The Granddaughter - Chapter 2: family

"Tikki, I'll have to talk to Sass later about this. Honestly, I didn't expect my grandfather…" Marinette spoke as she saw Tikki stopping in front of the mirror. The little Kwami smiled sympathetically. "I don't have time for that right now. Later…" 

"I'm sure Sass will be able to explain this better. But it's not the right time, don't get your head in spiral right now… Let's go so you won't be late." She said returning to the pocket of the jacket she was initially.

Marinete took a deep breath, compartmentalizing the problem and leaving it in the back of her mind for her to solve later, leaving the bathroom afterwards.

Damian was not having a good day. First, he failed to rest properly. He had arrived from a trip a few hours ago and, to avoid jet lag, he chose not to sleep. He tried to take Titus for a walk and ended up having to dodge some paparazzi when leaving the park and, to top it off, his father had informed him that he was forbidden to initiate any investigation during his classes at the university. Definitely not the best of his days. After feeding Titus and Alfred the cat, Damian went downstairs to see if Alfred needed any help when he found a woman in the hallway, automatically putting himself in an alert position, looking around and observing the person in front of him. She had a short, athletic build and was dressed in dark jeans with dark red heeled boots. She wore a leather jacket the same shade as her boots with her hair in a French braid.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?" Damian spoke sharply, seeing her tense up as soon as she heard his voice. He took a step forward, watching her step back, looking him up and down.

As soon as Marinete left the bathroom she heard a male voice, getting alert immediately. She turned slowly, getting into a defensive position, watching the man in front of her. He was tall, with obvious muscles and he was glaring at her? She didn't try to decipher or understand what was going on at the moment. She watched him approach, simultaneously taking a step back, hearing him speak again.

"I'll repeat it just this once. Who are you and what are you doing here?"

Marinette looked at him, frowning then taking another step back and adjusting her posture. She began to observe the corridor they were in, the objects and everything she could take advantage of at the moment, hearing the kitchen door open behind her.

Alfred had just finished talking to Bruce and was leaving to find Marinette when he heard a voice in the hallway. He left quickly, watching the interaction between Damian and Marinette, both in defensive positions.

"Master Damian, I'm sure I taught you how to treat visitors well." He spoke, seeing both relax. "Marinette, my dear, let me introduce Master Damian, son of Master Bruce. Damian, this is my granddaughter, Marinette" he said putting a hand on his granddaughter's shoulder who gave a slight smile towards her grandfather "she will be starting classes at Gotham University, just like you."

"I didn't know you had a granddaughter Alfred. I'm sorry for my earlier behavior miss." He spoke, extending his hand towards her.

Marinette looked him up and down, her face relaxing giving a light smile. "Nice to meet you. It's not specifically a secret, but we like to keep that information to ourselves." She paused, turning her attention to her grandfather. "I need to go now Alfred, but I'll call you so we can finish our earlier conversation."

"I'll accompany you to the bike, my dear. This way…" Alfred said, indicating the way for her to follow him. "Dinner will be served in 15 minutes. I suggest you get organized and head over there."

"Have a good night Mr. Wayne, Damian" the young woman said, nodding slightly, following her grandfather towards the door. She hugged the older one tightly as soon as they reached the vehicle, picking up the helmet next. She put her purse in the bike's compartment, turning her attention back to her grandfather. "I'll text you when I get to the restaurant and as soon as I get home, okay?" She spoke with her helmet visor open, looking at him.

"Be careful on the way. I'll wait for your message and I'll call you tomorrow. Take care of yourself, please sweetheart."

"I Will" Marinette gave a slight smile, seeing a motorcycle approaching and stopping beside her. She squeezed Alfred's hand in such a way as to reassure him that she would be fine, getting on the bike next, listening to the man beside her talking to her grandfather.

"Good night Alfie!" He said, stopping beside Alfred, looking at Marinette on the bike as he crossed his arms. "It's a beautiful bike, fast, powerful and with beautiful curves." he spoke looking at the black Kawasaki with red details and then at the woman.

Marinette's eyes widened, shaking her head and laughing lightly. "Thank you, I guess?" she spoke towards Jason, turning her attention to Alfred "I Will wait for your call tomorrow Alfred." She spoke starting the bike and heading to the exit, leaving towards the restaurant where she would meet her uncle.

"Who was she Alfred?" Jason asked, following the butler into the house.

"I'll explain later Master Jason, for now go call everyone I'll serve dinner." he replied heading towards the kitchen. About fifteen minutes later, the table was already set when the members of the house started to arrive and help themselves afterwards.

"So Alfred, the young lady who was talking to you in the doorway a few minutes ago, she was leaving when I arrived..." Jason started to speak when he was cut off by Tim.

"Did anyone come here today?" Tim said taking the cell phone and looking at the security cameras, seeing Stephanie leaning over him.

"Wow, she's pretty!" Stephanie said. "Who is she?"

"You didn't see her on the bike outside. The curves… of the bike!" He said looking at the butler who was a grandfather figure to everyone at the table "Could you do the honors and introduce her?" He said seeing the image on the cell phone and then passing it to Dick, seeing Damian smirk.

Alfred just sighed, coughing lightly. " The young woman who was here a little while ago is my granddaughter Marinette Pennyworth Dupain-Cheng. She lived with her adoptive parents and moved a little while ago because she will start studying at Gotham University" he finished talking seeing Jason widen his eyes " I would greatly appreciate Master Jason that you would be very careful how you speak of my granddaughter." He spoke seeing Damian smile while the others laughed.

"I didn't know Julia had a daughter Alfred. The last time you mentioned her was fifteen years ago" Dick said as soon as he managed to control his laughter.

"You have a daughter and a granddaughter? How did I not know that?" Tim commented by looking at Dick once he finished talking about Julia.

