This week, the Biden administration announced it is taking on more of what it calls "everyday headaches and hassles that waste Americans' time and money." There are actions to simplify health insurance paperwork, crack down on fake product reviews, streamline parent-teacher communications in schools and circumvent those automated customer service calls that the White House labels "doom loops."

I tried to call Verizon to get a mobile hotspot put on my phone plan, but they won't put you through to a person anymore; it's all the AI guy, and it just leads you through endless multiple choice menus and long story short I do not have a hotspot.

Tim and Danny: The Couple That Could Have Been
Tim Drake and Danny Fenton weren’t just Gotham’s it couple—they were the couple.
Tim, the poised and brilliant CEO, and Danny, the charismatic streamer with a chaotic streak, were the kind of pair that inspired faith in love. Their relationship was public but never performative. The candid photos, the impromptu livestreams where Danny would drag Tim into the frame to tease him about his “ridiculously expensive suits,” the way Tim would smile when he thought no one was looking—it all seemed so real, so untouchable.
For years, they were inseparable, the picture of what love should look like. And Gotham believed in them. People joked that they’d be together in every timeline, every universe, because how could they not be? They were made for each other.
So when Danny uploaded a new video one unassuming Tuesday, everyone thought they knew what was coming.
The engagement announcement.
Danny’s setup was different this time—gone were the familiar vibrant backgrounds and playful chaos. The walls were bare, his face somber, his voice quieter than anyone had ever heard.
“Tim and I…” He paused, swallowing hard. “We’ve decided to go our separate ways.”
What?
No, that couldn’t be right.
This was Tim and Danny. The couple everyone was convinced would make it through anything. The couple people joked would find each other in every timeline, every universe, because it was always them.
But Danny kept talking, his voice trembling as he explained—without really explaining—that they couldn’t make it work. No details, no messy drama, just a quiet goodbye that left everyone feeling like the air had been stolen from the room.
———
The Batfamily found out the same way everyone else did—through Danny’s video. They hadn’t even realized anything was wrong. The last time they saw Tim and Danny together, they’d been the same as always: teasing, bantering, comfortable in each other’s presence.
Bruce was the first to confront Tim about it, cornering him in the Manor with that familiar stern frown.
“Tim, what happened?”
Tim didn’t answer. He couldn’t.
Because he didn’t know either.
Danny had been the one to end it. One day they were fine—perfect, even—and the next, he was breaking up with Tim over coffee, quiet and somber, like he was grieving something Tim couldn’t see.
“I just… we can’t,” Danny had said, his voice trembling. “I’m sorry, Tim. I love you. I’ll always love you. But we can’t keep doing this.”
And that was it. No further explanation.
Now, Tim was left packing up his things from the apartment they’d shared, trying to piece together what went wrong. Danny was on the other side of the room, just as quiet, boxing up his own belongings. They didn’t speak. Couldn’t.
The space between them had never felt so vast.
“I love you,” Danny had said, his voice breaking. “I’ll always love you. But I can’t… we can’t keep doing this.”
And just like that, it was over.
And Danny? Danny knew exactly why.
———
Danny Fenton was a coward.
He’d gone to Clockwork for help after the first heartbreak, unable to bear the thought of living in a world without Tim Drake. He couldn’t undo the pain of losing Tim to the Justice League’s doomed mission, but he could relive the good years.
Clockwork had hesitated.
“This is dangerous, Daniel,” he warned, but Danny didn’t care. He didn’t want to forget Tim. He didn’t want to move on.
So Clockwork granted him his wish.
Again and again, Danny went back. Every time their relationship reached the point of no return—where Tim’s inevitable death loomed on the horizon—Danny would break up with him, retreat to Clockwork, and start over. He couldn’t bear to see Tim die, not again.
But the cycle wasn’t perfect. The cracks showed with each repetition. Danny’s breakups became harder to explain, his excuses more transparent. He could see the hurt in Tim’s eyes, the way his walls went up higher and higher with every iteration.
And still, Danny went back.
Because he couldn’t stop.
Because he couldn’t let go.
———
This time, though, it was different.
This time, as he packed his things, Danny felt the weight of what he’d done pressing down on him like never before. Tim wasn’t angry. He wasn’t even questioning it anymore.
He just looked tired.
And Danny hated himself for being the reason why.
The world moved on, but Gotham felt the loss of Tim and Danny like a phantom limb.
The bats watched Tim retreat further into himself, his work becoming his sole focus, an impenetrable wall between him and everyone else. They wanted answers, but Tim wouldn’t give them. And Danny? Danny disappeared from Gotham entirely, his absence leaving a wound that never seemed to heal. Maybe that’s why Tim would find himself on that mission, before Danny's loop restarted everything again—caught in the endless cycle of fate, unaware of how close he was to losing it all for good.
Clockwork didn’t say anything when Danny returned again, his face pale and his hands shaking. He just stared at Danny with quiet pity, his form shifting through time as if he were trying to decide what version of himself could make Danny stop.
“You can’t keep doing this, Daniel,” Clockwork said softly.
Danny didn’t answer.
Because he knew he’d be back.
Because he couldn’t stop.
Because he’d rather relive the heartbreak a thousand times than face another world where Tim Drake was gone for good.

