Burnt Cook Book Party is a Pathfinder actual play podcast, where four heroes of varying skills, attractiveness, and stupidity race against time to prevent a war… and to prevent a time loop from resetting the entire game!
Join himbo resort-spa paladin Janni Brightchild, dry-witted battle chef Zelf, fey-addled oracle Astra Blep, and ratfolk-for-the-people Patty Hurts as they attempt to uncover what’s causing the time loop and put a stop to it – while preventing the rest of the party from learning their own dark past, by any means necessary.
If you’ve ever wondered how bad a dinner party can go, or what the best cut of meat on an eleflute is, Burnt Cook Book Party is the game for you.

Got the Sonic cookbook for Christmas (thanks Dad! ♥️) and decided to try making this for the Georgia game today.
I only had 1 sheet of puff pastry dough, but I was able to cut 30 decent rectangles out of it. It also came rolled up in baking parchment so that made the prep part of the recipe a lot cleaner and easier.
After you cut the rectangles, DO NOT STACK THEM like my stupid self did because they will STICK TO EACH OTHER. If you have other hands to help out, you can set up an assembly line getting these little suckers cut and wrapped and save some time.
Aside from that they behaved rather well. I ended up with 6 leftover cocktail weiners (lil' smokies, according to the packaging) so 36 mini dogs isn't too much of a long shot for this recipe.
I measured a half teaspoon of coursely ground salt, but I might have done better just grinding the salt over the dogs. I also ground the onion flakes down using a mortar since they were kinda big.
For this recipe, I opted out of putting the chili cheese dip in the center. Since it was just going to be 2 of us, I organized a different plating setup instead.
30 minutes in the oven. This got the little dogs sizzling. :D
Gave them a few minutes to cool, then I split them 15 to 2 flat bowls with a ramekin of chili sauce in the middle. (Didn't have time to fix chili per the provided recipe, so I just went with a personal fave canned brand. Sorry, Sonic!) They were really warm at first, but as they cooled down they were easier to eat.
Turned out pretty friggin' good! Someday I'll find all 5 peppers for the chili recipe, and I'll try a full version then.

Redanian Fish Soup
Gossip is known to fly like the wind. Yet it passes even more swiftly along Oxenfurt's thoroughfares. In one instance, there were rumors of a vampire roaming the city streets. Folk wisdom on one's best defense against a bloodsucker has long been passed down by word of mouth. Debates continue over the relative merits of a stake through the heart versus a swift blow with a wagon axle to the demon's head. Oxenfurt's chefs proved particularly ingenious at one point when they opted to take matters into their own skilled hands. Following another well known superstition, they added vast amounts of garlic to their menus, creating distinctive, memorable dishes. My personal favorites include a filling fish soup served by a chef who runs a kitchen down by the docks. Made with onion, carrot, parsley, and celery, heavily enriched with aromatic garlic perfectly complementing flavorful tomatoes, this simple soup requires no straining thanks to the inclusion of filleted fish--a trick the resourceful chef had learned from an herbalist he had met in Dillingen.

Last night, I made a handful of recipes from my Alien cookbook for a little New Year’s party I had. Here we have:
Spinach and artichoke dip served in artichoke egg cases
Quiche in ham egg cups
Stuffed mushroom eggs
Baked apple eggs with sausage stuffing
And the pièce de résistance, chestburster banana cream pie tarts with homemade crust, custard, whipped cream, and bloody caramel sauce. These were definitely the best to my guests, and I’m lucky I still have two leftover.
