My two favourite FAVOURITE Gil Galad theories are Gil Galad son of No-one Really and Gil Galad son of Everyone Kind Of?

Like I adore the idea that someone who by blood is no-one, parents were random noldo or sinda soldiers, doesn't even know who his parents are, that this strange elf becomes one of the best Kings of the Noldor and the only one to rule mostly in peace since finwe. That this person who was not Finwe's heir is the one to inherit his mantle in its truest form.

But also... what if he's everyone's son?

I have seen this done both as weird magic stuff and also as the worlds most complicated polycule and the kid that resulted. But i prefer the Hot Potato Origin: That in his life Gil Galad has been passed through so many of the Noldorin and Sindarin Lords and been adopted so many times that no one is sure at this point who actually contributed genetically.

Post rebirth there's a tally system of whose traits he shows the most of out of the finweans (concerningly, Argon is currently in the lead) and no one wants to ask him directly because if They are one of the parents it would be horrendously embarrassing to not Know That. This also means that most of them have adopted a sort of parental attitude towards him even if they're fairly certain that they aren't related.

Some of them have become full conspiracy theorists about it (Fingon: what if I DID have a wife and i just FORGOT because of head trauma?? Galadriel: subtly interrogating all her siblings to build a full timeline of their entire lives in Beleriand) others are throwing fuel on the fire for their own amusement (Nerdanel: actually he's our Secret 8th Son, we sent him on later, that's why he has freckles. Elrond: he's actually Elros, we were lying for fun, ignore that we dont look at all alike.) Some of them have just kind of shrugged and acknowledged that they are a possible candidate and moved on (Caranthir: if Haleth had a child she Absolutely would not have told me and she's clever enough to have organised this, the timeline works out. Aredhel: unfortunately large chunks of my time in nan elmoth are fuzzy and i would not put it past Eol to rid himself of any "unsuitable" children.) Finrod and Maedhros have remained So silent on the issue that others are Sure they Know something (the pestering results in Both of them suddenly claiming to be his parents: Finrod is his father, Maedhros his mother Actually. The charade of being star crossed lovers is convincing enough that people start doubting their real marriages.)

Gil Galad is honestly completely uninvested in this and is just glad that they're bickering between themselves instead of questioning him constantly. Besides he has lunch with his birth parents every Wednesday; if they wanted to stop the rumours they would.

Anne’s meant to be Engineer’s mom. She n Fred have been married for quite a few decades, and still going strong! They’re like if a polite southern couple knew how to set up a heat seeking missile to shoot at you if they didn’t appreciate your table manners.

I dont think she ever interacted with Radigan that much. They’re both people of very few words, and had different work ethics that they definitely would’ve butted heads about if they ever did talk. As it was, they were probably friendly, but not particularly close.

Anne’s pretty. Simple. When it comes to her work. She finds the fancy, over-complicated stuff her husband’s side of the family (And Dell, as he got older) got into pretty… well… fancy, and over-complicated. She makes things because she likes when problems have solutions, never been a huge fan of the real ego her boys can get when they're out playing god or something. But, their business is their business and hers is hers.

There are little to no chores Ophianne enjoys doing around a house, it's certainly part of why she's yet to settle down in any specific place. Having a home means dusting and dishes and keeping a carpet clean. It means folding clothes and making a bed. It all feels like something she hates. It all feels like obligation.

The only thing she enjoys doing that could be considered a chore is cooking. Were she ever to settle down, she would have a massive kitchen and a big table to feed her family from. But for now Q'ihnn's kitchen works well enough. Especially while her daughter is still in an entire other world of existence from her.

Taking care of Ryne was the closest she ever came to considering chores and obligations as something she was willing to do.

i wont lie sometimes its a little crazy to see people shove bardroy aside to assign sebastian the role of Dad™ cuz as much as i like dadbastian (with seb being just terrible and weird in the role lmao) i think its strange to put bardroy into the 'weird uncle' role

on top of it being a very nuclear family set up (with ppl assigning mei rin the role of mom/aunt and snake being someones child along with bards role for some reason??) its just kind of forgetting that like,,, he's the only one aside from tanaka who ACTUALLY has experience raising children and was actually a father

I just had a prediction.

Aimsey and Guqqie's investigation will eventually end with someone (maybe the last pirate left) finally discovering that they were lovers after a long period of debate and denial.

If the discovery happens in a person's final moments, there will be one line. Something like "oh. they were in love."

(this might also tie in to Owen's comment in his intro where he mentioned that the trope "history hates lovers" applies to this world of pirates as well. Maybe if Owen's the one to figure this out (as a Heron no less) he will relate their story to his backstory)

Also I should probably say that I am now rooting for Olivesleepy. I barely followed Rats and I knew nothing about Olive before this but now I want them to be the one to avenge. Even if they die trying, I will be satisfied.

I just found a section on my new job's scheduling app (who knew such a thing existed!) where I can set my preferred availability!? They didn't tell me about that! So I set it up so I'm unavailable/prefer not to work every other weekend. Along with the Tuesdays and Thursdays I cannot work. This way I can pick up a shift those weekends if I want to but I could avoid working every single weekend AND it leaves my WWII reenactment weekends available and I'd only need to put in time off requests for the fridays before. I HOPE THIS WORKS AND THAT I DID IT RIGHT AND IT WON'T UPSET MY NEW BOSSES! I'm still gonna work weekends just hopefully every other one and not every single one.

'There's a reason why HRS never lets you try to bond unfixed rabbits, because they'd either breed or kill each other' yeah no fucking shit sherlock, if I put two stallions in one ring there's a high chance they'd beat the shit out of each other, and if I put a stallion in with a mare, he'd probably try to mount her, resulting in either a pregnant mare or a pissed mare if she wasn't receptive. That isn't proof they aren't social, that's when you put stallions in a pen across from other horses, or put them in with geldings, or bond geldings to geldings so that the horse doesn't turn into a nervous wreck with behavioral issues from isolation. This shit isn't rocket science and doesn't make people stressing the importance of establishing social bonds for the animal's welfare wrong to do so, its a fucking situational thing and 9/10 a social prey animal will benefit far more from having a companion than going without
