favorite crime // psycho!stalker!rafe x innocent!reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary ; sometimes being the obsession of someone can turn really bad. sometimes being friend to someone doesn't mean that you really know this person, and mostly, that your kindness will be returned.
warnings : dark content. stalking. manipulation. crimes : murder/kidnapping. smut. sick, poker face, and insane behavior. toxic attitude. innocence kink. violence. dubcon. fear/vulnerability enthousiast. jealousy. dark!mean!rafe. corruption. abuse of power. creepy behavior. minors dni. as always, be careful with the warnings please. don't joke with it.
author's note : i really love how all my concepts with rafe are so fucked up. it's around 2,6k words.
Tumblr media
as a shy and innocent girl, too kind for your own good and too sweet to attract nice boys, you had always attracted rafe's attention. especially when you were the pretty employee at his favorite video game store. it was only for you that he spent hours in front of the cash register, trying to get to know you when in reality, he knew you by heart, every detail of your life. he was obsessed with you. he was already terribly sick, diving into your perfect kindness and purity.
you didn't understand why people were afraid of him or said bad things about him because you found him charming and lovely. that was the impression he forced himself to give you. he always had nicknames for you like pumpkin, doll, cupcake, sweet, pretty thing.
the first time he walked into the store, your store manager was yelling at you. and you felt so ashamed and small. there were customers and that made you nervous. you were already crying, impossible to contain your tears in the face of the excess anger you received from this man. it wasn't the first time he did this but maybe the last.
you quickly returned to work, still in tears facing the products on the shelves and the new customer came to you. with a box of donuts. strangely, you didn't know how he could know that you liked it and that it was your favorite. but the attention was touching, more important for you.
“i bought them especially for you. it would hurt my heart if you refused them.”
“you didn’t have to do that.” you replied politely and smiled.
“i know but i wanted to do it. someone has to pay attention to you, and check on your messy health, pumpkin.”
"oh my manager is usually nice. i don't know what's going on."
"you're lying. you're lying because you're too kind to say bad things about people when they're fucking assholes. but don't worry, it won't happen again."
“how can you be sure?”
“enjoy your donuts, don’t think about anything else. let me ease you, pretty thing. ”
the next day, your manager had never been so nice to you. and the other days too. and he always disappeared in rafe's presence. it brought you a lot closer together, because now he came every day. you didn't know if rafe HAD time, or he FOUND it just for you. all you knew was that he made your days in the store so much better.
by coming here, he had become a loyal customer but also someone you could talk to, and he pretended not to know every moment of your private life while he spied on you as soon as he left the store.
he could stay in his car for hours until you finished work. he wasn't just watching you, no, he had also hacked into the cameras at your workplace to be able to record, listen and follow everything you did. nothing escaped him.
he was a jealous person and above all someone who didn't like having his ego attacked. that meant he definitely wasn't going to put up with you having this cute and perfect attitude with the other customers. well, especially men.
you were only doing your job for which you were poorly paid. to avoid getting bored and because you were trying to work on your shyness, you tried to come out of your shell by talking with customers.
but you made a mistake today. you didn't know it yet but you were going to regret it deeply and learn it hard.
"i think you're really pretty and you're so interesting..." the boy began, stammering a little, his elbows resting on the checkout counter. "i mean, it's rare to find girls like you... would you go out with me... i mean tonight haha! we could play a game ? "
it wasn't the first time you'd been flirted with, but certainly the first time you'd accepted. you had never dated anyone, you had never been in a relationship, you didn't even know what it felt like to truly be in love, to feel something for someone. and even if you were, you were too shy to admit it. but it was different, you wanted to try. you didn't have a plan tonight.
"you don't have to accept but here's my number..." he wrote on a post-it and you smiled back. you put it in the back pocket of your jeans.
you were so deep in thought that you couldn't have seen that the minute your new friend left the store, rafe got out of his car. he doesn't entered yet, he had something to sort out first.
but when he went to the store, you felt him different. there were bruises on his face, as if he had been in a fight. “what happened? do you want me to call an ambulance? "
“it's alright, pumpkin. it's just a little blood.”
“do you want me to take care of that?”
"it would be bad of me to abuse your time and your kindness. i have better things to offer, how about I walk you home tonight? i know your work is not close to where you live and i have my car right here...'
you had been surprised that he knew information like this. “no, don’t worry. besides, i’m busy this evening. ”
rafe's jaw tensed and contracted. he gave a tense and forced smile.
“ let me do this for you. you must be tired. ”
“you don’t need to do this for me, although I truly appreciate it.”
“you're wrong, i need to do this for you, sweetheart. just like everything you do for me. ”
“if you insist, it can’t kill me!”
if only you knew…
“ you're really so nice, pumpkin..."
“is that a bad thing?”
he scratched his chin with a light but somewhat dramatic smile before looking into your eyes. you were in ambiguous proximity since you were both leaning over the counter. he was taller than you, so you looked up.
"to be kind? no, not at all, sweetheart. it's just dangerous for you not to know who you're nice to. not all people are that sweet. sometimes they're really mean.”
“ what do…”
“ anyways, don't make me wait later. and you know you look really pretty today, you should dress up for me more often.”
you smiled. you couldn't ignore how nice it felt to receive a compliment, and especially from a pretty handsome boy. in one day, everything had gone by so quickly. you had a date, and rafe was taking you home. your evening promised to be perfect and unforgettable. you couldn’t wait.
at the end of the day. you had cleaned, tidied up all the shelves, turned off all the consoles, counted your cash register then closed shop in a breath of glory. you could finally relax.
as promised, rafe was waiting for you. he was leaning against his car, hands in his pockets.
he had opened your car door in a relatively clever way and then stood inside. he had closed the doors. and he had started. except he wasn't going the way to your house, he was going in the opposite direction.
“rafe, it’s not towards my house…”
“ i know, sweetheart, since we’re not going to your house.”
“but you said you were taking me home?”
“pumpkin, i lie a lot too.”
"rafe, i want to go home... seriously, this isn't fun. i have to meet someone tonight and he's going to wait for me ! "
“trust me, he’s not waiting for you.”
you were starting to panic because this really wasn't the person you knew. this time he didn't seem to be playing a character to please you. he was natural. you looked at him with big eyes. fear gripped your stomach, because you didn't know where you were going and he could go anywhere. you were on the verge of exploding, you needed to get out of that car but he was driving too fast.
“slow down, rafe. please, slow down.”
"oh no sweet thing, i make the rules here. you can't beg because i absolutely don't want to hear anything from you, you understand? i want you to stay nice and quiet like you've always been."
“rafe, fucking stop that car. "
he stopped suddenly, your head had hit the dashboard badly. he had gently lifted your face, putting your hair back in place while you cried into his hands from the emotion and shock.
“see? what happens when you swear like that? do you understand why you have to be polite now? it's a waste for a pretty girl like you to have such vocabulary. ”
you felt the tips of his lips on your nose, they were cold but comforting. there was something so bitter and disturbing in his tenderness as if there was nothing good even in his kindness. that all this affection was manipulation.
“i really want to go home.”
“i have a surprise for you. can you be patient?”
“ rafe, what is wrong…?”
“i’m taking care of you right now.”
"it's a kidnapping! i'm going to call the police."
he smiled wickedly as he resumed driving. “in your place, i wouldn’t make a single move. ”
“why? are you going to kill me?”
" oh i could, pumpkin. for now, i like you alive but if you still want to play silly with me, i might really want to. no, i will. so stay still and don’t make me be mean to you, i’d hate to have to hurt you.”
“if you don’t like hurting me, why are you doing this to me?” your tears were hot, rivers shining down your eyes. he was cruel and insensitive there. it didn't matter to him.
“ i really hate you..."
" oh such a pleasure actually pumpkin. tell me how much you hate me with those pretty annoying crybaby tears on your face. and don't forget to tell me when you're dry, i will gladly make you cry again. “
your throat felt tight and you were desperate. you had a knot in your stomach, fear that made you even more stupid and lost than you already were. because certainly, there was hatred but a lot of fear. he drove quietly, but he was mean to you. he no longer had the kind words he had for you when he came to see you at work. it was as if he was mad at you for something.
“what can i do to get you to take me home? "
“i could make you do a lot of things, but under no circumstances will i take you home.”
“you want sex? "
"oh i'm not sure that the virgin that you are would be able to make me cum but you can always prove me wrong."
“are you really going to kill me?”
“the more you ask me, the more i have the impression that this is what you would like.”
“i want to stay alive and go home.”
"you had to think about that before flirting with that idiot."
he had parked in an abandoned place, on a completely deserted road. when he opened the doors, you took your chance.
what a stupid mistake.
he was much bigger and faster than you. he had caught up with you without even running out of breath. he pulled you by the waist, pinning his arm against your bare stomach. he was clearly abusing all of his power. you had bitten him and he had released you. you fell heavily to the ground, and he positioned himself on top of you, crushing you against the grass with his fully beefy weight.
“it’s not time to play yet. try to escape from me again sweet thing, and i promise you that i will make sure that you have no more energy to run, but especially to escape. ” he had grabbed your jaw with one hand, gripping his fingers tightly against your skin. “and even if you are innocent, pumpkin. you and i know very well that you are aware of what i mean by that.”
your heart rate had increased so quickly. you were trapped and vulnerable. you wanted to spit in his face but you weren’t that suicidal.
he took your hand and placed it on his bulge which literally distorted his pants. “that's all that your heartbeat and your accelerated breathing make me feel right now. is it big? yes, and believe me i can make this bigger and very painful for you. so, no more playing, pumpkin.”
you nodded and he kissed your forehead. “you got it well, sweetheart. don’t let me be mean to you again because you’re really going to hate it.”
he stood up and extended his hand towards you. his tenderness was so unhealthy. he had taken you to the car and pulled a tied up boy out of the trunk.
the one you were supposed to see this evening. you let out a huge cry, taking several steps back but rafe took your hand, wrapping it too tightly against your little wrist.
“why did you do that? please leave me alone. i don’t want to see that!”
"oh oh, you're not the one who makes the rules here. i’m the only one who makes the fucking rules, i'm the only one who decides and not only do i decide what happens but also what role you're going to play. you wanted to flirt with this guy, go on a date with him? you had to be smarter and not do it in front of my eyes now look what you did this poor man is going to die because of you.”
"are you serious? you can't kill an innocent person! he didn't do anything."
"pumpkin, my sweet pumpkin, for every word you say, for every tear you shed, he will take a bullet. so please continue to defend him. i think we are already more than twenty"
you wanted to stop crying but you couldn't because the situation was surreal, horrible and so crazy. you refused to believe that rafe cameron could be a man like that.
“almost fifty. you're really going to kill him, sweetheart. you could be nicer. "
he was so sick and bad. he was taking advantage of the situation. it was completely sadistic. “i beg you to spare him.”
"now you beg for him? pumpkin, i’m the only one you can and should beg for."
he had fired more than fifty bullets into this poor guy's body. without the slightest shame, the slightest remorse and the slightest guilt. he didn't really feel anything. as you collapsed, completely devastated and ruined by what he had just done to you.
he had just killed a man in front of your eyes.
people always said that a guy who killed for you was romantic. but you didn't find it romantic. on the contrary, it had downright tortured you. you were afraid of him. you didn't even know how you managed not to piss on yourself because clearly, he was so creepy.
" i think he's dead." it was ironic, but coming from rafe, it wasn't funny or reassuring.
"what's wrong with you? and what are you doing with a gun? all those video games that made you sick or those horror movies?"
“watch your tone. you see how i killed him? it could be your turn too. ”
“no, don’t kill me!”
he moved closer to you, a laugh passing his lips. he knelt down to caress your tears with his thumb.
“you see what happens when you want to please others? how are you going to fix this now? ”
“i beg you to not kill me. ” you couldn't even see the ground, you were crying so much. it was a traumatic scene.
“now it's time to play. maybe i should have waited before killing him. i mean i wish he could watch you get destroyed by my cock. get in the car, and don't try to escape from me. i can be even more cruel to you. ”
he was hot and cold. all the time. you went to the car while you guessed that he must bury or hide the body somewhere. it had seemed like an eternity before he came back but on the one hand, there was something comforting about the fact that you weren't alone in the forest and that there was someone. even if it was cool.
he had gotten into the car. and patted his thighs to signal you to come on top. you didn't argue and came on his legs. you immediately felt his erection against the fabric of your underwear. it could hardly be ignored because the bulge had literally made you a few centimeters taller.
“are you still crying? he was a poor guy. he had a fucking girlfriend. do you want to date a guy who cheats on you? it's not worth it. you are better than that, you deserve better than that. ”
“by better, does that mean you? ”
“it’s different...but sure i would treat you better.”
“you killed someone in front of my eyes!”
“see? anything i can do for you.”
"you're sick and you ruined my life!"
"i’m tired of all this hysteria. i was going to kindly offer to prepare you with lube, but since you're offering me these pretty tears, we'll make do with it..."