Alfred stopped eating, placing the cutlery he used on the table. He heard his own phone vibrate, glanced at it briefly and checked the message that Marinette was at the restaurant. He took a deep breath and was a little relieved, seeing Tim's curious look, then speaking. " Julia, my daughter, was born from a relationship I had after the war. She and her husband passed away 15 years ago and left a 4 year-old daughter, Marinette. As you may remember, Gotham and the mansion could not be considered the best places at the time to raise a child who needed all the stability of a family. Julia had already expressed her wish that, should anything happen to her, Marinette should stay with her honorary brother Tom Dupain. After we talked later of the incident we thought it best to leave her in a more stable environment."

"I'm so sorry Alfred. I didn't know you had to give up your family again for… us." Dick spoke, then looked at his father.

"Don't worry about it Master Dick. In return I expect you to do me a favor and I've already requested the same thing from your father. I hope each of you will respect her privacy. She doesn't deserve , after everything that's happened to her in the last few years, that none of you start tearing her life apart as is usually done with most people who pass through here. This is a personal request."

"Can you give us an overview of her?" Tim asked, looking at his grandfather thoughtfully "I'm not going to search her, but it's good to know the basics so that if something happens we can act."

"She lived most of her life in Paris, despite being born in London. She lived the last years under Hawkmorth's regime" he sighed "she trained with an old friend to know how to defend herself during the period she was in Paris"

"Is that why she reacted defensively to my presence?"

"Yes Master Damian. Even in a safe environment, some habits are difficult to change. She is a fashion designer and will start at Gotham University. Her adoptive parents knew Julia for many years and own a bakery in Paris. Anything else I believe is unnecessary."

"And how is she doing after all these years, after everything that's happened?" Bruce asked concerned.

"She's getting better, but it will take some time for her to recover." Alfred paused looking at everyone at the table. They were his family too, but he had to make it clear what he thought. "Bruce, you know that I consider you a son, that I raised you as if you were my blood, and that I consider all of you as my family after all the years that have passed. However, I want you to understand that Marinette is also my family, my blood. She is all that I have left of Julia and I hope you have the same consideration for her that you have for me. You will realize with time that, even though we were far away from each other, she is much more like me than you think."

"Don't worry Alfred. I believe everyone will comply with your request." Bruce spoke, which led the members of the table to immediately agree. "To the other family members who are not present, I will speak in person and I hope everyone waits for me to speak with each one before commenting anything."

Dinner continued in a leisurely fashion with quiet conversation about Alfred's relationship with the family.

"Before everyone leaves, tomorrow we will have three guests at home. I expect everyone present to be at their best behavior" Bruce spoke shortly after dinner ended.

"Great…" complained Damian, being cut off immediately by Alfred

"And who should we expect tomorrow Master Bruce?" Alfred asked, getting up to clear the table.

Bruce sigh, looking at his sons "Jagged is in town. He said he's bringing his design with him and his wife"

Once upon an afternoon stroll in Paris...

Alya: Hey girl, you alright?

If the universe is so adamant to keep me busy that I am practically living on caffeine, fighting akumas while having no social life whatsoever because I have to juggle being Ladybug, graduating student, MDC and guardian of the miraculous all at once, then I'll just own it! Yes, you heard right. From now on, I'd be single. Yes, ma'am. No dating for Miss Marinette Dupein-Cheng starting today. I'm going to focus on myself and my designs and--

Meanwhile, all across the globe, several someones feel the chills at the disturbance in the force...

It takes more than a role to be a teacher

And here we go! Another request made by azv2448 over on ao3. I believe that there will be more so i'm not hoping this is the last request i get from them.

Let's get into it then!

Mendeleiev and Bustier knew each other since college. They were rivals in everything... including becoming teachers, which everyone saw clearly back then and wondered who would win. While Olga was strict and focused with everyone to make sure that others listen so they get good grades... Caline focused on the bad people to make them feel good and happy while abusing the good students who were victims in bullying.

This caused Caline to get fired and lose her teachers permit...

Years go by and Olga works at College Françoise Dupont and is very happy with how well her students are doing in her class. She was shocked when she discovered Caline now working at the school... as a teacher. She knew about Caline losing her permit to be a teacher and how she refused to retake the classes required to reclaim her permit so how did she get the job? Olga was certain she didn't something and she was going to find out what it was... no matter what it takes.

Which is why she was in Damocles'' office right now. He was the one who had to review the people who request a job as a teacher and he swore to make sure that everything was good. So the fact that Caline got a job... means that she commited a crime, she looked around and then found Caline's file. She looked through it and uncovered that it had been documented that Caline presented a fake permit to be a teacher with false recommendations from previous schools she worked at but got fired from due to her actions.

This told Olga everything she needed to know as she took pictures of everything before putting it back and leaving...

Now that she had proof of Caline's and Damocles' crimes... she could get started on opening an investigation on them... but it was possible that they could cover it up still... which is why she needed more evidence of what they were doing... and for that... She needed evidence of Caline's behaviour in the classroom. She hates this due to the fact that Marinette was suffering badly by Caline's hands... she knew this because the other teachers notice that when she walks into there classroom she's happy and excited... but the second it's time to leave and she has to go to Caline's class... she's trembling as she walks out slowly.

Olga knew that Caline was doing the same thing she has done in the past on Marinette now...

Making Marinette do her work, letting others bully her and do nothing to stop it... it was horrible. She got a hidden camera set on her by using a gorgeous pin Mari made for her birthday two years ago and began to record everything that happened in Caline's class when she get's a chance to be near... and what she collected in just three days... made her want to quit and leave the country right now.

Caline ignored Mari's pleas for help when Chloe and Sabrina bully her, she looks away when Lila lies about Mari and she tries to defend herself, she leaves the classroom when the class attacks her verbally and or physically because Lila lied about Marinette doing something to her and worst of all... she makes a phone call whenever Mari tries to get her attention when Adrien sexually harasses her and she tells him no multiple times.

