au - tim sneaking out of jason's room one night at the manor and accidentally locking eyes with dick who is sneaking out of bruce's room at the exact same time, breakfast is very awkward the next morning
(i did think of having it be jason instead of tim but honestly jason has 0 shame and even less issue outing himself if it means fucking with bruce and, to a lesser extent, dick)
i'm cackling I love these types of things so much. they're so silly. sometimes we deserve mindless crack for these ships. have a *very* low effort ficlet bc this just makes me snort, enjoy <3
Dick closed Bruce's door as quietly as he could. Usually, he didn't have to sneak around when he slept with Bruce. But the temporary room Bruce had given Jason in the manor was just down the hall, and Dick didn't feel like looking Jason in the eye if he walked out of Bruce's bedroom in the morning at the wrong time.
Just because he was pretty sure Jason knew, didn't mean he needed confirmation and confrontation.
Dick had almost caved to staying in bed with Bruce when Bruce tried to pull him back down, but he kept some level of wits about him, prying Bruce's arm off of him and giving him a final kiss on the cheek before heading for the door.
The one thing Dick did allow himself, though, was wearing one of Bruce's shirts instead of his own. It was a size too large on him but smelled safe and comforting. Dick breathed a quiet sigh of relief when the door latched silently. He let go of the handle, turning around to creep off to his own bedroom in another wing.
And found himself staring at another figure.
With all of the lights off and only faint moonlight streaming through the windows, Dick couldn't tell who it was, at first. His reaction was embarrassing no matter who it was, jumping nearly a foot backward and clutching a hand over his chest.
He was a goddamn vigilante. This was just embarrassing.
The other person wasn't nearly as shocked as Dick, but they stood perfectly still, staring with wide eyes that faintly reflected what little light illuminated their face. Dick squinted, leaning forward to see who it was.
"Tim?" Dick hissed, trying to keep his voice to a whisper. Bruce had fallen asleep and if Dick woke him up now, he was never going to get the stubborn bastard back to bed.
Tim, still looking like a deer in headlights, just blinked at Dick.
"What are you doing up this late?" Dick asked. They'd all agreed to take tonight's patrol off, letting Babs, Helena, Dinah, and Zinda handle it in exchange for tackling the massive human trafficking ring in the morning with fresh eyes and cleared heads. The job was the only thing that had gotten Jason to agree to work with them in the first place. Bruce barely managed to strong-arm Jason into sleeping in the manor, with a decent amount of guilting from Alfred.
Jason, who was in the room only a few feet away from Dick. The room that Tim's hand was resting on the doorknob of.
"That's Jason's room," Dick said slowly.
Tim just nodded. "I know." He wasn't whispering like Dick was, but his tone remained impossible to read.
He just saw Dick walk out of Bruce's room. Had he put it together? It was Tim, after all. if he hadn't yet, Dick assumed he only had a couple minutes before it dawned on Tim.
"What were you doing in Jason's room?" Dick frowned. If he focused on Tim, it could keep the focus off of him for as long as possible. Dick tried to ignore how fast his heart was beating.
Tim's expression was hard to make out in the dark. "We were talking about the case." Still, his tone remained entirely neutral.
Too neutral, for Tim.
"At two am?"
"Well, what were you doing?" Tim huffed slightly when he said it, folding his arms over his chest.
He was shirtless, Dick just realized.
Shirtless and coming out of Jason's room.
"I was-" Dick stumbled over his words, choking as he tried to come up with an alibi. "We were talking about the-"
"I already used that excuse, pick your own," Tim deadpanned. Dick was pretty sure he also rolled his eyes. "I've known about you and Bruce for years, you know. You don't have to pretend."
The noise that came out of Dick's throat was almost as mortifying as the realization that not only did Jason likely know, but so did Tim.
"It... okay it has not been years," Dick's face was hot and he was glad it was too dark for Tim to see his blush. "I mean- it's been a while but not years-"
"Whatever you say." Tim shrugged, sounding unconvinced. "There have been feelings between you two for years, close enough for me."
If Dick died, right here, in this hallway in front of Bruce's door, he hoped the cause of death would be put down as homicide instead of natural causes. Because every word from Tim's mouth made another piece of Dick die inside, just a little.
"It's none of your business either way." Dick tried to stand up straight to sound more in control of the situation, clearing his throat.
"Trust me, I don't want it to be my business."
Dick would've laughed, if this was happening to anyone but him.
"What about... you and Jason?" Dick asked carefully.
Tim shifted on his feet. "What about it? I told you, we were talking about the case."
"Right." It was Dick's turn to roll his eyes. "In his bedroom, at two am, without your shirt?"
Tim stared at Dick for a long, torturous moment. A moment that made Dick agree with Tim, about not wanting to know any sordid details.
"I'm going to bed," Tim said suddenly, turning away from Dick. "Goodnight."
Dick had a thousand more questions he wanted to ask. How Tim and Jason even got together, when it happened. Last Dick knew, they could barely stand to be in the same room.
But Tim was walking away at an alarmingly brisk pace and Dick just sighed. He was too tired and mortified about his own secrets to chase Tim down for an impromptu interrogation that would just end up embarrassing them both more.
Maybe it was best for Dick's sanity if he didn't know the specifics.
Dick didn't consider how awkward it would be until he was standing in the kitchen, staring at Jason bent over a cup of coffee.
Did Jason know Dick knew? It didn't seem like he did, but he had always had a good poker face.
When Tim ambled into the kitchen and grabbed overnight oats from the fridge, he didn't even look at Dick. He seemed to be pointedly avoiding it, sitting as far away from Dick as he could at the oversized dining room table.
All while Dick couldn't seem to stop staring.
"Your cereal is going to get soggy," Jason muttered, and it took Dick a moment to realize Jason was talking to him. "At least eat it before trying to explode my head with your mind, or whatever your staring problem is."
"I'm not-" Dick stuttered. he shut himself up with a mouthful of cereal when Cass gave him an odd look.
Would she be able to figure it out just from his body language?
Dick had never fully understood the lengths her ability to read people could go. he looked away from her and stared at a random spot on the table, trying to eat at a normal pace.
Bruce was the last to wander into the kitchen. He squeezed Dick's shoulder as he walked by, making Dick jump. It was an innocent enough touch that no one would question, but all Dick could think about was the brief look from Tim before he quickly averted his eyes again.
The silence around the table was going to eat Dick alive. He started eating cereal faster.
"Oh for fuck's sake," Jason broke the tension, throwing his head back and slamming an empty mug down onto the table. "Everyone knows you two are fucking, alright?" He gestured between Dick and Bruce. "Stop being so goddamn weird about it, you're acting like there's a bomb in the room."
Bruce choked on his coffee. "Jason." He tried to sound reprimanding, but his voice was a few octaves too high.
Dick threw his hands in the air. "I knew you knew about that, but I didn't know about you and Tim until last night so excuse me for feeling a little awkward."
"You didn't know about what?" Bruce nearly yelled, spinning around to face Jason.
"Damnit, Dick!" Tim groaned, putting his head in his hands.
Jason just scoffed, pointing a fork at Bruce. "Oh don't even give me that self-righteous bullshit-"
Their argument went back and forth while Tim just rubbed his temples, muttering to himself and glaring at Dick.
Worst of all, Dick was pretty sure Cass was giggling next to him under her covered mouth.
Dick just sighed and ducked his head, dutifully waiting for the ground to open up and swallow him whole.
So much for his breakfast.

Apps and websites for keeping track of your kinlist
Tumblr media
Personally, I have a hard time keeping track of my kin list, memories and other important information. Here is a list of websites and apps you can use to keep track of yours!
As a heads up it isn't a complete list, if you have any we've missed or other information we didn't include, then feel free to add on.
Notion
Notion is a multi platform productivity software that can be used for making Wiki's.
Pros: Plenty of space and pages you can make for categories. Easy categorization and filtering.
Cons: Hard to use. There is a premium option. AI is an annoying icon in the corner.
Google docs
Google docs (or just a general documents) is a multi platform document files.
Pros: Easy to use. Free. Customizable.
Cons: Lack of origizeational options.
Spreadsheet
You can use Google sheets.
Pros: You can categorise it.
Cons: Not much space for details.
Discord
Discord is a free talking app.
Pros: Free. You can have many channels for your kins. You can talk to other people.
Cons: There is a premium version. Privacy could potentially be an issue.
Notes app
The notes app is a free app that comes with most phones and even some PC's and laptops.
Pros: Free. You can have as many notes as you want.
Cons: Transferring could be an issue. Lack of organizational options.
Pronouns.cc
Pronouns.cc is a website for listing pronouns and gender. I have personally never used Pronouns.cc so this is from observation.
Pros: You can have multiple kins listed.
Cons: Listing info is limited.
Carrd
Carrd is a website making tool.
Pros: Fully customizable.
Cons: You have to pay for multiple carrds. You can't have too many elements on one carrd with out paying either.
Rentry
Is another website maker but free.
Pros: Free. Fully customizable.
Cons: Advertisements. Finding a url to use.
Milanote
This is like, the ultimate boss of organizing. It's absolutely amazing and I love to use it for my ocs, but I haven't gotten a chance to use it for my kins yet
Pros: Amazing organization stuff, very creative but allows for templates too! Easy to work with
Cons: Limited amounts of assets until you need to pay money. Shitty mobile version just not worth touching as of now
(Milanote was suggested by @/little-lucub!)

(TW biphobic comments, surgery, transphobia and ableism mentions, aphobia, pls add more if anything else can be triggering)
I just quietly came out as aroace, by posting a video in my stories of someone reading my aroace-focused speech at Pride. Quite nerve-wracking cause usually very few people watch my stories, but this time my COUSIN AND AUNT saw it.
I don't know if they clicked to watch the full video, but if they did, that's quite awkward and possibly dangerous… I'd come out as bisexual to my cousin many many years ago—she was one of those annoyingly enthusiastic allies, you know, the girlies that brag about having a gay best friend.
Considering this, the fact she's supportive but not exactly knowledgeable about the nuances of existing as a queer person, I'm worried she'll have a conversation about it with her mother. And that they'll talk to my parents about it, assuming they know.
But my parents have no idea I'm aroace. I'd also come out to them when I was like 13, again, as bisexual. They had taken it (relatively) terribly, spewing the same biphobic comments you hear everywhere ("so will you cheat on a woman with a man?"). We've never talked about it after that day, but they seemed to believe I was "confused" and would change my mind (same thing they said when I told them I was an atheist lol, couple years before that). So they're still stuck on this notion. Not exactly ENTIRELY wrong, seeing as I'm a bi/pan-oriented aroace, but still.
I've been out to them as trans and non-binary for over 4 years now, and I'm on HRT, they've made lots of progress and accept me now, but that coming out was also awful, I had to go back into the closet after a few months and developed REALLY bad depression because of it.
Just last month, they were very unpleasantly surprised when I started talking about what my lawyer told me to do in order to access gender-affirming surgeries, even though I had made it clear from the beginning I was planning on going under the knife.
So the shocking news just don't stop coming for them. Last year I got diagnosed as autistic and they also didn't like that at all. If they found out I'm also aroace… What if that's the last straw? What if that's where they actually draw the line? They barely accepted bisexuality. What if they think something's physically wrong with me because I'm ace, and send me to a doc? If they think I'm heartless (no shade to heartless aros!) or mentally ill because I'm aro? What if I get more than one stressful conversation like the bi thing was, and it turns out to affect my life worse than my coming out as trans did? I have no idea what their view of aros and aces would be, since they definitely don't know it's even a thing. Those were all things I wrote in my speech. It's a real fear I have. Countless a-spec people have experienced shit like that.
I just wish aromanticism and asexuality were talked about more. My parents would have no base to start from; I'd have to explain everything. Coming out as aroace is proving to be the hardest coming out I'm gonna have to do with them, and it hurts, it hurts like hell to be in the closet, especially when I do queer activism all-year round irl and they know.
Not to diminish the difficulty of other queer people's coming outs, but at least as bisexual, I "just" liked different genders than what they expected. With my trans identity, they needed to change everything about how they treat me. That's a lot. But at least they won't question my morals, my empathy, my humanity. Everything that makes me who I am. They might think I'm straight up evil. Doesn't help that they definitely won't meet my "second-cousin's neighbour's son who is also aroace". He doesn't exist. There's zero representation for us. I want to be out to them, I really do, but I feel like it's impossible and I'll have to carry this secret with me to the grave.
I'm just scared, and frustrated, and sick of having to hide. Sorry for the long ask. Hope you and your followers have a great day. <2 [non-normative heart emoticon]