“rafe…”
“oh no pumpkin. it’s not time to say my name yet.”
when he pushed himself inside you, the leaking tip slipped in your folds slick with a hard and brutal thrust. he made his way, watching his own cock stretching your cunt. you cried out from the pain, but you can't help but felt a little slight pleasure. “ if you're still crying for him, i swear i'm gonna fuck you until you're dry. ”
you started to bounce on him with your trembling legs, your ass slapping his thick thighs, your hair shaking on your shoulders, and your face ruined by your multiples and messy whining. you were tense as his girth splitted your sweet virgin cunt. he forced you to sped up the pace, smacking your butt every time you were too slow. his hands was big and strong, enough to feel the pain. especially, when the rings on his fingers left a mark on your poor skin. your tits were now on his hands, pressed firmly and your nipples on his mouth. he spat on them a couple of times. they were filled with spittles and marks, the succions noises in synchro with your rocking bodies. he was stuffed you with his hard dick. making you arched your back, and he placed his heavy hands on your waist, reaching your hips to help you go deeper, to fully take him, every inches.
“ it's like your pussy begging me to breed you…”
“ what…w-what is it ? ” you were too innocent to know those kinds of things.
you had the face and the attitude of an angel, too perfect, too pure, too delicate. “ maybe, it's better to show you, pumpkin. with that, you will be more able to learn the lesson and don't make me mad again. ”
“ what ? ” you gasped. you felt giddy but at the same time, curious.
“ m’ gonna make you so dirty, angel. tonight, you will lose your wings and purity for me. ”
“ please, don't hurt me ! ”
“ oh sweetheart, you're the only one to hurt me, the only one to make me do those kind of things..."

Liam's Sweet Tooth
A Weight Gain Story
Liam was lifting weights when I got home. His muscular body was coated in sweat and his face was scrunched up in determination and pain. He knew I was home but didn’t acknowledge me until he finished his set.
I was fine with that. Not every guy gets to come home to an absolute adonis pumping iron in his living room.
He dropped the weights and wiped the sweat from his brow. “Hey, honey. You’re early.”
“The cake orders for tomorrow got cancelled, so I didn’t need to be there. I let Manny finish up.”
“Hopefully he won’t eat all of your inventory.”
“Don’t say that.”
Liam was such a nice guy, but he always made snide little remarks about my employees. I owned a bakery, so of course my workers gained a bit of weight over the years. Manny had been with me from the beginning, so Liam had seen him grow from a svelte 22-year-old kid into a 350-pound 28-year-old man. He was a good worker because he believed in the product, but he never, ever ate anything that wasn’t going to be thrown away.
Plus, the customers loved him. I always sold more stuff when he was behind the counter because he constantly gave suggestions and raved about pretty much everything I made.
“Sorry,” Liam said. “So what did you bring for me?”
I’d forgotten that I had a box in my hands. I opened the lid, revealing a brand-new éclair that I was planning to introduce.
He took a big bite and whimpered. “Babe, this is incredible.”
“That’s what I wanted to hear.”
Liam had dubbed himself my official taste-tester. Every time I tried something new, I always gave him the first bite.
He wasn’t a particularly good taste-tester, though. Despite being ridiculously fit, he had the biggest sweet tooth of anyone I knew. Every dessert tasted “incredible” to him. One time, for a little experiment, I gave him a donut that I’d purposely made with way too much sugar. It was inedible. But he still ate the whole thing and gave me a big thumbs up.
“You just brought one?” he asked, licking his fingers.
“I always just bring one.”
“Yeah. ’Cause Manny eats the rest of ’em, huh?”
“Stop saying things like that!” I shouted.
Liam flinched. I never raised my voice, especially at him.
“Sorry. I’m a little upset. Manny put in his two weeks’ notice today. His bitchy wife got a job in Phoenix.” It really hurt to lose my oldest and most loyal employee. I knew this day would come. He’d been talking about moving for months now, but the news still stung.
“Well, shit,” Liam said, wrapping me in a sweaty hug. “That sucks.”
“It’ll be fine,” I said, both to him and to myself. “I’m sure I’ll find someone, though I doubt I’ll find anyone as enthusiastic.”
He pulled away. “I’ll do it!”
I let the words sink in, but I didn’t respond.
“Seriously! Think about it! No one appreciates your baking as much as I do! Plus, I’m superhot. Your stuff will be flying off the shelves like hotcakes!”
“I don’t make hotcakes,” I joked, mostly to avoid responding.
Liam was amazing. And I’m pretty sure he was a good worker. The only reason he was currently unemployed was because his previous employer had gone bankrupt. But…
“I don’t know if that would be healthy for us,” I said. “Mixing business with pleasure. You know.”
“Yeah. I get it.” He collapsed onto the sofa dramatically. For such a big, masculine guy, there were times when he reminded me of a six-year-old.
I hated to disappoint him like this. And if I took our marriage out of the equation, he would be an ideal candidate.
“Okay. How about this? I’ll hire you for a month, and we’ll see if it works without, you know, affecting our marriage.”
He jumped up. “Really?”
“But be aware. I’m a tough boss. I try to run a tight ship, so I’ll be treating you like an employee, not a husband.”
“Understood.” He kissed me.
“And you won’t freak out if you start gaining weight like all my other employees?”
He scoffed. “Look at me! I’m married to the city’s best baker and I still have a six pack. I think I’ll be fine.”
What he didn’t realize was that I chose to limit the amount of sweets I brought home. For Liam, they were an occasional treat, not a daily temptation. At work, I used the leftover baked goods as a reward to my employees. An incentive.
But he’d find out soon enough. I wouldn’t be surprised if he started gaining right away. Like Manny had. Knowing how vain Liam was, he’d gain ten pounds, get horrified, and quit. You mark my words.
***
Two years later.
When I got home, Liam was sitting on our new, reinforced sofa, eating red velvet cake by the handful. His flabby body spread out in all directions, his pale side rolls hanging over the edge of the red sofa like the thick icing on his rapidly-disappearing cake. He knew I was home, but he didn’t acknowledge me until he had finished binging.
I was fine with that. Not every guy gets to come home to a such a luscious example of soft, jiggling hedonism.
“Hey, honey. You’re home early.”
“Yeah. Manny’s handling tomorrow’s orders again. Since he came back, he’s been absolutely killing it. I’ve been giving him more of my responsibilities, and he hasn’t disappointed me yet. Sales are finally up again.”
A look of embarrassment passed over Liam's icing-stained faced. “Well, you made the right choice, babe.” He tried to pull his shirt down to cover more of his bulging stomach, but the fabric immediately rolled back up. Plus, he spilled a bunch of crumbs onto the couch.
“We all have our talents,” I told him reassuringly as I grabbed the dustbuster from the table. I switched it on and cleaned up the sofa cushions. Then I got to work sucking up all the crumbs that were still on his stomach. The handheld vacuum pulled at his soft flesh, sending ripples through him in the most adorably hypnotic way. I loved cleaning my husband, and I think he loved it, too.
He just leaned back, moaning softly, enjoying the rhythmic wobble.
“And what’s my talent?” he asked me.
I picked up a hunk of cake that he’d left on the table and pushed it against his lips. He gobbled it up as fast as the dustbuster. “What do you think, Liam?”
His talent was eating. Obviously. A beautiful talent. An incredibly erotic talent.
And a talent that had almost put me out of business.
When Liam first started working for me, he was the ideal employee. He followed directions and used his muscle-god body to entice the customers into ordering more food. He had this line that he’d always use whenever a customer was second-guessing an order: “Treat yourself. An extra donut won’t hurt you. I eat ’em all the time, and look at me.”
That line became less and less effective as the weeks wore on. I thought Manny had gained weight fast, but nothing compared to Liam. It took him three weeks (I’m not kidding) to develop a droop over his belt. A month for his pecs to turn into moobs. Two months for an extremely noticeable double chin. Three months in, his stomach had morphed from abs into a full-on gut.
His whole “treat yourself” mantra had turned into a major turn-off to our customers. When they looked at Liam behind the counter, they saw proof of how dangerously fattening my treats were.
Back when Manny had been behind the counter, the customers took his large body as an endorsement of the products. With Liam, who was so red-faced and winded at the same size, they took it as a warning sign: "Don't eat here or you'll end up like him."
I lost customers. I lost money on all his new uniforms. And worst of all, I lost my inventory.
It took me a couple months to discover exactly why Liam was gaining so fast: He was stealing our food. It started out with a couple missing donuts or cake slices each day, but the longer he worked, the more he took. Once I caught him red-handed (well, chocolate-handed), I completely flipped out. He was putting my business in jeopardy. None of my other employees had ever done that.
He started crying and swore to me up and down that he’d stop.
For a while, he did. He started buying cheap (and terrible) baked goods from the supermarket just so he could have something to eat while he worked. Business was still down, but at least I wasn’t running out of food.
After a year and a half, Liam had ballooned to over 350 pounds. Manny had been that size (after six years), but he always had a ton of energy and enthusiasm. I think because Liam’s gains had happened so fast, and his muscles had so quickly atrophied under his extra layers, he’d become a much more sluggish, much less healthy-looking fat person. It took him way too long to do the simplest tasks, and he was really scaring off customers.
The ironic part is that, despite how bad he was for business, I found him hotter by the day. I loved him as a muscle stud, but I loved him so much more as the soft, weak blob that he’d become. I wanted to take care of him, to grow him, to serve his unending hunger.
When I caught him in the back of the bakery squeezing my expensive buttercream icing into his mouth, I was both furious and aroused. I fired him then and there, explaining that I loved what he’d done to himself but I couldn’t keep putting my business in jeopardy.
He understood.
Thankfully, that was around the time that Manny had moved back from Phoenix. (His marriage didn’t work out.) I hired him to be my co-manager, giving him free rein to try different strategies to turn the business back around.
And he did. Six months later and we were back on track. The business was in the black and Liam, free to eat all day at home, gained an additional 70 pounds. (I think. Our scale broke.)
I crawled onto the sofa next to my big, beautiful husband. He radiated warmth. One hand around his sloping shoulders and another rubbing his belly, I felt so deeply happy. We weren’t meant to work together, but in the short time that we had, our relationship (and his body) grew in ways that neither of us imagined.
He leaned closer, his belly shifting and sloshing, and whispered into my ear. I thought he was going to say something romantic. Instead, he whispered, “I’m thirsty.”
“I’ll get you something sweet.”
The End.

Yandere Baker Pt. 2
Requests are open !
• "Nooooo!!!!" This was your first reaction when you measured your current weight on the machine.
• You have gained quite a lot weight you thought looking at the number on the machine.
• Today at office a coworker said to you that you were looking quite chubby this days and that led you to this checking out your weight.
• You looked at the mirror and thought to yourself that now you have to go on diet as you cheeks looked a bit chubby and your weight increased.
• You didn't want to go on a diet because that would mean not going to your favourite bakery, seeing the cute baker and eating his delicious treats.
• The mouthwatering pastries and cakes are now replaced by veggies, fruits and nutritional food.
• It has been a huge record that you have not gone to the bakery since 5 days.
• Your absence made yan worried about you and sad.
• "Are my baking skills not good now?" He thought while waiting for you but you didn't came.
• He would look at you through bakery glass wall jogging in morning. He would come out and call out for you "Y/n I just baked your favourite pastry, come inside and let's have a taste." While holding the tray with mouthwatering pastries at you.
The aroma, the beautiful texture tempted you but you would just start running away yelling "Next time yan right now busy exercising".
• This made him incredible sad thinking "what will I do now if my y/n isn't eating my pastries and cakes?"
• Will definitely cry for hours in his bakery sitting alone in a corner.
• Going crazy thinking "are my baking skills not enough now? Does she not like me anymore now? I baked her favourite and yet she refused, this is not my y/n."
• Enough is enough he goes to your home one day ringing the bell like a maniac with a box filled with your favourites. Wanting to know why his favourite customer isn't coming anymore????!!!!!
•You opened the door and invited him inside explaining the whole weight gain thing.
• He is just shocked looking at you with unbelievable expression. You and getting fat? IMPOSSIBLE.
• According to him you are absolutely perfect and not at all chubby, fat, skinny or anything.
• Thinks of beating that co worker who made you think you are gaining weight. Even though he is not a violence person.
• According to him you are not gaining weight you are just becoming more healthy with his love which he is pouring on you through his baked goods.
• He tries to convince you that you are not gaining weight and you need to come to bakery as usual.
• But when you don't agree he comes with a plan.
• This man starts a new section in his bakery with title "SUGAR FREE BAKED GOODS" which has no sugar and is made from only healthy stuffs only. Like sugar free bananas muffins, oatmeal cookies which health influencer shows on their channel even though it is totally against his baking ethics. But this man would do anything for you. For you to eat his food. After all this man's love language is feeding you his handmade food.
• His bakery now has oatmeal cookies, apple donuts which is nothing but fruits cutted and some healthy toppings on it. Making all this in his bakery even though he hates it as he loves making stuff filled with cream, toppings, chocolate etc.
• But he will do anything to have you back at bakery and eat.