She was getting sick from it all but now she had everything she needed to destroy Caline and Damocles for good. Which is why she went after Mari who ran out of the classroom after Kim dumped his iced coffee on her and her sketchbook (fake) making the class laugh at her while Caline screamed at her to come back and apologize to the class for causing them trouble... she found her in the bathroom on the phone with her boyfriend.

She knew about the boy. Damien Wayne sole blood related son to Bruce Wayne. She actually received an email from Bruce giving her his personal number to call about anything relating to Marinette... she went over to Mari to comfort her and offered her jacket to wear before she goes home for the day to clean up and rest. Once she left. She returned to her classroom to make a phone call "Bruce Wayne" a male voice spoke after the second ring "Hello mister Wayne. My name is Olga Mendeleiev. You sent me an email with your number to call you about Marinette. Is this a good time to talk?" she explained and once she was confirmed to have time... she told him everything that happened to Marinette that she saw in three days.

Of course the man was infuriated with what she told him... and he wasn't going to let this continue "I'll send my best lawyers to Paris to help you sue those two and those kids who hurt Marinette. I will also be calling her parents and request they take her to the airport as soon as possible because i'm paying for a ticket for the next flight to Gotham for Marinette to be on to come live with us because that school is sadly a toxic environment for her now" Bruce explained and Olga fully agreed with what Bruce said. Mari needed to leave Paris so she can heal from what Caline taught her to believe.

The next day. Mari didn't come to school, all of her teachers received an email from Sabine that Mari was pulled out of school and was transferring to another school. Of course Damocles and Caline reacted in a negative way and responded to Sabine demanding Marinette to come back as she had things to fix and take care of before she could do so. But Olga knew that it wouldn't be possible since the girl was either on her way or already in Gotham by now. She did however go to the bakery and was gifted free pastries and a scarf made by Mari as a thank you for everything.

It made Olga happy as she enjoyed the gifts...

After that... it was hell at the school. Police were there to investigate and question everyone. Parents were coming in demanding answers about why there kids might be repeating the year or getting sent somewhere... Damocles was arrested for take money bribes to look the other way when bullies were hurting others and Caline was arrested for teaching without a permit and abusing Marinette. Olga smiled the whole time she presented her evidence to the police and informed everyone that she caused this to happen because she knew Caline in the past.

Bruce's lawyers were monsters towards Caline's class... they were all sued and given restraining orders for what they did to Mari, Caline was going to jail and Damocles was threatened with jail... but he somehow escaped that... Olga was certain that he somehow was able to lie about Caline and what he knew but she didn't care because he couldn't work at a school ever again.

Now here she was. The new principal at College Françoise Dupont. She investigates every potential teacher before making a final decision to hire or not. She makes sure that all students are doing well, but if they have troubles then she makes sure that they get the help they need and she receives gifts on her birthday every year for the past five years from Marinette Wayne as a thank you for saving her from Caline and her bullies.

She didn't care if Caline, Damocles or Caline's old class hate her... she would have done this all over again... if it meant Mari was alive, well and happy outside of Paris...

Miraculous Status Report: A Bit of Maintenance

Hello! First of all I want to say thank you to everyone who has read, liked, reblogged, and commented on my work! I would also like to thank all the people who followed me and sent requests! I LOVE y’all so much and it makes me so happy to know people enjoy what I make!

I’m writing this to give y’all the rundown on what’s going on, since I know my update schedule is nightmarish. So here’s what I hope is going to happen:

1. I still can’t promise frequent updates, I am a college student getting my teeth kicked in by my classes.

2. I’m gonna update my story on AO3 (The Ballad of the Fallen Goddess a Lukanette Greek Mythology AU) and start a poll for the next story there. 

3. I will work on getting the requests and prompts answered!

4. I’ll add on to existing series like the BiomomStarfire! AU

5. I will make some new stuff.

6. Update the Masterpost.

Mother finds out

(so, Lila lied turned all of Mari's friends against her except for Nino and Chloe apologized to Marinette, the class bully's her physically, verbally, and cyber, Damian knows only of the verbal bullying he doesn't know about the other parts of it, Mrs. Rossi knows nothing of what her daughter does, Nino and Chloe are going to have a good say here. Oh and Marinette is adopted by jagged and Penny sine Tom and Sabine disowned her for a lying sausage haired witch, and Chloe knows Mrs. Rossi since she works at the hotel(She has become nicer and Marinette told Chloe not to hold the mother accountable for Lila's actions and she doesn't want Mrs. Rossi to know what her daughter has done so yah))

Mrs. Rossi P.O.V

I was collecting my stuff to leave till I hear "Mrs. Rossi!" I turn around to see Chloe the Mayors daughter and the future owner of the hotel "what do you need miss?" I turned towards her "may I talk to you in my room?" "sure, do you need me to work a little longer?" I asked out of curiosity "No, its nothing along the lines of work" "oh um ok" I followed her up to the imperial suite, once I stepped in I saw two men, one I recognize as Nino, he would often come here with a blue haired girl named Marinette who also stays here, the other man I haven't seen here before he has black hair, jade green eyes, and he's scowling. "TT, Chloe who is she, and why did you want me hear?" "yes, I would like to know to miss?" I saw her sigh and put on a straight face "Guys this is Mrs. Rossi, Mrs. Rossi that's Damian Wayne, and I called you guys here because of Lila Rossi" I was a little worried when she said my daughter's name and how she knows it, and I'm in a room with a Wayne, Damian spoke up "why do I need to know about her?" well Damian, this involves Marinette" Chloe said with a straight face and then I saw Damians face go serious "what happened to Angel." "well, she's getting bullied by your daughter Mrs. Rossi" I got serious when she said that "what has she done now?" I narrow my eyes "Nino and I are in the same class as Lila and Marinette, she didn't want this to get to you but you need to know." she took a sigh and started explaining. "Mrs. Rossi your daughter Physically, and Verbally bullies Marinette, along with the Cyber bullying" I was shocked and furious that she's doing this "Lila has lied about traveling the world, having diseases, knowing celebs and turned the whole class but Nino and I against her. The class now physically hurts her to where she's gone to the hospital Five times, they call her names, insult her, they've even threatened her, they also went to her parents Tom and Sabine Dupain-Cheng and told them lies from Lila, and they disowned her jagged learned about this and adopted her, after they had started the cyber bullying, they've been sending her death threats and tried suicide baiting her. and Lila had Max hack into Marinettes account and took her money out of it, claiming she stole the money from her or that she stole her designs, its getting bad to where she's broken down in my room..." I was horrified at what Lila had done, then I saw Damian get up and walk out of the room I followed shortly after.

