Daydreaming and alterhumanity, and how they intersect

(As a disclaimer, this essay assumes familiarity with both subjects and relating terminology. If you find a word you don't know, feel free to look it up on your own.)

On the surface, it may seem like neuronarration and alterhumanity are two quite different experiences. In one, you fully realize that you are merely an author watching events play out in your head - it's a world you tend to just visit, voluntarily or not. And alterhumanity is the trait of being nonhuman/an alternative identity consistently in your waking, non-dissociated state. But some of you may already be catching the parallels.

Most people perceive their daydreams from the point of view of their parame. In that moment, when you are immersed in the world around you, emotionally (and perhaps even spiritually) you are that parame. You feel it on every level, and many even report a feeling similar to dysphoria when that feeling is interrupted. So of course, it's no wonder that sometimes this connection will persist into the daily life outside of daydreams.

It's quite a common experience to use alterhumanity as a method of escapism, too. And even shifting just rhymes too well with the daydreaming immersion. For many alterhumans, trying to recall their other life can involve vividly perceiving the occasionally quite narratively dramatic events that happened. The two experiences are quite different, but it's easy to see how the line would blur for some.

Both daydreaming and alterhumanity come in a variety of shapes and forms, both involuntary and by choice.

In particular is of interest the veritbonding part of daydreaming that quite a few people experience - it's a case where neuronarration and soulbonding mix together, and I& think it demonstrates the way that daydreaming influences the life of the neuronarrator outside of the fantasy.

All this is to say that neuronarration can very easily become an integral part of your identity. I wouldn't be surprised if perhaps the other way around was possible too, alterhumanity turning into neuronarration, although I& myself& have not heard of such cases.

Now as for my& own experiences with this, I& have felt for quite a long time like my& parames were more than just parames - they were me& directly, on a deeper level.

When you experience the life of someone through their eyes and feel every bit of what's happening to them, when you don't just observe but also act and make decisions as that character, at some point you get attached. At some point, for me&, I& started feeling like the words I& had were insufficient.

And after looking around and seeing that nothing really fit, I& turned to the alterhuman community and, although still not relating entirely in every way, I& think I& found the path for me& to take with my& approach to my& parames.

I& hope this resonates with others who feel that these two subjects intersect, and would love to hear your stories or thoughts on this!

what about Starchaser Dark Academia AU, where Reggie is this dark and mysterious PhD student of ancient architecture or classical literature or something on that genre and everyone, i mean EVERYONE has a crush on him

he writes poems, does these intricate extremely detailed research papers, and generally is a marvelous writer

then one day his professor has all these class papers at home to correct and grade and she falls asleep. when her son goes to put a blanket over her he notices a scrap of paper hanging out of this neat stack and reaches for it. his eyes go wide as he reads and decides to keep it

couple weeks later, there is a small concert in a local bar, full of students. Reggie is there very unwillingly, his frends dragged him out for a beer, to have fun once in a while. he is ready to sneek out once his friends are too busy chatting to notice, but then he hears it and freezes

the guitar player on the stage just sang his poem in a song

In an attempt to cope with the ending, I've been thinking about Pride and Prejudice.

In the book, Mr. Darcy's first proposal to Elizabeth goes like this; he just enters the room, walks around the room for a while, then he 'came towards her in an agitated manner and thus began,

"In vain I have struggled. It will not do. My feelings will not be repressed. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you."

Elizabeth's shocked into silence, and Mr. Darcy continues to tell her about his feelings, his struggle with her inferiority and so on, confident that she would not refuse him.

I found how it nicely parallels Crowley's confession, where he's the one doing all the talking and expects Aziraphale to just say yes. And it's not like his beliefs are unfounded- Aziraphale has been throwing himself at Crowley at every opportunity. Why would he refuse them being together?

In P&P, both of them are upset at the end of the confession, and Elizabeth cries after Darcy leaves. Reminds you of a certain scene, no? please don't kill me

If we are to continue this Austen-esque route, I'm very, very excited for how the next part will play out. Many have pointed out how there are both elements from Emma and P&P. While I'm almost certain that the overall structure will adhere to P&P, I'd be delighted if the next season contain references to some of Austen's other works.

In other words, I am saying if there's a scene in (potential) season 3, where Aziraphale is talking to some other angel about how fragile human love is and how one ought to never let it go, then later finds a note by Crowley along the lines of "Idiot. As if I could ever say no. Let's have that picnic, yeah, tomorrow?" I will discorporate on the spot and I will have no regrets.

need to know when exactly hw2 is taking place so that i can work it into my headcanons cause right now its just not fitting at all. a lot of "..unless?" but i wont know until i get the timeline (more under cut i guess. spoiler territory ahead 🚨🚨)

but no for real now. to preface im very forgetful when it comes to fnaf lore and i sometimes miss some plot points and many times they affect my headcanons (once i remember them) but i cant check everything. im just forming my own little timeline with my own ideas i guess, but i still want it to be canon adjacent So!

i believed that its taking place post SB, pre Ruin. which i was super happy with as i was worried it would be pre-SB and not give enough lore that i crave. however, just as ive seen some people say, this didnt help with the lore much, and it just got more confusing for me. still a fantastic game but from a lore point it doesnt give us anything too big or a conclusion (well. maybe one) i also saw people say its post ruin, which i dont agree with but i would agree with during ruin. (when ppl say cassie is the player, i dont think so, need more arguments) its unclear once people bring in other arguments than the obvious roxy's mask or the state of the pizzaplex. but basically as an afton believer its hard for me to work around this, but i will try. never back down never what?

