Last but not least! You owned a monkey (or a spider monkey) but you and your monkey go EVERYWHERE together so its not hard for him to figure it out, since you two starting dating he was introduced to your monkey, he doesn’t mind that silly little fella he just wants to spend time with you and sometimes when your off doing errands or something else, your monkey just hangs out with Peirro, one time, Peirro had the monkey on his shoulders while in a fatui meeting (I feel like any of them would take your pet to a metting when there good with them, besides the shark… sadly)

i have this headcanon that alex is sooo into sea related things (ESPECIALLY SHARKS) and it’s like something she fixates on and one of the things in her bucket list is to go scuba diving. she often invites casey to go do it with her but casey is lowkey afraid of exploring the ocean ( the thought that only 5-ish% of the ocean has been explored scares her) and refuses to go everytime she’s asked.

but like on time they got into this huge fight and it made alex very sad and stressed that she eventually got distant which ended up stressing casey as well. casey ended up going to a toy store and bought a shark plush and some kiddie snorkel goggles and showed up to alex’s office being like:

“i’m sorry and i love you and i want to spend the rest of my life swimming with the sharks with you even though i think it’s scary. my fear of the ocean’s great unknown is nothing compared to my love for you. so i dont care if we die exploring the sea, as long as im doing it with you, i’m good”

this shocks alex because she learns about casey’s fear of the deep waters but also leaves her in awe because her ginger of a gf did something out of the usual. like, yes casey is naturally affectionate when it comes to her but the thought of casey stepping out of her comfort zone just to make alex happy is not something she expected.

so alex ends up forgiving her and offering her an alternative that casey happily agreed to. they make up and shared a week worth of kisses (duh they’re horny sapphics and they missed each other so bad they had to make up for it). they ended that day eating chinese food and alex teased casey for buying kid sized snorkeling goggles even though she’s well aware it doesn’t fit either of them.

A small sigh left his mouth as he finally caved in “Ok baby we can go, but you have to promise to eat all of your veggies tonight if we go” a big smile appeared across your face as you nodded your head “Ok!” you said as you ran back to the play room to where petey was playing with some Legos. “Papa said dat we can go to the library!” you said excitedly. dunno, maybe a new disney books” you said. Once you got them cleaned up petey grabbed you backpack which had a comfort stuffie, a paci, a figit toy, some snacks. He walked with you into the living room as he grabbed yours and his shoes, putting his on as your papa and dada walked out. “Are you guys almost ready?” Steve asked as bucky grabbed the keys and went to start the car. “Yeps just gotta get m shoes on” you said as you slipped them on. As you were about to run out to the car Steve stopped you “Not so fast sweetheart, your shoes are untied” he said as you looked down “ Dont worry i got it!” petey said as he went over to you helping you tie your shoe. “tank you bubba” you said giving him a hug. He smiled hugging you back, then the three of you made you way to the car.  

About 30 minutes later the four of you arrived, Buckey helped you out of your seat while Steve got petey out. All of you held hands as you walked through the parking lot and into the front of the book store “Ok kiddos you know the rules, no leaving the kid section and if anybody is mean to you, you come and get up immediately, ok?” Buckey said as you and petey nodded your heads.  “Ok kiddos, me and papa will be at the desk, if you need anything let us know and make sure the two of you stay together at all times” he said.  

Once he got done giving his speech petey grabbed your hand and walked over to the kid's section starting to look around the books with you. You spotted a book with a puppy on it and went on your tip toes to get it, slightly struggling. Petey looked over at you to see that you needed help and walked over getting the book down for you. “tank yous” you said as you held the book in your hands, walking over to the little reading corner that had bean bags and tables to sit at. You went and sat in the bean bag chair, opening your book and looking through the pages and gently moving your fingers on the pictures. You looked at petey who was looking at a book about sharks and got up  and walked over to him “Hey bubba, tan u pease read to mes” you asked carefully holding up the book. 

