You know what actually I get EXACTLY why Dazai got so obsessed with Chuuya like that's 100% realistic.

Like when I was a little kid I was having my own existentialism period and I found everything boring and worthless, than I got into Adventure time and suddenly I had ONE thing I liked. Except because it was only one thing I got ABSOLUTELY obsessed with it. Like I would only talk about Adventure time, I would constantly draw Adventure and watch Adventure time and look up stuff online about Adventure time. I would lay awake at night imaging myself in the Adventure time world and I would feel actual genuine pain whenever I thought about the fact that I could never go to the Adventure time world. It got to a point where my siblings would give me an episode and season number at random, and I could tell them what episode that was and what it was about.

Like Dazai was also a depressed kid who suddenly found ONE thing he liked and that happened to be Chuuya, so of course he got absolutely obsessed with Chuuya and started thinking about him every night and would not shut up to people about Chuuya.

And it's been 12 years since I got into Adventure time and although my obsession mellowed out I still love it and think about it a lot but that's just normal for me now.

And that's also what happened with Dazai, cause even after 7 years he still thinks about Chuuya every day but its just background noise to him now because of how used to it he is.

I don't even kin Dazai or relate to him in general but in this one aspect we are the exact same.

chuuya’s threat about sending dazai’s address to every girl he’s “sent crying” is funny because it’s so effective. the entire reason why the ada has a bomb for atsushi’s entrance exam is because a fanatic woman dazai once flirted with was threatening him with it. if chuuya sent dazai’s address to these women it would not bode well for him or the agency

Prompt: “Good night.”

Kunikida was not having a good day.

He’d been working a case and had spent the entire day out and about. Chasing. Fighting. Almost dying. But that wasn’t exactly new.

What bothered him was the results. The person they hadn’t been able to save. That he hadn’t been able to save.

So no. No, he wasn’t exactly chipper when he got home, hair in an unusual disarray and hands stained an invisible red.

He opened the door to their apartment and shrugged off his coat when he got in. Their, meaning Chuuya’s, but he and Dazai had slowly but surely crowded their way into it. Mostly unintentionally, but Dazai made sure Chuuya was watching when he tucked his own clothes into the closet. He could have stopped it if he wanted. But he didn’t, and that meant he was sprawled across the couch when Kunikida came in (with his own, legally obtained copy of the key).

“Hey,” Chuuya greeted.

Dazai emerged from the blanket that was covering him. They had taken a day off today. Chuuya used Corruption and…Kunikida didn’t know how to deal with it yet. He needed more information, more data, needed to know he wouldn’t fuck it up. He left it to Dazai for now.

“Ah, rough day? I told you that case wasn’t going to have a happy ending,” Dazai said.

Kunikida sighed. Yeah, Dazai had warned him to hop off the case, said he wouldn’t like the results. He stayed regardless, and here he was now.

“Yes, well, you were right. I’m going to shower, and then go to bed.”

“It’s a bit early for your shower, isn’t it?” Chuuya asked. Chuuya, who had memorized his schedule days after he had officially moved in.

“Yes. I just…I need to be alone for a while.”

He wasn’t going to shower immediately. The thought of getting off schedule right now made his skin tight. He just needed to sit down somewhere isolated with the knowledge he would come back out when he was ready and he’d get to get smothered in cuddles from the people he loved.

“Kay,” Dazai said. “Good night. Come to us when you’re ready.��
