with a unique shape that sets them apart from their surroundings. He envisioned each system as a tetrahedron, a geometric form with an inside and an outside, connected by a minimum of four corners or nodes. These nodes, connected by what Fuller referred to as relations, serve as the sinews that hold the system together. These relations could manifest as flows, forces, or fields. Fuller’s philosophy also emphasized that systems are not isolated entities. At their boundaries, every node is linked to its surroundings, and all system corners are ‘leaky’, either brimming with extra energy or in need of energy.
Fuller attributed the properties and characteristics of systems to what he called generalized principles. These are laws of the Universe that hold true everywhere and at all times. For instance, everything we perceive is a specific configuration of energy or material, and the form of this configuration is determined by these universal principles.
Fuller’s philosophy also encompassed the idea that every situation is a dance of interacting systems. He encouraged us to explore the ways in which systems interact within and with each other. He saw each of us as part of the cosmic dance, continually coupling with other systems. This coupling could be as loose as the atoms of air in a room, or as flexible as molecules of water flowing.
We find that precession is completely regenerative one brings out the other. So I gave you the dropping the stone in the water, and the wave went out that way. And this way beget that way. And that way beget that way. And that’s why your circular wave emanates. Once you begin to get into “precession” you find yourself understanding phenomena that you’ve seen a stone falling in the water all of your life, and have never really known why the wave does just what it does.
Fuller’s concept of precession, or systems coupling, is a testament to his deep understanding of systems and their interactions. He described how we sometimes orbit a system, such as a political movement or an artistic method. Our orbit remains stable when the force that attracts us is dynamically balanced by the force that propels us away. This understanding of precession allows us to comprehend phenomena that we have observed all our lives, yet never truly understood why they behave as they do. Fuller’s teachings on systems and their inherent geometry continue to illuminate our understanding of the Universe and our place within it.

Does this say anything about his type or am I overthinking?

He said this again after three years... and some other things he says makes me wonder if he could be one of these certain types but I'm not sure if I'm actually spotting his cognitive functions or stereotyping them and I know nothing about my boy... please help :')
it does!!!
he's using his Je function (Fe or Te). Je naturally cares about societal expectations and how society perceives you. ofc Fe and Te do it slightly differently and for slight different reasons but he's not showing one of them specifically, so i'm not diving into it.
that doesn't mean he specifically prefers his Je over his Ji, tho. high Ji users (that use Fi and Ti), contrary to stereotypes, can and will care about societal expectations at some points through their lives. that can be bc their Je is tertiary (ExxP types) or bc they are looping (unhealthy ExxPs) or gripping (unhealthy IxxPs). or they just randomly used it for some reason, which is normal.
you have to see if this is smth natural to him, like it's a part of his personality to prefer adjusting to the public. if it is, he might prefer Je.
if he only shows that part of him bc of stress and when relaxed he seems to do the opposite, he might be a stressed Ji user using Je unhealthily.
these screenshots don't really specify which case is his bc both can be true. a Je user might believe crying in front of fans (i assume he is in a concert) is smth bad bc he might be seen as weak, unrealiable emotionally, not man enough, imperfect, whatever reason he thought it would seem like.
maybe he believes his fans will feel like they can't count on him bc he is not the idea of singer they had (perfect human who is always confident and never suffers so they don't need to worry about him and see his as a rolemodel.)
Je wants people to perceive them in a certain way, but Ji users don't really care on that unless they're stressed. Ji users believe each people will perceive them in a different manner no matter what they do so "portraying" is useless (and might believe Je users are fake bc of that as well). bc of that they always show their "rawness" most of the time. they don't filter their feelings and thoughts.
however, when stressed or pressured, they will force themselves to use their Je. bc it is lower in their stack, they might use it in a immature or unhealthy manner. it seems "unnatural" of them.
anyway, look out for these signs on him and you might find out which types he could possibly be.
edit: some people might also mistake this for Se. Se users focus especifically on aestheticism for themselves (Ji, which Se might boost of be boosted for bc they're side-by-side in the stack.) it is a perceiving function so it's irrational, it doesn't care about society's judgement of them (Je), only what is cool/sexy/cute/whatever in their view (Se+Ji or Ji+Se.)
HOWEVER, Je doms who use Se as their tertiary function MIGHT USE IT to boost their Je. they could use Se's sense of "what's cool" to help Je portray the image they want people to have on them.
(auxiliary Je types who use inferior Se can also do it but they probably won't. they will probably use their dominant Ni to do it. but you never know, yk?)
anyway don't get it confused lmao.
OK NOW I'M DONE
#look at camila gooooo she's typing people#don't worry you're doing ok (by now)#this is exactly the type of thing you should be looking for (idk how to explain)#(but yk what i mean)#tio morcego tá tagarela#ty for the ask!!!! i LOVE to ramble about mbti#glad if i could help you :) i know this is important to you and you're having a difficult time with it so hit me up anytime you need help#don't be shy :) i love helping with things i love

Quick Analysis: Hitostat Cognitive Functions Test
I saw this cognitive functions test by Hitostat getting a lot of flack for its inaccuracy on the r/MBTI Reddit, so I thought I'd give it a go to see what came of it.