“Of course, buggy” he said as he put down the book and then walked back with you in the corner, sitting down in the bean bag chair beside you, putting your head on his shoulder and then he finally started to read. As petey started to read you felt your eyes feel slightly heavy, but not wanting to take a nap you tried to force yourself to stay awake. Petey noticed u starting to fall asleep, so he tried his best to grab a book from the shelf beside him without waking you up.  Once he had the other book in his lap, he continued to read the book you gave him as your eyes soon fell shut, he put your book off to the side carefully.  

About 10 minutes later Steve and bucky go in to check on the two of you, soon being met with a sight that filled adoration. The two of them walked over to y'all “How ya doin there kiddo?” Steve asked with a soft voice. Petey gave him a thumbs-up as he didnt want to take any chances of waking you up. “Thats good bud, but i think its time to head home now” Steve said as bucky walked over to you carefully picking you up trying not to wake up and quietly walked to the car while steve helped peter put the books away and then headed out the door.  

The rest of the night went smoothly, with you taking a nap and having pizza for dinner and even papa and dada letting you stay up a little later due to petey staying the night. this might be strange but what about fishman!sanji? as in, Sanji is raised on Fishman Island? he escaped Germa but nearly drowns if it wasnt for a fishman who rescued the strange human and he was brought down to be nursed back to health. If Jinbei's still there then maybe he argues to look after the kid as proof of improving human-fishman relations and Sanji is very happy to be there because!! he's actually in the sea!!! he always loved the ocean and fish and swimming and surely the fishmen can help him find All Blue (they dont know how but are endeared enough to let him expllore their archives for clues)

sanji ends up being a huge difference in terms of fishman attitudes towards humans because its so hard for anyone to hate this excitable kid who genuinely thinks fishmen and mermaids are cooler than humans and is obsessed with figuring out how to cook underwater. sanji is a little hesitant with the royals due to general trauma but ends up getting close to them! closest to jinbei tho, shark dad for the win!!

i picture sanji either meeting the crew at the baratie, maybe on one of his excursions to find clues on the all blue, or maybe at sabaody, because he snuck away from the island to try to save camie and any other enslaved mermaids. or maybe something else? rest is up to your brilliant mind <3

Sanji weak and fresh out of the dungeon in the ocean drowning and is found by a fishman. The fishman knows something is terribly wrong so he takes Sanji to Fishman Island and presents Sanji to Jinbei who as a former slave would be able to help the boy more. Jinbie spends a lot of time with Sanji, studying the boy and helping him. Trying to gauge how deep the trauma runs and it's deep. Sanji is skittish, not just from fishman but mer people and others too. Even his time on land has him hiding behind Jinbei.

He tells Jinbie about his dream and Jinbei offers to introduce him to the royals and help get him access to the archives. Sanji is shaking and doing his best and when the king asks about his fear Jinbei says it's not through prejudice but trauma. Trauma from royals specifically. The king nods and grants Sanji access so Jinbei takes him and Sanji flits around the room looking, he starts getting excited after a while. He's flitting around and talking animatedly about the All Blue. Jinbei smiles very fondly at the boy in front of him.

Jinbei helps him for weeks but they find nothing so they talk to travelers and nomads and migratory fishman and merpeople. They never find out but Jinbei teaches him cooking. How they cook underwater and what they eat and the diet he as a fishman follows.

Also in line with everyone but Mihawk, Jinbei absolutely takes Sanji to Warlord meetings and gets him into some of the archives and libraries. He talks to other humans about the All Blue. Sanji is an actual delight to have at Warlord meetings. Sometimes he'll bring snacks or Fujitora will take him to the kitchen to cook something and eat and tell the boy stories. Sanji still asks everyone about the All Blue.

Sanji grows up like a fucking immaculate swimmer. He can hold his breath for ages and dive so fucking deep. He calls Jinbei dad around eleven and just keeps it going. Jinbei smiles every time his son calls him that.

When Sanji is old enough he sets out to go search for the All Blue and gets a job at Baratie to find information from other travelers. Which is how he gets into the Strawhats crew. Everything is canon until Sabaodyish when they meet Chamie who is talking to Sanji like they're old friends and Sanji mentions off handedly he grew up on Fishman Island.