Damien's P.O.V

after Chloe explained what was happening with my angel I was pissed and ready to kill this Harlet, I stood up and headed to my angels, once I got there I went straight to her class and burst into the door to be met with a woman with orange hair in a bob "Sir, you cannot barge into my classroom while I'm teaching!" "TT" I ignored her and looked for my Angel to see her all the way in the back right corner asleep, but it seems she isn't relaxed at all, then I heard Mrs. Rossi "Lila Valentino Rossi!" I saw a girl pale which I'm guessing is the lying Harlet "m-mother w-what a-are y-you doing h-here!?" she yelled "lying to everyone, Including Me, bullying an innocent girl, stealing from peop-" a Harlet with glasses cut Mrs. Rossi off and started talking "Miss! Marinette bully's Lila!" I had it "No she doesn't it's the other way around!" "And who are you!?" "I am Damian Al Gul Wayne." everyone went pale and I walked back to get my angel, while Mrs. Rossi continued scolding the lying Harlet, when she finished I walked back up to the front and turned to look at the class and said "all of you will be sued by me and my family along with every celebrity that has been lied about, and Mrs. Rossi you cannot help Lila pay it off you should not have to pay for your daughters problems." I saw her smile and say "thank you, Mr. Wayne" I just nod and walk out.

after that the class along with the teacher and principle got sued by all the celebrities. Marinette, Chloe, and Nino moved to Gotham, Lila was arrested, she came out as M.D.C(fashion Designer), Nette(singer), and lady red(fencer) a year later, Damian proposed to Marinette three months after the reveal, Nino and Chloe got together a few weeks after and they were happy till the day they died.

The Beginning: living among the regular people of the world trying to keep it together

Destruction and intuition were two things you wanted on your side when fighting creation. Being a perfect balance of the world’s elements would also be helpful. But apparently destroying creation was easier than most would assume. All it took was Ladybug snapping.

The day creation died was one felt around the world. Ask anyone and they could tell you how they felt the earth rumble. Except there was no scientific evidence to back the event up. For a while, it was considered mass hysteria. But it was real. It was very real.

74 people died that day. Multiple gods were destroyed. No evidence other than the rumble was left behind.

The order was gone, with the exception of destruction and intuition.

Tikki tore the child apart just as they had feared, and she paid the consequences when a demon rose from the ashes.

Ladybug was finally dead. But a demon called Marinette walked the earth with one destination in mind, the only place she had ever called home. Gotham City. The place they had taken her from.

After four years she was back standing at the doorstep of a home she had technically never been in, waiting for a family she wasn’t sure would be willing to listen.

When the door crept open, she wasn’t greeted by a butler, but instead a boy she knew all too well.

“Marinette,” left his mouth, the words so quiet she could barely hear.

It was the first time her name had been said by anyone other than herself in years.

Tears filled her eyes as she replied, “Damian.”

The world forever changed, as the two were pulled together. Destined to a life of living among the regular people of the world trying to keep it together.

Okay on a different note this project which has now taken over a year comes to a close on its first part. This all started as a throwaway outline for maribat march. And it changed so much from that. This fic was nothing like it was intended to be while being so much more and so much less at the same time and I'd like to thank everyone who has liked and/or reblogged. All of you that have taken the time to read it and even get this far. Thank you. I am so aware the writing quality has been all over the place the updates were so random at times but thank you for sticking with me. I love you guys so much.

Tim stood there for a few minutes in front of the computer, still trying to believe what he was reading. "I have a sister... I have a little sister and she is sick…" he mumbled to himself and that was the only thought going through Tim Drake-Wayne's mind at that moment. He had a 22 year old sister who he didn't know about until 4 hours ago and she was going in for surgery. Tim leaned back in his chair, rubbing his eyes, staring at the screen in front of him with a half-lost gaze, coming to his senses when he heard voices entering the cave. He saved what was still open in his documents, watching Alfred bring Barbara closer to him.

The butler, who was much more of a grandfather than anything else, looked at him intensely, slightly raising his eyebrow, realizing that something was wrong. He didn't comment on the red eyes of the boy in front of him, just walking over and placing his hand on his shoulder.

" Maybe it's better that you don't go out today, Master Tim. I don't think you have the conditions to be part of the activities." Alfred paused briefly, looking again at the boy in front of him "I believe a good night's sleep will help, don't you think?"

"I... " Tim blinked several times, looking at him and sighing heavily. " I'll be in my room if anyone needs me." He didn't take long, getting up from his chair and heading towards the entrance that gave access to the mansion, bumping lightly into Damian as he entered the place.

"Tt. Watch where you walk Drake. This isn't that difficult if you keep your functionality to a minimum." He said as he saw him go up the stairs frowning " What happened to him? He's not in his normal sleep-deprived state…"

"I don't know Master Damian. Maybe he just needs some rest." Alfred says with concern "You should go change, the others will be here in little time."