• His sale increased as he was selling both cream fillied delicious pastries and healthy sugar free things made from apples and berries and oatmeal etc.
• His bakery was all over the internet viral through health influencer videos you followed which made you go to the bakery too.
• You ate the healthy stuff and even complimented him on this new business ideas of his (only if you knew that he started all this for you)
• He was happy that you would come sometimes at bakery for the healthy stuff now.
• But he was not elated as you were not coming everyday and eating those baked stuff which made you happy.
• He would come with you on morning joggings to be near you.
• After a month with your exercise and dieting you loss a good amount of weight. Which made you happy.
• Upon your success in weight lossing he gave you a small cupcake of your favourite icing.
"Come on y/n I made it for your celebration on losing weight. I wanted to make a cake but I know you won't eat it so I made a little cupcake. And come on all the health influencers says you should reward yourself with a little treat after work. And a little cupcake won't hurt." He said manipulating you with his puppy eyes and pretty words.
And the cupcake he made for you looks so tempting that you ate it thinking a little cupcake won't hurt. You ate it and felt like you were in heaven again eating it after a month. You missed all this so bad!!!
• Well you have fallen again now in his sweet baked trap coming everyday eating crossiant, pastry, cake while yan tells you " a little won't hurt y/n you have already loss weight and you also eat the nutritious food I made it's all balance" he says while feeding you his delicious treats being happy that you are back to eating his baked goods.
• Seems like you are never gonna be able to escape his pastries and the good looking baker who makes it.

𝓦ANNA BE YOUR ENDGAME
aka heather’s relationship with joe
━━━ ❛ ooh, you and me would be a big conversation
Tumblr media
how did they meet?  they met in February of 2022. joe had heard from one of his teammates about how “amazing and warm” the new bakery ‘petals n pastries’ near their stadium was, and he knew he had to try it. they met through joe being a customer at the said bakery / flower shop.
their first impressions?
joe was already surprised when he walked into ‘petals n pastries’ the atmosphere was so comforting and warm, but when he saw her standing there behind the counter with the prettiest smile on her face as she talked to a customer, it was when he was really in awe. He couldn't help but smile when he talked to her, her smile was so infectious, he liked how friendly and sweet she was. And he really liked how passionate she was about her shop; it was obvious she loved what she was doing.
heather of course immediately thought of how handsome he was – I mean can you blame her? But she really liked how polite and kind he was to her and her staff, he had a kind smile on his face and didn't rush them at all. She really just liked how sweet he was . . . finding him attractive as well, it was like instant butterflies for her.
who fell first?  joe was the one to technically ‘fall’ first, looking back at it, it was like love at first sight for him. He had become a regular at ‘petals n pastries’ just so he could see her more (and because the pastries were amazing ofc) and form a friendship with her.
first date?  heather had made him a personal small box of his favorite donuts, decorated with the Bengal's colors as a good luck for his upcoming game, and joe knew he couldn't wait anymore. He then asked her out on a date and thankfully she said yes, 2 days later joe picked heather up at her apartment. He knew how much heather liked being creative so he took her to this really cool place where they could paint and eat. The date was an amazing success, the night ending with joe walking her up to her door and making sure she got in safely.
who asked who?  joe was the one to ask her to be his girlfriend after their third date. Joe had taken her out to a nice romantic candlelit dinner, where the two spent hours talking and sharing their foods, they were sat in a private corner of the restaurant, making it feel even more romantic and intimate. they were sharing a desert when joe asked her, and despite her slight nerves about getting into a relationship, she said yes!
first kiss?  joe and heather had their first kiss during their second date, they were at ‘petals n pastries’ for a private date, doing some baking together. Joe was standing behind her, helping her roll out some dough, heather had tilted her head to look up at him, both of them pausing when they realized how close they really were. the tension was thick, and they didn't break eye contact as joe leaned down, pulling her into a sweet kiss.
first ‘I love you’?  heather was the one to say ‘i love you’ first. heather had a key to joe’s home and decided to surprise him with making his favorite meal while he was having a game. the game ended with a bad loss, so joe was going back home all upset, not expecting to see his sunshine girlfriend in his kitchen cooking him an amazing dinner, the living room already set up for a movie night. Joe had asked her “you did this all for me?” and she smiled and said “i love you silly, of course i did” heather was kinda surprised that she said that, and she worried that she had said it too soon, but he just smiled and pulled her into a kiss, whispering “i love you too”
did either of them try to hide their feelings?  heather tried to hide her feelings at first, she still was hesitant about getting in a relationship after how badly her last one ended. So, she didn't want to accept the fact that she in fact did like Joe, but the more time she spent with him, the harder it was for her to hide it.
how did everyone find out and react?
family + friends: heather told her parents, brothers and closest friends when they started dating, not being able to hide it from them, but her mom and her two closest friends, elora and sophie knew about joe before they started dating. Her family and friends were all very supportive, surprised and shocked but supportive! Joe told his mom about heather when they became friends, needing advice from her. He told his best friend ja’marr about heather a few days after he met her for the first time. But he (slowly) told the rest of his family, friends and teammates about her when they started dating. Joe's family and friends were also very supportive as well.
the public: heather’s fans speculated that she was seeing someone, from the faceless pictures she would post of the same guy, and from the few times they heard a guy talking in the background of her YouTube pictures. But the public found out when pictures of them hugging and kissing after one of Joe's games went viral. Along with a video of him walking up to her, pulling her into a big hug, smiling at her before kissing her. there were a lot of happy fans, heather fans, nfl fans, and nhl fans! It was mostly positive but there was still a big amount of hate. Many articles were made about them. This happened at the start of the nfl season in 2023.

ꪆ୧ FUN FACTS !
joe went into ‘petals n pastries’ around 4 times before he got the courage to ask for her number. And when he did get her number, they talked for 2 weeks before he asked her on a date.
joe is very protective of heather, and their relationship in general. He is very quick to shut down any rude and disrespectful questions about her and their relationship.
heather moved into joe’s home in january of 2023. joe had given her a key for christmas, asking her to move in with him.
joe and heather adopted a male cat named snoopy when they started living together.
they started dating august of 2022, making their anniversary august 18th.
joe wanted to keep their relationship a secret from the public as long as they could, not wanting to put her in the eyes of reporters, haters, and parasocial fans. All he wants is to protect her.
joe gets along very well with Heather's family, they love him and he loves them. they are so welcoming and supportive. Joe’s family also love heather, they find her so darling and they love to tease joe on when he's going to purpose, wanting her to be a burrow.
heather used to have a terrible sleep schedule before she moved in with joe, when they started dating it got a little better? But now it's more healthy!
joe has been teasingly called a ‘mama bear’ a few times from how protective and worried he is about heather, it’s not in an overbearing way, he just really loves her.
they both have a habit of rambling/ranting on topics they are passionate about, it's mostly heather who can just go on and on, and joe just watches and listens to her with a smile on his lips, he swears he falls more in love with her every time.
heather loves teaching joe about hockey, while he teaches her about football.
joe is a little, okay way more than a little obsessed with their height difference, he loves using it to his advantage, finding new ways to tease her….
joe lives off making heather flustered, he loves seeing her blush and get all shy by the things he says or does. She gets all shy and stumbles over her words, avoiding eye contact with him.
heather has a great relationship with joe’s friends and teammates, she’s the closest with ja’marr!
the three of them love going out and doing things together, heather and ja’marr are definitely a chaotic duo, always getting into mischief. joe sometimes feels like he's supervising them when they go out, making sure they don’t get in trouble.
joe also has a great relationship with heathers closest friends, mostly elora and sophie because they also live in Cincinnati.
joe loves to surprise Heather at work, bringing her lunch so they can eat together or just to simply see her. A few of heathers elderly female regulars absolutely adore joe, they love teasing the sweet couple.
heather is also very protective of joe (which he finds adorable and loves) not just of his physical but also his emotions and mental. She tries her best to not let him see any negativity, and she helps as much as she can to help him relax and let his emotions take a break.
She worries a lot ... .not in an overbearing way, she just doesnt want Joe to get hurt again.
Joe likes to call her ‘his little nurse’ with how good she takes care of him.
heather was a little nervous at first moving in with joe, but she's so happy she did.  And joe is too, for the longest time it was just a house for him, but now it really feels like a home.
heather loves going to joe’s games, sitting with the other wags.
they are each other’s biggest supporters! They are so proud of each other.
joe loves to spoil heather (and snoopy) , always buying her gifts and new baking supplies, taking her on trips etc.
they love their date nights very much, enjoying trying new activities together!
they love going out on dates, but they also really just love staying at home together, watching movies, playing board games, doing puzzles, coloring, baking etc.
they love hosting little get-togethers at their home, joe finds it cute how excited heather gets at planning it.
joe loves when heather sings, he wants to listen to her sing for the rest of their lives.
they both have a very high sex drive
joe being the dom while heather is the sub
they are a very touchy couple; they love being close.
they are a very domestic couple; their small family is them and their cat!
they are very good at communicating, and even though they are very close and love spending time together, they both know how important it is to have some personal time.
joe normally wakes up earlier than heather, giving her a few kisses and telling her he loves her before going to work out, practice etc.
heather loves cooking and baking for joe, always trying new recipes that are the best for his diet.
joe does have a chef for them, but it's mostly during the nfl season.
heather is joe’s passenger princess
heather is always on joe’s mind, and everyone can tell.
joe always follows the sidewalk rule
they love cuddling on the couch as they watch football games, and heather always asks the same questions almost every time they watch a game, and it makes joe so happy.
they truly are each other's soulmate
have done a few interviews together
joe has made some appearances on her YouTube channel
they are so in touch with each other, knowing how they feel and what they are thinking without even having to talk.

Young Justice Robin! Dick Grayson x YJ reader
Tumblr media
The bell on the door jingles when the two of you walked into a dessert cafe in Gotham. “Hi what can I get you…” the bored employee stops in mid sentence as he looks up, realizing two well known side kicks were in line for desserts. Since the two of you finished a mission you both got assigned to, Robin wanted to go to a dessert cafe that is hosting a Justice league theme parfaits.
“Umm, uh, Do you need help h-help with a-something?” The employee asked, shocked
“ We’re here to have the special event parfaits” exclaimed Robin in excitement
Robin looks through the Justice league theme menus before. Wonder Women’s strawberry warrior parfait. A Batman parfait’s chocolate crumble cookie crusade and finally, Robin’s eyes widen in excitement, Superman’s Kryptonite sensation.
“So I’m guessing you want the chocolate crumble cookie crusade?”He asked without looking up
“No, I would want the Superman’s Kryptonite Sensation please.” Answered Robin
You give a smug smile to yourself, fully aware that his favorite superhero is Superman, much to his mentor’s dismay, along with the cashier’s jaw dropped and other customers shocked.
“Aww, poor Batman.” You giggled in false pity. “Here I thought, that as Batman’s partner in heroism, you’ll pick Batman theme merch”
He gives a small crackle, at your sassy remark, “well Superman is my favorite flavor”
“I’ll take the Batman’s Chocolate Crumble Cookie Crusade then, as pity” you order, as you smirk at Robin in retaliation.
The employee and his co-workers get to work into your orders and the two of you paid. Robin picks a table in the middle of the room, where everyone can see the two of you chilling in a dessert cafe.
“What’s next, going to the Batburger place” you teased as one the employees shyly placed your order on the table.
“Nah, been there many times at the batmobile with Batman” as Robin scoops up a spoon of ice cream into his mouth.
“Must been a sight to see the actually batmobile within the drive through with the bat” you bring up your two pointer fingers up to head to mimic the infamous cowl, chains Robin to laugh at your antics.
All of the sudden, a inexperience robber with a a knife came into the cafe.
“HAND IT OVER!” Threaten the robber using the knife, with the other hand holding a sack
He then notice nobody was screaming in fear and realized the middle table of the two heroes just looking him lately while eating their parfait.
The robber started nervously, especially under Robin’s gaze, with his Cheshire smile as he slowly continuing eating his parfait while you just give a tight lipped smile.
“I t-think I got the w-rrong place” stammer the defeated robber
“Yeah, this is the wrong place” replied Robin as he continued eating his parfait.
“Umm..I… g-give this too-o you” The robber handed you the sack and the knife while in a stuttered mess.
“And I’ll give this to you” Robin stated as he handcuffed the robber, while you got a chair for the guy to sit, while waiting for GPD.
You got up to order a box of a dozen justice theme pastries for the others and some for yourself. You give a Superman theme donut to Robin and an ordinary donut for the robber.
The robber ate the donut in embarrassment as he failed his plan on his easy target and only to have sweets with the Boy Wonder and a girl just absentmindedly eating her sweet treat as nothing had happen.