And when they get there after the time skip and the royals are welcoming Sanji back and everyone is confused again. Jinbei comes by to join the Strawhat crew and he and Sanji are hugging and calling him 'dad' and Luffy is like "oh, that's why all the warlords seemed to know you. How come crocodile didn't recognize you in Alabasta?"

"Probably because I never really talked to them, sometimes I would bring snacks but mostly I was looking for clues to the All Blue." Sanji shrugs.

And then obviously Jinbei promises to meet up with them soon and of course the next time we see him is in WCI and Jinbei listens to his son about not killing his birth family. Once they're in the clear Sanji and Jinbei are sitting together and Jinbei says if they step even a millimeter out of line they are dead. Sanji nods and says they have more important things to worry about. Jinbei nods and agrees and pats his son's head.

Hello long time listener!

honestly i know you were kidding but i am now genuinely interested. I have a few sharks that could be most likely to understand greek philosophy (from least to most likely)

3. Angel Shark

Angelsharks are a group of sharks that are known for their flattened shape (almost like a ray)! They eat crustaceans, fish, and molluscs in an "asassin" style - burying in the sand and waiting for prey to walk by to snap them up!

Why i think they'd know greek philosophy: they are the most commonly sighted shark on the Mediterranean (and therefore greek) coastline, living in shallow areas. This means that it's possible for them to hear people on the coastline talking about greek philosophy!

2. Thresher Shark

Thresher sharks are a group of species in the mackrel shark family, known for their long whip-like tails. They use them for hunting schools of fish, where they will use their caudal fin to hit the fish and knock them out! Additionally, a fun fact about them is that they can regulate their internal body temperature! I think their cool hunting method shows that they are more complex than their goofy expression suggests. I mean, just look at their face...

Besides their knowledge, thresher sharks have another reason why they are on this list: they have been written about by aristotle himself!!! He writes about the clever nature of the shark, for biting fishing lines they were attached to and protecting babies in their mouths. If they are smart and have met one of the greatest philosophers of all time, who's to say that they dont know a bit of his philosophy?

1. Shortfin Mako Shark

The shortfin mako shark is a species of shark known for its incredibly high speeds when hunting - the fastest recorded speed being 46 miles per hour (although usually 30 miles per hour)!! Additionally, their bite force is something to be reckoned with, the highest recorded being ~13,000N !! Unlike the other sharks on my list, they are not inheritely from the Mediterranean, and instead are pelagic (ocean) sharks that migrate. They primarily hunt bony fish and cephlapods.

I think these sharks would be most likely to know greek philosophy as they have the largest brain-to-body ratio companies to other sharks. Additionally, they spend a lot of time on their own in open ocean, giving them time to think. It's possible that they could even make up their own philosophical beliefs!

Do you got any goobers that aren't inklings or octos?

I'm assuming cuttlefish and bobtails don't count for this one. I do have many OCs that aren't inkfish, but pretty much all of them so far are side characters. It's more difficult to create in-depth characters out of non-Inklings due to the COMPLETE LACK of worldbuilding and any other building Splatoon has for like, every species, we don't know how many species lifespans or societies or languages or anything works. Or like how many species are out there with hundreds of eggs per clutch and how are those kids raised? Et cetera. But I'll add some of them to this post.

Al, a fuzzy Nautilus and Poppy's (Peppermint's younger sister) boyfriend, as of very recent

Finston, a Salmonid who grew up in Inkopolis raised by squid, and his adopted son Kiddo who got stranded in Inkopolis during the Wahoo World Big Run. He plays in a reggae band with some of my other OCs and comes up with random species of fish to introduce himself as when people ask about his species.

(Boy is also part of this group. he has like 3 different music careers going on at the same time.)

The Flavorful Chef of Whitefish Dam, Master of Seasoning, a Salmonid who owns a small restaurant in the Splatlands selling grilled salmon. The squids call her "Chef" for short because ain't no one gonna remember that. She was Peppermint's boss for a while.

