people inflate unrealistic levels of aggression between zhongli and neuvillette on a such personal level when in reality all of the negative projections we're conflating with these two (regarding the dragon-archon clash) would likely be more associated with Ei (or at least at the heightened level powerscalers project on neuvili) 😭

this isn't an Ei hate post, just pointing out her own past mistakes and flaws that would clash with the crying dragon at a higher level than some other archons

Worst Descendants names you've ever heard and why? You can rant about it.

oh my god the NAMES of descendants jesus christ. i haven’t read all the books yet, so there are some characters i don’t know enough about to care about the name.

mal is just. it’s a good name but i don’t like that her full name is maleficent. feels weird to me. personally i like melinoe as her name, since she’s also hades’ daughter.

there is no way the evil queen would name evie JUST evie. that has to be a nickname. honestly any full name is better, but i like everild because everild grimhilde has a nice ring to it. though i don’t get why her mother’s name is now her last name but oh well.

jay deserves a cultural name. please. give him one. i personally like jayanti, but i know a lot of people say it’s short for jakeem.

for carlos I’m just confused why he has a spanish name when he’s british.

ben’s name is fine but why is his last name beast. whose decision was that. also, why is beast called beast the whole time when his name is adam. king adam sounds so much better than king beast.

why is there harry and harriet. i know they were made by different authors but like. please. communication between writers. personally i like to think harriet is called captain a lot. she hates it (hook insists he be called captain and not dad or anything like that)

jordan is the same as jay. give her an arabic name. i like joudah.

lonnie and li’l shang are abominations. disrespectful to their culture on soooo many levels. i saw someone say lonnie is a nickname for lanying and i sort of adopted that. so thanks whoever that was. for shang i’ve seen sheng and shuang, but i don’t really have a preference.

it’s bothers me that claudine’s name is close to her father’s. i don’t really have a headcanon for her actual name any why she’s called claudine but yeah that just bothers me.

for ginny, i could actually see gothel being a genuine last name, so i’m not super mad about her last name being gothel. however, her first name is definitely a nickname (i like gwendolyn).

i fully think most of the names are nicknames, these are just ones that bother me more.

LIKE UGH. it's so sad. it's so unfair. knuckles' entire existence is so unfair. imagine having no name and having the only identity you have being the name of a dead group of people you never even got to meet? alternatively, dropping your own birth name to carry that name as your own because there's no one else around to do so?

i NEED. NNEEEEDD. canon media to acknowledge this in some way. it's mentioned once that he was named after his ancestors in an obscure character bio, and never brought up ever again as far as i know. i don't know japanese but from what i can tell the way it's worded implies that "knuckles" became his name? as in, it wasn't his name originally.

I NEED TO KNOW MORE. I NEED THIS TO BE EXPLORED.

As nice as these have been I am on THE last characters left, which does unfortunately mean these posts are at an end💔 BUUUT I am keeping them alive through other things, and won't stop drawing them just yet !!

I have also possibly replaced my fixation on Descendants with my old Resident Evil one (Who would have guessed playing + talking about the games would do that?)

So it may be a little while until another critter post for Descendants comes. There are still the other critters I've been making slowly (without the template though) that may be posted too at some point, all depends on motivation🤔

i think one of my fave jay/mal leadership moments is in d1 when jays like ‘hey it’s not so bad here actually maybe we could stay’ and mal’s like ‘ARE YOU FUCKING INSANE.’ bc. obviously mal has the pressure from maleficent to steal the wand etc etc so her judgement is going to be clouded by that but jays been like ‘auradon has nice weather, nice food, it’s safe, our parents aren’t here, and the others seem happy :)’ and has reached the conclusion that they should stay. and obviously he’s right at the end but i really love that moment as the two of them regrouping and consulting each other and discussing their next move & how it showcases their position/dynamic within the gang
