Acclaimed arthouse director Hook, the auteur behind several film-festival-sweeping indie flicks that you're probably not cool enough to have heard of, gets his big break when a major studio offers him the chance to direct his first big budget blockbuster movie. But to him, it feels more like selling out. You see, the suits at the studio don't Get It, Man! They want him to compromise his artistic vision and make something that's commercial instead of challenging!

To make matters worse, the studio has final say on casting and they insist that the lead role be played by disgraced Hollywood ''bad boy'' (there are not enough air quotes in the world to put around that) Jack Perry, in a bid to rehabilitate his image after several scandals and launch a comeback. Hook can't stand this guy, this arrogant diva - it's hate at first sight. But he's already signed on for the movie and the money's crazy good and he really believes in this story so he doesn't feel like he can quit.

So the two of them have to work together, form some kind of uneasy working relationship, despite the animosity between them. Every day on set is a nightmare, a battle between Jack's arrogance and outlandish demands and Hook's stubbornness and insistence on trying to make this dumb movie into Real Art. Hook whines to his film school buddy and ex, Julia, about how difficult Jack is to work with. But she tells him he might be projecting. That maybe the reason why Jack drives him crazy is because he sees himself in him.

And then eventually, they fuck, so Hook definitely does see himself inside Jack. Ba-dum tss.

🌺🌿 — TROLLS AU TIME

I had this idea a while back. It’s not completed but I want to show what I have so far.

Basically, the au is a Troll parody of the Mamma Mia movie. Before Poppy and Branch’s wedding, Poppy finds out King Peppy’s three past exes and, determined to figure out who is her real mother/father, she invites them all to her wedding. THEN chaos occurs!

While it pretty much follows the movie’s plot with some changes I made. Mostly to make it so Poppy and Branch together are still the main characters in the story. BUT I will be covering the au’s plot line in another post! [I will add the link right here and below!]

Here was my first attempt on designing the three exes. I also thought it would be funny to name them after the Golden Girls because they’re old people trolls-

I don’t have a definite names for them but I been using the names: Dotty, Rose, and Blair. So I’m just gonna call them that for now.

💜 — Blair was the first one I finished. She takes the place of Henry from the movie. Blair is a solo business troll who designs clothes. She uses quilting and knitting as her main form of design.

Blair is your classic diva-confident and very regal type of person. Poppy really looks up to her because of her raw passion for her craft and fun personality. She is King Peppy’s 3rd ex.

❤️ — Rose was the next one I finished. He’s takes the place of Bill from the movie. Rose is soft-spoken and easily a comforting parent figure. He enjoys tending to his garden and gifting big bouquets of flowers.

Rose is always encouraging to others and his compassion is his strong suit. Poppy becomes close to him after he helps comfort her from all the stress from the wedding. He is King Peppy’s 2nd ex.

💛 — Dotty is a design I’m still not completely happy with and would like to work more on. She takes the place of Sam from the movie. Dotty is the level-headed and more serious type. Kinda has the strict mom friend energy between the three of them. Seemingly being the one Poppy is the least alike with.

Dotty would be the one to focus more on why Poppy invited them. Asking Poppy what the real reason is and if that’s really want Poppy wants. (This will make more sense when I explain the au’s storyline). After some time, Poppy and Dotty become close as Dotty helps Poppy reflect on the situation and herself. Dotty is King Peppy’s 1st ex and old childhood best friend. HUGE DRAMA BETWEEN THEM!

Also she owns a hot air ballon and helps bring Rose and Blair to the wedding. That’s how they all met up.

Adding more, Rose and Blair have been best friends since they were small. That’s right! King Peppy dated two people who were best friends. Smh. Oh the drama.

Btw, none of them are still in love with King Peppy. All of them moved on, if not a still little pissed off with him (Dotty mostly because they were childhood friends and have more history together). But they all will learn to get along and become close parent figures to Poppy. Yippie!

Here’s another list of thing that I think are canon for our lover boy Bucky and no one can convince me of otherwise.

1. Bucky has complicated feelings about wanting a family.

In the 40s, he would’ve said yes in a heartbeat because that’s what was expected of him and look at him. Who wouldn’t want him as the dutiful husband and involved father of your children?