Kala, a goldband fusilier that is Poppy's friend from middle school, and a huge photography nut

Dell, a yellowfin pufferfish working at Sweet Beak Bakery (YOU WON'T GET POISONED UNLESS YOU TRY TO EAT THEM FOR SOME REASON PLEASE DONT.) They have anxiety.

Tali, a whitetip reef shark and the producer of Deep Sea Dead Zone's first album, they made so much profit off of it that they were able to start their own production studio.

Thor, a black long-spine urchin and a tattoo artist, he's made Boy's, Peppermint's and Amber's tattoos.

Prawnette, a humpback prawn and graphic designer/artist. Squid Squad stan as well.

Late night WMFTD mermaid au stuff. I thought maybe some people would enjoy the HCs since i dont know when I will be able to post the fic.

Y/N

Titan mermaid, built for strength and speed. Apex predator and have hunting trails that go worldwide. These guys evolved to hunt big game such as great white sharks, orcas, dolphins, octopuses and the like.

they will eat almost anything however.

Their tails varied, but y/n’s tail is similar to orcas. He is also large even for a titan mermaid. His teeth are shark-like,however like all titans mermaids 

His clan/culture is very spartan. They pride themselves on being strong warriors and glory on the battlefield and the hunt. It is a great honor to die in such ways. For those who chose to give birth, dying in childbirth is an honorable death.

children and mates are highly valued, they even have a celebration once a year to bless all kids with strength and good health. Mates are given gifts. They are to be protected above all else 

It is common among mates to tease about eating the other for a snack. Bite marks are a sign of affection. both which isn’t common with other mermaid clans.

red is considered a lucky color, blessed by their goddess.

In the fic, he is the clan’s king after his parents had happily retired and his advisers had been hounding him to find a mate and produce heirs. His parents aren’t helping, often suggesting baby names to him over breakfast.

He took one look at Hypnos, who was barely awake when they met and fell right in love. 

Hypnos

Siren mermaid, beautiful creatures that adore living in warm sea waters, are often found in reefs or sunbathing on rocks. While they do occasionally eat seafood, they also eat seaweed and other plants.

They can hunt but mostly small, easy game. To coexist with the reef they only hunt outside of it and don’t eat anything that lives alongside them.

Which causes them problems when the orcas/sharks/everything bigger than them close by realize they make easy prey.

Tails and their colors are their crowning glory. The more jewel-tone the tail is, the higher the beauty. However colors follow a trend, and right now dark colors are in due to many wanting to be as beautiful as Queen Nyx and her deep amethyst tail.

They all really love shiny things.

Gender/sex is a joke to them, they can and often do change sex easily. Sometimes on the same day. Hypnos tends to favor his tail pattern with female sexual organs due to a more powerful shine while male sexual organs are more muted. 

Mates and children are more commonplace, so while loved and wished for dearly, there is no real big celebration for them beyond birthdays and personal anniversaries.

Mates will give each other high quality/rare food or goods as a sign of affection, it is believed jewelry is the ultimate show of how one prizes their mate. 

Y/N, to court hypnos, would bring all kinds of unique meat or food that his kind could never get their hands on, during dinner times where others could witness. Hypnos hated that it is actually kinda working. The jealous looks shot his way is just the cherry on top.

In the fic, Hypnos still doesn’t understand why a Titan king picked him. Or why he keeps commenting about eating Hypnos. Or why he kinda likes it. He just wants the damn whales to stop hunting his kind.

17/8/24 [2X DIYS!! draft from yesterday — key + significant photos at end]

woke up at 4 because i got mixed up last night regarding the bootsale and thought it was today. i soon realised that my dad agreed to take me tomorrow, so i went back to sleep. i slept on and off, and actually woke up at 8:40. when i woke up, i scrolled on emo/sceneblr and saw that ronnie radke streamed and i missed it :’[ - i attatched pictures of my DIY’s and stuff to the upcoming weekly recap and went through a few more drafts. i spent quite a lot of time just on socials and looking through pinterest so i finally got round to doing something at 10:50. i saved a spiderweb made out of wire in my DIY pinterest board yesterday and wanted to try. i then put on the ronnie radke stream for something to listen to in the backround. i tried for ages to make it look cool, but it’s safe to say, i failed miserably. so i decided to make a bracelet instead. i used plain black elastic and these rainbow-black beads that smell of metal [i don’t know how to explain the colour, you’ll see in the photo at the end]