My favorite part of this episode is the rewards they gave each other, mirroring different needs. Dee asked that, if he does well, Yak go to therapy.
That's the one thing haunting him; because of it, he can't fully be present in boxing, with his brother, or in relationships with Dee or Taem. He can't make up his mind solely because he sees himself as a disappointment to those he cares about. With Taem, he's stayed on the sidelines never really crossing over that friendship threshold.
He sees her as someone above him and so her loving someone on her level makes sense to him. With Dee the same thing applies, there is already another player, and that player has things in common with Dee. That's why it was so easy for Doc Ter to get in his head. Meanwhile, with his brother, we see he is never fully honest with. Cher knows more about Yak's life than Yei and that's due to the constant fear of disappointing Yak. Whereas we see Cher shows that there isn't anything Yak can do that would lead him to feel that way.
I'd argue that, in the way Kao is Dee's sounding board, Cher tends to be Yak's.
Then with Dee, Yak asks for his first kiss. I won't say that the notion Dee has is ridiculous, he should do what feels right to him. But, as we have seen, he does want to give it to Yak but he is scared of repeating history. Which he is doing already. Keeping Yak at arm's length like he did with Ter. Like Kao said, Dee tends to make things difficult for himself when the answers to his questions are typically very obvious. And Dee does this a lot to people, keeping them mostly at arm's length which is why he only has one friend. In retrospect, holding onto the kiss isn't about keeping it for his one true love, it's about guarding himself. That is one less thing he gives to someone who may not love him back. He didn't even give it to Ter who he has been pinning after for 8 years. Logically, if holding the kiss was all about true love and security, Yak should've been the last to get it because there is no security in their current status. But instead, he does give it to Yak because he trusts Yak completely and knows even if they aren't for each other, Yak is still someone who cares for him on a personal level.
Honestly, I am just waiting for them to bond over their dead parent trauma and realize they are one and the same.

sorry to bother you but i wanted to ask how you're enjoying using Obsidian? I've been eyeing it for a while but would love to know your thoughts, highlights, lowlights, etc :) if you don't mind sharing, ofc!
No worries! The short version is that I've been enjoying Obsidian quite a lot, and I find that it serves all of my needs nicely without any fuss. Using it is rather frictionless, I think, and getting used to it was pretty easy though it did take some willingness to very much learn to navigate its menus and features and how it lays everything out. It's not at all difficult, but I do think you have to sit with it for a bit. It's currently my main writing program with the exception of screenplays, for which I use Highland 2.
For context on myself, my writing needs are rather straightforward. I use these sorts of apps and programs to write and organize my fanfic, original prose writing, professional correspondence, and journalistic article drafts. I previously used Notion, which I left because of the big NotionAI push. Before Notion, I used Bear, though I can't remember why I stopped using it; I haven't checked out Bear 2, so I don't know if it suits my needs.
When I was shopping around for a new program to use, the following points were important to me, in no particular order:
no native / built-in generative AI assistants
interface is simple and clean or had customization or community themes that would make it so
offline access
mobile app with document sync
ability to organize and group notes through a folder, tag, or similar system
not too many Things going on with it or I could very easily ignore stuff I didn't use without them cluttering up the UI or my space
Obsidian organizes files within "vaults", of which you can have multiple, each of which are connected to folders that are stored locally on my laptop (or my phone). I love this. I have local versions of all of my notes. I can literally find all my stuff as markdown files within a folder on my desktop and open them up in another program with EASE. If you are someone who doesn't have a lot of storage space, this might be an issue, but for me, this is a very bright highlight.
The biggest lowlight for me is that mobile sync is reliant on a subscription fee, but considering that the rest of the program is free and the fee is small, I found this ultimately a very small concern. I very critically need mobile sync because I spend a significant amount of time writing from my phone. The mobile sync is incredibly good; it keeps all documents synchronized very well, and I have yet to run into version conflicts that cause me to accidentally overwrite and lose significant progress. I don't even have to close files on my laptop first; they'll just update in real-time on my screen like Google Docs. Sometimes I'll name documents something that my phone's file path system cannot handle; Obsidian warns me that it cannot fetch and sync these files with illegal names, and I like that it keeps me informed about that.
It has both a folder system and a tag system, which allows you to organize your files. I only use the folder system because my needs are simple, but the tag system is also solid. It also has a robust search system. It also has a bookmarking system to further organize your stuff. I don't have enough files to use that, but it is available, and I think that's neat.
Tumblr media
More precise customization can be difficult if you're not used to writing CSS. I am familiar with CSS, so I found this a small hurdle, but this will be a bigger issue for others. That said, this does mean that Obsidian is DEEPLY customizable, and there is a large gallery of community themes that offer a lot of styles that serve a wide variety of needs. There is also a deep bench of community plugins to help get Obsidian to do what you want — I have plugins that make the word count in the status bar show the count of highlighted text and allow me to copy text as HTML instead of formatted text or markdown. There is also an active Obsidian community and forum, so you will not be necessarily troubleshooting customization alone.
Other small things that occur to me to mention right now: It supports opening files in multiple windows, and it has a tab system, which is really neat. The ability to open multiple files at a time is very good. You can also open files side-by-side for easy comparison, which is useful for more technical work. I don't use Obsidian for coding or wiki work, but I can imagine this being really useful for that. It has a reading mode. Offers a version history with a "show changes" mode and restoration capability. File merge capability. You can open images into it and organize them like any other file.
Tumblr media
All in all, I'm very happy with it, and it serves all of my personal needs very well. I generally give it a blanket recommendation, again noting that I think it does take sitting with to get used to some of its features and UI and customizing it to your needs and preferences, but I don't think that's super difficult with some patience and time.

They knew. They knew...
Potty training works. I'm potty trained. Probably completed that phase around 3. By then I knew poop went in the potty and I was able to demonstrate that skill to great praise from my parents.
Also me at 3.
Pooping in my pants and hiding the evidence.
That was the next phase of development. Getting more adept at hiding the evidence. Life is nothing but practice. You do any one thing enough, chances are you'll get better at it. When you're first getting started though, whether you realize it or not....you suck. And if you have the life experience of a 3 year old, you probably really really suck. So, in retrospect, those first few years of having an alternate universe that the potty trained me did not exist in, I was likely not as good as I thought I was at hiding the evidence.
If i remember correctly, I'd just keep stashing the same pair of dirty underwear in the bottom of my hamper thinking Mom would never get to the bottom. I remember them too. Little red briefs. Big boy pants! Ha! Big turd pants was more like it. Every once in a while though. Those things would end up clean and folded in my dresser. I never got in trouble for messed up underpants so I thought she must not have noticed the stains. Young me turds were so well put together though there wasn't a grand crust of residue, even after several uses. I would describe the aftermath as "a shadow of a turd"
unrelated side note: Boy do I miss young innards! My young innards made really good, large, firm poops. I loved those. After 40 some years of working tirelessly day in, day out, they just...don't...work...the same. If you're over 40 then you know what I'm talking about....anyway.
Fast forward a few years. I'm 6 or 7 and find myself in a chair face to face with a psychologist. As I was at 6, I am today. Always willing to sit around and shoot the shit. I was a happy kid. Always bright and outgoing. So while the Doc was prowling around in my brain looking for some darkness, I doubt he could find much. I'm sure he found me open, honest, witty, and for lack of a better term: normal. Then at the end of our conversation he asked. Are you sure there isn't anything else you want to talk about? "No" i said.
"You're sure there is nothing else bothering you?" he probed again.
"No" I said again brightly and definitively.
Any shrink worth the framed diploma hung on his wood paneled office wall could see straight through my happy-go-lucky facade in that moment.
Panic.
Ooooohhh I knew what he's getting at. Shit! Now I know why I'm really here!!! Gaaaaaahhh! I know why my mother scheduled this little, till now innocuous chat! F***! (even my 6 year old head knew that was a bad word)
While my spectacled cherub face smiled sheepishly, my head was in full blown short circuit mode. Manically coming to grips with the notion that my little extra curricular activities may very well have been found out.
He's pooping his pants on purpose. What is wrong with my son?
There must be some reason he's acting out like this? Something he's hiding?
No ma, all I'm hiding is dirty underwear. And believe you me...I'm about to get a lot f****** better at hiding it.
What is kinda nuts to me is that no one ever asked me point blank about it, at any time in my life! Not even the psychologists. Of which there were many up through my teen years. Some would ask the same question "Is there anything else you want to talk about?" when they would arrive at the conclusion of the session with no indication that the pants pooping subject was going to come up in natural (if you can call probing natural) conversation.
My mom would make a comment about the condition about my underpants from time to time but she never directly addressed the issue either. Maybe she didn't want to know the answer? Or maybe she eventually came to understand that her son was a happy kid that enjoyed his life. Loved his music and cars and guitars. Loved his parents and his sister. Loved his friends.
It just so happens he also loved pooping his pants.
Privately.
As I got more skilled at hiding the evidence, handwashing and drying pre-bottom-of-the-hamper toss. I'm sure they all thought maybe I'd outgrown it. That's what kids do. They outgrow their mischief.
Nope. I'm now really really good at doing laundry.
Hope you enjoyed this time in the wayback machine! Off to do some handwashing....

