I have always been inclined to prolonged and uncontrolled hypnogogia/pompia (and theta wave to a slightly lesser degree) to the point where I tend to spend a significant portion of my sleep oscillating between these stages. I also don’t dream a whole lot, in the deepwave REM sense, but I do experience some pretty strange trance-like altered reality shit that happens in those stages of liminal consciousness that last for hours at a time. And in more recent years I’ve had some issues with sleep paralysis and I’m keen to work on preventing that from taking hold. Considering all these factors I think it’s high time I found a way to weaponize my bullshit sleep cycle. If I can turn my hypnopompic states into controlled rituals it’ll be like breaking the occult sound barrier. Gonna make Dee look like an amateur.