But then the war and HYDRA happened and he told himself no. Never would he have a relationship, a marriage, or a family. He had Steve and Sam (even if he didn’t want to admit the last one). He would be fine without any of that.

Things became even more complicated when Steve fucked off back to the 40s and chose Peggy. Bucky always had feelings he knew weren’t normal for his best friend but he couldn’t address them. He had more pressing matters than to figure out if he loved his best friend or loved his best friend. Deep down he wanted Steve to be more than just his family. He wanted Steve to build their family with him but when he left without so much as a good explanation, it crushed him.

Sam stepped up and showed him what found family meant, showing Bucky that family didn’t have to be born. We can choose who we love and call our family. Being so quickly accepted by Sam’s family meant the world to him because it meant that they wanted to be around him. They wanted to get to know him and to care for him. It wasn’t out of duty, honor, pride, or any of that other bullshit. It was out a desire to care for and love Bucky as he was.

Finding his family in Sam felt like that one Hozier song:

Except Bucky knows that Sam cannot replace Steve not does he want that. He wants a fresh start and that’s what he got.

Now…. when he meets you?

All bets are off. This man sees you hanging out and bonding with Sam’s nephews as if they’re your own, and he’s weak in the knees. You help Sarah with something in the kitchen? Bucky needs a minute to recalibrate his brain. You flick shit at Sam? Bucky is smiling but also dying on the inside because his heart is beating so fast and he can’t get it under control.

But the moment he sees you gently rocking a baby to sleep, he’s about to drop onto one knee and ask you to marry him. You’re talking to Sarah and someone had passed off this crying child to you so you zip them into your coat and start swaying to get them to calm down. You’re patting their back in slow rhythmic motions, much the same way you do to Bucky when he’s feeling anxious or has a nightmare. Sarah doesn’t bat an eye because she has two kids of her own and you two carry on your conversation. When Sam and him walk over, he literally stops dead in his tracks and gasps. Sam goes to give him shit but he follows his eye-line to you and makes a point to get your attention. You turn around ever so slightly and that’s it. Bucky is a puddle on the ground at the sight of you with a fast asleep baby wrapped in your coat.

2. He is actually a diva when it comes to the closet and your clothes.

He has a system okay? Shirts, jackets, sweaters, and sweatshirts all get hung up. Undershirts and pants are folded while his underwear and socks are rolled into neat little sausages so they can be put into a drawer. His shoes go under where his clothes are hung up and whenever he hangs up his clothes, they all get turned right side out so he can see what they are when he’s flipping through them.

You on the other hand are a savage and shove whatever fits into the drawer. Yes of course, socks and underthings go in one, shirts in another with bottoms in the last drawer but there’s no order. It’s all chaos and on more than one occasion, he has made you sit down and reorganize everything. Your clothes are going to look the way his do and he will do your laundry for you if that means it stays that way.

Although when you move in together, it’s gets significantly better because he’s the one doing laundry so he has complete control over it.

3. Mexican food is his shit.

Mexican food didn’t become mainstream outside of South Western America until after he was taken by HYDRA so it’s unlikely that he’s ever had it prior to TFATWS.

He and Sam needed to go to San Diego for some Captain America thing and you went with them. You were craving some legit tacos after being on the East Coast for too long. There are obviously good taquerias and even Mexican restaurants in general in Washington D.C. but those places don’t compare to California’s Mexican food.

(This part is based entirely on my own experiences) Once you’ve had food from the taquerias that sit in parking lots, nothing can compare to the thrill of ordering and being able to taste how fresh it is. The pickled carrots and jalapeños are so crisp. The radishes taste like the pico de gallo because they used the same knife to cut it and your sauce levels are white people, normal, and abuelita.

Anyways you drag them along and Bucky is making comments about how you’ve lost your mind because “this is parking lot to an empty store. There’s not going to be food here.” Sam is snickering in the back seat because he knows what’s up and he helped pick the place.

Bucky doesn’t want to get out of the car at first but when you hop out, he’s swinging that door open and trailing after you. There ain’t no way in hell he’s letting you walk up to this food truck but yourself. He’s also completely taken aback by the fact that you order what he thinks is enough food for ten people and not three. You send a quick smile to him over your shoulder and thank the people as you start passing food off to him and Sam. When you all sit down at the wooden picnic table that’s sitting off to the side of the taqueria, you explain what everything is and even tell Bucky what order he should eat.