I would say that the top results Ti-Ne definitely point pretty accurately towards being an INTP, so I don't think it's terrible, by any means.
Obviously INTPs don't usually have Fi in their tradtional conscious cognitive function stack, so that's a little odd, especially considering that I don't really identify much with Fi in general, nor did I get the feeling that I was even answering with strong Fi during what would have been the relevant questions, but oh well.
I've noticed this in lots of other tests in the past where you'll usually score high on another function not in your traditional function stack, often times as an artifact of the test design. Most of the time, I score high on Ti, Ne, and Ni, so I was surprised to see the difference with this test. Still, if I were to test high on an unusual function, I WOULD expect it to be an introverted one because it aligns more with being an INTP, than scoring high on an extra function and having it be an extraverted one.
TLDR;
Not a bad test. Some common artifacts in final results, questions could be a little generic / obvious in their wording sometimes. Still gave accurate ENOUGH results to identify my type, if you know enough about MBTI to interpret the results yourself. Not an exceptional test, but doesn't deserve the hate it's gotten, in my opinion.

Penelope & Colin Bridgerton: The Exploration of a Relationship Between an ENFP & INFP

I did Kate and Anthony long ago, before season 3 came out, and now a lot of you wanted Penelope and Colin (plus it won a poll). Not going to lie, this was a little bit different, because ENFP & INFP have the same cognitive functions, and are more similar in function order, as opposed to an INTJ & ESFP, but it was fun nonetheless!
Two Fi & Ne users

Since the beginning of the show, it is established that Penelope and Colin have very much in common. Colin writes to Penelope regularly, while Penelope is implied to be one of the few people who genuinely understands him, and the only one interested enough to give a response.
Even before the audience sees Colin’s attraction towards Penelope, we see them regularly engage with each other, Colin specifically seeking Penelope out at social gatherings and Penelope always happy to engage in conversations with him.
Colin, as a Ne user, is the only one who understands the ideas that Penelope has, that others, especially her own family find bizarre, and Penelope, as an Fi user, is able to listen to, and understand Colin’s emotions in ways others might be unable to.
Dominant Fi, Auxiliary Ne vs. Dominant Ne, Auxiliary Fi

Both Penelope and Colin have Ne & Fi, which gives them a lot of common ground, but the order of their stack also affects their relationship and helps to convey their differences.
Penelope is an Fi dom, so her emotions are more so a driving factor towards her decisions than her Ne. Colin is an Ne dom, so his ideas and his exploration of possibilities drives his decisions more than his Fi.
Penelope’s ideas and dreams exist to support her emotions, while Colin’s emotions exist to support his ideas and dreams. This is why Colin is eager to put his dreams into action by traveling the world, while Penelope writes to make sense of herself and her feelings.
However, because of this, both characters are able to push their auxiliary functions to light more. Penelope is able to allow Colin to reflect more on his emotions, and is able to call out when she feels he is pushing them away to create a persona. Colin is able to become a source for her ideas and fantasies by both writing her letters and becoming close to her.
In Conclusion

I think what works so well with their relationship, is that they are so similar, which is reflective with the cognitive functions they have. This is similar to Anthony and Kate, who are also pretty similar as far as typings go (though, in their case, they had the same dominant function and different auxiliary functions).

What happens if you combine parkour, marksmanship, and martial arts?
A mediocre Jason Bourne knockoff?
As a sport, parkour looks really good on screen, but is extremely demanding of your time, and inflicts a high physical toll on the practitioner. At least, that's true of free-running parkour, parkour in contained environments can be considerably safer, but will still put a lot of strain on the body. Either way, this is a sport that will really come back and bite you in your 40s.
Practical martial arts will require a significant time commitment, and actually using it inflicts a high physical toll on the practitioner. Recreational martial arts will have less of a physical impact, but you can't win fights on four Jujitsu classes a month. Stop me if you've heard this one before, but for a serious martial artist, you're going to really feel the consequences of that in your 30s and 40s.
Stacking serious martial arts with serious parkour means your character wouldn't have a personal life of any kind, and might not be getting enough sleep on a regular basis, which further stacks against their ability to function. On a long enough timescale, that lack of sleep might even lead into cognitive impairment, and impaired healing. You really do not want to be running on a sleep debt for any significant amount of time, (even if it is an incredibly common behavior.)
So, you have physical strain and microdamage from parkour, you add the physical strain and microdamage from martial arts, clearly the best solution is to add something that requires delicate precision. Marksmanship requires a very steady hand, and while training in parkour or martial arts doesn't mean your character couldn't use a gun, it would negatively impact their precision marksmanship. In most cases, this would be pretty negligible, but if you're talking about long range precision, this a bad situation. For, basically, the same reasons you don't want your surgeon to participate in a fight club on the weekends. The almost imperceptible damage incurred from parkour and martial arts would start showing up in their long range precision well before they'd become consciously aware of it themselves.
So, what do you get? Budget Jason Statham.
To be clear, the entire action hero genre is just as unrealistic as superheroes. This is pretty solidly in the realm of, “unpowered,” superheroes, like Batman, The Punisher, or Doc Savage. No, they're not realistic, but that's not the point. If you want to use them, adjust your expectations and tone accordingly, and you should be fine.
Otherwise, you basically get the vast majority of modern action heroes, and more than half of Jackie Chan's filmography.

