Who would like to own a property that's name literally translates to "Fart?" The late owner was a retired, decorated Viet Nam navy veteran from Brooklyn, NYC, who fell in love with the Terlingua, TX Ghost Town. The property is up for sale for $1.3M.
Every year he had a fundraiser to benefit the Fire Department and the EMS, called The Rocket Fuel Party.
Inside the fence is a full-size conning tower of a submarine, a replica of a sailing ship, and a small Statue of Liberty that lights up at night.
The owner's name was Jimmy and he began building a fleet.
He also built a propane-powered volcano and tiki bar to complete the south seas feel.
The submarine USS Thresher (SSN-593) was the lead boat of her class of nuclear-powered attack submarines in the United States Navy. She was the U.S. Navy's second submarine to be named after the thresher shark. On 10 April 1963, Thresher sank during deep-diving tests about 350 km (220 mi) east of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, killing all 129 crew and shipyard personnel aboard.
That's most of the history of Passing Wind.
The property has fallen into disrepair and needs a new owner to bring it back to life. This is the closest structure that I can see that looks like it was the tiki bar.
Here's the trailer Jimmy must've lived in. It looks to be in good shape from the outside.
And, there's also this building.
The land is 3.44 acres. I guess the new owner would have to be interested in military history enough to want to invest in making an attraction dedicated to it. I have no idea if this would be a tourist destination.

23 February 2023
02.23.2023 – this is a nice, round number for a date – just realized it as I was typing the date in the headline for this post. I’m getting to the end of the run of show for this recent season I’ve been on since beginning of January and damn, I’m exhausted. The overall feeling of exhaustion comes from a jam-packed schedule that is not up to us as crew members and it’s been a lot – and the fact…

Okay, so this is what you're buying here. A huge 10.9 acre plot of land, out in the middle of nowhere, in the Huachuca Mountains of Hereford, AZ; a 2013 Keystone camper; and a gated 250' lighted mine. $374,900.
Here's your trailer and the entrance to the mine. I don't know why they call it a mine, it just looks like they made a cave. (Like, what are you gonna be mining? Copper? Diamonds?)
Camper's a little dated, but in good condition.
And, here's your gated cave. The gate looks decorative, custom made.
It does have lights. Don't forget to put on your hardhat.
And, this is it.
There're some neighbors scattered around.
The neighbors have homes.
But, you'd be sitting up above them on your mountain in your camper & cave.
Lookin' like some kind 'a weirdo.

On of my valley quail got out and was on the lamb all week. We set a trap for him, he went in, then he busted up the trap and fucked off for 3-4 days around the neighborhood. He came back and loafed around under his buddies' cage next to a big bush for a few days.
I had no idea how I was going to catch him (he did not roost under the cage or in the bush at night, so he must have been sleeping in the neighbor's tree & I was too afraid to use a cat trap in case he was faster than it was and it crunch him) and was like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ he's sticking around in the yard, the nesting crows are keeping the hawks out of the area and he clearly knows about the cat/how to evade her, I'll get my chance eventually.
This morning he apparently got tired of waiting for me to do something and strolled right on into the house when my dad left the back door open for the dog. This bird is NOT tame, he's NEVER been kept in the house, he had to come in here ON PURPOSE there's no way to accidentally do it.
Anyway, his ploy worked; he was caught in short order and put back in the pen with his buddies, where he is happily chilling.

Numbers 27: God Tells Moses To Give Zelophehad's Daughters His Property And Their Inheritance
1 The daughters of Zelophehad son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Makir, the son of Manasseh, belonged to the clans of Manasseh son of Joseph. The names of the daughters were Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milkah and Tirzah. They came forward
2 and stood before Moses, Eleazar the priest, the leaders and the whole assembly at the entrance to the tent of meeting and said,
3 “Our father died in the wilderness. He was not among Korah’s followers, who banded together against the Lord, but he died for his own sin and left no sons.
4 Why should our father’s name disappear from his clan because he had no son? Give us property among our father’s relatives.”
5 So Moses brought their case before the Lord,
6 and the Lord said to him,
7 “What Zelophehad’s daughters are saying is right. You must certainly give them property as an inheritance among their father’s relatives and give their father’s inheritance to them.
8 “Say to the Israelites, ‘If a man dies and leaves no son, give his inheritance to his daughter.
9 If he has no daughter, give his inheritance to his brothers.
10 If he has no brothers, give his inheritance to his father’s brothers.
11 If his father had no brothers, give his inheritance to the nearest relative in his clan, that he may possess it. This is to have the force of law for the Israelites, as the Lord commanded Moses.’”
Joshua to Succeed Moses
12 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go up this mountain in the Abarim Range and see the land I have given the Israelites.
13 After you have seen it, you too will be gathered to your people, as your brother Aaron was,
14 for when the community rebelled at the waters in the Desert of Zin, both of you disobeyed my command to honor me as holy before their eyes.” (These were the waters of Meribah Kadesh, in the Desert of Zin.)
15 Moses said to the Lord,
16 “May the Lord, the God who gives breath to all living things, appoint someone over this community
17 to go out and come in before them, one who will lead them out and bring them in, so the Lord’s people will not be like sheep without a shepherd.”
18 So the Lord said to Moses, “Take Joshua son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit of leadership, and lay your hand on him.
19 Have him stand before Eleazar the priest and the entire assembly and commission him in their presence.
20 Give him some of your authority so the whole Israelite community will obey him.
21 He is to stand before Eleazar the priest, who will obtain decisions for him by inquiring of the Urim before the Lord. At his command he and the entire community of the Israelites will go out, and at his command they will come in.”
22 Moses did as the Lord commanded him. He took Joshua and had him stand before Eleazar the priest and the whole assembly.
23 Then he laid his hands on him and commissioned him, as the Lord instructed through Moses.