After that, he’s practically begging you to take him back so you can get some of the “best damn food he’s had in a long time.”

Cassandra looks up at Aurora, processing her words. The diva just gives her a humorless look before looking down at the papers on the table.

Cassandra: “You’re not funny.”

Aurora just grins at this, resting her head on her arms as she watches Cassandra work.

"Oh, I’m sorry.”

Cassandra doesn’t say anything and just continues working. Aurora frowns.

Don’t tell me she’s mad... Well, I have been a little rude to her.

“So… I heard you have a hate club now.”

Cassandra pauses for a moment, looking up at Aurora.

"Yeah, the fuck Cassandra Dimitrescu club or something like that. I think it is led by some gal named Sam. Im not sure to be honest.”

Cassandra laughs at this, literally wiping tears from her eyes from how hard she was laughing. Aurora just looked at her with a smile.

Cassandra: “Are you serious?”

She laughs a little more before a smirk makes its way to her face.

Cassandra: Well, I guess loving me wasn’t enough, uh?

Aurora rolls her eyes at her.

“Okay, calm down, you overcaffeinated theater kid.”

Cassandra looks overly offended by the remark before lifting up her cup of coffee and dinking from it. Aurora chuckles and leans back in her chair, crossing her arms.

"Oh, come on. You know they're just jealous of your talent and fabulousness."

Cassandra raises an eyebrow, putting her cup down with a mix of amusement and curiosity on her face.

Cassandra: "Really?"

Aurora nods, a mischievous glint in her eyes as she leans closer to Cassandra.

"Absolutely. I mean, who wouldn't be jealous of someone as talented, confident, and stunning as you?"

Cassandra smirks, seemingly enjoying the flattery.

Oh man, this is probably getting to her head.

Cassandra: "Well, I can't blame them. It's not easy being this amazing."

Aurora playfully rolls her eyes again.

"Oh, please. You're not fooling anyone with that modest act."

Cassandra chuckles and goes back to her work, but Aurora can see a hint of satisfaction on her face.

"So, are you going to do anything about this 'hate club'?"

Cassandra shrugs nonchalantly.

Cassandra: "Nah, let them have their fun. It's not like their opinions matter to me."

She moves some papers around, staking them together before putting them away on a binder and inside her bag. She perks up at the sound of the cafe door opening.

Cassandra: “Coffee!”

The Diva exclaims, bouncing on her feet and turning to Aurora.

Cassandra: “I’m going for more coffee. Wanna come with?”

Aurora nods, standing up as they both enter the cafe. She stays behind Cassandra, who walks up to Elena with a smile.

Cassandra: “I’ll have the usual.”

Cassandra turns to Aurora.

Cassandra: “Pick something, whatever; it’s on me.”

Aurora approaches Elena and looks at the menu. The barista gives the both of them a knowing look.

Elena: “Walk of shame?”

"Nah, I don’t want any diseases.”

She continues to look at the menu, ignoring Cassandra, who was choking on her coffee in the background. Elena looks slightly amused, snickering to herself.

Elena: "Well, I haven’t heard that one before.”

Aurora just smiles at her and asks for a latte. Elena nods before heading to the back to make their order. By the time the brunette turns around, she can see Cassandra sitting down on a table with a frown on her face. She makes her way to her, sitting down on the chair in front of her.

“You mad?”

Cassandra: “Asshole.”

Aurora raises an eyebrow at Cassandra's response, a playful smirk on her face.

Aurora: "Oh, come on, Cassie. Can’t take a little teasing from what you called me again. Oh yeah, a feisty girl.

Cassandra sighs and shakes her head, unable to hide the hint of a smile on her lips.

Cassandra: "Sometimes I wonder why I put up with you after all this time."

Aurora pauses for a moment, looking at Cassandra strangely. The Diva looks at her for a moment before she awkwardly sinks into her seat, a flustered look on her face.

Cassandra: Well, you know, I don’t normally do this thing with people, so...

Cassandra tries to find the words, and Aurora just looks at the brunette; her eyes soften at her awkwardness.

“So I’m special.”

Cassandra freezes in place.

Cassandra: “Uh…”

Elena: “Oder for Cassandra!”

