I would love to know the statistic of how many times they say fuck by season
ok now that episode 50 is out and has a transcript i can finally do this. behold the fruits of my labor (i think)
Tumblr media
season 3 being the highest despite being on the shorter end episode-wise does not surprise me because nobody was having a good time but season 5 is. weirdly low?? maybe because they didn't have any big fights after the first episode so most of the swearing was incidental at the situation.
hang on i actually went over the individual episodes to verify that number against what grep spit out and i've actually learned something funnier, which is that episodes 41 and 42 have 37/25 instances of "fuck" each and then after that it's largely single digits?? arthur getting composted fixed their language??

i should be Doing Tasks instead of sitting here waxing poetic about math but i do think graphs (the discrete math kind) (not this kind 📊📈📉) are the most elegant and beautiful mathematical object

I hate being the cliché of "can do computer science/maths but can't go to appointments because there are too many people and unknown factors" but it is true for me.
Maybe I should look a bit more into autism.

The difference between Big Sciences and Little Sciences is so funny to me. I'm taking chemistry and physics at the same time, and I'm an astronomy major, and so far it's been:
biology, chemistry, computer science, etc. : if you're even 0.00001 off from the CORRECT answer then it's WRONG
physics and astronomy: hmm...yeah that looks like enough 0s on the end. you've got enough numbers. that's close enough, who gives a shit

Gradient Graphs, no. 38
This post features art created by running azurepolarbear's original “Gradient Graphs” generative code art algorithm. Each run of the code produces a random visual output. Random points are generated on the canvas and assigned a color. Those points are connected by lines and circles that have a gradient from one point color to the other. The connected points will form either a gabriel graph or a random geometric graph, which both have roots in graph theory.

Figure 8: First four measures from J. S. Bach's Chorale 73 ('Herr Jesus Christ, du höchstes Gut') as a traditional score and as 'piano-roll' (without durations) with quadrangles illustrating synchronous notes (the two parallel vertical sides of each quadrangle indicate synchronous note onsets).

i’m definitely going very deeply down rabbit holes this week
this morning i saw a math thing and spent a couple hours trying to solve a complex equation and relearning a bunch of stuff i forgot from college to do that
and then i had this idea of something i wanted to figure out about complex numbers and while looking that up had a thought about chemistry and started looking up properties of certain substances and then wrote up a little thing about that
then I went back to the complex number thing and after a couple more hours got back to the point of it and proved that in fact i had found a much harder way to do multiplication
and then i had therapy and afterwards i went to do an exercise for therapy and ended up having a thought about human vision and looked something up and a couple hours later had an 1,100 word write up with some citations, describing how to take advantage of the way human photoreceptors work to improve your night vision when you get out of bed at night (tl;dr use completely red light if you need to turn one on)
and then i came downstairs to have dinner but thinking about food made me think about my weight and so i started thinking about body fat distribution changes from HRT and came up with an interesting math problem based on that, so I was trying to work through that but i needed a whiteboard
so i went upstairs to the whiteboard and started working on that and after a couple hours i realized i’d missed an obvious thing that meant honestly all of the stuff that mattered to the problem was negligible compared to the effect of a separate variable i didn’t think to include so that was mostly a waste of time
and then i came downstairs to make dinner but i’m very tired from standing at the whiteboard so i’m just laying down for a bit first

A lot of Batfamily fans like fan content which dives into the trauma of some of them being siblings with people that have tried to kill them. While they aren't wrong, I would posit that they need more fan content which addresses the real issue here: the Batkids should absolutely make fun of those of them that failed at murdering one (or more) of the others.
I'm just saying, if my sibling failed at killing me or another relative, I would mock them about that until one of us died for real. I would give them birthday cards talking about how they truly put the 'attempted' in 'attempted fratricide'. I would ask them if they remembered their cringefail murder skills. I would bring that up at the slightest provocation. Anytime they got annoyed at me for something, I would be like, "What are you going to do, kill me? It's not like you're any good at it!"