Supermarket Scare
This idea is originally from @rosenclaws and I HAD to write it. (They actually did turn it into a fic which is here) I took the idea, changed a few things (Logan is boy dad in this one I fear), and idk I guess this is what came out of it lmfao
Tumblr media
Pairing: Logan Howlett x Reader
Tropes: MILF reader <3
Warnings: None that I know of
Other tags: Logan who is GREAT with kids, but doesn’t know it, extra dramatic backstory that may not be legally accurate bc I said so
Background: You’re raising your adopted son, Arlo, on your own. Wade, Al, and Logan live down the hall from you.
Description: While shopping at the grocery store, you don’t realize that Arlo has let go of the shopping cart. When you look down to talk to him, you realize that he’s gone. Thank god for Wade’s new roommate.
“Can we get some of those little donuts?” Arlo asked, his small hand gripping the shopping cart as you walked down the bread aisle. He knew the rule, if he wanted to walk instead of riding in the cart, he had to hold onto the cart.
“Sure,” you hummed, “What kind? The chocolate ones or the white powdered ones?” You asked.
“The white ones,” he decided. “They’re yummy.”
“White ones it is,” you nodded, stopping the cart in front of the bread you needed. Turning away, you reached up and grabbed a loaf of bread. “You wanna pick out some cereal while we’re here too?” You asked, turning back to the cart, only to find that Arlo was gone.
Looking down the aisle, he was nowhere to be seen.
================
Logan stood on one side of the aisle, observing the different kinds of granola bars. Why were there so many goddamn flavors anyway? His focus was drawn away from the boxes on the shelves when he felt a tug on his pants.
Looking down, he saw a young boy with tears falling down his cheeks.
“Uh,” Logan froze, not sure how to interact with a child. “Hi.”
“I can’t find my mama,” the boy cried, his tears coming down harder.
“What does she look like?” He asked, kneeling down so he was closer to the kid’s height.
The boy only cried in response, clearly scared and missing his mom.
“Alright,” he replied, looking around as he stood up and tried to decide what to do. “Let’s go to the front of the store. Then they can find your mom, okay?”
The boy nodded, letting go of Logan’s pants to hold out both arms at the man. Grabby hands. How could anyone say no to that?
Logan sighed, debating it in his head before leaning down and scooping the boy into his arms. As he walked to the front of the store, the boy’s tears slowed until they eventually came to a stop. The boy laid his head down on Logan’s shoulder while one of his hands held an iron grip on the front of Logan’s flannel.
“Excuse me,” Logan spoke, walking up to the customer service desk.
“How can I help you?” The woman at the desk asked.
“He can’t find his mom,” Logan explained, nodding towards the boy in his arms.
“Let me make an announcement,” the worker gave the boy a sympathetic smile. She picked up a phone from the counter, putting it up to her ear and hitting a few buttons on the keypad. “Attention shoppers, we have a lost little boy at the customer service desk. If he is your child, please come pick him up.” After the announcement was made, she hung the phone up.
“Alright, kid,” Logan said. “Now you just gotta wait for your mom to come get you.”
“I’m Cherie,” the worker spoke softly to the boy. “You wanna stay here with me while we wait on your mom?” She offered, holding out her hands.
Logan moved to pull the child away from him and hand him to Cherie, but Arlo began to cry again. His grip on Logan’s flannel tightened.
“C’mon kid, you gotta let go,” Logan encouraged.
The boy cried harder, bawling as he tried to desperately stay in Logan’s arms.
“It’s alright, angel,” Cherie hushed. Based on her tone, Logan could tell that this woman had certainly dealt with kids before. She was definitely a better person to watch the boy temporarily, but kids want what they want.
“Okay, okay,” Logan relented, holding the boy close to his chest again. “I’ll stay, just stop crying. You don’t have to cry.” He looked to the worker, “I’ll stay with him ‘til his mom gets here.”
Despite being secure in Logan’s arms again, the tears didn’t stop.
“Shhh,” Logan attempted, gently swaying with the boy in his arms. He wasn’t sure what he was doing, but he’d seen mothers do it with their babies before.
    The tears just kept coming.
Logan looked around, spotting a small display of stuffed animals. He reached out with one hand, grabbing the first one he could and holding it up in front of the boy.
“Look at this,” he redirected the boy’s attention, shaking the toy slightly.
Sniffling a few times, the boy in his arms slowly stopped crying. He used his free hand to grab the animal, pulling it to his chest.
“Fox,” he said simply, looking at the orange and white stuffie in his arm. “I like foxes. Thanks.” His voice was barely more than a whisper.
“Yeah, it’s a fox. You’re welcome,” Logan nodded, just happy that he had made the kid stop crying. With his free hand, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a few dollars. “For the fox,” he commented to the worker, who just smiled and nodded.
Logan moved to sit down on a bench in the customer service area. As expected, the boy refused to move from his lap. So, there they sat. Logan, a mutant, and on his lap, a lost kid holding a stuffed fox. Quite the pair.
================
“Oh thank god!” You exclaimed as you walked into the customer service area. “Arlo!”
“Mama!” Arlo exclaimed from where he sat on a man’s lap.
“Told you she’d be here,” the man said as he helped Arlo down from his lap. He looked familiar, but you were more concerned about Arlo.
The moment his feet hit the ground, Arlo was running towards you with his arms reaching out.
As he reached you, you dropped to one knee so you could wrap your arms around him. Your arms held him tightly to your chest.
“Honey, I’m so glad you’re okay. I was so worried,” you breathed out, closing your now teary eyes as you held him.
“I’m sorry,” he said softly, beginning to cry as you held him.
“Hey, it’s alright, sweetheart,” you assured, pulling away enough so you could see each other’s faces. “You’re not in trouble. Just promise me you won’t run off like that ever again.”
“I promise,” he nodded, leaning back in to cling to you.
You slowly stood, picking Arlo up as you did so.
“Thank you so much,” you spoke to the man that had been with Arlo, who was now standing. Now that you got a good look at him, you knew why you recognized him. “Wait, you’re Wade’s roommate, aren’t you?” You asked.
Logan gives you a strange look, so you continue talking.
“We live down the hall,” you explained. “Arlo loves talking Wade’s ear off whenever we run into each other.”
“Probably because they’re on the same learning level,” Logan joked. He held out a hand for you to shake as he introduced himself. “Logan.”
You supported Arlo on your hip as you took his hand in yours. As you shook his hand, you gave him your name in return.
“And, of course, you’ve met Arlo,” you added, letting go of his (very warm, very large) hand and squeezing the boy in your arms for emphasis.
“Arlo,” Logan smiled slightly at the boy. He hadn’t expected the little munchkin to grow on him so quickly, yet here he was.
    “I knew you,” Arlo stated.
“You knew it was Logan?” You asked.
“I knew he was Wade’s friend,” he smiled proudly. “The big guy with kitty ears,” he clarified, pointing to Logan’s hair and giggling.
“Kitty ears?” Logan asked, raising a brow. “I’ve never gotten that before.”
“I like them,” Arlo hummed happily. “They look like fox ears too,” he observed, holding up the stuffed fox with both hands.
Logan let out a breathy chuckle, tucking his hands in his pockets.
“Thank you again,” you told Logan. “I really owe you big time,” you smiled. “It’s just me and Arlo, I don’t know what I would’ve done if something happened.”
“No need,” Logan shook his head. Now that he’d learned it was just you and Arlo, he decided to try and flirt with you. “He’s a nice kid. And he’s got a very nice mom,” Logan gave you a small grin, which came across as more of a smirk.
You aren’t sure how to react. It wasn’t like you had guys lining up to date you. Most of them didn’t want to flirt with a single mom. You weren’t even sure if he was flirting. What could you say? You were a little out of practice.
“At least let me make you dinner,”  you offered. You tried not to sound too hopeful, but you were almost positive that you’d failed.
“Pretty please,” Arlo chimed in, sticking out his bottom lip and giving Logan his most convincing puppy dog eyes.
“Well when you put it like that,” Logan smiled, reaching a hand out to ruffle Arlo’s hair, which earned him a giggle. “I’d love to.”
“If tomorrow night works for you, we don’t have anything going on,” you suggested.
    “Sure,” Logan nodded. “I’m free.”
After deciding on a time, you caught a glance of your watch and realized you had to get Arlo to home to make dinner tonight.
“We should get home, gotta finish shopping and get this little gremlin fed,” you chuckled. “Arlo, tell Logan goodbye.”
“Bye!” Arlo gave Logan a big grin. “We can play when you come over tomorrow.”
“Sounds fun,” Logan nodded, smiling at Arlo.
“We’ll see you tomorrow,” you smiled. “And feel free to stop by anytime,” you added as you started to walk away.
================
“Mama! There’s someone at the door! I bet it’s Logan,” Arlo exclaimed, running into the kitchen, where you were working on finishing dinner.
“Okay, okay,” you chuckled, making sure nothing would burn as you wiped your hands off on a towel and headed to the door with Arlo. You checked the peephole, confirming that it was Logan, before opening the door.
You and Logan didn’t have a chance to speak before Arlo was jumping up and down.
“Logan!” He grinned, practically vibrating with excitement. He held both hands out for Logan.
“Hey, bub,” Logan greeted, picking Arlo up into his arms with a small ‘woosh’ sound. He then turned his attention to you, smiling softly.
“I’m just finishing up dinner,” you hummed, stepping aside and letting Logan in. You shut the door behind him as he toed off his shoes neatly next to the door.
“Take your time,” Logan replied, not wanting you to feel pressured.
“That means we can go play in the living room,” Arlo giggled. “Me and Fink were just playing in there.”
“Fink?” Logan raised a brow. What the hell was a Fink?
“Yeah,” he nodded. “The fox you got me. His name is Fink.”
“Oh,” Logan chuckled softly. “We can go play with Fink before dinner as long as it’s alright with your mom.”
“Please mama,” Arlo looked at you, giving you his brightest smile. “Can me and Logan go play while you cook?”
“You can,” you laughed softly at Arlo’s excitement. “Play nice, okay?”
“I will!” He promised, wriggling around until Logan put him down. He grabbed the man’s hand, tugging on it. “C’mon, c’mon, I wanna show you my toys.”
You and Logan shared an amused look before Logan let Arlo drag him off to your living room.
================
“Hey, you two, dinner’s rea-,” you stopped mid sentence as you walked into the living room. You hadn’t expected the scene in front of you.
Logan sat on the floor with Arlo, who’s hair was now pulled up into two tufts on top of his head.
“Look mama!” Arlo spoke proudly. “I asked Logan to make us match! Do we look cool?”
“You look very cool, sweetheart,” you chuckled softly. “You’re both very handsome. But even cool guys have to eat dinner.”
“Yeah, to be big and strong,” Arlo nodded, hopping up from the floor and rushing off to the table.
Logan stood up from the floor, groaning softly.
“Didn’t know you were a hairdresser,” you joked as he began following you to the table as well.
“Well when he gives me those big puppy eyes, I can’t say no,” Logan defended.
“You’ve got me there,” you chuckled softly. “You can go sit at the table, I’ll bring in dinner.”
================
Dinner with Logan felt good. Domestic. Arlo yapped about his current favorite show while you and Logan chuckled. As much as you loved Arlo, you did want to talk to Logan without having every other sentence be about Nubs the pooba boy from a Star Wars show Arlo was obsessed with.
“Alright, bud, it’s time to head to bed,” you hummed to Arlo. After dinner, the three of you had stayed at the table talking, and now it was time for him to get some sleep.
“Do I have to?” Arlo frowned. “I wanna stay up and play with Logan some more.”
“Listen to your mom,” Logan replied before you could. “If you go to bed now, we can play another time. Deal?”
“Deal,” Arlo nodded, accepting Logan’s offer. He climbed out of his chair and walked off in the direction of his room.
“If you wanna wait in the living room, I’ll be back out after I get him down,” you told Logan as you stood.
Logan gave you a nod before you walked off after Arlo to help him get ready for bed.
“I like Logan,” Arlo stated as you stepped into his room. “He’s fun.”
You chuckled softly, getting into Arlo’s dresser to pull out a couple pairs of his favorite pajamas. One was yellow and covered in dinosaurs, while the other was light blue with green stripes.
“Which pajamas do you wanna wear tonight?” You asked, holding up both pairs for him to pick from.
    “Dinosaurs!” He grinned.
“Dinosaurs it is,” you nodded, putting the other pajamas back in the drawer for another night.
Once Arlo was changed into his pajamas, you helped him brush his teeth. The two of you went back into his room so that he could lay down.
“Wait!” Arlo gasped before he could climb into bed. “I have to go get Fink and tell Logan goodnight.”
Of course he had to tell Logan goodnight. What had you been thinking?
================
“Logan!” Arlo giggled as he ran into the living room. Logan was sitting on the couch as he waited for you to come back.
“I thought you were going to bed,” Logan chuckled at Arlo’s energy.
“Had to come get Fink,” Arlo answered, grabbing the stuffed fox from where he’d left it on a chair before dinner. “And I wanted to tell you goodnight,” he smiled, climbing on the couch next to Logan and wrapping his arms around the man to the best of his abilities.
Logan was surprised, to say the least. It wasn’t exactly a regular occurrence for kids to come up and hug him. After a split second of shock, he wrapped both arms around Arlo and gave him a soft squeeze.