AO3 Wrapped 2024
tagged by @gaylilsherlock
1.) Biggest surprise while writing this year?
Developing an interest in Gunsmoke. That was an accident, I swear.
2.) How many WIPs do you have in your docs for next year?
I have every intention of trying to make 2025 year the year of completion. I am finishing the last two of my short Gunsmoke fics (The Horse Thief and Venom in Violet), and after that, I'm going to finish typing my multiple notebooks of content on IN A DREAM YOU FOUND A WAY TO SURVIVE AND YOU WERE FULL OF JOY (believe it or not, this fic is almost completely finished... IN my notebooks, not on my computer). Then, I'm going to finish my Gunsmoke multichapter, dead hands. And after that, my priorities include trying to tackle the behemoth of repairing Not Bigger But Brighter and maybe completing Box Full of Darkness at long last.
So, I suppose the straight answer is I'm not planning on starting many, if any, new works next year; I'm hoping to bring several of my long unfinished fics to their finale.
3.) Favorite character to write this year?
JAMES EVAN WILSON. Without challenge. I invented his entire family and gave them a complex lore for my Hilson HS AU fic (unpublished and I intend to keep it that way). I love him so much, and I took a lot of liberties in giving him lore. To me, he's almost an OC in a way. I definitely love him more than any of the others! He's my blorbo.
4.) The character that gave you the most trouble this year?
I'm gonna go with Lisa Cuddy. I feel like my portrayal of her has strengthened with time, but she's a struggle for me, which is probably why I haven't written any Stacy/Cuddy fic, even though I adore the ship an unreasonable amount and rarely see work for them.
5.) What's one pairing you want to explore next year?
Stacy/Cuddy!
6.) Did you receive any gifts this year?
I believe I got tagged in a couple posts on Tumblr! But no, I didn't receive any gift fics on AO3.
7.) Did you do any collaborative works this year?
Other than private roleplays, no. But my beta does a bombass job!
8.) What do you listen to while writing?
While I'm actively writing (thinking of words to write down), I listen to white noise. While I'm transcribing @libbymania I sometimes will listen to music instead of white noise, or rarely I'll listen to an old radio episode. For brainstorming and sometimes transcribing, I try to make playlists for each one of my fics! And when I'm searching for inspiration, I'll often scroll down have-you-heard-this-band and listen to 2-3 songs of each of the last 10 artists and try to glean ideas from the fresh music. This exposes me to a lot of music I otherwise never would have heard, and I've found a lot of my new favorite bands this way!
9.) Favorite line/passage you wrote this year?
Uhhhhh there are a lot and I'm sure there are more in the notebooks I haven't transcribed! But this is a section from an upcoming chapter of JOY!
As [Wilson] studied House’s face, azure eyes pooling with tears (stinging from the wind, perhaps, or perhaps genuinely distressed, genuinely fearful, though the notion of the latter was uncomfortable, so he pushed it away), he lost all of his words. He could say nothing kind enough, acerbic enough, observant enough, to greet the sight of House’s mouth hanging agape, the overworn wool hat dangling from between his fingers, his shoulders loose and helpless in posture, the slouch to the right where his knee could no longer fully straighten—this was the powerless man who had flanked Wilson’s bedside for months, the one he had seen in his lucid dreams when he was immobilized by drugs and could only view the world when someone held his eyes open, always hunched in pain, sometimes staring, sometimes too weak to look. House was staring now, fighting for his composure. Wilson waited for it to reassemble.
He closed his mouth, swallowing tightly, shifting his jaw. He tucked the hat into the pocket of his jacket, extending an open-palmed hand to Wilson, fingers curling to beckon him back. He didn’t speak. But he was pleading for Wilson to return.
He had no choice but to fall back, obediently placing his hand in House’s, where he was tugged persistently back to his side. “I wasn’t anywhere near the edge.”
The quick sentence was easy to make out on his lips. “I know.” House was squeezing his hand tight enough to hurt.
“Then why were you scared?”
“I wasn’t scared.” The grip didn’t loosen. Wilson gingerly broke away from it.
“You looked scared.”

Higurashi When They Cry Hou Ch. 4 Himatsubushi pt. 6
I feel it's pretty safe to declare that chapter 4 of this chapter (subchapter?) is the most action-packed the series been.
Ooishi calls Akasaka to the local precinct due to some spicy evidence they found.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh those butter fingers. Always dropping just the most perfect obvious evidence during their kidnapping. Also the fact it just so happened to fall out and get found and get reported despite the people of Hinamizawa currently protesting the government? What are the odds! Akasaka, doubting the legitimacy of this evidence calls the dentists office listed on the card and gets verified proof that yes, this is indeed the information of a recently kidnapped Toshiki Inukai. And so, thus armed with this orgy of evidence Akasaka and Ooishi gear up, and set out to the area the wallet was found.
Where we get to see the kidnapped Toshiki fantasize briefly about escaping his bonds and beating up his kidnappers, and start formulating an escape plan. Utilizing a scar from a previous injury Toshiki makes the kidnappers believe that he might actually be dying and they call good ol' Doc Irie into to give him a once over.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Akasaka, and Ooishi talk briefly about the notion that they might be arriving to a firefight as they proceed along towards Takatsudo. As they try to reach the area the wallet was found they find themselves right at the epicenter of the protests against the Hinamizawa Dam. Where the protestors are using extreme volume levels to harass the construction efforts, to the point that to Akasaka's mind it feels like it's actively splitting his skull apart. Ooishi mentions that the riot cops who are guarding the scene are equipped with earplugs against the noise, but it makes me wonder if the protestors themselves are similarly equipped. I'm sure they are. Eventually though they get past the center of it and are able to eke their way along the road until they come across another impromptu road block, which causes Ooishi to get out of the car to deal with. Which, that's an extremely ballsy move. You're willingly getting out of your car amidst fifty plus people who apparently hate you to have em move along?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I wonder if the protestors brought her along to the protests, or if she just went alone because... fuck it? I can't imagine they brought her along as a mascot, or anything like that because what exactly would that accomplish? A morale victory? I assume she's there because she knew Akasaka was going to be there.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The pair talk some more about how perfectly timed finding this wallet just happens to be. How fortunate that out of the blue some guy was able to just able to find this random wallet in the bushes. Almost like they wanted it found or something. HMMMMMM. Maybe I'm overestimating Rika's godliness. Perhaps what I attribute to a divine will is actually just something as simple as Oryou is doting on the cute daughter of the Furude family and as such it letting slip some important details to the kidnapping.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
IS WHAT I WOULD THINK IF THEY DIDN'T BRING UP HER DIVINE NATURE! You have guys like Ooishi mentioning the village's belief that Rika is the reincarnation of Oyashiro, and even put forward the idea, even as a half-hearted breaking the tension joke that she just might be behind it all! I'm on to something here, I can feel it in my bones!
Shortly after this brief foray into talking about the enigma that is Rika Furude the pair cross paths with Irie, which clues Ooishi on to the fact that their wayward kidnapped child has got to be located here in Takatsudo. The pair arrives at the kidnap shack, where one of the kidnappers flees with young Inukai and Ooishi has a tussle with the remaining crook. I regret to inform you that I did not screenshot most of the fight and flight between Ooishi and his kidnapper, and Akasaka and his quarry. It was a pretty decently written fight scene.
During the fight between Ooishi and the kidnapper (incidentally, they really missed an obvious thing for readability by calling them Kidnapper A and B or 1 and 2, but whatever), Ooishi gets put into a sleeper hold and knocked unconsciousness. The scene then changes to Akasaka, who has just been kicked in the crotch and is giving chase with the kidnapper who has Inukai slung over his shoulder like a sack. Akasaka catches up and the kidnapper begins to beat Akasaka with a rock, and eventually pulls a gun on him. Akasaka gets the jump on him and attacks the armed kidnapper, until the other kidnapper finds the pair and shoots Akasaka in the shoulder.
Tumblr media
Akasaka, having been shot in the designated good guy area basically starts groveling for his life and for the kidnappers to spare his life. The ploy works and the pair are surprised at this staggering display of cowardice from a police officer.
But it's a ruse! Ooishi shows up and gets the drop on the kidnappers and disarms one of them until the kidnappers run away, their dastardly scheme foiled.
Tumblr media
There's a line earlier on in the earlier brouhaha where Akasaka notes that despite Oryou allegedly ordering them to let Toshiki go they're not giving up without a fight. Which put a small idea in my head that this might all be a misdirection and it's actually not the Sonozaki family who's behind the kidnapping. I know in Chapter Two Watanagashi that Ooishi mentions that they were involved in the kidnapping, but I have a very small doubt that they're actually behind the crime itself. I think it might be possible that while it is a group working for the larger family that it's actually a small offshoot group who did it in an effort to gain favor with the larger family. The previous chapter makes it sound like Oryou is trying to use more legal means of fighting the dam project, and not just criminal skullduggery. And that all of this is actually a ruse to make the police think that they're willing to go to these lengths to fight against the dam. Or, and this is just a wild baseless idea based on absolutely nothing. This is a rival yakuza group trying to pin the blame on the Sonozaki family by doing the kidnapping and leaving the bread crumbs directly to the shack Toshiki was held in to give the cops all the evidence they need to raid them.
Oh yeah, Akasaka got shot. I'm sure he's totally dead. Please ignore he's still alive in 1985, and that's our framing device for this chapter. But yeah, he died. RIP.

hi ryen!!! i hope you’re having a good timezone 💜
i’m curious about some of your writing process ??? i’m not sure that’s the right words ANYWAY
how do you organize 3tan? for me when i’m writing chapters fics each chapter has its own document and then i have one master doc with every chapter in it. this really helps when i can’t remember if reader told namjoon something or not bc i can just search for words i know would be in those scenes.
i would think it would be a little more difficult with your pocket universes as opposed to me writing in chronological order. also maybe you don’t forget shit about your own story like me 💀
i’m also curious about how you keep all your ideas sorted out. like do you use a notion board or something like that?
sorry if you’ve answered this before and i just didn’t see but i’ve been wondering
Tumblr media
(here’s a picture of jaehyeong from the rose that i took for something nice to look at while you answer my questions 😚)
hi rae and HELLO JAEHYEONG!! ooo questions about my writing process? always down to answer these!
well. lol. i literally just have one master doc with all the 3tan notes i have, and it's a running doc so if i ever have a thought about the series or something i wanna incorporate, i date it on the doc at the top and write it down. so it's in reverse chronological order when you open it👍
as far as parts, each chapter has its own set of docs: drafts and a final post version. then all the drabbles and slices have their own docs, with all of them in each one.
on notion: i gave it one look and decided it would take up way too much of my time so i didn't even bother DFKSDFH tbh i think i have the plainest setup you can ever imagine. literally just google docs and a dream💀 if i have a new idea, i make a new doc and throw my ideas in it, coming back to it whenever i feel inspired to continue building.
thank you for asking! it's pretty plain on my end a ha ha😅

Curious fan anon here again! I finally had time to read all about the pallid flame and it's got me really intrigued! Thank you for writing about it!
Now for some questions!
What do you most like about the pallid flame yourself? I love that it looks smoke like! And that it seems more based around the nervous system in a way?
Another question! What program/website is it that you write the info sheets in? I may wanna use it too, someday... 👉👈🥹
All these asks keeping me company during vacation T///T thank you so much and welcome back friend! Don't feel in a hurry to consume my stuff, I'll be here anytime 🩵
To answer your question... here's the thing, the ACTUAL n.1 favorite thing about the pallid flame is a huuuuge spoiler but I'll throw some bits of info that can get you a little close.
I didn't include it in the doc as to not cause confusion to the reader, but there are some hints about a certain level of sentience of the flame itself. Like, the fact that it activates the moment it feels its host is in danger: it does it through the five senses, but how does the flame decide if something is a threat or not?
That depends on the skill level of the host. As a result, that means the flame is somehow able to judge whether the threat is something worth its activation, or in other words, if the threat level surpasses the host's level of combat skills.
So the flame can judge outside stimuli and put them in perspective with its host's capabilities. Can it do anything else on its own? Well, the Failsafe System is a thing. The Flame takes over the nervous system and gives the body a directive to follow: save yourself at all costs. It does as soon as consciousness leaves the mind. Is it a natural reaction to the body being in danger, or something more intentional? After all, it can't survive without its host.
It's not a Dying Will. It's an order.
All of this will be explained in the story, if you have the patience to wait for it to be revealed 😖 other than that, I agree with you on the fact that the Pallid Flame being related to the body more than the mind (as it's the case for the Dying Will flame). The way it flows inside the user to make themselves a weapon instead of being a weapon! This is no way a diss to canon - I love canon to bits, and I like to adhere to it as much as possible.
Tackling the second question, it's called Notion and it's free! It's a very customizable app that you can use for a great number of things, from organising your writing to taking notes to planning blog posts. You can use it through multiple platforms, both pc and on android, and your content is always accessible since it's saved in your accounts database.
Specifically, for both my character sheet and my info sheet I use a template called Atlas that you can download from Notion's site. There are lots of useful free templates to browse from, but I found Atlas to be the perfect mix between easy to use and nice-looking.
If you need help with setting it up, feel free to hit me up, even if it's with a burner account I won't mind! I found it not that hard to use but do let me know if I can be of help.
As always, thank you for passing by! It's always a pleasure 🩵🩵🩵 writing that info sheet was a pleasure and it helped me immensely as well!