Cassandra quickly snapped out of it, standing up to get the two coffees and almost tripping when she stood up from her chair. Aurora looked at her with amusement, and you could hear Elena laugh before Cassandra glared at her. Cassandra grabs the two coffees, staying to talk with Elena for a few minutes. That’s when Aurora hears the door ring, and before she knows it, she has the three Stans in front of her.

“May I help you?”

They don’t answer her; the three just give her nasty looks before Rebecca steps forward with a smirk.

Rebecca: “Hu, you must be the new skank.”

The other two behind her chuckle, and Aurora can’t do anything but just look at them unimpressed.

Bitch, I just got here.

Cassandra finally decided to come back and got beside Aurora.

Cassandra: "Hey, what are you lovely ladies doing?”

The Stans are immediately all over her, and Aurora can see the almost unseen look of discomfort on Cassandra’s face.

Rebecca: “Oh, Cassandra, we were just keeping her some company.”

The blonde looks at Aurora with a smirk.

Rebecca: “She seems lonely.”

No, she didn’t.

Cassandra raises her eyebrow, looking in Aurora’s direction. The brunette just smiles at her before standing up, taking her coffee from Cassandra, and dumping it on Rebecca. The blonde screamed dramatically before noticing that the coffee wasn’t hot anymore but that it still ruined her outfit. The other two behind her just look shock like deer in headlights.

Rebecca: “You bitch!”

Rebecca looked livid and ready to pounce on Aurora. The brunette just grinned before grabbing Cassandra’s hand and sprinting out of the cafe.

The two managed to get a few blocks away and lose the Stans in an alleyway next to the pizzeria.

Cassandra: “What the hell is wrong with you?”

Cassandra exclaimed out of breath, but with a present smile on her face, Aurora lifted her hand up as she hunched over, still catching her breath. She chuckled.

Aurora: Hey, she deserved it.

Cassandra shakes her head with a pleased look on her face. That’s when Aurora's phone goes off.

“Ah man, I’m late for my theater class.”

Cassandra: “Shit, I’m late too.”

The two look at each other before Aurora smirks and boops Cassandra's nose.

“Race you to the university!”

Aurora laughs mischievously as she sprints away, leaving Cassandra standing there with a mix of confusion and surprise on her face.

Cassandra: Wha… Oh, you little-

She quickly gathers herself and starts running after Aurora, laughing when she sees the brunette trip halfway.

1. sam - took me a bit to like him ( haven't even finished his playlist yet) but god his character hurts me, he and darlin have gone through so much shit . the video talking about the future with your vampire mate basically sealed the deal on him being my favorite character, and after reading one of the bright eyes series transcripts, it makes me even more interested in his character . (and his southern accent may or may not have awakened something in me)

2. avior - is it obvious i like tragic characters yet . his series is one of the first ones i've listened to fully, and the chokehold that the plot twist had on me was insane . the realization that he had loved starlight so much that he deus ex machina'd them out of the hellscape, and then was silently YEARNING when they were pulled back . i was sobbing you don't understand officer. also love his early sarcastic personality (despite it being a facade) and his constant need to wax poetic, i wish we still saw a little bit of that in his newer audios though

3. guy - ohh the love of my life . the only comfort character ever . babygirl . he does exude millennial cringe sometimes but i can gloss over all that because i love him  🫶🫶🫶 also love his dynamic with honey they r so cute together . his flashback audio is so good AUGGHH the tension . personal favorite audio of him though is his first sick video , because i am THE guy angst enthusiast and it's the closest i'll ever get to it . he is sooo silly idc i always binge his playlist when i can't sleep (ironically i always listen to the one where he attempts to help honey sleep and it works 🫶)

4. lasko - babygirl #2 🤞🤞🤞 love him he is just an overall sweet character . i've also said this before but, him being labelled early on as submissive irked me because i usually found those character tropes annoying and they tended to be infantilized . but the thing is with lasko its not his entire characterization , he's still a very good professor at the academy and ughhhqhh i know how 2explain it i jst love him (also. his slip up in the hot boi summer audio. he is freaky .)