so my hc is iykyk, scraptrap->man in the room->ghost/amalgamation->latching onto tech and the mimic in the form of glitch and burntrap->mimic "shedding" him->wills ghost forming mxes; it also works without the frights books but the afton amalgamation and everything around it is too cool to not use. i fucking love ruinborn afton graaaaah *tears shirt apart* i also liked the idea of his spirit shattering and a piece of it forming glitchtrap for years, and i believe it can coexist with mimic, i think burntrap was real and is both mimic and afton.

now. this game. really messing it up for me as glitchtrap existing post or during burntrap just doesnt make sense, i dont want -trap multiples or something (sounds like the years old 2-3 purple guys theory lmao) but i will look into it as glitchtrap and mxes connection..? honestly, i really expected getting to see burntrap here (or at least mimic shown). was burntrap like retconned or something for real??? also still dont understand when people say burntrap isnt the mimic or whatever. no, it is, just with something a little extra on. and that extra is again, wills ghost or remnant or whatever you wanna call it, symbolized by the bonnie parts on his endo, but theres also flesh so yeah, as funny as it sounds i fuck with the afton homunculus growing over mimic theory. its stupid enough, he would do it.

but i wanna focus on mxes, i knew we wouldnt see the entity in the game, didnt expect it. but i also didnt expect the system to show up, which it did, but obviously not the entity yet as i believe they were formed only after burntrap has been "scooped" by tangle (comparing the scooper mimic ending and the burntrap one as a parallel) i just dont understand how glitchtrap is in here. thats the thing i cant figure out! this is 100% post SB so at that point glitchtrap is just gone. how did we get him back now? only ends up with me reaching with like MEGA SPOILERS the vanny ending crushing glitchtrap being a metaphor of her locking away or deleting the code. extreme reaching would be stuffing it into the mxes system where glitch would turn into the entity. but thats way too loose, but ive seen many people call the mxes entity glitchtrap, which doesnt even work with their theory that glitchtrap is mimic, because the entity is obviously not the mimic. like you have to consider this too, not just mimicmimicmimic but then agree that a glitchy rabbit is similar to another glitchy rabbit

lost my thread of thought. and thought of how this all is just, an end to glitchtrap era and only mimic in the future. well.. without an evil rabbit, fnaf will lose its charm for me, i dont know if vanny!cassie would save it for me, i only want wiwi. more wiwi, no mimi *starts glowing red and then explodes* anyway its not that bad. as long as i get to see the mxes entity again i will be good. and as long as im right about the clickteam game, i will be happy :D

also im intrigued by the fallfest showing up again, i really want to see how the maps look and look at all the details.. but in general the area is either underneath or next to the pizzaplex, the body of water in curse of dreadbear imo is the same as the underground water in ruin and hw2 to me confirmed that it truly is all in one place (goes nowhere with this). i love how the hw2 hub is in the pizzasim building. also, another thing, need to check it out again but i want to see if scrap baby is in a vr level or reality so i can theorize about scraptrap, as in, if at least tangle and scrap baby are still around and real in the plex, it would make sense for scraptrap to not show up because he has gone through digitization /j you know the whole pipeline. and so on and so forth

anyway im gonna pet my dogs and maybe read tse and then get back to hw2 in the afternoon. just getting this out of the system and my brain

So as with all things, I needed to be comprehensive and overly detailed with this. Ill try and hold back from doing too much full song analysis, but I'll quote lyrics and explain why I associate what with who! Tbh I mostly just associate Smiths songs with Martian because I think their music is often really good at capturing the bitterness of a relationship falling apart or love so intense that it's violent, both which I think are very Martian

"You've Got Everything Now" - Martian

To me this is my de facto Martian song, I think about it constantly, I'll probably make a post with it sometime. It's just such a bitter song that's to me about a relationship falling apart. I view it from Mark's perspective.

"As merry as the days were long//I was right and you were wrong." Very petty, very bitter!!

"But you've got everything now//you've got everything now//and what a terrible mess I've made of my life." 2013 vibes, him being fed up with it all, particularly with Seb winning everything.

I used to think of this as only a Martian song but now it kinda makes me think of Brocedes. (To me)It's very much about one person in a friendship/relationship getting more successful and leaving the other behind.

It reminds me of this one Martian fic(x) Again, a relationship deteriorating. How Seb's utter commitment and devotion to winning at all costs caused conflict between them and ultimately led to their relationship falling apart. Mark thinking he'd be seen as the Number One due to his seniority, and then being faced with Seb's no holds barred racing! I guess it's kind've how Mark never seemed to be capable of being as happy for Seb winning as Seb was for Mark. They're both at fault for the same reasons though tbh. But from Seb's perspective this time

Goddddd this song is just Mark's relationship with RBR, and particularly in its relation to Seb, and how he felt post-retirement. Like I can't even really pick lyrics because the whole entire song fits so well! I would love to make a web weave with this

How it got toxic by the end. The "old house" is so RBR coded for any ex-Red Bull driver tbh

This song makes me think of how arduous his career was, especially with how all those records that Hulk has now, were at one point his. Especially after watching the 2009 British GP, just that palpable relief of finally getting his first win. And then also 2010 WDC vibes, finally properly being involved in the fight. Please just let him get what he wants, this time! I dont need to analyze the lyrics for this, just listen to it and tell me it doesn't remind you of Mark!!

Hahaha this song reminds me of his first couple seasons and just the whole "Mad Max" thing. And just how RBR, particularly Christian, have to defend their boy!! Their sweet and tender hooligan!! I think I could make a web weave of this one as well haha, just with how other drivers, like Nico, talked about how much a menace he was.