#ridfic schedule
Tumblr media
Info post about my 2025 'fic update schedule & general plans. Also, showing screenshots of the new organizing tool I started using (Not sponsored) for anyone curious and/or looking for organization inspo.
If you're somewhat up to date with the series you like, there are no story spoilers, unless you count chapter titles. Light spoilers if you're early in your series read.
You can find this post again by checking my pinned post, searching the #ridfic schedule tag, or clicking the "My update schedule" link in the footers of my AO3 'fics (once I add it).
Most of this post discusses plans. Scroll to the bottom for calendars if you want specific schedule info.

GENERAL PLANS
Prioritizing
My 2025/26 goal is to prioritize. A few months ago, I made a post where I showed screenshots of my current link sheet. I liked how it showed me lots of information with limited need to scroll, but it wasn't meeting my needs.
Ex: I kept writing more "Dreadful Burden" chapters than planned, but if I wanted to add new rows for them, I had to redo all the columns to fix gaps; it was just annoying. Once I completed the 'fic, I condensed them to a single cell on the sheet that says "Dreadful Burden x10," but it made me sad not to get the satisfaction of watching the green spread; I wanted more celebration. I can also fit full story titles nicely on ClickUp compared to the way I had my old sheet set.
Also, I have a lot of WIPs floating around that didn't even make it on the sheet. I wanted to quickly add new ideas and not worry about them taking up space or being an inconvenience to move. Preferably, I wanted to easily switch position of items if I changed how soon I wanted to work on them. I had a separate tab in this spreadsheet that was like a calendar, but since it was just rows and columns, moving items around was a pain.
After checking out multiple kanban & calendar tools (Ex: Trello, Monday, Visor, KanbanFlow, nTask, Miro, Jira, Notion, the old Google calendar I tried in 2024), I opted for ClickUp (Not sponsored).
I'm really liking it- especially how I can edit the kanban board OR the calendar and they're in sync, so deadline changes reflect in both spaces. Personal accounts are free, which I'm happy with.
Here are some screenshots for fun & fellow writer inspo... Disclaimer, this is useful to me because I use Google Docs & URLs, but it might be slightly less useful to people with Word or similar files (although you CAN upload attachments).
My board:
Tumblr media
Yes, I poured a lot of hours into putting everything I could think of on this board- There's also an "Other Fandoms" column. It was worth it.
Btw: If you want to try this tool, I suggest bookmarking your board after you make it. It's easy to lose & annoying to click around for. ClickUp is designed for teams using multiple boards, so it gets buried in the sidebar and you have to open stuff to find it. I considered making separate boards for each of my fandoms, but I'm glad I didn't. Extra context: I keep downloaded 'fics on Notion (because it lets me upload downloaded files), and it always bugs me how slow it is to scroll to the bottom when I want to add something. I like how ClickUp lets me add something new from the top, and how everything is easy to drag around. Debating making a ClickUp board for downloaded 'fics, but I have everything tagged by ship/social group on Notion, and I like how the sorting works over there. I think it would bug me to have to scroll through a ton of tags when tagging my own 'fics vs. tagging downloaded ones on ClickUp... So I think they'll stay separate for now. But you could definitely store downloaded 'fics on this.
Here is the task card for "Chalaza" - Clicking on it pulls up its title, tags, due date, URLs, etc.
Tumblr media
Scrolling down to the subtasks I assigned, you can see my chapters:
Tumblr media
Chapter titles, priority flags, and dates I plan to post stuff. I like it. Once you check an item off, that part of the list will collapse, but you can click a button to view them again.
You can also click on a card and then click the "assign as subtask" button. If I wanted to, I could put "Chalaza" under a card titled "Pixels Imperfect AU," which would reduce the number of cards on my board because it would be tucked under that one. I like mine the way it is, with each story visible.
Since ClickUp is a tool for teams, you'll see some features like "Assignee" by default. When you set things up, there's a setting that lets you tell ClickUp you're an individual; it will reduce some of its collaboration tools to reduce clutter, which I like, but this assignee bit stays anyway.
You can also make checklist templates (In addition to or instead of subtasks), so if you wanted to prep a list of "Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3" as a checklist and rapidly add that to cards, you can do that. I thought about it and decided subtasks are more useful for me.
Ex: When I click on a subtask, it gets its own card that can be either collapsed or expanded, and it can appear on the calendar. This is useful to me because I usually give each chapter its own document. Since the checklist is a list, the items aren't cards. You can't add links to those and they won't appear on the calendar.
ClickUp lets me link task cards together so I can see which 'fics need to be finished before I can post something else.
Ex: The reason "With Acid In Your Eyes" is on hiatus:
Tumblr media
These are all links, so clicking the title lets me jump right to them, which is fun. I grabbed the emojis from emojipedia and they work just fine.
I have calendar screenshots at the end of this post as well (because I'm showing you guys what's scheduled for when).
The board and calendar have due dates synced, so it's easy to move stuff around (Much better than my old sheet of having separate tabs and doing everything twice).
So, that's how ClickUp works and I think it's cool; I hope you liked looking at screenshots. I spent a lot of time on it and wanted to show off what I get to look at every day :) I've been unhappy with my spreadsheets for a bit and I see myself sticking with this for a while.
I'm going back to school this fall, so I was looking for a tool that makes it easy to plan my schedule months ahead, is easy to adjust if I want to swap things around, can keep me on task so I don't write things I can't post until next year (like future chapters we won't reach in this one), and will make my docs and AO3 mystery works easy to find when I'm in crunch time. I like how even though my chapters are in subtasks, I can toggle them on when viewing the board or calendar. I like how if something on the calendar said "Chapter 5," I could click on it and it would give me the links just like the board does & would tell me what its parent task is (Ex: "Chalaza"). Yes, when I hinted previously that I'm holding onto Dreadful Burden for "a time I can't afford to be distracted," it's going up during study time & exams. The plan is that when end of semester rolls around, I won't be writing anything new and I'll only be posting, and you guys will have something nice to read before I go on winter hiatus again. I'm so glad it's DONE... I'm obsessed with it. stupid bird people; I hate them (/affectionate).
Tumblr media
2025 Goals: Finishing WIPs
So, what does prioritizing mean to me?
Specifically, I want to finish existing WIPs and reduce the new stories I post. When I'm interested in writing an idea, I like to work on it, and then I like to post it.
I enjoy the process - I write my 'fics for fun and I like doing what I want - but I recognize this can make the timeline confusing to readers, and not everyone wants to read a timeline document to figure out if Plot Point A comes before or after B. My writing is stronger if I'm not at risk of contradicting or infodumping as well.
I want my storylines to become more approachable and easier to follow. My goal is to upload things in an order that makes it easy to follow the storyline, even if that's not the order I wrote them in. This also means trying to post all the chapters of a story in a row, without jumping between multiple stories.
Ex: Avoid posting chapters for two separate multi-chapter works for the same AU (or possibly the same fandom) in the same week. Instead, if I want two update days per week for the same AU, they should go to the same story until that story is complete. Or, I keep the days fandom-specific (My 2024 set-up).
In 2026, I might experiment with two updates per week for the same 'fic (Keeping Tuesday & Friday updates, but retiring the fandom-specific update day system). That would let me get through each individual 'fic more quickly, so it takes less time to close a project and move to the next one. We'll revisit that thought in 2026, but for now, I'm continuing the current system.
Brief overview of 'fics I hope to get done in 2025:
Tumblr media
(More info in later sections of this post)
Disclaimer: Come What May is very on the fence as a goal, and will probably be moved to early 2026.
Some existing WIPs will not be finished this year, and while I'm eternally impatient, that's how it is.
If you're interested in a WIP I haven't updated for a while, kudos, comments, or asks saying you like it so far let me know people are excited for that one. You're never obligated ofc, but it does affect what I prioritize in the next year's schedule. I'm glad so many of you are as weird about the Clockers, galaxy duo, jungle duo, the celebrity kid quartet, and Anti-Cosmo's horrible decisions as I am, skdfjl.
Tumblr media
Clean Up & Consistency
In the last year, I've been adding consistent headers and footers to my fics, as well as switching my spoiler dropdowns to AO3's new default one. These dropdowns contain chapter-specific warnings, and I've thus far added them to fics like Origin of the Pixies and Frayed Knots that didn't have them yet.
In 2025, I'll continue this process for Origin and probably other multi-chapters (the Knots chapter warnings are already up to date). It takes time to review existing chapters and add warnings, but I like that they're there.
By the end of 2025, I'd like to have consistent headers and footers across all my 'fics. Most of my 'fics already have them, but I want to take time for a thorough check and update. I like the "If you liked this 'fic, you may also like these" system I've been using for some MCYT 'fics. I'd like to expand that to other 'fics, plus bring that to my FOP 'fics; I just think it's fun.
One of the details I'd like to add to footers is a labeled link ("My update schedule") that opens my new #ridfic schedule tag here on Tumblr. This will allow AO3 readers to click it and check for recent posts about my update schedule.
Thus, I can make a single schedule or hiatus post on Tumblr and all my 'fics will have a link to the tag; I won't feel tempted to spend time editing author's notes on individual 'fics to announce if plans have changed… which is great for me since I have multiple WIPs open at once and am going back to school this year. Anything I can do to cut the temptation to open and read 'fics is a good thing.
I definitely work on my 'fics according to my own timeframe and inspiration, but I do like keeping people informed. Even if readers don't end up using it, I like knowing it's there if they want it. Because I jump between projects, an individual project of mine might update slowly, so it's nice to let people know it's not been abandoned.
I also need to update my pinned post with new What's Happening? info (since it hasn't been updated since late October). I'll do that soon after this post goes up so I can link to it.
Update Days
- I post MCYT fics on Tuesdays; my calendar is planned through December 16th, which marks the start of my winter posting hiatus - I post Total Drama fics (written 2013-2016) on Thursdays; calendar is planned 'til they're all up (August 21st is the last day unless I missed something)
Once Thursdays are done, they may become a general update day. This is tentative; I wouldn't mind going back to two days per week (Breathing room for readers & because I struggle to remember Thursday is an update day). We'll see what happens.
During 2025, I'm changing Friday to be a general update day. FOP works still have priority, but I might post for other fandoms.
Ex: In Feb/March 2020, I was planning to finish a Jimmy Neutron 'fic of mine, but I set it aside due to COVID and never picked it up again. It's not high priority, but it would also be cool to finish because it haunts me and I think it's neat. Admittedly, if I posted something for "T.U.F.F. Puppy," I would not be mad. I'm currently posting an FOP/MCYT crossover on Fridays. MCYT might also get extra posts on Fridays, as I'm still in the early phase of "I have a million things to say and I want to write while I'm excited."
I've got a lot of smaller one-shots I'd like to finish and post (Ex: 1 childhood piece for each Pixels character about being raised by their dragon mom). Maybe this will happen this year, maybe not.
