"I miss when movies weren't political-"
ALIEN is about a megacorporation coercing some salvagers into transporting a dangerous creature without telling them what it is, all because the creature could be a great bioweapon for them. When a survivor of this failed transport mission wants reparations, they screw her over to avoid a scandal.
ROBOCOP is about another mega-corporation experimenting with a cop's body and declaring him their property, trying to reduce him to an obedient killing machine who can maintain the status quo for them.
JURASSIC PARK is about a rich billionaire going all out to make a dinosaur-themed amusement park, not caring about the real-world implications of resurrecting giant lizards. He also underpays ONE guy to maintain the entire park's security systems so predictably, that one guy betrays him at a crucial moment.
The best movies weave their politics with plot & character, so you can enjoy them as entertainment but can also notice the themes. Movies without themes wind up being all spectacle and no substance, just noise and color like Michael Bay's Transformers franchise. Yeah, they make money, but they'll be forgotten in 2 generations.

Progress is being made on the tyrannosaur block! Steve is removing pounds of matrix to expose the neck of Tantalus/Denver's Tyranno/Little Denver (nickname debate ongoing) with the ZPT-BR (ZOIC Bronto). This dinosaur was found in the "death pose", meaning its neck is bent over its back. The top of the head should be near the hip region.

Cloud, not only realizes that he's the new Lazard but also the new Angeal as well.
Cloud: Have you finished your paperwork?
Zack: No.
Cloud: Have you beat your previous record in the combat sim?
Zack: No.
Cloud: Did you take the chicken out the freezer like I asked?
Zack: No.
Cloud: What have you done successfully today?
Zack: I didn't cry when I got out of bed.
*Cloud gives him a gold star*

*Cloud is standing near a corner holding two leashes*
Tseng: Cloud, I wasn't aware you had dogs.
Cloud: dogs?
*Sephiroth and Genesis run out from behind the corner with those toddler leash backpacks*

Official Dinoland USA mourning post. Please share things you'll miss about the land. Some of mine:
The Trilo-Bites food stand
The video of Aladar walking around the Dino Institute that plays in the Dinosaur gift shop
Sue the T. rex's cast and getting to tell people that McDonald's was responsible for buying the original skeleton
The little scarf they put on that Corythosaurus statue on the dinosaur sculpture trail
The third Carnotaurus animatronic on Dinosaur, which has possibly the funniest B-mode ever
The Boneyard, and how cast members never look at you weird for playing in it even if you're an adult
Chip and Dale's dinosaur costumes
The fact that they refer to every other dinosaur on the ride by their scientific name, but the raptor is just "raptor"
Hey did you know that the red, white and yellow pipes are ketchup, mayo and mustard?
The unbeatable thrill of winning a Triceratops Spin plush, because the carnival games require skill and you know you earned it
Rope dropping Dinosaur and walking onto it several times in a row