Tim knew what he needed to do. He went straight to his room, sitting on the bed and turning on the computer. He was going to arrange a flight to Paris the next day, but until then, he needed to find out everything he could about his sister as soon as possible. He took out his cell phone, typing her phone number and opened it to send a message.

Emilie got out of the car and headed straight for the bakery entrance. As soon as she walked in she could see Sabine at the counter finishing up with the customer. She smiled slightly at her friend, sitting at a table a little farther from the entrance, watching her friend from afar. She was happy to be able to have a good friendship with Sabine for the last 3 years, a bond that grew out of the relationship of their children. She still didn't understand why the two ended up, however both decided not to give details of the reason and just move on. The last 3 months were hard to see both of them walk away, even though they still felt something strong for each other. They were suffering, each in their own way and in their own corner.

Emilie watched her friend approach, standing up and hugging her tight as Sabine placed the tray on the table. Emilie could see Sabine's tired look, her worried eyes as the two of them sat in their respective seats. She held her hand, squeezing it lightly, but before she even asked what had happened, her friend started talking.

"I didn't know you had returned from London. How is your sister? I thought you would spend more time there…" Sabine said putting a cup next to Emilie and taking another for herself with some tea.

"Amelie is great and I ended up spending too much time there. Adrien was pretty wrapped up with college and with the two of them over, I thought I'd better return. He's been pretty reclusive for the last month."

"There's not much we can do, unfortunately. They're adults Em, they need to know what to do and if they need us we'll be there to help." She said after drinking some of her tea.

"I know it's just that… " she paused leaving her cup on the table "Am I the only one who sees that the two of them are getting hurt?"

Sabine took a deep breath before answering, but before she even started to speak she heard the bakery door slam, looking in the direction, seeing a young man her daughter's age come running towards her.

"Peter? Why are you here?" She said in surprise, arching her eyebrow.

"Aunt Sabine! Glad I found you here. I wasn't going to leave that stubborn one alone in the hospital and I came to stay with her. Only she refuses for two days to give me any information. I was going straight to the hospital but I thought it was better to stop by to ask your permission."

"Oh my darling." she said smiling " I'm so glad you came, even though I knew she didn't want anyone there…" she said getting up and hugging the boy who was much bigger than her.

"She's almost a sister... I wouldn't leave her alone now…" Peter replied, hugging her tight. In a way Sabine was very reminiscent of his aunt. Not that they were physically similar, but because of their posture and, sometimes, their way of acting and speaking.

"Hospital?" Emilie looked at Sabine without understanding what was happening, taking a deep breath before speaking.

"Marinette will have surgery in 3 hours. She's already in the hospital, Luka just texted me a warning. We were just finishing things around here and we're heading there. It was all very fast since we found out she was sick until they scheduled the surgery...."

"I was at the company yesterday and Adrien told me she was going on vacation?" Emilie looked at Sabine confused, trying to understand how this information didn't reach her. "As I understand it, everyone at the company thinks she’s on vacation…"

"She didn't want to tell anyone there and asked me to avoid telling other people" she said feeling Peter put his arm around the eldest shoulders, in a sign of support  "She's in a difficult process, she said she doesn't want anyone worried anymore with her or for people to stop what they need to do to help her. She's closing down more and more... Peter and Luka are one of the few people she's been talking to." She sighed, lowering her head slightly. "I'm sorry for the lack of manners, Emilie…" she said, hugging the boy from the side "this is Peter Parker, a great friend of Mari, he lives in New York."

Peter extended his hand to greet the woman in front of him "It's a pleasure to meet you ma'am. Mars always speaks with great affection and admiration of you…"

" She told me about you... " Emilie smiled slightly at the boy, still showing a slight confusion and frustration in her face "How did she say... "if it wasn't for him I would be lost in New York until today”. " she smiled slightly at the memory, turning her attention to Sabine "What happened to her?

"Peter, why don't you keep your things in Mari's old room? Tom and I are leaving in a little while to go to the hospital and you're coming with us, okay?" He nodded quickly, heading towards the back of the bakery, greeting Tom quickly and heading towards the apartment at the top.

"She has a brain tumor, found out when she got back from New York a little over a month ago…" Sabine started talking as soon as she sat down again. "The doctors said that the surgery despite being very aggressive has a success rate of almost 100% but that the recovery is expected to be slow." Sabine took a deep breath, drinking a little more of the tea to calm down " it all happened so fast. One day she was fine and the next we were in the hospital after she had a bad headache and passed out. " Sabine started to cry as her friend held her hand to reassure her that she was there to help her. "She didn't want to tell anyone and with all the rush of exams that went on in the last month…"

"Hey, calm down Sabine... It's okay, it's going to be okay! She is a young woman, strong and it is obvious that she will be alright!" Emilie said, looking her friend in the eye "do you want me to go to the hospital with you?"

"No, you don't have to. She didn't want to tell anyone, if there are a lot of people there she'll get agitated" she sighed wiping her tears  "I'll call you to let you know how the procedure went. All going well, the doctor said she should stay a little more than a week in the hospital." Sabine squeezes her friend's hand lightly, getting up and follows. "I need to go, she made me promise that we were going to leave the bakery open with Jonas taking care, because according to her, life can't stop because she's sick."

"Be well and send me news as soon as possible." She said hugging her friend "if you need me let me know! I'll come back later so we can talk better." They said goodbye briefly, with Emilie leaving the bakery and getting in the car heading straight for the company, while Sabine went to organize herself to leave as soon as possible to the hospital.

Emilie arrived at the company going straight to her son's room. Adrien was one of the directors and, despite not having finished college, he was doing very well at what he did. She glanced at the watch on her wrist and from the time she knew he still hadn't left for his late-morning classes. She knocked lightly on the door before entering, seeing him reading some documents on the computer.