“G’night,” he hummed before letting go of Arlo.
“Goodnight,” Arlo grinned, planting a kiss on Logan’s cheek before hopping up and running back to his room where you were waiting on him.
“You ready to go to sleep now?” You asked as he hopped up on the bed.
“Yep!” He nodded, crawling under his blankets.
As he got settled, you leaned over and flicked on his night light. Then, tucked him into bed, smiling as he wiggled around to get comfortable.
“Do you think we can get ice cream with Logan and Wade one day?” Arlo asked hopefully.
“We’ll see, sweetie,” you chuckled, leaning down to press a kiss to his forehead.
“Goodnight, mama,” he smiled softly at you, “I love you.”
“Night, bud. I love you,” you replied, standing from the bed and heading for the door. “Sleep tight,” you added, flicking the lightswitch and leaving his room, pulling the door closed as you did.
Now that he was in bed, you made your way back to the living room.
“He’s in bed,” you spoke as you entered the room. “He’ll be out in a few minutes. That kid can fall asleep anywhere,” you chuckled softly, plopping down on the couch next to Logan. You left a little bit of space between the two of you, not wanting to make things weird.
“It must be nice,” Logan joked, an amused breath leaving his nose.
“One time I found him asleep halfway through using the bathroom. He had his head leaned over against the toilet paper roll,” you laughed at the memory.
“Jesus,” Logan laughed along with you. “He must keep you on your toes.”
“You have no idea,” you chuckled, pulling one leg up onto the couch so you could face Logan as you talked. “He’s got enough energy for about a dozen kids. But when he’s out, he sleeps like the dead.”
“He definitely has the energy,” Logan agreed. “But he seems like a good kid.”
“He is,” you smiled proudly. “He’s a great kid. One of the sweetest kids I know. Maybe I just think that because I’m biased,” you joked.
“I don’t think so,” Logan smiled. “He’s sweet. When he and I were playing earlier while you cooked, he was always offering to share whatever toy he had. Not a lot of kids are offering to share things.”
“I try my best with him. I wasn’t sure if I was ready to be a mom, but then Arlo came along, and I dunno, it was just, it was right,” you spoke fondly.
“It can’t be easy being a single mother,” Logan started, “You’re doin’ great. He’s lucky to have you.”
“Thank you,” you said softly. Nobody had ever told you anything like that before. You weren’t really sure how to react. “I hadn’t really expected to be a single mom, but I don’t have any regrets. I adopted him when he was just a baby, but that’s a story for another time.”
“I didn’t realize,” Logan replied. “He’s even luckier to have you than I thought, then.”
You smiled at Logan, feeling so grateful that the mishap at the supermarket had happened. You enjoyed having him around.
=================
“Tonight was nice,” you told Logan as you walked him to the door. It was getting late, and you had to be up the next morning.
Logan put his shoes on while you opened the door.
“I had a good time,” Logan smiled slightly at you as he stood.
You both stepped into the hallway, and you pulled the door most of the way around behind you.
“Thank you again, for yesterday,” you hummed, leaning against the wall next to your door.
“No, thank you,” he replied, “For dinner. It’s not often I get a home cooked meal.”
“Well, feel free to come by for more anytime,” you smiled up at him, “Even if it’s just chicken nuggets and mac n cheese, you’re more than welcome to join us.”
Logan chuckled softly, nodding at your invitation.
“I’d say that you two are welcome to drop by Wade and I’s place, but that is not fit for children,” he joked.
You laughed, unable to help yourself. Joking with Logan felt so natural.
“Well,” Logan spoke again. “I should get out of your hair, but I’ll see ya around, yeah?” He tried not to sound too hopeful.
“Yeah, I’ll see you around,” you nodded in response.
Logan hesitated for a fraction of a second before leaning in and placing a barely there kiss on your cheek.
“I’d really like to see you again sometime. As a date,” he admitted. “I understand that dating is more difficult when you have a kid because you have to consider Arlo when you make decisions, but I’d like to see where this goes.” He couldn’t remember the last time he’d asked someone else, and all he could do was pray he wasn’t making a fool of himself.
“I would love that, Logan,” you grinned. He was the first man to ever consider Arlo when it came to dating you. He seemed like the type of man to know that you had to put Arlo first. “Arlo is having a sleepover at my sister’s with his cousins this weekend. Maybe we could get dinner then? Just the two of us this time.”
“That sounds great,” Logan nodded, trying and failing to fight off a smile. He felt like a goddamn blushing school boy. “I’ll come by at seven so we can go to dinner.”
“Perfect,” you smiled. You leaned up, placing a quick peck on his lips. “I can’t wait.”
Logan was shocked that you’d kissed him, but he certainly wasn’t complaining. He opened his mouth to speak, but was interrupted by a voice from inside your apartment.
“Mama?” Arlo called out for you from his room. He must’ve had a nightmare or want a glass of water.
“Duty calls,” you joked. “Goodnight Logan,” you hummed, stepping back into your apartment.
“Night,” he replied, giving you a small nod as you shut the apartment door to go check on Arlo.
After the door was shut, Logan realized he was smiling like an absolute idiot. He hadn’t been this excited for a date since…. He couldn’t actually remember.
Turning on his heel, he headed down the hallway back to Wade’s. He couldn’t stop smiling.
Walking into the apartment, he groaned as he saw Wade laying on the couch as if he had been waiting for Logan to get back.
“Stop looking at me like that,” he huffed, shutting the door behind him.
“Like what, peanut?” Wade shrugged. “I just wanna know how things went with the hot milf down the hall.”
“Fuck off,” Logan rolled his eyes, dropping his keys on the entry table and walking off to go to bed.
“I’ll take that as ‘It went great, Wade, you officially have a nephew now’. Is that about right?” He called after Logan.
Logan ignored Wade, shaking his head. He had to admit, though, things had gone great with the hot milf down the hall. And it would only get better.

Ruggie’s Birthday Celebration
Ruggie Bucchi was a guy who didn’t exactly love attention. Sure, he had his moments of flair, but when it came to his birthday, he preferred keeping things low-key. He was a creature of comfort and practicality—nothing too extravagant, nothing too flashy. He’d much rather have a quiet day with food and maybe a little bit of fun with his friends, not the fuss of a big celebration.
But this year, you had different plans. You knew how Ruggie worked: he’d never ask for anything, always too humble to request the things he secretly wanted. And that’s exactly why you wanted to surprise him with something special—something that would make him feel appreciated without making him uncomfortable.
You’d set up a small, cozy picnic outside under the shade of a tree, surrounded by soft blankets, pillows, and plenty of food. Ruggie was always hungry, so you made sure to have all his favorites: tacos, sandwiches, chips, and of course, a giant plate of his beloved donuts. To top it off, you’d even brought along a homemade birthday cake decorated with a simple but playful lion motif.
Ruggie, true to form, was still suspicious when you called him over to the picnic spot. “Hey, Yuu, what’s all this about?” he asked, his tone a little wary. “You didn’t go and make me a big fancy party, did you?”
You grinned, shaking your head. “Not at all. I know you don’t like all that attention. But I figured you’d appreciate a quiet celebration.”
He gave you a skeptical look, but it softened when he saw the spread. His golden eyes lit up as he spotted the food. “Hold on, you’ve got my favorite donuts here! And—wait—did you make this cake?”
You chuckled and nodded. “Yep. It’s your special day, Ruggie. I wanted to make sure you got everything you love.”
For a moment, Ruggie was speechless, his eyes scanning the spread with a kind of awe. It wasn’t like him to show vulnerability like this, but there was something undeniably touched in his expression. “Yuu... you really outdid yourself. This looks perfect.”
He plopped down onto one of the blankets, rubbing his stomach. “You know me too well. I don’t need all the bells and whistles, just good food and good company. This is exactly what I wanted.”
You sat down beside him, handing him a plate loaded with food, and watched as he dug in eagerly. Ruggie’s appetite was legendary, but there was something endearing about the way he savored every bite, as if this simple gesture of kindness was something truly precious to him.
After a while, you handed him a small gift—nothing extravagant, just a small box wrapped with care. “Here’s something else, too,” you said with a grin.
He raised an eyebrow but opened it anyway. Inside was a pair of custom-made gloves—leather, sturdy, and designed for someone always on the move, like Ruggie. “I know you’re always running around and helping out, so I thought you might like these.”
His eyes softened, and for a brief moment, the usual smirk on his face faded into something more sincere. “You really do pay attention, huh?” he muttered, his voice a little quieter. “I... I really like these. Thanks, Yuu.”
“Of course,” you replied, giving him a playful nudge. “You’re always looking out for everyone else, so it’s time someone looked out for you.”
Ruggie grinned, the familiar cocky attitude returning. “Well, I can’t argue with that. I guess you’re not so bad after all.” He nudged you back, playfully. “I’m lucky to have you as a friend.”
As the evening wore on, you and Ruggie spent the time chatting, laughing, and even joking around about some of his more “questionable” adventures. The sun began to set, casting a warm golden glow over the two of you, and the atmosphere was relaxed and easy. It wasn’t the grand party that most people would have expected for a birthday, but it was perfect in its own way. Ruggie was happy, comfortable, and surrounded by the things that mattered most—good food, good company, and a little bit of fun.
As the night wound down, Ruggie leaned back against the tree, sighing contentedly. “You know, Yuu, this is the best birthday I’ve had in a long time. Thanks for taking the time to do this.”
You smiled, your heart feeling light. “I’m glad you liked it. You deserve it, Ruggie.”
And with that, you both spent the rest of the evening under the stars, sharing a peaceful moment of contentment. Ruggie might have been a little grumpy about the attention at first, but deep down, you knew he appreciated the thought and care you’d put into making his birthday just right.

CHAPTER TWO . . . nobody else
in which the lonely hybe barista catches the eye of popular idol jung hoseok, in turn changing her life forever.
previous next masterlist wattpad
Tumblr media Tumblr media
a few weeks passed since the boy with the smiling eyes noticed you.
it had been a small moment, one that most people would probably find insignificant. just a friendly customer on a particularly hard day. but your quiet life made moments like that stand out.
most of the people you served ordered their drinks. some smiled politely, but for the most part, they rushed through, on phone calls or caught up with staff.
you, of course, didn't mind. you understood they lived busy lives.
but hoseok never avoided your gaze. he always smiled. he always bowed. and he never brushed past you like you were just another barista behind the counter.
the day, again, was like any other. long, tiresome, and cold.
you finished university, rushed through the streets of seoul, and made it just on time for your afternoon shift. the customers were particularly loud, some occasion or event happening somewhere in the building, so you were glad to finally be nearing closing.
your coworkers had already left for home, you had offered to stay behind and finish any work. it was quiet, the peaceful kind after a hectic day, the only sounds coming from the hum of the coffee machines and clinks of dishes as you stacked them away.
you were cleaning behind the counter, boxing leftover cookies, when the cafeteria door suddenly swung open. you looked up, startled. hoseok rushed toward the counter, a little breathless, his cheeks flushed.
he pushed his beanie tighter, trying to catch his breath. "am i too late?" he asked.
you blinked, still holding the empty box.
"depends," you said slowly. "what are you after?"
"i saw some donuts earlier. i’ve been craving them all day," he groaned, eyes dreamy, until he paused, focus shifting to the empty cake display. "please don't tell me they're all gone."
a small smile made its way onto your face before you glanced back at the already boxed goods.
"there's two left."
his face face lit up, a wide smile taking over his cheeks. he quickly pulled his wallet from his back pocket.
"no coffee today?" you questioned, placing the boxes on the counter.
"i came in this morning," he said. “i noticed you weren't here."
you felt your breath catch in your throat. were you silly enough to believe he'd been looking for you? or were you just someone he was used to seeing now?
"tuesdays are for university," you explained, groaning a little at the thought of the morning's lecture.
hoseok laughed. "you don't enjoy it?"
you gave him a small sarcastic smile. "would you enjoy a lecture taught by someone who thinks they know more about art than anyone else?"
eyebrows raised, his posture now more relaxed, he asked, "you're an artist then?"
you nodded. "i suppose. can i say that before i've graduated?"
hoseok smiled, amused, “if you can draw anything better than i can then i believe so"
"what about you then?" you asked curiously.
hoseok shrugged, still smiling, "a stick man at best"
you laughed softly, shaking your head in disbelief. "at least you're honest"
before he could speak again, the door opened with an abrupt bang. another boy, about hoseok's age, you assumed, hurried through the tables.
"hyung!" he called, his footsteps echoing off the walls. "i’ve been looking for you for hours." he panted dramatically. "we need you in the practice room."
you noticed his tattooed hand as he grasped hoseok's shoulder, pulling him away from the counter.
hoseok looked back at you, lips parted like he wanted to say more, but in the end, just smiled apologetically.
