Funny

great instrumentation. (best unintentional nu metal and metalcore I’ve heard)

cons -

lacks originality outside of game grumps, while the instrumentals are great, they don't seem to fit certain vibes. I get it its a fan remix album but maybe ask them to join in if possible next time.

too polished. mixes can be quiet and dynamics arent as present. impressive from a indie release though.

comedy of the album has really similar moments and jokes, for gods sakes there are three dick jokes in a row too much fucking dick jokes. jesus christ I can’t show this to young kids or some of my friends who hate swearing. So I’d like to see clean versions.

No way to support outside of soundcloud and streaming. People Don’t always have great internet so a future bandcamp release would be great.

sbassbear (ffo; current era game grumps, psychostick, 70′s disco/funk) and is a duo known for remixes, comedy music, and funk/sometimes metalcore and modern metal/numetal/pop punk duo from Boston ma. They are know mostly for comedy videos on YouTube and remixes and comedy music obviously and over the 6 years they also have two albums jet packs and sammiches, cry me a river and another game grumps lofi beats ep, aptly named LoFi Beats. Today I listened to their First volumes of game grumps remixes. I’m not one for most comedy albums per say. I usually hate most works besides the one of meme rappers, psychostick, weird al, the gentlemen, and like maybe super mega and ninja sex party. So while I’d like to be always excited on these remixes, I don’t really like actively listening to them. So I was while sorta not expecting much I was sorta surprised by the level of effort. the mixes while kinda over polished are really nice for what seems to be a bedroom rock band. while I love a lot of songs a lot of them could be really cut since they aren't fully fleshed out or musical, Skwyard Sword for example is literally, those ____ but set to instruments to drums videos. That is fine but it seems like the ratio for those compared to actual tracks seems a lot to much. I get that's the joke but I don't know why the album isn't really structured in any way. if anything it seems like a really quick thing. I’m doing this review only after the remixes releasing 4 weeks after the game grumps reacted to some of them. While I know it comes from a good place, I think these could be structured in a better way. otherwise I still love a bulk of these tracks. diddle kid and video game boy being great metalcore and numetal jams, 38 degrees and fucking funk jam is great. more of the these would be great. all in all this is a great remix ep its just bloated and is only really gonna appeal to gg fans such as me.