There may be weeks with no Friday updates, as I won't be pushing myself to get something out. I'm always jumping between projects though, and if a short MCYT piece gets done, I might post it on Friday because my Tuesdays are booked. I've got a lot of multi-chapters I want to write in the future, so it's nice to post quick one-shots at a time they won't interrupt a chaptered project's once-a-week update day.
Ex: Dog's Life will go on hiatus after its current arc to prevent it interrupting multi-chapters for the rest of 2025... It's all part of the "make storylines easier to follow" plan. Trying to post stories from start to end right now.
Again, Thursday may also play this role. Just depends how I'm feeling. Expect nothing on Thursdays when the TD stuff is done, and if something goes up, it's a nice bonus.
Tumblr media
SPECIFIC PLANS
Total Drama
Continuing from 2024, I'm still moving all my TD fics from dA and FFN to AO3. If you want to see which day a certain 'fic will post, scroll to the end of this post and look at Thursdays in the calendars.
For now, I'm not going to move Lyin' Queen, Beatin' Path, or Lions Under Palm Trees to AO3. Technically they're in my AO3 TD series, so they'll be the 3 mystery works at the end when we're done with the rest.
- Lyin' Queen - Staci-centric 'fic I scrapped because of a plot twist that turned out to be more ambitious than I thought. There are more chapters on dA than there are on FFN, but I feel like I need to scrap this whole 'fic and start over. - Beatin' Path - I honestly have a decent amount of it written, but I have other 'fics I'd like to prioritize. Like Lyin' Queen, this one had stuff I'd definitely scrap before I pick it up again. I'd also have to carefully rewatch some TD seasons to get these 'fics done and that's not in my plans right now. - Lions Under Palm Trees - My beloved… It got set aside because Beatin' Path needs to come first, and because of a plot point that I thought was straying outside the suspension of disbelief. If I never finish this one, I'll definitely post some stuff in Skeleton Train (my scraps series on AO3) because it has some of my favorite scenes. I love Leonard.
These are probably not 'fics I'll touch for the next several years; I'm pretty occupied with my current fandoms. Stay subscribed to my TD series on AO3 if you want updates for them someday - Maybe - but they're definitely not priority.
There are still two TD 'fics I don't plan to move anywhere. Bonus points if you remember them, but they were unfinished multi-chapters I no longer care to finish, so I don't want to put a spotlight on them. I had a one-shot about Noah at the library with his ex-girlfriend but ?? I cannot find it anywhere. I'm mad about it.
Tumblr media
Old Works & ARPGs (2026 & 2027)
I've been playing with the idea of posting my old Mario, PMD-E, and PMDU works on AO3, starting in 2026 (ARPG stands for art roleplaying game; these are my Pokémon OCs in a Mystery Dungeon world). Maybe even some really old stuff I wrote when I was like, 12, haha. Maybe not.
I have not turned them into mystery works on AO3 and I have no interest in making that effort right now, but since my AO3 is multi-fandom anyway, I do think it could be fun to preserve my writing journey. Idk if that would turn followers away, but that's why I have fandom-specific series you can subscribe to, so you do you.
I'm going back to school this year, and Dreadful Burden is the story I'm posting during finals in fall 2025… I know myself well enough to know I'll be more focused on exams if I have a complete project ready to post at that time, compared to if I just said "I'm on hiatus." In other words, the main reason to move these old works to AO3 during 2026 & 2027 is to tell myself "You already have stuff you can post once a week, so don't work on anything new right now; only focus on school." It's a nice thing to have in my back pocket.
These works were only posted on dA, so most of my modern followers have probably never seen them. The PMD-E ARPG group was deleted years ago, so unfortunately the context I can give will be limited, and PMDU's story points will probably be similar (since these were dA groups that released event journals and then members posted their submissions).
I might toss in some "52 Thursdays" stuff, so you'd get to see some of the storyline I wrote about my sona Kima taking over after Riddle. Fun times.
If you like Mario and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon stories, you might find this stuff fun, and if you don't, that's fine. Again, this is a loose 2026 & 2027 plan, and only if I don't have stuff for current fandoms to post.
My life's work is split between a bunch of websites (not to mention old word processors that I can't open anymore; I've definitely lost some of my childhood writing, but I have printed-off versions of stories I wrote when I was like, 9, that I'll lose forever if I don't retype them). It honestly might be cool to use The Archive as an archive and see all my work in one place someday. My writing ages, but so do I, and I like keeping it safe. We'll see what the future holds… I've got no one I'm trying to impress and I'm not in a rush.
WordGirl
I'm still sitting on some one-shot WIPs (and Factor It In chapter drafts), but they are not my top priority. You might see the one-shots and you might not… I love the idea of the one-shots (and they have some of my favorite quotes & relationship set-ups), but I don't think I'll have the bandwidth for them and don't want to force it. If they happen this year, they happen, and if they don't, that's okay. Someday…
I started drafting Factor It In in 2018 and it is my baby. I do not plan to abandon this 'fic, but expect my hiatus to continue for a while. In 2023, I really wanted to branch into new fandoms, so I started posting both Factor and Dog's Life. Dog ended up a way bigger project than I'd outlined it to be, and it has priority now.
I did reread Factor in March 2025 (and reviewed my entire story outline), so it's still on my radar. I really like it, but I want to give it the attention it deserves, and that's not right now. If you stick with it, I hope you love what comes, and if you lose interest, that's okay- Thanks for checking it out!
If it stays on hiatus for several more years, I'll probably clean the outline and post it on Tumblr so people can see that, but I don't intend to abandon it.
For the record, I don't consider "28 Cities" (my 31-day October challenge about Rhyme and Reason) abandoned, but I did burn myself out by posting daily, so that's a project I want to take time for and finish in advance before I start posting again. Factor It In is also laying the groundwork for the lore about charm schools and things, and I consider it to have priority.
"28 Million Degrees" is a WordGirl character study series of mine, and you can subscribe to it on AO3 if you like.
Again, not top priority in 2025, but I have two drafts for it that have had their art in my Tumblr queue since 2023, so ^^; maybe... It would be nice to get them gone (Rex's life on Hexagon & Victor character study).
Tumblr media
FOP
Sideblog Lore Posts
I feel the sideblog is pretty much where it needs to be. I still have a few draft posts, like one about the kids who are Poof and Foop's age, but it's like..... it's just a list of OC names; is that really worth posting at this point, or should I wait until they're revealed in story? I need to take the main blog's food & school posts and convert them to the sideblog style.
I may reblog a few posts from the main blog, such as my one about rich families in Dimmsdale and my 'fic guides for Origin and Knots. I'll make new lore posts if people have questions about the lore, but I'm feeling good about where the blog is right now.
tl;dr - I'd rather spend my time & energy writing 'fics than writing posts, but if y'all have good post ideas, that's exciting for me too. We like exciting things around here!
Sideblog Character Bios & Profiles
I moved from my house several months earlier than expected, and my art stuff (i.e. my art program, double monitors, custom brushes, templates, easy transparency options) stayed behind. I can't make new art for bios and profiles right now, but they're still on my mind. I'll probably work on text this year, and when I get my art stuff back, all I will need to do is the art and then we can move to having consistent bio & profile updates.
I have not been posting updates to "So, You're Studying the Mortifying Ordeal of Being Known" (AKA the place I post profiles & bios on AO3 as meta essays) because I'm trying to go in order, and that means the Fairywinkle & Cosma families are next on the list. I don't have those bio arts done, and it might be a while before I get there. I may visit home a few times in 2025, but art isn't necessarily a priority when I'm there.
- That AO3 has draft chapters of everything I want to post, so I DO know the order, and that helps me prioritize. - I can imagine myself getting my art stuff back later this year and doing bio art sketches without it being a big distraction during grad school, so who knows… Definitely prioritizing school
Wells family tree is still on hold until we know if A New Wish gets greenlit for more seasons; the Wells family is my lowest priority to write for. I've got enough on the to-do list that I'm not bugged about it.
I already have profile art & bare-bones drafts done for Poof, Foop, Hiccup, Goldie, Anti-Marigold, Jorgen, Dusty, Smoky, Sammy, Finley, and Longwood (plus I have sketches for Dev, Hazel, and Kevin that need lineart & coloring).
These are not high priority for me because I would prefer to write 'fics, but I might roll these out later this year (especially with Friday becoming a misc. update day instead of just an FOP 'fic day). No promises, but I'm still having FOP thoughts while posting for other fandoms :)
Dev's character profile will only go up after I finish the Dimmadome arc in my City Lights AU (AKA the "50 Words" works), as his profile has major spoilers on it. So, probably 2026 for him.
Tumblr media
Longfics
Frayed Knots is top priority in the longfic field. Origin of the Pixies is still on intentional hiatus until Knots catches up. They will alternate updates when we get to the war chapters. I think I can get TO the war this year, but there's a huge chunk of the Knots timeline that I miscalculated, and that will take more chapters to fix than I thought.
Things will be easy once we're IN the war, because I've had that arc nearly done since 2016, but I've been saying that for years :P I'm working on Frayed Knots in 2025, so hopefully 2026 will be a year heavy on Origin and Knots updates.
Hoping to get some timeskip chapters in for Knots, but I'm super hesitant to do that because we're finally in the "Anti-Cosmo becomes high-rank so we align with him representing his people during the truce in 'Balance of Flour'," and that feels like something that shouldn't be skipped over. Things are coming along, but it takes lots of brainpower and that makes updates slow.
My FOP 'fics are usually written in past tense and my MCYT 'fics in present-tense - plus they have different tones/genres - which makes switching between them in the same week a struggle. Just slow, so I've been doing a lot of outlining... That's why I'm writing a lot of MCYT 'fics right now, because those are easy projects to jump between.
My policy for Origin and Knots has always been "They need to be complete before I consider doing major revisions." That still holds. I look at them and feel like my writing has improved a lot since I started them (9 years ago now!) There's a lot I could say about the things I do and don't like about them, but I won't do that in this post.
I'd definitely write these 'fics differently if I started them today- Sometimes I get stuck in my head about it, which makes updates a little slow. I do intend to finish them and I don't want to get sucked into revisions. If you've stuck with them despite slow updates, thank you! They WILL be finished, even if it takes another 5 years. Hopefully it only takes, like… 2 :')
If you're interested in my FOP work, consider checking out the new FOP/MCYT crossover I posted on April 1st (You May Rest Now; There Are Fairies Nearby). I set it up so that if you're an FOP reader of mine, you can treat it like it's an OC fic and enjoy it without knowing anything about MCYT.
If it's not your thing, totally fine, but this is the "casually introduce the lore and don't get too deep into it" style I like writing in now (compared to how dense Origin and Knots are).
I think it's a fun read with a cool focus on godparenting from a fairy's POV, and it's been a good way to remind myself that I really do like FOP lore and FOP 'fics- It's just the whole "trying to fit my current brain to my old brain on these 9-year-old projects & dense lore" bit I'm struggling with.
It's getting Friday update slots for a while, and it's there if you want it.