"Adrien, my dear. I didn't see you when you left this morning…" she said as she entered and headed towards the table, sitting in a chair right in front of her son "I just met Sabine." She said putting her bag on the chair next to him, looking at him.

"I didn't know you were going there... How are they? I confess that I haven't been there since Mari and I broke up." - He finished the sentence with a low voice, sighing and turning his attention to her mother. "Did something happen? you usually come back excited from it."

"When was the last time you and Mari talked? Sabine told me she's in the hospital, checked in this morning... Did you know that Mari is sick?"

"What do you mean is Mari sick? What happened to her?" He got up from his chair, heading towards his mother, sitting next to her. He looked at her worriedly, trying to understand what she was talking about "mom, Mari was here in a meeting two days ago, I don't know what you're talking about."

"Marinette is going into surgery in two hours." She said, passing her hand on her son's face "Sabine didn't give me details, but from what I understand it's not very simple. She's going to have a tumor removed…"

Adrien leaned back in his chair, looking at the wall behind his mother not really knowing what to say and what was going on. "We haven't spoken directly in a month or so… she hinted that she didn't want to talk to me at the moment and had been avoiding me for the last few weeks. She didn't tell me anything." He spoke in a devastated voice, running a hand through his hair. "We had an argument when she got back from New York, I said I was sorry, that I wish we... I shouldn't and didn't want to break up with her…"

"Oh Adrien, I'm so sorry... but if you guys talked why…"

"She said you can't forget what was said and, honestly, you can't go back with the words I said. I said things to her when we broke up that she didn't deserve to hear, not after all she's done for me... When we spoke last time she made it very clear that she needed space and time for us to talk again…"

"Do you want to talk about it? We can try …" - She said hugging his son.

"No, I definitely don't want to talk about it." He took a deep breath moving away from Emilie "Do you have news of where and how she is?"

"No honey... Sabine promised me that she would let me know and give me news when the surgery was over. She asked no one to go there, she said her daughter didn't want anyone to know…" She said, rubbing her son's face, removing some tears that had fallen. "It's going to be okay and as soon as I have news I'll pass it on to you. Do you want me to stay here a little longer?"

"Thanks Mom." He took a deep breath "if you want to go, I'll be fine here. I don't think I'm going out today. I highly doubt I'll be able to do anything before I hear from her."

"Alright then I'll go to my office and take the opportunity to get you some tea... ok?"

Adrien just nodded, his eyes fixed on the wall in front of him. He sighed, remembering the day he'd realized the biggest mistake he'd ever made in his life.

Flashback

"MyLady, it's a pleasure as always to see you here…" He smiled in her direction "You've been missing for a long time since we've seen each other, were you still in training with the order?"

"Hello Chatton. My training ended a few months ago, but with the rush of everyday life I didn't have time for night outings" she laughed weakly "I was very immersed in work that was delayed precisely because of training."

"Did something happen? Any specific reason to call me?" He looked at her from afar. She was depressed, lacking the smile that always accompanied and lit up her face. Something must have happened. He watched the woman he loved so much sit on the only sofa in the empty living room, in front of a large window that overlooked a park with the Eiffel Tower in the background. It was the highest floor of the building and the view from the place was beautiful.

"I brought you here to talk to you about something important. A few months ago, Bunnix took me to the future to solve a problem. Not to mention things that could interfere in the future and to give a brief summary, an ancient secret organization called the League of Assassins managed to get hold of some miraculous and it can be said that things got out of control very quickly." she paused looking at him seriously "I need you to avoid going out like Chat Noir as much as possible. I know how important this is to you, but unless we have more information, it's best to keep the Miraculous as hidden as possible."

Chat's eyes widened in surprise at her comment, processing what was said. "Do you think there's any chance they're after us? I remember you commenting on them some time ago…"

"I don't know... But I'm trying to see the options we have. If they go after the Miraculous, the first place they'll look is…"

"Paris!" He completed her sentence sitting on the sofa next to her" especially after the news had become international. "He paused thinking about the matter" As the identities of the other wilders were not disclosed they will have no problems...

"I don't think so either... At the moment only Fluff, Tikki and Plagg are active, I don't think that's a problem." She paused, trying to direct the conversation as best she could. "Adrien, I brought you here because with the training of the order I was able to magically create something similar to the dimension that exists for the Kwamis and I want to try to give you access to it. You will be able to put anything in there, however you will only be able to take it out if it was something you put in. Just like you won't be able to take anyone inside... If you realize you're at risk, you'll be able to access the room from anywhere."

Ladybug stood up walking into the apartment, stopping in front of a door and reciting brief words with her hand on the door handle. When she was done, she opened the door, revealing a place resembling a small library, with books, a small sofa, table, and a chair. She took Chat Noir's hand, placing it over the invisible wall that restricted his passage in the room. After she spoke a few more words, which he couldn't quite make out, his hand went through the invisible barrier, allowing him through the door.

"Uow MyLady .... This is very ... " he looked at the place and was impressed, turning to her "I really appreciate you trusting me like that."

"I trust you for almost everything Adrien… " he turned around quickly "I call this place pocket dimension. The entire apartment is protected with some spells to prevent the place from having any kind of unwanted visitors. The magic placed here was made precisely so that those who are outside see mundane things even though it is discreet and difficult to track…"

Chat Noir looked at her somehow, a little hurt by the words, but he would come back to that question later "Whose apartment is it? How long have you been organizing all this?" He looked at her, seeing her turn towards him.

"I started to think about it when I was finishing my training in order. The apartment is in my name... there's something else I need to talk to you about before we leave. I'm going away on a trip and I don't know when I'll be back. Probably a month from now, or a little longer I think…"

"LB, what happened? You're down…" He said, looking at her intently. Ladybug was always a very energetic person and despite her insecurity when they were younger she always knew what to do and seeing her the way she was made him feel devastated.