“thank you for the donuts," he said, bowing slightly. "see you soon."
you watched as they disappeared out of the room, the door closing shut behind them. you got back to work, the cafeteria now felt too big and empty, the remains of your conversation still hanging in the air.
he must be a dancer you thought to yourself. it made sense thinking about it now, he looked exactly the type who would be. the way he laughed and showed his feelings so openly. you could imagine how much emotion he put into his dancing.
and the other boy who called him hyung, they must be close enough to have that relationship. was he also a dancer on his team? or maybe an idol you’d heard of but never seen?
for once, in all the time you’d been working in hybe, you were curious about the people you served.

“Can I have three powdered donuts, please?” She asked sweetly, the worker almost beaming at the sweet face ready to serve her quickly.
“Right away miss.” He bowed, rushing to put together the order.
The quaint shop was seemingly empty, but she couldn’t help but notice how homey the decor was, warm tones with odd accents here and there to make the place more inviting, magazines and books littering some of the tables making it look lived in. She found herself quite comfortable in the shop, that was until she heard the bell chime behind her, the clerk parking up to see the new customer while she idly avoided turning to face the newcomer.
“Can I help you sir? "The older male asked sweetly.
“Just give me her bill please.” The deep voice rumbled behind her, his body coming up to almost pressing against her before he spoke again. “Can you not run off like that again?”
“Can you stop letting women flirt with you?” She snarked still not turning to face the man, instead setting her eyes on scanning the variety of candy for sale in the small shop.
“Here you go, miss.” The clerk smiled, bringing her the box of sweets and taking her partner’s card to ring up the bill.
“She wasn’t flirting!” Yunho protested, earning an eyeroll from his girlfriend who turned on her heel to face him, slipping a hand into his pocket to grab the spare cash before heading over to the tip jar.
“Here sir, have a wonderful day.” She yet again offered a sweet smile as she dropped the large wad of money into the tip jar and grabbed the card after the transaction was completed. She turned to her lover who was watching her with a shocked face before yet again turning on her hell, only this time heading to the car instead.
“You sure do have your hands full with that one.” The clerk commented as he came to stand near Yunho to hand him back the large sum of money.
“Keep it, she knows a safe place when she sees one. She wouldn’t have left that money if she didn’t see value in your shop.” Yunho sighed, making a mental note of the shop’s name so he knew where to check next time she ran off.
“A sweet face and fierce personality is a dangerous combination.” the clerk said, placing a wrinkled hand onto Yunho’s shoulder with a wry smile.
“Yea.. Wish me luck.” Yunho said with an airy chuckle at the end before walking to his car quickly to not leave his lover waiting. Heading to his sleek black car he climbed into the driver side, instead of starting the car though he looked over at her with exasperated eyes.
She was eating a donut while scrolling through her phone, not bothering to clean up the sprinkled powdered sugar all over the seat of the car.
“Can we talk about this please?” He sighed, watching her sip on her drink she had gotten on their date to wash down the donut.
“She was flirting with you.”
“No she wasn’t.”
“She literally touched your hair.”
“I had food in it because SOMEONE threw a piece of bread at me.”
“She literally called me immature.”
“Well you’re acting like it right now love.”
“She bad mouthed your girlfriend and you’re agreeing with her?”
“You didn’t even give me a chance to say anything before you took off.”
“You smiled at the comment.”
“Sarcastically. I was about to ask for a new waiter, can you calm down and stop stress eating now. I know you’re feeling bad and that you think you’re overreacting, you’re not, your feelings are valid and how you handle those feelings is valid as well. I’m not upset, I just wanted you to hear what actually happened before you got too hurt by your own mind. I love you and everything about you, even how jealous you get.”
“So I dirtied your car up for nothing.” She said quietly looking up at him with watery eyes as guilt hit her. She had purposefully gone out of her way to break his no eating in his car rule, to try and upset him. Only for him to be the perfect boyfriend he always is.
“What do you mean?” He asked confusedly, tilting his head slightly, almost resembling a puppy.
“You don’t like people eating in your car, that’s why I got the messy donuts to get you as upset as I was. It’s petty and ridiculous. I'm sorry. I’ll clean it the second we get home.” She rushed out an explanation, hurrying to put away the trash.
“Now hold on.” He said almost sounding offended as he stared at her incredulously. She froze in her actions before looking at him wide eyed. “That rule never applied to you, and it never will. And when we get home, you’re going to sit your pretty butt right there and I will carry you inside, we will have a nice warm bath and I’ll do your skin care and your night routine with you, then we will snuggled up in our warm bed and handle the mess tomorrow first thing in the morning. Let me show you how much I love my princess.” He grinned, starting the car and quickly taking off before she had the chance to protest.
He’d give her the princess treatment whether she wanted it or not.

'Mistletoe' Leon Kennedy x Gender Neutral! Reader
Merry Christmas Eve ;) Cop!Leon x Receptionist!Reader. AU where there's no virus. Silly little fic, awkward flirting, hallmark vibes, inexperienced Leon, SFW, love confession, coworkers to lovers, first kiss!
Since becoming an officer at the Police Department in Raccoon City, Leon's unfortunately lost contact with most of his friends from his hometown, the long-distance seeming to have tarnished the friendships. Evidently, he found himself eager to pursue others in a platonic manner within Raccoon City, striving to help out his colleagues as much as he possibly could. All the way from day one of being stationed there, to the present day - where he's no longer perceived as a mere rookie to the full extent anymore. He's the type of guy who'll stay back an extra hour or two to finish up a report on behalf of a colleague, to let them take the last of the donuts from the box brought in by the Lieutenant. Not only is this behavior applicable to the festive season, but Leon is rather like this all days of the year, naturally being generous and just loving giving. This kindhearted nature of his has winded up in him spending the late evening of Christmas Eve in the police station, despite the fact he'd much rather be back in his dingy apartment watching Jingle All The Way for the umpteenth time this month. There's not a single other officer around, his sigh of exhaustion echoing throughout the office as he absentmindedly chews on the tip of his pencil, having spent most of the evening doodling. It's confusing to him, the reason why an officer was needed to stay overtime on this particular night, yet he clearly volunteered - as that's what left him wound up here. Even if he were to be back home right now, it's not like he'd be sharing the Christmas spirit with anything other than an old box television and a pizza from whatever takeout that's open. The chances of anywhere being open are pretty slim, though, so that tarnishes that fantasy. Leon had a few people that he could spend the evening with, but they all happen to be thousands of miles away and all likely busy with their respective partners. Huffing, his lips part and he pulls them away from the pencil, leaning back in his chair and gazing up blankly at the ceiling - at least being at work gives him something to do tonight. Otherwise he'd be cooped up, basking in his own loneliness that coms with not having any single friends free on Christmas Eve. Ah, who is he kidding? There's no need to get so melodramatic and worked up on the day before Christmas, after all, it's not like he's entirely alone at the station.
Fingertips pressing along diligently on the keyboard, the sound of clicking acts as a rhythmic backdrop to the otherwise silent reception of the somewhat loomingly large building. Shaking your head, you tentatively withdraw your hands and avert your attention away from the monitor, foot tapping along on the cold floor, a sense of expectancy resonating from within you. But for what? Palms reaching for the edge of the desk, you use it as leverage to push your office chair back, standing up from behind the desk and taking a moment to steady yourself back on your feet. They've gone overload with the decorations this year, tinsel of all different shades wrapped around banisters in swivels, fake snowflakes glued onto the glass of each door and window. Even going as far to make a customized Christmas mixtape which usually plays faintly from the boombox settled upon your front desk, the familiar sounds having previously been turned off by you a while ago. Some late night call was expected, which is why you're tasked with the responsibility of staying back a couple of extra hours, not to go home until you instigate the phone call. Which seems to not want to ring anytime soon, your eyes narrowing with a sense of resentment to the plastic landline. A familiar blonde appears in your peripheral vision, walking hesitantly along until he's finally in your line of view, the signature boyish grin causing his eyes to squint the slightest bit. The addressing of your name followed by, "Got sick of the music, huh?" As he motions towards the silent boombox, to which you respond with a knowing eye roll, having gotten bored of the same songs playing on the repeat about five hours ago. "Yup." A nod of the head as you look Leon up and down, eyebrow quirked with mild intrigue. "How come you're here still? Shouldn't you be with your girlfriend?" A question of no ill-intent, just something to keep the conversation going, but Leon responds a little too quickly. "I don't have a girlfriend. Or any partner." Seems like he's pretty adamant on the fact that he's single, and you presume it's just to insinuate that that's the reason he stays late so often, not to stay away from a neglected partner, or something. Maybe he's embarrassed. Feeling for the poor guy, you shake your head reassuringly. "Yeah, me neithe-." "I know."
Now a little puzzled towards the nature of this interaction, your brows furrow and you look up at him from beneath your eyelashes, not exactly certain whether he's flirting with you or not. By the softness of those blue eyes of his, you figure that he's merely clueless as to how his words cold be interpreted, a gentle expression on his face. "You were supposed to go back home to see your family for Christmas. But since you had to stay late tonight, that won't be happening, yeah?" A sympathetic head tilt as he questions you, his hand lightly scratching near one of the moles on his neck, beside his Adam's Apple. It's like he knows everything about you, even paying full attention to your half-asleep ramblings early in the morning when you seem to hate everything. Refers back to things you've mentioned only briefly in passing, having been so attentive to everyone who he works with. Especially you. "I don't see how this is any of your business." The second you retort with such a snark, you regret it immediately, just struggling with being overworked and tired, cursing softly to yourself beneath your breath. His eyes widen and he shakes his head adamantly. "No I- I wasn't judging you for it, or anything, I promise. I'm in the same situation." Great, now he's eyeing you like a hurt puppy, guilt etched within the downturn of the corners of his lips, as if he's the one who should be sorry in this conversation. In a feeble attempt to salvage his opinion of you, you blurt out an oddly intimate-sounding suggestion. "Do you want to spend it together?" OK. There's a possibility that he can interpret your wording platonically, so as to not unmask the full truth of the fact that you've had a crush on him since he first joined, which has only built up throughout the passing of the months. The apples above those prominent cheekbones of his light up as bright as a Christmas tree, stifling a noise of surprise in the back of his throat. A silent nod of acceptance to your offer. Until he's bouncing on the heels of his feet excitedly, repeatedly nodding. "Oh are you sure? I'd love that. That's really nice." Blabbering on about how sweet you are to do this for him, now that he won't have to be alone and the two of you can spend the festivity together. Together. Usually when two people spend Christmas together alone, they're a couple.
As that realization dawns upon yourself, it seems to with Leon as well, his eyes widening as his lips part as if to say something else - however nothing comes out. Desperate to shift the conversation, he pulls out a Christmas card penned for you specifically, passing it into your possession in an abnormally jittery manner. Peeling back the envelope, you tug it out and see the grapohlogy of a kitten wearing a Santa hat, the lettering "Merry Christmas to a purr-fect coworker!" beneath it. Man, he really hopes you don't find him creepy for this, but it was the best card he could find and he personally thinks it's quite cute, despite being silly. Your name within the card is followed by "I hope you have a very merry Christmas. Thank you for always being so patient with me in the mornings when I'm still half-asleep. You're the best person for the job of receptionist here, and I'm so happy we work together. Love, Leon :) x" Ok, wow. Since Christmas is the time to be earnest with one another, Leon figures that the opportunity is right, and he stomachs the flutter of anxiety pooling in his stomach. Knowing how cheesy this all is, he plucks one of the mistletoe from the set of decorations on the desk, and dangles it above the two of you, well aware of the fact that he'll never live this down. Seems like the Christmas Spirit is really getting to him, huh? Attention drawn towards your lips, his eyes go half-lidded somewhat, in a daze as his heartbeat thuds in his ears, so hard in his chest that he's almost shaking. "I've bailed on telling you so many times, and if you reject me now then we don't have to spend Christmas together. But I can't do this anymore." A gentle breath of your name ghosting from his mouth. "Shit, I'm just realizing how cringe this is in real life. Um. Anyways, so uhhhh. It'd be really cool if I could be your boyfriend, 'cause I've had feelings for you for a long while now." Leon confesses with such quietness in his voice, it's as if he's in a confession booth, like he's atoning for a sin. Like he doesn't deserve to have feelings for you, like you're too good for him. "Because it's Christmas, you deserve the truth. I like you. Very much." Never has he felt like this before with anyone, having assumed romance just wasn't for him.
Swallowing the last wave of nerves, he whimpers. "Ah, usually people kiss under mistletoe, but if you don't want that or don't feel the same then that's cool-" Reaching up and cupping his warm face in your hands, you lean in and brush your lips against his, and he freezes. Maybe he should've told you before that he's never kissed anyone. Fiingers trembling, the mistletoe slips from within his grasp and he acts on instinct. Leaning over the reception desk which separates the two of you, one hand cupping the back of your head, the other resting against the curve of the side of your neck. His shoulders relaxing as he melts into the tender moment, eyes fluttering shut as he reciprocates the kiss.