Crab off! --gives your Loop a mouth-- because in this family not eating Bonnie's food is a crime.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, remember this comic I did the other day? At first it was just gonna be a random Odile looping au comic, but then I said "what if the family DOES interact with Loop in the fic I'm writing?" And this happened.
A little explanation (cause I don't know when will I finish this fic so I may as well tell the story in comics or something):
We apply the 'teams' here (beauty alliance and opposite sides of the age spectrum alliance). That means (since act 4) Mirabelle knows Isabeau is looping, Isabeau knows Mirabelle is looping; Odile knows Bonnie is looping and Bonnie knows Odile is looping; but no one knows EVERYONE is looping (I will assume this makes sense).
Why hasn't Loop say anything about this to the other family members? Because.
Why hadn't they told Siffrin that the rest of the party is looping? Because Siffrin knows already but he's in negation, to put it simple (and because something something they know Siffrin would mcblinding lose it and they don't want that)
I'm also gonna add the little fact that Loop's mask only works with Siffrin, and it slips a bit TOO often with the rest of the family.
Are you seeing the possible drama??? Do you see my vision???
Anyways, full and alt text under cut, I'm going to sleep or finish that hollow knight skin, whatever comes first BYE

Alt text:
First page:
- First panel shows Bonnie bringing Loop a plate of dumplings. Loops is sitting at the favor tree (they're wearing Odile's coat from the previous comic)
Bonnie: "Star head!"
Loop: "don't call me that kid."
Bonnie: "I bring you. Dumplings."
- Second panel shows Loop with a sad expression holding one of the dumplings
Loop: "Aww Bon-bon...
thank you but... I don't think I can eat anything at all" (whispering: "I don't have a mouth")
A text pointing at Loop says "trying not to burst into tears"
- Thirth panel shows Bonnie holding the plate of dumplings
Bonnie: "Yes you can!"
Loop: "wha-? No I'm pretty sure I-"
Bonnie: (interrupts) "You just have to ask for it!"
"To the universe or something"
"Is what the king said!"
- Forth panel:
Bonnie: "If Frin can ask for a country you can ask to eat!"
- Fifth panel:
Loop: -sigh- "Alright"
"I'll try"
- Sixth panel shows Loop somehow having a mouth under the light of their face and eating the dumpling.
- Seventh panel is Loop's surprised reaction.
Second page:
-First panel is both Loop and Bonnie surprised
Loop (thinking): "you can eat."
-Second panel:
Bonnie: "So? How is it?"
Loop (thinking): "you can eat!!! You can taste!!!"
A text pointing at Loop says "trying REALLY hard not to cry"
Thirth panel:
Bonnie: "uh... Loop?"
Loop: "thank you snack leader for this delicious meal"
A text pointing at Loop says "failure"
-Forth panel is Loop and Bonnie sitting at the favor three. Loop is cleaning their tears and Bonnie is sitting next to them about to fall asleep.