She sat in the closest chair, still looking straight ahead "Some personal issues that came up…" Ladybug looked at him pointing to the spot next to her "My boyfriend and I ended our relationship after three years and things are a little complicated. Can you say that I'm still adapting?"

"Relationships are difficult. I know you liked him a lot from the few times we talked, but maybe it was for the better?" he said, sighing "It seems that these last few days have not been very good for either of us. My girlfriend and I broke up too. But if you want to talk, I'm all ears…" He said sitting next to her.

"There's not much to say, we can't change what people feel" she smiled weakly making a brief pause "But why did you break up?"

"Marinette is a wonderful person and I like her a lot, don't get me wrong, it was probably the hardest decision I made. But it didn't make sense to be with her thinking about someone else" he finished the sentence looking directly at her, the hint of his words being perceptible.

Ladybug closed her eyes lightly, letting a tear fall, wiping it away in the same instant he felt it. After a few moments she took a deep breath opening her eyes so she felt calmer. "When I told you that you wouldn't love the person under that mask you never really believed it... You always said you'd recognize me anywhere." he looked at her without understanding, seeing her get up and go towards the door, stopping without even turning to him "eight days ago you broke up with me because I wasn't the person with this mask. I'm sorry I was a little skeptical and emotional about what you just said, but it's a little hard to believe you at the moment.” She spoke without a hint of anger or resentment.

Adrien stood looking at her, not understanding what she was saying, when he finally registered what she had said. He sees all the glamour of the suit fall, the presence of the person in front of him being clear. His expression changed from confusion to desperation in seconds. 

No... It couldn't be. He blinked a few times quickly, when he finally managed to react "Mari… ? No…"

"When you want to get out of here, just put your hand on the doorknob and think about where you want to go. When you open the door, you will be in the exact place you thought, as long as it is empty." she said putting her hand on the doorknob, taking a deep breath without looking at him" See you another time Adrien …"  she opened the door and he could see her room just before she closed the door behind her.

here we go again! So my dear friend azv2448 from ao3 made me once again a fic request and who am I to refuse this work of art?

Let us begin!

Marinette was in pain at the hospital, how did she get there you may ask? Well let's wind it back to earlier that day shall we... Marinette has arrived early to school since her boyfriend Damien came to visit with his family to be with her, she was wearing a new design she worked on and was so happy that day as Damien complimented her hard work on the outfit (heard by Rose, Juleka and Ivan) before she heads to her locker to grab and put away her things.

After a while she got a text from her boyfriend who claimed his brother's were fighting, Luka and Kagami came at that moment and spoke about Damien (heard by Max, Kim and Alix) Mari got into a conversation on the Wayne's being here and described each of them to the two before heading for class, this is where once again Lila lies about her connections... This time on the Wayne's, Alya begged Lila to get her an interview but Lila claimed that they were in Spain at the moment... Which was destroyed by Alix, Max and Kim who revealed that Mari knew them and that on there social media accounts... All of them were saying how they were in Paris for Damien to see his girlfriend.

Lila did not like those three after that...

Class went on without a fuss after that, Caline did look towards Marinette to make her fix things between the four but she simply focused on her notes instead, lunch came around and Mari dashed to the bakery to eat with her boyfriend... Ignoring Adrien's call to make her stop so they could talk, Lila began to lie about the outfit Mari was wearing "Alya... The outfit that Mari is wearing well... I made it and she stole it from me!" she was only able to cry for a few seconds before the members of Kitty Section revealed what they saw and heard between Mari and Damien on the outfit.

Lila began to glare at a good number of her classmates when Mari came back from lunch, she was confused of course but it wasn't any of her business to begin with, so she went to her seat and prepared to take notes... Only for Adrien to sit next to her... Close to her, she didn't like it to be honest and would repeatedly ask him to move away from and about how he was too close to her, miss Mendeleiev ended up telling Adrien to sit away from Marinette or she would have him switch seats with another classmate.

He sat still and away from her after that...

Before class ended, her left her a note, she read that he wanted to tell her something after class so she decided to see what this was about, so when she was at her locker, she texted Damien that she had to talk to Adrien and then they could head to the bakery, she waited by the steps for him, she noticed his ride was already there as he ran over to her, he panted a bit but she waited patiently for him to say what he had to say, he then stood straight as Nathalie called for him to get in the car for a photoshoot "Marinette Dupain-Cheng" he said making her look at him confused.

"I really like you... I've had a crush on you since Alya said you had a crush on me... Won't go out with me and become my girlfriend?" he asked with his usual bright smile, Adrien was so excited for this! Ladybug has none stop rejected him... This made him see that she wasn't as perfect as he thought she was in his eyes, as a result he decided to try and find someone better, then one day at lunch Alya decided to reveal to everyone at school that Mari had a huge crush on Adrien... Making him see how perfect and better she was then Ladybug.

Mari on the other hand... Was so confused, she had already moved on from Adrien before telling him that they were no longer friends now that she knew which side he was on, after that she focused more on herself and her relationship with Damien, she sighed and simply rejected him with a simple "No" then she left to join Damien who was coming over and left for the bakery... Without knowing what Adrien was thinking at the moment.

After that... Mari began to receive videos and pictures from Adrien, he would claim that either she agrees to go out with him and then to date him... Or he would ruin her life. The videos were pretty much of Lila showing torn up clothes and things she owns and claiming Mari did this to everything, she was also claiming that Mari has been stealing her designs... If someone believed her then Mari would lose her future as a designer... As for the pictures, they were of Adrien, he had bruises, nail marks and hickeys on his body.

Even an idiot would know that these pictures were to claim that Adrien is being forced into sexual conduct with someone and they were physically harming him to keep quiet... He was planning to claim that she was the one doing all of this, she sighed as she forward everything to the Wayne lawyers to take care of this for her... No way was she going to stress over all of this just because Adrien want's to date her now.