Come What May
When I started drafting this post, I had this on my list to finish this year- It's even on my goals card. I'd rather go all-in on Frayed Knots Act 3 and not worry about this one instead of trying to juggle both.
When you look at my calendars (at the end of this post), you'll see some weeks labeled "wiggle room." If I can fit Come What May in there, I will, but with my busy schedule, it's more likely that I won't.
I expect this will be high priority in early to mid 2026 :)
130 Prompts
I have a posting order for these I like (Refer to the 130sums page). I've outlined and scrapped the next one at least 3 times, so I've been taking a break from it.
I'd like to post several 130 Prompts this year, but I'm not going to force it. If I can wrap up the current Poof arc, I'll be content- I've put them both on the calendar for late 2025.
One of the hang-ups for this arc was the desire to write "Kisses Full of Broken Glass" (rated M) to explore Poof's struggles with The Incident event more deeply than what the strictly Gen & T Prompts project allows. I'm glad I did it so I got it out of my system, and now I feel more prepared to approach the subject in the Prompts (where he's processing things in a more censored way).
Like Origin and Knots, the 130 Prompts are a project I don't intend to abandon. It's fully outlined. When I started it in 2016, I was whipping out short pieces, and these days I like to write longer works that delve deeper into the character study side. We're halfway through!
It's slow going, but it's mine <3
City Lights AU
The plan is to get the rest of the Dimmadome "50 Words" pieces out this year, but if it doesn't happen, that's okay. Their posts are queued on Tumblr tho, so I'm itching to have them gone so I don't have to change their deadlines so often to prevent accidental posting, haha.
I have them on the calendar around November/December.
The Dimmadome arc will go up first so readers can see the shape of the AU and where we're going - it'll be obvious why - and then we'll circle back to works that take place earlier in the City Lights timeline.
I have a loose draft for Lemonade and Papercuts, which is my Dale-centric longfic, but I'd really love to get Origin and Knots finished or nearly finished before I post for that. Keep your eyes out if interested, but that probably won't be around until 2027, or possibly 2028 depending on how much buffer I want before I start posting.
Misc.
I have some Reedfilter Rules drafts I'd like to get done, but as with most FOP 'fics, it's less of a priority than Knots, Come What May, and the 130 Prompts. I'm sorry I only update this 'fic once per year. Don't look at me.
I have 1 Reedfilter chapter on the calendar in 2025.
In the background, I do have an AU called Hazel Says Hello, but that's another thing that will probably be 2027 or 2028 era… I love the idea, and you might see me doodle for it or vaguely talk around it.
I don't want to share much right now, and I don't really want to make it a priority over existing WIPs. 2025 is a year of prioritizing things that are already up, after all, but it definitely got a "washi tape art" when I was trying to guess what things I might post while away from my art stuff, so… It's up there in things that interest me.
I also have an Angela-centric draft I think is neat, and I was going to post it as a 31-days project in October, but… tbh, it's a character study/critique combo with a lot of raw emotion and personal experiences in it. It's about psych classes and the silent pain of being taught things you didn't agree with then and definitely don't now that you're older, and I think I'll keep this one For Me.
Tumblr media
MCYT
All Tuesdays from now through December 16th have a 'fic update scheduled; scroll down to the end of this post to see my calendar. I can't promise they will all be done, but I've been pretty consistent at posting on Tuesdays since 2023, so I'm feeling good about it.
tl;dr - I'm on track to finish "Chalaza," "The Candles We Light," and "Top 10 Hanahaki Life Hacks" this year on top of my new  FOP/MCYT crossover (You May Rest Now; There Are Fairies Nearby) and wrapping up the current Dog's Life intermission arc. I'm hoping to get 3 or 4 Neighborhood Watch AU pieces out as well; expect these towards the end of the year.
I have all 10 chapters of The Dreadful Burden of Plotting Affairs ready to go, and that will be out at the end of the year. These are different AUs, so check out my MCYT AU navigation page if you want to subscribe to some things and not others.
One thing I'd love to do - but am not making a priority in 2025 due to lack of art stuff - is character bios… specifically with ref sheets for the Life Series ensemble. I like the designs I envision, but poses are hard, so… It's a dream. I might do some sketchy/messy art. I do think it would be fun.
In addition to designs, these would have info like soul temperatures, birth hubs, soul slots, camera twins, AFK server locations, orientations, and past relationship dynamics. I have some private notes, but I'd like to make something nice.
I did have plans for a one-shot collection called "Under Gravity," which was going to be 1 chapter dedicated to the childhood of each Pixels Imperfect AU major character. I've since scrapped this because I think it's smarter to upload them individually instead of as chapters in a single 'fic.
These won't get their own AO3 series since they're all Pixels Imperfect AU, so they'll just go there. If you're wondering why Pix Imp gained a lot of mystery works lately, it's largely because I split these up. It's possible some of these will post on Fridays, as that's becoming a general update day, but I also might save them to build a posting buffer for 2026. They're supposed to be like 2k or less each, so I hate restricting them to main day when I have a million plot points to hit, but...
Someday, I'd like to do "50 Words" works for MCYT duos. Since my Tuesdays are booked for 2025, this is another thing we can revisit in 2026.
I would like to get my bestiaries out this year (The only things I still need to finish for Herobrine's Guide), but there's a lot that goes into them and I need more time. RIP the bird ghast I drew that I'll probably be scrapping to make more amphibious :') I gotta scrap the whole draft for that section. Or I commit to bird biology like a NERD.
I know there's another Hermitcraft Guess the Author event this year. I have some works I started last year and didn't post. I might look at them this year (if their titles haven't been revealed in previous screenshots of my WIP spreadsheets), but it's really not my priority.
Tumblr media
Neighborhood Watch AU
I would really like to post for Neighborhood Watch AU in 2025, as I have not posted in it for a while and I like writing for it (I'm so excited for the Cornflower Waltz subseries; you have no idea)
I've locked 3 works down on the calendar in late 2025, and I'm not opposed to getting a 4th one out if I can. That said, expect updates to be slow.
I keep picking up "Goodchild Oscar," which I thought I'd be posting next, but it just feels clunky; I still need to flesh out & explain worldbuilding details. NW is the main series I want to focus on when I talk about "posting things in easy-to-follow storyline order."
What this means: Prioritizing early-timeline plot points like Grian's parents going red when he was 4, Grian becoming Tango and Skizz's foster child, Team Ties'g splitting up (AKA Etho going red when Grian was 7), Grian spending his summers at Oscar's manor, Grian meeting NW BigB, Martyn's failed proposal to Joel, Martyn's arranged marriage to Mumbo, Crimson King beheading, etc. These are all important plot points. I think it's smart to start from the beginning and work our way back up to where "For Sale: Bird Wings (Never Worn)" left off. Once all those early story points are complete, then we'll get back to "Goodchild Oscar." I'm excited to wrap up my existing multi-chapters ("Candles" and "Hanahaki"), but since I'm only posting once a week, they took a lot of space this year. I'll make NW AU more of a priority in 2026, assuming I'm doing all right in school and can afford to spend time on 'fics.
My longfic Arsenic Waltz will cover the Cleo/Etho marriage and divorce, so that will be in there somewhere too.
"With Acid In Your Eyes" is still on hiatus because there's a ton of stuff I need to lock down before I go too far with it... My bad. I'm facing some timeline weirdness (BigB especially), and I don't want to contradict myself later. I would be sad.
I don't regret including all those characters because it's a reference to the sleepover in Secret Life Ep. 2, where they WERE there, but BOY is that a lot of plot arcs I have to align... Trying to align BigB so he can date Cleo early on and Grian later is rough. Might need to split his character into multiple like I did for Bdubs Sr. marrying Cleo (3rd Life) and Bdubs Jr. (Limited Life) playing child role. I really want him to be One BigB if I can. Ahhhhh.

Calendars
And we made it! Thanks for reading my post :) If you want to find it again, it will be linked in my Pinned.
For those interested, here are screenshots of my ClickUp calendar- AKA, my 2025 posting schedule. Green works are complete and ready to be posted; blues are still in draft phase.
Everything is subject to change (i.e. if I don't get an update finished by the deadline), but it helps me organize and I like looking at it. This is the schedule I intend to follow if things do get done on time, assuming I have the Internet & health to post the update that day.
As always, thanks for your support in the form of views, kudos, comments, subscriptions, bookmarks, reblogs, Tumblr asks, fanart, rec posts, and everything else! I really appreciate the engagement :)
April
Tumblr media
Chalaza on Tuesdays, Total Drama on Thursdays (Revenge of the Island arc), You May Rest Now on Fridays.
The Dog's Life chapter ("Scatter") has been giving me trouble, but I think I'll have it out by the 15th or 16th. Everything else is done; should be a good April!
💥 - Post-April plans & calendars have been updated
May
Tumblr media
Chalaza on Tuesdays, Total Drama on Thursdays (RotI -> Not Dead; Sleeping AU multi-chapter), You May Rest Now on Fridays
Rest Now hiatus to allow for Chalaza buffer building. Purple heart emojis indicate Dog's Life chapters.
June
Tumblr media
More Chalaza on Tuesdays, Total Drama on Thursdays (Wrapping up Not Dead; Sleeping).
July
Tumblr media
Continuing Chalaza on Tuesdays, Total Drama on Thursdays (All-Stars & Pahkitew arc), You May Rest Now expected on Fridays.
Rest Now updates are subject to change.
August
Tumblr media
Chalaza on Tuesdays (nearing the end), Total Drama on Thursdays (Post-series works). You May Rest Now is nearing its end (Not sure how many chapters it will have).
That's all the Total Drama works except the unfinished multi-chapters! Check the TD section earlier in this post if you want more info on those.
As I'm drafting this in April, I have no solid plans to continue updating on Thursdays. It might become a bonus update day, but I may leave it blank so it's one less day to think about. School comes first!
September
Tumblr media
Our final Chalaza chapter! Dog's Life is pushed off one week more than usual because of this (5th week instead of 4th since its last update), but then it's done.
After this, we enter The Candles We Light (and Should Regret) - Silk Plays AU. That's the Etho/Cleo Cupid/Psyche AU- Very excited!
I placed tentative things on Fridays: some Neighborhood Watch AU 'fics and Frayed Knots updates.
"A Lord and a Baby," "Olive Branches," and "Fun British Games" are in the early NW era, where Grian is 4... Mumbo and Martyn are young and we'll follow their arranged marriage arc across several 'fics.
Possible bonus updates on Thursday. Nothing is planned.
October
Tumblr media
Continuing The Candles We Light on Tuesdays. "Velvet" is the final chapter for that story! "Night Guard" is a Dog's Life chapter that needs revisions, but its draft is complete.
Hypothetical Fairly OddParents updates (Subject to change). I'd like to post a Frayed Knots chapter and a 130 Prompt if I can.
"This Is Halloween" is a 130 Prompt that was posted on my FFN years ago. Since Halloween is on my FOP update day this year, it seems fun to post it.
It's 3 chapters and will likely be posted Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of that week.
November
Tumblr media
With Candles behind us, we move to Top 10 Hanahaki Life Hacks (Sour Petals AU) on Tuesdays. FOP updates include City Lights AU, Frayed Knots, and Reedfilter Rules.
All of these are subject to change, but I placed the 50 Words projects here since each prompt can be a short snippet... Much easier to finish/revise during crunch time than a major 'fic. Thursday is theoretically a bonus day, but again... No plans. I'd love to get a buffer done before we reach this point of the year, but if I don't, I'm studying for my grad classes, so I'll see you in 2026 ✌️
December
Tumblr media
Finishing Top 10 Hanahaki Life Hacks on Tuesdays. "Honey at Home" is our Dog's Life Act 2 intermission finale!
Dog's Life goes on hiatus after this until further notice. Don't expect it back until I wrap up some existing WIPs!
Wrapping up those Dimmadome arc "50 Words" projects on Fridays. "50 Words of Dev Alone" is the arc finale, so it's the perfect stopping point.
"Hyggekrog" is a Cosmo-centric one-shot I drafted years ago, but never finished. It's low priority, so it might not be posted here. I'll be wrapping up exams and enjoying the end of semester!
💥 - The Dreadful Burden of Plotting Affairs (A completed 10-chapter 'fic) has been bumped to spring 2026. It will post March through May. See you there!
This happened because Chalaza and this Dog's Life arc ended up longer than planned. My calendars have now been adjusted accordingly.
And that's the end of the year!
I'll be taking another winter fanfic break, which will be spent visiting family, enjoying holidays and time off from school, prepping for my next semester, and planning what's next.
Regular updates will return in March 2026 with Dreadful Burden. I'll see you then! Keep an eye on the #ridfic schedule blog tag for future news 💛