hirano typology analysis <3

okay, everyone! let's start off from this page first thing first.

as you can see he's typed estj 1w2 but let's go further in this:
estjs are te-fi si-ne axis based which means his te and his si need fi and ne to function (this axis is applied for ti-fe se-ni as well and goes both ways).
(for anyone who doesn't know how this works: cognitive function in a stack of 8 make a type AND it's shadow type (your "opposite" type) as you can see in the screenshot up there functions are set this way: introvert > extr. > intr > extr. OR extr. > intr. > extr. > intr.)
let's start with his dom-aux stack
honestly, i believe he's an estj as well so im going to stick with this typing.
his dominant function is Te, i think this guy has an unbearable amount of Te here 😭
up to now I've noticed he is:
- rational
- more in his head than his heart
- pragmatic
- focused on efficiency
- very responsible
- direct (says what he thinks in your face even if it might hurt you (for ex. like when he rejected kagi for the first time)
as for his Si, which is high as well, this is what I've noticed:
- respects traditions (doesn't mean he supports them but he has nothing against them)
- sense of duty and responsibility
- he needs structure and order
- he's loyal
- resistant to major changes
- stubborn
- tidy
actually about his dominant function (between Te and Si) i have something to say about his Fi in the tert-inf stack. i think he uses much more Fi than Ne so I'd move it to tert. position and put Ne in inf. that'd make him an istj tho. in the latest chapter we can see how he thinks it's "right" not to stop Kagi from moving on but it's not an action of pure morality since sensei's shown us his whole reasonment. we can see that it's more of a "rational morality" which in a in a typology aspect is clearly Te and Fi working together. Still, i think both an istj and estj typing are correct since there's only a difference in the functions positions (estj: Te-Si-Ne-Fi istj: Si-Te-Fi-Ne).
okay now comes my fav part of typology!
enneagram, tritype and instinctual variants!
im gonna note them here so I don't have to scroll up over and over again.
enneagram: 1w2
tritype: 152
instinctual variants: so/sp
alright, so. I'd make some changes here.
first thing, his enneagram. i think e1 is correct for him since e1 is a perfectionist who thinks they have some kind of mission, they're usually systematic and responsible (in his case his self-given mission could be helping kagi with his studies for ex.) while for his w2, i honestly don't know because e2s help others out of a personal gain (to feel better about themselves) which I don't think is hirano's case because he genuinely helps others even if he doesn't get anything in return. he could be a 1w9 in my opinion. type 9s look for harmony and peace and fear having their harmony shaken/broken which could be related to his change avoidance? i think it's surely better than 1w2 (since type 2s are subconsciously selfish and he isn't selfish at all).
tritype: i think it's correct, although I wouldn't type him an e5 since he's not shown us he likes to collect knowledge "just because"
instinctual variants: I don't think so/sp is accurate, he's probably an sx/so. from my point of view it's like he values his close relationships more, by this i mean it's like he's completely comfortable with only one person (which is kagi) and I wouldn't change the social typing
we reached the end of my analysis!
it's probably confusing since my thought process is very messy to begin with, I'm sorry if it seems like that 😭

Can we assign certain cognitive functions to a song? Like can certain lyrics have a certain cognitive narrrative? I've been seeing people type songs of the Internet & I'm not sure If that's possible. Or are the songs usually typed through the writing style of the artist? thank you.
I'm not going to speak to what you see people do on the internet. I can only speak from how I personally process music. To me, every song has its own specific "mood" or "attitude", and it can be distinguished from the artist/composer.
Art is often a means to process experiences, and all your experiences are colored by your functional stack. If you're sensitive to such things, I think you can get a feel for the function "lens" that's being used to approach the subject matter of the song. For example, if the song is about rehashing or relitigating a past event, you can say things like, "This song feels very Si" or "This song has strong Si vibes".
This doesn't necessarily mean the artist is Si type, right? It's just what this particular song is about. After all, everyone gets haunted by a past event at some point in life. But if you examine the artist's work over several years and notice many of their songs have that similar vibe, then you can entertain the possibility of them being Si type.