Sweet Tooth
pairing: Spencer Reid x Reader
wc: 4.5k
summary: spencer finds himself frequenting a local donut establishment for more reasons than one. his sweet tooth isn't limited to just pastries and he bets you'd taste delicious
cw: oral (fem receiving), fingering. pls pls pls let me know if i missed smth but i think those are the only major things
------
It was widely known that Spencer was fond of overly sweet coffee, but his sweet tooth was not limited to just his morning pick-me-up. The team had recently wrapped up with a rather grueling case, and he thought he’d surprise them all with donuts that morning. So there he was, in the local donut shop, staring at what must have been the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen. The way the early morning light shone in through the windows and illuminated you was truly breathtaking. Try as he might, he stumbled over the order, embarrassing himself in front of you and surely ruining his chances of you liking him.
You could tell he was flustered, so you did your best to suppress your giggles. He was cute. Very cute. This was the first time you had seen him come into the store, and you were hoping it wasn’t the last. He paid for his order and you boxed it up, receiving a shy smile from him as you handed it to him. “Thank you,” he said, before turning and walking out quickly, the bell above the door chiming.
It was a little over a week before you saw him again. He greeted you with a “good morning” as he walked in and approached the counter.
“Good morning!” you said back cheerily, glad to see that he had returned. He scanned the selection of confections before selecting a chocolate donut with sprinkles.
“Huh, I thought you’d be more of a donut hole kind of guy,” you said, trying to make conversation with the handsome man.
He laughed a bit and shook his head. “No, chocolate and sprinkles are definitely the best. They've been my favorite since I was a kid.”
“Oh yeah? I think if I was to pick a favorite it would have to be the apple fritter.”
Not missing the chance to learn about you, even if it was just your favorite donut, he asked, “Why that one? Not that it's a bad choice, but most people seem to prefer the chocolate and glazed.”
You laughed and Spencer swore his heart melted right then and there. “Well, they're my dad’s favorite. And every time he had one he would split it between us. So not only is it delicious, but it reminds me of my childhood.”
He smiled at your wholesome reason and before he could stop himself he said, “That’s really cute.”
You blushed, consumed with the thought that he considered something about you was cute, even if it was something so minor as to why your favorite donut is what it is. God, you didn't even know his name and there you were, developing a crush. Your eyes met his, and you were awestruck at how warm and inviting they looked. He had these expressive brown eyes that you could get lost in if you allowed yourself to. You shook your head from your thoughts, realizing you were probably freaking him out. He was just here for a donut and here you were staring at him like some creep. You hadn’t even bagged it for him yet. Pull yourself together you chastised yourself internally, finally breaking eye contact and doing your job like a normal person.
When you handed him the bag he briefly glanced down at your name tag. “Thanks, Yn,” he said, giving you a small smile. What a pretty name, he thought.
“No problem, have a good day…” you trailed off, hoping he would introduce himself. It was only fair since he knew your name.
“Spencer,” he filled in for you.
“Spencer,” you repeated. “I’ll have to remember that for next time.”
–❀–
Next time turned out to be three days later. You were back in the kitchen, not expecting a customer to be there so early until you heard the bell chime. “I’ll be right there!” you called out. You quickly rinsed your hands and were still drying them on a towel when you walked out to see a familiar mop of brown hair. “Spencer! Good morning!”
He chuckled, “Good morning, Yn.”
“Chocolate with sprinkles?” you asked, remembering his favorite.
“You remembered?”
“You’re beginning to become a regular, and I make it a point to memorize those orders.”
Spencer’s smile dropped a bit, somewhat disheartened that it was something you did for all customers and not just him.
You didn’t notice the slight change in his expression and continued, deciding to take a chance. “Plus, it’s hard to forget the cute customers.”
Spencer’s face instantly flushed crimson, all logical thought leaving him. So much for his high IQ. His mouth opened and closed again, desperately trying to formulate some sort of response. But Spencer couldn't even think straight. His thoughts were in a flurry and every single one was about you.
Seeing his reaction, you backpedaled as fast as you could. “I’m sorry. That was too forward of me. I don’t know why I said that. I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable—”
“It’s perfectly alright.” He cut off your frantic apology. “You didn't make me uncomfortable at all. I’m actually quite flattered that you find me as attractive as I find you.”
It was your turn to be speechless. When his words fully sunk in, you couldn't stop the wide smile and giggle that bubbled forth. This man was going to be the death of you. “So, uh,” he started nervously, rubbing a hand on the back of his neck, “I was wondering if I could get your number?”
You beamed at him. “Yes, of course!” You went to the register and rang him up, writing your phone number on his receipt before handing it to him. He dialed it into his phone, and you heard your phone ringing faintly from the break room where you had left it. “There,” he said. “Now you have my number, too.”
–❀–
Your morning rendezvous with Spencer quickly became the highlight of your week. He was always dressed professionally, and you finally decided to ask him where he worked. The two of you talked about nearly everything under the sun, so you were shocked when you came to the realization that you didn't even know what he did for work.
The next time he came in, you practically ambushed him with your question. His eyes widened in surprise, “Oh, I’m an agent with the BAU. Did I not tell you that?”
“No, you did not. What’s the BAU?”
“It stands for behavioral analysis unit. It’s a department of the FBI. We analyze the unsub’s-”
“Unsub?” you interrupted.
“Unidentified subject. So what we do is analyze the unsub’s actions and behavior and create a profile to better understand how and why they do what they do. This is what allows us to determine the identity of the unsub and arrest them.”
Your jaw had dropped open during his explanation. The guy you’d been casually talking to turned out to be an FBI agent. Cute and badass.
Becoming shy from the attention, he changed the subject to something he’d been wanting to ask you. “So, Yn, would you be interested in meeting somewhere other than here? When you're not at work and I don't have to go to my own job?”
Your face flushed with heat, and your heart pounded in your chest. “Like a date?”
Trusting that your hopeful expression was a good indication, Spencer nodded. “Yeah, like a date.”
The bright smile you gave him at his confirmation would live in Spencer’s mind for the rest of the day.
“I’m free this weekend,” you suggested.
–❀–
And just like that, it became a routine for Spencer to visit the shop at least once a week. He began to find himself getting up earlier and earlier each day just so he could stay and talk with you for longer. The physical attraction was instant from the first moment he saw you, but now that he was truly getting to know you he was falling and falling fast. You had this light about you that Spencer couldn't put into words, even with his impressive vocabulary.
Reid’s highly observant coworkers were quick to notice his frequent morning donut runs. He never ate them at the shop, choosing to use that time to visit with you. Instead, he waited until he got to the office so he could enjoy the sweet goodness with his daily cup of coffee. And today was no exception.
“All those donuts are going to catch up with you one day, Reid,” Prentiss teased. “You can't be skinny forever.”
“So be it. She's worth it,” replied Spencer, taking another bite, sprinkles falling onto the napkin he’d placed on his desk.
“She?” Morgan raised his brows, a grin spreading across his face as he turned in his chair to face the young doctor.
Spencer’s eyes widened and he nearly choked on his food, trying to figure out a way to take back his slip of the tongue. “I meant they. They’re worth it. The donuts.”
“Uh-huh. Sure. So what’s her name?”
Spencer sighed. “Yn.” That was all he said as he pulled his paperwork towards himself. No point in denying it when they were already certain.
“Woah, woah, you can't just leave it at that! Tell us about her. What's she like and how did you meet? Spill everything.”
Spencer merely took another bite of his donut, a smug smirk on his face for withholding the information his colleagues were so curious about.
For the rest of the day, Morgan and Prentiss attempted to convince Spencer to divulge his sweet secret. After another failed attempt, it finally hit Morgan, and he had to admit he felt very silly for it. He waited until Spencer left on his lunch break before he approached Emily’s desk.
“Hey, what’s up?” she asked.
“What’s up is that Hotch should probably reconsider our positions on the team,” he joked. “The donut bag. It’s in Reid’s personal mini trash can under his desk. All we have to do is look at it real quick and we’ll know exactly which shop he goes to!”
Emily laughed, amused how it took so long for one of them to think of that. “Then what are we waiting for? Let's go dig in the doctor’s trash.”
They both stood and went over to Spencer’s desk. Morgan reached under and pulled out the small trash can, plucking the crumpled bag from the top. As he flattened the bag back out, a voice startled the two of them and they spun around in unison, like two kids that had been caught with their hands in the cookie jar.
“Why are you two digging in the kid’s trash?”
“Reid has a girl in his life and if he wont tell us then we’re gonna find out ourselves. She’s either a regular at this place—” he held up the bag, displaying the logo for Rossi to see, “—or she works there.”
“Hm. I see. Carry on, then,” was all he said before continuing on his way.
The younger agents turned their attention back to what they were digging for. “Meche’s Donuts,” they both read aloud.
“Pretty sure that’s close to Reid’s place. Y’know, I think some donuts tomorrow morning would be great, don’t you?”
“Now that you say it, yeah, donuts would be good. Meet you there at 8:00?”
“You bet.” He recrumpled the bag and replaced the trash can as it was.
When Reid returned, he didn't notice the look his friends exchanged and was none the wiser.
–❀–
The next morning, both Emily and Derek got up earlier than usual and met in the parking lot of Meche’s. They approached the building, and Derek held open the door for Emily, the bell chiming to notify you of a customer’s arrival.
“Good morning!” you greeted like usual.
They returned your greeting as they neared the counter, both of their sights narrowing in on your name tag: Yn.
“Has a guy named Spencer Reid been here today?” Morgan asked, never one to beat around the bush.
“No, do you know him?” You asked curiously.
“Yeah, we’re friends of his. We noticed that his sweet tooth has been getting the better of him lately. Lots of donuts,” he smirked, gesturing down to the transparent display. “Pretty boy had a bit of a slip up and told us that it was because of a girl, but wouldn’t tell us anything else. So we decided to do a bit of sleuthing.”
“And here we are,” finished Emily. “I’m Agent Emily Prentiss and this is Agent Derek Morgan. Promise we’re not creeps, this is just the first time we’ve known him to have a crush on someone and we wanted to know what you looked like. He’s got good taste at least.”
You laughed good-naturedly, “Don't worry about it. We have a date scheduled for this weekend actually.”
Emily ooohed like a schoolgirl. “You don't have to tell me if you don't want to, but I’m dying to know. What is Spencer’s idea of a date? Bet he takes you to a bookstore.”
“Or a foreign movie,” interjected Morgan. “With no subtitles, so he can whisper the translations in your ear.”
–❀–
Saturday
You were getting ready for your date with Spencer when you heard your phone ring. The caller ID told you that it was Spencer calling and butterflies erupted in your stomach.
“Hello?”
“Hey, I was just calling to let you know I’m on my way.”
“Ok, perfect! I’m almost done getting ready. You remember the address?”
He laughed. “Of course I remember. There’s not much I don’t remember.”
“Oh, my bad Dr. Reid. We can't all be super geniuses with an eidetic memory.”
The two of you talked and joked with each other until Spencer told you that he was parking and would be up in a moment to meet you at the door. All you had to do was quickly slip your shoes on and you were ready.
Three sharp raps sounded from the door, and you peeked through the peephole before unlocking the door and swinging it open.
He seemed stunned for a second, just taking in your appearance. “Wow,” was all he could think to say. “You look beautiful.”
“And you look very handsome,” you returned the compliment. And he did, as always. He was probably the only guy you knew who could pull off a sweater vest. He may dress like an old man, but damn did he make it work.
Turns out that he picked out some hole in the wall diner you’d never even heard of. But he swore by their food and claimed it was some of the best in town. Also that they made a mean bread pudding. A broad smile overtook his features when he saw your eyes light up at the mention of the dessert. He’d recalled from a previous conversation that it was your favorite and had made sure to choose a restaurant that had it on the dessert menu.
The meal was spent indulging in a lively conversation about all of your favorite books. He even suggested a book exchange; he’d load you his favorite, and you’d loan him yours. Though you did warn him that you might have to pick up a new copy first, as yours was particularly old  and practically on the verge of disintegrating in your hands.
“I’m sure it’s not that bad,” he said.
“No, it is!” you insisted. “The last time I read it I looked down and there were a bunch of particles on my lap from the pages.”
After picking up the check at the diner, Spencer informed you that there was a movie he wanted to take you to. “It’s a Russian movie, and I’m not sure if there’s subtitles or not, but I can whisper the translations for you. But I definitely think you’ll enjoy the plot.”
You thought back to what Morgan said when he and Emily visited you. Morgan: 1, Emily: 0.
Turns out, there were, in fact, subtitles. However, Spencer claimed those weren't very accurate to the tone of the movie and chose to give you his own translations anyway. In order to not disturb other movie goers, he had to lean in to whisper, so close that his lips would occasionally brush the shell of your ear. If not for the fact you were already sitting, you thought your knees would have given out. The low timbre of his voice traveled straight from your eardrum all the way to your core. You tried to pay attention to the movie, you really did, but the gentle rasp of Spencer’s voice in your ear had you beyond distracted. He was so close. Between the close proximity and his voice, your panties were quickly becoming uncomfortably sticky which led you to squirm in your seat occasionally.