once i was done [11:20] i painted a few more rocks. i attempted to make one with multiple sharks on, then a single great white, a fish skeleton, and just a spiral patterned rock. the multiple shark one was an utter disaster and i messed up the spiral rock with black paint but it sort of looks textured now so i’m not devastated about it. i just don’t think anyone else will be able to look at it and not think it’s the ugliest thing they’ve ever seen in their life because i can’t see through its ugliness either. they’re all incredibly imperfect but i honestly prefer things when they’re messy. i still am a perfectionist though, if that makes sense. i only like certain things to be scruffy, like my patch stitching, or painting, or sometimes physical writing. anyway, i think i’ll keep the great white and fish skeleton one, i’ll probably paint over the spiral it’s literally atrocious. while doing this, the ronnie [radke] stream ended so i started listening to sky eats aeroplane and get scared. i finished doing the rocks at 12:12, counting the time i waited for the paint to dry. afterwards i went outside with boris from 12:20 to 1:50 when i got dressed. while i was out there a few horses came by and the people riding them were shouting about something or another. today i wore this low cut black + checkered shirt that used to be my mums, black ripped skinny jeans, knee high converse, a studded belt, a taxidermy scorpion necklace, a taxidermy silver fox tail [with a barn owl keychain attatched], gray + black striped arm warmers sleeping with sirens bracelet, long spiked cuff bracelet, the new bracelet id made, mcr bracelet, can tab bracelet, and a panic! at the disco bracelet. today me, my parents and my sister were going to a party. i dont know or anyone remembers or if anyone reads my journals to know, but quite a while ago my neighbour that id never met before invited me and my family to his wife’s birthday party. upon getting there, two random women started speaking about how much i’d grown up but i swear i’ve never been around them before haha. i noticed a girl playing with the younger children in the huge garden and thought she looked epic. she had dark purple roots and her neck was decorated in gothic jewellery. she also had a couple of piercings but i couldn’t see what type because of the distance i was from her. i got frustrated because i knew that i wouldn’t have the confidence to even compliment her and both of my parents seemed to think she was at least in her 20s. while i was speaking to my dad about approaching her, she walked away from the kids and came up to me.

she said she loved my outfit and that i reminded her of her younger self. she also asked what bands im into but i’m terrible at listening things off the top of my head so i scrolled through a bit of my playlist and showed her. she mentioned loving mcr. while doing so, her friend walked over. she hyped up my playlist and the alt girl asked how old i am. i told her mine, and she said her age back. [shes currently 19, i’m going to assume the other friend is around the same age/the same age] i also asked if she’d seen any live bands, she said yes but didn’t name anything in particular. however she did mention that she’s also going to see slipknot in december!! not at the same venue as me, though.

afterwards she asked if i wanted to come up to the bar and get a drink with them both. i said i already had a drink over at my chair and they encouraged me to follow them anyways. once they’d gotten their drinks, we all sat on a beanbag next to a fountain in the garden. they took out cigarettes and J [the alt girl, the other one i think is still alt but dosent dress in a way that’d give it off] started asking about school and if i have any alt friends. i told her and N [the other girl] that i’m not in school or technically being homeschooled, and told them a little bit about my social life. we all just talked about how hard it is to be alt/have any kind of alt mindset in school [or in general] and how ruthless people can be. J also showed me some pictures of her in secondary.