Foaming at the mouth here about to go insane PLEASE elaborate I will give you my firstborn if I need to
Go off fam
YEAH SO Basically imagine if all Blurrs are the same Blurr right. As an isekai protagonist he has this set of rules he has to follow every time he gets in a new universe. His job every time is to (more or less)
1 Make a cool appearance
2 Show the local “cool protagonist” that he isn’t that cool
3 You can’t have someone be cooler than protagonist so you has to die horribly now sorry~
4 Get sent to the next universe
And that shit goes for ETERNITY. He consistently forgets and fucks up peoples names because he can’t bother to remember them anymore. He slowly becomes snarky and sometimes rude for no reason because being tortured repeatedly is fucking depressing at the very least. His job is being a professional filler episode star. Appear - impress - disappear by dying in agony. Again and again and again and again
That is until he gets in the Shattered glass universe. Because for once he has to play a villain while the local “good hero protagonist” is Starscream?? Of all people?? Really?
Blurr does the usual stuff. Showing off his speed and moves. Making lots of comments. And then eventually dying by being smelted alive in lava which is…holy shit that is painful. But then instead of just leaving him (as protags usually do) Starscream stays for a while and says something. I’m not sure what would he exactly say but it would sound very out of place. Like. Some kind of information that “this” version of Starscream just has NO WAY of knowing. And Blurr hears it and it clicks. He isn’t the only one
……..also I just think they’re funny when together

It was 1838 when the Great Death came to Wisborg, Germany. The last of its victims went willingly, bartering her body and blood to destroy a monster and protect her beloved.
Said beloved dies the same morning, though his body lives a while longer. Every day of breath and food is a loss. But he cannot end himself. Not after all she gave to ensure his safety. So the dead man sits in his living skin and follows the rules of maintaining it. Days to weeks to months to years.
There are very few of the latter, as it happens. The doctor will pen something down about a weak heart. Perhaps a belated demise caused by braving so much ailment in that cursed year. In truth, he knows the heart was not weak, but broken. Grief is a poison and it took the young man away before he ever reached his third decade.
Time passes.
In England, a boy and a girl fall in love. There is a connection that is both immediate and startling in its joy—as if they had known each other before and lost sight of the other in a crowd.
She is a cunning and insightful soul, brimming with a vision that she knows instinctively to dub mere ‘intuition.’ Somehow there is an older wisdom in her young head than there ought to be; she knows it is vital to be proper. To be upstanding. To not let the world catch wind of her being anything too outré. Little wonder she goes on to teach in etiquette classes.
He is a fellow apparently born to the flotsam and footwork of property law. For reasons he can’t name, he comes near to tears at how benevolent his employer is. Has been since he was a boy, all but the young man’s second father. A man the youth can trust and wishes to impress just as much as he wishes to build a future for his fiance. He would do anything for them.
For her.
Anything.
And so, when work calls him up out to the Carpathians, he stifles a sudden inexplicable spike of dread. As does she. It is only nerves. Only worry over such a long distance to travel. He will write, of course. It will be a grand adventure. And it will help them, won’t it? Of course. Of course.
He has such queer dreams en route to the castle.
Is it his voice he hears screaming in them? Is it his love’s?
(Turn back turn back the Scholomance had many students and though they died they still walk TURN BACK—)
He arrives at the castle. The Count is there to meet him.
Hell begins.
It stretches for months. It bleeds from one season into the next. Briefly, so briefly, it seems there is an exit before them in the shape of friends and knowledge—the Devil can be beaten!—but he wants to send his love away, out of the monster’s reach…
Too late.
(Again. Forever too late.)
Blood on her lips and welling from her throat. Her scream is of the damned. God Himself burns her; marked for all time—
(All lives.)
—as out of Heaven’s reach.
“Unclean! Unclean!”
(No. No!)
He witnesses the gallant oaths their friends make. Of course, of course they will slay her in mercy. It as God wills. As the Devil wills. As she, his love, his martyr Maiden to Death’s callous aim, wills. How lovely that they are all in agreement.
(Again.)
No.
No. It is as simple as that. No. No. No. He does not allow it. Does not accept it. He will sell himself if need be.
But not before he collects the Count’s head.
And look—look—look—
(LOOK!)
—a miracle: he does it. He and the American feed their steel into the monster and the monster crumbles just as the sun dips low. The American collapses, death pooling in him as—
(LOOK LOOK LOOK)
—the young woman, purged of the Count’s venom, comes to their side, whole and alive and weeping at the sacrifice. When the couple’s child comes, he will wear the names of all who aided them, but always with the American’s name at the top. The boy is very young and so may still lay between his parents, sleeping in the nest of their arms. In the warm quiet, the young man and the young woman stare into each other. Their lips smile and their eyes run.
“I feel as if this was where we were supposed to be.”
She doesn’t ask what he means.
Instead, “Where we left off.”
He nods and brings his brow to hers. In their arms, their child hums and clings in his sleep. They spare a hand each to rake his hair. The others weave tight, anchoring.
“I love you.”
“I love you.”
It is the truth. As it ever was, as it ever is, as it ever shall be.
