Finally got around to playing Mankind Divided over the Christmas break, and oh boy, do I have Thoughts.

But for now, the main upshot is that it was the boost I needed to finally get back to finishing that unfinished omegaverse ficlet that, really, was all there in the game all along.

I've been reading all the Deus Ex stories on AO3, which I think was the first fandom I explored fanfiction in. It is also where I wrote my first fanfic which I posted to AO3. So, having got back to 2017 in the story listings there it was.

I've never read anything I've written after I've considered it completed. I'm too scared to discover how bad it was 😳😂 but screwing my courage to the sticking post, I opened my story.

It was surprisingly good! There's only one glaring thing I would change. The plot and the characters still hold up.