N was already pretty drunk [i assume, or she might’ve had bad memory] and kept on forgetting about me not going to school. they were both the loveliest people i’ve ever come across and i was literally ecstatic. i think they were both glad i came across them as well considering they related to not having any alt freinds at some point and how lonely it can feel. J kept on making sure i was okay with them drinking/smoking and asked if she was being a bad influence. i honestly don’t mind what people do around me, so. THEY WERE SO NICE AA I CANT BELIEVE I MET THEM!!!!

it started getting colder outside as the sky got darker and the music was super loud so J invited me to come up to her room with N. turns out that J is the grandchild of my neighbours. she lives in scotland, but comes down quite often to meet up with family. as for N, she lives in the same town as the grandad i last saw, where i got my evanescence and avril cd. before going upstairs, they both got another drink and once again, asked if i wanted anything. i haven’t really had alcohol in large amounts before so i said it would be cool to try vodka/coca cola. they asked if i was sure and we went up to get our drinks. after we made our way up to J’s room and all sat on her bed. we just spoke about random stuff while i tried getting used to my drink [i haven’t had vodka before i’m a loser i know]. J started playing some screamo/metal music but i didn’t get the opportunity to ask what band it was. [8:45pm]

we spoke about random stuff, more about what it’s like to have alt friends, cool alt clubs i could go to when i’m 18, that i can text/game with either of them if i’d like, and we exchanged instagrams. i didn’t get N’s but she said for me to ask J’s for it when i text her at home. this whole night i smiled more than i have in at least a year, not even overreacting. the last time i can remember being so full of just every positive emotion was when i got boris/my late cat, riley. and we got boris 4 years ago. N started getting the munchies and J suggested i should get something to eat because of me drinking. we went downstairs to the kitchen and J got be some crisps. she opened up about past eating issues while we were upstairs so she already knew that i’m nervy about eating too.

while we were there, this younger boy, one of the children that J and N were playing with earlier started filling a toy truck with popcorn and delivering it to people. meanwhile, J and N spoke to these other two girls. i’m pretty sure J mentioned that they’re her cousins, and that N is also really close with her family. i let them speak and we sat in the kitchen eating for a while. what we did after this is kind of a blur as this was when i was starting to get drowsy, but i’m almost certain we went back outside after eating. the music was somewhat louder and they were playing more singalong tracks. J and N got up on the dance floor bit [which is actually a really cool pateo, the floor is originally from a cobble road in london and my neighbour got it taken out and put in his garden.]

they were playing pitbull, oasis, kings of leon, the killers, etc. J could sense that i didn’t know what to do and didn’t want to watch them because that’d be weird, so she consensually pulled me up onto the dance floor. she put my hand in hers and we danced together. for oasis and the killers [possibly more, i cant remember] all of us, me, J and N danced together and interlocked arms/hands. i don’t think i’d ever felt that free or comfy in myself. like, i danced.. in front of tons of total strangers. i danced for what felt like forever [in a good way, i was loving it. i also don’t know if this is odd to say concidering our age difference, even though i only mean it in a platonic way, but it was nice to be held hands with and included with activities. i haven’t willingly engaged in any kind of physical touch in years [literally] as i really struggle with it and a few other things. but yeah, it felt really nice to be comforted by the holding of hands + dancing.]

all of us were leaning into eachother and swaying our hair and shaking our heads whenever any kind of beat dropped. we’d all come closer to eachother and sing at one another. after definitely over an hour of dancing and singing our hearts out, we were understandingly exhausted so J and N sat down on the outside chairs and smoked some more. we sat mostly in silence, while talking about how nice tonight had been/how fun dancing was [etc] every now and then. the music finishes and people started to pack up, so my parents signalled for us to head off. at this point, my sister had gone home absolutely ages ago to game with her friends. which is good in a way because otherwise she would’ve followed me around/found out about me drinking/and possibly told someone. shes reliable with secrets until she’s not, kind of thing.

we said our goodbyes, hugged and then walked across the side of the road home. we got back at approximately 12:20 and i attempted to process how much fun id had and the fact that i literally made FRIENDS. TWO FRIENDS. i’m quite literally overjoyed. and super excited to see them again. J’s mum seemed to like me and she [J] said that we’ll be able to meet up again, hopefully decently soon. i watched a patrick stump X pete wentz interview, had a 15 minute nap, and asked my questions about boris at 1 after my sister had gone to sleep. me and my mum got into an argument again [we usually do, it’s not really ever me and my dad that have a full on argument.] she got mad at me because she slipped up and said something implying that boris won’t be the slightest bit okay tomorrow so i freaked and started sobbing.