5. geordi - his and cutie's story is so interesting . i love their storyline so much even if it hurts to listen to the audios . they're both flawed characters in a relationship but they're still taking the necessary steps to be better. additionally, while i definitely don't stand for the shit cutie did, i can relate to them in the sense of needing to know what people are thinking to function properly, which is probably another reason why geordi and his storyline hits so close to my heart . (is that corny. maybe)

6. asher - one of the reasons im in the fandom tbh !! he's one of the first characters i got into, specifically his valenweek flashback audio i ate that shit up . . i don't listen to him that much now but still !!! i owe me being here to his character lol

7. hush - creature/babygirl . i was kinda intimidated to listen to his playlist (for god's sake his title is "mysterious stranger") but ohhhh i love him he is so strange. tying doc up in one video and then asking them to hold his hand a few videos later??? love that . him showing up in carpe deus and fucking wrecking vega kinda sealed it for me . love theorizing about him too, if that's not obvious 🫶

8. porter - when i heard the voice that this character had. i can't even explain to you what my reaction was . he's such a fucking diva i love it so much , this guy is like 80% snark, and he just fucks with vincent for no reason .(when he said he was gonna bring treasure to the summit but didn't 😭) he's also so interesting . while ya he was sent to go to the summit and assassinate a clan king (which he succeeded in) he told sweetheart about the bennets discussing their partnership with closeknit so they could get necessary info, he provided an alibi for vincent, he also stopped grilling sam when darlin told him to . (also his 2nd video with treasure . killed me tbh)

9. marcus - not proud to admit that marcus is the first character i came across on erik's channel . marcus is weirdo number 1 (derogatory) and i just find his storyline so interesting. yeah its sad why he did what he did, but overall he knew what he was doing , he fucked everyone else over, and compromised a project, of which the failure could mean life and death, just because he wanted to get freaky with the robot . his obsession and little impulse control being overrun by the asset's obsession with him. GOD . . the satisfaction i felt when he was taken away 🫶

10. caller - weirdo (compliment) . again as a horror enthusiast i love this guy . he's like ghostface but if ghostface could phase through walls/was already in your house (and also weird and obsessive) . his audio made me have the same reaction when watching horror content : "holy shit i love this but also i hate this" 10/10 . he's only last because he has one (1) video . 💔

1. Nirvana in Fire - the protag was way too OP and I also never did overcome my conviction that Wang Kai would get eaten alive by the court the moment MCS died - ideals and inability to do sleazy compromising morally grey things combined with too much morality make for a terrible ruler.

2. Castaway Diva - it was so fucking precious I wanted to scream “you can’t do magic realism with your magic chirpy castaway.” Sure Jorge Amado could but you ain’t Jorge Amado.

3. Extraordinary Attorney Woo - I do not do lawyer dramas at all. And as a contrarian, the more people fangirled over it, the more annoyed I got.

4. You are Beautiful - yeah it’s old but I can hold a grudge. Watching it as it aired was extremely not fun with insane fans who were enraged the ratings were not whatever it was, the characters were annoying as fuck and JGS decided to cosplay as his character in this for a decade after, the ending was lifted from A Star in my Heart. But honestly it’s the psychotic fans that really did it for me.

5. Start Up - why it inspired this degree of obsession and virtiol is beyond me but I couldn’t look at anyone involved for years.

6. Legend of Zhen Huan - I hate all harem dramas and the better made the more I hate them because all those smart women fighting for attention of one gross fail man so as to survive or for power or because it’s him or nobody is, historically accurate or not, depressing as fuck.

7. Legend of Fei - color beige given form.

8. Moon that Eclipses the Sun - moronic plot, dumbing down of any historical reality of anything, lead pair with no chemistry (and leading lady who can’t act), and the start of the horrifying fluffy youth sageuk trend. If I had Thanos’ zapper to use only on one drama this would be it.

9. My Name is Kim Sam Soon - once again huge old hit and I can hold grudges - it’s not funny and the leads are an immature annoying unlikeable pair. When the only character I like is the secondary girl you know you fucked up.

10. Rookie Historian - makes Moon that Eclipses the Sun seem like Jumong. Also if Cha Eun Woo actually moves his face I think the world might end so I am grateful to him from protecting us from that apocalypse in that and every other drama.

The Pancake Conundrum

August 12-18: Sam Wilson

Pairing: Sarah Wilson X Bucky Barnes

Author's Note: Inspired by my mother who woke me up with a ridiculous craving. 😊

Summary: Bucky needs Sam to help him make Sarah happy again.