My writing sources
Tumblr media
Peep the Arcane themed gif (it's the only thing on my mind rn other than my WIP)
Anyway, I know no one asked but I think this might be helpful to anyone writing any form of story, so here are the sources I use!
Google Drive - I use google drive for everything! I find it really organizing to have everything in a folder, and it's also easy to upload files without taking up space on my actual computer
Google docs - I literally write everything on here. From character outlines to plot, to world history and geography. Also having it connected to my google drive makes everything easier to access.
Notion - Notion is literally so aesthetic and I use it to help organize the cities in my fantasy world so that it's not all jumbled up. It's easy to insert a bunch of images and it is also easy to get the hang of.
Inkarnate (free) - I use this website to make my fantasy world map. It's so cool and once I get an official look of my map I'll post it on here!
Miro - I use this to make a plot web. I would love to be one of those aesthetic writers who have the cork board and connect the lines, but for me everything is much easier digitally, so Miro is the best option for me!
Canva - Idk! I love making slideshows. So, in order for me to organize what I do know and what I don't know about my world, I make a canva slideshow and I make a timeline of world events. Canva is also very easy to make it pretty and aesthetic.
Behind the name - Helps with finding names from different cultures and their meanings.
Fantasy Name generators - I use this website when I need a quick name for something that really won't be important, but it's good for me to know as a writer.
@/ World building Question of the day - I love this page (here on tumblr!) It helps me think of things I didn't even realize I wanted / needed to know about the world my story is set in. Before I write I normally answer 10-12 of their questions as a warm up before getting into the nitty gritty.
And yeah! Thats all! I hope this helps anyone! :)

【KagePro】 KuroEne Shibari (Rope Bondage) + Maid Kuroha plays with Ene (NSFW) 🖤💙
(CW: NSFW)
Kuroha teases Ene with a vibrator (NSFW)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It just came to mind but ngl it'd be cool to draw a long forked snake tongue variant of this doodle as well. It'd be quick to draw as well.
I think the 1st one with the smug grin fits more, but both are nice ^^
KuroEne Scenario Ideas (NSFW)

Kuroha ties Ene up with mild shibari (rope bondage)
Sen's Meow Meow Mfs
Tumblr media
Masc charas I don't play about: Meow meow mfs 🐈‍⬛🖤🤍
Evil/morally bankrupt little guy!
(Tbh my faves are usually giant…)
Though I have faves who are average height too, like Hibari and Judar
Douman (FGO): 200 cm (6'7")
Hibari (KHR): 169 cm (5'7")
Xanxus (KHR): 188 cm (6'2")
Idate (WATGBS AU): 185 cm (6'1")
Judar (Magi): 173 cm (5'8")
Kuroha/Saeru (KagePro): 182 cm (6'0")
Note: While possessing Konoha's body
I'll put my previous ramble posts under the cut since this post is based on my previous posts. I'll also put my new ideas under the cut too
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anyways I think putting a Content Label and Read more before posting NSFW is a good idea cuz it gives people the option whether they want to opt into seeing it and a warning beforehand so they don't get jumpscared by it (like if you're in public or something)
I prefer clothed intimacy most of the time like it just looks sexier to me. Since the charas are fully clothed, it's pretty tame and nothing explicit is showing but putting a warning cuz the context is NSFW
Anyways I'm trying to practice drawing NSFW cuz I wanna get good at it one day 🙏
Normally I post rambles that I prepared in advance to post cuz I just copy paste them from my Notion docs but I felt sleepy yesterday so I didn't post them before. So I'm just gonna post some stuff I had in mind Ig
Gonna put a warning cuz the doodles are fully clothed intimacy, but REALLY NSFW.
Anyways I'm glad I'm getting better at drawing NSFW ^^
These are much better than my doodles from 2021 - 2022 (which I won't even show cuz they look like doodoo)

It just came to mind but ngl it'd be cool to draw a long forked snake tongue variant of this doodle as well. It'd be quick to draw as well.
Also did an alt version where Kuroha has a long forked snake tongue
I think the 1st one fits more cuz I like the smug grin, but the 2nd one is also cool
I'm not really paying attention to the way the clothes are drawn in these since I just wanna get the basic idea down
I love their expression here hehe
Also just put the JP version this time cuz I prefer the text formatting in JP. It's easier to format text. I also included the cropped versions
Ene suspended by ropes (shibari rope bondage) (NSFW)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kuroha/Saeru and Ene play a little game 🖤💙🐍🐇
KuroEne NSFW WIP
When Kuroha proposes wanting to play a game of shibari rope bondage and tying her up, Ene gets all embarrassed as usual, and then agrees to play with him.
Ene: YOU AND YOUR PERVERTED GAMES AGAIN!
Kuroha: I won't deny that. But knowledge comes from experience, right?
She makes him promise to just make it tight enough so that she doesn't fall, or anything, and that it only feels pleasurable and not painful. And Kuroha agrees with her terms.
I redrew Ene’s expression a few times but I’m pretty happy hehe
I still wanted it to be a comfortable position for her so I think this is ok.
Mild bondage is ok for me when it comes to ship intimacy 👍
I’m not into the heavy/extreme forms of it.
I’m not paying too much attention to the ropes so I just used a brush to get the basic idea down.
I'll also show the version without the rope brushes cuz it's covering the sketch
THIS IS FUEL FOR MY GAY ASS. YIPPEE!!!
Technically it’s just Ene but it’s KuroEne (implied). I didn’t know how to fit Kuroha into the piece so I’ll probably sketch something different with him. Like showing his reaction on the other side.
Or drawing both of them from side view, like when Kuroha walks up to her and leans in to touch her face gently while she's tied up.
Suspension bondage where Ene gets held up by ropes and has mild shibari (rope bondage) over her clothes 🥰💞
I was wondering whether to make the ropes black or red… Black, yellow, and red, are all Kuroha’s colours, so I think either is fine. I should probably add more ropes later.
Mf wants to see a needy Ene beg for him 🥰 Once he gets the reaction he wants, he’ll cut the rope that holds the vibrator in place, and then fuck her himself like that. When they’re done, he lets her down.
Ene: Let me down gently! Carry me! Ene is a delicate flower!
Ene: (//>3<//)
These two are so fun to write ship scenarios for, including ship intimacy… The pros of a guy that knows (almost) everything, can change his body into anything he wants, and is very open to experimenting in sex 👍
KuroEne AU: Maid Ene plays the roleplay game wtih Kuroha (NSFW)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sadistic meow meow mf plays a game with Ene in a maid outfit where she does maid roleplay for him (ie. cleaning the room, making tea) while having a vibrator inside her and Kuroha sits back and messes with the settings. And when he's satisfied, he fucks her.
KuroEne AU: Maid Kuroha plays the roleplay game with Ene
I'll just summarize this. Ene wants to get "revenge" on Kuroha/Saeru for teasing her mercilessly last time. Last time being the above scenario I described ^^
Ene's attempts to embarrass and fluster Kuroha/Saeru just ends up flustering her more. Her forms of "punishment" for Kuroha/Saeru's "bad behaviour" (Him not doing what she wants, like him spilling paint all over the walls and floors when she tells him to clean), are not punishments at all for him.
Ene decides to "punish him" for making a mess, by face sitting on him and making him take it and ordering him to eat her out, but then just has a sudden realization to herself like "Wait a minute… Is this even a punishment for him???"
(It's not.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ene: I TOLD YOU TO CLEAN, NOT CAUSE A MESS!!!
Kuroha: Come now. Do you really think I'd let you have your fun with me, only for me to be a passive participant?
Kuroha: I don't want to make things TOO easy for you. That would simply be boring.
Kuroha: But, let me make one thing clear. I'll be sure to claim my reward after we’re done.
Ene: That’s just so like you… Ok, ok! We’ll take turns! It’s only fair!
Kuroha: Of course~ It’s only fair we both get what we want.
Ene: Just wait until you're the one getting teased!!! BRING IT ON!!!
...
Ene initially thought that embarrassing him would be EASY (a piece of cake), but it turns out that while he likes getting teased in intimacy, he has no sense of embarrassment. And she eventually realizes that and decides she needs to change her game plan.
(In Ene's mind -> He's a mega pervert)
Kuroha just shrugs cuz of course he has perverse tastes. But then simply says that knowledge comes from experience.
Ene thinks to herself that while she likes taking the reigns in bed, she's actually not as good at the "punishment games" type of intimacy that he (Kuroha) is.
Ene thinks she can tease and fluster Kuroha once he's the one playing maid/Servant for her, but as always, he is going along with her whims because it's fun for the both of them. He causes mischief because he doesn't want to make the game "too easy" for her.
I wasn't sure whether I wanted to include this but I had this idea where Ene starts mimicking what Kuroha did in their previous games
...
Just had this thought where Ene tells him to lift his maid's skirt up for him, and Kuroha notices and picks up on it like, "I see, I see… You're copying what I did, hm? Well, I don't mind." And then does as asked and lifts his skirt up. Ene looks down and goes like (.) when she sees that he's hard, and immediately turns red-faced. And then screams, "Don't you have any shame!?!?" (///)
If I were to draw this, I'd have one of those manga panels where it's just a view of the outside of the building/house, and a speech bubble of Ene screaming like $(&!@%!@!%@)!%@
And Kuroha starts laughing at how Ene's attempts to embarrass him are just embarrassing her more. Then says, "Is it really such a big deal? We've done it countless times before. I don't have such inhibitions."
And Kuroha just goes like, "But how could I resist such a sweet and alluring prey, hmm~? It's simply too tempting~ I can't wait to see the expressions you'll make~ It makes me aroused just thinking about it…! How you'll moan and whimper and twitch—"
And Ene just fumes red from embarrassment and goes like, "ANDDDD THAT'S ENOUGH OUT OF YOU!!!"
Like god this mf just says/does the most provocative shit to provoke her on purpose 😭
DAKLSKLDSKLDKLS this idea is so funny to me ngl
KuroEne Shibari (Rope Bondage) (NSFW)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thinking about KuroEne shibari rope bondage with Ene with the rope ties over her clothes…
MOVE, KUROFUCKER, OUT OF THE WAY. I'M GAY!!!
It's still gonna be mild shibari though
It's not my thing for it to be super heavy.
I thought about the Outer Science MV, and how it's scattered with telephone poles and cords, and various junk heaps strewn across the backgrounds
Ngl it'd be cool if it's like…
Cuz I was trying to decide whether I wanted Ene to be tied up on the bed just with her arms on the bed (and her back on the bed), like usual sex positions
Or whether I wanted her to be suspended a bit (still in a comfortable position, though), where she's suspended in the air via ropes and held in place via his ropes and black aura spirals
I decided to go with mild suspension/hanging bondage. But I'm open to drawing both ^^
Cuz again I'm not into heavy/extreme kink stuff in my ships' bedroom intimacy.
Ene pouts and huffs at him that the ropes BETTER not come loose cuz it'd be super unsexy if she falls on the ground during sex, and Kuroha tells her not to worry because he's made sure the ropes are tight/secure enough and that he knows what he's doing.

