Hello everyone, I was attacked unprovoked on the Subway yesterday. I believe I was targeted because I was wearing my pride shirt work uniform I am also a bisexual woman with a very public presence on the internet and in the city as I am a performer at Ellen’s Stardust Diner in Times Square. I was beaten badly and taken to hospital by ambulance. It took two phone calls to 911 and an hour wait for police to arrive, so clearly my assailant got away. The cops also victim blamed me for the attack as if sitting quietly with your AirPods on is somehow not being vigilant enough at 3 o’clock in the afternoon on a busy subway car. But what else do we expect from the NYPD at this point. I have large bruises and giant swellings on the right side of my head, and it’s caused my vision to blur, my hearing is gone because my eardrum is filled with fluid and I am dizzy and nauseas all the time. Laying down is painful because of the contusions but sitting up is miserable too. Until my visions improves, my hearing returns and my bruises and swelling fade I don’t know when I’ll be able to return to work not even considering the fear of taking the subway now. We are Still homeless we need to fix the alternator in our car and our only income is delivering food and we only have one car. What pains me even more is that due to the lack of medications in Gaza, my Mom, who is a type 2 Diabetis patiant and was scheduled for an urgent eye surgery, have had no access to insulin or any medical care for the past 3 months. Some of my family members sought refuge in the southernmost part of Gaza (Rafah) in tents. However, my parents, and sisters have no alternative place to stay, forced to remain in the Nusierat refugee camp, which is now the subject of continuous severe bombardment since christmas started.” Am on my knees requesting for your donations. hey. i know i’ve been mad inactive for years, but i’ve been in somewhat of a situation.

i’ve been battling homelessness for the last 3 and a half years. it’s been long. i’ve bounced from friends couches to shelters to rehabs, just to have a roof over my head.

i’ve held a steady job for the last 3 years, but i got out of an abusive relationship last year- my ex took 8000$ total over the course of 3 months. they put me in massive debt to pay their rent, their boyfriend’s rent (yes, my ex cheated throughout the relationship and i didn’t want to argue about it), and more. i was the only one of us 3 working a stable job and receiving income. it got to a point where i had to leave, even if i was making myself homeless again in the process.

i found stable housing recently, but it won’t be stable for long.

i’m currently 600$ short on rent. i’m about to get evicted monday if i can’t cough it up.

i’ve been on disability from a concussion that gave me significant brain scarring- during a DV incident with my ex. My job has since been denying accommodations and refusing my return to work. I haven’t been getting a single dime since November.

i’m really struggling. i know a lot of you are too. but even 1$ helps.

but i’ve tried every other option. i don’t qualify for ODSP because i’m not in a wheelchair, nor am i intellectually disabled. i’ve tried to contact OW, but they haven’t replied and i’m on a deadline. i’m not eligible for EI as of right now, since i’m technically still employed. my employer is doing this on purpose to either force me to quit the job i’ve held for the last 3 years, EVEN throughout homelessness, (aka the only stability and consistency i’ve had throughout this ordeal) or return to work with NO accommodations for my brain injury.

Hello, I'm not sure if I'm doing this right, but I need help.

I'm working full time, but I'm just barely getting by. I was planning on getting groceries with my most recent paycheck, but it's been so cold lately that my car isn't starting. I was told I need to get a new car battery.

I can't get both a battery and food, and I really need both. I already skipped getting groceries last paycheck so I could pay all my bills. And now I'm worried that I'll either be unable to get to work, or be unable to get home if it gets too cold.

Help this family lay their daughter to rest

On Saturday night, January 7th, a mass shooting occurred in Madison County, Alabama at a 21st birthday party. There were multiple shooters and only two have been arrested so far. Two women were confirmed dead on the scene, and another 11 were shot and injured. One of those victims was Quantasia Grant, originally from Florida. She, like the other victim Kaitlyn Jenkins, was only 20 years old.

I’m posting a link here to the GoFundMe set up by Quantasia Grant’s family, to raise money to pay for a proper memorial service.