“Sam wake up.”

“No.” Came the muffled reply.

“Sam please, I need you.”

“No.” He buried himself under his blanket for emphasis.

“Sam!” Bucky grabbed the blanket and yanked it off him.

“You need to learn a thing or two about consent.” Sam whined as he glared at him with one sleepy eye opened. “I said no, meaning I do not consent to whatever fuckery you want me to participate in.”

“Sarah’s crying.”

“So you’re her husband, make her stop crying.”

“I am trying but only you can solve the problem.”

“That is…?”

“She wants your banana pancakes because mine aren’t the same.”

Sam sat up. “Are you kidding me?”

“It’s her hormones, she’s all over the place. Come on man, please. Help a brother-in-law out!”

“You know you could’ve avoided all of this by not dating her when I told you not to.” Sam groaned, glaring at him.

“Sam, I love her, I married her, get over it. Now come on!” He pulled on Sam’s arm.

“Gah! Alright, alright!” He finally gave up and got out of bed.

The men quietly bickered on their way down to the kitchen where Sarah, in shorts and tank top with a smooth, round belly poking out was sniffling into her napkin.

“Bucky I’m sorry. I know you meant well.” She cried a little.

He quickly sat in front of her and gave her a kiss on her cheek. “It’s okay, don’t cry. I brought Sam. He’ll make better pancakes.”

“You diva.” Sam retorted as he looked over the batter and pancakes that Bucky had made for her. “Crying over pancakes like a brat. Mom would’ve made you eat those.”

“Oh shut up, Sam.” Sarah snapped. “I know they’re fine, but they didn’t taste like yours and I just started crying. This baby’s got me all messed up. I hate it!”

“I’m sorry.” Bucky apologized, offering her another napkin to cry into.

“Oh no, it’s not your fault. I love our baby, I do, I’m just so tired of being fat, and hot.” She tugged on her tank top. “It’s so hot in here.”

“It’s August. What do you expect, sis?” Sam said. “In fact, the house has been the coldest it’s ever been in years. What temp do you have it on?”

“Sixty degrees.” Bucky replied. “I bought a separate unit for our bedroom. It’s fifty in there.”

“Jesus, I hope your World War II pension has enough for the electric bill!”

“Sam please fix the pancakes!” He begged.

“Fine, fine!” He tasted the batter. “It tastes like mine.” He looks at the pan. “There’s your problem.”

“Which is…?”

“You got to use bacon grease, man!”

“Bacon grease? She can’t even eat bacon right now; it makes her sick!”

“No one said she had to eat the bacon!” Sam said as he went into the fridge. “Aha, always have some on reserve.” He said, pulling out a small Tupperware containing congealed yellow grease.

Soon Sam had the pan hot with the bacon grease going and ladled in the batter. Making three of them he added more bananas and drizzled it with maple syrup before setting it in front of his sister with a flourish.

“There we go. The original and still the best banana pancakes.” he said proudly.

Bucky rolled his eyes.

Sarah said nothing as she tentatively dug in, then proceeded to clean the plate and once she finished, she leaned back with a sigh of relief. “Bucky, can we go back to bed now?”

“Gladly.” He said as he easily scooped her up. “I’ll clean everything up in the morning.” He promised.

Sam shook his head before turning off the stovetop and setting the pan aside, then covered the remaining batter and put it in the fridge to use in the morning. “Think I’m going to soundproof my room. You two are ridiculous. I can only imagine how much crazier it’s gonna get with the baby.”

“Stop playing. You love this baby too, Sam.” Sarah mumbled, resting against her husband’s shoulder.

“I do, but yall are too much. I mean it’s freezing up in here!” He turned to Bucky. “How do you even sleep in that room?”

“I got two words for you, Sam. Cryogenically frozen.”

“Oops, my bad.”

“I hate you,” Bucky carefully laid Sarah on her mounds of pillows before returning to Sam, “And thanks.”

Sam yawned but waved it off. “It’s nothing. Good night.” He went back to his bed and buried himself under his blanket.

“G’night.” Bucky mumbled before closing the door and sliding down onto his small slice of the bed, Sarah fast asleep, minor crisis averted.