"Side Two" Theory: The Web and "Protocol"
These are my admittedly rudimentary thoughts on what to expect of The Magnus Protocol. I'll note for starters that I have only just joined the online fandom so I have NO idea what kind of speculation has already happened and someone may have already said this somewhere. Not intentionally copying anyone though.
So it seems like the primary speculation starts with how the world of TMP is connected to the world of TMA...
One thing my friend Roxy @the-sound-and-the-furry had brought up with me on call following us listening to the TMA finale was the distinction between the titles of the two series', and how telling it could be. We know the Eye to be an entity not inclined towards any sort of direct action or interference - the dissonance between this and Jon's behaviors during the series being one of the main tells that he's not strictly in association with the Eye - and the title of Archives lends itself to this as well. What has happened has already happened, and you're a mere observer of it.
The title of Protocol, on the other hand, is a very proactive title, as Roxy pointed out. 'Protocol' is based around a simple question:
"What do we do if X happens?"
Within a week of this conversation, Roxy shared the following with me.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So I think this is a really sexy theory, and positing the idea of "is this the universe we came from, the next universe, or perhaps the PREVIOUS one" I think is key to answering the questions we all have about TMP.
But later on, in a similar conversation, something entirely different occurred to me.
In this instance, we were discussing the specifics of the TMA finale. Specifically, the Web's (alleged) plan and what about it did or didn't make sense. Here were my messages:
Tumblr media
(I am very aware the Spider chose the Eye specifically for its foolish nature this is just talking about hypothetically while it was initially forming its plan).
Roxy's notions about this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was in the process of replying to this idea that I was struck by the larger theory.
Tumblr media
"The Magnus Protocol".
"What do we do if there's another Magnus?"
We know the Institute at least exists in the world of TMP, so ostensibly Magnus would've been planning the same things here.
And speaking of...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think that with the tone of Gwendolyn Bouchard in the trailer, we sort of naturally pegged her as a sinister counterpart to Elias as we knew him in the series. But it makes far more sense that she'd be a pissed-off relative to me.
Tumblr media
(The Smirke Line doc is a separate theory doc I had created earlier in my listening to the series. Perhaps someday I'll get into it or discuss the specifics of the Web's overarching nature in other Powers' business. This is not that post, however. For the time being I think it's self-explanatory enough.)
There's also the fact that in this universe, modern technology is used to make the recordings, which given the Web's history with technology, and the incompatibility of the stories with it which created the necessity for the tapes, would suggest to me an entirely different type of plan for this universe.
I finally got the chance to go over the ARG results with some friends, and I won't say anything there particularly jumped out at me in terms of supporting or disproving this idea. But no loss is a win where I'm concerned, at least in the short term. I'm fully ready for this to be thrown out in episode one.
There was one other thought which did occur to me, though I'm not entirely sure I have the evidence necessary to support it, and it pretty much makes for just messy speculation right now. I'd be remiss if there's even a chance it's true and I didn't put it out there, though.
Throwing everything I just said about which universe we're in out the window, let's assume we ARE in the universe which follows the initial one from TMA - the one the entities were sent to.
Given that there are aspects to the Web's theoretical plan that seem confusing on paper, as well as one particular web-based episode I think didn't actually get explored further later in the show and its clues were never explained (hint: it's in season four), can we be so certain we know the ORIGINAL finale plan in its entirety?
This merits further investigation. But I do wonder if it's in any way possible that, should my idea about the Web's possible 'alternate route' be accurate, the original series was in some way meant to carry out this plan all along. That gets a bit red-string, I know. But for the moment, I'm not sure it's necessarily proven wrong. Feel free to comment or ask me about it if there are things that you think do, though. I'm very interested in unpacking this further and that's hard to do in a bubble.
Probably several other spider-based posts to come in the near future. I promise to occasionally talk about other things as well, maybe. There's several things I still haven't unpacked here that square interestingly with these ideas but I think it's too much for one post, and I don't want to go any further off the rails than I already have.
This post is already too much. If you did read it then cheers. Please come talk to me about stuff I've been waiting nearly a YEAR to talk to this fandom.

capstone update #1
TO REITERATE: I'm planning to produce a 30-min documentary film.
Hello, I'm finally here to update my blog! I meant to do this last week, but didn't... I was struggling to wrap my head around this project and what I'll be doing this semester.
I think I'm a little crazy for taking this on. Sometimes it feels like too much, but I certainly won't be quitting.
My first reality check was trying to populate the workback plan. It was a necessary step, but so difficult. I had to come back to it a few times to get it sorted out. I always feel like I'm overlooking something when I'm planning out a project, and I've never tried to produce something of this magnitude before. But I sat down with my workback plan again tonight and finally have it in good shape. Coming back to it has helped me process what I'll need to do, and I feel pretty certain now that I'm not forgetting anything. I also recreated my workback plan in Notion, because I don't think I'll be able to stay on track if I only look at it on Google Sheets. (The formatting... the lack of color-coding and other viewing modes... Nah, homie, I can't. TwT) I also gave myself dates to complete things by. I know I can work to a deadline, and now I have a ton of them. Isn't that fantastic!
Anyway, I'm really happy with my organization on this project now that I have all my tasks thought out, written down, and with dates. The tricky part now will be keeping the Google Sheet updated according to the Notion.
Right now I have a bunch of tasks marked as "in progress." There's so much I need to do in the next two weeks, mostly making lists of people and Instagram accounts to reach out to. I already follow a lot of accounts but I have not created a master list for myself to keep track of them all. Once I have my list, I can start drafting up messages to send to them, asking if they might want to participate in my doc, or could put me in connection with people who would. I'm kind of worried that I don't have much to show for myself, a presence, or a reason why they should trust me, that kind of thing. But I'll try it anyway.
I also need to draft emails/ send texts/ make phone calls to people I know, who said in one way or another that they might be able to lend a voice to my project. Cast out a bunch of lines and see if I get any bites. 🎣
Another thing is, I want to find videos on YouTube and Vimeo of the ʻOnipaʻa Peace March that happened a couple weeks ago. I wasn't able to go myself, but I'd really like to incorporate footage of it into my film. Maybe someone would be willing to let me use a few of their shots. If not a person, maybe one of the local news outlets. I also need to do some research. I have a playlist of some news clips about the Red Hill water crisis from when I made my 5-minute piece about it in Fall '22. But there have been updates since then, and I need to collect even more. I'm not 100% sure what or how much I'll do with it yet. But my creative process is 'collect all the stuff, look at and absorb it all, ???, get vision, create the vision'... so step one is gathering more things. :)
Also want to find more PDFs. Last semester, I found some studies and national news articles about Red Hill, pollution by the Navy/ issues similar to what's happening here, but my research topic was persuasion, so I spent the vast majority of my time on that. There's definitely more out there, and I want to find it because I'm thinking of using scans/ screenshots in my film.
Oh, and I'm planning to request titles from ʻUluʻulu by 2.16. Gonna try my absolute best to stay on top of the deadlines I've set for myself. LONG POST: FINITO!!!

Note
This is why you NEED to note down ideas you have, especially if you have a bad memory. People with amnesia carry notebooks all the time with them to make sure they can function day to day. Heck even a checklist on how to write a certain character can work.
//I don't possess that type of amnesia, as I don't think that my memory loss is THAT severe. Regardless, I honestly think I need to start writing down and noting ideas for not only the Practical Exams Arc but also the rest of any future arcs in general, especially for Season 2, where it's going to be completely original storylines going forward.
//Since this is the first arc that I've ever written, obviously I would be unaccustomed to how writing a story arc functions, or just writing a story blog in general. Now, this doesn't mean I don't have any writing talent, as there are a few story chapters that have been well written and well received, albeit they could've been expanded upon greatly.
//The main situation that I have with this blog is massive inexperience. I started this blog in September of 2023, and I would start the story near the end of the month. Considering that it's officially near the end of November, and we have been through so much plot progression(For better or worse), I'll have to admit that I was out of my depth when it came to writing this arc, as I didn't know how to handle certain types of characterization, like with Ibuki or Sato.
//And the dialogue absolutely reflects the amount of inexperience that I had going into this, as most of the dialogue is a really divisive bag between actually decent to completely weak and idiotic, and the amnesia wasn't helping things either.
//One thing I've been doing is trying to write down my ideas for certain characters and plot ideas for each story arc on Google Docs, observing their characterization from ASOOT, their interactions with other characters, and how they would behave and be characterized in this alternate world, which has far more significant issues besides the corruption of Hope's Peak, despite being one of the main important parts of the story to me.
//Another thing is that while I'm wholeheartedly enjoying writing the arcs for the season, I honestly didn't have the motivation to write this arc, as I felt it was just repeating the same formula that many other moderators for story blogs have executed far better than I'm doing. It's not wrong if you want to use an already existing idea for your introductory arc, but considering that the Twilight Syndrome Arc is one of the main introductory ideas fellow story moderators tend to write when it comes to Danganronpa 3 rewrites, it feels kind of repetitive to me, as I feel that I haven't really come up with anything truly original or noteworthy to set this blog apart from its predecessors.
//I had a conversation with Mod Bubbles on DM, and he brought up some incredibly valid points, saying that I shouldn't be afraid to take things in my own direction, and I actually agree with that point. Considering that the general consensus around the rest of the audience is pretty much everyone thinking "This is ASOOT, but with alternate history", I want this blog to be SO much more than that conception.
//Luckily, I've been trying to write down my notes on how to conduct future arcs on Google Docs, and it's been really helpful for my ability to write as a writer so far, considering that I started to do it yesterday. I'm going on the sole notion that I don't even have a clue as to how to correctly plan out a story arc and how to make better writing and dialogue for the rest of the story, so I've resorted to the most indigenous methods on planning out the story, by using Google Docs to take down important notes of information I researched and bring them into life in the story.
//If there's any advice for future story blog moderators, it's that before you start to officially begin a story arc, always make sure you planned your idea out for your story arc in advance, in terms of writing, characterization, dialogue, plot moments, conflict, lore, and resolutions, and take your notes in whatever different kind of format you want to save them in, so you don't forget what you conceptualized. I'm learning this experience the hard way, so consider this writing advice for how not to officially start a story, because otherwise, people don't really get invested that much in your story to even begin with.
