whenever i see people posting about the oculus in nyc (see image)

they always praise it as this beautiful piece of architecture but no one talks about how awful the concrete work is (literally looks like it was applied with a butter knife) + its stark white and in nyc its dingy as hell (also a shopping mall on a mass grave kinda distasteful but thats whatevs)

no one talks about its much more beautiful twin in polk county florida where concrete is so smooth it looks like steal and its a school instead of a failing shopping mall
