Reminds me of a line in Kate Bush song.

It comes from her masterpiece The 9th Wave from 1985.. Side 2 of The Hounds of Love Album. I ADORE it... it was considered very weird and strange back then....and still is to many folks now.

The line comes from a song called Waking the Witch... very apt for Season 1 G.O.

Everything I watch the scene, I hear Kate's song in my head.

In many ways, Good Omens opens the files on the hard drive of my memories frequently.....

God only knows what else I will post about my personal triggers from Good Omens...lol!

I was lucky enough to see it performed live in 2014, I had wanted to see Kate perform live since her previous tour in 1979 when I was too young to go.

I love Kate's wings as the blackbird part of Waking the Witch as she is in the water, it reminds of Crowley's fallen Angel wings and also when he was being pulled to hell in Edinburgh.

Kate has become very popular since Stranger Things, but I remember her first appearance on Top of the Pops in 1978.

Kate and David Bowie guided me to Lindsay Kemp as a teenager... somehow, we all find a path if we follow our dreams. I did meet Kate numerous times backstage at Kemp shows as she often came to see Lindsay and Douglas McNicol, who danced with her a lot around 1982....during The Dreaming era.

Wait a minute…so this green lock in Idia’s cute plan animation was reminding me a lot of the NRC trial admission, since the lock imagery isn’t used very often.

Everyone being trapped in green bubbles to represent Malleus’ dreamworld…the bubbles in every single anniversary art???

Idia also has the gall to give everyone in the dreams an invitation to defeat Malleus. A blue-ish invitation …it seems to unfortunately run with the theme of Malleus not getting invited to anything

In the NRC Trial Admission, which was released on the TWST website before the JP game was playable as a form of advertising, Crowley gives us an invitation where he randomly assigns us a dorm (instead of the Dark Mirror). The first link I put above has a video of this, but the invitation glitches green, before rippling into a shade of blue that is very Ignihyde and Styx

*Minor Spoilers* A little silly, a little sexy, and a little sweet! I had a lot of fun with this story. Crowley finds himself unexpectedly hauled into Heaven and put on trial for seducing an Angel. A trial that is presided over by a fusspot of an Angel with white blonde curls and a glittering gavel. Awkwaard...

There are tons of witty asides here as our mock trail goes on, and I giggled at many lines. I loved the guest appearances by Warlock and sexy fem Jesus. Who wouldn't want Jesus as their lawyer? But it's not all fun and games, there's a scandalous meeting in Crowley's jail cell at night that will warm you right up. Poor Aziraphale is put in a tough spot, I don't blame him for his confidence waning. Don't worry though, they'll figure it out eventually.

Technically it could be rated as a Mostly Safe in Public, since there is just one explicit scene, but I'd just save it for a fun after dark indulgence.

Aye, a Newt

I have to get this "She turned me into a newt!" thing out of my brain, sorry. It keeps demanding to be written. So here it is.

There is a "newt" parallel between S1 and S2, you see. It's a pretty sly joke. Easily missed by most, I would think.

Some of this I have mentioned before, but lets repeat it.

The CGI initially didn't make it clear to me what kind of reptiles the kids of Job were transformed into by Crowley, and it wasn't until I saw an article about the CGI that I found out they were supposed to be geckos. Ah! Right. Makes sense. Geckos are more likely the kind of thing to found in an arid area like the Middle East... But I can tell the CGI team isn't that familiar with the cute little beasties. See, I grew up in a part of the world where they are a common thing, and a part of everyday life, particularly during the warmer summer months. And those CGI geckos lacked a bit of authenticity in my eyes. Such as the on-screen geckos never once licked their eyes clean with their tongues. Or squeaked. And yes, ...barking geckos are a real thing. Feisty little buggers they can be, too. They don't want you messing with them, and they let you know. The whole turning kids into geckos bit is great imo. Take a look at this shoulder-angel view just beforehand.

Yep. They're on the wrong side. Little devils. Then the two older devils kids proceed to piss the older devil demon off, who promptly turns them into newts geckos with a snap of his fingers, which left poor sweet I'm-Jemimah-and-I-made-this-pot! feeling left out, who had done nothing wrong, asks to be a blue (Heaven-coded) one, and who can resist that little honey, hmmm?

OK. Newts, or geckos, they are both lizards, and they were usually associated with the occult and their use by witches. But where did this come from?

Er, not the "Scottish Play"...although they are mentioned there:

“Fillet of a fenny snake, In the cauldron boil and bake; Eye of newt and toe of frog, Wool of bat and tongue of dog, Adder’s fork and blind-worm’s sting, Lizard’s leg and owlet’s wing, For a charm of powerful trouble, Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.”

Reptiles such as geckos and lizards had magical qualities to the ancient Egyptians and Mesopotamian's, as they were able to regenerate their tails if they lost them. So they were a very apt choice for our witch, I mean demon, sorry, to turn Job's kids into. Crowley and Aziraphale did have to "regenerate" them back into children later on the next day.

Then we have Newt joining forces with Anathema, the modern day witch, in S1.

Yeah. Enough said, there, I think.
