Hop Jon over (dp x dc)
"Hey mister, are you dead?" was the first thing Danny heard as he found his way back to consciousness. His body vehemently protested the move by alighting every single one of his nerve ending on fire and Danny groaned.
"Mister?"
Danny's ribs were killing him, or at least they felt like they were, and he would know. He cracked his eyes open to find a small boy crouching over him with his hands on his knees and his blue eyes wide in curiosity.
"Who-" Danny croaked.
"My name's Johnatan like grandpa, but everyone calls me Jon," the kid started babbling. "I live in Metropolis, do you know Metropolis? It's the biggest city in the world. My parents work there, they're reporters but now it's summer break so I'm with Grandma and Grandpa. You fell through the old barn from the sky. Are you an alien, like Superman?"
"Ugh," Danny said as he closed his eyes again.
"Mr. Alien, are you dead again now?"
"Yes," Danny said as he put his arm over his face, wishing he could just Not Exist.
"You're lying," the kid stated confidently. "Dead people don't talk."
"They do too," Danny mumbled as he raised his head off the floor to look at the kid properly.
"Do not!"
"Do too."
"I'm telling Grandma you're a liar," the kid sing-longed before bolting out of Danny's field of vision.
With a thud, Danny let his head fall back down. Welp, it wasn't like he was going anywhere, why not invite more people over to witness this absolute embarrassment.

I always find it strange when people lament that Rayla and Callum don't have much in common (implying they're a bad ship) when, to me, they're one of the most realistic portrayal of friends and lovers I've seen across various genres.
They very clearly enjoy each other's company. They have a similar quirky style of gallows humour. They like teasing each other, and they bounce ideas off each other. They fiercely love and care for their friends and family.
I mean, Callum just randomly starts spouting poetry at her, and does Rayla make fun of him or make him feel weird or self-conscious? Nope. She not only knows what he's talking about, she engages with it.
I suppose on the surface they don't have much in common. Callum loves his books and research, and Rayla’s more action orientated, but once you dig deeper, the foundation of their relationship is built on mutual admiration and respect.
And that is what's important. That's what long-lasting relationships are built on.
Your partner may not have the same taste in books or activities as you, but do they still engage with you about your interests? Do they support you indulging in them or spending time doing them? Do they respect you and your differences?
That love and support is what stands the test of time.

Does anyone else think about how Sakura was so excited and FRIENDLY to Suo when he thought he was a foreigner? If I had to count how often I think about that I'd say I'm never not thinking about it.
He introduced himself so POLITELY. Even tried to accommodate him by greeting him in English. He was so fuckin stoked thinking he was being kind to a foreigner.
(I'm also always thinking about how he got out the "I am-" and the part he got stuck at was his name my booooyyyy 😭)

Concept thingie for fic (dp x dc)
Danny wakes up in a hospital bed with a stranger at his bedside that calls his name as soon as Danny wakes up and hugs him. The stranger then proceeds to talk to Danny like they know each other and tells them Danny’s been in a coma for 3 months. When Danny says he has no idea who the stranger is, he looks heartbroken. Eventually, the doctor comes in and tells them that Danny has amnesia due to “the accident”, and that he’s lost years (years!) of memory. The stranger, his name is Bruce and he is also apparently his fiancé tries his best to hide how hard he’s taking the news. He’s trying not to be overly familiar, but it’s clearly painful to him, and Danny feels bad about forgetting about him. It really seems like Danny has forgotten years of his life. Except, then he gets a look at the date, and it all comes crashing down. Because, according to the date, it was Jazz’s 25rd birthday yesterday. Ant the thing with that is, he remembers attending that very party himself. Yesterday.
Something is very wrong.
