question for those more knowledgeable than me, because i'm still very new to things in terms of going past just the music and getting somewhat into the community (with caution, music communities scare me a bit lmao):

is buck-tick visual kei or not? i saw a video classifying them as goth and everyone in the comments corrected the poster and said they were vkei, but another fan stated that "the band doesn't want to be called vkei, so they're not, plus they're more gothic instead" - but even basic surface-level research says that they were a huge founder for the movement (they're specifically stated as major influences in the kurofuku kei subgenre in particular if i recall? and vk.gy also classifies them under soft kei and okeshou kei). not to mention another commenter chimed in and said "buck-tick isn't even goth, they don't like to label themselves with genres" or something along those lines.

but of course, on the other hand, i directly looked up any specific statements of them wishing not to be called vkei and all i could find was a reddit thread with a screenshot from an article that says toll specifically takes out their cds from the vkei section due to wishing not to be labeled. but that's a single source compared to multiple others that call b-t visual kei.

i'm confused is all, it doesn't really matter to me if they are or aren't, but if it isn't the case that they are, i do certainly feel stupid for calling them vkei for the past five years lmao (on top of the fact that they were my introduction to vkei as a whole)

is this a circumstance similar to korn not calling themselves nu metal/my chemical romance not calling themselves emo (despite the communities saying otherwise) or what? i don't want to be a jerk about mislabeling the band despite their wishes or anything. plus i'm just curious and want to ask more questions about things i want to know more about and have a nice discussion that doesn't end in fighting lmao

So I've seen some posts about body neutrality and I think it's a great way to look at human bodies but some of the posts are. Not sure how to put it but some posts just make me feel really weird about what the op meant.

"Some people are ugly and that's okay" I feel like this just circles back to calling people ugly and being negative about something. It's the opposite of calling someone pretty.

Just like beauty, ugliness is subjective.

Okay I haven't talked about Judas OR the Judas album in a while so I'm going to share this analysis I finally placed and I'm losing my mind about

In the song Field of Blood (song 5,) the chorus ends with a line I've never quite been able to find a suitable conclusion about. Right. (Putting my rambling under a read more, the screenshots make this long)

Oh, okay, "what is my god," he's having a crisis of faith. Why is God so cruel as to order Jesus be killed (reminder that the album is a mix of biblical and Gnostic canon, where Jesus asked Judas to be the one to betray him.)

If we move two tracks ahead in the album to Death is Just a Kiss Away, right before the last chorus we have these lines:

Which is insane! Because this part is actually saying "you have two gods, God and Jesus" (sun and moon, as I'll get to) "and no matter which you choose" (obeying the kill command or refusing to kill Jesus) "you're going to piss everyone off"! Okay now I know, "but where did you get sun and moon/God and Jesus" and HERE I TELL YOU:

Jesus is CONSTANTLY referred to with constellation imagery! (There's a whole song about it!) The Gospel of Judas includes the quotes (from Jesus) "Judas, your star has led you astray" and "the star that leads the way is your star." The album takes this and RUNS with it. Makes Jesus Judas's guiding star. There is SO MUCH night/star symbolism going on here, mostly in Constellation, but also from A World Where we Belong:

SO BASICALLY: considering that Jesus is heavily referred to with night sky imagery and they're literally both referred to as "two moons aligned," it isn't unreasonable to conclude that the line from Just a Kiss Away is in fact talking about God/Jesus. WHICH MEANS

When Judas is about to hang himself and he pleadingly asks "what is my god?"

I'm still open to Simpsons character requests in general, and also of course very much welcome asks about my OCs, but as for limitations...

I'd just say to keep it simple enough (so avoid complex, specific scenarios or requests with a lot of characters interacting), and also to not send too many requests at once (it's overwhelming to me, and usually good etiquette to wait for the person to have finished the previous req before asking for more :] /lh)

Beyond that I trust people's good sense when it comes to not requesting things that could make a stranger uncomfy, but either way my asks and DMs are always open in case of any doubt!! ♥