i finically finished at about 3 and cried over how loud and angry my mum was at me up until roughly 3:20. i shouldn’t really have been overwhelmed/sad concidering how much of a success the party ended up being, but i was just so terrified that boris wouldn’t be okay/awake in the morning and my mum wasn’t making it any better. i appreciate how annoying all of this is for the both of them, but she refused to try and understand/address my concern even after me explaining and my dad going through it aswell. she knows how paranoid i am over boris and she just ultimately told me she didn’t care [not exact words] and that i was trying to make myself scared/feel bad.

once coming downstairs, i tried to calm myself down, got undressed into my onesie, did my teeth, and then said goodnight to boris. i did this quite ‘late’ as i had to wait until id completely stopped crying because boris sometimes gets scared over the sound of crying/sniffling. i finished saying goodnight to him at nearly 4am. before i was about to go to sleep, boris welcomed himself into my room and crawled inside my clothing drawers. i started to get worried as i heard scratching and he wasn’t coming out, but he did soon enough and let me fuss him for a bit while he ate, before i got into bed. i went to sleep at 4:10 and eliminated the thought of even trying to write a bit of my journal as i was so tired. [that’s why this is draft, sorry lol]

i just notice so much like…toxic yuri in ii, i dont wanna accuse them of sapphicphobia or lesbophobia bc i dont believe thats the case, but mlw ships (fantube and silvercandle) and mlm ships (nickeloon) get so much positive attention in the show but wlw ships (cabtube and tacomic) get so much negative attention or little attention at all (testbulb and soapmic).

the fandoms disgregard for wlw in general makes me upset especially since cabby was a core character for many lesbians back in feb-april 2022 especially with her exit interview. i get emotional but that’s because cabby means a lot to me, especially since her exit interview came out just when i found out i was lesbian

HONESTLY!!!!!! Theres so much more heavily implied/basically canon content for the straight ships especially and its just like. man.

"But just because they gave fantube a child and everything doesn't mean they're dati-" I mean technically yeah but they're giving a massive amount of attention to that ship with plenty of moments and fanservice for them, even Test Tube straight up getting revenge for Fan against Cabby. Let's not forget the whole meetup thing with Fantube either.

The writers DO notice certain ships being popular and definitely play into that. It's irritating to see people feign ignorance about it when it's right there in front of us.

(I remember seeing a screenshot of Adam tweeting a storyboard of balloon having his hand on nickel with a blushing emoji, but i sadly can't remember where i saw it, i think it was in a deleted tumblr post unfortunately.) (So you're free to take this w/ a grain of salt but if anyone has any information on that. lemme know.)

(There's also the obvious. Silver blushing in ii17 and having a whole scene of him saving her from a shark and everything. I know there's that whole ii18 thing but like, there's no way there isn't gonna be some kind of forgiveness or reconciliation scene after they went out of their way to do all that in the previous episode knowing ii. come on.)

Even with some of the more "healthy" wlw ships it's really saddening to see almost nothing for them. ESPECIALLY in season 3, a lot of the female characters have their storylines or biggest moments either revolve around men or they get shoved into a guy's story.

As someone who's been back-and-forth questioning my own orientation, Cabby means an awful lot to me too. In fact, the whole Cabby being betrayed in episode 7 stuff was part of what got me like... VERY attached to her as a character. I don't wanna go into detail, but some parts of it hit VERY close to home.

I've also been thinking.... Cabby is VERY strategic and especially in the earlier episodes she's very serious about the competition. But in ii7...?

She goes out of her way to give a lot of her files to someone she was fighting just a few episodes ago!!! She also doesn't seem to harbor much ill will towards Test Tube either until she realized she was backstabbed!

Now why would Cabby, someone who seemingly only allied "for the sake of the game" do something that could easily backfire so tremendously like that? Why would she put her own possessions on the line in that way for Test Tube?

Haha I dunno. just a thought.