Damien would tell her that everything would be alright soon, Adrien would be punished in the end, but then Lila became worst with her lies about Mari and Alya was the main person to attack the sweet girl... And then everything went out of control.

Adrien confronted Mari at the steps, Nathalie was once again outside the car telling Adrien that they needed to go now, he was yelling at Mari, demanding for her to date him or he would lie to the public that she was a rapist and a thief... But she refused, told him that even if he did... He would lose the Agreste brand in the end.

So... He pushed her down the stairs...

The effect was instant, Nathalie screamed in horror at what Adrien just did, Tim called for an ambulance as Jason and Dick began to do a bit of first aid on Mari, Bruce began yelling at Nathalie that he would sue the Agreste brand for all they are worth for what Adrien did to the future miss Wayne... All the while Damien was trying to control his anger.

Mari was rushed to the hospital to be treated, her parents were terrified of the bad news that might be given to them about there sweet little girl, Damien just began to lose it with his anger... Causing him to be akumatized into Nightmare (he is dressed a little like a combination of his Robin outfit and the Batman outfit but black and styled a bit more for League of Assassins) he then left to punish Lila, Alya and Adrien for everything they did to his sweet angel.

He showed them no mercy, he outed each of them as he grabbed them... Lila was taken by the police to be seen by a judge to decide her faith, Alya was yelled at by her parents as multiple lawsuits were being made at her blog posts and Adrien was now looked at with hatred as he disappointed all of Paris as Cat Noir as Nightmare took the ring... Then he grabbed Hawkmoth and Nathalie and revealed the butterfly and peacock miraculous they used.

Both of them were arrested that same day...

Then... Nightmare did something no one has ever seen... He took out the akuma himself and destroyed it... All on live TV for all of Paris to see, when Damien returned to the hospital, Mari was awake with only a minor concussion from the fall by some miracle (Tikki secretly healed her before any scans were done on her holder) in a matter of weeks things changed... Lila was deported back to Italy to suffer for her lies and actions, the Ladyblog was shut down and Alya was banned from ever making another blog, the Agreste brand was transferred to Marinette who renamed it MDC, Gabriel and Nathalie were in jail and Adrien was sent to London where he now lives with his aunt Amélie and his cousin Felix.

Hell was truly... Brought down on them...

(Iron dad au, Damianette, classsalt, assgreste, so yah, Marinette had dated Adrian Assgreste and it was a very toxic relationship, stark didn't know about this till a week before they broke up, Sabine and tom had died so stark, and Pepper came to take Marinette with them back to New York they also found out about the class bullying Mari physically and emotionally, so they took Mari out also cause assgreste had started to forcefully make her "his", when she left she started school at midtown high, where her and peter started a sibling bond especially when peter became starks intern, so stark had to go to a Gala and decided to take Marinette with him, as soon as Mari and Damian met they hit it off, the batfam were surprised and Stark had figured this might happen, so we started dating 3 months after that, Damian does know what her class and EX has done to her(he wanted to kill em all, all the Waynes did, peter does not know about Adrien), so this week is a event that midtown decided to host, its where 2 classes from 2 schools would visit midtown for 3 weeks and it so happens the classes are Damians class and Mari's old class, so MPs in this is Damian, Peter, Ned, Mj, Chloe(Shocker), Jon(he is in Damians class). the bat's and the Avenger's were ticked to find out that Marinette's old class was coming, onto this shot(also I fell in love with this song, its helping me design a rose tattoo, i love making tattoo's and drawing))

Mari's P.O.V

all the classes are in the gym for a announcement, I looked over to see Adrien staring at me, I shivered and I'm guessing Peter noticed and so he looked to where I was looking and saw Agreste, Peter came to me and said "don't worry Mari, he wont get to you with me here" I nod and smile a little then the teacher comes in

Teacher: Alright I called you all here because we will be doing a singing contest sign up if you would like to participate, you may wright a song or sing one that has already been made but id love to here ones that tell an experience or story, so please if you can do that.

then the teacher walks out, I decided to sign up and sing a song I had wrote a while back that would tell everyone a little about my story 

after that Adrien came up to me "Purrincess why are you here and not with your Prince?" I stiffened at his words "leave me alone Adrien." I glared at him, one of the things I learned from Damian, he went a little pale, so I started to walk again, but Adrdrien snapped out of it and gripped my arm to where it started to bleed, then someone punched Adrien and pulled me into a hug I looked up to see who it was and I was met with green emerald eyes "Agreste, you do not touch my Angel" soon Peter, Mj, Ned, and Chloe showed up "leave!" Damian glares at Agreste using his bat glare, "tch" then he walks away, Damian looked down at me with a worried look "Angel, can I see your arm" I just nod and show them my arm, I heard them gasp then Damian wrapped my arm up.

time skip to the day of the performance

it was cloudy so we couldn't see the sun, the performance was held in the gardens, everyone has gone Lila sung about her and she sounded like nails on a blackboard, Alya sounded like a dying squeal, and Agreste just sounded horrible, but they were praised by my old class, I looked out and saw the bats, Dad, Mom, and the MPS, I was called to the stage, I heard Lila say I probably sounded horrible and the class agreed with it I got a little scared at that point but then something unexpected happened, someone put their hand on my shoulder and said "You can do it, ignore those losers, I think everyone here but them would agree that you can do it" I looked at who said that and saw flash Tompson smiling at me, yah your probably like 'He's supposed to be rude or a bully' well he saw how my old class acted and realized he was the same, so he apologiesed to all the kids he had picked on or bullied so he apologiesed to Peter and I we told him well give him a second chance so he's been a lot nicer, after that i thanked him and walked to the stage and began.