Spencer, the hyper-observant profiler that he was, noticed your pitiful attempts to adjust the way you were sitting. “Are you ok?” he asked, interrupting his translation mid sentence.
“Yes!” you answered hurriedly. “Yeah, I’m fine.” You cleared your throat nervously and hoped he would let it go. You could see a slight frown form on his face before it looked as if a metaphorical lightbulb went off over his head.
He resumed his position near your face, once again whispering to you, but not translations this time. No, this time it was as if a switch had flipped inside the sweet man you’d become so fond of. “If I didn't know any better, I’d say you like having me so close to you. Isn't that right, Yn?”
The way he whispered your name so sensually had your heart beating out of your chest and your breath hitching in response. His laughter came out as a huff, trying to stay quiet. “Think you can wait until the end of the movie?” he asked with a suggestive lilt to his words.
You both knew the answer, but you pretended to think about it in an effort to spare at least some of your dignity. “No,” you answered with your head down, almost ashamed at how easily Spencer had riled you up.
“‘No’ what? Use your words, sweetheart.”
To hell with your dignity. “No, I can't wait. I want you now.”
He grabbed your hand and pulled you up from your seat as he stood. He led you out the doors and to the parking lot, heading straight for his car.
“Where are we going?”
“My apartment.” he answered swiftly as he put his hand on the back of your seat to back out of the parking spot.
The ride to his apartment was spent mostly in silence, both of you tense for all the best reasons. At one of the red lights he’d made the bold move to relocate one of his hands from the steering wheel to your left thigh, rubbing his thumb back and forth and gently squeezing it every now and then. Every squeeze sent a bolt of electricity to your center and you were getting needier by the second.
–❀–
As soon as his apartment door shut behind him, his mouth was on yours, lips crashing together in a heated kiss. With both hands on either side of your face, he licked the seam of your lips impatiently, wanting nothing more than to taste you. You obliged, and his tongue snaked its way into your mouth, intertwining with yours. He groaned into the kiss, unable to get enough of you. Pulling away from your lips, he kissed down your jaw and neck slowly, deliberately. Taking his time to leave dark marks in his wake. He took a deep breath in through his nose. “You have no idea what this perfume was doing to me at the movie. Could barely even translate for you,” he mumbled into your skin.
“Bedroom?” you asked, near breathless with anticipation but not particularly wanting to get fucked in his entryway.
He led you through his apartment to his bedroom where Spencer wasted no time reconnecting his lips to yours, backing you up until the back of your knees hit the edge of the bed, prompting you to sit. Before you could lay down, his hands tugged on the hem of your shirt. “Let’s get this off of you, hm?”
He made quick work of the cloth and tossed it aside “God, you're so pretty. Lay down for me, sweetheart,” he said. You flushed and did as he told you, scooting yourself higher up on the bed before laying your head onto his pillows. He removed both his sweater vest and shirt before eagerly crawling atop you. He propped himself up on his elbows, his face aligned with yours. You impatiently leaned up to kiss him again, and you could feel him grinning into the harsh kiss before kissing you back. His hands wandered across your body, settling on your breasts. You moaned into his mouth and pressed your chest further into his large hands, your hips bucking up, seeking the friction you so desperately wanted.
He chuckled, removing his hands from your breasts to your hips and holding them down, preventing you from moving them and eliciting a whine from you. “Patience, sweetheart. I’ll take care of you. Promise.” His voice was low and gravelly, his lips pressed against the skin just under the skin of your earlobe. He suckled the skin lightly as one hand came up behind your back, unclasping your bra and giving it the same treatment he gave your shirt. He pulled back and groaned at the sight of seeing you half naked beneath him. This felt like a dream come true to Spencer and it was taking everything he had to not throw his inhibitions out the window and ravish you right that second.
He groped your bare chest for a moment before leaning down to lick a stripe between them. He placed feather-light kisses across your skin, his hair falling over his face and tickling you where it brushed. His trail of kisses led him to one of your nipples, which he took in his mouth, sucking lightly. You gasped when he used his teeth to pull on it slightly. “Spencer!”
While his mouth was busy with one, he had a hand on the other, tweaking the bud between his nimble fingers. You raked your hands through his hair, holding him in place. The tug on his roots had Spencer groaning into your chest and increasing the intensity of his ministrations and suckling you more and more fervently with each tug of his hair and sweet moan from your lips. Satisfied, he released your bud with a slight pop and switched to the other side, determined to make you squirm and beg for him before he touched you properly. The hand that wasn't on your breast lowered from your waist to your hip, massaging the supple flesh.
“Please, Spencer,” you begged, needing so much more than he was currently giving you. You were aching for him, panties soaked with evidence of your want.
He released your nipple and tilted his head to look at your face, both of your pupils blown wide with lust. He cooed at you, “What does my pretty girl need? Tell me, and it’s yours.”
“You!” you cried. “I want you! Please, Spencer!”
He groaned, the sound low and guttural. “You already have me. I was yours from the first moment I laid eyes on you.” Your eyes softened from his words, and you watched him as he tilted his head back down, tracing his nose down your abdomen as he lowered himself further down the bed, his hands caressing your sides as he did so. He placed a chaste kiss just above the waistband of your bottoms before hooking his fingers under it. “May I?”
You nodded frantically, and he placed another kiss in the same spot as he pulled your shorts and panties down together, tantalizingly slowly. Finally seeing you completely bare before him had him nearly cumming in his pants on the spot. You were so perfect and he wanted to make you feel so good that the only name you knew was his. He ran his hands up your thighs and settled his head between them. “You're absolutely dripping for me, sweetheart.” Spencer was practically panting from the lust flowing through his veins. He placed a chaste kiss to your clit before tentatively licking your cunt. You let out a strangled moan, his hot tongue not providing near enough pressure.
“Don’t tease me, Spence,” you mewled, your hands weakly trying to push his head back down where you needed him.
“Savoring, baby, not teasing. I don’t want to forget a single moment of this.” With that said, he licked a broad stripe across your pussy, much more confident than the first time. He wrapped his lips around your clit and sucked harshly, groaning into you. You cried out his name, grip on his hair tightening. “Fuck, you taste so good,” he said breathlessly before diving back in, slurping at you like a man starved. He hummed with bliss as he continued to eat you out, the vibrations adding to the stimulation. “So sweet, baby, oh my God,” he praised. He lifted your legs and placed them over his shoulders, pressing himself further into you as he wrapped his arms around your thighs.
It was all you could do to keep from screaming his name as he continued to lick and suck at the most intimate part of you. You thrashed in his hold, overwhelmed with the pleasure he was giving you. He tightened his hold on your thighs, holding you open so he could continue to drink you in. He swore he would never be able to get enough of you. If this was the last thing he ever did then he'd die a happy man.
“C’mon, sweetheart, cum on my face. Give it to me. I want it,” he grunted. Without warning, he plunged a finger into you, causing you to cry out. He added a second finger shortly after, and he relished in the way your walls were squeezing around his fingers. You were so close and it was all because of him. With his fingers thrusting in and out of you and his mouth on your clit, you were finally pushed over the edge, cumming with a scream of Spencer’s name. He didn't stop until you were practically shoving him away, the overstimulation becoming too much. His face was covered in your juices, and you watched with rapt attention as he licked his lips before wrapping them around the two digits still covered with your wetness, sucking them clean and groaning at the taste as he did it.
Yeah, Spencer Reid definitely had a sweet tooth.

Spiced plum jam. Apple and plum loaf. Caramelised plum tart.
You stood before the box of plums in awe, ideas swirling in your head as you stared at the big, purple orbs in front of you.
Poached plums and figs with brie, spread on crunchy, toasted bread....
Your mouth started to water. You couldn’t come to the market and not get some plums. Especially when they looked this delicious and ripe. They were just the right amount of squidge which meant they were juicy too.
“I’ll take ten.” You tell the shopkeep, who smiles down at you as he fixes a brown paper bag with ten huge plums, uttering the price.
“Don’t eat them all at once,” He chuckles, handing the bag  to you and taking the money from your outstretched palm. The exchange is swift, friendly, and a mutual understanding of pride and admiration between farmer and cook.
You flash a grin to the shopkeep as you head back through to the main thrum of the market.
“I’ll try my best!”

You’re clutching your brown paper bag tightly to your chest like your life depends on it. The market was busier than usual today and you’d be dammed if you wasted another moment not eating a juicy plum.
The crowd parts briefly and you spot a bench just off the path beneath some trees. You make a bee-line for it, weaving quickly and smoothly through the throng of people. The trees rustle above you, cascading leaves in hues of bronze, gold and yellow onto the path. It was a crisp autumn day. There was a breeze but it wasn't too cold, not yet anyway, but a clear signal of the change in season.
You dig a hand into your plum bag, pulling out one of your many treasures, looking out over the market. Your bag remains perched on your lap as you watch buyers yell out deals, prepare food or bags of goods and haggle with customers. All sorts of different smells mingled together; from newly fried donuts and coffees and fresh vegetables and fruits all the way to savoury pastries and the fish stall. It was a myriad for the senses and always the highlight of your week when you could come.
You go to take a bite out of your plum when something shifts in your right peripheral. Your eyes flicker beside you and you're startled to find a man next to you. He's sat on the other side of the bench with a backpack strapped to him and there's a baseball cap casting a shadow over his handsome features. He's not looking at you but over at the market, wearing a forlorn expression that makes your chest ache gently.
You don't know him. You don't know what his story is. But from that expression alone, you know he needs something good to happen today.
You glance down at the plum in your hand thoughtfully and then back to him. You shuffle a little closer, awkwardly steadying the paper bag on your lap, when he looks over to you wide eyed and nervous.
You hold out the plum in your hand to him with a soft, friendly smile.
“Plum?”
He looks over at you like the human equivalent of a question mark.
“You... want one? Sorry, maybe I should have clarified instead of announcing it’s a plum.”
He still looks at you strangely, as if he's surprised by the friendly gesture, but there's a ghost of a smile as he looks between you and the purple sphere in your hand. He tentatively holds out a gloved palm and you place the plum into his hand. He squishes it gently, glancing at it with concentration like he’s trying to feel for something.
“They’re perfect aren’t they?” You say watching him, trying to hype up the plum to him. "They're ripe so they'll be extra sweet."
The stranger says nothing but still looks appreciatively at the plum in his hand, rolling it between his thumb and palm.
You point to the direction of the stall, babbling a little to try to fight the awkwardness of the one-sided conversation you were having. “The stall is just over there. I’d go before they sell out.”
He follows your finger, gaze cautious and alert, but he nods.
"Thanks," he mumbles in a gruff voice, which makes you stifle a sigh of relief. You offer him another smile as you retrieve a new plum for yourself, toasting it to him before taking a large, long-awaited bite. Plum juice trickles down your chin and your free hand rushes to cup it before it stains your clothes. You mutter a curse around the plum flesh, blushing a little when you hear a quiet chuckle from the man beside you.
"What did I say?" You try for a charming smile but your mouth is still covered with plum juice and flesh. "Ripe."
The stranger's smile widens and he shakes his head quietly. You can't help the warmth that spreads in your chest at the sight. He looks even more handsome when he smiles; the furrowed brows of anxiety replaced with crinkles around his eyes. You give him a delicate nudge with your elbow.
"Your turn."
He considers it a moment, regarding the plum, before taking a shy bite of his own. Plum juice still manages to dribble down his chin, causing you to stifle a giggle. The stranger's eyes widen with delight, wiping his face with a free gloved hand and he's still smiling.
"They are ripe," he chuckles and takes another bite.
"I did warn you." You mimick his action and take another bite, smaller than your last thankfully. A comfortable silence settles between you as you eat the plums, a soft breeze blowing leaves gently over both of your feet.
"Thank you." The stranger says quietly, after he's finished eating. "That was...nice of you."
You flash another smile. "No problem."
He smiles back and silently rises to his feet, towering above you. Your gaze travels up his form, lingering a little too long when you realise your still mid-way through a bite of plum.
"I... Hope you have a good day." You say gently.
He nods again, cheeks dusting pink. "You too. I... think I might take a look at those plums actually."
"Tell the shop keep the weirdo that bought ten plums sent you. He might give you a discount." You chuckle, earning you another soft, eye-crinkling smile.
"I will. Thanks."
"Stop thanking me. You've said it three times." You huff, mock-annoyed, and then grin. "See ya 'round."
"See you." He nods again and you watch him melt away into the crowd in the direction of the fruit stall with the delicious plums.
You sigh softly into the air, enjoying the final moments of peace with your plum. You wonder if you helped to make the stranger's day better, and if you'll bump into him at the market again. As you leave the market with your (now eight) plums in tow, you think about the stranger and wonder if he will remember you but you shake your head of the thought. It was a fleeting moment of kindness between strangers. You'd probably never see him again. You'd probably not remember him, let alone him remember you.
However, you would be wrong. James Buchanan Barnes always remembered one of the first acts of kindness he experienced after escaping HYDRA. One of the first times he smiled in a very long time.
He never forgot the stranger and their plums.
