Ascended Yue Qingyuan and Calamity SJ! Consider this a continuation of Day 2 :) There's their happy ending, they finally meet again. Fits for both prompts tho I drew this with Found in mind.

this was a commission for @lovesodeepandwideandwell! She turned surprise unicorn colors—I used a violet underglaze without testing it, and it turned quite pale and translucent in the firing. Despite the surprise, I'm pleased with the results.

One thing I realized when it comes to the meritocracy proposed in CF/SB is that you kind of have to get rid of crested people and Nabateans. Like Dimitri is regarded as a powerful warrior due to his crest and training‚ he would dominate any physical career (‚ not to mention Hilda as well since in GW she blocks his strike). And while I don't know the exact process of getting crests‚ first gen (non-Nabatean) crest-bearers live a really long time (Willy‚ Jeralt‚ and Yuri) with no perceived (1/2)

Crested people skew the "meritocracy" angle because, even if the game did its best to curb down the ludonarrative experience - unlike FE Jugdral where HB means an unit is better than a non HB unit - it still exists.

Flayn with her crest will always be able to heal a fractured lung by clapping in her hands, when Ignatz would need to use all of his magic because he doesn't get the "boost to healing spells" Flayn's crest gives her.

Same with extended lifespans - let it be training martially, being "wise" or even being a polyglot, by sheer virtue of having at least 200 years on "regular" humans, first gen crest bearers and nabateans would... have more knowledge than Leonie's grandma.

Jerry questioning Rhea about bby!Billy is one of those things that, even if the 10 years of lore existed and were revealed, would never be developed because it was done at the cost of that world's consistency.

As you mentioned, regardless of Jerry knowing what Sitri was or not, Jerry knows he "oddly" older than everyone else and might have the same longevity as the Elites, he should have seen people like him around (cardinals), he lived through the Alliance's birht and Nopes reveals he was around when Rhea faked the death of the "blonde archbishop who was painted by an Adrestian and loved birds".

So unless Rhea indeed called the baby "mother" - which would not match with all the later interactions she has with Billy - there is so much "weirdness" going on with Jerry and/or around him that... suddenly being afraid of Rhea and ditching everything to become a merc with a newborn is either stupid, or plot contrived.

I don't really know whether that negative reaction to it comes from fans who were apart of its infamous fandom (which, from what I have gathered, was. Definitely something), or if it's because of the bigotry in it (Hussie LOVES slurs), but I think treating it as some cursed entity is a little weird? It's just a webcomic. Someone wrote it and then published it online for people to see. Some parts of it are really good, and other parts are really bad. The creator kind of sucks, maybe? I dunno. If you really want to check it out, then I don't think there's any harm in doing so. Honestly, it's had such a massive impact on internet culture and the creation of mixed media works that I almost would say it's better to at least know what it is rather than be scared to engage with it at all, which is pretty true of a lot of works that have shitty parts to them.

...On a personal level, I think there are parts of it that are insanely good and parts that suck absolute ass. I do not regret reading it!

I don't know why I'm like this. This is like many chapters ahead of where I should be writing. But, have it anyway! It's spicy!

Before she has time to be nervous, or start talking to fill the quiet, he kneels at her feet and reaches for one of her ankles. Kitty huffs out a short, surprised laugh and puts both of her hands on his shoulders.

Blaine doesn’t speak as he deftly undoes the small silver buckle of first one shoe, and then the other. At the gentle pressure of his fingers on her calves, she steps out of both, looking down at him as he raises his eyes to her.

He still doesn’t say a word.

Then, his hands…move. He slides his palms slowly, smoothly up the backs of her legs, the backs of her thighs, his thumbs rounding the fronts of her hipbones as he stands to full height, gathering the skirt of her dress as he goes. With every inch, Kitty feels a flush rise higher on her cheeks. Her breath grows shallow.

“Arms up,” he rasps.

She obliges, raising her arms and letting him lift her dress over her head. Next, he tugs out her hair pins, and the long, dark length of her hair falls down her back. She shivers lightly—standing in front of him in the slight chill of the Romero’s dining room in nothing but her bra and panties.

Blaine steps back and looks her over, slowly, head to toe. He’s muttering under his breath again, a litany that she doesn’t recognize. Kitty isn’t sure if he’s asking for forgiveness or praying gratitude, but the look of beatific concentration on his face makes her want to either preen under his gaze or bolt from the room—she can’t decide which. She needs to even the playing field, because she feels too exposed, off-kilter, with him fully dressed in front of her. So she swallows thickly and reaches for his tuxedo jacket.

He stops her, pressing both of her hands flat to his still-clothed chest. “Oh, no. As much as I want your hands on me, kitten, I don’t think I can hold back if it actually happens.” His voice is suddenly very shaky. “So let’s just take care of you, hmmm?”

He tugs her hands up around his neck and, bending, lifts her from under the backs of her thighs to deposit her on top of the piano. She laughs nervously as the keys jangle under the closed fallboard. Then, Blaine steps into the vee of her legs and presses himself to her. Two things happen—Kitty becomes breathlessly aware of the fact that Blaine is very obviously hard under his expensive dress pants, and he cups her chin, tilts her face away from him, and leans down to start a slow, soft pattern of kisses down her neck.

Everything in her sings at the touch of his lips.

Finally.

It’s not a kiss, but she thanks every deity she can name as he opens his mouth over her pulse point and licks in soft, lingering passes, punctuated by gentle, occasional suction that makes her full-body shiver at the feeling of the barest edges of his front teeth.

She squirms against him. He starts back up her neck.

So, so dangerous.

Oh, it’s danger that is caged and held back, but it’s still there.

i was watching a music video for a japanese song and it had built in youtube english captions so i went to turn those on but then i saw that there was like an option for "English" and then a second option for "English (Canada)" and i realized in a few seconds it was just a workaround to having two sets of english captions, one with colour changes in the lettering and one without for accessibility (the canada one was the non-fancy lettering) but for a moment i was living in a world where they were making dedicated canadian english translations for things..... measuring temperature in celsius and height in feet...... paying with loonies and toonies... going to the WASHROOM

I decided to give a go to @niennanir’s lovely print-your-own-fic recipe on my Inside and Out as a test run and I’m quite pleased with the results as a first pass :D

I wish I’d taken a few more process pictures but there was a slight lull as I had to go shopping for 12x12 cardstock lol, but! I do have a couple closeups/extras that I added for funsies :D

I went with freehanding the title and I think in the future I would opt to not do that lol, at least not without a printed template. That said, both LibreOffice and SAI refuse to recognize my SCII fonts >:0 If you notice on the first page, I used the Ace Attorney font in italic haha, it’s an okay alternative even if it’s not what I actually want |0 I am happy with the gold detailing tho :3c

I did have an unconscionable amount of fun freehanding the ship caption tho ahh <3 <3 Immediate happy stims upon completion, their names together look so pretty ♥ Credit to Zarla’s original minicomic on that one :3

I also managed to get the last sentence of the fic isolated on the last page thanks to the formatting haha ♪

I was also able to add a bookmark! Ma happened to have a couple very thin ribbons to choose from and red ended up complementing the green very prettily!

my arfid's really bad these days, so theres only two or three items i can eat rn, so im suuuper exhausted from not getting proper food 😔👊🏼 it usually comes and goes in waves, so im hoping itll be easier with safe foods again asap !!!! 🧡

but one recipe ill share today is a really easy way to cheat some veggies inside the tummy without having to eat them bland!! its mostly a side dish i eat with rice and some tofu/meat (fried chicken and rice is rly good with this).

take any frozen veggies you like (theyre soo good to always have a stock of vegs). i usually go with like a mix of broccoli, cauliflower and carrots bcos they come in like, the same mixed bag (i dont like cauliflower except in this). i also often add green beans and then sometimes a mixed bag of root veggies like celeriac, beets, yams and turnips but i dont have those around often so literally. mix and match whatever u want/have in stock !!!

put them in a pan where you turn the heat on low to let them thaw. when theyre semi-thawed i like to take a scissor and cut them into smaller bites but thats just preference! (tho making sure theyre all of similar-ish sizes ensures even cooking) then when theyre all thawed, i take a ton of butter onto the pan and then medium-ish heat, pushing it around once in a while

while that cooks slowly, i start chopping an onion and like. 8-9 cloves of garlic !! (lmao, dont come for me i love garlic)

then take a measuring cup and mix soy sauce, thyme, chili (as little or as much as youd like), garlic powder, onion powder, paprika (any kind is fine) and some pepper. also add a sort of sweetener that you can handle! my friend uses oyster sauce but im allergic so i use sugar or honey. if youre feeling fancy, add a little sesame oil and some roasted sesame seeds, and then finally half of the garlic you chopped up.

by now the veggies should be throughougly warm and semi cooked, so you can turn up the heat just a little to let excess water evaporate if theres any left. add the onions and the rest of the garlic and mix around.

finally, pour half of the sauce into the pan and mix, let it cook a little and then add the final half of the sauce a few minutes before serving. and ur done!!!!!

the longest part is thawing it up. but i always make a giant portion of this, and then freeze it in dinner portions that i can just reheat on a pan or microwave another day. it takes me around 15-20mins total with the slow dethawing. a little longer if im also cooking something else and shifting my focus !!

My tradition for when I start a new obscure anime is to always go on ao3 to see if there’s a tag and the reaction from me is always one of three things:

“Oh wow this tag actually has surprisingly decent amount of stuff even if it hasn’t been updated much as of late. Still not 100 fics or anything but good to see about 20 that aren’t crossovers.”

“Oh there’s like- one fic in this tag huh. And it was years ago… And everything else is crossovers for some god foresaken reason. I’m gonna have to write something for this eventually.”

“Why the FUCK does this not have a tag do I really have to do this myself?!”

And the only reason I’m not writing more fics for everything I watch since they tend to fall under the second and third option or even if they don’t I end up liking what I watched a lot is because a red robot looms in my mind preventing me to write anything else- Also I’d get really exhausted from carrying so many fandoms when getter already drags me oml.

the chromium base vs firefox argument on here is so tiring. theyre more or less the same in privacy terms, ESPECIALLY with no settings tweaks and any nonzero amount of extensions. obv the main chrome is worse, but brave browser is objectively more privacy centric than basic firefox lol. chromium fork ≠ evil google spyware

if we're talking decent privacy browsing, firefox is only better than chrome, but only bc it isnt google (and therefore some of your habits are separated from whatever else google knows about you) theres no anti fingerprinting measures and most people install a shitton of uniquely identifying extensions anyway. if using tor is unrealistic/pointless for you (i.e. you do a lot of irl shopping/banking/work /school stuff), mullvad browser is the 2nd best (all the anti fingerprinting measures of the tor browser without running on the onion network) or librewolf gives that firefox feel with slightly better than stock anti fingerprinting measures (providing u dont just install a bunch of useless extensions/turn off all the privacy measures)

there are obviously layers, and using firefox is better than using chrome, but it is kind of ridiculous to say that chrome forks are all as bad as mainline chrome. they aren't, and some are actually more privacy conscious than firefox! wild
